Fight From Within Release New Single “Let Me Out” Featuring Hidden Track “TATT”

Upstate New York metalcore outfit Fight From Within released their new single, “Let Me Out,” through an exciting new partnership with Arson Theory. Produced by Pablo Viveros (Formerly Chelsea Grin), the track captures the band’s energy and edge to their sound.

“We had a blast with this track,” the band shares. “We wanted it to be intense and kind of trippy. We even added a little surprise in the release."

That surprise comes in the form of a hidden track titled “TATT,” which stands for “Tired All The Time.” The track delivers a pointed message from the band about their frustrations with the current state of the scene.

“TATT stands for ‘Tired All The Time’ because we’re so over the bullshit in the scene,” the band explains.

Alongside the release of “Let Me Out,” Fight From Within will be hitting the road this spring, bringing their high-energy live show to fans across multiple cities. Known for their explosive performances and uncompromising attitude, the band continues to build momentum both on record and on stage. Recently, the band

signed with Core Collective Talent Agency for US and Canada tours & Timeframe Booking for Europe.

“Let Me Out” is available now on all major streaming platforms.

In 2022, they began tracking new music with Pablo Viveros of Chelsea Grin. They have taken the stage at many key festivals, from Sonic Temple to The Gathering of the Juggles to Inkcarceration to Louder Than Life. The band headed into 2026 like a freight train — all gas, no brakes.

CELESTIAL DEATH Unleash New Single “Seed Corrupted"

Rooted in dystopian themes and extreme, yet melodic black metal ferocity, “Seed Corrupted” introduces listeners to the opening chapter of CELESTIAL DEATH’s larger conceptual narrative that explores corruption, power, and the cyclical nature of destruction and rebirth.

Musically, “Seed Corrupted” merges modern melodic black metal with dark, post-metal atmosphere. A distorted lead melody establishes a dissonant tone before erupting into thunderous percussion and obliterating vocal delivery. The arrangement shifts between relentless high-speed aggression and slower, oppressive passages, creating a dynamic soundscape that mirrors the tension within the song’s narrative.

While the track stands on its own as a powerful single, it also serves as an entry point into a much larger conceptual story that CELESTIAL DEATH’s founding guitarist and vocalist, Forrest Jessup, has been developing for years. At its core, “Seed Corrupted” presents a conversation between two figures navigating morality, power, and survival in a corrupted world.

Part of the narrative draws inspiration from the mythology surrounding Al Capone, who famously spent time imprisoned in the Atlanta Federal Penitentiary - located only two miles from where Jessup grew up. Within the story, Capone appears as a mentor figure speaking to an unnamed protégé about the realities of power, violence, and the moral compromises required to survive within ruthless systems.

The title “Seed Corrupted” acts as a metaphor for how corruption rarely begins with a single act of evil, but instead grows from the environments people are forced to navigate. In harsh societal conditions - particularly in impoverished urban environments shaped by systemic oppression - organized crime often becomes less a matter of choice and more a mechanism of survival. Within the narrative, the mentor figure reflects on his rise to power while acknowledging both the brutality and the intoxicating nature of chaos itself.

One of the song’s central lines captures this duality:

“We planted this seed, corrupted this society, enchanted by our anarchy.”

While figures like Capone are condemned by society, they are also mythologized and romanticized in cultural memory - often framed through outlaw folklore that blurs the line between villain and antihero.

Growing up in Atlanta heavily influenced the themes behind the track. The city’s cultural identity - built on resilience, struggle, and an uncompromising survival mentality - shaped Jessup’s perspective and writing. Atlanta has long been a place where artists and communities have fought to build something from nothing, embodying a spirit often summarized as “got it out the mud.” That mindset of relentless survival and self-determination echoes throughout the worldview of the characters within CELESTIAL DEATH’s unfolding story.

The artwork for “Seed Corrupted,” created by Jim Bob Cooter Jr. (who did the band’s debut single, "Anti-Preacher"), visually reinforces these themes. The illustration depicts a decaying urban skyline and fractured cityscape amidst a bleak natural environment, in the center of which is a body of water, and dying tree of life… Above the surface lies the decay, symbolizing a society already consumed by corruption. The inverted reflection in the pool, however, reveals a thriving city of prosperity and abundant tree of life. The imagery suggests that corruption has already taken root in the present world, while the reflection represents either a forgotten past or a possible future that humanity has lost - or may one day reclaim.

