Carcosa Drops New Single “Righteous Man” and Hilarious Music Video—It’s Cheeky AND Chuggy

Canada’s bounciest deathcore dudes Carcosa have unleashed another banger bordering on metalcore with today’s release of “Righteous Man.” It’s their second Tarantin-ish song, following the Kill Bill-isms of fan favorite “Vermin,” a great omen for their latest’s Fictitiously Pulpy leanings to earn similar love. Listen to the new track HERE and watch the music video below.

Like the meme-tastic video for “Nihilus,” the “Righteous Man” clip inserts the quartet into scenes from the screen—with this one double daring (mother f****r) to transport them from BC to LA—for a viewing experience as cheeky as it is chuggy.

Carcosa vocalist Johnny Ciardullo quips on the Quentinspiration of the track:

“‘Righteous Man’ is a love letter to one of the best films in the history of modern cinema. Its visceral nature and polarizing dialogue are perfectly poised for a brutal yet catchy banger.

“After having so much fun green screening ourselves into hilarious moments for ‘Nihilus,’ we knew what had to be done here. Sure, the subject matter may not be as straight up funny, but we ensured we’d inject some laughs with some hilarious props—check out those guns—and our, ahem, acting.

The song marks 5.5 months since they dropped a cover of Ghostemane’s “Mercury” and nearly 10 since unleashing last original song “Nothing”—an uncharacteristically long time between material for these content machines. Prior to that, they rolled out “Born to Lose,” “Restless” and “Nihilus,” as well as a live split with fellow BC deathcore band Angelmaker (with whom they share a member), in the follow-up to LP debut Anthology, which dropped August 13, 2021.

ABOUT CARCOSA

Vancouver’s Carcosa formed from the ashes of djenty metalcore band Galactic Pegasus, deciding to kill that band off as the music they were writing trended in a deadlier direction. However, their devotion to constant content—seemingly inspired by guitarist Andrew Baena’s YouTube career and a Tik Tok explosion of metal tongue twisters, pick-up lines and more with vocalist Johnny Ciardullo—is far more lively.

As is their live show! Originally a deathcore studio project, due in part to unleashing in mid-2020, their regular releases (centered around 2021 debut LP Anthology but book-ended with a seemingly endless stream of singles) have been peppered with tours alongside Archspire, Aborted, Angelmaker, Vulvodynia, Within Destruction and more.

Silly Goose is the audacious brainchild of Jackson Foster and Alan Benikhis, musicians who eat, sleep, and breathe the raw power of late '90s rap rock and nu metal. Growing up, the two marinated in the vibes of Limp Bizkit, Rage Against the Machine, Gojira, and an eclectic mix of genres, all coming together to forge the unmistakable sound of Silly Goose.

Silly Goose's first EP, The Goose Is Out Of The Bag, was put together while the boys were still in high school and laid the groundwork for their ambitious style, while simultaneously showcasing one of the attributes that their fans most appreciate – a commitment to delivering hard-hitting music without taking themselves too seriously. At the end of the day, Silly Goose are all about providing an outlet for all kinds of feelings, from frustration to rage, resentment and revenge to reveling in the joy of occasionally wanting to just be silly and mosh for the sheer exhilaration of it.

The new single "Tsunami" pushes boundaries in the spirit of the previously released tracks "King Of The Hill" and "Live It Up," marking a massive milestone as their first release since signing with Blue Grape Music.

What truly sets Silly Goose apart is their fusion of high-energy performances with a genuine, down-to-earth vibe. They never take themselves too seriously. Their simple mission is to make good music, have fun and make the people happy; a purpose that endears them to fans who appreciate the authenticity of their vibe. Silly Goose isn't just a band; they're a brotherhood of rockers who live to shred and put on unforgettable live shows.

The current lineup of Silly Goose features Foster on lead vocals, Benikhis on drums, Ian Binion on lead guitar and backup vocals, and Yalli Alvarez on bass guitar and backup vocals. Together, they create a sound that's both explosive and deeply engaging, powered by Jackson's dynamic vocal delivery and the band's relentless instrumentation.

