Pagan Folk Band FAUN Shares New Single "Lady Isobel" + Visualizer

The Pagan Folk band FAUN are excited to release their new single, "Lady Isobel,"taken from their upcoming album, 'Hex,' due out on September 5th. The new single comes alongside a visualizer, available below.

“Lady Isobel” is a deeply personal ballad from vocalist Oliver Satyr. Accompanied by lute (Liuto Forte) and vocals, Satyr uses poetic imagery to tell the story of an enchanting woman seemingly trapped in the tower of her own loneliness. Enriched with flutes and synthesizers, the song once again showcases FAUN’s ability to craft a unique musical world, one that transcends genre boundaries with weightless beauty.

Oliver Satyr comments on the single:

"'Lady Isobel' has its source in one of my poems, which I wrote about a dear friend of mine. The lute accompaniment was inspired by the guitar playing of, for example, Nick Drake and Bert Jansch. Together with great vocals, flute playing, synthesizers, and rhythms of my band colleagues, 'Lady Isobel' has become a wonderfully floating ballad that I am very proud of.“

After being signed to Universal Music from 2012 to 2019, where they achieved gold and platinum success, FAUN released their first album on their own label, Pagan Folk Records, in April 2022. Titled 'PAGAN,' the album was met with enthusiastic praise from both press and fans, debuting at number three on the German album charts through a partnership with distributor Believe/Soulfood. Looking ahead, the band has announced plans to return to their musical roots with mystical, archaic folk and enchanted ballads on their forthcoming album, 'Hex,' set for release on September 5, 2025.

FAUN’s twelfth studio album 'HEX' explores themes of female magic, pagan myths, and ancient rituals across a variety of cultures. The title draws from the German word "Hexe" (witch) and the Old High German “Hagazussa,” meaning “one who walks between worlds.” The album focuses on pre-Christian legends from the Celtic, Anglo-Saxon, Germanic, Norse, and Turkish traditions, featuring stories such as Merlin and Nimue, Viking sacrificial rites (“Blot”), and ancient spells like “Ylfa Spere.”

Blending medieval instruments (hurdy-gurdy, bagpipes, lute, harp) with modern beats, synthesizers, and diverse global influences, 'HEX' showcases FAUN’s signature fusion of ancient and contemporary music. Collaborations include Turkish singer Fatma Turgut, Swedish musicians Daniel Pettersson and Daniel Fredriksson, and a darkly atmospheric feature with Chelsea Wolfe.

Pre-Order 'HEX' HERE

FAUN previously announced their World HEX Tour 2025, a journey that will take them across the globe, including stops in the USA, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Europe, and the UK. The band will also appear at some of the most prestigious festivals of 2025.

Knosis Unleash"Tanebi" Ahead of Debut Album "Genknosis" Out 8/1

Japanese metal juggernaut KNOSIS, the visionary project led by acclaimed multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Ryo Kinoshita, return with a blistering new single "TANEBI."

It's the latest offering from their forthcoming debut full-length album, GENKNOSIS, arriving August 1 via SharpTone Records.

Following the release of the pulverizing singles "FUHAI" (featuring Yukina of Hanabie), "SHINMON," and the emotionally raw "DOKUNUMA," "TANEBI" (translated as "Seed Fire") continues to build the firestorm around GENKNOSIS. Combining razor-sharp riffs, thunderous rhythms, and Kinoshita's signature blend of guttural intensity and haunting melody, the track captures KNOSIS at their most urgent and dynamic.

With each new release, KNOSIS are solidifying their place as one of the most compelling and forward-thinking voices in modern heavy music. GENKNOSIS promises a genre-defying exploration of spiritual tension, emotional collapse, and the will to rise.

Ray Hawthorne Announces New Album & Lets Loose On "And the Horse You Rode in On"!

