Blacktoothed Drops New Video

Blacktoothed have released their brand new single "Antidote." Watch the video below.

It's an atmospheric, melancholic track that captures the calm and the ensuing emotional storm both musically and visually in the accompanying music video (by Peter Leukhardt): A temporary inner emptiness that leads to the hope of escaping this familiar cycle sooner or later. With their unmistakable blend of melancholy depth and rousing sound, the band delivers another impressive foretaste of their upcoming album HEADWAY, which will be released on January 24.

"It would be too nice if there was simply an antidote for low moods. I think we've all wished for that at some point," comments guitarist and songwriter Matti.

"Antidote" was created in collaboration with the producer team Julian Breucker and Christoph Wieczorek.

Solence Release New Lyric Video For "Antidote" Taken From Forthcoming New Album '_hope is a cult_' Out February 17

Swedish electropop-metal quartet Solence has released a lyric video for their latest release, "Antidote". Speaking to the theme of seeking meaningful connection, the track is taken from their forthcoming new album '_hope is a cult_' out Friday, February 17 via Hopeless Records. Speaking on today's release, the band shares:

"'Antidote' is a song about wanting to feel more alive. We interact with more people on a daily basis than ever before, yet we’re still unable to create real connections and end up feeling alone. The perspective of "Antidote" is that we desperately seek a cure, or something, to make us feel better. The song starts slow and mysterious then breaks out into a big sing-along chorus. Raise your hands, ready your voices, and lets goooo!!!!"

Prior to "Antidote", Solence dropped visual accompaniments for "Rain Down", "Demons", "Blood Sweat Tears", and most recently "nuBlood" featuring Fame On Fire vocalist Bryan Kuznitz. Altogether, the visuals have amassed over half a million views on YouTube and counting. Watch the lyric video for "Antidote" below, pre-save '_hope is a cult_' here, and pre-order the album at the link here.

No matter where we come from, music draws us together and bonds us. For as much as SOLENCE sonically conjoin elements of metal, electronic, alternative, and pop, the Swedish group also appeal to an expansive swath of personalities with a universal message. Equally suitable for the mosh pit or Coachella, the band—Markus Videsäter [vocals], David “Viking” Vikingsson [drums], David Strääf [guitar], and Johan Swärd [keys]—rally around a familial energy meant to be shared as loudly as possible. After quietly generating north of 200 million streams and counting, they welcome everyone closer on their third full-length offering and Hopeless Records debut, _hope is a cult_, and more to come.

“We want to build up this family around positivity, hope, and the belief you can change things,” notes Markus. “We want you to forget everything that bothers you when you listen to this album. If we’re doing our job, audiences feel like they’re a part of it. When you go to a SOLENCE show, you have a good time, so hope is a cult for us.”

IMPURE WILHELMINA Shares Live Video for Song "Jasmines"

Post hardcore sludge band IMPURE WILHELMINA w are now releasing a brand new live video for the track 'Jasmines' which is taken from the band's latest offering 'Antidote.' The video was recorded during one of their live shows at the L'usine venue in Geneva in October 2021. Unfortunately, IMPURE WILHELMINA were forced to cancel their upcoming tour dates with SHORES OF NULL due to event restrictions and lockdowns in Europe, but more shows will be announced soon! In the meantime, you can watch the new video and get a glimpse of what to expect from their live shows below.

The band comment: "While waiting to finally get back on stage, we are proud to share with you this intense moment from the ‘Antidote’ release party last October at L'Usine, in our home town of Geneva. Jasmines is a very special track which we had the chance to play that night accompanied on piano by our brother, friend and former drummer David. This rare and emotional atmosphere was beautifully captured by Steven Blatter in a single sequence shot across the venue. We love the result and hope you will too. We’re really looking forward to getting back on the road to share moments like this. Unfortunately our European tour that was supposed to start this week had to be cancelled, but we are actively working on rescheduling it later this year. We'll see you soon, be sure

'Antidote' can be pre-ordered in various formats HERE.

Music heals the soul, as it always has. "Antidote" evokes this simple idea, illustrating the cathartic aspect of IMPURE WILHELMINA's 7th full length. It acts as a remedy against the darker sides of the human mind.

For 25 years, IMPURE WILHELMINA has been creating a singular music on the borders of rock and metal. The Geneva quartet has never been afraid to reinvent itself and to push back the stylistic barriers, without ever losing its strong identity. Intensity, melody, power and melancholy are the key words that guide the band's discography, shaping record after record a subtle blend of metal, post-hardcore, new wave and indie rock sounds.