ABOUT BLUE GRAPE MUSIC:
In 2022, industry veterans David Rath and Cees Wessels formed Blue Grape Music.  The name will be familiar to rock music fans, as it was the merchandise company also launched by Wessels, who founded the venerable and esteemed record label Roadrunner Records in the ‘80s. Roadrunner earned a reputation as an iconic label that turned hard rock and metal acts into household names for several decades under Wessels' tutelage. Rath spent 21 years in the A&R department at Roadrunner, working on albums by a variety of RIAA-certified and culturally important acts, including but not limited to SlipknotKornTurnstileGojiraCoheed and CambriaWhite ReaperSlashTriviumDream Theater, and more. When the label changed management and ownership, Rath guided the company and oversaw the signings of bands like Young the Giant and Vance Joy. Ultimately, the Blue Grape executive team is powered by experience and a roll-up-your-sleeves-and-get-your-hands-dirty, by-any-means-necessary work ethic. Blue Grape's inaugural signing was the two-time Grammy nominee Code Orange and since then, the label has gone on to sign San Francisco punks Spiritual Cramp, hardcore heavyweights GEL, and Baltimore sludge slingers GASKET, with several new signing announcements expected to be announced this year. Blue Grape is distributed globally by The Orchard.

They were also boosted by their hugely popular cover of Ed Sheeran’s "Shape of You" in 2017, which was picked up by BBC Radio One's Greg James and subsequently topped the iTunes UK rock and metal chart, and racked up over 300,000 plays on YouTube on its first week of release.

It included standout tracks like the emotionally charged single "In Retrospect" and the anthemic title track, showcasing the band's dynamic range and lyrical depth. The album was well-received, adding significantly to their streaming numbers and earning praise for its production quality and thematic boldness. This release further solidified Our Hollow, Our Home's position in the metal scene, offering fans both old and new a rich auditory experience that resonated with the challenges and resilience of the human spirit.

LOLITSLEA Releases Neon Pop-Punk Single "What's That To You" Feat. glimmers and Magnolia Park

DEBUT ALBUM NOTHING LASTS FOREVER!, OUT OCTOBER 11

Yesterday, lolitslea released "What's That To You" featuring guest vocals from glimmers and Joshua Roberts from Magnolia Park. It's a sassy, showstopping mashup spotlighting three of today's fastest-rising acts in the pop-punk scene. The powerhouse collaboration on this track is no coincidence as the song taps into the angsty, heavy, and aggressive feelings synonymous with pop punk's origins.

When asked about the song, lolitslea says, "'What’s That To You?' is a salty tune about stubbornness with a twist of aggressive, riff-driven pop punk. I guess my new stuff is just not his style, *shrug* This tune features glistening pop punk band, glimmers, and Joshua Roberts from Magnolia Park."

lolitslea is the epitome of bright, nostalgia-driven music for today's youth (imagine if Artist Vs Poet or Hey Monday came out in 2024). Growing up in the small, yet touristy beach town of Point Pleasant, NJ, lolitslea was homegrown from all kinds of music from the Asbury Park alternative scene and Warped Tour era. The neon-pop punk bangers on her upcoming album "NOTHING LASTS FOREVER!" are relatable, danceable, and oh-so-fun!

LOLITSLEA 2024 TOUR DATES:
10/9 —  Philadelphia, PA —  The Rotunda
10/10 —  Asbury Park, NJ —  Bond Street Bar
10/11 —  Baltimore, MD —  Zen West
10/12 —  Raleigh, NC —  Kings
10/15 —  Orlando, FL —  Will's Pub
10/18 —  Atlanta, GA —  Smith's Olde Bar
10/19 —  Murfreesboro, TN —  1507 Diana St

ABOUT LOLITSLEA:
Growing up in the small, yet touristy beach town of Point Pleasant, New Jersey, lolitslea was homegrown from every and all kinds of music that came out of the Asbury Park alternative scene and Warped Tour era. The independent artist has intertwined the boldness of punk and the colors of pop to bring back the bright sounds of the Neon Pop Punk scene we all grew to love in the mid-2000s. Think Artist Vs Poet or early Fall Out Boy.

After topping the charts with her college a cappella group (Twisted Measure), lolitslea set off to grow her project. lolitslea's sound has been produced and developed by emo icons such as Chase Coy (formally with Universal Music Group), Tom Denney (formerly A Day To Remember), and Roye Robley (Meet Me @ The Altar, Fluorescents), with features from Kellin Quinn (Sleeping With Sirens), Bemo Rouge, Joshua Roberts (Magnolia Park), glimmers, Smooth Brain, and more to come.

lolitslea is finishing up her debut full-length to be released October 2024. Following that, she'll be busy in writing sessions with Dan Swank (All Time Low, Taylor Acorn), Cassadee Pope (Hey Monday), Cameron Walker, and many more.