Pop punk disruptor, Ray Hawthorne, has officially returned today with his latest single, "And the Horse You Rode in On", a revenge-fueled anthem that delivers grit, wit, and absolutely no closure. Blending heartbreak, sarcasm, and just the right amount of emotional stability, the new track marks the beginning of a new chapter as Ray Hawthorne also announces his sophomore record, "Ray Hawthorne Isn't Real", out on August 14th. Fans can pre-save the upcoming album HERE and pre-order the vinyl HERE.

Coming off his debut album "Ray Hawthorne Sucks" and a string of singles that blurred the lines between self-deprecation and self-destruction, "And the Horse You Rode in On" sets the tone for yet another brash, bold, and unfiltered era. Wrestling with identity, burned bridges, late night regrets, and the very real possibility that Ray Hawthorne is just a guy screaming into the void (and somehow making it sound catchy), "Ray Hawthorne Isn't Real" finds Hawthorne loud, petty and deeply cathartic.

With his heart on his sleeve as he nears the release of his sophomore record, Ray Hawthorne cuts through the noise:

"Have you ever been so pissed off that you wrote a whole series of songs and then deleted most of them because they included too much personal information about the person you were pissed off at but then one of them was actually pretty fun so you released it? No? Just me? Cool. Well. That’s my story. Listen to it if you want a first hand perspective on feeling like you’re getting back at someone but in all actuality you’re just pretending you’re both still cool with each other for some reason. Or just like… turn your brain off and have fun because I say the F word a lot in the chorus.

Renowned for his work in North Kingsley, the acclaimed project alongside Shavo Odadjian of System of a Down, Hawthorne initially captured hearts as the Heartbreak Hero with his inaugural solo release "Heartbreak Feels Good in a Place Like This". Building on his solo work, his debut record "Ray Hawthorne Sucks" further cemented his status as a bold new voice in pop punk, quickly amassing a devoted following and over 15 million streams across all streaming platforms for his magnetic charm and razor-sharp wit.

Picking up where his debut record, "Ray Hawthorne Sucks", left off, the upcoming sophomore record captures the raw energy of late-night confessionals and the polished punch of modern pop punk. "Ray Hawthorne Isn't Real" is an invitation to embrace the chaos, laugh at the pain, and maybe, just maybe, find a little redemption along the way.

Be sure to stay tuned for more Ray Hawthorne news coming very soon.

Fans can pre-save the upcoming album HERE and pre-order the vinyl HERE.

Surfaced Sign to 1126 + Announce "Where Angels Fear to Tread" EP + Share "Wasted in Hatred" Video

From the depths of Oldham County, Kentucky, SURFACED were born from the grit of local shows and the pulse of friendship. Formed in 2022, this young metalcore unit draws influence from across the heavy spectrum — deathcore, death metal, and early 2000s metalcore — channeling that chaos into something equally volatile and focused. What began as friends bonding in moshpits has quickly evolved into a touring force, with a reputation growing show by show, riff by riff.

Now signed to Massachusetts-based label 1126 Records, SURFACED are preparing to unleash Where Angels Fear to Tread, a six-track EP built on raw emotion and sharpened aggression produced by Dom Maduri (The Callous Daoboys, Mauled).

It is inspired by grief, confusion, rage, and the wreckage that drags us under — an honest reflection of what it feels like to be young and overwhelmed.

The EP arrives on August 15. Pre-order it here

Today, SURFACED share the video for "Wasted in Hatred," which explores quiet devastation through the loss of a beloved pet, turning sorrow into something unnervingly heavy.

Watch the video below:

"'Wasted In Hatred' is about the sadness I feel every day that I wake up," says vocalist JP Kane, pulling back the curtain on a song that addresses a very palpable and relatable sort of grief. "I wrote this song because my cat died while I wasn't home and it has haunted me every day."

The EP's atmosphere is matched by haunting visuals — Alexandre Goulet's artwork mirrors the music's layered darkness: Complex, grotesque, and beautiful in its decay.

The band is thrilled about its new label partner, saying, "We're stoked to be signed with 1126, the family there is great to work with, especially for a small upcoming band like us. They have faith in SURFACED as a whole."

