Archetypes Collide Drop Lyric Video for New Single "The Problem"

Arizona rock band ARCHETYPES COLLIDE — Kyle Pastor (vocals), Brandon Baker and Jared Knister (guitars), Ky Sanders (bass), and Tyler Flamm(drums) — quickly established themselves as a band unafraid to blur the lines between safety and innovation in heavy music. In their songs, soaring vocals, melodies, and heavy grooves swirl with passion and precision. They closed out 2024 by releasing the single "Hollow High." Watch the visualizer here.

They have released the lyric video for the new single "The Problem."

Watch it Below.

On "The Problem," the band has cranked the knobs as far as they can go It's powered by a gnarly riff that comes roaring from the '00s heavy music heyday. But while the song takes inspo from that era, this ain't no retro banger. Archetypes Collide have crafted a contemporary hard rock anthem with furious screams, layered and emotive vocal melodies, and killer, head-nodding choruses. "The Problem" is the logical next step for Archetypes Collide, who are poised to cut their own path in this genre.

"Setting boundaries, putting up walls, cutting off relationships," says Pastor. "It's an unfortunate reality we all have to deal with. But all too often people abuse these habits in the name of 'protecting their peace,' instead of taking responsibility for their actions. I wrote 'The Problem' after having to deal with this head on."

Archetypes Collide are touring the U.S. this spring in support of Fame on Fire and Haloescene. All dates are below.

ABOUT ARCHETYPES COLLIDE:
ARCHETYPES COLLIDE demand repeated listening, mixing everything from Linkin Park and Bring Me The Horizon to The Chainsmokers, and Stranger Things-style retro synths, into a unique musical identity. A collection of singles and EPs drew a devoted fanbase and the attention of Oshie Bichar, bassist for Beartooth. Bichar enlisted his management, and the pair took Archetypes Collide under their wing. Soon after, SiriusXM's Octane got behind songs like "Your Misery," "Becoming What I Hate," and "Above It All." The band appeared on major festivals like Aftershock, Louder Than Life, and Welcome To Rockville, toured with genre giants The Amity Affliction, and crafted an ambitious self-titled debut album for Fearless Records. Archetypes Collide spent several weeks in the first part of 2022 making their inaugural full-length, with a super team surrounding them to execute their vision. Bichar produced alongside Nick Ingram (Dayseeker, Convictions, Hawthorne Heights) at Capital House Studio in Ohio. Additional production came from Jon Eberhard (Skillet, I Prevail, Until I Wake); The Plot In You frontman Landon Tewers lent a creative hand as well. The resulting album, mixed by Jeff Dunne (Ice Nine Kills, Wage War, Make Them Suffer), captures the vibrant spirit of the 2010s-era Warped Tour with a postmodern edge. It's a diverse but singular mission statement, brimming with authenticity and hope. ARCHETYPES COLLIDE aren't bound by preconceived notions or limitations. As single Kyle Pastor explains simply: "Why not take every shot, in every direction, under the umbrella of hard rock and metal?"

Fame On Fire Share "Suicide (The Lovers)" Video

Fame on Fire — singer Bryan Kuznitz, Blake Saul (guitarist), Paul Spirou(bass), and Alex Roman (drums) — last week announced their new album The Death Card. It arrives September 6 on Hopeless Records. Pre-order it here

Today, the band drops the official video for the new single "Suicide (The Lovers)." Watch the contemplative, story-driven clip, which will take on you a journey through multiple emotions and is bathed in blue tones, here.

The song is essentially about the idea of going all in for love, and it employs all the drama of a classic tragedy. Cinematic keys and hooks live alongside an ominous spoken-word on the bridge: "Dear beloved we are here today in the final resting place to seal their fate."

"It's a Romeo & Juliet-style story," Kuznitz reveals. "The sentiment is 'If I'm going to love you, I'm going to die for it, and I'm okay with that.' With 'The Lovers Card,' you're sacrificing your life to make a relationship work."

Tarot cards might give perspective, soothe the uncertainty of mental health, or simply enable you to make better sense of your life. Fame on Fire use music in much the same way. The Florida quartet process frustrations, fears, and feelings with a malleable musicality, matching emotions to moments of precise hard rock, piano-laden melody, manic electronics, and relatable pop catharsis. After generating over 100 million streams, packing shows, and earning acclaim, the band ponder fate and the future on their third full-length offering, The Death Card [Hopeless Records].

