156/Silence Unleashes New Album 'From A Distance' and Release Album Title Track Featuring Alex Reade of Make Them Su

It's a great day for 156/Silence fans! Today, the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania atmospheric metalcore powerhouse has released their new album 'From A Distance' via Pure Noise Records. 'From A Distance' is the quintet's sixth full-length and their most recent album release since 2024's critically acclaimed 'People Watching'. In celebration of today's news, the band has dropped the official music video for the album title track "From A Distance" featuring the inimitable Alex Reade of Make Them Suffer, who also appears in the video. When asked about the inspiration behind the song, the band shared:

"Love. Love is the most important thing in the world no matter what. Through all the bad and evil, there will always be more good. Even if it’s from a distance, the love we share is worth more than anything."

'From A Distance' is available now on all streaming platforms at the link here.                                                   Watch the "From A Distance (ft. Alex Reade)" music video below.

ABOUT 156/SILENCE

156/Silence makes intense, foreboding, and haunting music. Their songs are cinematic, blending brutality with intellect. They draw on real and imagined terror, all woven into melody and power. Vocalist and lyricist Jack Murray, guitarist and primary songwriter Jimmy Howell, guitarist Ryan Wilkinson, drummer Kyle O’Connell, and bassist Mike Ernst form a formidable unit, forged through shared passions and losses since the band’s earliest incarnation first formed in Pittsburgh in 2015.

2024’s crowd pleaser, People Watching, was a watershed moment, boasting breakout anthems Better Written Villain and Character Development (Cold Start).” Distorted Sound wrote, “There is enough in the band’s repertoire to not only keep you entertained but also keep you guessing.”

From a Distance, its spiritual sequel and the band’s first album with Pure Noise Records, ups the ante with gut-wrenching depth and atmosphere. Their sixth album is dark and ponderous yet triumphantly self-assured. (It follows the devastating standalone single Our Parting Ways,” released in 2025 in loving tribute to longtime bassist Lukas Booker, who passed away unexpectedly earlier that year.)

The group’s reputation as a live force of nature was earned on the road, where they deliver audience connection and sonic devastation while touring with the likes of The Devil Wears Prada, Chiodos, Fit For A King, Counterparts, Silent Planet, and The Acacia Strain, among other contemporaries.

Produced by Josh Schroeder (King 810, Lorna Shore, The Plot In You), From a Distance finds 156/Silence heavy as hell, while leaning into atmosphere, mood, and emotional impact even harder. The group reverently namechecks classic game scores like Resident Evil and Silent Hill, and the heady concepts of prestige TV like Twin Peaks (a sample from Apple TV’s Severance opens the album).

Murray’s lyrics remain keenly observational, personal, and incisive. From a Distance serves as a bold thematic companion to its predecessor. While earlier records often documented tension at close range, From a Distance observes from a wider vantage point, examining social behavior, celebrity worship, intrusive thoughts, and interpersonal connection with steely focus.

That authenticity is crucial to the band’s ever-growing audience.

No two 156/Silence albums are alike, from the unhinged frenetic chaos of Undercover Scumbag (2018) to the gloriously savage and technical Irrational Pull (2020), which Metal Hammer likened to Converge and Botch. The diverse ruminations found in Narrative(2022) took things even further. BrooklynVegan called that album “bolder and richer” and “an exciting step forward for [the] band.”

People Watching continued the prolific outfit’s tradition of steadfast evolution and innovation. Revolver praised the dark melodic edge of the Animal Farm-inspired Better Written Villain,” declaring, “156/Silence may have just penned an instant classic of their own canon.”

As Howell points out, they’d never really tried singing choruses and hooks prior to People Watching. “It went so well that we decided to double down on that.” From a Distance also features guest appearances from some formidable vocalists: Mike Hranica of The Devil Wears Prada, Alex Reade of Make Them Suffer, and Tony Castrati of Crippling Alcoholism. It also cranks up the soundscapes.

“I look toward bands we love that grew with their listeners, like Thrice and Bring Me The Horizon,” Howell says of their continuing creative mission. “They have a sound, but they grow and change. Some bands are comfortable repeating the same thing again. I don’t want to do that. I want to make you feel the way you do when you hear one of those important bands, without sounding like them.”

Murray describes the title track as “a love song” and “probably the most Twin Peaks-inspired song.”

From a Distance cuts deeper into People Watching’s lyrical heart. Proxy Idols tackles celebrity worship. Order & Entropycontemplates maintaining focus amid the utter devastation of things falling apart. Swept from Under (Call of the Void) sees Murraywrestling with intrusive thoughts. “They tell you to hurt yourself, even when you don’t feel bad,” he says. “It’s just the ever-looming shadow of weird and intrusive thoughts, and negativity, of just being swept from under by the void.”

From straightforward hard rock to synth-heavy experimentation and all the way back to the band’s deadly mathcore roots, 156/Silencehave established themselves as unbound by any genre limitation.

“We could go anywhere now, and that’s the goal,” Howell says. “Nothing is ever off the table.”

BEHEMOTH - Unleash New Single & Video 'In League With Satan' + New Release "I, Scvlptor" Out Now!

Polish extreme metal legends, BEHEMOTH, unleash 'In League with Satan', the second single from their new studio release, I, Scvlptor, which is out today via Nuclear Blast Records (digitally) and Massacre Records (physically). The music video for 'In League with Satan' was produced by the acclaimed Polish production collective Grupa 13. The song and the video feature very special guest, Shagrath of Dimmu Borgir.

Nergal commented on the new single:

“When we were looking for a name for our tour with Dimmu Borgir, I thought it would be great to use a timeless slogan and basically quote the gods of satanic rock’n’roll — Venom and “In League with Satan” perfectly fit my vision. I honestly don’t remember what came first — the idea for the tour name or the idea of recording the song itself. What matters is that we recorded it on seven-string guitars with Shagrath from Dimmu as a guest vocalist. The song gained a massive weight and a completely new dimension. We’re planning to play it live and I think our version turned into something truly powerful.”

