SIFYN Announce "Self-Encrypted" EP & A New Era Of Pop-Metalcore

Minneapolis pop-metalcore outfit, SIFYN, pull at the threads of pain, connection, and survival on brand new single, "Code", out now. The track also arrives alongside the announcement of the band's forthcoming EP, "Self-Encrypted", set for release on December 4. Fusing the impact of metal with alternative rock, atmosphere, emo vulnerability, and pop-forward melody, "Code" is an urgent first glimpse into SIFYN's evolving sound. Watch the new video for "Code" below.

Beginning with the flicker of a television screen lost in static, the brand new video for "Code" erupts in a kaleidoscope of color and flashing lights to heighten the track's tension of between the urge to protect someone and the reality that they must find their own way forward. As anticipation builds for "Self-Encrypted", "Code" sets the pace for a new SIFYN chapter that is brighter, bolder, and built around an even stronger sense of momentum.

Reflecting on the strain of carrying the weight of someone else's pain on "Code", founding member and frontman Lukas Magyar shares:

"We can't wait to see how people react to our new sound. "Code" is full of brilliant moments and I think our fans will agree. It'll give everyone a glimpse of what is next for us."

Excited to introduce the next era of SIFYN with "Self-Encrypted", founding member and frontman Lukas Magyar emphasizes:

"Self Encrypted is an exciting collection. We packed a lot of substance into this body of work. I look forward to performing every track on this EP. It's challenging and it's emotional and energetic, but mostly it's just a ton of fun."

Drawing weight from metalcore with alt-rock textures, emo's volatility, and pop-minded melodies, SIFYN have found a way to make heavy music with a danceable pulse. Sharpening the contrast between intensity and immediacy, "Code" introduces the upcoming "Self-Encrypted" EP as a new phase for the Minneapolis band, one that is colorful while unbridled.

Founded by (ex-Veil Of Maya) Lukas Magyar, SIFYN made their debut with "Marionette" in 2022 and have continued to expand their palette with every release. What began as a creative outlet beyond Magyar's longtime work in heavy music became a space to follow different instincts: bigger melodic swings, looser genre boundaries, and songwriting that makes room for both technical weight and straight-to-the-chest emotion.

Be sure to stay tuned for more SIFYN news coming very soon.

ABOUT SIFYN

For nearly a decade, SIFYN have lived in a state of constant evolution, growing from a studio project into a full-fledged metal outfit comprising vocalist Lukas Magyar, guitarists Mike Green and Dustin Korth, bassist/co-writer Derek Sampson and drummer Avery Frisk. Along the way, the Minnesota-based quintet have developed a similar sonic restlessness, spinning a genre-blending sound that pulls from modern alternative rock, metalcore and early-2000s emo – muscular rhythms, skyward guitars, shimmering electronics and tightly layered vocals all filtered through Cyberpunk-sheen production. But rather than pledge allegiance to any one scene, SIFYN follow their instincts wherever they lead.

That freedom reaches a new level on SELF-ENCRYPTED, the band's new five-song EP and most personal collection to date. Where the group’s 2022 debut, Marionette, often channeled pieces of Magyar's life through fictional characters, SELF-ENCRYPTED fully closes the distance between songwriter and subject, grappling with loved ones in crisis, identity, ideology, dreams, reality and personal agency with the urgency of a deathbed confessional. By narrowing its perspective to lived experience, SIFYN’s music feels more universal than ever, leaving room for listeners to enter the story – not simply observing the band’s search for answers, but asking critical questions of their own right alongside them.

Orange County's Bleed the Sky welcome new vocalist, Monte Barnard and release new single "The Parasite" featuring guest vocalist Mark Hunter from Chimaira.

The band teamed up with director Eric DiCarlo (@ericdicarlo41) at Square Up Studios to direct the video. He is known for his work with Chelsea Grin, Attila, and Lorna Shore. Additional cinematography was done by Karl Whinnery of Hot Karl Productions and Ben Schigel of Spider Studios.

“I’m beyond excited to join forces with the legendary institution that is Bleed the Sky. Their music impacted me as part of a movement that was integral to my musical coming of age and frankly, I'm still pinching myself. The opportunity to create and add to their legacy is one I don’t take lightly,"says Monte Barnard.

Mark Hunter adds, "I am thrilled to lend my voice to the powerful sound of Bleed The Sky's 'The Parasite'. It's an honor to collaborate with such talented musicians and be a part of creating something truly unforgettable."

"'The Parasite' is about humanity’s growing addiction to distraction from the ever encroaching horrors that occupy just outside the periphery of our day to day existence. We constantly seek to ween and cope ourselves from the harsh truths we should be addressing head on. By remaining ignorant and distracted, we only tighten the seal on our inevitable doom," says the band.

Formed in 2003, Orange County based metal band Bleed The Sky are back with a new single as well as a new frontman. Following two well received albums released on Nuclear Blast Records, Paradigm in Entropy (2005) and Murder the Dance (2008), the band once again redefined who they are with the Art Is War Records release This Way Lies Madness (2020) and the single The Devil Will See You Now (2020). Bleed The Sky returns with the same intensity that is familiar to fans of their previous albums, as well as a new brutality that they are excited to share with the metal community.

Getting his start in Northern California's Death Metal scene, Monte Barnard joined Alterbeast in 2014 and continued his work touring and filling in on vocals with such bands as Thy Art Is Murder,The Kennedy Veil and Fallujah. He also fronts Emberthrone on Seek & Strike Records, as well as Lesser Animal.

Bleed the Sky is:

Weeping Wound Unleash New Single + Music Video "fromm.here on" Taken From Forthcoming EP 'idontbelonghere.'

Atmospheric metalcore trio Weeping Wound have released their latest single and music video "fromm.here on". The track is off the band's forthcoming EP 'idontbelonghere.' set for release this Friday, September 16 (via Blood Blast Distribution). Speaking on today's drop, the band shares:

"fromm.here on’ is the final visual installment for Weeping Wound’s upcoming EP ‘idontbelonghere.’, - our pride and joy. The intention is to portray the mother/lover signifier as the same through the grand feminine - woman as God. Seeing ‘her’ as everything all at once, encompassing all joy and pain and everything in between, that the purpose of life is to Feel. Hugely influenced by the Dionysian/Early Christ concept of the female shaman mixing entheogenic wines for seekers, the visual for "fromm.here on" completes our protagonist's efforts through these such journeys where he can now truly See. ‘idontbelonghere.’ arrives on 9.16.22, and it’s hoped upon experiencing the record in full, it allows the listener to See as well."

Prior to today, Weeping Wound released the haunting music video for their track "fourthh.love". Watch the music video for "fromm.here on" below, and pre-order 'idontbelonghere.' at the link here

Weeping Wound are an atmospheric nu-metalcore outfit whose purpose is to tell their personal stories of occult & esoteric spirituality, mental illness, and substance abuse through sonically intense, genre-bending music.

After touring relentlessly since conception, releasing an EP in 2017, a single the following year, and their debut Billboard charting full-length "P A I N" in late 2019, they are now collectively entering a new chapter as artists and people; more honest and true to themselves than ever before - feeling like they’ve found their own voice.

Their upcoming EP of six tracks, 'idontbelonghere.', is a truly collaborative, cohesive effort between the family the band has become, along with their trusted mixing engineer, George Lever.

With Loren Whitaker’s dynamic sound design and agile drumming, Dylan Torre’s powerful voice and word placement, and Patrick Dowling’s innate sense of structure and barebones heavy riffing, 'idontbelonghere.' is a fresh and bold take on a style of music that as of now has deep roots around the globe.
