Indie Pop-Rock Artist, Harley Luck, Releases "Stay"

Emerging indie pop-rock artist, Harley Luck, has re-released his debut single, "Stay," under his new moniker. The re-mastered track was originally penned in Harley's bedroom during April of 2020, and carries the emotional weight of those early days of the pandemic. As the world grappled with isolation and uncertainty, Harley turned to music as a means of expression. This song, one of his earliest works, emerged as a testament to his songwriting and production skills.

"Stay" paints a vivid picture of the struggle to hold on to someone when the world was forcing everyone apart. The onset of the pandemic forced Harley to confront the reality of distancing from friends, connections, and a fleeting crush. Those two weeks of infatuation, coinciding with the pandemic's emergence, served as the song's primary inspiration. Harley describes "Stay" as a song that may seem like a heartfelt love ballad written by a 17-year-old, but it holds profound personal significance as a benchmark of his growth as an artist. He emphasizes his commitment to embracing change and personal evolution through his music, stating, "My songs are a method to verbalize the emotions that are difficult to express so that I can move past them and continue to grow."

Musically, "Stay" incorporates a diverse array of instruments, prominently featuring guitars, drums, and brass instruments. The infectious instrumental arrangement mirrors Harley Luck's taste in indie pop rock music, with influences drawn from Harry Styles's album "Fine Line." While Harley took on the role of sole lyricist for"Stay," he enlisted help for the instrumentation, incorporating loops from Splice while playing most of the guitar parts himself. “Something about this song that only I relate it with is Hawaii.” Harley expands “I had just gone to visit three days before lockdown started, so most of my songwriting had undertones of my experiences there. This song is super bright and energetic, and to this day I still think of Hawaii. I think having such a happy place in my recent memory during the initial period of quarantine helped me cope with everything going on, so Hawaii is always going to be special for me.”

The re-release of "Stay" marks an exciting chapter in Harley Luck's musical journey, as he unveils his work under his new moniker. Harley Luck, a name chosen for its enigmatic and gender-neutral quality, reflects Harley's commitment to embracing his unique identity.

Coyote Eyes Releases Captivating Anthem “Fires Burning in the Sky”

Coyote Eyes, the musical project led by singer-songwriter, Jo Eubanks, has released her latest single, "Fires Burning in the Sky," today. This powerful track encapsulates themes of resilience, triumph over adversity, and the indomitable spirit of pursuing one's dreams. "Fires Burning in the Sky" is an anthem of strength, echoing the sentiment of rising from the ashes and defying the odds. It's a testament to the power of determination and the unshakable will to overcome the impossible. The song celebrates that pivotal moment when every

challenge transforms into fuel for success, and doubters are proven wrong. Coyote Eyes explains, "This is a triumph song for everyone who's been told their dreams were unrealistic, that they weren't good enough, or that they'd never make it. It's a reminder that we can emerge victorious against all odds."

The single marks a significant collaboration for Coyote Eyes, as she joined forces with Grammy-winning producer and co-writer Danny Johnson [John Legend]. Coyote Eyes shares, "Working with Danny Johnson was an incredible experience. We knew we wanted to create something dynamic, a driving force that felt like a victory cry. When Danny presented his concept for the track, I was instantly hooked. We aimed to evoke a sense of renewal and vindication while maintaining a grounded narrative. This song is profoundly relatable, and that's what makes it special."

The accompanying visuals for "Fires Burning in the Sky" are a captivating visual journey, shot and directed by the talented Dayne Malan, known for his remarkable artistry. “The visuals are quite dark” Coyote Eyes states. She elaborates “For the entire series of my previous and upcoming releases, we wanted to tell reimagined stories of tragic women: Ophelia (“Gasoline”), Lady Godiva (“Lightning Strikes”), and for this one the story is kind of this ambiguous bride of Patrick Bateman tale. In the visual narrative, we see a woman draped in a wedding gown, trapped beneath plastic—a metaphorical shroud. The imagery evolves as the story unfolds, with smoke seeping beneath the plastic, symbolizing a desperate struggle for survival. It's a powerful depiction of the fight to escape an abusive relationship." "Fires Burning in the Sky" is a masterful blend of powerful lyrics, evocative melodies, and a compelling visual narrative, making it a must-listen and a must-see. Coyote Eyes continues to solidify her place as a force to be reckoned with in the music industry, leaving an indelible mark with her empowering message and artistic prowess.