While Where Angels Fear to Tread is the band's current focus, SURFACED are just as committed to the grind of the road. With two tours booked this summer and a slot at Memphis Pest Fest in the fall, they're set on getting loud in every city that will have them. For SURFACED, touring is not just a promotion cycle — it's the second half of the story.

And it's just getting started.

SURFACED ON TOUR:
WITH EIGHTEEN VISIONS + VOMIT FORTH:

Sowulo Embrace the Night on New Album 'NIHT'

For the past 15 years, Faber Horbach has traced our connection with the sun through the music of Sowulo, but his upcoming concept album, NIHT,  journeys into darkness. Written while grieving the loss of both his father and stepfather, lead single "Āsteorfan" ("To Die") is a meditation that, while filled with sorrow, finds that death is not a final resting place, but a portal into spiritual awakening.

Watch the video for "Āsteorfan" Below:

“Āsteorfan” marks a threshold in NIHT's conceptual journey through the subconscious, cycles of decay and spiritual teachings of the Moon. The song is grounded in ancient instrumentation and ritualistic textures. Nyckelharpa and carnyx merge with deep percussion and throat singing, creating a sonic terrain that feels both ancestral and sacred. The minimal yet immersive arrangement evokes the inner descent into silence and stillness, offering a moment of surrender that echoes far beyond the self.

The music video for “Āsteorfan” was filmed and directed by Jasper van Gheluwe. Color grading was done by Micky Huijsmans

Sowulo is the evocative musical work of Faber Horbach, blending the spiritual philosophy of ancient Northern Europe with the continuous cycles of the universe.

Through the use of a wide array of historical instruments, melancholic melodies, and philosophical lyrics in Anglo-Saxon, Sowulo crafts an immersive sonic landscape that invites listeners to embark on an inner journey.

Weaving together the sounds of instruments like the Carnyx, Nyckelharpa, Celtic Harp, Shaman drums, Blow horns, Irish Bouzouki, Taglharpa, Lyre, Viola and various traditional vocal techniques, Sowulo shapes its distinctive sound.

The name "Sowulo," meaning "Sun" in Proto-Germanic, reflects the essence of the music. As we circle the sun, we feel the cyclical nature of life: day and night, the four seasons, birth and death, and the eternal dance between decay and renewal.

SCARDUST Shares New Single “Touch Of Life I - In Your Eyes (Feat. Ross Jennings)" + Live Music Video

Today, the progressive symphonic metal band SCARDUST are pleased to share their new single “Touch Of Life I – In Your Eyes (Feat. Ross Jennings),” from their highly anticipated new studio album 'Souls,' out July 18th, 2025 via Frontiers Music Srl. The single is accompanied by a special live performance video of the full three-part saga “Touch of Life,”offering fans an exclusive first look at the entire epic suite.

SCARDUST comments on the new single:

'Touch Of Life' is a three-part musical trilogy that retells the story of Pygmalion - with a twist. It serves as an allegory for the life of an artist, or really anyone striving to become a better version of themselves. The song follows the greatest sculptor on Earth, who cannot find a woman he deems beautiful enough to be worthy of his craft - or his love. Eventually, he chooses to sculpt the most beautiful woman his imagination can conjure. He falls in love with his own creation and begs the gods to bring her to life. This is where the original myth ends - but for us, it’s just the beginning.

“We took the narrative in a new direction. As musical performers, we see ourselves as both the sculptor and the sculpture - constantly shaping ourselves, day by day, in pursuit of unreachable standards”, they continued. “It’s a process full of beauty, but also emotional weight. The full trilogy will be released as a live performance video on YouTube. In addition, the first part will be released as a single from the album.

“We’re especially excited to share this work with the incredible Ross Jennings (Haken), who performed in the original studio version and also joined us live - the very performance from which this video was recorded and filmed.”

Watch the Live Performance Video for "Touch of Life" Below!

