Olive Vox Release Debut EP 'Trace It Back'; Release New Video For "I Do"

Texas alt-rock quartet Olive Vox release their debut EP, Trace It Back, today via Big Machine Rock. Across six tracks, the band turn the lens inward, working through guilt, damaged relationships, self-destructive patterns, expectation and the uneasy process of confronting the parts of yourself you would rather leave buried. Arriving alongside the EP is focus track “I Do” and its official video. The song centres on the pressure of being defined by other people and the conflict between keeping the peace, staying true to yourself and wanting to be properly understood by someone who has witnessed what you have been through. Speaking on “I Do”, Olive Vox share:

“This song is about wrestling with the heavy weight of expectations and the feeling of having your true self buried by people who thought they had you figured out. It is caught between wanting to conform to keep the peace and the desperate hope that your art or your voice can bring you back home. Underneath the fear of judgment and getting things wrong, there is a strong need to be truly seen and understood by someone who was actually there to witness the struggle.”

That tension sits naturally inside Trace It Back, an EP shaped by what happens when honesty starts costing something. Across recent singles “Hear Me Out”, “BABYDOLL” and “We Are Not The Same”, Olive Vox have pushed further into direct, emotionally exposed songwriting, confronting guilt, self-destruction, toxic cycles and the consequences of their own behaviour.

For vocalist Parker James, the EP came from a deliberate decision to stop hiding behind more elusive lyrics and write more openly about the period he was living through. Speaking on Trace It Back, he shares:

“The Trace It Back EP compiles past and pre-existing transgressions. I aimed to be more direct and honest in my lyrics, rather than being elusive. I found myself oversharing personal details, which led to regret and overthinking. Due to my anxieties, I became very closeted and shut off. Realizing that it was actually affecting me more than just being my true self, I decided I wouldn’t care about what I wrote as long as it made me happy. This EP serves as a collection and a snapshot of a time and place in my life where I was struggling.” - Parker James

Trace It Back captures that period without trying to force it into a clean resolution. The songs deal with recognising destructive behaviour, carrying guilt, wanting forgiveness and struggling to move beyond versions of yourself that still affect the present.

Musically, the EP draws from alternative rock, post-punk, indie and modern heavy music, with the band keeping melody and live impact at the centre of the songs. That emphasis on performance has remained central throughout the campaign, with Olive Vox continuing to build their audience through touring as much as through streaming and video.

The EP arrives while Olive Vox are on the road supporting The Toadies across the US. Following recent runs with Badflower and Raue and a return to Camp Woodward this summer as featured musicians and mentors, the band play The Blue Note in Columbia, Missouri tonight before continuing the tour through October 3rd in Ventura, California.

Just days later, Olive Vox will head back out for a newly announced run supporting Beauty School Dropout on their “The Circus” F/W 2026 US Tour. The seven-date run begins October 8th in Sacramento, California and takes the band through Reno, Tucson, Oklahoma City, Indianapolis, Allentown and Pittsburgh.

SEA SLEEPER Release New Album Burden Of Antlers With Visualizer

Oregon's death metal quartet SEA SLEEPER preset their sophomore full-length album, Burden of Antlers. With a sound that embraces the weird and obscure, Burden of Antlers sees the band hone further the cohesion across their composition process to produce an offering that is thoroughly eclectic and heavy. 

The band comments:

"Burden of Antlers is our second album as sea sleeper. Three of us have been working together to make the weirdest/Heaviest metal we would want to listen to. We have been playing music together for close to 15 years and we recently recruited Tony Spradlin as the fourth sleeper. This album is a more cohesive effort than our debut release Nostophobia. This record comes back to passages and re-explores them in their entirety instead of finding the next shiny riff."

SEA SLEEPER has refined the creative direction of their sound in Burden of Antlers. Leaning into the eclectic, 'weird', and, ultimately, heavy, the band focus on developing riffs and motifs across the track list, resulting into a more cohesive and thematically linked full-length offering.