Coyote Eyes is the dark pop alter ego of New York bred Jo Eubanks, a multidisciplinary artist based in Los Angeles. With a hauntingly captivating musical style characterized by lush soundscapes, ethereal vocals, and eerie piano melodies, Coyote Eyes weaves a spellbinding tapestry that is equally tragic and seductive. Coyote Eyes began training to be a classical singer in early childhood, and by 16 she was already capturing label attention for her distinctive, emotionally charged voice

which held “the pain of a 30 year old woman inside a child’s body.” However, she felt compelled to break free from the constraints of societal expectations, pushing the boundaries of her creative authenticity in a world that demanded conformity. In 2018, she emerged as Coyote Eyes, a powerful and enigmatic persona unafraid to delve into the depths of the human experience. In traditional lore, the coyote is the one creature which cannot be categorized; it is an enigma, a dichotomy, a living riddle. As such, Coyote Eyes emerged from her fascination with duality in all its forms, which she explores both sonically and thematically. She performs regularly in both New York City and LA at Rockwood Music Hall, Mercury Lounge, The McKittrick Hotel, Viper Room, and with Breaking Sound and Hunnypot Live.

Occult-Pop Artist, Coyote Eyes, releases "Gasoline"

The song "Gasoline" explores the disconnect between fantasy and reality in today’s relationships, and especially how that’s been dictated and  exacerbated by social media. The lyrics explore a lot  of opposition - fire and ice, gasoline and kerosine - and chronicle what happens to someone who’s pursued as this fantasy ideal (lady in white lives in your mind) and then ultimately dropped or discarded when she becomes too human (leave me I’m rust, flesh, and bone).  But it’s also a victorious song - Coyote Eyes likes to think that in this story the guy stays stuck in the screen and the woman has her own phoenix rising moment, and you can definitely hear the determination in the lyrics as well. There’s definitely anger and vengeance in there but also determination.

Electro Pop Artist, Producer and Engineer, MaeThePirate Gets Personal on New Album, Xenon

Los Angeles-based electro pop artist, MaeThePirate, has released her new album, Xenon, today. The album is an amalgamation of diverse moods surrounding Mae’s personal experiences. The long-awaited set of songs ties together the many mental journeys Mae went through not

only within a romantic relationship but within herself. Her music delves into the topics of mental illness and social media, and she aims to create a community where people feel comfortable discussing these issues. Her dance-pop sound incorporates her beloved cello in every song, and her uplifting lyrics transform negative aspects of life into positives. Mae's ultimate goal is to build a community where her music serves as a safe haven for those seeking solace and escape.

Focus track “High,” was written by Mae the first weekend in her brand new apartment after she finally set up her music equipment, thinking that everything would be painful but she really was able to exhale for the first time in months, knowing no ones going to come barging through the door angry. MaeThePirate states, “Right after I left my boyfriend, and I left a terrible abusive situation, I wrote this song when I realized that a lot, if not the majority of this pain, was caused by someone else, and now I’m actually free.” Mae recalls that the Lofi sound on this track was influenced by the new room she was in; she had never mixed in that room, and she had never sung in that room. She elaborates, “My roommate was next door so I didn’t really want him to hear me yelling these lyrics, the shyness of being free but also the light energy of the cello and airy sounds have the energy of someone who is a little shy in her excitement, because truly, I was. I thought he was my everything and that we were meant for each other. And now, after escaping, I’m feeling so high.”

MaeThePirate's unique stage name was inspired by her love for video games and her desire to embrace her heritage. Her last name distantly translates to Viking or Pirate, which is why she continues to use this name to this day. Her musical talents extend beyond composing and playing instruments - Mae is also proficient in audio programming and C# programming, skills she has leveraged to create her own music remixing programs and light displays for her live shows. Mae takes her synesthesia and chromesthesia, meaning she sees colors when hearing music, and uses it to her advantage. “I like to create visuals with the synesthesia in mind, and it has influenced my lighting as well. My music is unique because of my lyrics, my cello, and my synesthesia, and it has evolved over time. I used COVID lockdown to focus on my songwriting, which I used to get over an abusive relationship I was in at the time. If it helped me in those moments, I hope someday it can help other people get out of their bad moments.”