“Seed Corrupted” serves as the first glimpse into the broader conceptual world of CELESTIAL DEATH - a narrative built around cycles of corruption, collapse, and rebirth. Much like the ancient symbol of the ouroboros, the story exists within a continuous loop where endings become beginnings and fallen systems inevitably reform themselves. This philosophy also mirrors the band’s deeper artistic identity and the ethos behind Terminus Hate City itself: the understanding that decay and creation are inseparable forces. Like the phoenix rising from ash, destruction becomes the catalyst for transformation, and new life inevitably grows from the ruins of the old.

Without A Face Announce Papercut Recordings Signing With New Double Single “Needful Things” & "Resurfacing (feat. Jacob Mathes of Orphan)"

Toronto musician and producer Kevin Rolly today introduces the next chapter of his unbridled deathcore powerhouse Without A Face with the release of “Needful Things,” a new double single out now alongside the official announcement of the project’s signing to Papercut Recordings. Listen to the double single HERE and find the YouTube visualizer BELOW.

The double single release features tracks "Needful Things" and "Resurfacing" (featuing Jacob Mathes of Orphan). Written and performed by Rolly, Without A Face channels unbridled aggression, pressure, frustration and catharsis into something visceral. The goal is simple, the music should provoke a reaction. Whether that response is discomfort, rage or recognition, indifference has no place in the equation.

The project first began gaining attention with the release of the EP Rat Poison, a short, apoplectic and explosive introduction that quickly found an audience within the modern deathcore community. The release earned strong support from platforms including Slam Worldwide and The Brutality Podcast, whose listeners helped amplify the project and ultimately recognized Rat Poison in the outlet’s year-end awards with a nomination for 'New Deathcore Band of the Year'.

That early momentum helped push Without A Face past 930,000 Spotify streams, 125,000 Apple Music streams and more than 340,000 YouTube views, establishing the project as one of the most promising new names emerging from the underground extreme music space.

Needful Things” now serves as the first release of a new era for Without A Face and the first under the Papercut banner.

Without A Face emerged after years of Rolly working professionally in music through production, engineering and underground rap. Although the work built experience and connections, he eventually felt pulled back toward the kind of heavy music that first shaped him. Records that felt volatile, visceral and impossible to ignore. Without A Face became the vehicle for returning to that space with intent.

The aggression that defines the music is grounded in real stakes. A neck injury in recent years, combined with ongoing hearing issues, left Rolly needing an outlet for his rage and frustration. Those searing emotions sit at the core of Without A Face, fueling the project’s unflinching intensity.

With “Needful Things” now released and the partnership with Papercut Recordings in place, Without A Face enters its next phase with momentum already building and more music expected to follow.

ABOUT WITHOUT A FACE

Without A Face is the solo project of Toronto musician and producer Kevin Rolly, created as an outlet for heavy music that carries real emotional weight. After years working professionally in music through production, engineering and underground rap, he returned to the extreme music that first shaped him, creating a project built on catharsis, urgency and impact.

Written and performed by Rolly, Without A Face turns lived experience, frustration and creative pressure into music designed to provoke a real emotional response.

Since launching the project, Without A Face has amassed over 1 million cross platform streams, and more than 340,000 views on YouTube, with early support from platforms including Slam Worldwide and The Brutality Podcast helping introduce the project to a rapidly growing heavy music audience.

Without A Face announced their signing to Papercut Recordings in March of 2026 with the release of double single "Needful Things" and the threat of more new music on the horizon.

SUNSWARM Announce Crushing New Single "Erasure" Ahead of Forthcoming Album

Southampton, UK industrial post-metal act SUNSWARM announce the release of their new single "Erasure."

"Erasure" is not structured as a traditional single. Across eight minutes, the track unfolds as a bleak and overwhelming piece of industrial post-metal, built from early 90s industrial sampling techniques, scorched guitar textures, and vocals shaped by black-metal intensity. Rhythms move like shifts in pressure rather than conventional song structures, creating an atmosphere of suffocation and psychological weight.

Emerging from UK South Coast underground scene, SUNSWARM draw influence from the brutal desolation of GODFLESH, the spiritual intensity of AMENRA, the sonic extremity of THE BODY, and the cosmic dread of ORANSSI PAZUZU. Their sound merges industrial noise, post-metal density, and extreme vocal expression into something immersive and deeply physical.