Rock titans GRAVEYARD have officially unleashed their incendiary new single, ‘Tongue Tied’, available today on all digital platforms alongside an energetic official music video. The track serves as a driving second preview of their highly anticipated seventh studio album, Fever, arriving October 9th worldwide via Nuclear Blast Records.

Shaking off the gloomier, introverted atmosphere of 2023’s album Six, ‘Tongue Tied’ shifts the band into high gear. Today, Five Finger Death Punch released various physical editions of their brand-new 10th studio album, Legacy, which arrived digitally on July 31 via Better Noise Music. Celebrating two decades of Five Finger Death Punch, each physical variant stands out as a singular collectible, arriving as the band continues its current North American leg of the 20th Anniversary World Tour through October 23.

"The whole video concept was made by our friend Jens De Vos from Panda Productions. He wanted to make a video clip that was not mainly based on quick editing and fast camera movements. Instead, he chose a more cinematic way of filming. It resulted in a video that feels like you're watching a movie moreso than a music video. Something completely different. We also want to make clear that there was no AI used for the special effects in the video. Everything is real work done by human beings."

Pittsburgh's LOWSUNDAY turns loneliness into darkwave seduction on 'Someone To Talk To'

US darkwave-shoegaze pioneers Lowsunday lean straight into the heavy ache of isolation on their intoxicating new single, 'Someone to Talk To', exploring the painful tension between the desperate need for connection and the harsh realization that the person we trust may not be who they seem.

Following the adrenaline-infused 'You’re So Wired' and 'This Is Not Heaven', the new single is lifted from their scorching 'Low Sunday Ghost Machine - Black EP' recently released via Projekt Records, the very label that supported them before disbanding decades ago. Wrapping listeners in a shadowy, dreamlike atmosphere, this song turns heartbreak and disillusionment into something strangely serene.

The lyrics follow someone reaching out for companionship while getting caught in a web of deception, emotional dependence, and misplaced trust. It hits on a central truth about chronic loneliness: how it can cloud our judgment, causing us to mistake basic attention for genuine care and completely overlook warning signs until the truth is impossible to ignore. The repeated declarations of love set against accusations of cruelty capture the song’s core emotional contradiction, showing how attachment can survive even after trust has been destroyed.

Formed initially as Low Sunday Ghost Machine back in 1994, the band emerged as retro-futurist pioneers, blending darkwave and shoegaze long before either genre experienced its modern revival. After a nearly 25-year hiatus, Lowsundayresurfaced in 2025 as a duo featuring original members Shane Sahene on vocals, guitars, synth, bass, and drums, alongside Bobby Spell on bass, guitars, and drums.

Their return was cemented by extended 30th and 25th-anniversary re-releases of their 1996 debut album 'Low Sunday Ghost Machine' and the 1999 masterpiece 'Elesgiem' through Projekt Records, followed closely by their late 2025 ‘Low Sunday Ghost Machine - White EP', which ranked second on Post-Punk.com's best EPs list. Now, the 'Black EP' -- their second release of all-new material released since 1999 -- serves as the darker counterpart and definitive statement to that release.

"This song goes into darker, more abstract places," explains Shane Sahene, talking about interacting with people who walk through life handing out broken hearts as a form of exchange. "The figurines with the eyeball heads almost suggest being naive—that we sometimes think with our eyes and not our heads—that we can love at face value and totally miss the underlying reality that some people actually don't want to be loved. As the song goes, 'when you said you had my back, it was your first attack.'"

Shane Sahene also notes the curious irony of the track: "It makes us very happy to play. It’s so dark in concept that it emotionally feels like being in a calm ocean at night or walking into a cave."

The release is further anchored by a striking companion music video crafted by creative partner Jer Herring. "This video perfectly captures the delicate coldness, detachment, and loneliness of this song," says Bobby Spell. "Jer has a way of drawing on the essence of a song and bonding it with imagery that demonstrates isolation and miscommunication in a variety of modern scenarios."

