Written by Beau Bailey, Casey Brown, Travis Wood and Batson, “Coincidence” taps into Batson’s signature combination of vulnerable country lyrics derived from honest observation and young love’s perspective.

Recently, Batson kicked off his I Need A Truck Tour in Richmond, Virginia on September 7 and hits 29 markets before wrapping in his hometown of Birmingham, Alabama on November 2. Key stops include Kansas City, MO; Milwaukee, WI; Pittsburgh, PA; Philadelphia, PA and Boston, MA’s MGM Music Hall at Fenway. 
 
Batson is also joining Lainey Wilson’s Whirlwind Tour for select dates, including a stop at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on October 2.
 
The 15-year-old also recently released “No More,” a powerful track that taps into heartbreak and healing with a combination of grit, vulnerability and raw emotional delivery. Maddox Batson navigates the world with wisdom and wit far beyond his 15 years. After the Nashville-born, Alabama-based songwriter began gaining notoriety covering songs from Zach Bryan, Red Clay Strays and more, he started to write his own songs. Thanks to early singles like “Tears In The River” and “I Wanna Know,” Batson quickly showed that he wasn’t only a star at covering country hits, but an excellent writer of his own home-cooked cuts – a practice he saw first-hand as a co-writer on Lana Del Rey and Quavo’s smash hit collaboration, “Tough.”

CHRONICLER OF ARDUL Releases New Single “Watch Over Me”

CHRONICLER OF ARDUL, the dark fantasy symphonic death metal project composed and produced by David Williams, presents a new single titled “Watch Over Me.” This song departs from the heavier sonic palette of earlier releases, shifting toward a stripped-down, folk-rooted sound shaped by the world it inhabits.

The track is written from the perspective of travelers in Ardul, where moving between places carries real risk. It speaks from within that moment of vulnerability, not as a theatrical gesture, but as part of everyday life in a world shaped by danger and isolation. The song is not bleak. It reaches upward, asking unseen forces for protection, and gives voice to those hoping to make it home.

“‘Watch Over Me’ is tavern folk song about what it's like being on the road, especially those not prepared for the dangers that lurk in the shadows all around. But it's not a dark song, it's a hopeful song that begs the gods to make sure they are safe and can make it back home.

In Ardul traveling the roads is not taken lightly, but can be a necessary task to overcome. And along side the stories of Myrewood and Sword of Virné, ‘Watch Over Me’ helps tell what life is like in this harsh world.

The recording features Sofia Frasz, vocalist and composer behind EXILED HOPE. Her performance carries the song’s core emotion with clarity and restraint, and adds a distinct perspective to the growing body of work set in Ardul.

“Watch Over Me” expands the narrative established through Myrewood and Sword of Virné, offering a look at the people who move between those stories. It adds depth to the worldbuilding while remaining musically intimate.

CHRONICLER OF ARDUL was started as a passion project by David Williams when he wanted to combine his love of metal music and dark fantasy to tell a story that spanned over songs and albums. Born and raised on the Mississippi-Alabama line, 21-year-old Colin Stough was brought up on Southern rock and second chances. A self-taught guitarist and gravel-voiced storyteller influenced by The Allman Brothers, Conway Twitty, and Koe Wetzel, he first picked up a guitar at age 8, later trading in his prized possessions for a pawn shop acoustic — one he still plays today. After high school, he worked full-time as an HVAC tech until his mom pushed him to audition for American Idol Season 21. Montreal-based rock/metal powerhouse Deadly Apples is back with a new epic and dark single, "Sacrifice," available now on all major streaming platforms.

“Sacrifice” features collaborations with Richard Patrick (Filter / Nine Inch Nails) on vocals and Danny Lohner (Nine Inch Nails / Till Lindemann) on guitars and bass. The single was produced by Antoine Lamothe, with mixing handled by Ben Grosse (Depeche Mode), mastering by Tom Baker (Marilyn Manson), and pre-production by legendary producer Michael Beinhorn (Korn). PROFANE ELEGY is a black metal band from Bangor, Pennsylvania, formed in late 2021 by guitarist J Gulick and vocalist Mikael L. ENVY OF NONE RETURN WITH NEW 3-TRACK SINGLE ‘THE THRILL’, NEW VIDEO OUT TODAY, LIMITED EDITION 12” VINYL AVAILABLE

Following the release of their lauded second album Stygian Wavz in March, Canadian four-piece Envy Of None are back today with a 3-track single and a brand-new video. The new offering features an alternative version of album track, a demo version, and the album track itself.

Bassist Andy Curran states “Thrill of the Chase was one of the last songs we worked on before handing in the completed record. It started with Alf’s funky demo and Maiah loved it and was very vocal about completing it. She and I were wanting to add something up tempo to the record and this one, despite being a little left of center style wise seemed to fit nicely. It has a cool funky positive vibe that we enjoyed exploring, especially the outro dance party section!”

Alfio Annibalini adds “At first glance, this track seems like an odd choice to include on the album, but once Maiah added her vocals, the track instantly sounded as if EON had walked through a new yet familiar door. And as a special bonus, the remix even features a cowbell!”