The band describe the track as the emotional entry point into the record: "This is the opening track from our forthcoming album. It’s not a song. It’s 8 minutes of bleak, overwhelming Industrial Post-Metal. No Light. This nihilism is not a political or philosophical position. It is waking in the middle of the night and feeling a void. The growing feeling of strangulation in this creeping dystopia that the power structures and their tech is dragging us and our children into.

When you strip back the substances and digital, what oxygen do we have left? Erasure. Erased."

With "Erasure", SUNSWARM present confrontation rather than escape, reflecting modern anxiety, technological alienation, and the erosion of identity within an increasingly mechanized world.

The single is a harbinger of a wider conceptual release, with further details on the forthcoming album to be announced soon.

About SUNSWARM:

SUNSWARM is led by vocalist and bassist Rich Lee-Davis and vocalist and guitarist Neil Sutton, joined by additional contributors who extend the band’s sonic and visual reach. Together they construct an immersive environment where sound, light, and texture collide. Their creative world is defined by sensory overload, stark monochrome imagery, disorienting strobe work, and the feeling of being enclosed within an atmosphere that is both vast and hostile. Everything they create is intended to overwhelm, to blur the line between performance and encounter.

From their earliest ideas, SUNSWARM have operated from a place of complete self-definition, shaping a language of heaviness that goes beyond impact or aggression. They approach weight and intensity as emotional terrain, a landscape shaped by pressure, absence, and the darker edges of lived experience. Their second single, “Erasure,” marks a further reveal of this landscape, a glimpse into the bleak and immersive world the band is building.

BLACK SITES Unveil "Aquarius Betrayed" And Announce New Album, For Eternity

Drawing from old school metal, heavy quartet BLACK SITES present their new single "Aquarius Betrayed", the first offering taken from the upcoming album, For Eternity. The album will be released independently on July 17, 2026.

The approaching full-length marks a new chapter for BLACK SITES as Mark Sugar is joined with an updated line-up. For Eternity showcases a development in the band's sound and sees the members' contributions enhance the music's sonic quality.

"Aquarius Betrayed" reflects frustration at the contradiction towards previous generations who "reaped the benefits of the most socially liberated and progressive era in history, and then quickly turned their back on those values when they became inconvenient."

On the recording process for "Aquarius Betrayed", band founder Mark Sugar shares, "This was also the first song that Lee (Smith, new guitarist) recorded guitar for. He’s the only member of the band I hadn’t worked with before, so I wasn’t sure what to expect, but his solo here is more than impressive."

For Eternity was produced by Mark Sugar & Chris Black, recorded at I Can’t Believe It’s Not Mace Street Studios, with mixing and mastering by Dan Swano. Drums on For Eternity were recorded by Vladimir Ružičić at Kebac Recording Studio.

About BLACK SITES:

Sugar was later joined by members John Picillo (bass), Ryan Bruchert (guitar) and Chris Avgerin (drums). BLACK SITES combines old school metal with guitar harmonies, melodic/clean vocals and progressive elements, primarily drawing inspiration from the likes of VOIVOD, BLACK SABBATH, and KING’S X.

BLACK SITES released their debut In Monochrome in 2017 (Mascot/Provogue Records), followed by Exile in 2019. 2021 saw the release of Untrue that was produced by Sanford Parker and awarded Record Of the Year by Dr. A.N. Grier at AngryMetalGuy.com. BLACK SITES ventured to The Promised Land? with their 2024 full-length that featured Tom Draper. (Ex-CARCASS/SPIRIT ADRIFT) on the track "Chasing Eternity".

Ryan Perdz Confronts Self-Sabotage On New Single "Sour"

Buffalo, NY singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Ryan Perdz releases his new single “Sour” today via Big Machine Rock, a raw and unfiltered meditation on self-hatred, stubbornness, and the quiet desperation of wanting to change but not knowing where to begin. Stream “SourHERE and watch the accompanying visualizer Below.

Built on brooding, distortion-soaked guitars and a vocal performance that moves from restraint to rupture, “Sour” captures the internal push and pull of someone caught inside their own patterns. The track does not offer tidy resolution. Instead, it leans into the discomfort of self-awareness, tracing the space between yearning for growth and resisting it. Speaking on today's release, Ryan Perdz shares

“‘Sour’ is a song about self hatred. Not wanting to bring anyone into your life, being so stuck in your own ways. It’s a stubborn way of yearning for change but not knowing where to begin.”