Blending shimmering, pristine textures with infectious choruses, Lowsundaybridges three decades of distinct sonic legacy with a renewed creative clarity. The 'Black EP' is available now across digital platforms like Spotify and Apple Music, with a physical vinyl edition (limited to 200 copies) available through Bandcamp.

Nytt Land Premiere Ritual of Stone Sun (Live 2026)

For more than 20 years, Nytt Land have followed their living, breathing connection with ancient traditions and beliefs. Earlier this year, on March 22nd, the dark folk family duo of Natalia and Anatoly Pakhalenko welcomed the spring equinox with a career-spanning live performance in Moscow. Now, fans around the world can partake in this shamanic ritual with their new live album Ritual of Stone Sun (Live 2026).

Much like the symbol of the sun itself, Ritual of Stone Sun traces back through Nytt Land’s history. The dark folk family duo’s new live album spans from the throat singing and shamanic drums of their early Nordic cycle to their most recent explorations of the ancient percussion and vocal traditions that are performed by Siberian shamans to this day.

Lead single “Ragnarök” remains a core pillar for Nytt Land’s live ritual since first appearing on the duo’s 2018 album, Oðal. Anatolly’s throat singing and mystical talharpa recall scenes from a Nordic epic. “U-Gra”, a more recent fan favorite, calls out in dedication to ancient Siberia with pounding drums and Natalie’s hypnotic chanting. In the five years since the song was released off the 2021 album Ritual, it has been played more than 3 million times on YouTube and Spotify.  

The full video of Nytt Land’s March 2026 performance in Moscow includes three songs that do not appear on Ritual of Stone Sun. “Taiga”, “Totem” and “Tygir Tayii (Heavenly Sacrifice)” are all featured on the duo’s latest studio album, Aba Khan, which was released this February by Prophecy Productions.

After signing with Season of Mist in May of 2026, Nytt Land announced Ritual of Stone Sun (Live 2026). Recorded and filmed in Moscow on March 22, 2026, the live album is dedicated to the beginning of spring and the awakening of nature. The tracklist spans from their 2026 single “Equinox” to “Ragnarök” and other songs from their early Nordic cycle.

FALSIMONIAN Release New Single "Judgment" With Visualizer, Ahead of Forthcoming EP 'For Survival'

Melodic death metal quartet FALSIMONIAN have released their most experimental single offering, "Judgment" alongside a visualizer created by audio-visual artist Brian Pinke aka pinkenoise. The track delivers a sonic fusion of death metal, progressive metal, and jazz. FALSIMONIAN's forthcoming EP, For Survival, is scheduled to arrive independently on November 7, 2026.

FALSIMONIAN is pleased to announce an exciting collaboration with audio-visual artist Brian Pinke, out of South Carolina. Pinke performed multiple reactive takes to the track using a modular synthesizer connected to his custom video generating rig. He edited the takes to create the final version, resulting in a bespoke analog video experience.  

Each video performance is unique and impossible to replicate, and the intricate analog circuitry creates glitch-like art that is both haunting and beautiful fusing retro and modern aesthetics.

The US and Mexico based melodic death metal band FALSIMONIAN infuse their dynamic heavy sound with influences from Mexican folk and Latin-American roots music, as well as progressive elements and jazz. Centered around a fictional, dystopian world, the upcoming EP considers the everyday impact onto individuals who are living under the threat and fear of a world-ending catastrophe.

For Survival was produced by Jesus Fuentes Valverde, with mixing and mastering by Gil Andrade. Drums engineering was undertaken by Ruben Sanchez at Urvn Studios, with guitars and keyboards recorded by Jesus Fuentes Valverde and vocals recorded by Erick Valverde. Guitar and vocal editing, and bass programming, was by Jesus Fuentes Valverde. Additional guitars on "Limitless", "Judgment" and "For Survival" were recorded and edited by Cesar Robles. 