'I, Scvlptor', which is out today, is an exclusive release featuring eight previously unreleased songs - seven new studio recordings and one live track. It is an autonomous body of work that bridges the band's foundational past with their present creative fire. The release features brand-new studio material embodying the full force of Behemoth's live energy and intensity. Two tracks - 'Rise of the Blackstorm of Evil' (from The Return of the Northern Moon, 1992) and 'In Thy Pandemaeternum' (from Pandemonic Incantations, 1998) - are newly re-recorded versions of early Behemoth material, reshaped with modern sonics while preserving their original spirit; a tribute to the bands who had a huge influence on Behemoth - 'In League With Satan' (originally by Venom, feat. Shagrath of Dimmu Borgir) and 'The Return of Darkness and Evil' (originally by Bathory, feat. Sakis Tolis of Rotting Christ). Available on CD, LP, MC and Limited-Edition Box Set through Massacre Records worldwide and digitally via Nuclear Blast Records.

Nergal commented:
We’re fucking excited about the release of I, Scvlptor. Even though it’s not a regular studio album and is, in fact, more of a compilation, the mere fact that it contains songs nobody has ever heard before makes it a significant release for us. What’s more, some of these tracks are likely a little different from what we offered on our last album, The Shit Ov God. That’s why we see I,Scvlptor as an important record — a connecting piece, a bridge between where we are now and whatever may come next in the distant future.

AIRBOURNE’S New Self-Titled Album Out Today: A “Big, Bombastic” Blast Of Pure Aussie Thunder

AIRBOURNE’s NEW self-titled studio album, out today, September 4th, is a true rock ‘n’ roll tale of no compromise, no sleep and still no ballads (or bullshit); a story fuelled by the riveted will of four musicians, brothers Joel & Ryan O’Keeffe, ably supported by Justin Street & Brett Tyrrell, to create a body of work that proudly offers a full 21 gun salute to hard rock’s glorious traditions, its heritage and its heartbeat, whilst keeping sights firmly trained on the road ahead.

To celebrate the album's release, the band has dropped their new video for the song 'Kid in a Candy Store.'

Watch the Video For 'Kid in a Candy Store' Below:

AIRBOURNE’s sixth studio album is the one that plants the flag deepest for everything the Aussie outfit stands for, their unwavering commitment to The Great Rock ‘n’ Roll Cause, leaving everything (apart from Lemmy’s Bar, of course) on the stage on a nightly basis.

“When I look up to the sky, rub the blood and sweat from my eyes

Hell, no, I ain't dead yet, as long as I can breathe, I can get…”  ‘Gutsy’

PRODUCED BY Brian Howes (who helmed 2013’s ‘Black Dog Barking’); engineered by Mike Fraser (who worked on 2010’s ‘No Guts. No Glory’ & 2016’s ‘Breakin’ Outta Hell’); mixed by Zakk Cervini (BMTH, Architects, Evanescence); and mastered by the legendary Ted Jensen‘Airbourne’ The Album is the statement, line in the sand recording that only one band could have made.

For staunch sons of Warrnambool, Joel & Ryanhere was the moment: to create not just the finest body of work in the Airbourne canon, but to raise the bar as high as possible in the name of the hard rock community; to seek out new turf, to protect the ground hard won by heroes past, some sadly fallen, and to both strengthen and celebrate the special, sacred bond with rock fans everywhere…

“Our aim from the start was to create something iconic, gargantuan,” states vocalist / guitarist Joel, “real blockbuster shit. It’s a rocket we’ve been building and building; we’ve filled it with fuel, now we’re ready to let it go.”

“We said, this is it, let’s make the oracle,” continues drummer Ryan, “and if we’re going to do it, no corner can be cut. All of the things we love most about rock‘n’roll are on this record. I firmly believe it’s our very best work…”

In order to embrace the mighty task, AIRBOURNE felt it wise to stay close to home, with Music Farm Studio in the “jungle” outside Byron Bay, South Eastern Australia, the chosen locale; not only does Music Farm host the original Neve console from Albert Studios in Sydney, the desk on which AC/DC, Rose Tattoo and The Angels recorded their classic early albums, but it’s also home to late AC/DC guitarist / founding member Malcolm Young’s eight-track Neve, and naturally both were put to full an’ fruitful use on the

AIRBOURNE sessions.

By choosing vintage gear (and recording to tape), these sessions were never going to be gremlin free, but as things turned out, technical issues were just a part of the story, with near cyclonic storms, deadly snakes and even deadlier super sized spiders (the fabled Big Boy!) adding to the list of perils. They say what doesn’t kill (or bite) you makes you stronger, and for musicians and studio team alike the overriding vision never blurred; nights around the fire pit were spent talking about the big, bold, bombastic albums they’d skipped their homework to listen to; those layered, beautifully crafted records, the recognised classics, that had made them rock fans in the first place…

Next stop, Hothouse Studios in Melbourne; here, all recording was completed alongside engineer / studio owner, Craig Harnath. Rounding things off at Hothouse was an easy choice to make; not only was it where the band had recorded their first EP, but the console, also a Neve, is from Alberts Studio 2, allowing the connection to prime rock history to be maintained.

The challenge was there. The game on.

‘Here She Comes’, one of the two Lange / Adams co-writes, the other being ‘Who Put The Rhythm In You?’, followed in late July, which brings us on a mighty wall of Eddie Van Halen inspired feedback to album focus track, ‘Bogotá’, complete with lashings of EVH ‘Frankenstein’ action, the first time Joel had wielded the instrument!

It’s surely impossible to be a guitarist and not realise the significance of EVH, who (along with Lemmy, Doc Neeson, John Bonham, Bon Scott, Little Richard, Malcolm Young & Ozzy) gets a hand on heart namecheck on album closer, ‘Send Me To Rock‘N’Roll Heaven’, the song that most clearly defines the album’s key themes of lifestyle and legacy; of artists being kept alive in the hearts and minds of fans; of the rock ‘n’ roll torch being passed from one generation to the next, the flame still burning…

‘When you play this riff, you give me back my hands

When you drop the needle, I'm back in the band…’  ‘Alive After Death (Last Plane Out)’

‘AIRBOURNE’. Made with passion. Made in Australia. The Great Barrier Riff.

Now officially out of its cage.

