VOÏVOD Launches New Single “The End Of Dormancy (Symphonique)” + Visualizer

After more than 40 eventful years of existence, Canada's progressive sci-fi metal innovators VOÏVOD return with ‘Symphonique,’ a special live release together with the Quebec Symphony Orchestra, set for release on June 5, 2026, worldwide via Century Media Records.

‘Symphonique,’ which functions like an epic piece of cinema, showcases VOÏVOD’s pioneering futuristic metal with the strains of a symphony orchestra, and features a carefully curated VOÏVOD best-of setlist composed of 12 songs across 73 minutes, recorded live on June 4th, 2025, at the Grand Théâtre in Québec City, Canada.

The next appetizer for ‘Symphonique’ can now be heard online via DSP’s with the launch of the second single “The End Of Dormancy (Symphonique),” alongside an official visualizer curated by Cloud Motion Design, available to view below.

“This live album with the Quebec Symphony Orchestra is a longtime dream turned reality. Thankfully, we will experience it again in 2027 with the Orchestre Symphonique du Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean, right in the region where VOÏVOD formed back in 1983. We wish to take this show across the globe with local orchestras one day, but in the meantime, I hope you will enjoy this epic release. It’s the closest we’ve ever come to sounding like a dystopian sci-fi movie soundtrack, another dream of ours!”

VOÏVOD’s guitarist Daniel “Chewy” Mongrain shares the following about the second single "The End Of Dormancy (Symphonique)”:

“This one is very special to me. I wrote the riffs imagining Roman naval battles with a full orchestra, like the movies from the 50’s and 60’s. It has a very dramatic vibe. Little did I know that what we synthesized for a four-piece band would eventually explode into its primary, original imagined form. It’s one of the most orchestral pieces on the album, and I remember vividly the crowd’s reaction after the grand finale, it was one of these rare life’s perfect moments. I’m very grateful for that incredible experience.”

Symphonique' follows the release of VOÏVOD’s latest Juno Award-winning studio album,'Synchro Anarchy' (2022), which reached #7 on the official album sales charts in Germany, #64 in Switzerland, #67 in Austria, and #88 in the Netherlands upon release. Melodic Metal Pioneers NARNIA Release New Single "Jerusalem" + Official Music Video

NARNIA's upcoming album, 'X,' marks the band's 30th anniversary and nearly three decades of unwavering presence on the international metal scene.

While their previous release ‘Ghost Town’ (2023) reaffirmed the band’s melodic metal foundation, ‘X’ expands NARNIA’s sonic landscape. The album moves confidently between soaring, arena-ready choruses and more adventurous, progressive passages, without ever losing the band’s unmistakable identity.

Songs like “Oceanwide,” “Every Breath,” and “Heaven’s Calling” showcase NARNIA’s gift for strong hooks and uplifting melodies. At the other end of the spectrum, the high-energy “Remedy (SOS)” pushes the tempo to new heights, while tracks such as “God Under Fire”and “Jerusalem” explore more intricate arrangements and progressive textures.

REPENTANCE Announce New Album Retaliate Unleash Crushing Title Track as First Single!

Chicago metal outfit REPENTANCE has announced their upcoming third full-length album Retaliate, set for release on July 17th, 2026 via Noble Demon. Alongside the announcement, the band has unleashed the record’s title track as the first single, offering an intense glimpse into what promises to be their most hard-hitting and focused release to date.

Formed in 2018 by guitarist Shaun Glass (ex-Soil, Dirge Within), REPENTANCE have steadily carved out a name for themselves in the modern metal landscape with a sound built on groove, heavy riffs, technical precision, and unrelenting intensity. Emerging from the Chicago scene, the band quickly gained traction on the live circuit, sharing stages with acts such as Trivium, DevilDriver, Jinjer, Sacred Reich, and Toxic Holocaust, among others.

Their debut album God For A Day (2020) received strong critical attention, leading to a worldwide signing with German label Noble Demon in 2021. This partnership marked a new chapter for the band, beginning with the EP Volume I - Reborn (2021), which introduced vocalist Adam Gilley and featured a guest appearance from Trivium guitarist Corey Beaulieu.

In 2023, REPENTANCE followed up with their sophomore album The Process of Human Demise, a record that further solidified their reputation for blending groove metal intensity with modern thrash precision. Produced by Alex Lackner and mixed/mastered by Chris Collier, the album also featured guest contributions from Corey Beaulieu and Milo Silvestro (Fear Factory), drawing comparisons to genre heavyweights such as Pantera and Lamb of God.

Now, with "Retaliate", the band push their sound even further. Once again produced by Alex Lackner at Accelerated Sound, the record was mixed by Ari Mihalopoulos at Inner Light Studio - a pairing that brings both familiarity and a fresh sonic perspective to the band's most aggressive material yet. The album arrives with punishing groove and nonstop aggressive hooks, pushing the band's sound forward while staying rooted in the intensity that has defined them since day one.