All artwork photography for the EP and single releases are from X-Rays Erick Valverde has taken over the last 10 years. The artworks utilize original photographs of a colorful sunset as the light source behind the X-Rays. These colors are commonly seen in the desert skies of the US/Mexico border. Ariadne Willis adjusted the photographs for the layout and design of the EP and single covers. About FALSIMONIAN:

Rooted in melodic death metal, FALSIMONIAN began as the brainchild of Jesus Fuentes and Erick Valverde in 2024, who welcomed Cesar and Mauricio in 2025 completing the band's line-up. Their sound is unique to the members' life experiences as bi-cultural individuals hailing from the harsh desert in the US-Mexico border. 

With members based out of El Paso, Texas, USA; Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, USA; and Leon, Guanajuato, Mexico, FALSIMONIAN incorporate genre influences from Mexican folk and Latin-American roots music, as well as jazz. Musically, the band draw inspiration from metal acts including OPETH, DARK TRANQUILLITY, DREAM THEATER, CHILDREN OF BODOM, and BORN OF OSIRIS.

Today, GIRISH AND THE CHRONICLES share their new single and official video, “A New Spark,” ahead of the release of their new album ‘Disintegrate,’ scheduled for release on November 20th via Frontiers Music Srl.

 

Girish Pradhan states:

“It was a small idea that I had recorded back in 2019 during the ‘Rock The Highway’ era, and now it has finally found its home in our new album. I think this is the highlight of the album for all of us. There are times in life when we feel stuck, surrounded by negativity, and desperate for new beginnings. ‘A New Spark’ is a song about the search for that ‘spark,’ an inspiration, which helps us shed the darkness and gather strength and courage to explore new possibilities in life. There is a whole other world out there.”

Wolves At The Gate have quietly and naturally evolved since their emergence out of the Midwest in 2008. Auckland-based industrial alt-pop artist Vana returns today with brand new single “Bleeding Heart”, out now via Sumerian Records. Following previous singles “Pray” and “In Your Name”, the release lands at the front end of a stacked US live run, with Vana hitting Riot Fest and Louder Than Life this weekend before joining the returning Hollywood Undead, In This Moment, I See Stars and Melrose Avenue on the returning Taste Of Chaos tour across the US beginning September 22.

Since signing with Sumerian Records in 2025, Vana has been introducing the dark, lore-driven world surrounding her forthcoming debut album. Earlier this year, Vana completed her first US headline run, The Lady In Red Tour, which sold over 15,000 tickets. NYHC Crossover Pioneers CRO-MAGS Unleash New Version of 1985 Demo Favorite "Everybody's Gonna Die (2026)"

Today, September 16th, is the 40th anniversary of the iconic CRO-MAGS debut ‘The Age of Quarrel’ and the seminal New York hardcore outfit, fronted by Harley Flanagan, is proudly launching their new version of "Everybody's Gonna Die (2026).” Taken from the 1985 demo, and featured on the upcoming album 'The Age of Quarrel: 40 Years of Quarrel,' the track is a tribute to their unforgettable 1986 debut.

Written by Harley in 1985, "Everybody's Gonna Die" didn't make the final track list for 'The Age of Quarrel,' though it proved to be a demo-era fan favorite. Now, the track reclaims its rightful spot on 'The Age of Quarrel: 40 Years of Quarrel,' alongside an official lyric video.

Forty years ago, New York City's CRO-MAGS defined the metal-punk crossover with their landmark 1986 album, ‘The Age of Quarrel.’ The intensity, influence, and groove of that record continue to resonate today, fueled by the band's enduring legacy and hard-earned reputation as one of heavy music's most volatile and influential acts. Led by founding bassist and vocalist Harley Flanagan, who assumed frontman duties beginning with 1989's ‘Best Wishes,’ CRO-MAGS bring ‘The Age of Quarrel’ full circle with a celebration of the album that started it all.