SCARDUST’s early years saw their debut EP, ‘Shadow’ (2015), position them as a promising newcomer, while their first full-length LP, ‘Sands of Time’ (2017), cemented them as one of the leading progressive metal bands in Israel. SCARDUST rapidly rose to the top of the local metal scene, selling out shows and opening for the likes of Symphony X, Therion, and Epica. They soon expanded their reach, touring overseas and playing festivals and headline shows in Germany, China, and the UK, while continuing to dominate stages at home.

Despite the challenges of Covid-19, 2020 saw the release of their sophomore album ‘Strangers’ through M-Theory Audio, accompanied by seven self-produced music videos. Described by Dead Rhetoric as “captivating from start to finish,” ‘Strangers’ introduced a unique concept album built on complementary song pairs, earning strong critical and fan acclaim.

2022 started on a high note with the visit of folk star Patty Gurdy, who joined SCARDUST for a live show in Israel and filmed the band’s most viewed video to date, "Concrete Cages." The song, featuring a duet between Noa and Patty, tells a tale of mankind’s loss of connection with nature - culminating in a shocking twist.

That summer, the band headlined multiple shows across Europe, performing to packed arenas at Wacken Open Air and Dong Open Air. Testament’s Steve Di Giorgio, upon hearing the band from backstage, ran out front and watched the entire set, later describing himself as “mesmerized.” The year ended with the release of the dramatic one-shot video "Evolution of the Disney Princess – But She’s METAL," where Noa weaves through a high-energy metal arrangement of beloved Disney Princess songs in just three and a half minutes.

2023 saw SCARDUST release of "Game of Now," a cinematic piece set in a futuristic dystopian live show, play festivals and concerts across Europe and join power metal legends Blind Guardian on tour. The year culminated in the signing of a major multi-album deal with Frontiers Records – heralding the release of the highly anticipated album 'Souls.'

December 2024 saw the release of "My Haven" from 'Souls' followed by "RIP," "Unreachable," and "Dazzling Darkness." With 2024 being taken up with writing and recording 'Souls,' it wasn’t until early 2025 that they were able to announce that Ross Jennings (Haken) was guesting on the album and was to join the band for a headline show resulting in the epic "Touch of Life" video.

SCARDUST comments on the new album by saying:

’Souls’ is a deep personal journey for us, combining everything from intricate progressive elements to sweeping symphonic passages, anthemic choruses and epic choirs. This album is a milestone for the band. It contains the SCARDUST DNA while experimenting with different writing and composing methods, involving every single musician in the band, resulting in the creation of the next evolution of our sound and pushing the boundaries of what we can express through music.

“Thematically we’ve explored ideas of memory, belonging, loss, and the desire for connection, weaving in influences from different musical worlds, including orchestral, Mediterranean, and even Celtic sounds”, they added. “’Souls’ is our most ambitious album to date, incorporating SCARDUST’s signature technical musicianship, and featuring the Hellscore choir and a string quartet throughout the entire album plus guest appearances from some international top tier musicians like Ross Jennings (Haken), Ally Storch (Subway to Sally), a Turkish orchestra and the TLV orchestra. It’s bold, it’s emotional, and we hope it resonates deeply wherever it is heard.”

Pre-Order 'Souls' HERE

Alongside SCARDUST’s rise, Noa Gruman’s metal choir, Hellscore, has been gaining significant recognition. Known for their unique a cappella renditions of metal classics, they have collaborated with renowned artists and bands such as Epica, Therion, Amorphis, and Alestorm. Hellscore is also an integral part of SCARDUST’s sound, performing on all their albums and live shows.

Noa Gruman is also much in demand as a vocalist and the already-impressive list of her recent guest vocal appearances includes albums by Amorphis, Ayreon, Therion, Gloryhammer, Nino Helfrich and Orphaned Land.

If you are looking for the most fresh and innovative progressive album, ‘Souls’ is set to be a milestone for the genre.