SIMONE SIMONS - Debut Solo Album Out Now + New Video For 'Cradle To The Grave' ft. Alissa White-Gluz

Yesterday saw the release of Vermillion, the debut solo album from SIMONE SIMONS. To celebrate, she has revealed a brand new video for 'Cradle To The Grave' featuring Alissa White-Gluz of Arch Enemy.

SIMONE SIMONS & ARJEN LUCASSEN comment:

“'Cradle to the Grave' is about the universal experience of navigating life's ups and downs and the quest for meaning and purpose. It views the human condition as one of struggle and resilience, where despite efforts to build and achieve, there's an underlying acceptance that life is brief, finite, and often cruel."

Watch the video for 'Cradle To The Grave' below.

About SIMONE SIMONS:

For more than 20 years, ever since she was a teenager, SIMONE SIMONS has been carving her own path as a woman within the world of metal. As a lead singer, icon, and role model for a whole generation of female metalheads, the Epica lead singer remains one of the most prominent key figures in all things metal. After eight albums and countless global tours with her band, SIMONE SIMONS finally found the time to release her first solo album – a moment 15 years in the making! Her breathtaking debut Vermillion is a stunning feat chronicling her storied past as well as her rise to fame, and showcasing her many different influences ranging from prog rock to film scores to metal to electronic elements.

Of the timing for her eagerly awaited foray into the realms of a solo career, the Dutch singer says with a disarming grin: Epica has my priority and I always have the liberty to do other musical projects besides my career in Epica. Yet, I never had the time to dive into a project to this extent.
Some endeavors require patience and time, and rightly so. Simone chose not to rush her solo project, opting instead to thoughtfully consider how she wanted to present herself. Enter stage right Arjen Lucassen (AYREON). Her musical partner and longtime collaborator is no stranger to her soaring operatic voice. Together they have crafted a sonic universe that befits the influential figure she is. And while many would use their solo effort as a radical, even provocative departure from everything they stood for, SIMONE remains true to her love for epic melodies, huge choruses, and monumental, intelligent music.

OUT NOW: Within The Ruins' 'Phenomena II'

Progressive deathcore giants WITHIN THE RUINS are pleased to unleash their new video for “Demon Killer.” The ferocious new hymn comes off of the band’s Phenomena II full-length, out today on MNRK Heavy!

Phenomena II serves as the sequel to the WITHIN THE RUINS ’ critically lauded Phenomena full-length, which was released a decade ago and has reaped over 18 million streams to date! “We had written a handful of songs, and we were searching for inspiration,” recalls guitarist Joe Cocchi. “We wanted to celebrate the tenth anniversary of Phenomena, because it was a pinnacle point of our career. I wrote a demo that reminded [vocalist] Steve [Tinnon] of Phenomena. So, it was his idea to create Phenomena II. The styles really aligned in terms of the unique guitar effects and the themes where each track tells a story from a comic book character’s point-of-view.”

With “Demon Killer,” the band tempers technicality with moral ambiguity within its depiction of [DC Comics antihero] Constantine. “It checked all of the boxes by utilizing this glitchy effect we started using on Phenomena,” Cocchi elaborates. “‘Demon Killer’ is Constantine. He was born into a world that never appreciated him. Steve is breaking down his character by talking about his internal conflicts and how he’s fighting evil with evil.”

“We absolutely love how this video turned out,” adds Tinnon. “The imagery and effects do incredible justice to the character of John Constantine, and really encapsulate his struggle between the forces of good and evil.”

WITHIN THE RUINS recently confirmed five Southwest headlining shows this October with support from Gore. See all confirmed dates below and stay tuned for additional shows to be announced in the weeks to come.

LAINEY WILSON’S HIGHLY ANTICIPATED NEW ALBUM WHIRLWIND OUT TO WIDESPREAD ACCLAIM

“THE BEST RELEASE OF HER CAREER”
THE TENNESSEAN

“LAINEY WILSON HAS LEVELED UP ON THIS RECORD”
ASSOCIATED PRESS

“A ROMANTIC SURVIVOR WITH COWGIRL CRED, CARRIED BY A VOICE THAT CAN CONVEY ACHE AND METTLE IN EQUAL MEASURE”
THE NEW YORK TIMES

Whirlwind, the highly anticipated new album from Grammy Award-winning, multi-platinum singer, songwriter and musician Lainey Wilson, is out now via BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville. Get it HERE. The official music video for the album’s title track will also debut today, listen below..