Wage War Announce New Album "LANDFALL" Out 10/9 + Band Shares Title Track

Florida's WAGE WAR — Briton Bond [lead vocals], Cody Quistad [rhythm guitar, clean vocals], Seth Blake [lead guitar], Chris Gaylord [bass], and Stephen Kluesener [drums] — continue to absolutely dominate 2026. After releasing the It Calls Me By Name EP this past spring, the band is now pleased to announce the new album Landfall, out digitally October 9 via Fearless Records. Pre-order it here.

The band has shared the visualizer for the vicious title track. Watch and listen below

Opening with a foreboding emergency broadcast-style alarm before erupting in a bludgeoning riff, Wage War continue to indulge their heaviest side with "Landfall." It's a groove-heavy, guitar-forward anthem that sounds like... vengeance. The hellbound screams of Bond are punctuated by Quistad's melodic singing, making it a gloriously unpredictable listen. Wage War are at their heaviest and most melodic — EVER — with this track, as they continue to push their own boundaries. It's Wage War, but bigger, stronger, louder, and as impactful as ever.

"'Landfall' is a song about imminent danger and the realization that we aren't in control," Wage War offer. "Referencing our Florida roots, the hurricane imagery became a way of talking about that feeling of being completely at the mercy of something bigger than yourself. Musically, we wanted the verses to feel heavy and threatening, with the chorus being somber and inevitable."

Wage War will return to U.S. stages for a headline tour this fall, with We Came As Romans, Varials, and Cane Hill as support. The "Emergncy Broadcast" tour kicks off October 25 in San Antonio and runs through Novemebr 27 in Orlando in the band's native Florida. Get tickets here.

Liverpool stalwarts The Room explore the dark side of Modern Life on new ‘Doom Pop!’ album

Liverpool post-punk pioneers The Room present their third album 'Doom Pop!', released via 9x9 Records, as well as the video for the album focus track ‘The Room’. Inspired by the strange days in we are living through, ‘Doom Pop!’ explores the rise of authoritarianism, disinformation, war and paranoia. But it equally draws inspiration from science fiction, horror, and cinematic liminal spaces.

Recorded and mixed at Ark Studios in Liverpool, this album was co-produced by Dave Jackson and Steve Powell (Michael Head & the Red Elastic Band, Autour De Lucie, Echo & The Bunnymen).

"We aimed at shorter, sharper, more pop-oriented songs than on our previous album 'The Telling', which was a continuous story told in eleven songs without repetition or distinct choruses. The ‘pop’ element mainly harks back to the roots of our music, updating our original spiky, post-punk independent sound with Ethan Kyme’s keyboard stylings. Lyrically, it is a response to the current climate of emerging fascism and paranoia that increasingly colonizes all media," says Dave Jackson.

"While the songs ‘Drones’, ‘Drill, Baby, Drill’, ‘Continent of Lies’ and ‘Doom Patrol’concern the paranoia and destruction emanating from worldwide warmongers and oligarchs, other songs are influenced by a love of science fiction, horror and liminal spaces. ‘The Room’ is about the film 'Stalker' and a man who guides ‘tourists’ through a Zone corrupted by alien technology. ‘Temptation Harbour’ references three films by the late director Bela Tarr.

Earlier, the band shared the lead track 'Drill, Baby, Drill!' and 'Things Have Learnt to Walk that Ought to Crawl', an adrenaline-fueled blast of melodic post-punk driven by jangling guitars, relentless momentum, and distinctive drumming. In re-envisioning their 1982 cult classic, The Room revisits their roots, exploring themes that remain topical today, proving the enduring power of this music,

'Doom Pop!' is The Room's third album with 9x9 Records, preceded by 'Restless Fate' (2023) and 'The Telling'(2024). This a collection of eleven hook-driven post-punk songs confronts the anxieties of modern life, balancing political urgency with imagination and nostalgia.

"'Things Have Learnt to Walk that Ought to Crawl' is a the only older song re-envisioned for this album, and one of only three 1980s songs by The Room to survive in our live set. We decided to re-record and release it as it fits neatly into our new repertoire with its exhilarating jangly forward thrust, and also highlights Clive Thomas’ unique drumming," says Dave Jackson.

‘No One Comes Here From The Town’ is a response to Shirley Jackson’s 'The Haunting Of Hill House', and ‘Trespassing’ attempts to sum up Dave Jackson’s unproduced science fiction screenplay 'Trespassing' in a 3-minute pop song, tangentially influenced by Dave Bowie’s ‘Drive In Saturday’.

In a lighter, nostalgic vein, ‘Magic Games’ tells the story of a child in his grandmother’s parlour in the early 1960s, while ‘Stories’ is about an inspirational oral storyteller who once said, “Stories told thrice become our possessions”.

Favourites of John Peel, The Room was formed by singer Dave Jackson and bassist Becky Stringer in 1979, during the golden years of northern English post-punk. Reforming in 2022 after disbanding in 1985, they are now joined by guitarist Darren Brown, keyboardist Ethan Kyme, and original drummer Clive Thomas. They have since performed at Shiiine On festival and Preston Pop Fest, and have toured or played with The Red Guitars, Blue Orchids, Trupa Trupa, and Estonia with Shelton San.

The Room recorded four John Peel sessions, appeared on The Whistle Test and worked with Television's Tom Verlaine and John Porter (Roxy Music, TheSmiths, Billy Bragg) on their 'In Evil Hour' LP (1984), aside from releasing three other albums ('Bitter Reaction' in 1980, 'Indoor Fireworks' in 1982 and 'Clear!' in 1983. Recordings from Janice Long's BBC Radio One programme and Saturday Live were used for the 1985 release 'Jackpot Jack' EP

The Room toured the UK and the USA, and performed with The Fall, The Birthday Party, Bauhaus, Southern Death Cult, Violent Femmes, Tom Verlaine, John Foxx and The Red Guitars. Following the band's split, Becky and Dave went on to form Benny Profane, Dust and Dead Cowboys. Dave has also recorded under his own name and as The Room in the Wood (with Paul Cavanagh).