"I wrote 'Survivor' while looking back at times of struggle and loss in my life," states singer Jonathan Norris. "I realized that those experiences made me who I am today. We want our fans to know that whatever life puts in your path, you can overcome."

Bassist Aaron Smith shares, "'Survivor' is an anthem for all of humanity. Whether it's big or small, we all have challenges in our lives. Optimism is the key for getting through the storms that life brings our way. With a positive mindset and a fighting mentality, we can all be 'Survivors.'"

Kingdom Collapse originated out of the childhood friendship between aforementioned vocalist Norris and Smith, who grew up together, found music around the same time, and recognized its power after Jonathan endured the loss of his father at eight-years-old.

In order to cope, he immediately retreated into music and the embrace of a small community — which included Aaron's family. This was the turning point where both boys realized the power of friendship, the power of music, and their potential together. "I saw my father die right in front of my eyes," Jonathan sighs. "I didn't even know what was happening. In some ways, that darkness has never left. Music became my light. I connected with it, and it gave me hope for the future. Kingdom Collapse is a band that carries that torch."

Jonathan and Aaron each made the rounds in local bands and even collaborated a few times on short-lived projects. When they finally joined forces in Kingdom Collapse, it was as if everything they'd gone through as friends prepared them to make a statement together.

Jonathan tapped Aaron to play bass, and they rounded out the lineup by welcoming guitarist David Work and drummer Gaston Flores into the fold. Their quiet and devoted grind paid off when their breakout track "Uprise" resonated on a global scale, gathering 5 million-plus Spotify streams and bulldozing the way for 2022's independent Unbreakable EP. The latter housed their biggest single to date "Unbreakable," which has generated north of 11 million Spotify streams and hit No. 1 on Octane. Unafraid to put in the work, the four-piece didn't bother with day jobs and went all-in on music, hitting the road for hundreds of shows a year. They shared stages with everyone from Three Days Grace and Nothing More to From Ashes To New, Fire From The Gods, ATTACK ATTACK!, and Adelita's Way.

In 2025, they caught the attention of Mascot Records and inked a deal with the label. Now, Kingdom Collapse hold nothing back on their new single.

"Epigrama" articulates the philosophical nucleus of Erdve’s new album. Where "Nyra" traced the suffocating cycle of unresolved grief and "Ydos" charted the corrosive progression of regret into stagnation, the title track turns toward accountability. Every decision, or absence of decision, carries an unavoidable debt. The band’s new single moves through the confines of understanding toward a point where clarity and madness become indistinguishable, framing entropy as a governing moral condition.

ERDVE is a metal band from Vilnius, Lithuania, experimenting with extreme music since 2016.

In 2017, the band signed a record contract with SEASON OF MIST records, who later released their debut album VAITOJIMAS (translated as: Moaning). The album has set a strong foundation for the band to keep pushing the limits of creativity within the framework of heavy, yet atmospheric metal iterations.

Their second album SAVIGAILA (translated as: Self-loathing) was released by Season of Mist in 2021, and has presented a different and more abrasive approach towards composing and storytelling, focusing on the intensity, unpredictability and drama.

The band is known to dive into unexpected ventures by choosing to perform in places that intuitively seem incoherent to the type of music being played or are not considered to be regular venues. First such show took place in the church of St. John's 2019 and another one in Lukiškės Ex-Prison, both in Vilnius, Lithuania.

After the second album, the band took some time to rediscover their relationship with music and identified the elements that would convey their future vision in the most truthful way. This idea is followed by their 2026 release - EPIGRAMA, that delivers a familiar, yet a fundamentally different approach towards experimenting within the confines of heavy music and reflective storytelling. The goal was to craft a meticulous consistency between the music, lyrics and sound production, where every aspect of the song works together to create meaningful impact. This album marks a new beginning for ERDVE, in the process of rediscovery, experimentation and raw expression.

Born from the ashes of a life derailed - years of relentless touring, addiction, and the stillness of a pandemic that forced reflection – ‘Receptivity’ is both a lifeline and a rebirth. Created alongside longtime collaborators Michael Ticar and Mike Tompa, and mixed by Sam Guaiana (Bayside, Neck Deep, Against The Current), the album took shape during Biro’s earliest days of sobriety. It’s not just a return - it’s a declaration. Brutally honest, emotionally charged, and rooted in redemption, ‘Receptivity’ stands as a testament to survival, accountability, and the strength to rebuild when everything falls apart.

Originally a moniker for Biro, SELFISH THINGS released their debut EP ‘Vertical Love’ (A Wolf at Your Door Records) produced by James Paul Wisner (Paramore, Underoath, Dashboard Confessional). The release earned the attention of BBC Radio 1’s Dan P. Carterand earned the band a 2017 cover spot on Spotify’s New Noise playlist.

Their 2019 debut LP ‘Logos’ (Pure Noise Records) produced by Drew Fulk (Knocked Loose, Beartooth, Lil Peep) landed the band on multiple Billboard charts before the COVID-19 pandemic cut the album cycle short, forcing the band into hiatus.

