ABOUT VEIL OF MAYA

By channeling energy in one direction, force grows exponentially. VEIL OF MAYA harness the individual experiences and talents of four distinct musicians—Marc Okubo [guitar], Sam Applebaum [drums], Danny Hauser [bass], and Lukas Magyar [vocals]—into airtight groove-laden metal accented by fits of instrumental virtuosity and vocal catharsis. This approach has endeared them to a devout fan base with critical acclaim and over 135 million total streams and counting (unprecedented for an outfit this crushingly heavy). The Chicago band drew on the strength of their union on their long-awaited seventh full-length offering, '[m]other', released last year via Sumerian Records.

VEIL OF MAYA have consistently pushed the boundaries of heavy music by pushing themselves collectively. 2015’s Matriarch

made major waves, crashing the Billboard US Hard Rock Albums Chart at #2 powered by “Aeris,” “LeeLoo,” and “Mikasa.” The latter has gathered over 25.4 million Spotify streams and counting.

In 2017, 'False Idol' saw the band return to the Top 3 of the Hard Rock Albums Chart as “Overthrow” and “Doublespeak” each eclipsed 8 million-plus Spotify streams apiece. Simultaneously, they toured alongside Animals As Leaders, Upon A Burning Body, Chelsea Grin, Oceans Ate Alaska, and more.

In the midst of the Pandemic, they dropped singles “Outsider,” Viscera,” and “Outrun” and in 2023, finally released their 7th full length album, '[m]other', spawning massive singles "Godhead", "Red Fur", "Mother pt 4" and "Disco Kill Party" followed by extensive touring across the globe.

ABOUT BRAND OF SACRIFICE

Since 2018, Toronto-based deathcore quintet BRAND OF SACRIFICE have been making an undeniably indelible mark on the heavy music scene. Dubbed ‘The Branded Ones,’ the group’s fans joined and marched with them as they tore across the globe in support of their sophomore album "Lifeblood", which debuted on 8 separate Billboard charts and earned them a Juno nomination for Metal Album of the Year. Other highlights included slots on highly anticipated tours with artists like Spiritbox, Thy Art is Murder, We Came as Romans & more.

BRAND OF SACRIFICE pushed the envelope even further with their next release, EP 'Between Death and Dreams' in 2023. With production even more cinematic, exemplified by massive choral soundscapes, brutal breakdowns, and quite few surprises along the way, the EP was met with huge critical acclaim and showcased an exceptional evolution of their sound.

In December of 2023 BRAND OF SACRIFICE announced signing to world renowned label, Nuclear Blast Records. Having previously seen huge growth via their partnership with sister company, Blood Blast Distribution, signing with Nuclear Blast was the natural progression for the band. BRAND OF SACRIFICE ushered in their exciting new era with the release of single "PURGE", another giant leap in their continued sonic evolution.

Across their releases to date, BRAND OF SACRIFICE have hit 60 million streams and 13 million YouTube views . The band draws its name from popular anime series Berserk by Kentaro Miura.

BRAND OF SACRIFICE Sign To Nuclear Blast Records; Drop New Single & Music Video, "Purge"

Canadian deathcore wrecking crew, BRAND OF SACRIFICE, are ending 2023 with a gargantuan bang as they announce their signing to legendary record label, Nuclear Blast Records. To celebrate this iconic new partnership, the band have released phenomenally heavy new single, "Purge". The glorious new serving of brutality comes accompanied by a stunning, cinematic music video, the caliber of which has become somewhat for a calling card for the band. Stream "Purge" HERE and watch the music video below.

Speaking on the brand new track, BRAND OF SACRIFICE frontman, Kyle Anderson shares

""Purge," powerfully delves into the complexities of addiction, weaving a narrative of struggle, but also resilience. It is an ode to personal transformation, showcasing the journey towards becoming one's best self amidst life's challenges."