Produced by Grammy Award-winning producer Jay Joyce (Miranda Lambert, Eric Church), Whirlwind’s 14 tracks are filled with Wilson’s distinct and engaging songwriting. Current single “Hang Tight Honey” is nearing the top 10 on the Country Airplay chart and continues to rise.

Whirlwind is kind of the Western sister of Bell Bottom Country,” says Wilson. “Since that album, I have gotten to experience so many new things and meet folks from different walks of life. Because of that, I’ve become a better songwriter, and I have more understanding. I feel like I’ve truly stepped into what it is that I’m called to be doing. Ironically, I found my path within all the craziness—and that’s the whirlwind.”

The album adds to an already triumphant career for Wilson, who, in just the past year, was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry, won Best Country Album at the 2024 Grammy Awards, three awards at the 59th annual ACM Awards and five awards at the 57th annual CMA Awards (being named Entertainer of the Year at both the ACMs and CMAs). Most recently, Wilson received two awards at the ACM Honors earlier this week: the prestigious Triple Crown Award—presented to those who have won ACM Entertainer of the Year, Female/Male Vocalist of the Year and New Female/Male Vocalist of the Year—and the Milestone Award, which is given to an artist who has had an unprecedented or outstanding year in country music.

Known for her electric live performances, Wilson will continue to tour throughout the fall with her extensive “Country’s Cool Again” headline tour. Upcoming stops include Los Angeles’ Greek Theater (sold out), Fresno’s Save Mart Center (sold out), Lubbock’s United Supermarkets Arena, Alpharetta’s Ameris Bank Amphitheatre (sold out), Pittsburgh’s Petersen Events Center (sold out), Oklahoma City’s Paycom Center (sold out), Omaha’s CHI Health Center (sold out) and Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Arena among many others. GAEREA Show Their True Faces on New Single "Unknown"

"As someone who's already heard Coma in full, you're getting a glimpse at one of the best metal records of 2024" - Metal Injection

"One of extreme music's most commanding, compelling forces" - Knotfest

"...separates itself from the pack thanks to hearty doses of dark melody, top notch production and skilled songwriting"
- Decibel

"...builds upon itself until the sound and fury can’t be contained any longer, spilling over itself with raging vocals and pounding blast beats".- Metal Sucks

"Terrifying at times, but beautiful, almost like life" - New Noise

"Gaerea really aren’t like the other black metal bands...If you have any care for music as heartrending as it is heavy, this is a must-listen" - Angry Metal Guy

"...increasingly wizard-like and meteorically rising" - No Clean Singing

Though they formed during the most uncertain time in recent history, Gaerea emerged from pandemic limbo with a new strand of black metal. Instead of pagan beliefs or lo-fi fidelity, the masked visionaries were guided by a purging of raw emotions. The world has quickly come to share their vision, following them from the gates of Hellfest to tours across China and the U.S.

But on their upcoming fourth album, Gaerea are proving that they're no longer just a black metal band. While it still packs plenty of bloodied emotion, with Coma, the Portuguese sensations are poised to surface to the top of extreme metal. On "Unknown", they unveil both the beauty and brutality of their new identity.

Watch the luminous video for "Unknown" below.

Coma comes out October 25, 2024 on Season of Mist.

When Coma was secretly introduced back in May, Gaerea set the world ablaze. The album's first official single raised everyone's hopes by delivering an anthem for our dying era. "Unknown" heightens the anticipation to an unbearable degree. Like an out-of-body experience, the opening guitar solo hovers as if suspended from a ghostly height, grounded by a warm but numbing bass line.

The maze-like existence that Gaerea speak of on Coma becomes hazier on "Unknown". Even when the song opens into soft post-rock passages, the melodies are haunted by a familiar dread. "A mere observer, detached creature", the band's tortured vocalist cries out, as if forced to watch some other masked deviant write his life story.

But Gaerea know who they are. Within its many twists and turns, "Unknown" springs with more deadly hooks than a booby trap. The riff slithers and shakes with minor key tremolo picking before the chorus worms into your ear canals with sharp pangs of melodic distortion. Once the blast beats have sucked you into their vortex, the band's sheer artistic force is blinding, like looking upon the face of god. "This is who I am, sublime".

With "Unknown", Gaerea make their presence felt on the world of extreme metal.

The video for "Unknown" was directed by Claudio Marino and produced by Artax Film.

