After releasing her 20-track Horseback (Deluxe) album earlier this year,  Leo33 rising singer/songwriter Jenna Paulette continues to tee up new music with the release of “High Noon,” available now. Paulette debuted the song at “The Academy of Country Music Presents: Whiskey Jam Welcome Party” last night ahead of the 61st ACM Awards. Listen Below.
 
“‘High Noon’ is a two-stepper that I’ve had, tucked away,” Paulette recalls. “When it was played recently for a small circle of people I trust, it became clear how special it was by the way they rallied around it, which tells me it’s time to share it.”
 
Written by Paulette alongside Jordan Reynolds, Jordan Minton and Mark Trussell, and produced by Will Bundy, “High Noon” underscores the state of peace and contentment that comes with a stable relationship.

“During the making of the Nick Menza film, I acquired several demo recordings of Nick playing various drum progressions. In essence, the introduction, verses & chorus of 'Bullets Ready' came from playing along to one of Nick's energetic grooves. During the So Far, So Good... So What! tour, it was often David, Nick & myself that would conduct the soundchecks. It was a surreal & nostalgic feeling to be playing along and writing riffs with my long, lost friend. Nick’s playing inspired so much of this song and his spirit is forever encapsulated inside this recording.”

Chicago's CURSED AWAKENING have unleashed their latest single offering, "Rest In Chains". Taken from their upcoming concept album Path Of A Soul, which follows a fresh born soul as it navigates its new existence, this track sees the creature distraught at the realization of having damaged its own future. 

In "Rest In Chains", having dissociated from the reality of the hellscape in which it inhabits, the protagonist has seen through its delusions and subsequently fallen into destructive tendencies. The creature has begun its dark descent following a path formed of anger and hate. 

CURSED AWAKENING power into life with unceasing ferocious heavy thrash riffs. This brutal bombardment aptly mirrors the highly intense narrative focus of the track. NARNIA's upcoming album, 'X,' marks the bands 30th anniversary and nearly three decades of unwavernig presence on the international metal scene.

While their previous release ‘Ghost Town’ (2023) reaffirmed the band’s melodic metal foundation, ‘X’ expands NARNIA’s sonic landscape. The album moves confidently between soaring, arena-ready choruses and more adventurous, progressive passages, without ever losing the band’s unmistakable identity.

“I received this song from Greaves along with the title and immediately was drawn to the melancholic sound”, Justin Storms reflects. “I remember when I first put on my headphones and listened to ‘Colder and Colder’. I started to hum a few melodies while listening to the song.”

Those early fragments quickly solidified into the song’s core lyrical motif. “It didn’t take long to write down some of the phrases that became the song’s verses,” Storms continues, “‘colder and colder, see your hand on my shoulder, colder and colder, see your eyes looking over’. I wanted to create a rhythmic sort of pattern with the song title and the vocal elements.”

Justin Greaves positions “Colder and Colder” as a bridge within Sceaduhelm. “Musically, ‘Colder And Colder’ is one of my favorites on Sceaduhelm. It’s the link between classic CBP style and the more austere dark pop aspect of how I write.”

The song’s title, which was selected from an existing list of ideas, crystallizes the mood. “Working with Storms on this song was a total victory”, Greaves says. “He’s an awesome vocalist and his lyrics really give it a chilling tragic story.”

Recorded between 2023 and 2025 across Chapel Studios in Lincolnshire, Kapsylen Studio in Stockholm, and House Of Foto in Louisville, Sceaduhelm was produced by Justin Greaves, mixed by Iver Sandøy at Solslottet Studio in Bergen, and mastered by Magnus Lindberg in Stockholm.

Within Crippled Black Phoenix’s wider catalogue, Sceaduhelm does not seek to resolve previous narratives or replicate past high points. Instead, it documents a moment of exposure and endurance, listening closely to what remains when spectacle fades and outrage exhausts itself. Amulets Announce "Rem(a)inders" EP + Share "Black Sheep"

Amulets, the project of Portland-based audio + visual artist Randall Taylor, has unveiled the new single "Black Sheep," the first taken from new EP Rem(a)inders, out April 10 via Pelagic Records.