At 24, Perdz has built a formidable independent foundation. Self-taught across guitar, bass, violin, and mandolin, he amassed more than one million followers across social platforms and drew 60 million views to his cover of Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit.” His original catalogue has now surpassed 5.6 million Spotify streams, with 67,000 monthly listeners. Recent single “Temporary” has earned more than 500,000 Spotify streams and 142,000 YouTube views, while “Paradise” has grown to 2.3 million Spotify streams and 250,000 YouTube views.

In early 2025, Perdz signed with Big Machine Rock and began recording his debut full-length album. “Sour” arrives as the latest release from those sessions, sharpening the emotional edge of an artist intent on defining his own lane.

Raised on his grandparents’ dairy farm in Buffalo, Perdz grew up surrounded by the voices of 90s rock and grunge, studying guitar obsessively after receiving his first instrument at ten years old. That fixation still drives his approach. His guitar work remains central to his identity, and his lyrics land with plainspoken intensity whilst still allowing listeners space to see their own experiences reflected back at them.

With “Sour,” Ryan Perdz continues to move beyond the viral moments that first introduced him to millions, grounding his career in original work that reflects both impactful emotional resonance and a unique and undeniable talent.

About Ryan Perdz

Ryan Perdz is a 24-year-old singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist from Buffalo, NY. Raised on his grandparents’ family farm, he began teaching himself guitar at age ten and expanded into bass, violin, and mandolin, developing a hands-on approach to songwriting and arrangement.

Influenced by artists such as Nirvana, Chris Cornell, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Led Zeppelin, Perdz channels the emotional weight of 90s rock through a modern lens, balancing grit with melody. His music often explores isolation, self-doubt, and perseverance, delivered with a clarity that feels lived-in rather than ornamental.

After independently releasing multiple singles and his First Sight EP an racking up tens of millions of views across social media, Perdz cultivated a loyal audience through consistent self-directed output. In 2025, he signed with Big Machine Rock and began recording his debut full-length album. His growing catalogue of original music has generated millions of streams, and his audience continues to expand across digital platforms.

As he prepares to unveil his debut album, Ryan Perdz stands positioned at the forefront of a new generation of rock artists shaped by both digital culture and classic influences.

APOSTLE Announce New Album A Splinter in the Infinite Noumenon, Release Crushing New Single "Swine"

ATLANTA, GA metal trio APOSTLE have announced their forthcoming full-length album A Splinter in the Infinite Noumenon, set for release June 5, 2026 via Terminus Hate City. Alongside the announcement, the band has unveiled the album’s first single, "Swine", accompanied by a visualizer.

Formed in 2017, APOSTLE have built a reputation for blending the aggression of grindcore and chaotic hardcore with the atmosphere of post-black metal and the melodic weight of shoegaze and post-rock. Their sound is urgent, emotive, and cathartic, drawing influence from bands such as Plebeian Grandstand, Yellow Eyes, Wiegedood, Mourier, and Kły. With A Splinter in the Infinite Noumenon, the Atlanta trio deliver their most cohesive and devastating work to date.

"Swine" erupts with panicked tremolo melodies and punishing rhythmic shifts, channeling collective frustration into controlled chaos. Lyrically, the track confronts systems of oppression, consequence, and accountability, using stark imagery and visceral delivery to underscore the emotional and political weight behind its message. The song captures APOSTLE at their most confrontational while maintaining the dynamic depth and melodic sensibility that define the band’s evolving identity.

The album title references Carl Jung’s description of humanity as a “splinter in the infinite deity,” framing the record as an exploration of spiritual duality, grief, and self-examination. Across six tracks and 27 minutes, the band move through themes of loss, mortality, internal conflict, and eventual healing. The record serves as both a meditation on the human condition and a deeply personal tribute shaped by grief and remembrance.

Produced, engineered, and mixed by Connor Ray at Sobek Sound and mastered by Erol Ulug at Bright Lights, A Splinter in the Infinite Noumenon presents APOSTLE in their most refined and expansive form.

