"Knights! It is dangerous to go alone!
Are you prepared to venture into the unknown together!?
Our second single from
At the Heart of Wintervale is finally unleashed upon the mortal realms: 'Sunlight Knight'
This is the tale of a valiant knight seeking fortune and triumph throughout the kingdom of Aloria. One day he happens upon a village hidden deep in the woods, where all light has been consumed and usurped by an ancient eldritch daemon. Our brave knight must hence journey into the daemon’s mystic realm to unbind the light, and free the villagers from the shackles of eternal darkness. Alas, the daemon appears indomitable at first. Our hero must set out again, to seek further skills and develop additional powers in order to return for the final battle... So, sharpen your swords, and witness the story as it unfolds in this sparkling nostalgic visualization. The magnificent art and video created by

Fat Mike of NOFX Launches New Label, Bottles To The Ground; Signs The Meffs, Codefendants and Melvinator

Right on the heels of the exoneration of his new band Codefendants, notorious punk rock legend Fat Mike announces the launch of a new record label, Bottles To The Ground. This label will be a halfway house for Codefendants, and a home for British punk duo The Meffs, NOFX’s Eric Melvin’s EDM project Melvinator, and others.

Fat Mike explains the origins of Bottles to the Ground

“When NOFX first played Amsterdam in 1988, we were invited to the closing night of one of the most infamous squats in the city. Not just a squat, this was a punk bar that instructed everyone to smash all glasses and bottles on the street after we emptied them. Apparently there would be no repercussions from the city because no one owned it. So, we drank all night along with hundreds of punks and every fucking bottle got smashed. To me, it looked like how punk rock music should feel. Bottles to the Ground is the beauty of disaster.”

Fat Wreck Chords now has a new imprint Bottles to the Ground. Fat Mike created this label for both his and NOFX’s music projects such as Codefendants and Melvinator, as well as other bands that do not fit the traditional Fat sound. This label is a collective not solely owned by Fat, but by all members of NOFX.

“Erin and I both decided that NOFX deserved to be co-owners for all their years of loyalty and support for Fat Wreck Chords. Of course, their percentage isn’t as big as mine, but hey…” - Fat Mike

Codefendants released the video for brand new track “Suicide By Pigs” last month. The track is now available on all streaming platforms alongside previous single “Abscessed”, listen to both HERE. Watch the music video for “Suicide By PigsHERE .

The Meffs’ new EP 'Broken Britain, Broken Brains Pt. 1' is released digitally along with a brand new music video featuring a cameo from album producer Frank Turner for the title track “Broken Britain, Broken Brains”. The EP can be listened to HEREwith physical copies being available to purchase HERE. Watch the video for “Broken Britain, Broken Brains below. Speaking on their new track, the band share

“"Broken Britain, Broken Brains" - A dialogue that resonates with the masses. This song spits truths about society, the daily grind and the price we pay for happiness. We owe you a beer if the chorus isn’t stuck in your head for the rest of the day. The video was filmed in Clacton-on-sea, where Lily was born and bred. Being about a 'Broken Britain' it felt apt filming by the most deprived town in the UK... on a boiling hot day.”

Globally renowned guitarist, artist and founding member of punk-rock heavyweights NOFX, Eric Melvin needs little introduction. Outside of his work with NOFX, fans have been eagerly watching Melvin's solo transformation into Producer / DJ for nearly 10 years. Beginning with the now legendary "Mosh-Up" collection of mixes, Melvin's entree into the world of mash-ups, with short, sharp sets that seamlessly moulded together punk rock, hip hop, EDM, and funk - and mixing the likes of NWA with Fugazi & The Circle Jerks!

With a packed schedule for 2023, Melvinator has teamed up with long-time friend, bandmate, and label boss Fat Mike as one of the first signings to his new label Bottles To The Ground. Melvinator will offer fans brand new versions of NOFX staples. Executive produced by Fat Mike and recorded over the course of two years alongside producer Baz The Frenchman (NOFX – The Decline at Red Rocks), this project continues Eric Melvin’s exploration of the do-it-yourself links between punk rock & EDM. His first release on the label, a reworking of “American Errorist”, is out today and available both on streaming platforms and as a 12” single featuring Melvinator’s original version and a remix by ZBA. Stream the track HERE, purchase the vinyl HERE and watch the music video for “American Errorist” below.

Speaking on his first official release on Bottles To The Ground, Melvinator shares:

“I’m so excited to share this track with the world. I have been experimenting in my private labs for what seems like an eternity, but I'm finally ready to start sharing my creations with you. While the synthesis of Punk Rock & EDM might seem like an unholy matrimony to some, I think more will delight in the similarities as I do. The high energy, the sonic intensity and the refusal to conform has made this path clear for me. I see connections in the most unlikely places. This just might be one of them. American Errorist is only the beginning! Thank you for being here with me and facilitating my artistic expression as this new landscape echoes with boundless possibilities.

Mel xoxo"

Look for many new BTTG releases next year.

One more round then it’s Bottles to the Ground, smashing of the glass, an imperfect perfect sound.“  - Fat Mike

Slaves to Humanity Announce Multiple Show Dates in Washington!

Slaves To Humanity announced that they will be playing a string of shows in Washington in January, 2023.

"I’m really excited. It’s gonna be extremely refreshing. I absolutely love Seattle, and I cannot wait to show our music to a new crowd. It’s a little scary, but the excitement outweighs any fear I have! " says Aidan Amini.

