Heavy Metallers RIVETSKULL Bring Dio's Legendary Music to Life with New Tour!

RIVETSKULL, the heavy metal powerhouse known for their electrifying live performances, are hitting the road to honor the legacy of the legendary Ronnie James Dio. Forged in the fires of a shared passion for Dio’s iconic music, RIVETSKULL is embarking on a special series of shows to celebrate the voice and spirit that has inspired countless fans around the globe.

“We owe so much to Ronnie for the decades of powerful, unforgettable music he’s given us—and we know we’re not alone in feeling that way,” the band shares.

The tour combines RIVETSKULL’s own hard-hitting metal with a celebration of Dio’s timeless catalog. Fans can look forward to a 45-minute set of RIVETSKULL’s original music, showcasing their unique sound and energy, followed by a 1-1/2 hour set of Dio’s greatest hits, spanning his legendary work with Rainbow, Black Sabbath, and Dio.

“In the streaming era, it’s harder than ever for bands to stand out and connect with true heavy metal fans. Instead of following the same formula, we decided to embrace what makes RIVETSKULL unique by returning to our roots,” the band explains.

“Before forming RIVETSKULL, we toured internationally as a Ronnie James Dio tribute band—not as imitators, but as musicians paying homage to a sound that’s part of our DNA. Dio’s music shaped who we are, and our performances have always been about channeling the power, emotion, and authenticity of his legacy—not just mimicking his look or stage show.

Rather than jumping on tours with mismatched lineups, we’re creating a concert experience that’s built for fans of traditional heavy metal. It’s a night where our original music shares the stage with a celebration of one of the genre’s greatest icons. This is our way to honor the roots of metal while forging our own path.”

In the misty streets of Seattle in 2009, four musicians united under the banner of metal legend Ronnie James Dio. Mark Plog, Chad McMurray, Michael Robson, and later Mark Hopkinsforged a fiery tribute that evolved into RIVETSKULL – not just disciples, but creators of their own heavy metal legacy.

RIVETSKULL stormed the Pacific Northwest, igniting audiences worldwide. Their debut album 'Trail of Souls: Samsara' (2023) marked a bold arrival, and with their sophomore release, 'Absence of Time', the band cemented its place in the metal scene.

Recently, Mark Hopkins chose to step back from the band to stay home with his family, and Johnny Massey has stepped in on bass.

Fusing raw power with diverse influences, RIVETSKULL crafts heavy, emotionally charged music that explores conflict, resilience, and unity. Their performances, known for intensity and passion, captivate fans across the globe.

Autumn Kings Sign to Hopeless Records // Listen to "SLEEP WHEN I'M DEAD" + "HELLBOUND"

Rock band AUTUMN KINGS, who have been steadily buzzing for the past year and with over 40 million streams and counting, have a landed a brand new label home.

The trio, known for crafting unforgettably hooky anthems, has officially signed to Hopeless Records, and will commence working on material imminently.

"We are so excited to officially sign a record deal with Hopeless Records," the band says. "We've admired the label's fierce independent spirit for over a decade and they helped give careers to some of our favorite bands who changed our lives and inspired us to do music — Avenged Sevenfold, Sum 41, and Yellowcard, to name a few. We feel that our new label partner and our team there truly understands our creative vision and supports where we want to go into the future."

The band continues, "Our most recent releases, 'SLEEP WHEN I'M DEAD' and 'HELLBOUND' both touch on the spirit of conquest — both physically and mentally. We are a band that wants to champion a warrior mindset in our fans, to strive for more, become the best versions of themselves they can possibly be, and have the best time doing it. Conquering victim mentality, championing independent thought and courage... these are the pillars of the Autumn Kings experience, and we are excited to work hand-in-hand with Hopeless Records to bring this to the world."

The aforementioned "Sleep When I'm Dead" and "HELLBOUND" are out now.

Both tracks have garnered airplay on SiriusXM's Octane, among others.

But that's not all.

Autumn Kings have had their music played on Football Night In America; at Detroit Red Wings games; in Major League Baseball stadiums; and on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.  They spent the summer of 2023 touring Pacific and Japanese military bases and have opened for Bush, Dorothy, Tea Party, X Ambassadors, and Mutemath.

Autumn Kings Drop Video for New Single "Hellhound"

Pop-rock band AUTUMN KINGS have dropped the video for their latest single "HELLBOUND," as heard on SiriusXM's Octane.

Watch the video, directed by Henry Nadasdi, Below.

"'HELLBOUND' speaks to the story of an individual who is fighting their demons, and digging to discover the root cause of the psychological bleeding they are experiencing," says the band's Jake Diablo about the track. "After digging long and hard, they realize that the solution is right in front of them. Wake up, cut out the 'victim' mentality, and utilize the gift of choice that we each possess to do what is necessary to improve our lives."

The band's prior single "Sleep When I'm Dead" clocked over 1.2 million streams on Spotify and has been top 20 on Octane since February 1, amassing over 500 spins during that period and reached No. 37 on the Mediabase Active Rock chart, including official adds at WRIF/Detroit, Music Choice, WIIL/Chicago, WHXR/Portland, and many more.