BRAND OF SACRIFICE dropped their critically acclaimed EP, 'Between Death & Dreams', earlier this year. Spawning a string of huge singles - "Exodus", "Dynasty", "Between Death & Dreams" and "Blinded". Preceding the EP, was their 2021, chart-topping breakthrough album, 'Lifeblood' that appeared in multiple year-end 'Best of' lists and lead the charge for the ongoing deathcore revolution that's been sweeping through the underground over recent years, leading to a meteoric resurgence in the genre's popularity. For both releases, the band partnered with Blood Blast Distribution, sister company to Nuclear Blast Records, making today's signing news a natural progression in BRAND OF SACRIFICE epic quest to conquer the world of heavy music. Speaking on their new label deal, Anderson continues

"We’re very excited to be kicking off the new era of Nuclear Blast Records with ‘Purge’! Having worked with Blood Blast for most of our previous releases and campaigns, we’re looking forward to building upon that success within the same powerhouse umbrella"

With a colossal new partnership underway with Nuclear Blast Records, this next chapter of BRAND OF SACRIFICE promises to be even more relentlessly furious, ground-breaking and genre re-defining that what has come before. Keep it locked for more news from the Demon King and his cohorts in 2024.

Harper Enlists Brand of Sacrifice and We Came As Romans On New Single "Weight Of The World"

HARPER, the incredible 11-year-old vocalist who took the internet by storm with her mind-blowing cover of Spiritbox's "Holy Roller" and captured the hearts of millions as a contestant on last year's America's Got Talent, is back with an electrifying new single titled "Weight of The World." The track is a bonafide metalcore banger, written by Leo Valeri, guitarist and producer of deathcore heavyweights Brand of Sacrifice and features the phenomenal vocal talents of Dave Stephens from We Came As Romans. This powerhouse team has come together to create a song that is both a rallying cry for heavy music lovers and an empowering anthem for young people everywhere. Stream the track HERE and watch the video below.

When asked about the inspiration behind the track, HARPER shared

"Weight Of The World was written about the last few years of my life. I'm still so new to music, and I definitely felt there was a lot of pressure on my shoulders holding the flag for heavy music on such a commercial stage last year. It's also a very empowering song, and I really hope through my music a lot of kids my age can discover heavy music and also be inspired to make their own. It was so good to work with Leo and Dave on this song. I'm a big fan of both of their bands, so to have them be a part of this was really cool!"

With "Weight Of The World", Harper is boldly breaking barriers and proving that age is just a number when it comes to channeling emotion and power through heavy music. The track is a perfect showcase of HARPER's immense talent and unwavering dedication to her craft. This is just the beginning of an incredible musical journey for this young superstar.

About Brand Of Sacrifice

Since 2018, Toronto-based deathcore quintet BRAND OF SACRIFICE have been imprinting their mark on the heavy music scene. Dubbed ‘The Branded Ones,’ the group’s fans joined and marched with them as they tore across the globe in support of debut EP 'The Interstice' and LP statement 'God Hand' which debuted at #20 on Billboard’s Heatseekers Albums Chart.

Other highlights to a whirlwind cycle for 'God Hand' included a slot on The Summer Slaughter Tour with Carnifex, Cattle Decapitation, The Faceless and Lorna Shore, a world tour with tech vets Rings of Saturn, plus a tour with fellow upcoming deathcore titans Shadow of Intent.

BRAND OF SACRIFICE have spread their wings for sophomore LP 'Lifeblood'. With a production even more pummeling, exemplified by laser-sharp structures and a wide-gulf of dynamics, the album takes catchy to another level, with choruses comprising string orchestrations and synths, alongside bludgeoning breakdowns and plenty of guest appearances. Across their releases to date, BRAND OF SACRIFICE have hit 43 million streams and 10 million YouTube views.

Fans at any BRAND OF SACRIFICE show will be familiar with set-closer “Eclipse” and its ending chant of, “Welcome to the new age.” With 'Lifeblood', it’s evident the band have ushered in yet another, even fresher era from which there is no turning back.

Brand Of Sacrifice & Spiritbox Team Up For Shibori Threads Metal Streetwear Drop

Brand Of Sacrifice Owned Custom Streetwear Brand

SHIBORI THREADS

Announce Limited Edition Collaboration With

Spiritbox

On-Sale 12am EST on Friday November 26th

ShiboriThreads.com

SHIBORI THREADS - the metal streetwear brand co-owned by Kyle Anderson (vocals) and Leo Valeri (guitar) of manga-themed deathcore behemoth BRAND OF SACRIFICE - have announced a very special Black Friday drop in collaboration with one of the hottest new bands in heavy music, SPIRITBOX. As is the case with all SHIBORI THREADS items, the SPIRITBOX sweatsuit is custom cut, dyed and sewn, meaning that the 500 items of each design are all slightly unique. The collab goes live at 12am on Friday, November 26th, 2021 from ShiboriThreads.com

Speaking on their latest collaboration, Leo Valeri shares

“We’re beyond stoked to collaborate with one of the most exciting and promising heavy bands in the scene. There’s no doubt Eternal Blue pushed the genre forward in unprecedented ways, so we wanted to put together a bespoke crossover collection that would fit into that same standard - and I think we’ve definitely done that! These are some of the best Shibori designs released to date!”