Shane Ryan adds, "Going on tour is one of the main things I’ve been looking forward to doing since I started playing drums, and now that we’re actually going to make that dream a reality is super surreal for me. This is going to be just the first of many tours we will be going on as a band and it’ll definitely be one to remember."

"I'm looking forward to it. There's something about being completely on our own that feels like a necessary stage in our journey. A little scary? Exciting? Definitely a bit of both," comments Nathan Johnson.

Pierce Akers also comments,"I’m excited but definitely nervous because I haven’t done anything like this, but this is definitely something that needs to happen for us to move on this musical boat."

Slaves to Humanity (STH) is a Sunset Grunge band from Orange County California. It’s members include Aidan Amini on vocals, Pierce Akers on guitar, Shane Ryan on drums, and Nathan Johnson on the bass. Together the band mates create a sound like no other, mixing the melodic guitars of the late 80s era hard rock bands, and the lyrics and vocal sound of the 90s grunge era, as well as throwing modern rock elements all around.

In 2019 they released their first single “BATTLEGROUND” which had success in radio stations and streaming platforms alike. Following this release, during the Covid 19 pandemic, the band released “Behind My Back” which showed even more success. Both singles were the most requested song on KLOS and received heavy rotation on that major radio station for many months throughout the pandemic.

During the pandemic, the band worked hard on putting together their social media presence and continue to do so today, showing success on Tiktok and Instagram. The band continues to play shows in Southern California as well as build their social media presence.

The band appeared on Episode 2 and Episode 10 of the show NO COVER - (The only Music Competition show w/ unsigned artists performing original songs).

Indie artist SICKY unleashes quirky pop fun on 'Beans' single. 'Garbage Town' LP is out now

"This music is down-the-middle catchy and clever. It is, at the same time, gleeful, tuneful, and a hell of a lot of fun... recalls such artists as Gene, Manic Street Preachers, Muse and Super Furry Animals" ~ Amplify Music Magazine

"This is intelligent brit-pop-rock that presents some delightful off-the-rails fun" ~ The Spill Magazine

"It’s pop, yes, but pop that comes from the streets, pop that has had a tough upbringing, pop with dirt on its face and blood on its knuckles" ~ Big Takeover Magazine

"There is something in the balance of weight and jauntiness, the lyrics that get deeper and darker the more you contemplate them, the fine line it walks between pop and a hard place, between edge and accessibility" ~ Dancing About Architecture

British solo artist SICKY presents 'Beans', a complex melodic slice of alt-pop with slick lyrics, from his thickly layered sophomore album 'Garbage Town'. This 12-track collection was supported by three singles - the title track 'Garbage Town',  'The Bridge' and 'A Bite Without A Mark'

SICKY is the solo project of Mick Butler, his brand of melodic Britpop-infused indie rock spells good news for fans of Beck, Supergrass and early Blur. Originally from the Black Country region of England, he is now based in Shropshire.

"This album continues the theme of shaking off dark days and making better things happen. It also includes songs that are just quirky bits of pop fun. 'Beans', for instance, is a tale of someone I know who cannot be named. This friend has become infamous for his loose behaviour so I’ve likened him to Beans, the family cat. Songs 'None of That' and 'Protect Me Protect Mine' were very much inspired by the invasion of Ukraine. It's so hard to believe this can still happen in the 21st century," says SICKY.

While Mick Butler has had his run of playing in bands, ranging from the brass soaked pop of Papa Mantra to the dirty stomp of SUMO, he now derives pleasure from banging out tunes and crafting new material. Literally everything you hear in his music is him squeezing noises out of anything that'll sing.

"Life inspires me.Things that happen to me or people around me, good or bad. I tend to write when I least expect it. I never sit down and plan to write something. All my albums have been accidents. If you like dark matter, heart felt musings, rough edge diamonds, heart on sleeve kinda music, then please give Garbage Town a listen... It might just leave a mark," says SICKY.

The new album comes a year after his lockdown album 'Bowling Balls', which was partially inspired by Prince and Bowie, as well as Ray Bradbury's book 'The Martian Chronicles'.

The full 'Garbage Town' album is out now, available across all good digital platforms, including via Spotify, Apple Music and Bandcamp, where it can be obtained directly from the artist.

NYC-based FRENCHY AND THE PUNK unveil lush 'Temple of Sleep' from new 'Zen Ghost' LP

"Explosive, subdued, confrontational, soothing, spikey, and accessible, an incredible blend of alt-rock shade and alt-folk light" ~ Big Takeover Magazine

"Vibrant and danceable. Who says dark can’t also be fun? Zen Ghost, which may be among the year’s best albums to date, is a highly recommended listen" ~ The Spill Magazine

"Penetrating psych-soaked post-punk... Brimming with their signature cinematic drama and that unforgettable voice" ~ Global Texan Chronicles

"Bombastic... a happy medium between the sonic atmosphere and thoughtful melancholy of post-punk music and the unmistakable drama of cabaret... as beautifully manic as some of the finest artists on America's early punk' scene" ~ Amplify Music Magazine

"An inspiriting slice of post punk hued, new wave nurtured rock ‘n’ roll... under the skin and hungrily stirring the imagination in a flash" ~ Ringmaster Review

NYC-based postpunk duo Frenchy and the Punk present 'Temple of Sleep', a slow, dark, atmospheric track from their new 'Zen Ghost' album. Pitting emotional angst against sleep, the song squirms with the uneasy yet seductive pull of altered states of rest. The video, shot entirely in upstate New York, captures the autumnal feel and mood of the song.