Their latest album, A Splinter in the Infinite Noumenon, represents the band’s most fully realized work to date. Drawing from existential philosophy and deeply personal experiences with grief and remembrance, the record explores humanity’s connection to something greater while acknowledging the struggle inherent in being human. Across its runtime, APOSTLE seek connection through shared emotional experience, transforming personal suffering into collective release.

ARISING EMPIRE MEDIA ALERT: Vicious Rain Release New Single

Swiss metalcore powerhouse VICIOUS RAIN aren't slowing down — they're sharpening the blade.

With their brand new single "A Spotless Mind," the band unveil another intense chapter of an album cycle that has already seen momentum. Following the impact of "IKIGAI," "Spitting Blood Again," "Silent Therapy," and "Trading Hearts," Vicious Rain continue to prove that this era isn't built on one strong track — it's a statement of consistency and evolution.

"A Spotless Mind" dives deeper into the emotional weight that has defined this cycle so far, but it does so with a new level of urgency. Where previous singles balanced atmosphere and aggression, this one feels more immediate — sharp riffs, soaring tension, and a chorus that lingers long after the final breakdown fades. It's heavy, but controlled. Emotional, but not fragile. The kind of track that doesn’t just hit — it stays.

All of this leads toward their upcoming full-length release, set to drop on March 13th. If the singles so far are any indication, Vicious Rain aren't just releasing an album — they're cementing their place as one of the most compelling forces in modern European metalcore.

"A Spotless Mind" is another reminder: This isn't hype. It's momentum.

BBR MUSIC GROUP/BMG NASHVILLE ANNOUNCES THE SIGNING OF RISING COUNTRY VOICE MARY KUTTER

With “Bed of Roses,” out today via BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville, Mary Kutter makes a stark, unapologetic entrance to the roster. Written by Kutter alongside John Frank and Tom Pino, and produced by Kurt Allison and Tully Kennedy, the song unfolds like a Southern noir short story with equal parts grit, dark humor, and a sense of reckoning. Listen BELOW.

Built on razor-edged riffs and a pulse that cuts like a thorned guitar pick, “Bed of Roses” drops the listener straight into the fallout, where lines have been crossed, secrets stay buried, and beauty grows from something far more dangerous. Kutter’s vocal sits at the center of the tension, cool and unflinching, daring the listener to lean in closer.

Rather than softening the story or looking away, “Bed of Roses” leans all the way in planting itself in a lane of revenge country anchored by hits like The Chicks “Goodbye Earl.” The song lets implication do the heavy lifting, pairing vivid imagery with a sharp sense of humor that keeps the narrative firmly in control. It’s a reminder that sometimes survival isn’t loud. It’s quiet, calculated, and final.

“‘Bed of Roses’ lives in the kind of storytelling country I grew up loving,” says Kutter. “I love songs that make you lean in, raise an eyebrow, and maybe laugh at the wrong moment. This song has teeth. It’s playful with its dark humor, and it doesn’t ask permission. Those are the songs that made me fall in love with this genre in the first place.”

“Bed of Roses” marks a new chapter for Kutter as she steps forward as an artist unafraid to say the quiet part out loud. Leading with classic country storytelling while letting a harder edge show through, the track introduces a voice that doesn’t chase approval or resolution, only truth, however uncomfortable it may be.

About Mary Kutter:

Kentucky raised and Nashville based, Mary Kutter writes songs that live in the gray area blurring genre lines and creative narratives. Drawing from country storytelling and rock-leaning intensity, her music favors sharp images over easy answers. As both a songwriter and recording artist, Kutter gravitates toward characters on the edge, flawed, resilient, and unapologetically human. Before stepping fully into her own voice as an artist, she built a reputation as a songwriter willing to go where others would not, with her work appearing on major-label releases and charting records by Bailey Zimmerman, Nate Smith, and Zach John King. Those experiences sharpened her instincts and reinforced her belief that the most powerful songs are the ones that tell the truth plainly, without sanding down the rough edges. Onstage, Kutter brings that same intensity into the room. Her performances are direct and unfiltered, rooted in connection rather than theatrics. Whether playing intimate venues or larger stages, she commands attention through presence, letting the songs do the heavy lifting. With “Bed of Roses,” Kutter begins a new chapter defined by confidence, clarity, and a refusal to soften the point.