As of September 4th, the 'Doom Pop!' album is out on CD and limited edition mixed eco-vinyl with both physical formats available in North America via Darla RecordsIt is also available digitallyincluding on Spotify, Apple Music and Bandcamp

LUTHER Share "Five of Cups" Video

September holds plenty in store for LUTHER: Coinciding with their live appearances at Reeperbahn Festival (for the "Spotlight on: Heavy Reeperbahn"/MoreCore.de showcase), Envol et Macadam Festival in Québec, Canada (alongside Hatebreed and Despised Icon), and Local Core Festival in Hamburg, the Berlin group presents the brand new single "Five of Cups."

Watch the video below:

"The lyrics tell the true story of a trip to Naples, where a vacation turns into an unexpected journey through mystical and folkloric experiences, including a prophetic tarot reading and a series of appearances of occult signs. These forced encounters trigger a harsh but inescapable revelation: Sometimes in life, no one is ever completely on your side, and many of those around you may only be there to pick at the remains," explains singer Leo Luther.

The track showcases a new facet of LUTHER's sound. Whereas the last single drew heavily from nu-metal and deathcore influences, "Five of Cups" explores progressive post-hardcore and melodic alternative metal — with a hint of emo. This sonic spectrum appeals to fans of bands such as Loathe, Knocked Loose, Poppy, Korn, Kim Dracula, and The Mars Volta.

Production, mix, and mastering were handled by Enrico Tiberi, current lead vocalist of The Ocean Collective.

LUTHER LIVE:
9/5 — Hamburg, DE — Local Core Festival
9/10–9/12 — Quebec City, QC — Envol et Macadam Festival (headlined by Bad Religion and Hatebreed)
9/18 — Hamburg, DE — Reeperbahn Festival
10/26— Berlin, DE — Female Fronted Is Not a Genre Festival

Pennsylvania's Robin Ross & Carmine Gontz run deep with haunting new single 'Blood Lines'

Some family ties run deeper than blood—and some songs make those connections impossible to ignore. Pennsylvania’s Robin Ross and vocalist Carmine Gontz tap into that haunting, timeless space on 'Blood Lines', a sweeping rock anthem where melodic guitars, rich harmonies, and an emotionally charged performance explore the bonds, memories, and legacies that bind generations together.

Written and performed by Robin Ross with Jack's Maze, 'Blood Lines' is powered by Bill Snyder on guitar, Scott Cowan on melodic guitar, Frank Cinquegrana on drums and Joe Torres on bass.

Released via Pennsylvania indie imprint RPM Entertainment, this single was recorded at Baa Baa Leaf Music Studio in Milford, Pennsylvania, where Ross produced and mixed it, working alongside famed master engineer Jonathan Duckett (Phillip Glass, Kenny G, David Sanborn).

Carmine Gontz is a rock artist known for his cinematic blend of gothic atmosphere, classic hard rock, and theatrical energy. The recipient of the Central Pennsylvania Music Award (CPMA) for Best Youth Artist, Carmine debuted with 'Planet 25', produced by Dan Malsch (Ghost, Motionless in White, Bowling for Soup). His new single 'Lost In Space' was produced by Matt Starr (Ace Frehely, Mr. Big) and features bass legend Rudy Sarzo (Quiet Riot, Ozzy Osbourne, Whitesnake) and drummer Mike Dupke (W.A.S.P., Dee Snider, Johh Mellencamp). Establishing himself as a rising voice in modern hard rock, Carmine is currently working on his debut album.

"Bloodlines survive through the years like sand in an hourglass. A new baby is born and a grandparent moves up in the sky. Everyday life moves on and the bloodline continues," says Robin Ross. "Life takes and gives the love of our heart as time passes. One day leads into the next and bloodlines find the root of humanity. Love life but do what one must do to survive throughout the bloodlines of generations."

Emerging from the New Jersey and New York music scenes in 1988, Robin Ross has grown into a central figure in the creative pulse of Milford, PA. A multi-faceted musician, songwriter, and producer for over thirty years, he has released numerous albums while designing and developing several recording spaces, including Triple R Studios and Sound Complex near NYC. He has since grown his current hub, Baa Baa Leaf Music into a creative sanctuary and production house.

In the early ’90s, Ross co-founded Laughing Jack (later renamed Jack’s Maze), praised for a progressive rock style echoing the grandeur of Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin. After years of an energy engineer career, 2021 marked a return to form, building Baa Baa Leaf Music from the ground up and reuniting with bandmates Frank Cinquegrana, Scott Cowan, and Joe Torres to record new material for the new album, titled 'Once in a Blue Moon', anticipated in autumn.

Just recently, Robin Ross & The Melodynes released the single "All I Want (Is A Lover)", a sun-drenched flower power pop tune, which was featured in the star-studded Apple TV+ and Peacock original series "Margo’s Got Money Troubles", starring Elle Fanning, Michelle Pfeiffer, Nick Offerman and Nicole Kidma. The soundtrack includes artists such as Dire Straits, Billy Idol, Madonna, Shania Twain and Reba McEntire.

Earlier this year, they also released their second album 'Mind Space', showcasing their own blend of indie and classic rock sounds, involving Wharton Tiers, JoEllen Gaetani, Katlyn Albrecht, Emery Rhodes, Tony Anniello, Joe Torres, TW Howell and Nancy Isola. In 2025, Ross' other project Robin Ross & The TW Howlers also released their 'Back To The Forest' EP.

As of August 11, 'Blood Lines' is available on digital platforms, including Apple Music, SpotifyAmazon and Ban dcamp.

Swedish Metal Maestros WORMWOOD Unveil Official Music Video for "PURPOSELESS GEOMETRY"

Today, WORMWOOD, one of Sweden’s most distinctive and internationally acclaimed metal bands, proudly unveils the music video for "PURPOSELESS GEOMETRY," the second track taken from the recently released EP ‘Å,’ out now via Black Lodge Records / Sound Pollution. The EP contains two long tracks in classic WORMWOOD fashion, while also introducing new elements that have found their way into the sound as WORMWOOD continues to evolve as a band.

“PURPOSELESS GEOMETRY” portrays Stockholm from the margins of society, a city of buildings, roads, bridges, and other infrastructure created to bring structure and direction to human existence. Yet as the sense of belonging fades, so too does the meaning of the surrounding world. What once symbolized function, progress, and purpose gradually dissolves into empty geometric forms within an environment where the individual has become alienated from both society and themselves.