Frenchy and the Punk is vocalist, percussionist and lyricist Samantha Stephenson and guitarist-composer Scott Helland, who co-founded Outpatients and Deep Wound (with Dinosaur Jr.'s J Mascis and Lou Barlow). The duo profess a vivid blend of post-punk and dark folk music.

Not long ago, the duo revealed 'If The World Doesn't End First', a love song wrapped in an impending apocalyptic scenario inspired by current events, past fears and the knowledge that, in the end, the things that don’t matter pass and the one thing that does remains.

Earlier, they released the high energy singles 'Mon Souvenir' and Siouxsie-esque 'Come In and Play', their shadowy sound taking an even darker turn towards the pair’s previously unexplored personal planes and interpretations of the insanity of our increasingly tumultuous age. Dark times make for dark songs.

"When I wrote the lyrics to 'Temple of Sleep', I was literally having trouble sleeping. Sleep used to come easily to me, except perhaps as a teenager when I was afraid to succumb to it because of recurring nightmares and sleep paralysis. But during these last few years, sleep has often evaded me. I also think about what it must be like to be in your early 20s at this time, trying to make plans and dreaming of the future and how it is probably so different than when I was that age. There is a dystopian cloud that seems to hover over everything these days. The everyday of life can be poisonous and make restful sleep hard to attain, which is so instrumental to a healthy life," says Samantha Stephenson.

"I have always found that the return to nature for nurture and the calming of the waters of the heart and mind are essential to well being; an anecdote. I find the allure of the dream state to be very seductive and a welcome escape. The theme of sleep felt like the perfect subject for Scott’s beautifully lugubrious riff progression on this tune."

Tapped as one of the Top 25 duos in the US by Yahoo! Music, the freewheeling pair has released numerous recordings, including the acclaimed albums 'Happy Madness' (2010), 'Hey Hey Cabaret' (2012), 'Elephant Uproar' (2013), 'Cartwheels' (2014), 'Bonjour Batfrog' (2014) and 'Hooray Beret' (2019).

French-born, but raised in the UK and USA, Stephenson’s study of piano and dance ignited her eventual rejection of corporate conformity and fueled a quest to lead a truly autonomous life through art and music. A son of jazz-loving teachers, Helland grew up in Western Massachusetts and was a vital player on the region’s fertile early hardcore punk scene.

Helland and Stephenson met in NYC in 1998, when Stephenson spontaneously jumped on stage to accompany Helland during his solo guitar performance. The artistic union was immediate, powerful and undeniable. The two began to tour with fevered zeal, turning heads with their striking aesthetic, steadily building fervent fans on the mystical-folk/steampunk festival, coffeehouse, convention, and club circuits with their boisterous, revival-like live shows.

Over the years, they've performed live with Dead Can Dance's Peter Ulrich and Dresden Dolls' Brian Viglione, and opened for Thomas Dolby, Dinosaur Jr., The World Inferno Friendship Society, Rasputina, Cruxshadows, Hurray For The Riff Raff and The Young Dubliners.

The 'Zen Ghost' LP is out now via EA Recordings and can be found across fine digital outlets, including Apple Music, Spotify and Bandcamp. It is also available on CD via the band's website.

OCEANHOARSE Release Lyric Video for New Single "Carved in Stone"!

Finnish heavy metallers Oceanhoarse are proud to present "Carved in Stone" - the 5th single from their upcoming sophomore studio album Heads Will Roll, which will be released on February 17th, 2023 on Noble Demon. The song comes with a brand new lyric video, which you can watch here:

Guitarist Ben Varon on "Carved in Stone":
”Carved in Stone started with a melody written by my old guitar partner in Amoral, Silver Ots. I wanted to write music with him again after a decade-long break, so I asked him to send over any cool stuff he might have lying around. This melody made a big impression on me straight away, and I built a grandiose Oceanhoarse song around it. Lyrically the song is about how much of what we are, what we want and what we strive for is already within us either from since we are born, or from very early on in life.”

Heads Will Roll is available for pre-order at THIS LOCATION

In addition to releasing a brand new track, Oceanhoarse will present their annual Hoarsefest on December 30, a festival organized by the band that will take place at On the Rocks in Helsinki. "Duplicity" is a new Progressive Metal, Instrumental song written by 15 year-old drummer Thomas Thunder. This heavy hitting, power driven track has everything a prog metal fan wants: double bass drumming, odd time, virtuosic guitar and keyboards. Featured musicians on this track include Derek Sherinian on keyboards, Ron Bumblefoot Thal on guitar, and Tony Franklin on bass. This is Thunder's first single after his debut album The Pharaoh's Temple released last year in September 2021.

“I have had the pleasure of working with Thomas on his debut album. I was extremely impressed with his creativity, and use of advanced harmony for a kid his age. I think the future is bright for young Thomas Thunder!”
-Derek Sherinian

“Ive had the pleasure of playing on the soon to be released album of Thomas Thunder. Thomas is a young up and coming musician and he’s a phenomenal drummer. He’s a very intricate songwriter that writes this amazing, crazy stuff that has been so tough to play. I’m on his album along with my Sons of Apollo bandmate Derek Sherinian, and bass player Tony Franklin. So, please check out this album. I hope you enjoy it!”
-Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal

"I was thrilled to play on Thomas’s album, with such an esteemed group of musicians. Thomas is definitely advanced for his years as both a writer and a player. I look forward to seeing how he will evolve as he creates more and more."
-Tony Franklin

Thomas Thunder is young up and coming musician from Massachusetts, and is here to prove that a teenager can be a musical force to be reckoned with. With his intricate Progressive Rock songs that include odd time signatures and unique instrumentation, he has captured the attention of fans as well as seasoned, professional musicians.

