Fit for a King Announce New Album "Lonely God" + Share Video for Title Track

FIT FOR A KING  — Ryan Kirby, vocals; Bobby Lynge, guitar; Daniel Gailey, guitar; Trey Celaya, drums; and Ryan "Tuck" O'Leary — bass/vocals — are thrilled to announce their new album and eighth overall, titled Lonely God. It was recorded in Los Angeles with producer Daniel Braunstein [Spiritbox].

Lonely God will arrive on August 1 via Solid State Records. Pre-order it here

The band, which just wrapped up a sold-out North American tour with Killswitch Engage, Kublai Khan TX, and Frozen Soul, are dropping the video for the title track today, as well. Watch it below

It boasts ALL the sonic hallmarks FFAK fans have come to know and love — gnarly riffs, guttural growls, deep grooves, and a slightly industrial crunch that takes things to the next level, every single time.

"In general, 'Lonely God' relates to the pursuit of power," shares Kirby about the track. "They're trading companionship, relationships, and love for power and money. You may have all of the power and be a 'God,' but it's a lonely spot because the world despises you."

Further expanding on the album itself, Kirby shares, "Lonely God is the result of us writing with no agendas. We didn't care about which song could be viral, or if we needed radio tracks, etc. We just wrote what we wanted, for the first time, in a really long time."

He finishes, "All five of us have our fingerprints on this album. We found a way to balance our voices. We've always been genuine with the lyrics, and that's the case again. There’s so much heart behind all of the instrumentation too. There’s definitely a lot of growth because our bond is tighter than ever."

Fit For A King harness the power of their brotherhood in order to push forward. The music contains traces of the members' personal and collective experiences grafted onto an ever-evolving sonic palette of metalcore unpredictability, alternative melody, and deathcore brutality laced with electronic alchemy. As trends came and went in the background of the last decade, the quintet has weathered trials and tribulations as well as enduring the chaos of a world constantly influx. However, their bond stretches back to 2011 when Fit For A King unleashed their independent debut Descendants. They continually progressed with Creation/Destruction [2013], Slave to Nothing [2014], Deathgrip [2016], and The Path [2020]. Meanwhile, 2022's The Hell We Create marked their fifth Top 3 debut on the Billboard Top Christian Albums Chart and third straight Top 15 debut on the Top Album Sales Chart. Outburn applauded how, "With The Hell We Create, Fit For A King takes on a new depth," and KERRANG! assured, "It hits hard in all the right places." They've impressively garnered just shy of half-a-billion streams fueled by staples like "When Everything  Means Nothing," "The Price of Agony," "Breaking the Mirror," and more. Along the way, they also collaborated with the likes of August Burns Red, The Plot In You, The Ghost Inside, and We Came As Romans in addition to packing houses on tour. In 2025, you can hear their strength and camaraderie loud and clear on their eighth full-length offering, Lonely God [Solid State Records].

Fit For A King Share Video for New Single "No Tomorrow"

It opens slowly and from there on out, it's all gas, no brakes. The track quickly escalates into the moshy ragers that FFAK are known for, to the delight of their legion of fans, who will also love the sticks-in-your-brain, melodic chorus.

"This song is about love and tragedy," says singer Ryan Kirby. "A couple [is] experiencing the end of the world together. But instead of living through it in fear, they choose to enjoy their last moments enjoying each other and celebrating what they had."

"No Tomorrow" follows last year's "TECHNIUM," which featured The Plot In You vocalist Landon Tewers. Watch the video for that track below.

The band just wrapped up a sold-out North American tour with Killswitch Engage, Kublai Khan TX, and Frozen Soul.

More music and more touring is on deck for FFAK this year, with news about both coming soon. However, fans can catch the band at Welcome to Rockville in Florida and Sonic Temple in Ohio in May.