In the video, the words take center stage, accompanied by slow, almost documentary-like footage captured throughout Stockholm and its outskirts.

The video features previously unreleased handheld footage from the filming of the “YRA | EXTAS” music video, starring actress Astrid Hallén, alongside aerial drone footage shot by Svartna Film. The video also includes a separate acting performance by Crister Claesson.

The result serves as a visual extension of the song’s central theme: humanity placed amid the monumental structures of the modern city, while their original purpose slowly erodes and disappears.

Watch the Official Music Video for "PURPOSELESS GEOMETRY" Below:

With four full-length albums, one EP, a live release, and now the forthcoming ‘Å,’ WORMWOOD have built a catalog that continually evolves while deepening the band’s artistic identity. Their work has received widespread recognition: two nominations for “Rock/Metal of the Year” at P3 Guld, strong placements on the official Swedish charts, and recurring international praise from metal media around the world. WORMWOOD have also appeared on several global “Album of the Year” lists – a testament to their growing influence.

WORMWOOD’s reputation, however, is not confined to the studio. The band has toured extensively across Europe, performed at major festivals, and completed their own headline tours. Their audience continues to grow steadily, particularly in Germany, France, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and the United States, where their cinematic music videos and strong digital presence further enhance their visual and musical identity.

Today, WORMWOOD stands as one of the most forward-thinking and compelling bands in Swedish metal. With ‘Å,’ they take another step in their artistic evolution – one that promises to captivate both loyal fans and new listeners around the world.

Order 'Å' HERE

Produced by Sverker Widgren & Tobias Rydsheim

Since forming in Stockholm in 2014, WORMWOOD has developed a sound as unmistakable as it is atmospheric. With their characteristic fusion of extreme metal, Scandinavian melancholy, folk influences, and cinematic storytelling, the band has created a sonic landscape that both moves and mesmerizes. Their music effortlessly shifts between grand, epic scope and brutally grounded intensity – a balance few bands truly master.

Nine – Vocals

Tobias Rydsheim – Guitar, Keys, Vocals

Heavy Rock Force AUDREY HORNE Reveal Title Track "Achilles"

Norwegian hard rock force AUDREY HORNE unleashes a hard-hitting new single with "Achilles," the title track of the band's upcoming 8th studio album, out this Friday, September 4, 2026 via Napalm Records! Roaring guitars meet impactful rhythms, all topped with powerfully captivating vocals. The band showcases the more progressive side of its sound on this ambitious single, arriving with a lyric video, and the strong sonic contrasts support the lyrics. Following the release of Achilles, AUDREY HORNE are set to head out on a European headline tour next month.

AUDREY HORNE on "Achilles":
"'Achilles' is a song about the 'us vs. them' situation in today's increasingly polarized world. It is also the title track from our new album and shows a bit more progressive side of the band. When we started recording the album, this song stood out immediately as a perfect opening track, and it has an energetic drive that will fit us perfectly on stage as well. We hope you guys like it as much as we do. Peace and love, AUDREY HORNE."

Pre-Order Your Copy of Achilles NOW.

AUDREY HORNE's latest studio albums Blackout (2018) and Devil’s Bell (2022) received critical praise internationally, and the band was even awarded a Spellemannprisen (Norwegian equivalent to a Grammy) for their 2005 debut album. With previous international tours both as headliners and together with bands such as Papa Roach and Backyard Babies, as well as support slots for AC/DC and Mötley Crüe, AUDREY HORNE are one of Norway's most interesting rock exports.

The new album features 11 multi-faceted tracks, ranging from high-energy, heavy rock pieces to more melodic and progressive songs, leaving no questions about the songwriting capabilities of this five-piece, which consists of vocalist Toschie, guitarists Ice Dale (Enslaved) and Thomas Tofthagen, bassist Espen Lien and drummer Kjetil Greve.

Following the hard-hitting title track "Achilles," more hit material is delivered through songs like "God Damn Beautiful"; this groovy Thin Lizzy-inspired track brings bass player Espen Lien to center stage on lead vocals. The band stays true to its sound on the high-energy rock 'n' roll number "Insanity" that features a catchy chorus and twin guitars — and a gripping storyline inspired by the classic Iron Maiden tune "Hallowed Be Thy Name!" Closing track "New Star Falling" wraps the album up beautifully, showcasing the melodic side of AUDREY HORNE's sound.

With Achilles, AUDREY HORNE return with an atmospheric heavy rock album that combines classic '70s and '80s influences with lyrical themes spanning escapism to commentary on the instability of the world we live in. A perfect fit for both rock radio and live stages!

Kingdom Collapse Drop "Victorious" Video Feat. Wrestler Thunder Rosa

San Antonio, Texas-based rockers KINGDOM COLLAPSE have unleashed the beast! The band has shared the video for new single "Victorious," featuring champion AEW professional wrestler and former MMA star Thunder Rosa.

Watch it below.

The song is a high octane rager that comes out of the gates hard. The band deftly strikes a balance between aggression and melody, fearlessly toeing the line and kicking some ass. The video features Thunder Rosa doing what she does best — kick some ass.

"'Victorious' is a signature Kingdom Collapse anthem that we did for our diehards," states singer Jonathan Norris. "Big riff, sing-along chorus, and a resilient attitude."

As for the accompanying video, bassist Aaron Smith says, "Since this one has such a motivational vibe, we invited our friend and AEW wrestler Thunder Rosa to be featured in the video. She's a badass so we knew she'd do a great job."

The song lives on their debut album Survivor, which will be released on October 30 via Mascot Records.

Pre-save it HERE.

Kingdom Collapse have hit the road hard in the U.S. and have spent the last month touring with Nashville rockers RED, and they will pause for breath before storming the festival stages and touring with Royale Lynn in July and then spending August on the road with Of Virtue and Savage Hands. Catching them live will make you understand how that kinetic energy has seen them share stages with the likes of Three Days Grace, Nothing More, 10 Years, From Ashes To New, Fire From The Gods, Saliva, Hinder, ATTACK ATTACK!, and Adelita's Way.