Joining Flanagan are original ‘AOQ’ guitarist Doug Holland and former CRO-MAGS/ Suicidal Tendencies guitarist Rocky George, plus Meg Mills, Zach Blair, and Arthur Rizk for fresh takes on classics including "Hard Times," "World Peace," and "Malfunction," along with the addition of the 1985 demo-era favorite "Everybody's Gonna Die." Flanagan is also joined by current band members Dominic Dibenedetto and Dave Sharpe. Drums on all tracks were handled by drum phenom Greyson Nekrutman. Produced and mixed by Arthur Rizk (Power Trip, Blood Incantation), ‘40 Years of Quarrel’ not merely revisits a pivotal crossover classic, but pours new fuel on the fire for old devotees and new converts to the CRO-MAGS cause. 

The decision to revisit 'The Age of Quarrel' began during the making of the "Wired for Chaos" documentary. Several songs had to be re-recorded for the film’s soundtrack because the original recordings couldn't be licensed, inspiring Harley Flanagan to re-record the entire album.

The project also provided an opportunity to address the complicated history surrounding the original record. None of the musicians who performed on 'The Age of Quarrel' were ever paid or received an accounting of the album’s sales. For years, Flanagan tried to reunite the original lineup to re-record the album and reclaim the rights to 'The Age of Quarrel' and 'Best Wishes' through the Copyright Reversion Act, but couldn't bring everyone together before that window closed.

For the new recording, Flanagan brought together friends, current bandmates, and musicians from other bands to celebrate an album that has impacted generations of fans. Forty years later, everyone who wrote the songs will finally be paid through ASCAP and BMI, with the remaining proceeds going to charity.

The project is Flanagan’s way of honoring the music, its creators, and the fans who have carried these songs forward for four decades while putting the past behind him. The songs belong to the fans. Love wins. The quarrel is over.

The history of Harley Flanagan and his band CRO-MAGS is integral not just to the history of hardcore, but to modern metal, rock, and punk itself. With roots stretching from the shadow of Warhol and the Velvets to CBGB’s hardcore matinees and L’Amour Brooklyn thrash-a-thons, all the way through current generations of punk and extreme metal, CRO-MAGS are the connective tissue. Just ask the likes of Dave Grohl, Green Day, and Turnstile. CRO-MAGSstand side by side with Black Sabbath, Motörhead, and Metallica as both an influence and a gamechanger.

The brainchild of a 14-year-old Harley Flanagan, CRO-MAGS began in 1981 while Flanaganwas playing drums for The Stimulators. By 1982/83, he had recorded the primal CRO-MAGSdemos — four songs that would become the blueprint for the seminal 1986 release, 'Age of Quarrel.' Initially a solo vision, Flanagan wrote and played all of the music himself. In 1985, alongside guitarist Parris Mayhew, vocalist John Joseph McGowan, and drummer Mackie Jayson, the genre-defining 'Age of Quarrel' demo was recorded. The full-length album followed in 1986, with Doug Holland of Kraut joining on second guitar.

Explosive both on and offstage, CRO-MAGS have had a tumultuous history, to put it mildly. Through multiple lineups, six studio albums beyond the original demos, and more than four decades of worldwide touring, CRO-MAGS remain one of the most iconic bands in American hardcore and metal. 

EIVØR - finds solace within the imperfect in new song 'Spøkilsir / Revenants'

Faroese luminary singer-songwriter Eivør has unveiled a new track from her upcoming studio project, Tungl, due out on October 16th. Today's release Spøkilsir / Revenants weaves hypnotic dream-pop and trip-hop textures into an evocative meditation on embracing the ghosts of our past.

Eivør conveys about the song:
“In ‘Spøkilsir / Revenants,’ we find relief in the imperfect.

I think we all carry ghosts. Things in the past we would have liked to have handled differently or little flaws within ourselves we try to hide from the world. But often when we learn to fully embrace each other’s flaws, quirks and darker sides, they become endearing. We become more patient and forgiving, not only towards each other, but also towards ourselves.”