DEVORA Releases New Single "Cocaine Karaoke" ​

Outlaw pop trailblazer DEVORA has released her brand-new single “Cocaine Karaoke” alongside a visualizer, available now on all platforms. 

“I wrote ‘Cocaine Karaoke’ in Nashville with Johnny Gates and Austin Luther, and it came out of one of the most unhinged relationships I’ve ever been in,” DEVORA shares. “I was dating this guy who was living a double life; completely full of shit, always coked up, making these wild promises that never meant anything. It almost became a running joke how insane his lies got, like I was just buying into this karaoke version of reality he was selling me. Fed up and spun out on emotional whiplash, I put it all into this song."

She adds, "His lies started to feel like karaoke: loud, performative, and not real. He’d promise me the world, but it was all just a drug-fueled performance—cocaine karaoke. All noise and no substance. This song is me calling it out for what it was and closing that chapter for good.”

When we played it on that tour in 2023 it really got the crowd moving every night so we are stoked that we finally have it out for the world to bang their heads to. As Everything Unfolds, who recently announced their signing to Century Media, have today released a brand new single, "POINT OF VIEW," hot on the heels of "SET IN FLOW," which released earlier this summer.

Speaking of "POINT OF VIEW," vocalist Charlie Rolfe says, "You give everything you have, your whole being, your whole life, to help someone but it's never enough if they don't want to help themselves. I really struggled to understand how someone close to me couldn't see my point of view in the awful situation we were in. They were angry when I helped, they were angry when I gave them space, they were angry when I stayed, they were angry when I left."

She continues, "It destroyed my confidence and my self-worth having to live in an environment where nothing I ever did was good enough. It hurts deeply to watch what can only be described as a car crash in slow motion, being unable to stop it but just having the strength to walk away and value your own mental health, your own sanity helped me gain back a small amount of those parts of me I lost. I really hope that some day, that person can listen to this song, and truly understand what it was like to be in that situation from my point of view."

KING ULTRAMEGA Partners With Joe Satriani On New Single "Be Yourself", A Heartfelt Tribute to Chris Cornell

Alternative rock collective KING ULTRAMEGA, featuring members of ALICE IN CHAINS, ANTHRAX, MASTODON, and SOUNDGARDEN, have returned with a haunting instrumental rendition of the AUDIOSLAVE classic, "Be Yourself". This new single release once again aims to celebrate Chris Cornell’s musical genius while raising funds and awareness for MusiCares. MusiCares is the Recording Academy’s nonprofit that provides mental health, addiction recovery, and emergency services to those in the music community. 

“Be Yourself” features legendary guitarist Joe Satriani on lead guitar, echoing vocalist Chris Cornell's melodic motifs and building on the song's phrasings. Though following in Cornell's footsteps on a different instrument sounds like a tall order, Satriani rose to the challenge, proud to show his love for a fallen hero. Expertly replicating the essence of the song with crystal-clear lead tones, tasteful vibrato, and subtle pedal effects, Satriani lets his guitar sing with all the passion and tenderness that the song's lyrics originally conveyed. This loving instrumental homage proves that the message and power behind AUDIOSLAVE's composition transcends words.

Satriani comments, "[Chris Cornell] was a brilliant vocalist and communicator. He often used his voice like an instrument, shaping the tone of his voice like a guitarist would finesse riffs and phrases. I took a deep dive into his magical sensibilities and came up with a multi-tracked guitar production approach that I felt would pay proper homage to his brilliance."

The concept for an instrumental rendition of "Be Yourself" originated with the bassist, producer, and mastermind of KING ULTRAMEGA, Mark Menghi. As a producer, he envisioned a version of the song that deftly balanced the art of paying respect to the original, while also reimagining the song with a unique musical voice from Satriani. As a bassist, Menghi strove to keep the bass parts nearly identical to the original song, allowing Satriani the freedom to lend his own voice to the music. Renowned drummer Kenny Aronoff, who has been named one of the greatest drummers of all time by Rolling Stone magazine, and has toured and recorded with a who’s who of legendary artists such as THE ROLLING STONES, THE SMASHING PUMPKINS, PAUL MCCARTNEY, JOHN FOGERTY and many more, provides the laid-back, but emotionally-resonant groove of "Be Yourself", laying the foundation with Menghi for Satriani's melodies to shine.

Menghi comments, "I remember like it was yesterday, I was on a run through some crazy trail,  just zoning out and the original song came on through my headphones… as I was running, I remember hearing Chris sing 'to be yourself is all that you can do' it was like he was talking to me… then thought to myself 'I can totally hear this as an instrumental a-la Satch style'... My hope is that whomever is listening to this song hears Chris over Joe’s guitar and understands that we are paying homage to Chris with our take on this tune."

Aronoff comments, "I listened to 'Be Yourself' over and over again, absorbing the lyrics and the feel and vibe of this song, then I recorded my drums. Their recording had an emotional impact on me and that had a big effect on my performance."

Mudvayne Drop ANOTHER New Track With "Sticks and Stones"

It's feast or famine!