Taking their name from a Japanese method of tie dying garments, SHIBORI THREADS is the new frontier of custom cut & sew streetwear apparel. Their designs are intricate and bold, encompassing collaborations with notable pop culture brands and artists within the metal scene from which they came. Since launching earlier this year, the brand have collaborated on previous drops with Dance Gavin Dance, Killswitch Engage, Crown The Empire, Erra, Fit For A King, August Burns Red, The Deathcore Collection feat. Whitechapel, Chelsea Grin, Thy Art Is Murder, Veil of Maya, Carnifex and Despised icon and their original Slaughter to Sacrifice drop, a mash up of Brand Of Sacrifice and Slaughter To Prevail. Every single drop has sold out before the week-long availability window closed, with some selling out in less than 24 hours. The store has featured in the top 1% trafficked stores on Shopify, driving around 20,000 monthly visitors.

Speaking on the enormous success of SHIBORI THREADS, Leo Valeri shares

"Kyle and I have been active in the music industry and very tuned into streetwear and alternative fashion for a long time now, so we set out to create a brand that bridges the barrier between the edgy imagery you find in metal, and the robust palettes and high quality of today's streetwear trends. Coming up in the metal scene, we noticed something missing when it came to creative and colorful band merchandise. Most rock artists just print on black shirts... which is kind of boring, considering the extremely lively and exciting music they often make.

"When it all began, Shibori Threads was just a passion project run out of our apartments. We were literally printing labels and shipping everything on our own, by hand. We considered it a great way to work with and support some of our favorite artists during the pandemic while making apparel we would actually wear."

Each design is extremely limited with only 500 pieces available for a 1 week period starting Friday, November 26th, 2021. Fans should note that due to each item being hand-made, there is a production turn around of 6-8 weeks.

With more exciting brand and band collabs on the way, SHIBORI THREADS are only just getting started. Follow the trail of dye—or get left behind

Speaking on the enormous success of SHIBORI THREADS, Leo Valeri shares

"Coming up in the metal scene, we noticed something missing when it came to creative and colorful band merchandise. Most rock artists just print on black shirts... which is kind of boring, considering the extremely lively and exciting music they often make.

Kyle and I have been active in the music industry and very tuned into streetwear and alternative fashion for a long time now, so we set out to create a brand that bridges the barrier between the edgy imagery you find in metal, and the robust palettes and high quality of today's streetwear trends.

When it all began, Shibori Threads was just a passion project run out of our apartments. We were literally printing labels and shipping everything on our own, by hand. We considered it a great way to work with and support some of our favorite artists during the pandemic while making apparel we would actually wear.

Less than a year later, it's completely blown up to the point where it's a household brand in the metal and rock world. We're now working on crossovers with artists and brands we wouldn't have even thought possible to collaborate with a year ago. It's the coolest thing in the world to see someone wearing one of our hoodies at a show, and the first question you hear them get asked is: `Is that a Shibori hoodie?'"

The new collection features 5 different designs

Shibori x Killswitch Engage Crystal Dye Crossover Hoodie

Shibori x August Burns Red Gradient Dye Crossover Hoodie

Shibori x Erra Gradient Dye Crossover Hoodie

Shibori x Crown The Empire Gradient Dye Crossover Hoodie

Shibori x Fit For A King Gradient Dye Crossover Hoodie

Each design is extremely limited with only 500 pieces available for a 1 week period starting today - Friday, October 29th, 2021. Fans should note that due to each item being hand-made, there is a production turn around of 6-8 weeks.

Since launching earlier this year, the brand have collaborated on previous drops with Dance Gavin Dance, The Deathcore Collection feat. Whitechapel, Chelsea Grin, Thy Art Is Murder, Veil of Maya, Carnifex and Despised icon and their originalSlaughter to Sacrifice drop, a mash up of Brand Of Sacrifice and Slaughter To Prevail. With more exciting brand and band collabs on the way, SHIBORI THREADS are only just getting started. Follow the trail of dye—or get left behind
