With the obvious success of their recent re-recordings, it is guaranteed that the Cavalera duo will be bringing their top-notch energy and proficiency to reviving CHAOS A.D. on stage. Songs like 'Refuse/Resist', 'Territory', 'Slave New World' and 'Propaganda' have been heralded as anthems for the underdogs, and to witness these tracks brought back to life is nothing short of a blessing. CHAOS A.D. is still regarded as one of the most influential recordings of the 90’s, garnering them Gold Record status and a benchmark in the halls of heavy metal history. 

This Fall, CAVALERA will kick off their Fall Tour performing Chaos AD in its entirety on September 18th at Louder Than Life. The 18-date trek will include performances in Hershey, PA with SLAYER, in Hammond, Indiana with LAMB OF GOD as well as Sacramento, CA for the Aftershock Festival before concluding in Dallas, Texas on October 18th. Joining the brothers for select dates are none other than Industrial metal pioneers and label-mates FEAR FACTORY. This marks a reunion of sorts as CAVALERA took FEAR FACTORY on the initial Chaos AD US tour 31 years ago.

CAVALERA - ANNOUNCE 'THIRD WORLD TRILOGY' U.S. TOUR!

CAVALERA has become synonymous with extreme metal music, a name that to this day still holds the highest regard, a family legacy built upon decades of musical aggression. In 2023, Max and Iggor Cavalera achieved what some would say was an impossible feat; they revisited their earliest releases, Morbid Visions, and Bestial Devastation, and re-recorded them with bone-breaking intensity. A risk that few would dare to even attempt, yet they artfully and prolifically attained their trademark raw sound by means that could only be described as magic or time travel. 

Today, the band announce their 'Third World Trilogy' U.S. Tour. The 30-trek will kick off on February 19th at Queen B in Cottonwood, Arizona and will make stops in Seattle, Brooklyn, and Orlando before concluding at the Van Buren in Phoenix on March 30th. Joining the tour are Oakland death metallers NECROT and  California thrash/hardcore band DEAD HEAT.

Max Cavalera states, "We are really excited to bring the 'Third World Trilogy', featuring Schizophrenia, to the US! If you want to hear  fast riffs, pummeling drums, thunderous bass, and schizophrenic leads, jump in our pit!!"

No stranger to collaborations, the Cavalera brothers enlisted Travis Stone (PIG DESTROYER) on lead guitars, and that choice becomes obvious within the first song. The full lineup would consist of more Cavalera alumni, as Igor Amadeus Cavalera (GO AHEAD AND DIE, HEALING MAGIC) once more brought his talents on bass to the fold. Thundering and thrumming the low end with brute force, it is clear that the double Iggor and Igor combination is a rhythm section to be reckoned with.

From April 15th to June 5th, 2023 the band re-recorded the album at Focusrite Room in Mesa, Arizona. Mixing and mastering was handled by Arthur Rizk (SOULFLY, GO AHEAD AND DIE, TURNSTILE) and engineering was completed by John Aquilino.

Schizophrenia’s album cover has obsessed and fascinated fans for decades. The brothers left no stone unturned and no detail unnoticed, also revisioning the original cover artwork of the album, restored in hand-painted watercolors by Eliran Kantor. 

With the impressive catalog that the CAVALERA brothers have created over the years, you will soon see that Schizophrenia will also sit amongst their greatest achievements. Max and Iggor have relinquished an album that for many years was locked away behind rusty, iron cell doors, barred by straight jackets and haunted by madness. Unhealthy Mechanisms was produced by Igor Amadeus Cavalera while John Aquilino handled the recording in his Platinum Underground Studio steeped in the mystic ambiance of the Superstition Mountains’ foothills. The mixing and mastering were once again handled by Arthur Rizk (CAVALERA, SOULFLY, TURNSTILE). CAVALERA Bestial Devastation & Morbid Visions Reissues Out Now + Release Animated Video For 'Troops Of Doom'

Metal legends CAVALERA released the re-recorded versions of  SEPULTURA's first EP Bestial Devastation and their first full-length album Morbid Visions via Nuclear Blast Records.

Today also marks the release of the band's animated video for their commanding single, 'Troops Of Doom' off Morbid Visions.

Max Cavalera states, "I can’t think of a better way to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the creation of SEPULTURA with my brother Iggor than to have these re-recordings be released in the 40th anniversary year, 2023!!!"

Iggor Cavalera comments, "Sonically and visually, I am 100% proud of what we’ve achieved to bring the true essence of Bestial devastation and Morbid visions to everyone. It was a matter of honor to make sure these two records sound as powerful as possible to our devoted fans and ourselves."