SCARDUST are:

Noa Gruman – Vocals

Gal Gabriel Israel – Guitar

Aaron Friedland – Keyboards

Orr Didi – Bass

Whiskey Myers Return to the Road with New Band Baby & Top 40 Rock Single

Genre-defying band Whiskey Myers is officially back on the road tonight, June 23, picking up right where they left off after a brief hiatus in the What We Were Born To Do Tour as guitarist John Jeffers welcomed his second baby boy, with Ozzy Jak Jeffers joining the band family on June 18.

“There’s been a whole wide world out here waiting for you, my son! We love you,” shared Jeffers alongside the news of baby Ozzy’s arrival. “I know there was some confusion on the cancellations/postponed shows this week. Thank you guys for bearing with us!”

The return to touring also coincides with the band’s latest single, “Time Bomb,” exploding into the Top 40 of the Active Rock chart, further solidifying Whiskey Myers’ growing crossover appeal. Mawiza Release Unplugged Version of "Mamüll Reke"

Summoning thunderous tribal rhythms and indigenous instruments within the fields of modern metal has earned Mawiza recognition from the Chilean Grammys and respected elders like Mercyful Fate, Mastodon and Slipknot. But this band of modern day warriors are still a force of nature when paired down to their rawest form.

Today, Mawiza are releasing an unplugged version of the latest single off the band's upcoming third album ÜL. Though stripped bare, "Mamüll Reke" still stands in towering defense of their ancestral land.

"Like other songs from ÜL, 'Mamüll Reke' was written in a way that everything could be reduced to melody and kültxung, the Mapuche drum", says Mawiza's vocalist and guitarist Awka. "The melody and lyrics are strong enough to guide the song on their own".

Watch the video for the unplugged version of "Mamüll Reke" below:

ÜL comes out July 18 on Season of Mist.

UNÉN Announces Debut Album 'Forever Winter' Set for Release on August 29, 2025 via Frontiers Music Srl

Finnish melodic metal band UNÉN IS thrilled to announce the release of their debut album, 'Forever Winter,' set for release on August 29, 2025, via Frontiers Music Srl.

The track “Black Heart” is available today, along with an accompanying official video.

Vocalist Stina Girs talked about writing the new song:

“'Black Heart' was the first song I was given to shape with lyrics and vocal melodies, and it instantly resonated with me. The title had been echoing in my mind for a while, and the moment I heard the music, I knew - this was it. The song dives deep into the darkness of a toxic relationship, one ruled by manipulation and control at the hands of a narcissist. But at its core, the song is about reclaiming your strength. It’s the breaking point - the moment you rise, take back your power, and refuse to be broken”.

Talking about the album, the band said,

“'Forever Winter' began to take shape in the spring of 2023, marking a real turning point for us with the arrival of our lead vocalist, Stina Girs. At the time, we had a handful of instrumental tracks in progress - including an early version of what would become 'Black Heart' - but when Stina started working on the material, her passion and emotional depth brought everything to life.

“The creative energy between us took off, and with multiple composers in the band, the songs came together quickly. Musically, the album moves through driving melodic rock, cinematic progressive metal, and moments of haunting stillness - tied together by Stina’s powerful, expressive voice”, they added.

UNÉN continued:

“Lyrically, 'Forever Winter' is deeply personal. Stina poured her own lived experiences into every song, transforming pain into melody and storytelling. Each track is a chapter in a journey of catharsis, resilience, and rebirth. Over the following year, we focused on shaping the sound and capturing the heart of the album - an intense but rewarding process that led to our signing with Frontiers Music, who believed in our vision from the beginning. Now, 'Forever Winter' is ready to meet the world, and we couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve created.”

Watch the Music Video for “Black Heart" Below:

Hailing from Helsinki, Finland, UNÉN is a modern melodic metal band whose music also incorporates elements ranging from progressive to pop, blending intensity with sensitivity in its sound.