Recently making her debut in the GRAMMYS Press Play Series, XTIE is back to celebrate her 3 year music journey where she’s been writing, producing, and performing. APOLLO-23" is an ode to her journey as an artist, a celebration of her creativity and passion, and a testament to her “cosmic pop” sound. APOLLO-23 delves into XTIE's exploration of life, the universe, and the relationship between humanity and nature. Using the Greek myth, APOLLO is the God of Sun and Light, Music and dance, XTIE wishes to take you onboard onto her spaceship and enjoy a journey of self-discovery, self love, and she hopes her songs can be a beam of sunlight into listeners’ life. Despite our lack of understanding about ourselves, we are always curious about the world beyond our planet. In reality, we can board our own spaceship and explore ourselves, our life, our bodies, the world we inhabit, time, and embrace what we already have.

With all 8 tracks written and produced by XTIE, each one was crafted with care and attention to detail. Focus track #5, “#FF,” stands for final fantasy and is an Anthem of Independence for those who need it. XTIE explains “it’s about realizing that your love to yourself is more important than relying on other people's love. I don't need to romanticize this toxic situation, I just need to walk away and celebrate my independence and self love.” “Flower Town” sets the EP’s tone with its dreamy, ethereal sound and lyrics that speak of longing and yearning. “Spaceship” is a catchy, pop-infused tune that's impossible not to sing along to, while “Skin” is a haunting, melancholic ballad that will leave you feeling raw and vulnerable. “Skin” (under the skin ver.) is a bonus track only available by purchasing a physical album. It’s a re-imagined live recording version of XTIE’s new arrangement. Track #6, “麥田看守 員” (Field of Gold), is sang in Cantonese and an ode to XTIE’s hometown of Hong Kong. With lyrics about being thankful for what you already have and not chasing something that isn’t meant for you, XTIE wrote this as a “thank you” to her supporters throughout the years.

Hailing from Hong Kong, XTIE is an independent artist that self-produces, writes, arranges, and performs her own songs. Already having garnered support from Recording

Academy, Earmilk, Wonderland Magazine, Billboard ID, MTV Asia, BBC Radio, NOTION and more. Her singles have charted and peaked at No.1 across radio stations in Hong Kong and Taiwan. XTIE recently played at Ear Up Music Festival 2023 at Macpherson Stadium and a sold-out headline concert in Hong Kong. Making her first overseas appearance in the UK playing at London, Brighton and Wrexham, XTIE was featured at music festivals like FOCUS Wales and The Great Escape in May. MTV Asia praised XTIE stating; "Not only gifted with warm jazz-tinged vocals, she also writes, arranges, produces, and performs her songs that are shimmering." Earmilk raved about her previous release; "XTIE continues to set herself up as a promising talent in the industry with her flair for transportive productions." Apart from her releases as an artist, her production credits include stellar-level acts and TV shows from Hong Kong, including but not limited to: Janice Vidal, Alfred Hui, ViuTV King Maker IV, (a girl group idol competition) etc. XTIE is also currently writing and producing for A-Pop / K-pop markets as well. Aptly describing her music as “cosmic pop”, the Hong Kong producer-singer weaves shimmer yet sophisticated pop beats with candid stories about the universe.

SINGER-SONGWRITER, HUNTER BLAIR AMBROSE RELEASES 1980s SYNTH-POP INSPIRED SINGLE, “RUNAWAY”

LA-based singer, songwriter and instrumentalist, Hunter Blair Ambrose, has released her single “Runaway,” today. Co-written by Hunter, “Runaway” is a dance-pop track written from the perspective of someone letting go of their past traumas and regrets to start anew. The title “Runaway” refers to running away from one’s past, but also running away from the vulnerability that new experiences and love forces us into. Hunter elaborates; “I

recently made a huge change in my life, moving cross country from New York to Los Angeles, and this song is fully inspired by that. Taking a chance on a new chapter, being afraid of all the possibilities of starting your life over. I know that moving across the country meant I’d have a fresh start when it comes to everything, new relationships, new friendships, new work opportunities, a new beginning.”

“Runaway” features an emotive vocal performance with danceable, electric production that echoes a retro 1980s synth pop influence with modern touches. “Runaway” showcases Hunter’s innate ability to craft personal narratives into a synth-pop 1980’s inspired hybrid. She sonically drew inspiration from The Weeknd’s album Dawn FM, but also synth-pop songs with 1980s production influences from artists like Majid Jordan, Zara Larsson, and SG Lewis. “Runaway” has a four on the floor dance beat, with an explosive chorus inspired by melodies and vocal stylings from Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande. Additionally, the single’s lyrics tell the story of someone losing themselves in music as an escape, but also fearing what could happen if they open themselves up to love again.