Thomas began his journey as a musician when he started drum lessons at age five. He started playing in performance bands by age seven, and began songwriting at age ten when he released his first single and was awarded a prize in the Eventide Theater Songwriting competition. In fact, Thomas grabbed the attention of the ‘King of Keyboards’ Derek Sherinian (Sons of Apollo; Dream Theater; Alice Cooper) with his songs. By the time Thomas reached the age 14, he released his debut album The Pharaoh's Temple, and his team of musicians included Derek, Ron Bumblefoot Thal and Tony Franklin continue to play on Thomas' songs.

Thomas also began his academic journey this past year, and is taking Berklee College of Music courses as dual-enrollment during high school. He's working towards his Bachelor's Degree in Music Theory/Performance, and at the end of the Winter/Spring Semester 2023, Thomas will achieve a Berklee Professional Drum Certificate at 15 years-old. Thomas is also a member of the high IQ society Mensa.

The future looks bright for Thomas Thunder!

Robin McAuley Announces New Solo Album 'Alive' Out February 17, 2023

Famed Power Rock Vocalist

Robin McAuley

Announces New Solo Album

'Alive' Out February 17, 2023

New Single & Music Video for the Title Track,

Out Today!

Frontiers Music Srl is pleased to announce the upcoming release of legendary rock vocalist Robin McAuley's new solo album, 'Alive' on February 17, 2023.

A brand new single and music video, the title track, has been released today.

Watch the video

This new album sees McAuley's voice continuing to defy time and sounding as inspired and powerful as ever. The music itself is more hard rockin' than his previous effort, 'Standing On The Edge', but, of course, the music is still wonderfully melodic, infectious, and fist-in-the-air uplifting.

McAuley's previous solo album, 'Standing On The Edge', showcased the desire of the respected Irish rock singer to make a strong musical statement in a period that was more creative than ever for him. After reemerging on the recording side of the music industry with guest spots on Michael Schenker Fest albums and fronting the hard rock supergroup Black Swan, McAuley was (and still is) feeling invigorated and ready to explore even more creative output to let the world see that his voice was (and, again, still is) as powerful as ever.

After returning with the powerful aforementioned musical statements from Michael Schenker Fest, Black Swan, and his last solo album, McAuley and his Black Swan cohorts, guitarist Reb Beach, bassist Jeff Pilson, and drummer Matt Star, returned in early 2022 with a second album, 'Generation Mind'. That album delivered, and arguably surpassed, the promise of the band's debut and once again saw Robin's powerful vocals being showcased in a fantastic hard rock setting.

After coming off the creative spark of writing songs with Beach and Pilson for Black Swan's second effort, work for 'Alive' began in 2022 and once again, Robin's inspired vocal performance on this album is a revelation. You'll realize that 'Alive' could not be more aptly titled once you hear this glorious rock n' roll album.

Robin's backing band is the same as appeared with him on the previous effort, including guitarist Andrea Seveso, who once again absolutely stuns with his talents, bassist/keyboardist Alessandro Del Vecchio (who also produces once again), and drummer Nicholas Papapicco.

Pre-order / Save 'Alive' HERE

Robin McAuley is widely recognized as one of the great singers of a golden period in hard rock music. His voice can be heard on albums from Grand Prix and Far Corporation, and of course on the chart topping MSG records 'Perfect Timing,' 'Save Yourself,' and 'MSG'.

Through these releases, he was introduced to hard rock fans around the globe, who no doubt recognized the inherent talent and skill in his vocal abilities. Once he departed MSG, he released one solo record in 1999, then joined AOR legends Survivor, and then re-grouped with Schenker in Michael Schenker Fest on their recent records 'Resurrection' and 'Revelation'.

And of course, in what was an absolute revelation to hard rock fans around the world, in 2020, he came out swingin' as the frontman of the supergroup Black Swan, where he joined forces with Reb Beach (Whitesnake, Winger), Jeff Pilson (Foreigner, ex-Dokken), and Matt Starr (Ace Frehley, Mr Big).

The band would return in 2022 with a second album, 'Generation Mind' that was met with equal, if not surpassing, amounts of praise as their debut.

Line-Up:

Robin McAuley - vocals

Andrea Seveso - guitars

Alessandro Del Vecchio - bass, keyboards

Nicholas Papapicco - drums

Produced by: Alessandro Del Vecchio

Executive Producer/A&R: Serafino Perugino

THE HATE CLUB Releases Intense, Animated Video for "Burn in Hell"!

Dark Metal artist THE HATE CLUB ( Alex Poe) has released the official music video for "Burn in Hell"! Pairing phenomenal animation, vivid story-telling, and brutal metal riffs, "Burn in Hell" showcases the enigmatic artist's mastery of visual and auditory intensity.

"Two maniacs, The Hate Club & Vezanmatics, bring you the continuation of the story first encountered in "My Name Is Legion" music video.

3 years, 3 months and 3 days later our heroes are facing an onslaught and carnage of a foreign force.

Headbanging is banned, metal is banned, humans are enslaved.

Things must change....." - THE HATE CLUB

"I was stoked to return to this brutal and hilarious world I drew up for the first video, especially since it was a lot more story-driven and I had the creative agency to pack it with all kinds of things that excite me like hideous aliens, rusty deathtraps, post-apocalyptic scenery, explosions and stuff.