The band initially materialized out of South Florida with a distinct and dynamic vision. Following a series of inventive and innovative viral covers, they served up the original Transitions EP in 2017. They maintained their momentum with 2020's LEVELS. "Her Eyes" gathered over 15.5 million Spotify streams followed by "HEADSPACE" [feat. POORSTACY] with 13.1 million Spotify streams. Welcome to the Chaos saw them ascend yet again fueled by the likes of "Plastic Heart" and "Welcome to the Chaos" [feat. Spencer Charnas of Ice Nine Kills]. The latter vaulted into the Top 15 at Rock Radio. The band also toured alongside Falling In Reverse, Ice Nine Kills, and ONE OK ROCK. In between selling out headline gigs, the guys decamped to Los Angeles in order to record Death Card with producer Erik Ron [Godsmack, Motionless In White, Panic! At The Disco]. "This was our first time working with a producer," recalls Bryan. "Erik kept us on track, and he pushed me as a lyricist and songwriter to make everything cohesive." Threading this body of work together even tighter, each song corresponds to its own tarot card.

Fame on Fire will return to the road this fall, supporting Wage War. All dates are below.

ABOUT WAGE WAR:
Traveling a constant forward trajectory at lightspeed, Wage War not only push their own sound forward, but they also propel heavy music into new territory. The Florida quintet has always tempered a pummeling metallic onslaught with unshakable melodies. A near-decade grind naturally brought Wage War to this point. They have unleashed a string of fan favorite albums, including Blueprints [2015], Deadweight [2017], Pressure [2019], and Manic [2021]. Beyond looks from SPINModern DrummerAmerican SongwriterRevolverGuitar World, and more, KERRANG! hailed the latter as "their greatest album yet, and DORK raved, "It's an embracing of being metalheads, popheads and just fans of good songs. On more than one occasion, there's an earworm poking its head up through the dirt. They also put up numbers, tallying hundreds of millions of streams boosted by the likes of "Stitch," "Low," "Manic," and "Circle The Drain." On their fifth full-length offering STIGMA [Fearless Records], Wage War outfit their signature style with industrial grit and electronic sheen, leveling up into the future in the process with singles such as "MAGNETIC" and "NAIL5."

FAME ON FIRE — Bryan Kuznitz (vocals), Blake Saul (guitarist), Paul Spirou(bass), and Alex Roman (drums) — roared into 2024 with the new single "Nightmare (The Devil)." This venomous track was just the first taste of what the band has been working on and is currently sitting just outside the Top 20 at Active Rock Radio. It is also having a viral moment over on TikTok, racking up a whopping 50 million streams.

Now, the band has dropped the video for the track. Watch it Below

"We are so happy we were able to bring our vision for 'Nightmare' to life," says Kuznitz. "The whole team absolutely killed it and we love how this video turned out."

ICYMI: The band also shared the video for "Spiral (Justice)" and it's another rager that will rip your head off and hand it back to you. Watch the video here.

More new music from the band is on the way, with additional touring also planned. So stay tuned, and for now, smash the "Subscribe" and "Like" buttons.

The Palm Beach, Florida-based hit-makers are riding high off the massive success of their smash "Welcome To The Chaos," which hit #16 at rock radio. But there's no rest for the wicked and the band is busy crafting new hits to add to their growing discography which boasts over 300 million streams.

Leaving absolutely nothing on the table, Fame On Fire have carved out a lane all their own by pushing the boundaries of the relationship between rock, hip-hop, and heavy music, and by unapologetically being themselves. The band also impressed on tour with industry heavyweights like ONE OK ROCK, Our Last Night, Falling In Reverse, and Ice Nine Kills. The band snagged a coveted spot on SHIPROCKED 2023 and this spring, they hit the road with SIM, playing 1,500 cap rooms. As the band members prepare for a sinister new chapter, they admit it's been a long road and it's due time to step into their power. "I feel like we keep getting more and more honest with every song we release. We are writing the music we want to hear," Kuznitz adds.

For Fame on Fire, the ceiling doesn't exist, but if it did, they'd barrel right through it anyhow.

The song encourages the listener to take a long, hard look inward.

"Sometimes when you are living your dreams and doing what you love, it can quickly turn into a nightmare you can't wake up from. You sense this feeling of being trapped and not being able to find your way out," shares Kuznitz about the track's deeper meaning.

He continues, "The past two years, we pushed ourselves so hard from touring constantly and meeting people that made us feel like kings, all while trying to keep ourselves grounded in what actually mattered the most. I was seduced by a world of attention and I felt like I was losing my sense of identity. I was riding a high but I wasn't myself anymore. I don't know who I was and still don't. The dream that I always wanted became a nightmare. The sickest part of it is I accepted it."

The singer finishes, "The interesting thing is this was the first song we wrote with Erik Ron. He was really able to pull some crazy hard truths out of me when it came to lyrics. He is amazing at everything, but this song is why we chose him to produce our upcoming album."