Hailing from New York, and currently residing in Los Angeles, Hunter Blair Ambrose began to display a profound love for the performing arts from her earliest years, starting at just 5 years old. What started as singing and studying music, turned into formal vocal lessons, piano training and continuing to study music and theater through grade school, high school and college. Hunter’s professional career in pop began at 17 years old under the mentorship of Grammy Award winning producer, Narada Michael Walden. After recording and co-writing her first tracks as a solo artist with Narada from 2013-2014, Hunter attended the Berklee College of Music. While studying there, she met several producers, writers, and engineers, eventually forming a core team to create her first studio EP and album Scorpio Rising (2020) and Scorpio Season (2021). The lead single, “November” went on to become a viral hit and featured an interpolated sample of Lady Gaga’s 2010 hit “Alejandro.” Inspired by the likes of Charli XCX, Dua Lipa, Lady Gaga, The Weeknd, Ariana Grande, Rosalia, Rihanna; Hunter relates to artists who put an effort into stylized content that correlates with their art. Blending illustrious production with often visceral lyrics to bring her audience into her artistic universe; Hunter is known for her powerful vocals, vast range, and provocative visuals to her artistry. “As I’ve moved through my life, I have amassed various life experiences and have gained many new artistic influences which all come together to affect my songwriting and style of music I create. As I’ve evolved as a human being, so has my art. With every release, I reflect where I am at any present moment in time through my music.” - Hunter Blair Ambrose

MUSIC PRODUCER & SONGWRITER, ROWA RELEASES “DARK NIGHTS” FEATURING SHAMON CASSETTE

Singer-songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist ROWA, has teamed up with Shamon Cassette for the release of “Dark Nights,” out now. “Dark Nights” is an ode to the phenomenon of European club culture and the characters and stories within it. Los Angeles based artists ROWA and Shamon Cassette have both participated deeply in the Techno and Acid House scenes of places like Berlin and London, inspiring this house track with a modern contemporary spin. Influenced by ROWA’s personal experiences in the Berlin Club

Scene, the song depicts the night out of a club goer who loses their inhibitions and experiments with illicit substances in the surreal landscape of clubs like About Blank or Berghain.

Overall, “Dark Nights” exemplifies the archetype of what ROWA believes to be the “Berlin Club Girl” ~ a mysterious person clad in all black who never wants to leave the party, endlessly searching for the next dragon to chase. The melodic synth line creates a repetitive lead which highlights the undeniably catchy hook “She Allergic to the daylight, Dark Night Living.” A four on the floor drum beat creates a steady base for this catchy house tune similar to the likes of artists like Yaeji and Channel Tres.

ROWA and Shamon Cassette met in 2019 at a vintage couture shop in East Hollywood in pre covid Los Angeles. During the tail end of covid lockdown ROWA and Shamon managed to record “Dark Nights” at Materia Studio (owned by Gabriel Skott-Eagle Rock, LA) by engineer and friend Henry Glover.

Shamon Cassette
(@shamoncassette) has an extensive history in music, most recently best known for his “Psychedelic Hockey Rap”. Originally from the Kanagawa section of Japan, Shamon’s diverse history shows thoroughly in his unique and boundary breaking aesthetic. An experienced MC, Shamon frequents a unique touring route between Ireland, London and South Africa. Shamon Cassette has an exciting and long awaited return to Europe this summer with Hip House project BonVoyage (@bonvoyageworldwide).

Born and raised in Milwaukee, WI, ROWA picked up her life and immediately left after graduating high school. Always marching to the beat of her own drum, she then traveled nomadically for years playing mandolin and guitar in several bands across the U.S., Canada and Mexico. However, ROWA’s voracious appetite to create wasn’t fulfilled, and she eventually settled in New Orleans and later Los Angeles to pursue her music career. While the world stayed dormant during a time of isolation, ROWA sat in her studio in Los Angeles learning to produce music. What has since ensued is a unique blend of sonic and visual work; her genre-defying sound has gained her cult recognition amongst the Los Angeles underground, with multiple event residencies under her belt at reputable venues. ROWA’s interactive performances, eclectic DJ sets and knack for curation are known to pull a crowd on a mere Tuesday night. The audience steps into the ROWAVERSE for an immersive escape from the drags of city living, ROWA unfurls her sonic performances in pop star format accompanied by her magical web of highly skilled dancer friends. ROWA is dedicated to pursuing an independent career in music as a female producer and hopes her efforts will inspire other young women to pursue their own technical skills in music. ROWA has cultivated an environment for Los Angeles creatives and young professionals to link up and network with their local community, and can be expected to host more events in 2023.