For inspiration I turned to 40k, Oddworld and Fury Road to fill in the details and bring it to life, importantly including a lot of reference to the weapons the Ukrainians are using to defend themselves for the later bit. - EVAN STREB aka VEZANMATICS (animation)

Producer Chris Collier (KORN) Mixing New Society 1 Material

Chris Collier, the producer of Korn's test album Requiem, is now in the studio with Society 1 mixing two singles that will be released in January and February accompanied by music videos and drum playthrough videos featuring Dagon Destroyer.

"After several weeks of working with the brilliant engineers at Soundlit Studios, and from the feedback regarding the deep musicality and anthemic nature of these songs, we've decided to go all in with this record as it may be our best work. We wanted to get with Chris Collier as we think his style will lend itself to the music." said lead vocalist Lord Zane

Chris Collier has just finished up "The Fight Within" set for release in January and "God To You" which will be released in February in anticipation of Society 1's tour with Static-X, Fear Factory, and Dope.

"I was really impressed with a lot of the musicianship, a lot of the songwriting." said Collier

"We really couldn't be happier with how this musical collaboration is going. Once we got my drums recorded and heard the deep dimensionality
of the music, we decided that this would not just be another album but would serve as the soundtrack to the Shock Rock Movie we're making.
And with every single we release, there'll be a cinematic accompaniment." added Dagon

ICYMI: In 2020, brothers Sakis and Themmis Tolis were bestowed the immortal honor of having a newly discovered fossil species named after them! Two researchers from the Natural History Museum in Luxembourg,  Dr. Ben Thuy and and Dr. Lea Numberger, recently found a new brittle-star species and decided to name it "Brezinacantha Tolis" in honor of the Tolis brothers. More info on the discovery and its etymology can be found HERE.

ROTTING CHRIST previously revealed a coveted collaboration with the creators of the PS4 game "Mortal Shell," which featured the band's epic track "Χ Ξ Σ (666)" in the official trailer! The game was released worldwide in August of 2020. The trailer can be seen at THIS LOCATION.

It's not ROTTING CHRIST's first encounter with the gaming industry. The band was discovered on a poster in the game 'The Last of Us Part 2' along with label mates HORRENDOUS!

Here is what the press has to say to about 'The Hererics':

“The band's present incarnation is as a melodic tour-de-force, proficient in writing devastating earworms with gradated arrangements without a trace of insidiousness. Their sound is richly sumptuous, smoothly opulent and, most importantly, unmistakably Rotting Christ.” – Metal Injection

“On lucky-number-13, 'The Heretics,' Rotting Christ have delivered an true ace—the culmination of the Greeks’ successes, in fact. The record is dark, heavy, mystical, memorable and fucking awesome all the way through.” – Decibel Magazine

“’The Heretics’ is the proverbial middle finger to all their doubters and is in contention for best metal album of the year for this writer.” – Metal Underground

“’The Heretics’ is probably the most hook-laden Rotting Christ album since ‘Aealo.’ Tracks such as ‘The Time Has Come’ and ‘Vetry Zlye’ put this album over the top of their Mount Zeus altitude of releases.” – Metal Underground

“For these 10 songs, Rotting Christ not only troll the world of religion at large, but also impugn its implications—war and woe in the name of any god, “neo-messiahs” who invoke religion to commandeer power, the persecution that follows.” – Bandcamp Daily

“To say that they’ve found a sound would be putting it politely; Rotting Christ not only found a sound, but they also basically defined it and then later let it define them.” – No Clean Singing

“The band have mastered the art of “guitar riff as weapon” by this point, and, as mentioned before, have absolutely zero issue heading back to that well across The Heretics‘ ten songs.” – No Clean Singing

“Holy Satan’s Hellfire can we discuss this new album ‘The Heretics’ (out now, Season of Mist)? You wanna talk about a grand slam fucking home run, well here it is!! Not since ‘The Satanist’ from BEHEMOTH has something grabbed me simultaneously by the throat and by the balls the way this album has.” – Amps & Green Screens

ROTTING CHRIST have reached another peak in their long career that now spans over more than three decades. The Greeks have literally stood the test of time. With a steady core line-up and their well-honed live delivery, ROTTING CHRIST are filling concert halls and reap enthusiastic crowd reactions wherever they go. This demonstration of love from their followers is not just driven by nostalgia as the band has managed to evolve and grow, while staying relevant beyond the classics with their highly acclaimed latest albums such as 'Aealo' (2010), 'Κατά τον δαίμονα εαυτού’ (2013), and 'Rituals' (2016).

Now, with the new offering 'The Heretics', ROTTING CHRIST are opening a brand new chapter. With confidence and skills derived from experience, each song represents its own sonic universe. Guitarist and vocalist Sakis Tolis in collaboration with his brother Themis on drums achieve a perfect balance of amalgamating their classic and unique style of riffing and rhythm with exciting new elements sprinkled in to keep their material exciting and fresh. The experienced is enhanced by Jens Bogren's equally clear and transparent yet also massive as well as sombre mix and mastering at his widely renowned Fascination Street Studios (AMORPHIS, BORKNAGAR, MOONSPELL, DEVIN TOWNSEND, and many more).