Kingdom Collapse originated from the childhood friendship between Norris and Smith, who grew up together, discovered music around the same time, and recognized its power after Jonathan lost his father at eight years old.

In order to cope, he immediately retreated into music and the embrace of a small community, which included Aaron's family. This was the turning point where both boys realized the power of friendship, the power of music, and their potential together. "I saw my father die right in front of my eyes," Jonathan sighs. "I didn't even know what was happening. In some ways, that darkness has never left. Music became my light. I connected with it, and it gave me hope for the future. Kingdom Collapse is a band that carries that torch."

The band's current single is Top 30 at Active Rock and building.

METAL ICON KAI HANSEN RELEASES NEW SINGLE "WAIT AND SEE"

With "Wait And See," Kai Hansen releases the third single from his upcoming solo album Born With A Hammer. Pre-order it here.

After the speed, freedom and rock 'n' roll spirit of "Welcome To Life," the new track turns towards the heavier side of the album and immediately feels darker, tighter and more intense.

At its core, "Wait And See" is driven by sharp riffs and a rhythm that keeps pressing forward, but there is also a subtle electronic pulse running underneath it. That slight electronic edge gives the song a restless, modern feel without taking away any of its weight. When the chorus opens up, the track finds the unmistakable mix of power, melody and bite that has always made Hansen's songwriting so distinctive.

What stands out most is how alive the song feels. Hansen is not trying to recreate an earlier era or to prove that he can still play this kind of music. The riffs, the small electronic details. and the directness of the performance all sound instinctive. The point is not simply that he can still make music this forceful; it is that he clearly still wants to.

That balance gives “Wait And See” its own character. It is one of the harder and more forceful songs on Born With A Hammer, but the electronic touches, changing textures and strong sense of melody keep it from ever feeling one-dimensional.

The release is accompanied by a new video built from footage captured during a trip to Slovakia. Away from the usual stage setting, it shows Hansen driving a Mustang, traveling through the country and spending time in the studio, offering a rare, more personal glimpse of the person behind the music.

Born With A Hammer was produced by Eike Freese, Kai Hansen and Alexander Dietz. The album was recorded with Eike Freese on guitar, Heaven Shall Burn’s Alexander Dietz on bass, Carcass drummer Dan Wilding, and Induction guitarist Tim Hansen.

Across 10 songs, Born With A Hammer brings together powerful heavy metal, punk attitude, hard rock drive and strong melodies. Following "Feeding The Beast" and "Welcome To Life," "Wait And See" makes it clear that the album does not follow one fixed direction, while still sounding unmistakably like Kai Hansen throughout.

Following the worldwide success of Helloween’s recent reunion era and its major international tours, Born With A Hammer sees Kai Hansen return his focus to his own musical world. His history is naturally present in "Wait And See," but it never weighs the song down. This is not a metal icon looking backwards; it is Kai Hansen sounding fully engaged with what comes next.

ABOUT KAI HANSEN:
Kai Hansen is one of modern heavy metal’s most influential creative forces. As co-founder of Helloween and founder of Gamma Ray, he shaped the sound and spirit of power metal and continues to influence artists and fans worldwide. His work with Helloween has brought him back to the biggest stages around the globe, while Born With A Hammer reveals another side of his creative drive — personal, direct and fully charged.

Aussie Deathcore Titans TO THE GRAVE Unleash New Single "LIFE AMONG THE SEPTICS" + Video

Today, TO THE GRAVE, the world's preeminent vegan deathcore band, proudly unleash their new track, "LIFE AMONG THE SEPTICS," the fourth single taken from their upcoming BLKIIBLK debut album, 'LIBERATION FRONT,' set for release on October 2nd. The new single arrives alongside an official music video, available to view below.

On the new single, bassist Matt Clarke shares:

"This song was us leaning hard back into the same influences as our 'Director’s Cuts' album. It’s got all those elements in it: bouncy riffs, some fast stuff and just lots of dynamics. We’re looking forward to playing this one on the upcoming tours…that start today. Australia now, North America in two weeks!"

He continues, "For the video, we wanted to do something a bit different to the other performance videos. We got a bunch of our mates to come down and hang with us. We did something that’s somewhere between serious and fun."

Stream/Listen to "LIFE AMONG THE SEPTICS" HERE

Since forming in 2010, TO THE GRAVE have become one of Australia's most uncompromising heavy exports, earning acclaim for crushing releases including 'Global Warning,' 'Epilogue,' 'Director's Cuts,' and 2024's 'Everyone's a Murderer.' Armed with a singular mission to confront animal cruelty and environmental destruction through some of modern metal's most punishing deathcore, the Sydney outfit have forged a reputation for pairing unrelenting heaviness with fearless activism. Their live assault has taken them around the globe alongside Lorna Shore, Thy Art Is Murder, Shadow of Intent, Carnifex, Oceano, and more, with Revolver hailing them as "one of the country's heaviest exports" and Distorted Sound calling them "one of the most intense, enthralling bands the genre can offer."

Now, the band returns with 'LIBERATION FRONT,' their fifth album and BLKIIBLK debut, a statement of pure intent. Brutal and uncompromising in both sound and message, TO THE GRAVE transform their death metal-infused assault into a vehicle for activism, raging against animal cruelty and environmental destruction while delivering their most direct and fully realized work to date. From the breakdown-laden opener "MEAT THE HUMANS," 'Liberation Front'marks a ferocious return to the band's deathcore roots. While recent releases leaned further into hardcore, the new album embraces deathcore at its most savage and relentless.

Evans comments about the album:

"'LIBERATION FRONT' was born as a concept on tour last year in Australia after we decided we wanted to make the sequel to 'Director’s Cuts.' What came out was something between that and a more pissed off brother to 'Everyone’s A Murderer.' It’s got so many things I love about the band and a bit of everything pushed to 100 with a really bleak kind of aggression that’s just reaching for your throat the entire time. Very keen to play some of these songs live and it’s an exciting chapter to add.”

Pre-Order 'LIBERATION FRONT' HERE

TO THE GRAVE will be kicking off "The Sawed Off Suffering Tour" with co-headliner Crown Magnetar on September 17th in Chicago. The entire run will be supported by Face Yourselfand on select dates by the likes of I Declare War, Tracheotomy, Backbiter, Squelching and Ameonna (the new band featuring former Chelsea Grin members Alex Koehler, Jake Harmond and Pablo Viveros, making their live debut). For a full list of dates, please see below.