Last fall, the band dropped their video for "Go For Gold." Watch it here.  It's a super catchy jam that will live rent-free in your brain. The accompanying visual strings together performance footage and tells the band's story. It's like a digital bio set to music.

Stay tuned for more from Autumn Kings.

Australia's The Beautiful Monument Are "Hellbound" With Video + Single

Australia's beloved alt-rockers The Beautiful Monument, known for their raw and vulnerable lyrics, return with the brand new single and video for "Hellbound" via Greyscale Records.

Watch the video below.

The single, produced by Callan Orr, is the first taste of music since the band's 2019 release I'm The Reaper.

"This track is about perseverance through self doubt," says the band's Lizi Blanco. "One of the most personal cases for me was writing music after being harshly criticized about my writing style and strongly believing that nothing I brought to the table ever did the instruments justice. That doubt started spreading to some people close to me too. But it's so much more than just music, it was everything in life my job, relationships, business ventures, e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g. I hadn't felt this defeated in such a long time — it's like a disease. No matter how much you try to convince yourself otherwise, you just keep pushing forward, even when others around you also doubt your ability."

She adds, "I did a tarot spread asking my cards for guidance about what I need to write about and get off of my chest. I used Macabre Tarot by Samantha West and you can see the three cards I had pulled in the music video, they're also described in the chorus of the song. Since the last release, we've all changed so much — especially with a pandemic happening just as we were starting to get some momentum happening again. It's a new style and a perfect blend of us as individuals and as a collective. TBM has grown so much over the years and it's just going to keep getting weirder and weirder."

The accompanying music video was directed by Neck Up Collective and shot in CGI.

Blanco shares, "The video is of a person who believes that they are of a higher stature may have an opinion that differs from yours; but it does not give them the authority to tear you down — malicious words spread like a plague. What goes around comes around."

The Beautiful Monument released I'm the Reaper in 2019, showcasing their genre-defying rock aesthetics alongside stylistic innovation. They hook into emotions and fears felt by everyone in the room and offer fans a moment of catharsis and reflection without being alone. It's OK not to be OK — a theme that The Beautiful Monument has carried through their debut and sophomore albums and that seems more poignant now than ever before.

CVLT OV THE SVN Unleashes "Hellbound" Video from Upcoming Album We Are The Dragon

Watch the New Lyric Video For "Hellbound"

We Are The Dragon out May 7, 2021 via Napalm Records | Pre-Order HERE

As it often seems modern rock music has lost its sense of palpable danger and mystique, Finnish dark occult rock act CVLT OV THE SVN marks its return in full force with their grim, addictive first full length, We Are The Dragon.

Slated for release on May 7, 2021 via Napalm Records, CVLT OV THE SVN’s debut embodies a reverberating sense of eeriness, danger and fear, enriched with a pinch of gothic romanticism and pitch-black seduction. Finally, there’s a cvlt worth joining: CVLT OV THE SVN’s sound feels dangerously unsettling, lacing its churning heaviness with catchy melodies that travel right through your ears to your central nervous system!

With the unveiling of previously-released goth-boppers like “Twilight”, “The Pit”, “Whore Of Babylon”, “Luna In The Sky Forever” and just recently, “My Venom”, CVLT OV THE SVN have already proven how to successfully merge seething heaviness and sweet pop melodies. Now, the mysterious visionary behind the cvlt, who actually started out as a black metal drummer, has unleashed a brand new lyric video for the heavy dark rock anthem “Hellbound”, setting free his casket full of morbid horror theatrics!

This occult new wave and rock n’ roll symbiosis draws you right in with an unforgettable hook that’ll seep its way right into your brain in no time – like an invitation through the gates of hell to party with the devil himself!

The anonymous visionary behind CVLT OV THE SVN says:

“Every one of us faces periods in life when all seems to be lost. My response to those kind of situations is to put the pedal to the floor and dive deep into the dark corners of my psyche.”

Inspired by movies like The Exorcist and the all devouring darkness itself, CVLT OV THE SVN draws inspiration not only from the heavy rock genre and greats like Type O Negative and Turbonegro, but the nostalgic influences of mainstream artists like Roxetteas well. Conceptually conveying a variety of extreme emotions, each of the album’s twelve enthralling tracks cut through the noise of society like a razorblade, leaving a long-lasting impression on the listener that’ll have them clamoring for more.

In addition to the macabre thrills of their music, there’s the character he takes on stage, twisting the dagger of perception even further like your favorite horror flick and making for a combined experience that cuts deep and close to the bone.

CVLT OV THE SVN's innovative persona continues:

“It’s easier to tell those grim stories through another identity, another character. Black cloaks just go with it, obviously. I’m a big fan of suspense and this kind of content is all about the surprises. I find it is an intriguing realm to explore. Whatever lies ahead, CVLT OV THE SVN will adapt and thrive.”

Pre-Order We Are The Dragon HERE

CVLT OV THE SVN’s We Are The Dragon will be out on May 7, 2021 through Napalm Records and available as CD and Digital formats. The album pre-sale just went up at THIS LOCATION!