ROTTING CHRIST were founded by Sakis Tolis and his brother Themis in the year 1987. Starting out on a basis of death and grind, the Greeks had already embarked on a darker musical journey by the time their debut full-length ‘Thy Mighty Contract’ (1993) was revealed. On the following seven albums covering a ten-year period from 'Non Serviam' (1994) to 'Sanctus Diavolos' (2004), ROTTING CHRIST steadily defined their own distinct style by experimenting with elements from death, heavy, and gothic metal without betraying their black roots. At the same time, the band went from underground heroes to headliner status. With the highly acclaimed ninth album, 'Theogonia' (2007), the Greek stalwarts added an unmistakable native element to their sound, which has remained with them as a signature trademark ever since. Exploring the mythical legacy of cultures around the globe led to ROTTING CHRIST's massively successful latest release, 'Rituals' (2016). With more than 30 years, 13 studio albums, a dozen EPs, singles and split releases, as well as more than 1.250 shows under their belt, 2018 marked the year of 'Their Greatest Spells' (2018), where they musically revisited their exciting legacy to connect their past with the present.

'The Heretics' marks another step in the evolution of the Greek masters. Buckle up for a fascinating musical ride through the woes of religious wars, Zoroastrianism and the eternal war between good and evil.  Metal at its best!

OMEGA INFINITY Shares 360° VR Music Video for New Song, Reveals Album Details

The stars align today! Void metal outfit OMEGA INFINITY, the project of Xenoyr (NE OBLIVISCARIS) and Tentakel P. (TODTGELICHTER), will be releasing their new full-length, 'The Anticurrent,' on February 24, 2023. The album artwork, tracklist, and details can be found below!

The band is now sharing the first single, "Iron Age," along with a 360° music video that can be watched with VR goggles! In addition, the single features Adrienne Cowan of SEVEN SPIRES as a guest vocalist! The song and video can be found below.

OMEGA INFINITY comments:
"And as the universe had pulled itself from chaos into order, the eternal dance of dust and matter cradling the formation of celestial bodies and myriads of galaxies, a cancer spreads out into the universe - a remnant of chaos, spawning and spreading like mold through superclusters everywhere. Like bones ripped from its own flesh, this force harvests resources to form weapons meant for destruction and demise. Wherever there is life, there is conflict. This is the birth of war – the birth of the new Iron Age!"

"The Anticurrent" can be pre-saved HERE pre-ordered HERE.

OMEGA INFINITY: The story of the endless cycle of birth and death told on a cosmic scale, being viewed from The Void that permeates the whole existence.
The debut album “Solar Spectre” (released in 2020 by Season Of Mist) created a dark and disturbing soundtrack for a journey through our own solar system, combining furious Black Metal of the 90‘s, harsh electronic and menacing ambient sounds with ancient growls and screams and gathered overwhelmingly positive press and fan response when it was first unleashed upon earth.

Not content with only one small statement and following their greater vision for The Void, Tentakel P. (TODTGELICHTER) and Xen (NE OBLIVISCARIS/ ANTIQVA) had already finished their sophomore album at that time, with only the pandemic preventing the vocal recordings and thus an earlier release.

“The Anticurrent” unleashed a very different view of The Void unto the listener. Rather than the blackness of space, the second album explores Time: From the Big Bang and the chaotic birth of the universe, the album’s focus moves through the rise and fall of human civilisation, while zooming back out to a cosmic scale to witness the inevitable end of the universe in the menacing finale.

No OMEGA INFINITY album would be complete without cover versions (SEAR BLISS and EMPEROR) and the addition of friends as guests to the ensemble: Heralding The End together with the band are (in order of appearance) Adrienne Cowan (SEVEN SPIRES/ AVANTASIA), Lindsay Schoolcraft (ANTIQVA/ ex-CRADLE OF FILTH), Andras Nagy (SEAR BLISS) and Marta J. Braun (TODTGELICHTER/ VYRE).

If you ever wanted to know how a myriad of Black Holes devouring themselves in a time distortion sound – look no further than OMEGA INFINITY’s sophomore album “The Anticurrent”!

Double Trouble / Lumos! (Hedwig's Theme)

THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON, the fantastic metal quartet formed by members of Feuerschwanz, Amaranthe and Ad Infinitum, love to explore unseen lands and dive into the adventures of worldwide heroic characters. Sharing their stories with a dedicated fanbase, they now announce their debut album, 'Metamorphosis', out May 12, 2023 via Napalm Records.

With this album, the unit around Ad Infinitum vocal queen Melissa Bonny and Feuerschwanz guitar virtuoso Hans Platz dip their soundscapes into mystical worlds, reinterpreting famous soundtrack themes and writing their own songs dedicated to their favorite characters.

Setting off to the fantastic universe of Harry Potter, the first single, Double Trouble / Lumos! (Hedwig's Theme)is an expertly metallized medley mix featuring the tune of Hedwig’s Theme, cut from the beloved movie theme song featured throughout the entire film series, and the bewitching “Double Trouble”, taken from the third movie. The song comes along with a lavish music video and shines with additional input from sensational violinist Rusanda Panfili, who complements the mystical and eerie atmosphere.

THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON on the new single:

“We are happy to finally visit Hogwarts with you and to show you its dark side. When we first talked about transforming 'Double Trouble', we were not sure the song would allow us to do it. But strangely, combined with the classical violin and the heavy guitars, the explosive drums, the enchanting harp, and Melissa’s mesmerizing voice, the magic happens! We are thrilled to have Rusanda Panfili join us on this quest. Among other things, she is a violin soloist for Hans Zimmer, one of the most famous movie score composers. Together, we created a metal cover of this legendary movie score written by John Williams.”