To usher in this new era, Gaerea are touring behind Coma later this year. The masked sensations will return to North America in November with Zeal & Ardor and ZETRA.

Seven Hours After Violet Announces Debut Album; Drops New Single & Music Video "Radiance"

Seven Hours After Violet, the new heavy metal powerhouse led by Shavo Odadjian, bassist of the iconic, multi-platinum band System of A Down, is thrilled to announce their self-titled debut album, scheduled for release on October 11th, 2024, through Sumerian Records imprint 1336 Records. This announcement comes alongside the release of the band's ethereal second single, "Radiance," which is available now on all major streaming platforms, accompanied by a visually stunning music video. Stream "Radiance" HERE. Watch the official music video below. Pre-Order the debut album, 'Seven Hours After Violet' HERE.

Seven Hours After Violet is the the groundbreaking new project from Shavo Odadjian featuring Taylor Barber (Left To Suffer), Morgoth(platinum-selling producer and guitarist of Winds of Plague), Alejandro Aranda (Scarypoolparty, American Idol) and Josh Johnson(Winds of Plague). They exploded into existence back in June with the release of their debut single 'Paradise' garnering much praise and excitement from both fans and critics alike. Speaking on the announcement of their debut full-length, Shavo shares

"This album is the culmination of years of creative exploration. With Seven Hours After Violet I wanted to return to my roots in heavy music but also bring something entirely new to the table. "Radiance" and its precursor, "Paradise'" are but a small glimpse of the intensity, musical diversity and emotion that run through this album. We can't wait for everyone to hear it in full and to bring these songs to life on stage at our first live performance at Mayhem Fest."

Seven Hours After Violet will play their first ever live show at this year's recently announced Mayhem Fest, taking place at the Glen Helen Amphitheatre in San Bernardino on October 12th. For tickets and further information, head to mayhemfest.com

About Seven Hours After Violet

When the universe aligns, magic happens. This was certainly the case when Shavo Odadjian, the legendary bass player of System of a Down, crossed paths with platinum-selling producer, songwriter and guitarist, Morgoth at a party on 2.22.22. Their initial sessions were a spontaneous combustion of creativity, transforming from a potential solo venture into a full-fledged band. “We wrote a song right away. It wasn’t like any writing session I had been part of before, riffs were just flowing out of me without me even having to try. Every time I felt like I couldn't write anything. Morgoth would hand me a guitar and say, “go, go, go”. I needed that, you know? I needed someone to push me when I wasn't pushing myself. ” Shavo recalls. As music continued to pour out in torrents, with Shavo writing and performing all the guitar and bass parts and Morgoth producing and providing the beats, atmospherics and FX, Morgoth suggested they turn it into a Shavo solo project. However, with his eye now firmly set on the live arena, Shavo decided to create a full band.

Finding the right vocal talent to compliment the musical landscape created by Shavo and Morgoth was crucial. Morgoth’s recommendation of Taylor Barber from Left to Suffer was a game-changer. Shavo was blown away: “He was singing in falsetto one minute and growling the next—it was ridiculous. He became the singer because he knocked every song out of the park.” With Shavo on bass and Morgoth on guitar, the band also brought in Morthgoth’s Winds Of Plague band mate, Josh Johnson on drums and Alejandro Aranda, known for his solo project Scarypoolparty and as runner-up on American Idol, as lead guitarist and backing vocalist.

Once the new music was complete, mixed by Zach Jones and mastered by Maor Applebaum, Shavo partnered with Ash Avildsen, founder and CEO of Sumerian Music Group to create the brand new joint label venture 1336 Records, with Seven Hours After Violet being the first singing.

FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE RELEASES MONSTROUS NEW ALBUM, OPERA

The wait is over. Italian Symphonic Death Metal maestros FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE have returned with their massively anticipated album, Opera, today! Available for stream and purchase now from Nuclear Blast Records, the baroque operatic band’s 6th record is a ferocious collection of intense, volatile tracks directly inspired by frontman Francesco Paoli’s 2021 near fatal mountain climbing accident.

Today, FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE unveils the turbulent video for the opus ‘Morphine Waltz’; a  turbulent glimpse at the band’s raging stage show.

Commenting on the track Paoli says:

‘Morphine Waltz’, THE visionary song par excellence, has a much deeper meaning, which goes beyond its lysergic atmosphere. It’s actually a true anthem to science, which once again has proved itself to be the only reality that counts.

