DEICIDE Announce North American Tour Dates

Death metal legends DEICIDE are set to bring their relentless, unapologetic brutality to venues and festival stages across North America. Joined by ROTTING CHRIST & IMMOLATION, the onslaught begins in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on April 9 before bleeding through the states to Little Rock, Arkansas, on May 26. 

Since their inception in 1987, DEICIDE has left a ferocious mark on the genre and there are no intentions of slowing down. In over three decades the band has released thirteen studio albums, their latest being 2024's Banished By Sin, released via Reigning Phoenix Music, that is ingrained with thunderous aggression and power.

The legendary death metal band was formed in Tampa, Florida, in 1987 by current and surviving members, drummer/composer Steve Asheim, and bassist/vocalist/lyricist Glen Benton. The band rose to mainstream success in 1992 with their second album Legion, and is credited as the second-best-selling death metal band of the Soundscan Era. Since their debut album in 1990, DEICIDE has released twelve studio albums, one live album, two compilation albums and two live DVDs. In November 2003, their first two albums, Deicide and Legion, were ranked second and third place respectively in best-selling death metal albums of the SoundScan era. DEICIDE is known for being uncompromising and crafting some of the best, most punishing Death Metal music in their three decade-plus of existence. New York death metal titans IMMOLATION are charging into 2026 at full throttle with two massive tours and the announcement of their highly anticipated twelfth studio album, Descent, arriving April 10th via Nuclear Blast Records.

Ever since their landmark 1991 debut, Dawn of Possession, the band has set an unwavering standard for innovation, influencing generations of extreme metal worldwide. Their sound remains singular, driven by Bob Vigna’s signature fretwork—a masterclass of soaring leads and haunting, atmospheric dirges.

Descent was captured across two locations: Justin Passamonte tracked guitars, bass, and vocals at Jpass Music, while drums were recorded at Mercinary Studios with Noah Buchanan. The production was a collaborative effort between the band and long-time engineer Zack Ohren, who also handled the mixing and mastering. The result is a muscular, high-fidelity production that captures the band’s most fiery and brooding moments with equal clarity. To call Descent "heavy" or "brutal" is an understatement; this is death metal with a unique, elevated voice that stands entirely alone.

Visually, the band has once again tapped Eliran Kantor to craft a haunting cover masterpiece—a true hallmark of the Immolation aesthetic— complemented by Santiago Jaramillo’s (Triple Seis Design) internal booklet illustrations. With this release, IMMOLATION reinforces their status as one of the most enduring and vital forces in the genre.

Acts Of God saw the return of long-time friend and recording counterpart Paul Orofino of Millbrook Studios (BLUE OYSTER CULT, BAD CO, GOLDEN EARRING) while final touches were brought about on the mixing and mastering by Zack Ohren of Castle Ultimate Studios. For the cover artwork, the band enlisted Eliran Kantor to create the haunting new masterpiece that featured the muted colors and ethereal images that are hallmarks for IMMOLATION's artwork. The artwork pieces Inside the booklet were created by Santiago Jaramillo of Triple Seis Design.

IMMOLATION will be kicking off their "Acts of God North American Tour 2022" on February 18th in Richmond, Virginia. The 24-date trek will make stops in Orlando, Seattle, and Montreal before concluding on March 19th at Irving Plaza in New York. IMMOLATION Release New Music Video For "Rise The Heretics" + Announce One Night Only Show At Irving Plaza On March 19th!

Yesterday, New York death metal giants, IMMOLATION, thanked the fans with a music video for "Rise The Heretics" which is the final chapter of the Atonement saga before the band starts releasing new material.

Once again Robert Vigna created and directed the music video while Angelo Damanti handled the camera work as well as served as the technical advisor and equipment specialist. The band's performance was filmed at Dark City Studios in Yonkers, NY.

IMMOLATION comments, "We want to thank all our fans for their tremendous support and patience during the last few years. We have one last offering from the 'Atonement' album that we would like to share with everyone before we begin the next chapter for IMMOLATION. We have more news on the way and look forward to seeing everyone again real soon!"