Eivør adds:

“The music video was created by my dear friend Gwenaël Akira, whose enthusiasm and dedication always make working with him inspiring. We wanted to create an inner world, a reflection of the voices, shadows and different versions of ourselves that live inside our heads. Gwenaël conceived a mirrored box, almost like a room inside the mind, and an incredible team of artists in the Faroe Islands brought it to life.”

Tungl – a Faroese word for ‘moon’ – sees Eivør reach further into elemental realms than ever before. To celebrate the release of Tungl, Eivør will present three special album release concerts in October. Eivør will be playing two consecutive nights at Nordic House in Tórshavn, Faroe Islands, on 16 and 17 October, before she returns to Harpa's Eldborg Hall in Reykjavík, Iceland, on 23 October for a unique performance featuring special guest musicians in one of the Nordic region's most iconic concert halls. These intimate events will offer audiences a rare opportunity to experience Tungl performed in a special setting before Eivør embarks on her extensive international tour.

Eivør will also be undertaking an extensive headline tour across North America later this year, and across Europe and the UK into 2027.

For over two decades, Faroese artist Eivør has been regarded as one of the most bewitching and fearless voices to have emerged from the Nordic music scene. Ranging across rock, pop noir, jazz and folk to electronica over the course of 11 solo albums, various collaborations, live albums and soundtrack work including The Last Kingdom, God of War and God of War Ragnarök, her musical path has revealed both a restless, explorative spirit and a singer deeply connected to her Faroese roots, earning her the Nordic Council Music Prize along the way.

It’s testament to the singular yet universal nature of her music that her fanbase has grown to include metalheads and the Norse pagan folk scene – for whom her startling voice, hide drum and throat-chant incantation, Trøllabundin, has become an unofficial anthem – as well as the mainstream, all instinctively understanding that music coming from a place of true authenticity knows no boundaries.

If Eivør’s last album, Enn, marked the beginning of a darker, more atmospheric phase, her forthcoming release, Tungl – the Faroese word for ‘moon’ – and her first for the powerhouse German metal label Nuclear Blast, sees her reach further into elemental realms than ever before. Thy Catafalque Announce New Album 'XIII: Sárga erdő"

Today, Thy Catafalque, the two-time Fonogram winning project of Tamás Kátai, is announcing its thirteenth album, XIII: Sárga erdő.

On XIII: Sárga erdő (Yellow Forest), Kátai wanders through an old, half-remembered time from a quietly expansive direction. Thy Catafalque’s new album features more than 30 collaborators, including a 20-person choir and, for the first time in the project’s history, a live drummer. However, the folk and classical elements that flooded 2024’s XII: A gyönyörű álmok ezután jönnek are handled here with a lighter touch. Just as a forest doesn't explain its colors, the album turns inside you, until you look up to discover that you’re  somewhere new.

Written and produced by Kátai, lead single "Búcsú a piros madártól" (A Farewell to the Red Bird) opens XIII: Sárga erdő on a note of departure and resignation. A voice calls after something already gone, its sound swallowed by fog and distance. Live drums sit under layered vocals, kamancheh and lead guitar, giving the song a heavier, more physical pull than its title suggests.

Kátai shot the music video for "Búcsú a piros madártól" himself in the woods a 10-minute walk from his family home in Makó, Hungary. Sitting beside the river Maros, these woods are the same stretch of ground where Thy Catafalque’s very first video was filmed 25 years ago (and where another is already in the works).

In the video, live footage from Thy Catafalque's shows in Brazil, France and Hungary is cut together with hand-made and digital animation, left rough by design. "I wanted to keep it that way," Kátai says, "because it has a more personal touch."