 A mere two weeks ago, '00s hard rock provocateurs MUDVAYNE — Chad Gray[vocals], Greg Tribbett [guitar], Ryan Martinie [drums], and Matthew McDonough [drums] — thrilled fans by dropping  their first new single in 16 years with "HURT PEOPLE HURT PEOPLE" via Alchemy Recordings. While "HURT PEOPLE HURT PEOPLE" immediately clamped down on the jugular and was a primal scream return for the band, "Sticks and Stones" is a bit more measured in its ferocity. It showcases the band's mastery of quiet-loud dynamics and steadily escalates to an utterly monstrous breakdown. 

"I was always told 'sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me,'" says Gray. "Well, it's a great nursery rhyme, but I couldn't disagree more. I've carried a lot of words throughout my life as if they were just spoken to me. The reality is — they do hurt. I've tried my best to shed them, but when they come from dear friends, family — people that are suppose to love you — the words have teeth and they won't let go. Blood doesn't wash out; iit stains. I think I'm just trying to remind people to love their children. Don't use them as a bullet to fire into your ex or whomever you're with now. They're innocent and they are impressionable. And trust me, as a child, that was used as a weapon, your words will hurt them...long after you say them."

The band has also launched a pre-order for a double A Side 7" vinyl featuring both songs. There will be a standard version, as well as a variant that is signed and limited to 500 units. Mudvayne are looking towards their future as they also celebrate their impactful past. The song arrives on the eve of the band's L.D. 50 25th Anniversary headline tour, which kicks off today, September 11, and runs through October 26. L.D. 50was the band's debut studio album, arriving in August 2000 via Epic Records and established the band as a new yet major player in the hard rock scene. It eventually went on to achieve a Gold certification. Years after its release, both Revolver and Metal Hammer deemed the album an essential of the '00s metal class, rightfully so. The tour will feature support from Static-X, while Vended will open. JASON ALDEAN RELEASES NEW SINGLE, EXTENDS FULL THROTTLE TOUR

Reigning ACM Artist of the Decade Jason Aldean today announced an extension of the Full Throttle Tour, adding nine markets to the U.S. leg of his current international tour run with support from Nate Smith, Lanie Gardner, and Dee Jay Silver. Produced by Live Nation, the tour will visit nine additional US markets starting in 2026 at Simmons Bank Arena in North Little Rock, AR on January 15th. 2026 also sees Aldean returning to Australia, marking his first return to Australia since headlining in 2016, as well as his first headlining run in New Zealand. LA electronic duo LUCKYANDLOVE reveals 'Lonely At Night', rich taster of coming album

LA-based synthwave outfit LUCKYANDLOVE presents their new single 'Lonely At Night', a sultry retro-futuristic delight previewing their third album 'Humaura' (hu • mau • ra), defined by the duo as the atmosphere that emanates from the feelings of the human spirit void of technological control.

Inducing a melancholy dream state of layered sounds, 'Lonely At Night' brings a waterfall of cascading analog strings into shuttering bass lines as syncopated percussion splashes around. With haunted swirling vocals, buzzed out synths, and electrified vibes, they propose a sonic escape from the loneliness through this vortex-sea of sound.

Evoking a brand new art school originality, LUCKYANDLOVE is the raw sonic experiment of Loren Luck and April Love, whose music transcends genres. Their live analog synth beats, Moog instrumentation and beautiful, harmonic vocals trigger an immediate download of fuzzy sunset synthgaze, blue-black neon darkwave, and tigerprint electro punk.

"Picture of a vacant dorm room, where almost everyone left for holiday, leaving the character almost completely alone in a haunted dorm building. The track speeds up in the end, guitars and harmonies a cheerful finale," says April Love.

Loren Luck adds, "Loneliness is a killer. The song describes human feelings of being lonely and reconnecting. We are social animals that require human interaction in the flesh. Life is more enjoyable with someone to share it. Entrapments of modern day keeps people imprisoned. A romantic song."

'Lonely At Night' arrives on the back of their angst-laden anthem ‘I Am Human’, delicately fused together with pulsating molten kicks, abrasive fuzz-laden analog synths and confident sensual vocals. Calling out to make our own choices and take back our lives, this song underlines the need to reconnect with being Human.

This album was recorded, mixed and mastered for digital release by Grammy award-winning engineer Be Hussey (Modern English, Swervedriver, The Church, Alcest, Twin Tribes, Boy Harsher, Luna, Kim Deal) at Balboa Studio and Catwater for the digital music, and mastered for vinyl and lathe cut by Grammy-nominated engineer Nicholas Townsend (Cheap Trick, Weezer, Garbage, Dr. Dre, 2Pac, Grimes, Iron Maiden) at Townsend Mastering.

LUCKYANDLOVE’s visceral, urgently-present dark electro-pop appeal continues to stretch through time and space. Their 'Lucky + Love' and 'Transitions' albums earned them a global fan following and led to US and UK tours, while their tracks 'It's a Mistake', 'Animal' and 'Summertime Frolic' appeared in the film 'Tiger Within' (Ed Asner's final performance), featuring music supervised by Tony Knox, DJ at KXLU's No More Heroes show.