UNÉN was originally founded in late 2021, laying the foundation for the band's musical style. In 2022, UNÉN focused on composing and refining production independently, resulting in the release of two self-published tracks. However, after a rollercoaster year, there was a need to change the lineup to accelerate production.

The word "UNÉN" was derived from the band's original idea that lyrics would be based on the world of dreams. However, due to lineup changes, this concept took a different direction, but the name remained.

At the beginning of 2023, there was a shift in UNÉN's lineup due to the change of lead singer, which notably accelerated all activities. The band members coming together was a series of fortunate coincidences and determined searches, including encounters with old acquaintances. The right people had found each other.

In May 2023, UNÉN released their first single, “Made Of Stone (cover)” with new lead singer Stina Girs, who rose to national attention after placing 5th in the Finnish TV show “Idols” in 2010. She later signed a solo contract with Sony Finland, releasing two Finnish-language albums.

Inspired by the sound of Evanescence, the current lineup of UNÉN showcases their unique identity and creative direction. The band has since focused solely on original compositions, with each member contributing equally to the creative process. Bound together by their passion for music, despite having completely different day jobs, UNÉN stands out for its collaborative spirit and emotionally rich sound.

MOTHS' upcoming album, 'Septem,' is a visceral journey through the Seven Deadly Sins, with each track embodying a facet of indulgence, obsession, and self-destruction—from the corrosive jealousy of "Envy" to the insatiable hunger of "Gluttony" and the rage of "Wrath." The album plunges listeners into a dark, immersive experience where desire spirals into chaos.

Diving deeper into heavier territory, MOTHS fuse elements of Death and Black Metal with their signature blend of Progressive, Psychedelic, Doom, and Stoner Metal, crafting a sound that’s both aggressive and atmospheric.

'Septem' was recorded in just five days at Romaphonic Studios in Buenos Aires, capturing the raw energy and inspiration of the setting. It also marks the debut of vocalist Mariel Viruet, whose range spans from haunting melodies to visceral screams.

The album was mixed by Walter Chacón (Los Fabulosos Cadillacs) and mastered by Jens Bogren (Opeth, Katatonia, Between the Buried and Me) at Fascination Street Studios in Sweden.

On the album, Weslie Negrón reflects:

"'Septem' is our most ambitious effort to date. From traveling to another country to record it, to the addition of a new vocalist, and creating it all amidst a world in turmoil—it's incredibly rewarding to finally see it out there. This album contains some of my favorite songs we've ever written as a band. You can feel our chemistry in these tracks, how we came together to make them happen, without any boundaries or 'rules' about how songs should be written. It's an intriguing, unpredictable, and unconventional album, one that I'm sure will feel like a fresh sound to everyone who hears it."

ABOUT SWOLLEN TEETH

The sound, the look, the atmosphere, the lore. Swollen Teeth are as much a ritual as a performance, summoning primal ferocity in clouds of intrigue with a thundering rumble. Each musical outburst arrives shrouded in mystery, enveloped by a sense of dread, with passion and purpose. Heavy percussion, riffs, punk gang chants, dive bombs, turntables, breakdowns, shrieks, guttural screams, and powerfully unashamed anthemic melodies coalesce in Swollen Teeth. The collective absorbs the raw intensity of the most potent subculture and spits it back with a determined uniqueness. They’ve spent countless hours in the lab, lobbing out occasional missives online like Molotov cocktails. Each of the scattered, chopped-up, and explosive clips unleashed to the world, culled from a handful of shadowy live appearances, built anticipation for the group’s inevitable ascension. They travel in our dimension but are not of it. This is otherworldly chaos without apology.

Swollen Teeth burst onto the scene in 2021 with their self-titled EP, a visceral blend of brutality and raw emotion that garnered praise from heavy music outlets and fans alike. Singles "EMPTY", "LETHAL" "CAR CRASH" and "SWOLLENTEETH" showcased their unpredictable, frenetic energy, which Revolver Magazine described as "brutal as hell." with Metal Hammer enthusing that "there’s an air of grotesque nu metal nastiness that feels like a re-vamped take on the misanthropic nihilism of Iowa’s finest." and Kerrang! musing "What's really heavy, masked, mysterious, sounds like it was made by complete lunatics, and involves Slipknot DJ Sid Wilson and producer Ross Robinson?."