Bassist Matt Clarke exclaims:

“These are the heaviest lineups we’ve ever put together, and we can’t wait for these shows across North America and at home in Aus. For North America, all these bands have a different approach, but the one thing that brings it all together is intensity! We’re stoked to be teaming up with Crown Magnetar for this run, and having Face Yourself on the package just makes it more crushing. We’re very excited that we get to play with OG Chelsea Grin members back on-stage for the first time in Ameonna, and I Declare War hopping on for some shows is awesome! Backbiter, Tracheotomy, and Squelching will all bring their own brands of brutality to the tour. No matter what show you’re hitting, you’re in for a treat.”

unpeople Unveil Video for Anthemic Single "blueprints"

After a weekend of tearing up Reading & Leeds Festivals, unpeople today announce their stunning, anthemic new single "blueprints," taken from their forthcoming debut album we are unpeople, out October 9 on SharpTone Records.

A lighter touch that takes no prisoners when it comes to anthemic ambition, "blueprints" reveals another side of unpeople. Built around skyscraping four-part harmonies and soaring melodies, the track makes a compelling case for a band ready for the world's biggest stages.

Listen here and watch the official video below.

"The subject matter of this song is not an easy one to get into, personally," singer and guitarist Jake Crawford explains. "It's broadly about propping up people who have behaviours that are clearly not good for them or the people around them. People who only want what is best for them. Take from that what you will. Luke wrote the lion's share of the song and presented it to us with the chorus lyrics and melody already in place. I loved it so much we kept it almost exactly as it was and I just elaborated on the overall feeling of the tune with the verses."

A seamless ability to connect across boundaries and conjure communal spirit, sits at the very heart of the band's recently-announced debut album we are unpeopleBuilt upon massive choruses, four-part vocal harmonies and unabated heaviness, it captures a band whose ambition is matched by their belief in the power of music to unite people.

Comprised of Jake Crawford, Luke Caley, Em Lodge, and Richard Rayner, unpeople have quickly established themselves as one of the UK's most exciting new alternative bands, earning themselves a reputation for creating music that feels equally at home on the biggest rock stages and the heaviest festival bills - having fittingly been described as the lightest band at Bloodstock, and the heaviest band at Kendal Calling — finding themselves equally at home in both settings.

With Kerrang! hailing them as "one of alternative music's best new bands," live, they've opened for Metallica in Vienna, shared bills with Smashing Pumpkins and Coheed & Cambria and drawn huge crowds at 2000trees.

With support tours incoming with both Royal Blood and Don Broco, the band are ready to take things to the next level. Across January 2027, unpeople will take on their biggest headline tour to date across the UK — with most dates selling out almost instantly. The tour will end on January 28, with a truly special night at London's Electric Ballroom, matching the ambition of a band on the cusp of truly breaking through. Tickets here.

Emily Wolfe Releases New Single + Video "Power" via Judge & Jury

Austin Powerhouse Guitarist and Songwriter gets Unapologetically Honest About Desire on the Second Single from her Forthcoming Judge & Jury Records Album

Coming off her tour with Yungblud, Emily Wolfe returns with “Power,” a new single that continues her pursuit of rawness, honesty, and authenticity. The track marks Wolfe’s second single from her forthcoming new album due out this year through Judge & Jury Records.

"What do we all really want? If you strip everything away, what is it? Power. Sex. Honey. Flesh. Primal. The most fundamental human desires. I think everybody wants those things, they just don’t always say it out loud. That song is me saying it out loud.”  shares Wolfe.

It is a refreshingly unapologetic answer and an especially bold one coming from a woman in rock who has never been interested in playing it safe.

While desire is often softened, hidden, or wrapped in euphemism, Wolfe confronts it head-on. “Power” is about stripping away the expectations, shame, and self-censorship that can keep people from saying what they truly want. The result is a song that embraces desire as something primal, human, sensual, and powerful.

For Wolfe, the four words are more than a provocative hook. They represent the raw, fundamental urges that exist beneath everything else. The need to want. The need to feel. The need to possess power and to claim ownership over your own desires.

“Power” is available now on all major streaming platforms.

STELLAR CIRCUITS UNVEIL EXPANDED PHANTOM :: PHOENIX (DIRECTOR’S CUT)

North Carolina progressive alt-metal innovators STELLAR CIRCUITS have released Phantom :: Phoenix (Director’s Cut), the definitive edition of their acclaimed third studio album, available now digitally via Nuclear Blast Records. The release pairs the original record with four additional tracks unveiled over the past several months: ‘Spotlight,’ ‘Wounded Healer,’ ‘Stargazer’ and ‘In The Smoke.’

Cinematic, visceral and emotionally charged, Phantom :: Phoenix (Director’s Cut) further explores the album’s themes of transformation and rebirth, moving between light and darkness, destruction and renewal. The new material builds upon the progressive intricacy, crushing heaviness and atmospheric depth that have become hallmarks of STELLAR CIRCUITS’ evolving sound.

Following 2023’s Sight To Sound and the original release of Phantom :: Phoenix in 2025, the Director’s Cut represents another step forward for STELLAR CIRCUITS, bringing the album’s journey full circle while continuing to push the band into new creative territory.

Theodor Bastard Announce New Album '▽'

While they’ve remained relatively silent over the past six years, Theodor Bastard refuse to stay still. Amidst the shadows of the pandemic, war and invasive technology, the world music pioneers have been searching for a way out of the darkness that’s descended over our reality. The path that they discovered on their upcoming eighth studio album didn’t lead back to their home in the forest of Karelia, but away from it, into the coldness of the city, a collapsing civilization, and ultimately, rebirth.

Today, Theodor Bastard are announcing their new album ▽ (pronounced V) with a thrilling music video for its bewitching lead single. While it reconnects with their roots in electronic music, “Sverkay” is a sure sign that the band are bound for dark new horizons.