But this track is also a perfect demonstration that our new line-up is on a whole new level, showcasing Veronica’s amazing versatility besides Eugene’s and Fabio’s insane technical skills.

After a few cinematic music videos, we wanted to pay tribute to another essential, if not the most important, dimension for the band: the stage. Delivering intense and truly theatrical live performances allows us to create a direct, unbreakable bond with our fans. And our upcoming North American tour will be our most theatrical ever.

Folks, today is the day! Let's not waste any more time with words and let the music speak for itself.

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the ‘Opera’!

Opera is structured like a 10-act theatrical piece, as the title itself, draws a clear thread with the everlasting tradition of Italian classical music theater combining it with the epic brutality of death and symphonic metal, which has become their trademark sound. Mixed and mastered by Grammy-nominated producer Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, Epica, Arch Enemy), Opera definitely marks another step forward for the band, incorporating new suggestions into that unique blend that FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE are renowned for: sheer violence, majestic orchestrations and soaring melodies. Such an ambitious musical endeavor called for an equally impressive artwork, a team effort between two arising Italian talents (artist extraordinaire Felicita Fiorini and visionary photographer Francesco Esposito), following the path traced by baroque painters like Caravaggio and Artemisia Gentileschi. The cover art portrays Veronica as Music, a superior entity that defeats the social and artistic decay of modern age.

With this new record, FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE are setting the bar even higher than before, pioneering what looks like a completely new sub-genre that might be called “Opera Metal”: an unprecedented mix of extreme music and theatrical elements.

Joe Henry Unveils Remastered Edition Of 2007 Album "Civilians"

Gifted songwriter and vocalist Joe Henry is known for his intimate and richly detailed songs shaped by an eclectic musical world view, encompassing the sounds of rock, folk, country, soul and jazz. In 2024, he revisits a special trio of albums that represent his "coming-of-age" as a record maker. All three albums will be issued on vinyl for the very first time as part of the 2024 reissue series.

Starting off the series, today Henry unveils a remastered edition of his acclaimed 2007 studio album Civilians. The 2024 edition features all original album tracks in remastered sound as well as four previously unreleased demos from Joe’s personal archives. Henry describes Civilians as a very intentional record that took him back to a traditional approach of songwriting. Instead of working from loops and samples, he found himself going back to the idea of starting songs on his guitar and putting a big importance on crafting the lyrics. The four additional demos on the 2024 edition of the album add tremendously to this acoustic-driven, visceral intimacy of Civilians and allow the listener to dive even deeper into Henry’s poetic lyricism.

Accompanying the release of the reissue edition is the launch of a restored performance video of "Time Is A Lion" on earMUSIC’s YouTube channel. According to Henry, the song functions as a major key stone for the sound and narrative of Civilians

"'Time is A Lion' is one of the earliest songs I had for Civilians. It kind of came out of nowhere, and it was the beginning, kind of the building block." Henry describes the importance of the song, "It was maybe the second or third song we recorded. I think it became a template for the record in a certain way, certainly as a tonality and lyrical stance. It sort of sets the table for everything else."

The reissue edition of Civilians is available in stores as of today as black double-vinyl in a high-quality gatefold jacket, CD Digipak and for digital download and streaming.

Besides Civilians, the reissue trilogy also includes Henry’s 2009 record Blood From Stars and the 2014 album Invisible Hour. All three reissue-albums will be pressed on 180g double-vinyl and additionally be made available as CD Digipak, for streaming and digital download via earMUSIC.

Texas Hippie Coalition to release new album “Gunsmoke”

Texas rockers TEXAS HIPPIE COALITION are set to release their new album, Gunsmoke, via MNRK Heavy on October 4, 2024.

This time, Big Dad Ritch and his crew wholeheartedly embrace their country and Southern rock stylings as well as a lifelong passion for westerns. This comes through loud and clear on the first single and title track, "Gunsmoke." Rustic acoustic guitar crawls through a stomping beat punctuated by waves of groaning distortion. It climaxes on a chantable chorus, “I sell weed and liquor to the city slickers. I can get you there quicker, and like a gun…I smoke.”

With drinks poured, fists raised, and smiles wide, TEXAS HIPPIE COALITION (THC) always know how to have a good time. A collective of tried-and-true rabble-rousers and dyed-in-the-wool storytellers, the Texas quintet—Big Dad Ritch [vocals], Cord Pool [guitar], Nevada Romo [guitar], Rado Romo [bass], and Joey Mandigo [drums]—spike ass-whopping hard rock with a kick of country swagger and a whole lot of Texas grit and gusto.