Sárga erdő, out this autumn via Season of Mist, was recorded across various locations and at Miracle Sound Szeged with Gábor Vári again handling engineering, mixing and mastering. It marks another first for the project: real drums, played rather than programmed, for the first time in Thy Catafalque's history. Thirty-four musicians and vocalists appear across the record, along with a twenty-voice male choir, but the folk and classical textures that flooded XII—sitar, kamancheh, zither, strings—are handled with a lighter touch here, chosen with more precision for the moments that call for them. There's no unifying story across the twelve tracks, only that same felt sense of wandering through old, half-remembered time. A forest doesn't explain its colours—it just keeps turning them, until you look up and you're standing somewhere new.

Greek psychedelic rock visionaries VILLAGERS OF IOANNINA CITY have unveiled a brand-new music video for "Requiem," another striking cut from their forthcoming studio album, Venceremos, out this Friday via Napalm Records.

With the release of Venceremos just days away, the album is drawing remarkable acclaim from the international music press. It has claimed several leading soundcheck positions and "Album of the Month" honors across Europe, while VILLAGERS OF IOANNINA CITY currently grace the cover of METAL HAMMER Greece with an extensive feature on their new chapter.

GÅTE Announced as Winners of John Lennon Songwriting Competition

Gåte are one of the most accomplished group of artists to come out of Norway. The band have topped the Norwegian charts, won a Norwegian Grammy and represented Norway in the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest with their groundbreaking mix of Nordic folk and modern rock. Now, as fans around the world anticipate the upcoming release of their sixth studio album and first for Season of Mist, they are proud to celebrate another career milestone.    

Today, Gåte are announcing that their recent single “Sannsiger” has won the grand prize in the World category during Session I of The John Lennon Songwriting Contest. Released in April 2026 upon signing with Season of Mist, “Sannsiger” sets the stage for the ancient legends and folk narratives that the band explore on Sigil by weaving Hardanger fiddle and nyckeharpa into their contemporary sound. The song features guest vocals from Maria Franz of Season of Mist labelmates Heilung.    

“We are deeply honored to be selected as winners of The John Lennon Songwriting Contest”, Gåte says. “This award means a lot to us, especially since ‘Sannsiger’ marks a new direction for our band. The song is driven by the nyceklharpa and a simple guitar loop that our guitarist Magnus Børmark recorded on his phone. From that recording grew a song about the truth-tellers throughout our shared history and how society in every age seems to feel the need to silence them”.

“‘Sannsiger’ hit me from the very first moment that I heard it”, Heilung vocalist Maria Franz said upon the song’s release. “Its raw energy immediately resonated with me. I’ve been a fan of Gåte for many years, so accepting the invitation was a no-brainer. The band were wonderful to work with, and I’m very excited to hear the rest of their upcoming album”.

Winners of The John Lennon Songwriting Contest receive prizes from Taylor Guitars, Genelec and other companies. One 2026 Grand Prize winner will go on to win Song of the Year and $20,000.

Symphonic Black Metal Act VESSELES Present "Eternally Within Us (Reclaimed)", Announce Album 'Home (Reclaimed)'

Symphonic black metal project VESSELES has unveiled "Eternally Within Us (Reclaimed)." The single released alongside a visualizer lands ahead of the forthcoming full length, Home (Reclaimed), scheduled to arrive on March 26, 2027. 

On "Eternally Within Us (Reclaimed)," Valira shares: 
"The ritual track of the album, this offering delves into the birthing ritual in the Beneath with very grand verses enacting the mantras and a Latin section to truly make this the origin ceremony. With the newly reclaimed version, the verses have become elegantly harmonized, deepening the connection to Home."

VESSELES is an artistic outlet allowing Valira the space to express and explore who they are. Home (Reclaimed) confronts the discomfort and complexity of what 'home' is to someone who is not from this world. Now recorded with their own vocals, Home (Reclaimed) captures fully Valira's origins and purpose. In addition to the vocal performance, the album is filled with piano driven leads, grandiose symphonic compositions, dissonant passages and pained progressions encapsulating their experience. 