IMPURE WILHELMINA has experienced many line-up changes over the years around Michael Schindl, singer-guitarist, main composer and lyricist. Founded in 1996, the group quickly built a reputation in the local, then Swiss and European independent scenes.

IMPURE WILHELMINA has regularly collaborated with sound engineers and producers Serge Morattel (I Can't Believe I Was Born In July - 2001, L'Amour, La Mort, L'Enfance Perdue - 2004, Prayers And Arsons - 2008) and Raphaël Bovey (Black Honey - 2014, Radiation - 2017). These five albums illustrate the constant musical evolution of the band, which from a very dark and metal base gradually incorporates more rock elements. The clear vocals occupy an increasingly important place in the compositions, reinforcing the intensity and melodic depth.

In 2015, thanks to the great response to Black Honey, IMPURE WILHELMINA  signed with the reference metal label Season of Mist, which published ‘Radiation’ two years later in 2017. Skilfully navigating between melodies and dissonances, always at the service of raw emotion, this sixth album was unanimously acclaimed by the press and the public, opening the doors to wider recognition.

After intensely touring all over Europe to promote ‘Radiation’, the band received great reward by being one of the four recipients of the 2019 grants for contemporary music awarded by the City of Geneva. This support has allowed Impure Wilhelmina to approach their new album with confidence and the will to develop their sound and get out of their comfort zone. The band put a lot of efforts in the elaboration and production of its new songs, notably by calling on Yvan Bing, producer and sound engineer, to accompany the four musicians throughout the creation process of the album. This successful collaboration began in the summer of 2019 and continued for over a year, giving rise to IMPURE WILHELMINA's seventh album, ‘Antidote’.

In the context of the pandemic that marked part of the recording of ‘Antidote’ and its long completion, this title also resonates in a very particular way. Welcome to this journey into uncharted musical lands.

IMPURE WILHELMINA Releases Third New Single, "Midlife Hollow"

IMPURE WILHELMINA will be releasing their seventh full-length, 'Antidote,' on May 21 via Season of Mist! The band is now sharing the brand-new track "Midlife Hollow" along with an accompanying music video, which was directed by Steven Blatter / Progressive Pictures.

The band comments: "‘Midlife Hollow' has always been one of our favourite tracks from 'Antidpte.' Musically speaking, it is rather atypical in its construction while remaining perfectly coherent with the band's universe. In an atmosphere both tense and melancholic, the song speaks of the loss of illusions, the extinction of the inner fire, the rise of bitterness, the settling into solitude and the awareness of the brevity of existence. We are confronted with an unalterable destiny that holds us in its iron hand, as evoked by the telluric finale of the track."

'Antidote' is due on May 21 and can be pre-ordered in various formats HERE.

IMPURE WILHELMINA Releases New Single, "Dismantling"

IMPURE WILHELMINA will be releasing their seventh full-length, 'Antidote,' on May 21 via Season of Mist! The band is now sharing the second single, "Dismantling," which can now be viewed in the form of a lyric video here.

The band comments: ''Built like a crescendo, this song evokes the war that each individual must wage against mediocrity, against ideologies, against the dismantling of the world, against guilt, against everyone, against himself. This war cannot be won, but the perpetual struggle makes it possible to never admit defeat, and to cultivate one's singularity, even if it means finding oneself alone facing the abyss. We are born to hurt each other.''

IMPURE WILHELMINA Reveals New Album Details, Shares First Single

IMPURE WILHELMINA will be releasing their seventh full-length, 'Antidote,' on May 21 via Season of Mist! The artwork, details, and tracklist can be found below. In conjunction witht he The album is set for worldwide release on May 21st, 2021. The first new chapter 'Gravel' can now be viewed, in the form of a music video, via the official Season of Mist YouTube channel HERE. The link may be freely spread throughout your platforms.

IMPURE WILHELMINA comment on the track: "'Gravel' is a hymn to human pain. It starts in a dark mood, continues with a tortuous verse and ends with a chorus that we can't help but sing along. And this is how one will fulfill one's destiny. Indeed, man's destiny is to sing his sorrow, in the howling wind, as he bends under heavy burdens, his feet in the mud, under the pale glow of sardonic stars. Directed by Steven Blatter, the video transcribes the turmoil induced by this cold fatality, in a sad, mineral and epic atmosphere."