“This album might never have happened”, Theodor Bastard producer, multi-instrumentalist and founding member Fedor Svolotch says. “So much has surrounded us during recent years: the pandemic, war, division, fear, anxiety over technology, and a sense that reality itself is becoming darker and more unstable. We have felt so much anger, pain, confusion and disappointment both in ourselves and in the world around us. All these emotions were gathering inside us, changing, darkening, searching for a form, until they eventually transformed into the unexpected on ▽”.

Watch the music video for “Sverkay” below:

▽ comes out November 13, 2026 on Season of Mist.

▽ reflects just how much has changed since the world last heard from Theodor Bastard in April 2020. While the band are still recognized internationally for blending ritual folk, electronics and world music, on their new album, they’ve re-embraced their early electronic impulses because that’s now how modern life feels: cold, sharp, tense.

“Our sound changed because the world changed”, Svolotch explains. “We had to destroy our own habits and expectations to make ▽. We wanted to start again, as if the band has no past, no safe place, no ready-made formula. As a result, this album is not a continuation of what came before. It’s a different door”.

Long-time fans of Theodor Bastard were pleasantly surprised late last year when the pulse-pounding analog synths of “Nebo” first appeared in the award-winning Russian crime drama The Method. But the latest single from

▽ is a giant leap from the softer, more earthly textures of the band’s recent studio ventures. Like a spaceship, “Sverkay” rumbles with distorted bass before it’s suspended high above the earth by a trap-like beat.

The video for “Sverkay” was directed by Fedor Svolotch and stars Yana Veva. Theodor Bastard built the spaceship that appears in the video by hand. They also created the video’s practical and visual effects themselves. The concept for the spacesuit was created by Yana Veva and made by TomHem Studio.

HATE GRENADE Unleashes Crushing New Single "Reflections"

Modern nu-metal powerhouse confronts the battle against your own inner demons with one of its heaviest and most emotionally charged releases to date.

Some enemies stand in front of you.

The most dangerous ones stare back from

the mirror.

With the release of their explosive new single, "Reflections," HATE GRENADE dives headfirst into the psychological war that rages inside us all. Blending crushing riffs, thunderous grooves, massive hooks, and an unrelenting sense of urgency, the band delivers a modern nu-metal anthem that is equal parts emotionally raw and sonically devastating.

At its core, "Reflections" explores one of life's most difficult battles, the fight against the darkest version of yourself.

"Reflections is an aggressive, modern nu-metal track built around the idea of being trapped with the worst version of yourself. Heavy guitars, big hooks, and a dark edge." - Hate Grenade

That statement becomes the heartbeat of the song. Every crushing riff feels like internal conflict. Every thunderous drum hit echoes the weight of self doubt. Every soaring hook reminds listeners that even in our darkest moments, there is power in confronting what we've become rather than running from it.

"Reflections" isn't simply another heavy song.

It's an emotional collision between rage, vulnerability, and self-awareness.

HATE GRENADE has crafted a track that captures the suffocating feeling of being locked inside your own thoughts while delivering the kind of unforgettable chorus that begs to be screamed back from the front row.

Musically, the band leans into everything that has made modern nu-metal resonate with a new generation of heavy music fans. Thick, down-tuned guitars collide with pounding rhythms, atmospheric textures build tension throughout, and the vocals seamlessly shift between aggressive intensity and melodic conviction.

The result is a song that feels both crushingly heavy and undeniably memorable.

Lyrically, "Reflections" speaks to anyone who has ever wrestled with anxiety, regret, anger, or the fear of becoming someone they no longer recognize. Rather than offering easy answers, the song invites listeners to face those emotions head on, acknowledging that growth often begins by confronting the parts of ourselves we'd rather ignore.

In an era where authenticity matters more than ever, HATE GRENADE refuses to hide behind clichés. Instead, they deliver a brutally honest soundtrack for those fighting battles no one else can see.

With "Reflections," the band continues to establish itself as one of the rising voices in modern heavy music, combining massive production, unforgettable hooks, and meaningful songwriting into a sound that is equal parts aggressive and accessible.

Whether blasting through speakers or igniting a crowd in a live setting, "Reflections" is built to leave an impact. It's heavy. It's haunting.

And it's a reminder that sometimes the hardest fight you'll ever face is the one happening inside your own mind.

CANADIAN ROCKERS TEAZE AND THEIR FIRST NEW STUDIO ALBUM IN OVER 45 YEARS, REV YOUR ENGINES, DEKO ENTERTAINMENT DROPS THEIR LIVE COMEBACK ALBUM LIVE

Following the triumphant return of Canadian hard rock legends Teaze with their first new studio album in more than 45 years, Rev Your Engines, Deko Entertainment is proud to announce the release of Live In Liege, a powerful live recording that captures the band doing what they do best—delivering high-energy rock and roll to passionate audiences around the world.

Formed in Windsor, Ontario in 1975 by bassist/vocalist Brian Danter, guitarists Mark Bradac and Chuck Price, and drummer Mike Kozak, Teaze quickly built a reputation as one of Canada's premier hard rock acts. Their combination of infectious melodies, driving guitars, and explosive live performances earned them devoted followings across Canada, Europe, and Japan. Songs such as “Rockin' With The Music,” “Boys Night Out,” “Sweet Misery,” and “On The Loose” became staples of their catalog and helped establish the band's enduring legacy.

After decades away from the studio, Teaze returned in 2026 with Rev Your Engines, proving that their chemistry, songwriting, and unmistakable sound remain as strong as ever. Since then, the band has continued to reconnect with longtime fans while attracting a new generation of rock listeners through festival appearances and sold-out performances.

To showcase the power of Teaze on stage, Deko Entertainment now presents Live In Liege. Recorded in September 2023 at Belgium's renowned Golden Age Rock Festival, the album captures the band firing on all cylinders with electrifying performances of fan favorites including “On The Loose,” “Back In Action,” and many more.

As founding guitarist Mark Bradac explains, "Playing for the fans in Belgium was an unforgettable experience. The energy from the crowd was incredible, and we felt connected from the first note to the last. We're thrilled that this performance was captured and can now be shared with fans everywhere."

The album serves as both a celebration of Teaze's remarkable history and a testament to a band that continues to perform with the same passion and intensity that made them international favorites decades ago.