Home (Reclaimed) was produced, mixed and mastered by Nick Loiacono at Fang Studios, San Mateo, CA. The album performance was by Valira Nyvran (vocals, guitars, composition, orchestrations, lyrics), Ron Graves (bass) and Nikolas Brön (drums). Special guests include Antonio Giardina (session piano) and The Vicken Studios Orchestra (choir chants on “Eternally Within Us (Reclaimed)”). Album cover artwork is by Mark Erskine. 

About VESSELES:

Founded in 2023, VESSELES is the sonic vessel through which Valira speaks the language of their origins. As composer, orchestrator, and architect, they craft bleak, incantatory soundscapes that fuse serrated guitars with haunted symphonic textures. Their voice, at once seething and spectral, now rises with increasing clarity, layered across both backing and lead roles in studio and on stage. This is not performance. It is possession. Through sound, they cast off the human shell and step fully into their true form: demon, exile, survivor. 

VESSELES unveiled the debut EP I Am A Demon in 2024, a liturgy of identity dysphoria, rage, and revelation. The debut full length offering Home emerged from the shadows at the turn of 2026, a devastating and majestic sophomore release that delves deep into identity, belonging, and the mythos of a demon cast into the human world.

Devised as a personal vessel for Valira, a demon entity discovering their truth through music, VESSELES fuses symphonic black metal with cinematic grandeur and emotional weight. This project is not just about sound; it's about survival, transformation, and reclaiming power in a world that was never built for them.

GHØSTKID Unleash "I Destroyed You" Video — WATCH // Reveal New Lineup

The cat is out of the bag: With the release of the new music video for the track "I DESTROYED YOU," metal band GHØSTKID reveal their new band lineup after the original band members around vocalist Sushi departed in May 2026.

Sushi is now joined for GHØSTKID by Ian Duncan on guitar (Caliban); David Friedrich on drums (ex-Electric Callboy); and Axel One on bass (ex-WE BUTTER THE BREAD WITH BUTTER). With the new band lineup and the upcoming third album by the name FOLLOW THE WHITE RABBIT, to be released October 2, GHØSTKID do not just return but are meeting their fans for an entirely new era.

ABOUT GHØSTKID:
"Retrospectively, it was a very hard time, mentally. But I’m happy to speak openly about it. It was a time with feelings in between completely burning out and 'everything is incredible.'"

Looking back at the last six years, GHØSTKID has faced immense pressure, both personally and professionally. After a liberating start with his self-titled Century Media debut in 2020, there has never been a moment of silence in Sebastian “Sushi” Biesler's mind. The following years took his solo project on tours with Bad Omens, Black Veil Brides, and Blind Channel, headline tours and performances at festivals like Wacken Open Air and Summer Breeze, yet his mind kept playing tricks on him. Success came with doubts and pressure fueled by financial struggles, leadership responsibilities, mental health, and deep self-reflections through turbulent years. "I've learned a lot, made just as many mistakes, and truly underestimated what it means to stand on your own feet," says Sushi who reached a turning point in mid-2026.

After parting ways with his bandmates, he found new people to share his vision of a modern mix between metalcore, nu-metal, alternative rock, and now embarks on a new album cycle. Referring to Lewis Carroll's children’s novel Alice in Wonderland and the computer game "American McGee’s Alice", FOLLOW THE WHITE RABBIT is a journey through Sushi’s mind and offers unfiltered insights into his deepest thoughts and emotions. "Once you're going down the rabbit hole, you'll face many scary, weird, and disturbing things that will make you question your sanity. That's what this album is all about."

Once again produced by long-time-collaborator Sky van Hoff, GHØSTKID's third offering reignites Sushi’s versatile influences and shapes it into a modern sound. FOLLOW THE WHITE RABBIT is not just another fictional concept album, but a collection of eleven songs rooted in concrete situations of Sushi's life. Through turbulent years of doubt and struggle, GHØSTKID has become a vessel. Not only for Sushi, but for a growing community that finds strength and relief in the honesty of his music.