Haste the Day Announce New Album "Dissenter" Out 5/1 + Share "Shallows" Visualizer

HASTE THE DAY, the metalcore band that made a scene splash in the '00s, returned in 2024 with the video for the new song "Burn." They also appeared at Furnace Fest that year. It was their first music in nearly a decade.

But they didn't stop there. Not a chance!

Today, the band is thrilled to announce its new album DISSENTER, which arrives May 1 on Solid State Records. It's their first album since 2015. Pre-order it here

They have also shared the visualizer for new single "Shallows." Watch it below

"'Shallows' captures the core of what we set out to create on this record — aggressive, melodic metalcore," the band says. "Driven by high-energy riffs, heavy breakdowns, and a memorable chorus, the song balances nostalgia with contemporary influence. Lyrically, it confronts disillusionment, corruption, and the cost of defiance."

So absorb all of that insight and then open up the pit...

Haste The Day conjure the sound of coming full circle. The Indiana-bred band rekindles the spark at the heart of their signature style by sharpening the edges, tightening the melodies, and amplifying the scope with cinematic ambition. Haste The Day have clung to their integrity since initially emerging at the turn of the century. Following Burning Bridges [2004] and When Everything Falls [2005], Stephen made his formal debut as the group's frontman on Pressure The Hinges [2007]. The band unleashed a trio of fan favorite offerings, namely Dreamer [2008], the seminal Attack Of The Wolf King [2010], and Coward [2015]. The latter marked their second straight Top 20 entry on the Billboard Top Rock Albums chart and second Top 10 on the Hard Rock Albums Chart. Along the way, they toured with everyone from Hollywood Undead to Norma Jean. Despite going dormant in 2016, they amassed tens of millions of streams and continued to resonate with an ever-expanding audience. As such, their 2023 reunion gig at the sold-out Furnace Fest was met with overwhelming enthusiasm. Returning with their first full-length release in eleven years, the musicians tap into who they were and push forward together on their seventh LP, Dissenter [Solid State].

Fight From Within were founded in Upstate New York in early 2021. Their sound lands at the intersection of metalcore, hardcore, and beatdown. With deeply diverse influences ranging from Bury Your Dead, Polaris, Evergreen Terrace, Emmure, Invent/Animate, Every Time I Die, and Attila, they have crafted their own distinct sound.

In 2022, they began tracking new music with Pablo Viveros of Chelsea Grin. They have taken the stage at many key festivals, from Sonic Temple to The Gathering of the Juggles to Inkcarceration. The band is headed into 2026 like a freight train — all gas, no brakes.

Mayhem Drop Video for "Realm of Endless Misery" — WATCH

Black metal's most influential and legacy-defining entity emerges once again with their seventh studio offering, Liturgy of Death.

With this release, Mayhem reaffirm why they remain one of the most relentless pillars of extreme music. After more than four decades shaping the genre's evolution, the band now turns its creative gaze toward the inescapable presence of mortality.

Liturgy of Death explores the philosophy of mortality with stark, uncompromising clarity. The album presents death not as an ending, but as a universal law that touches all life and exposes the fragility of human existence. This impermanence becomes a call to live with full intensity, for every gain and loss ultimately falls back into the same silence. Echoing ancient philosophies, the album portrays life as a transitional state and death as a gateway to a higher form of being, while the solemn, dark beauty of death permeates the entire work.

Stream "Realm of Endless Misery" HERE.

Attila comments on the new track, "'Realm of Endless Misery' is the fourth single from the new Mayhem album and presents a state of human existence in which suffering is not an exception but a governing principle. The song portrays human life as a closed realm sustained by repetition, fear, and manipulation, where time itself becomes a mental trap and hope slowly drains from consciousness. It does not tell a story and offers no redemption. Through its mantra-like structure and cold, oppressive imagery, the track confronts the listener with the mechanics of misery, revealing a world in which destruction is not an endpoint but a permanent condition. Released as the third single in advance of the whole album, 'Realm of Endless Misery' deepens its unified dark vision and brings the listener one step closer to the final revelation."

The Gloom In The Corner Erupt With "Nope (Hollow Point Elysium)" Video

Erupting into 2026 ahead of the upcoming release of their third full-length album, Royal Discordance, due out February 27 via SharpTone Records, Melbourne's The Gloom In The Corner returns with a brand new single and accompanying visualizer "Nope (Hollow Point Elysium)."