Gathering tens of millions of streams, logging thousands of miles on the road, and energizing countless fans, they deliver ten anthems tailormade to simmer and scorch on Gunsmoke [MNRK Heavy]. “In terms of the lyrics, the vibe, and where THC come from, we definitely went home on this album,” says Ritch. “It represents the wild west Texas-Oklahoma area. You’ve got a little red dirt country spilling over into the storytelling and metal. It’s a return to the dirt where we came from.”

Miranda Lambert Explores “No Man’s Land” With Latest Preview of ‘Postcards from Texas’ Arriving 9/13

Following the recent release of her tongue-in-cheek, honky tonk shuffle “Alimony,” Miranda Lambert takes a vulnerable and reflective turn with today’s release of “No Man’s Land” off her upcoming debut for Republic Records, Postcards from Texas, arriving Sept. 13.

Cowritten with frequent collaborator Luke Dick (“Bluebird,” “Actin’ Up,” “Settling Down”), the evocative ballad showcases Lambert’s unmatched ability to weave narratives of independence and self-discovery, painting a vivid picture of a woman who embodies both the wild beauty of untamed landscapes and the fierce independence of a life lived on her own terms.

“‘No Man’s Land’ is a love song to me, and it’s one of my favorite songs I’ve maybe ever written,” reflects the woman whose songwriting Paste celebrates as “unparalleled in country music – and beyond.” “When Luke sent me the initial idea, the lyrics just struck me—they were so beautiful, so raw. It felt like, ‘This is how I can explain it to the man who’s willing to love a girl like me—a free spirit, a wildflower, a wild card but with a big heart and all the love to give.’ It's that sentiment of ‘love her but leave her wild,’ and it’s not really a warning; it’s just a ‘let me tell you what you're getting into, and if you want to jump off and take this ride with me, then let’s go.’”

With a voice that speaks directly to the heart, Lambert invites listeners into a world where love is not about possession but about partnership. “‘No Man’s Land’ is like saying, ‘Come with me. Let’s do this together,’ rather than, ‘I’m your property,’” she adds. “It’s about embracing the wild, uncharted territories of love and life, with all the risks and rewards that come with it.”

One of 14 musical postcards from Lambert’s home state on her forthcoming album, Stereogum’s “single greatest country star to come along this century,” opens the song with a tribute to West Texas, noting, “I think the line ‘90 miles from Pecos / Lightyears from anywhere’ is both a state of mind and a place. It’s the middle of nowhere, but it’s also a feeling—a place you go in your mind, especially if you’re a creative.”

“No Man’s Land” is perhaps the perfect embodiment of what Slate declares to be true of the three-time GRAMMY winner and most-awarded artist in Academy of Country Music history: “Above all, Lambert’s name has stood for frank, unapologetic self-possession – reveling in the trappings of femininity without allowing them to confine her. She steers through heartbreak when necessary, but always while enroute to a damn good time.”

About Miranda Lambert
Acclaimed groundbreaker/songwriter/superstar Miranda Lambert has defined her multi-faceted career as an artist, entertainer, entrepreneur, advocate and businesswoman with an unflinching quest for excellence, honesty and conviction. With her ninth solo studio album, Postcards from Texas, set for release Sept. 13 via Republic Records, the most-awarded artist in Academy of Country Music history, including their top honor for Entertainer of the Year, has also won three GRAMMYs and 14 Country Music Association Awards. A TIME100 honoree and perennial best-of-the-year list maker at the New York TimesTIMERolling Stone, Billboard, Stereogum, People and more, NPR has called her “the most riveting country star of her generation.”

With seven No. 1 solo albums, 10 No. 1 hit radio singles, more than 80 prestigious awards and countless Gold, Platinum and multi-Platinum sales certifications, she’s conquered Las Vegas with her twice-extended Velvet Rodeo residency and blurred genres with Leon Bridges, Enrique Iglesias, the B-52s, Loretta Lynn, Sheryl Crow and Elle King as well as her LGBTQ+ inclusive anthem “Y’All Means All” for Netflix’s “Queer Eye.” She’s taken those standards to become a New York Times bestselling author and the first woman on Lower Broadway with her Tex-Mex cantina Casa Rosa, while expanding her creative reach with her Wanda June Home collection exclusive to Walmart and her Idyllwind clothing and boot line available at Boot Barn. Driven by her passion for rescue animals, her MuttNation Foundation has raised nearly $10 million since inception to promote adoption, support shelters across the country, advance spay & neuter and assist with the transport of animals during times of natural disaster.

