CRADLE OF FILTH Reveal Music Video for New Album Track "Demagoguery" + UK/EU Tour Begins This Week!

Following the release of their brand new 14th studio album The Screaming Of The Valkyries (Napalm Records) — which made stellar debuts at #2 on both the US and Canadian Hard Music Albums charts, #4 on the US Current Rock Albums chart, and more — GRAMMY Award-nominated extreme metal institution CRADLE OF FILTH have unveiled another surprise! A brand new music video for driving album track "Demagoguery" is out now, providing an eerily disturbing backdrop to the song, which blends dark beauty, blast beats, and slaytanic groove as only Cradle can combine.

The video comes just in time for the band to kick off their UK/European headline tour, featuring support from labelmates Nervosa, later this week! See below for a full listing of current tour dates.

"Demagoguery" music video director Shaun Hodson says about the video's concept: "Subject Eleven, a marionette puppet, is controlled by the media, government, and television, her every move dictated by their unseen strings. As a charismatic world leader rises, cloaked in promises of peace, the truth behind her manipulation becomes clear: she is part of a dark orchestration guiding the world toward the rise of the Antichrist."

Watch the music video for "Demagoguery" below:

On The Screaming Of The Valkyries, Dani Filth's recognizable scream and equally identifiable growl stand mightily alongside twin guitar attacks, symphonic flourishes, and explosive rhythm section, implemented by drummer Martin "Marthus" Skaroupka, bassist Daniel Firth, guitarists Marek "Ashok" Smerda and Donny Burbage, and keyboardist/vocalist Zoe Federoff.

Produced, recorded, mixed and mastered by Scott Atkins at Grindstone Studios in Suffolk, England, The Screaming of the Valkyries beckons the brave into a new era of CRADLE OF FILTH misadventure, celebrating massive melancholic melody, blackened thrash, and apocalyptic existential dread with a grinning smattering of unbridled revelry. The Screaming of the Valkyries is a bloody dark love letter to the longtime legion of CRADLE OF FILTH faithful and a stunning entryway for fresh lambs to the sonic slaughter.

Menacing album opener "To Live Deliciously" hits immediately with rhythmic urgency, built around a Libertine lyrical hook that twists and writhes with aggression, atmosphere, and melody. Across the album’s blunt and unforgiving yet inviting expanse, Cradle summons the succulent flavors of classic albums like Dusk And Her Embrace and Cruelty And The Beast with the galloping (but no less fierce) thunder of recent entries Hammer Of The Witches and Existence Is Futile. Flashes of early metal influences coalesce with carnivorous glee into unapologetic death ‘n’ roll. Anchored by arguably the most mournful melody in their catalog, "Non Omnis Moriar" ("I shall not wholly die") could be a cousin to Paradise Lost or Anathema, inverted through Cradle’s thorny prism. "You Are My Nautilus" is the darkest song Iron Maiden never wrote, spinning an epic tale with dueling guitars, while "Ex Sanguine Draculae" conjures Dusk-era atmosphere with imaginative new colors.

CRADLE OF FILTH Drop Devilish Third Single "White Hellebore" + New Music Video

Following their acclaimed recent single, "To Live Deliciously," and its exquisitely twisted music video, GRAMMY Award-nominated extreme metal institution CRADLE OF FILTH are back to give fans more of the sinful sounds they crave with "White Hellebore," another bewitching new single and music video.

Featured on the band's highly-anticipated upcoming 14th studio album, The Screaming Of The Valkyries (March 21, 2025 via Napalm Records), "White Hellebore" is devilishly direct, juxtaposing traditional heavy metal with blasts of thrashing fury, then spinning back to operatic goth while remaining cohesive. The track's must-see new music video was directed by Shaun Hodson.

CRADLE OF FILTH mastermind Dani Filth says about the song and video:

"The wintertime flower of the title reminds us scintillatingly of our own mortality, flourishing in seasons of dying light and cold, frozen earth.

Blossoming in the shadows, this Hellebore’s flowers draw us deeply into the stygian darkness with her.

In context of this song, the White Hellebore of the title is an alluring woman not too distant in danger from the predatory black widow, fostering both hope and despair.

A poison and an elixir, she is stunning to behold but ever deadly to taste.

This video — reeking of Lovecraftian gothic horror — presents the White Hellebore as a movie starlet who survives the grave through her dalliances with dark occult forces, a necromantic mystic tryst that an overzealous morgue attendant encounters with terrifying results, complimenting the song's unholy matrimony of melody and mayhem."

Following the release of 2021's Existence Is Futile (#20 Billboard 200 with Hard Rock Genre), CRADLE OF FILTH emerge again with a legacy-cementing opus. Menacing album opener "To Live Deliciously" hits immediately, second track "Demagoguery" blends dark beauty, blast beats and slaytanic groove as only Cradle can combine. Across the album's blunt and unforgiving yet inviting expanse, Cradle summons the succulent flavors of classic albums like Dusk And Her Embrace and Cruelty And The Beast with the galloping (but no less fierce) thunder of recent entries Hammer Of The Witches and Existence Is Futile. Flashes of early metal influences coalesce with carnivorous glee into unapologetic death 'n' roll. "White Hellebore" is CRADLE OF FILTH at its most devilishly straightforward, juxtaposing traditional heavy metal with blasts of thrashing fury, spinning back to operatic goth without sounding disjointed. Anchored by arguably the most mournful melody in their catalog, "Non Omnis Moriar" ("I shall not wholly die") could be a cousin to Paradise Lost or Anathema, inverted through Cradle's thorny prism. "You Are My Nautilus" is the darkest song Iron Maiden never wrote, spinning an epic tale with dueling guitars, while "Ex Sanguine Draculae" conjures Dusk-era atmosphere with imaginative new colors.