DANKO JONES - ANNOUNCE 12th STUDIO ALBUM LEO RISING

Toronto’s hardest‑working power trio, DANKO JONES, roar back with LeoRising, an eleven-track masterclass in sweat-soaked, no-nonsense rock ’n’ roll. The album – produced to red‑hot perfection by long‑time collaborator Eric Ratz – lands on 21 November 2025 via Perception - A Division of Reigning Phoenix Music and  Sonic Unyon (for Canada). Pre‑orders, limited‑edition vinyl variants, and special merch bundles are available today at https://dankojones.rpm.link/leorisingPR

Following the rabid reception to opening salvo "What You Need" and party‑starting anthem "Everyday Is Saturday Night”, LeoRising turns the dial past eleven with razor‑sharp riffs, thunderous rhythms and fist‑pumping hooks. Guitar legend Marty Friedman (MEGADETH, CACOPHONY) makes a blistering guest appearance on future single “Diamond in the Rough,” while other stand‑outs – from the priapic swagger of “Hot Fox” to the roof‑rattling “It’s a Celebration” – prove DANKO JONES are keeping rock alive by doing it better than anyone else.

I like the routine of recording, touring, writing, repeat - I can do that till I’m dead,” grins front‑man Danko Jones and adds “It may sound boring, but it’s so hard for a band to achieve. I don’t take this lightly. Also, it’s a page out of the Motörhead handbook so it works! LeoRising is another serving of peerless hard‑rock: bass, drums, guitar, vocals, no frills. Roll the windows down and crank it.”

John Calabrese laid down bass tracks from Finland, Rich Knox flew to Toronto to record drums, and Danko worked with producer Eric Ratz in the same city to capture vocals and guitars. Despite recording separately once again, the band’s chemistry is unmistakable. The result is pure DANKO JONES: tight, loud, and built for the stage. Leo Rising may be their most electrifying and uplifting record yet — a jolt of high-octane rock made for packed clubs, open highways, and everything in between.

Proving that their time was well-spent, Danko, bassist John Calabrese and drummer Rich Knox have conjured yet another blazing banquet of nourishing rock goodness on their 12th studio record, due for release later this year.

RAMONDA Shares New Single "Bad Girl" + Music Video

Today, Argentinian singer SANTIAGO RAMONDA is proud to share his new single “Bad Girl,” along with its accompanying official video, taken from his upcoming debut album ‘The Walls Are Crumbling Down,’ out on July 18th via Frontiers Music Srl.

SANTIAGO RAMONDA describes the new single:

’Bad Girl’ is a song that allows you to explore darkness and seduction in a particular way. The lyrics reflect my fascination for women who are not afraid to be themselves, who don't stop at anything, and who live life on their own terms. The music is a perfect blend of rock and sensuality, with a rhythm that makes you want to move and sing.

“As a composer, I'm proud to be able to capture all that intensity. This track envelops you in an atmosphere that makes you feel pure adrenaline. It's a song that makes you feel alive, that makes you want more. And that's exactly what I'm looking for with my music: for the listener to connect with it, to feel part of it, and to feel alive!”, he added.

Watch the Music Video for “Bad Girl" Below:

Frontiers Music Srl is pleased to present the upcoming debut album from RAMONDA, the first solo release by the brilliant Argentinian singer SANTIAGO RAMONDA.

RAMONDA had already caught the attention of the melodic hard rock scene with Stormwarning's debut album, and he's back again—this time under the direction of Serafino Perugino, president of Frontiers Records—to prove his immense vocal talent, crafting an album of melodic rock gems!