Philadelphia's ROCKERS GALORE bring sun-soaked vibes on ‘Sweet Sensei’, previewing debut album

"'Blood In The Sand' stuns with its meticulous craftsmanship. Crowned with a smooth and captivating rhythm, this music boasts an extremely unique feel, seamlessly blending a one-of-a-kind melody with a groove that’ll lock you in" ~ Amplify Music Magazine

"A sonic embrace of the tropics... a potent blend of Marley's optimism, Black Uhuru's raw energy, and Steel Pulse's conscious lyrics, creates a hypnotic soundscape that transports you to a white-sand beach, the salty breeze carrying the infectious beat into your soul" ~ The Spill Magazine

Philadelphia reggae-hip hop collective Rockers Galore presents 'Sweet Sensei',  a summer anthem that's pure sunshine in sonic form and the latest taster of their debut record 'Vamos a la Playa'. This collaborative track was inspired by the love of music and sinsemilla, nature's elixir and bringer of verdant euphoria. Fusing musical talents and cultural influences, Rockers Galore takes us on a journey through sound and storytelling, celebrating the power of collaboration and the enduring allure of sinsemilla.

"Tracing the origins of sinsemilla, 'Sweet Sensei' was inspired by Iya Terra's song 'Real Sensi'. Adam came up with a great guitar melody when we started writing this song. We ended up crafting the beat around it, explains Blayer Point du Jour.

"I wanted to write about the origins of sinsemilla, which grows all over the world. I mentioned Haiti and Peru because I am Haitian and Adam is Peruvian. We hope to visit Peru soon. I created the drum and bass parts. Adam wrote a great guitar melody. Michael created the final drum tacks.  Once we started jamming, we eventually crafted the song around the guitar. Oxana laid down some amazing piano. We went to Milkboy the Studio and worked with Tommy Joyner. Talia added some amazing vocals to the track. It was great to work with her again."

The 'Sweet Sensei' video arrives on the trail of their invigorating single 'Blood In The Sand', featuring Philadelphia guitarist Joe Jordan (Oxymorrons, Pure Hell, JJX) and a passionate Spanish-language spoken word performance by Sydelle Prosopio.

This new single and most of the album tracks were recorded, mixed & mastered at Milkboy the Studio by Tommy Joyner (of Digable Planets), who has overseen recordings by James Taylor, Dave Matthews and Miley Cyrus, among many other notable artists. 'Blood In The Sand' is the excption, being mixed & mastered by Arik Creep at Creep Records Studio.

Founded in 2008 by multi-instrumentalist Blayer Point du Jour, Rockers Galore began as a solo project, transforming into a songwriting partnership with guitarist Adam Benites and gradually involving other passionate and visionary artists. With a fantastic and infectious fusion of old-school funk and brand-new spunk, they cleverly blend roots, hip hop, reggae, rock, Haitian kompa music and Latin rhythms. Since releasing their debut 'Port Au Prince' EP in 2011, they have released numerous singles and EPs

Truly a labor of love, their forthcoming 'Vamos a la Playa' album is the product of four years of songwriting, rehearsals, pre-production and arrangements. From initial sketches through to full realization, the tracks found on this album eventually crystallized in a professional studio, where the final recordings were completed and ultimately mixed and mastered.

Blayer Point du Jour explains, "For this album, we took our time and waited until we felt inspired to write. This is a mix of rhythms we enjoy playing. We aim to honor our diverse backgrounds in music and create a new sound that people have not heard before. We believe this is our best work to date. I grew up with a lot of first-generation Americans. We all came from different backgrounds but we learned to respect each others’ cultures. I try to mix the genres in an effort to bring everyone together.”

'Sweet Sensei' is out now, available from fine digital platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music and Bandcamp, where 'Blood In The Sand' can also be found. The full 'Vamos a la Playa' album will be released on September 13.

THE OKLAHOMA KID stand for breathtaking modern metal that bridges the gap between technical intricacy and energizing rhythms. Since their formation in 2012 the band has consistently pushed the envelope and have established their foundation in the German metal scene.

After their successful debut album Solarray (2019) and struck by the global pandemic, THE OKLAHOMA KID set their focus on writing new music, with one simple goal in mind, to best themselves and give every fan something to crave for — Tangerine Tragic.