A rhapsodic outing cleaving together sinuous verses and blistering dynamic shifts, "Nope (Hollow Point Elysium)" also hurls thematic pop culture nods deep into its core, emerging as a gripping and expansive step deeper once again into the Gloom Cinematic Universe.

"'Nope' is the ode to some of my favorite action movies and video games growing up," the band shares of their latest single. "A bullet ballet for metalcore that will — much like the definition of 'Hollow Point Elysium' — blow your head smooth off."

Watch the visualizer for "Nope (Hollow Point Elysium)" Below:

A record that could readily soundtrack an Anime epic, a Netflix smash series, or a sprawling open-world game, Royal Discordance is certainly not your average metalcore album. An action-packed opus hell-bent on sharp narratives and astonishing sonic dexterity, Royal Discordance journeys between an all-out onslaught (previous single "Assassination Run") through to cinematic-yet-sinister brutality on "Nope (Hollow Point Elysium)," grinning chaotic frenzy on "You Didn't Like Me Then (You Won't Like Me Now)," and a double closing sucker punch via the two-track suite "Love 1: A Quaver Through the Pale" and "Love 2: A Walk Amongst The Poppy Fields."

Insatiably showcasing their relentless pursuit for sonic evolution, and recorded in 2024 with producer Jonathan Delese in Nashville, Tennessee, Royal Discordance also ushers in some of Gloom's most universal songs to date, all while remaining true to their chaotic core in the process. Whether channeling My Chemical Romance and positivity or penning pit-splitting breakdowns, The Gloom In The Corner balance their tumultuous creative DNA with an album primed for multiple revisits; and one that devoutly treads new ground.

Over the years, The Gloom In The Corner have engineered a space for total sensory immersion via a series of releases, spanning their 2016 debut album Fear Me, through to their Homecoming EP (2017), Flesh & Bones (2019), Ultima Pluvia EP (2020) and their 2022 album Trinity, with the latter commanding a 5/5 star album review from New Noise Magazine, praising it as "a real stunner and a benchmark for metalcore going forward." Translating their rich sonic universe into a live setting, The Gloom In The Corner have dazzled stages around the globe, spanning Australia, Europe and North America, along with aligning a horde of elite collaborators including Fit For A King's Ryan Kirby, Fit For An Autopsy's Joe BadolatoCane Hill's Elijah Witt and many more.

Closing out 2025 in Europe supporting Swedish metalcore greats Aviana, The Gloom In The Corner will support American heavies King 810 nationally in Australia this March, and will also perform this October as part of the entirely sold out inaugural Hellbound Cruise alongside Parkway Drive, Polaris and more.

Vicious Rain Release New Single "Trading Hearts" Off of Upcoming Album "The Anatomy of Surviving"

Swiss modern metal outfit Vicious Rain return with their powerful new single "Trading Hearts," taken from the upcoming album The Anatomy of Surviving, set for release on March 13.

With "Trading Hearts," Vicious Rain sharpen their emotional edge even further. The track captures the tension between vulnerability and self-preservation, blending crushing heaviness with an intense, melodic core. It’s a song about emotional exchange, loss, and the scars that remain when connections turn transactional - a theme that fits seamlessly into the album’s overarching narrative of resilience and survival.

The band have built serious momentum leading into the album cycle. Previous singles "IKIGAI," "Spitting Blood Again," and "Silent Therapy" all proved to be standout successes, resonating strongly with fans and underlining Vicious Rain’s ability to fuse raw emotion with modern metal intensity.

"Trading Hearts" feels like the next logical step: darker, more focused, and emotionally uncompromising. As anticipation builds toward The Anatomy of Surviving, Vicious Rain continue to position themselves as one of the most compelling voices in contemporary heavy music.

Post-Rock Trio Jagged City Share "Ocean East, Ocean West" Video

Post-rock band Jagged City, featuring Jake Woodruff (Defeater) and Carlos Torres (former touring member of Explosions In The Sky) have unveiled their new single "Ocean East, Ocean West." This is the second single taken from their debut EP, There Are More of UsAlways, to be released on January 30 via Pelagic Records.

There Are More of Us, Always is a bold collection that moves between spacious, melodic guitar passages and raucous, swelling climbs. With heartfelt, melodious songwriting, a diverse range of eclectic touches buried within, and eruptions of dense, layered sound, this record delivers wonderfully balanced compositions through raw and personal production.