ABOUT HALESTORM:
Having amassed over 2.5 Billion streams globally, the Grammy-Award winning band Halestorm has grown from a childhood dream of siblings Lzzy and Arejay Hale into one of the most celebrated rock bands of the last two decades.  Most recently, the band released Back From The Dead, their fifth full-length studio album which has tallied over 100 Million streams worldwide. Rolling Stonecalled the title track "a biting but cathartic howler about overcoming all obstacles,” and that song as well, as "The Steeple," marked their fifth and sixth number ones at rock radio, respectively. Associated Press said the album "will definitely be in the running for best hard rock/metal album of the year." Their previous album, Vicious, earned the band their second Grammy nomination, for Best Hard Rock Performance for the song "Uncomfortable," the band's fourth #1 at rock radio, and led Loudwire to name Halestorm "Rock Artist of the Decade" in 2019.  Fronted by the incomparable Lzzy Hale with drummer Arejay Hale, guitarist Joe Hottinger, and bass player Josh Smith, Halestorm's music has earned multiple Platinum and Gold Certifications from the RIAA, and the band has earned a reputation as a powerful live music force, headlining sold-out shows and topping festival bills around the world, and sharing the stage with icons including Heaven & Hell, Alice Cooper, Joan Jett, and Judas Priest. Additionally, Lzzy was named the first female brand ambassador for Gibson and served as host of AXS TV's "A Year in Music."

ABOUT I PREVAIL:
I Prevail have established themselves as the forerunners of the genre in the 21st century. Their latest release TRUE POWER, once again produced by Tyler Smyth, features the sort of stadium-sized riffs that will rattle your teeth loose from your gums and unforgettable, supremely catchy melodies that will camp out in your brain for weeks at a time. The band also alternately mixes screamed vocals that sound as though they crawled from the depths of hell with soaring, emotional vocals and heartfelt, intimate lyrics that go so deep, they hit marrow. The end result is an album that resonates with the listener in the most personal way. Rising to an arena level and receiving two Grammy nominations — Best Rock Album for Trauma and Best Metal Performance for crushing lead single "Bow Down" — I Prevail proved that they were built to last. To date, they've racked up more than 4.1 billion global streams, are approaching 716 million YouTube views, and saw both "Hurricane" and "Bad Things" singles top Billboard's Mainstream Rock Airplay chart in 2020 and 2022 respectively. A number of their singles and album Lifelines have now been certified Gold and Platinum, and they have been praised by press far and wide, including Forbes, Billboard, The Hollywood Reporter, and NPR. I Prevail have affirmed their position among the genre's elite.

ABOUT HOLLYWOOD UNDEAD:
Formed in 2005, Hollywood Undead inched towards mainstream dominance under the radar with unprecedented success for a modern band. Preceding the current playlist-hopping genre-less boom, they defied stylistic boundaries from day one integrating rap, rock, and electronic. The band will be heading back out on the road in the Fall of 2023 with hip hop legend Tech N9ne co-head lining the HOLLYWOOD & N9NE Tour in support of their 8th studio album, Hotel Kalifornia.

ABOUT FIT FOR A KING:
Fit For A King's musical style is rooted in metal and hardcore and uplifted by hypnotic hooks. Following the breakout LP Creation/Destruction [2013], they earned four consecutive Top 5 debuts on the Top Hard Rock Albums Chart with Slave to Nothing [2014], Deathgrip [2016], Dark Skies [2018], and The Path [2020]. The latter marked their first Top 10 on the Billboard Top Album Sales Chart. Plus, the band collaborated with fellow heavy-hitters such as August Burns Red and We Came As Romans. They've generated nearly 435 million streams over the course of their career, have toured with Pierce the Veil, I Prevail, The Devil Wears Prada, Motionless in White, and many more. Their latest The Hell We Create is out now via Solid State Records.

Fit For A King Share Video for New Song "Keeping Secrets"

FIT FOR A KING have shared the video for the brand new single "Keeping Secrets." Watch it below

The track is the perfect storm of FFAK old and new, as it finds the band taking some creative risks where explosive breakdowns collide with furious screams and heightened melodic vocals. The lyrics also explore a deeply personal subject for the band.

"'Keeping Secrets' is a song that not only showcases some new elements for the band," says singer Ryan Kirby. "It goes back to some of the more popular elements of our older work. The song's theme of questioning if people can truly love you, if you don't open up and let them know the real you, is something my adopted daughter has struggled with greatly, and is the inspiration for the song."

"Keeping Secrets" lands as the band prepares to head back out on road for the Winter 2024 leg of the Metalcore Dropouts Tour with labelmates The Devil Wears Prada. The Metalcore Dropouts 2nd Semester Tour finds Counterparts returning as support, along with Avoid as openers.  Leg 2 kicks off on January 16 in Kansas City and runs through February 24 in Minneapolis.