Watch the Official Music Video for "Double Trouble"

THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON started with a bet between AD INFINITUM singer Melissa Bonny and Hans Platz, the guitarist of FEUERSCHWANZ. Whoever lost owed the other a "dare". Hans won and challenged Melissa to record a metal version of their latest released single "Jenny Of Oldstones", and the rest is history!

Exploring the fantastical lives of famous pop culture heroes since their childhood, the multitalented musicians transform soundtracks of worldwide known movies, TV shows and video games into powerful metal tracks on the debut album 'Metamorphosis'. THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON don’t limit themselves to cover versions, but also include their own songs dedicated to their favorite warriors.

Calling for solidarity, the harmonic The Gates of Time tells the story of the time traveling portals in the famous The Legend of Zelda series. Marching into the great worlds of Lord Of The Rings, the band paints the Grammy-nominated soundtrack "May It Be", featuring Charlotte Wessels (ex-Delain,), in a new light, while the mystic song "Misty Mountains" (feat. EVERGREY’s Tom S. Englund) of The Hobbit film trilogy underlines the tragic story through melodic folk vocal lines and rousing guitar riff choirs. Like the seven untamed seas, the melodies appear in energetic and rousing waves, while others head towards the shore in an exciting, elegant and soulful rhythm.

Exploring the untouched sides of these multifaceted selected songs, the multinational band shifts the world famous soundscapes into new adventures which will take listeners back to forgotten times. The multi-million streamed League of Legends soundtrack theme, Legends Never Die”, comes back to life through a stunning makeover due to the incredible vocal lines of Melissa Bonny. Just like the moon, every song has an unexplored side, now discovered by THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON.

The band adds:

“We are excited to finally announce our debut album 'Metamorphosis'! At the time, we just had one song (‘Jenny of Oldstones’) and were asked to make a full album, we had to start from scratch a journey which led us from the depth of Moria all the way up to the top of the Misty Mountains. We are beyond proud to also present you three original songs on the album! It goes without saying that we cannot wait to hear your response to what we have been preparing for more than a year. Welcome to the dark side!”

Grutle Kjellson commented,
“Sometimes the answers and the truths lie under your very nose, or where the journey starts, where you first set sail towards horizons unknown. This was very much the case when we started working on “Heimdal”; we stepped back and looked a bit inwards and also at our immediate surroundings, at the area we hail from and where we still dwell today; Hordaland. On these shores people have been living and dying, worshiping and crying, laughing and lying ever since the Stone Age. History has been written here, history will still be written here and we will continue to dwell here until the end of our days.

Built around this historical narrative, “Heimdal” was created, and on the 3rd of March 2023 we would like to invite you to celebrate the album release with us and pay homage to our history.

Under the “Heimhug”-banner, we’re gonna perform a two-set release concert at USF Bergen with very special guests, we’ll have an art exhibition with the specific photographs and drawings we used for the artwork on the album and also an exclusive showing of last year’s “The Otherworldly BigBand experience”.

See you in Bergen in March!
Alu Alu Laukar!"

Heimdal, is both a departure and a communion with roots forged over three decades ago in the turbulent birth throes of Norway’s black metal scene. The record is named after Heimdal, arguably the most mysterious entity in Nordic mythology.

The record features psychedelic track 'Caravans To The Outer Worlds' from last year's EP of the same name. Album bonus versions contain an extra track, 'Gangandi', alongside a Blu-Ray copy of 2021's stunning Otherworldly Big Band Experience streamed event the band's boldest project to date, featuring fellow Norwegian prog band Shaman Elephant. The kaleidoscopic stage show features a stellar setlist, covering Enslaved's career, both past and present.

Never faltering, Norway’s iconic Enslaved continue to exist as one of the most original and dependable components in our scene's indestructible backbone. Possessing the reputation as one of the most riveting live acts around, they never fail to offer us talent of the highest calibre, always doing justice to their signature black/progressive sound. Enslaved was formed in 1991 by Ivar Bjørnson and Grutle Kjellson, releasing their first demo Yggdrasill in the summer of 1992, their legendary mini-album Hordanes Land coming out in 1993, and with their debut full-length Vikingligr Veldi arriving in the spring of 1994.

Enslaved in 2022 are a band in stellar form - a band at its most existentialist and self-conscious, proud Bergeners bearing the torch of their hometown’s extraordinary musical history. Their most recent material shows Enslaved at their most unleashed and thought-through - a lethal combination unfurling a potential that’s easily rekindling the furor of their early works while dancing gracefully through their most ambitious, most haunting and most musical tunes yet. A contradiction? Life itself is a contradiction. And yet we all live to prove it wrong.

Enslaved are:
Ivar Bjørnson | guitars
Grutle Kjellson | vocals
Arve 'Ice Dale' Isdal | guitar
Håkon Vinje | keyboards, clean vocals
Iver Sandøy | drums

The band comments on the signing:”We were part of building the label back in the day, starting with our first album. For a long time, we were along for the ride as Nuclear Blast evolved into the immense powerhouse it is today. Although we did leave for three studio albums, and we are pleased with those albums and thank everyone who worked with us on them, we are very excited to be back where we belong: with Nuclear Blast. It truly feels like we’ve come home.”