The project began as a cross-continental art experiment between Woodruff and Torres. What started as a simple exchange of ideas quickly found real shape through collaborative composition and thoughtful arrangement. Early sessions with David Haik helped refine the song structures and drum frameworks, setting the groundwork for what would become Jagged City's striking debut.

"We wrote with pure instinct, just tried to add something new to a genre that we love. As we traded ideas, we took some left turns and incorporated elements that may be unexpected," commented Woodruff.

When it came time to record, scheduling issues led to an inspired change of plans. Urian Hackney joined the project both behind the kit and behind the board, engineering and performing the drum parts that propel the record. In two intense days at The Box studio in Burlington, Vermont, Jake and Urian captured the core of the album with an immediacy and urgency that remain audible in every take.

Carlos recorded bass in Los Angeles alongside longtime musical colleague Michael James (Explosions In The Sky), while Jake added further guitar textures from his home studio, creating layers that thread the compositions together.

This debut is both a statement of intent and an open invitation: Jagged City offer music that rewards close listening and communal experience—an instrumental journey shaped by collaboration and a fierce commitment to feeling. While still post-rock, There Are More of Us, Always utilizes a diverse range of influence, giving a freshness to each uniquely realized track.

"This record is a product of collaboration and love and creativity - we hope it inspires people to be connected and think collaboratively and creatively together. That's the only way forward," concludes Woodruff.

Capsize Share "Under a Hollow Sky" Lyric Video

In late 2025, Capsize announced their return with "The Fracture," their first release since signing to Roux & Ruin Records

The band drops another new track — this time with "Under a Hollow Sky." Watch the lyric video below.

"With the release of this new single, we're opening another window into what we've been building without revealing the full picture just yet," says singer Daniel Wand. "Cody Stewart (Falling In Reverse, nothing, nowhere) helped bring the production to the finish line on this one, and we're excited about where things are quietly headed."

After several years of sporadic single drops, Capsize fans can look forward to a new physical release, on deck for 2026, with more details to be revealed shortly. The next release will be the band's first since A Reintroduction: The Essence Of All That Surrounds Me, which arrived in 2016 via Equal Vision Records.

There is even more to come from Capsize.

NECRONOMICON EX MORTIS Return With “Left To Die,” A Gore-Soaked Death Metal Stomp

Death metal maniacs NECRONOMICON EX MORTIS are back in full blood-drenched form with their new single, “Left To Die,” a crushing mid-tempo bruiser taken from the forth coming EP Zombie Blood Nightmare, arriving February 20, 2026.

“Left To Die” is a straight-ahead stomp fest rooted in classic 1990s death metal, drawing clear influence from the pit-driving grooves of OBITUARY. Built on thick riffs and head-crushing momentum, the track culminates in a ripping end-of-song guitar solo from former MEGADETH shredder Jeff Young, adding a sharp flash of old-school virtuosity to the carnage.

Lyrically, “Left To Die” keeps things simple and gloriously vile. The song tells the story of being abandoned in a gore pit, surrounded by blood and guts and facing an inevitable end. No metaphors and no apologies. Blood and guts are fun.

NECRONOMICON EX MORTIS return with a fiery vengeance on Zombie Blood Nightmare, a new EP that finds the band at their most unhinged. Across six blood-soaked songs, the band pushes hard to recapture the glory days of 1990s death metal, blending horror, violence, and undead absurdity into a relentless riff-driven assault. This is NEM fully committed to terror, stupidity, and the raw spirit of the genre.

“Left To Die” serves as a blunt and bloody introduction to what Zombie Blood Nightmare delivers in full. Heavy, grotesque, and unapologetic.

Mayhem Drop "Life Is a Corpse You Drag" Video

Mayhem, the defining pioneers of black metal return with their seventh studio album, Liturgy of Death.

With this release, Mayhem further solidify their standing as one of the most unyielding forces in extreme music. Now more than four decades into their career, they turn their focus toward the unavoidable presence of mortality.

Mayhem's Attila comments on the new track, "'Life Is a Corpse You Drag' is not a slogan, but a ritual and a realization. It names an ancient law: Consciousness as burden, the body as vessel, faith as a seal on a grave already closed. There is no comfort in this recognition but there is release. If we have been dead all along, there is nothing left to lose. What remains is pure energy: Movement without fear, presence without compromise, a victorious march into the final destruction."