Against a hazy analogue backdrop, ambient guitars reverberate and echo through the sonic landscape, creating a sensation of weightlessness that is both calming and unsettling. Melancholic and soaring, "Black Sheep" evokes a presence of isolation and longing in the emptiness. Via Doloris Release Luminous New Single “Un Franc Soleil”

Via Doloris is rooted in an inward journey rather than orthodoxy. Conceived in solitude and shaped by discipline, composer and multi-instrumentalist Gildas Le Pape (ex-Satyricon) traces a melodic, atmospheric and introspective path through black metal’s foundations on upcoming debut album Guerre et Paix. He’s joined by Frost, the legendary drummer of Satyricon and 1349, who provides a sense of persistence, grounded and unyielding.  

Today, Via Doloris are releasing the second advanced single from Guerre et Paix. Standing among the album’s most luminous moments, “Un Franc Soleil” captures a fleeting sensation of release after prolonged inner unrest. An atmospheric depiction of an illusion glimpsed from afar, the song evokes the distant promise of a life freed from struggle, a vision radiant yet never fully attained.

“Un Franc Soleil” captures Via Doloris at their most expansive and textural. The song unfolds in measured restraint; layered guitars trace gentle melodic figures across a patient rhythmic foundation.  Frost’s nuanced drumming anchors the gradual ascent of each chord progression, allowing melody to emerge from distortion and clarity from dissonance. Written in French, the lyrics carry vulnerability and resolve in equal measure, portraying serenity not as certainty, but as something only ever approached.

Within the broader architecture of Guerre et Paix, “Un Franc Soleil” functions as a threshold: a contemplative pause before the album returns to denser and more conflicted terrain.

Based in Oslo, Gildas Le Pape first gained attention in 2007 when he joined the legendary Satyricon as a guitarist. Over the next six years, he toured the world and contributed to the band’s recorded legacy, before stepping away to explore a broad range of musical directions. In time, this path led him back to extreme music, this time with a renewed creative vision and sharpened intent. In 2023, he invited his long-time collaborator, Frost — arguably one of the most accomplished drummers in the genre — to join him in bringing the debut release to life.

Mumbai's GUTSLIT Double Down on Brutality with “I, Berzerker”

Mumbai, India extreme metal force GUTSLIT return with their blistering new single “I, Berzerker”, marking the band’s first release since 2023’s Carnal and the beginning of a new chapter in their relentless evolution. Released independently, the track showcases a sharpened, ferocious sound that reaffirms GUTSLIT’s position as one of the most uncompromising bands in modern death metal.

“I, Berzerker” is a raw declaration of intent. Written as a defiant response to the notion of mellowing with age, the song captures GUTSLIT at their most primal and focused. The track draws inspiration from the myth of the Berzerker, the warrior consumed by battle rage, and reinterprets it as a metaphor for creative freedom. “I, Berzerker” also marks an important turning point for the band. LONG LOST CULT CLASSIC BY ARMAGEDDON IS CELEBRATING ITS 50TH ANNIVERSARY AND IS BEING REISSUED

Armageddon was formed in 1974, and their self-titled debut, Armageddon, released in 1975, was recorded in England and released in the United States on A&M Records. The albums' original liner notes use the term "supergroup", as their personnel were drummer Bobby Caldwell (previously a member of Captain Beyond), singer Keith Relf (who had fronted the band the Yardbirds and was a co-founder of Renaissance), guitarist Martin Pugh (from Steamhammer), and bassist Louis Cennamo (also formerly of Renaissance and Steamhammer).

This classic has now been remastered and repackaged in a beautiful gatefold on 180G Atomic Red Vinyl with additional photos and credits to celebrate the 50th Anniversary.  There is a Limited (100 copies) signed bundle that comes with a 10x10 print signed by all three-surviving members (Bobby Caldwell, Louis Cennamo, Martin Pugh). The song, produced by Matt Good (From First To Last, Asking Alexandria), twists melody and misery into one — a dark anthem that reminds everyone why people can't seem to look away.

"This song is about taking responsibility for everything in my life, even the things that are out of my control," shares Daniel Wand. "I've found holding myself accountable is the only way I've been able to make sense of the aftermath when things fall apart in any category of life. It's about feeling empty from it, and still trying to find some kind of light at the end of the tunnel by being candid about internal struggle. More than anything, I hope it connects with people who can find it relatable, who stuck in their own self-destructive cycles and helps them feel less alone in what they're going through and maybe taking on a similar route to process what they're are going through."

After several years of sporadic single drops, Capsize fans can look forward to a new physical release, on deck for 2026, with more details to be revealed shortly. The next release will be the band's first since A Reintroduction: The Essence Of All That Surrounds Me, which arrived in 2016 via Equal Vision Records.