Marcus Hammer, Managing Director at Nuclear Blast comments: “In the darkest days of the 90s of death and black metal HammerFall spearheaded a glorious revival of classic melodic metal and they are now bigger than ever before. It’s an impressive career of creative power and we are more than happy to welcome them back at the label where they started. Over the past few years, we always stayed in good contact working on their massive back catalogue and it’s a pleasure to continue the relationship for new albums in the near future. NAUT Reveals New Song + Music Video for "Dissent"

Emerging U.K. post punk outfit NAUT will be releasing a brand new full length, 'Hunt,' on February 24, 2022 via Season of Mist, making it the band's debut to the label! The band is now sharing the second single, "Dissent," along with a music video! The clip can be found below.

NAUT comments,  "The singles we have selected demonstrate different facets of the band and 'Dissent' is a perfect track to highlight certain things we think are key to NAUT's sound. 'Dissent' is 'Hunt''s opener and one of its 'heaviest' offerings, thematically and musically. The video is stark and works as a lyric video of sorts, where key words and phrases are splashed up on screen like a dissenting voice speaking its truth, daubed across a bleak corporate wall."

Pre-orders for 'Hunt' are now live HERE and the album can be pre-saved on streaming services HERE.

NAUT are a four piece drum machine rock band from Bristol, whose shared love of classic rock and metal, alongside reverence for the post-punk pioneers of the late 70s and early 80s makes itself known from the start. Triumphant synths and scything guitars entwine with danceable beats, while driving bass-lines, moving to pounding drums, create a dynamic and shifting rhythm section. The tracks pulse with a raw post-punk energy but always remain danceable and (perhaps most dangerously) catchy. The lyrics touch on mental paralysis, impending doom and divided peoples, and with the path our world is currently on they have become more relevant than ever.

Starting out as an evening sharing riffs in a flat in Bristol, the first tracks for NAUT had their genesis in 2016. Those first riffs, written by Gavin (vocals) & Jack (guitars) grew to become something much more compelling and after that initial moment, the idea of a band was born. Gathering musicians from Bristol’s small but active post-punk scene and armed with rough recordings, NAUT started working on the tracks as a full band in June 2017.

It all rapidly fell into place. NAUT's first show was in September 2017 followed by two shows supporting Grave Pleasures before the year was out, and they entered the studio the following November. Raise the Lights - their debut EP was recorded at RS Studios in Bristol by Jamie Elton (Moss, Amulet, Spite) and was mastered by Orgone Studios (Ulver, Grave Pleasures, Ghost). The final mastered tracks were ready in March 2018 and plans were put in motion for a June release of a debut EP that made people take notice. The intention was to break out into the world and NAUT did just that, with coverage in Kerrang! Magazine as well as a host of smaller blogs, publications and radio.

2018 saw more live shows with Abysmal Grief and David Eugene Edwards & Alexander Hacke as well as a sell out show in Bristol, and the start of some new material.

Not content to sit still, NAUT were soon ready to enter the studio again with new tracks written at the end of 2018, initially planned as a double A single, but growing into a 3 track EP. The song writing was rooted firmly in the foundations laid by Raise the Lights, but also broke new ground. With a solo in the title track Semele provided by Henrik Palm (Henrik Palm, ex-In Solitude, ex-Ghost) and the same winning combination of recording with Jamie Elton and Orgone Studios taking care of mastering duties the tracks were finished by April 2019.

The 'Semele' EP was released in November 2019 and was well-received. Featured in multiple high profile websites such as Louder, Vive le Rock, Distorted Sound and more, the EP helped establish NAUT on the scene as a band to watch.

Alongside this, NAUT played several more shows, including supporting post-punk legends Pink Turns Blue and playing the warmup show for Incineration Festival in London alongside Idle Hands.

'Threads' and 'Hand in Hand' were recorded in late 2019, building on the spirit of experimentation in the 'Semele' EP whilst calling on elements from Raise the Lights, creating a tantalising mix of the two. The songs were once again recorded by Jamie Elton with mastering handled by Orgone Studios.

During this time NAUT remained an active presence in the UK live scene, sharing the stage with bands as diverse as their fan base, from Discharge to Orange Goblin.

The end of 2019 also saw a change in NAUT’s format, with the departure of their drummer. NAUT had started life as a drum machine project before the addition of Kenny Selway for the debut EP, and after a string of changes, the obvious choice was to return to that format. This opened up new avenues for musical exploration, on and off stage.

With the spectre of a global pandemic looming large, in March 2020 NAUT played their last live appearance of that year in a sold out St Pancras Church in London with King Dude.

With that the world of live music went silent.

However NAUT remained active below the surface, 'Threads' and 'Hand in Hand' were released as a double A side 7” in June 2020. With this release NAUT further gained the attention of fans from across the spectrum of dark music. Word spread further around the scene adding fans to the ever growing following, with Hand in Hand featured in Kerrang! Magazine’s Kerrang! Rock Chart and a number of other high profile goth and post-punk playlists and the music video, creatively produced under the restrictions of a strict lockdown, garnering a strong reception.

Not content with releasing these new songs, work on a debut album was also underway. Over the long months of restrictions and lockdowns NAUT crafted the demos for their debut album, making the most of the dormant state of the music world, something special was being fashioned. The turmoil of 2020 also opened other opportunities and NAUT struck a partnership with Doomstar booking agency, ready for whenever the venues open.

Now NAUT are excited to have signed with Seasons of Mist for the release of their debut album. The label has come to represent all shades of musical darkness and feels like a strong pairing for NAUT, as although the band are less extreme in their musical approach, dark music in all its facets underlies all that they do.

NAUT can't wait to share this upcoming slab of infectious and pulsing drum machine rock with you all.