SANTIAGO started as a guitarist and then became a singer, developing his skill primarily through practice and self-knowledge. Although he has received valuable advice and guidance from some experts, including Iván Sencion, his growth as an artist has been largely self-directed.

In 2020, as a result of a cover of Joe Lynn Turner's “Prelude/Endlessly” published on his YouTube channel, SANTIAGO began to catch the attention of some players in the global melodic rock scene. Guitarist Stuart Smith (Heaven & Earth), whom the label has a long relationship with, shared SANTIAGO's YouTube videos with the label.

'The Walls Are Crumbling Down' is a solid album, showcasing songs with big choruses, a wide range of vocal arrangements, and SANTIAGO's tone—striking a perfect balance between vocal extension and a warm, bluesy digression (with “Blue Heart Of Stone” being a clear example)—alongside amazing guitar work by Suraz Sun, guitarist for Girish And The Chronicles.

Describing the album, RAMONDA added:

“This album is a battle cry for all those who love rock and refuse to let it die. With this album, we want to keep the flame of classic hard rock alive and take it to new places. For all those fighting to keep the spirit of rock alive, this album is a message of hope and resilience. And to see my name on that banner is a dream fulfilled, an honor that drives me forward with passion and dedication. I especially want to thank having had the opportunity to work with Alessandro Del Vecchio, a great honor for me that has enriched this project in an invaluable way. We will keep on rocking, and with you, we will take it to the top again!”

Songs like “The Walls Are Crumbling Down” and “Don't Look For Love” are just a taste of the many great tracks featured on the album!

Irish Emo Duo GREYWIND Announces New Album ‘Severed Heart City’ Out September 19th via FLG

Today, the Irish emo duo GREYWIND is excited to announce their cinematic new album,‘Severed Heart City.’ The album will be released on September 19th via FLG. Having heralded the start of a new era earlier this year with epic cuts, ‘Acid Rain’ and ‘I.K.A.M.F.’, the brother-sister duo have announced their second full-length alongside the release of another arena-ready anthem, which will also appear on the record, titled ‘Waterfall.’ The new single is accompanied by a music video, available below.

Guitarist Paul O’Sullivan comments:

'Waterfall' is about hopelessly wanting someone to love you, but getting absolutely nothing in return and waking up to the fact that they couldn’t care less about you. Recording this song felt like a massive moment in our career - it’s dark, cinematic, and has everything we love about music in it.”

Getting to this point has been more than a rollercoaster for GREYWIND, whose debut album ‘Afterthoughts’ was released in 2017 via a major label who promptly dropped them despite the band’s ultra-promising “Ones To Watch” status. They’ve gone on to stoke their own creative fire and herald an avid fanbase with a Tik Tok surge during lockdown, an EP released by Version III last year (‘Antidote’), tours and festival appearances across the UK, Europe and North America, and now a partnership with FLG. ‘Severed Heart City’ is both the culmination of and the soundtrack to that journey, taking in all the twists and turns in the siblings’ story, both personally and professionally, along the way.

Steph and Paul O'Sullivan comment on the new album:

’Severed Heart City’ is an extended allegory for the stages of trauma, and one’s inner struggle to find resolution. There are many roads that lead to the heart of this broken city, but there is only one bridge out – one of acceptance and hope. Our band was created after the suicide of our uncle and since then we’ve been on an intense journey of achieving some of our biggest dreams to then having everything ripped away from us. ‘Severed Heart City’ is a place where it’s ok to be sad, depressed and feel like the whole world is against you but it’s also a place where you make sure none of those things ever make you give up on yourself or your dreams. Only you can save yourself.”

It’s no surprise to hear that GREYWIND are inspired by great emo pop originators like Jimmy Eat World, Fall Out Boy and My Chemical Romance, with the duo’s flair for the dramatic and knack for an earworm melody resulting in an album filled to the rafters with anthems. These are songs you can imagine ringing out from the biggest of stages and being sung back at the band by rapt audiences all over the world. Envelope yourself in GREYWIND’s ‘Severed Heart City.’