Extreme Metal Icons CRADLE OF FILTH Announce New Album "The Screaming Of The Valkyries" + Reveal New Single

GRAMMY Award-nominated extreme metal institution CRADLE OF FILTH is thrilled to unveil their upcoming 14th studio album, The Screaming Of The Valkyries, out March 21, 2025 via Napalm Records. Available for pre-order now, the album excels as a succinct summation of the ghosts of Cradle's past, while taking bold new steps into the future.

CRADLE OF FILTH reigns supreme as one of the most revered, formative and notorious names in music – from the depths of the extreme metal underground to the peaks of mainstream pop culture itself, and are responsible for breaking ground for many of today's top metal artists with their trademark mixture of blackened heaviness, macabre theatricality, and scintillating gothic style. Now, following the release of 2021's Existence Is Futile (#20 Billboard 200 with Hard Rock Genre), iconic frontman Dani Filth & Co. emerge again with a legacy-cementing opus.

Entrance yourself with a brand new CRADLE OF FILTH anthem for a new era – "To Live Deliciously" – out today. The track hits with rhythmic, menacing urgency built around a Libertine lyrical hook that twists and writhes with aggression, atmosphere and melody.

CRADLE OF FILTH master of ceremonies Dani Filth says about the new track:

"The song is about the celebration of life. Of indulging in everything unfettered from the conformities of religion, fashion or state. Free from guilt or constraint. As nature intended.

It could be read as a hedonistic life code. And a positive one if not done at the expense or the suffering of others.

To delight in simply 'being.' Being alive and free in the here and now."

CRADLE OF FILTH:

Positioned firmly at the top of the extreme metal genre, CRADLE OF FILTH reign supreme as one of the most revered, formative and notorious names in the scene, and are undeniably responsible for breaking ground for many of today’s top metal artists with their trademark mixture of grim blackened heaviness, macabre theatricality and scintillating gothic style.

On April 28, 2023, CRADLE OF FILTH dropped their first live album to be released in 20 years, entitled 'Trouble And Their Double Lives'. Recorded between 2014 and 2019 at different performances in the U.S., Europe, Australia and beyond during their “Cryptoriana World Tour” and dates following, 'Trouble And Their Double Lives' serves as a time-capsule of blisteringly intense live energy, and an astounding testament to CRADLE OF FILTH’s renowned latest era. The brand new live onslaught also featured two entirely brand new songs, entitled “She is a Fire” and “Demon Prince Regent”, and debuted at #9 on the US Current Hard Music Albums chart.

DEVILDRIVER:

Respected standard bearers for 21st century metal, iconic groove metal leaders DEVILDRIVER have spent the last two decades pursuing a course of uncompromising artistry and nonsense-free dedication to the road. Led by the prolific Dez Fafara, the Californian crew have earned their reputation as one of the hardest working bands on the planet, while issuing a steady succession of brutal but distinctive albums along the way. As the world was upended in 2020, DEVILDRIVER didn’t pause, releasing the acclaimed first installment of their two-part 'Dealing With Demons' saga, 'Dealing With Demons I'. On May 12, 2023, the band followed-up with the highly-anticipated 'Dealing With Demons Vol. II', which deftly debuted at #7 on the Current Hard Music Album chart.

In reference to their performance on the album, Metal Hammer UK claimed DEVILDRIVER reached "the peak of their powers", while Knotfest stated that the album "asserts their unwavering commitment to quality songwriting and creative catharsis". If there is any question as to whether DEVILDRIVER is slowing down any time soon, 'Dealing With Demons Vol. II' proves that 20 years into their career, even with their demons in tow – they move forward at the forefront of metal.

CRADLE OF FILTH - Release New Video "How Many Tears To Norture A Rose"

Demonic outfit CRADLE OF FILTH is proud to release an extraordinary new video, accompanying their magnificently mournful track "How Many Tears To Nurture A Rose?". The video premiered last night as part of CRADLE OF FILTH's Infernal Vernal Equinox Deadstream, and now fans all across the globe can also bask in its sublime black magick.

Directed by Vicente Cordero, the stunning video winds a haunting tale - sinister, alluring, and deadly. But he that dares not grasp the thorn, should never crave the rose...

Infamous front-man Dani Filth stated:
"This is yet another great video by director Vicente Cordero, encapsulating the occult essence of the song’s lyricism with great sweeping colorful strokes of total batshit-craziness.
It really makes for frightening, yet strangely compelling viewing!"

The gates of hell opened once again in 2021, revealing CRADLE OF FILTH's 13th manifesto Existence Is Futile. Pieced together in isolation at Grindstone Studios in Suffolk with studio guru Scott Atkins, the record is a pitch-black, perverse and at times absurdly brutal masterpiece, based around the concept of existentialism.

Diehard fans were thrilled to learn that horror icon Doug 'Pinhead' Bradley made a welcome return, lending his dulcet tones to the band's most politically astute song to date, the epic "Suffer Our Dominion" as well as the album bonus track "Sisters Of The Mist", which is the conclusion to the "Her Ghost In The Fog" trilogy, started over 20 years ago on the infamous and classic Midian.