In the years since, Biro and bandmate Michael Ticar have collaborated with Juno Award–winning producer Mike Tompa, writing music born from the tail end of addiction and carried into sobriety.

Now four years sober and working in peer support within the touring community, Biro says the band’s return feels less like a comeback and more like a reckoning - a chance to speak plainly about addiction, mental health, and the danger of freezing people at their worst moments.

‘Receptivity’ is a triumph of the human experience. It is a story of a man who understands the depths of his own shadow, unafraid to face the thunder of his past. In a society obsessed with division and virtue signalling, the three friends have created something inextricably tied to challenging the status quo. An album meant to tell the story of a man willing to stand in front of the world and acknowledge his brokenness and its impact without blame. A man tired of division and anger. A man who is changed for the better.

“This wasn’t supposed to be an album. It’s still not really an album to me, or to any of us. More just… closure, I guess. I was at the beginning of my full-blown addiction on the last tour we ever did before COVID stopped the world in 2020. I hated myself and I hated the world more than I really knew at the time. I’m four years sober on the 18th of May, working as a sober coach and clinician with folks who struggle with the same things I do, even in my recovery. The profits will be donated to the hospital where I went to rehab, and (admittedly), we don’t really know where to go (or if we’ll go anywhere with it) afterward.”

“The only thing that’s brought me peace in the aftermath of the cataclysm of my addiction is being of service to others. I think deep down, releasing this for whoever needs to hear it is an extension of that. Everything beautiful blooms from the mud. Everything beautiful grows from the dirt”, he added. “This is for those who can accept that the things they’ve been through can either be the poison cup they sip from or the counterweight that lifts themselves and others up. That being imperfect is being human. And that suffering is singular, and universal.”

That momentum translated directly to the stage. A sold-out 18-date UK headline tour established the band as one of the country’s most exciting live acts, followed by a European run that saw them sell out shows across eight countries — road-testing new material that would ultimately shape what came next.

The Iron Roses Announce New Album "Molotov Nights" Out 8/6 + Share "Dead Eyes"

Today, the band, previously lauded by SPIN for being "more ambitious both musically and thematically than most artists choose" and by New Noise as "a great fucking listen," are sharing their new single "Dead Eyes." Listen below.

"'Dead Eyes' is an unyielding statement that shines a light on the bottom line of war: Money," states Natasha Gray. "Greedy billionaires have always seen the working class as expendable pawns. In the words of Tupac Shakur: 'They got money for wars, but can't feed the poor,' and it is time to stand up and firmly demand that the financial rewards of our hard labor be used to enrich, feed, and care for our world, not destroy it. 'Dead Eyes' insists that silence is no longer an option, and drives that point home with deliberate intention, speaking to global atrocities happening around us, right now."

About the album as a whole, Becky Fontaine says, "Molotov Nights is a collection of anthems we poured every bit of our rage and frustration into, taking care to swaddle it in defiant joy and affirming hope. When we wrote this album, we set out to create protest punk that still honored autonomy, humanity, and compassion, and as we moved through our collective grief while bearing witness to new horrors of the world in our news feed every single day, an undeniable frenzy took over."

Fontaine continues, "What came together over the last two years of writing are 10 songs that take the backbone of our sound and make space for more rage, more vulnerability, more defiance, more romancing of the human experience, and more celebration of self. Molotov Nights is a love letter we tucked into the pockets of our community as we link arms and push forward in our resistance — one that we hope will become lovingly worn at the edges from being pulled out to read, re-read, and chant along to on the darkest of nights when hope feels impossible."

With Gray and Fontaine's soaring dual melodies, acerbic lyrics, and unmatched intensity, Molotov Nights is the most cohesive and most necessary record of their career. Covering topics most bands shy away from — genocide, ICE, fascism, femicide — The Iron Roses stand for everything punk was always supposed to fight for. And they do it without ever losing the melody, the hook, the moment where the song grabs you by the collar and will not let go. This is what we needed. Not consolation. Not nostalgia. Not the comfortable lie that things will sort themselves out. We would have preferred the world where this record didn't have to exist — where there was nothing to be this angry about, nothing to grieve, nothing to scream. We'd take that world in a heartbeat. But we don't live in that world. We live in this one. And in this one, The Iron Roses just made Molotov Nights.

Brantley Gilbert Sets Next Era in Motion with ‘SINS OF THE FATHER’ Arriving 7/24

Multi-Platinum trailblazer Brantley Gilbert announces SINS OF THE FATHER, his highly anticipated eighth studio album, set for release July 24 via BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville. Marking his first full-length project with the new label and team, Gilbert channels renewed creative energy to deliver one of the most personal statements of his career. On SINS OF THE FATHER, Gilbert blends hard-earned perspective with the grit and honesty that have become his signature. Gilbert wanted fans and families alike to be able to experience the project without losing the honesty and emotion at its core. In addition to the original version, Gilbert also offers a clean version of “F****D ME UP,” titled “MESSED ME UP,” also available today. A clean version of SINS OF THE FATHER will be released July 24 alongside the original album.
