Grammy-Nominated Rock Institution Staind Share Video for New Single "Ghost" — WATCH

In the midst of a major moment sparked by a massive sold-out amphitheater tour, nearing half a million tickets sold, and unprecedented TikTok and social media virality, GRAMMY® Award-nominated, multiplatinum, and iconic Massachusetts rock band STAIND return with a hard-hitting and customarily haunting new single "Ghosts" out now via Alchemy Recordings/BMG.

Watch the video below.

It marks the group's first new music drop since 2023's chart-topping Confessions Of The Fallen. Once again, the quartet — Aaron Lewis [vocals, guitar], Mike Mushok [lead guitar], Johnny April [bass, backing vocals], and Sal Giancarelli [drums] — teamed up with producer Erik Ron [Godsmack, Bad Omens, Papa Roach] in the studio.

"Ghosts" opens with a chugging detuned riff punctuated by Mushok's signature harmonics. This deluge slips into the undertow of a stark verse pinned to April's ominous bass line and a head-nodding beat courtesy of Giancarelli. The groove quakes beneath Lewis' instantly recognizable vocals.

Distortion boosts an unshakable refrain, and the frontman laments, "Fading and failing…Ghosts that I've never found." Veering from one extreme to the next, the track alternates between a beautiful bridge and a bludgeoning last gasp powered by his guttural scream.

You could say "Ghosts" conjures the past, present, and future eras of STAIND all into one concentrated and cathartic burst of emotion and energy.

"We went down to Nashville for a writing trip with Erik," recalls Mushok. "We had gotten together, and I came up with the riff on the spot. From there, Erik and I put the track together in just one day and finished it up. Aaron listened to it a little later and did this really great vocal over it. 'Ghosts' ended up being a very dynamic song."

"It seemed like everybody had gravitated towards 'Ghosts,'" adds Lewis. "It's a little different, and it surprised all of us. It's got some heavy elements, but it's certainly melodic too. It’s definitely STAIND."

It also just heralds a whole lot more to come from STAIND very soon.

After selling out nearly every date of the first leg of the North American Break The Cycle 25th Anniversary Tour, the band will return to the road for round two in 2027.

Of course, they're celebrating 25 years of their breakout 2001 opus, Break The Cycle, which just picked up a 7x-Platinum Certification, logged three weeks at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 in the summer of its release, and spawned generational hits like "It's Been A While" and "Warm Safe Place." Thanks to a groundswell of fan support, the latter exploded on TikTok as 2026's most unexpected viral phenomenon, bringing the quartet's streams past the 1-billion mark this year!

STAIND have also sold out most of the vinyl variations of their live record, Break The Cycle (25th Anniversary Live). Get the remaining options HERE. [[ADD LINK]]

Produced by Live Nation, the 27-city date trek will feature special guests Seether and Hoobastank, joined by Hinder on all dates except Cleveland. The tour kicks off on March 6 at SNHU Arena in Manchester making stops in Pittsburgh, Dallas, Seattle and more before wrapping up in Cleveland at Rocket Arena on April 16. It's just the beginning, though. STAIND's next era begins with "Ghosts."

Mudvayne Drop ANOTHER New Track With "Sticks and Stones"

It's feast or famine!

A mere two weeks ago, '00s hard rock provocateurs MUDVAYNE — Chad Gray[vocals], Greg Tribbett [guitar], Ryan Martinie [drums], and Matthew McDonough [drums] — thrilled fans by dropping  their first new single in 16 years with "HURT PEOPLE HURT PEOPLE" via Alchemy Recordings. The song has already accumulated over half a millions streams and counting. Watch the visualizer and listen to the song here.

The band has shared ANOTHER new track. This time, they've issued "Sticks and Stones." Watch and listen via the visualizer here. The official music video is forthcoming.

While "HURT PEOPLE HURT PEOPLE" immediately clamped down on the jugular and was a primal scream return for the band, "Sticks and Stones" is a bit more measured in its ferocity. It showcases the band's mastery of quiet-loud dynamics and steadily escalates to an utterly monstrous breakdown.

"I was always told 'sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me,'" says Gray. "Well, it's a great nursery rhyme, but I couldn't disagree more. I've carried a lot of words throughout my life as if they were just spoken to me. The reality is — they do hurt. I've tried my best to shed them, but when they come from dear friends, family — people that are suppose to love you — the words have teeth and they won't let go. Blood doesn't wash out; iit stains. I think I'm just trying to remind people to love their children. Don't use them as a bullet to fire into your ex or whomever you're with now. They're innocent and they are impressionable. And trust me, as a child, that was used as a weapon, your words will hurt them...long after you say them."

The band has also launched a pre-order for a double A Side 7" vinyl featuring both songs. There will be a standard version, as well as a variant that is signed and limited to 500 units. Both are available exclusively through the band's webstorealongside a brand new merch capsule. Go here to get yours.

Additionally, there will be a variant available exclusively through Revolver.

Mudvayne are looking towards their future as they also celebrate their impactful past. The song arrives on the eve of the band's L.D. 50 25th Anniversary headline tour, which kicks off today, September 11, and runs through October 26. L.D. 50was the band's debut studio album, arriving in August 2000 via Epic Records and established the band as a new yet major player in the hard rock scene. It eventually went on to achieve a Gold certification. Years after its release, both Revolver and Metal Hammer deemed the album an essential of the '00s metal class, rightfully so. The tour will feature support from Static-X, while Vended will open. All dates are below. Get tickets here.
