GATECREEPER - ANNOUNCE THEIR FALL NORTH AMERICAN TOUR WITH FROZEN SOUL & WORM!

Arizona death metal specialists GATECREEPER have announced they will be hitting the road this Fall! The 26-date trek across North America will kick off on September 17th in Tampa and will make stops in Baltimore, Toronto, and Minneapolis before concluding in Albuquerque on October 15th. Joining the band each night are cold school death metallers FROZEN SOUL and necromantic black doom band WORM.

GATECREEPER will be touring in support of their sprawling third full-length album and label debut for Nuclear Blast, Dark Superstition. The album moves swiftly from one brutal soundscape to the next, each sonic structure evoking its own emotion and landscape. To help perfect their game this round, GATECREEPER joined forces with drummer/songwriter Fred Estby, of Swedish death metal titans DISMEMBER, whose influences can be heard throughout the album. Dark Superstition sees the band carving out their own path.

Chase H. Mason states, "When planning our tours for this year, we tried to put together the strongest line-ups possible to showcase some of the best new bands in modern metal."

ABOUT GATECREEPER

Formed in 2013, GATECREEPER have spent the last decade steadily climbing the death metal ladder. Their self-titled 2014 EP established instant credibility as purveyors of the old-school form. The band signed with Relapse, releasing their highly acclaimed full-length debut Sonoran Depravation (2016), followed by Deserted (2019). Dark Superstition deals with the supernatural, divination, fear of the unknown, and trust in magic or chance. The album shapeshifts from one brutal soundscape to the next as each sonic structure rouses its own emotion and landscape.
 
“Many of the songs incorporate supernatural ideas with my own experiences,” Mason says. “But the title itself is a reference to the Superstition Mountains in our home state of Arizona. It’s a beautiful mountain range surrounded by tragedy and legends of hidden fortune.”

GATECREEPER - Release Music Video For Infectious New Single, 'Caught In The Treads'

Arizona death metal specialists make their triumphant return with their first new track since 2021’s An Unexpected Reality. 'Caught in the Treads' is heavily rooted in the high-powered energy that fuels the contagious atmosphere that they have encountered in their recent global live endeavors. The single, produced and mixed by Kurt Ballou of CONVERGE fame, features infectious guitar melodies and drum passages that audiences will cling to with their refined attitude as the purveyors of the new wave of American death metal.

Chase H. Mason states, "Lyrically the song is about a supernaturally charged fleet of tanks that have been possessed by the souls of fallen soldiers. It's about revenge and crushing your enemies." Expanding on the music video he mentions, "As soon as we finished recording, we started sneaking this song into our live set. We brought along our own VHS camera and had our friends film the shows where they could."

IN FLAMES ANNOUNCE SPRING 2024 US TOUR

Sweden's iconic masters of metal IN FLAMES are set to infiltrate the US for a spring headlining US tour with special guests GATECREEPER and CREEPING DEATH. The skull crushing lineup will kick off the excursion on May 1st in Portland, ME and will wrap it up on May 26th in Dallas, TX. 

Commenting on the tour, vocalist Anders Fridén says:
