Vocalist and songwriter Anne Autumn Erickson is putting a new spin on modern trap pop with her new single, "Crushin' on U."

"Crushin' on U" is a fun, carefree love song about having a crush on that special someone. On it, Anne Autumn shows off her rapping skills and angelic vocals over trap hip-hop beats.

Stream "Crushin' on U" on all platforms HERE, and watch the official music video for "Crushin' on U" below.

"Crushin' on U" closes out a busy year for Anne Autumn. In August, she released her fastest-climbing single yet in the delightful, soul-pop song "Feel the Love," featuring Canadian rapper Eazy Mac. The song has surpassed 12,000 Spotify streams and continues to grow. Both "Feel the Love" and "Crushin' on U" feature beat production by Gemini Beats.

In October, Anne Autumn released "Never Going Back," an empowering R&B song about not listening to anyone who tries to bring you down and, instead, coming out victorious. "Never Going Back" was produced by Clarity Sound/Foreign Familia Records.

As for Anne's metal band Upon Wings, they released one single this year and are gearing up for a comeback in 2024. This year, the band's 2022 single "Last Love," surpassed 26,000 Spotify streams.

Wounded Touch Release New Cover of Finch's "Worms of the Earth" via Smartpunk Records

Smartpunk Records' metal powerhouses Wounded Touch are violently busting back onto the scene with their rendition of Finch's original track "Worms of the Earth," out now. The cover is a nod to one of the band's most significant early influences.

The track, recorded and mixed by Andy Nelson (Pain of Truth, 200 Stab Wounds, Harm's Way) at Bricktop Recording and mastered by Ryan "Bart" Williams (The Black Dahlia Murder, Walls of Jericho), is the band's first release following up their dynamic split EP Traumatic Entanglement with FallFiftyFeet from earlier this year.

Since their inception, the Michigan outfit has used musical guerilla campaign tactics and a resilient DIY work ethic to make their way onto nationwide festivals and a full UK tour while gaining notoriety from metal's top publications including Metal Hammer, Brooklyn Vegan, and New Noise Magazine.

Speaking about the new single, Wounded Touch guitarist Mike Poshedly says, "We come from a time where compilations, samplers, video game, and movie soundtracks played a huge part in how we discovered new music growing up. Finch’s 'Worms of the Earth' was featured on both the Atticus Dragging the Lake 2 compilation and on the Underworld movie soundtrack. We had a short list of potential covers we wanted to explore but chose 'Worms of the Earth' because for us. It's an influence/song that encapsulates that era of how we discovered new music. The fact that the studio version of the song isn't streaming anywhere other than the music video on YouTube and the live version on Spotify further solidified the cover choice. We knew this would be a cover that would put us outside our comfort zone but we had a lot of fun revisiting an early influence dating back over 20 years ago."

WOUNDED TOUCH RELEASE COVER OF FINCH'S "WORMS OF THE EARTH" VIA SMARTPUNK RECORDS - LISTEN

ABOUT WOUNDED TOUCH
Even since their infancy, the Michigan outfit Wounded Touch have used musical guerilla campaign tactics to make their way onto the likes of The Fest, Furnace Fest '21 and '23 official pre-shows, SXSW, tour the United Kingdom, and sell out the first pressing of their debut LP while fighting for every inch of ground not given. Bringing influence through the scope of the nostalgic 2000s metalcore/mathcore sound, the band aims to always keep their heads down, remain humble, and push forward through any means necessary if it means continuing to be loud, noisy, and frantic on as many stages as possible.

ABOUT SMARTPUNK RECORDS:
Smartpunk has been a recognizable name in the scene for a long time (Remember that sponsored Warped Tour stage?!). After exchanging several hands and countless ideas of what it could and should be, they decided to start a record label in 2016 with the main idea of focusing solely on reissuing records that have been out of print or never on vinyl. After all, they're a label of vinyl dorks themselves! After releasing Set Your Goals' Mutiny and Gameface's Good, they started to venture into signing newer bands. They actively balance in between many worlds — putting out amazing music from friends and bands that rock, reissuing older titles, and partnering with other incredible labels in our scene and doing exclusive color variants of their releases. Since forming the record label, Smartpunk Records has released timeless albums such as Less Than Jake's Anthem, Nominee's Lowlife, RIVALS' Sad Looks Pretty on Me, Virginity's POPMORTEM, and melodic skate punkers The Swellers' My Everest.

The band describes the track as “a sludgy and honest expression of surviving in a world where everyone wants to have a bite.” They go on to explain, “The emptiness in the ritual of living to die starts and ends under the ‘Meat Suit,’ a relentless cycle of hunger and thirst that only deepens with each passing day.”

With its raw and unfiltered sound, "Meat Suit" delivers heavy, sludgy riffs and honest lyrics that reflect the band’s unique style and gritty worldview. The accompanying music video intensifies the song’s themes, offering a visual journey.

WATCH the official music video for "Meat Suit" below:

The Intemperate Sons’ take on alternative rock is a dark and powerful concoction of hard rock mixed with folk and grunge concepts. The band has earned a serious reputation for writing and performing tracks that scratch deep into the backbone of the human experience. There is no shortage of darkness in their writing style, which has a retro vibe with many guitar-driven tracks stacked on top of a groovy rhythm section. The heavier style fits perfectly with the two and three-part vocal harmonies that are a huge part of their overall sound. It has been said that musicians that are related form unique sounds and communicate at a frequency only they can understand. This frequency has become engrained in their songwriting, arrangements, guitar melodies and vocal harmonies. The band has been compared to Alice in Chains, Stone Temple Pilots and even R.E.M.

UK Alt-Pop Trio EXPLORING BIRDSONG Close a Chapter, Begin a New Era with "All I Lack" + Music Video

Piano-led, guitar-less British trio EXPLORING BIRDSONG closes the current chapter of its band history with their new single "All I Lack." From now on the band is fully focused on the future, gearing up for their debut album release in 2025.

"'All I Lack' being the last single ahead of our album release feels pretty profound," says EXPLORING BIRDSONG"It would make sense for this song to indicate where we’re headed next and let our listeners into what has been happening at Birdsong HQ, but that has never really how we’ve chosen to operate. This song has shades of old (in the most literal sense - there are actual parts and stems from old songs in here) and new, whilst still being totally true to us, which feels fitting as we move ahead in our next phase as a band.

"Essentially a love song, we’re tapping into new areas of songwriting that we’re starting to become more comfortable with exploring. Lyrically, 'All I Lack' faces the beauty of the feeling of loving someone, whilst knowing your time together at some point will end; and, as a result, wanting to almost stretch time so it never has to end. Arguably, it is easier to write whilst staying within the parameters of a concept or narrative. Writing about real life takes a degree of introspection that can be uncomfortable sometimes but essential in taking us to new places and maturing our writing. This one means a lot to us and feels like a great way to close this chapter of the band. We can’t wait for people to guess what on earth this album is going to be like!"

Rarely are new groups as exciting, talented or unique as EXPLORING BIRDSONG. Straddling pop, rock and uncategorisable genre-blending beauty, the band are unplaceable for the most part, but bring to mind elements of London Grammar, Kate Bush and Everything Everything.

Rarely too do you hear voices as captivating as frontwoman Lynsey Ward’s. Powerful, controlled, and spine-chillingly tender, Lynsey’s vocals help mark EXPLORING BIRDSONG as a prospect to watch, from the release of their acclaimed debut 'The Thing With Feathers' (2019, Long Branch Records) to 2023's EP 'Dancing in the Face of Danger.'

Hunter Oliveri Shares "Queen of the Slum" Video

Hunter Oliveri, the 18-year-old talent who has been steadily buzzing and creating a name for himself, is closing out 2024 with the video for his new single "Queen of the Slum."

Watch it below

The song is a grungy, alt-pop jam paired with a truly relatable lo-fi video shot on handheld cameras by Hunter and a bunch of his friends. If you haven't been shirtless in a shopping cart and feverishly raced down the street you grew up on, have you ever even been young?

"'Queen of the Slum' is about being young in a relationship and how love feels like an unpolished but exciting time in life where we are all trying to find our place in the chaos," Oliveri says.

Oliveri previously shared the tracks "Novocain," "Stranger," "Dumb," "Spiraling Out," and "SCUM."

Go ahead and further familiarize yourself with the artistry of Hunter Oliveri.

ABOUT HUNTER OLIVERI:
So what else do you need to know about Hunter Oliveri, whose previous single "Kids" was tipped by Pigeons + Planes? Plenty!

His songs channel the alternative and grunge blueprint of his musical heroes — like Chris Cornell and Soundgarden, Billy Corgan and the Smashing Pumpkins — imbued with the playful opaqueness of Kurt Cobain's lyricism and the easy slacker hooks of Weezer.

Like all of Oliveri's music, it speaks to the messiness of growing up. It sounds exactly like that, too. He simply writes what he knows.

There are songs about partying too hard and songs about loving too much; songs about last night's headrush highs and the morning-after's anxious comedown. There are songs for when you seek the comfort of relatability, and there are songs for when you want to simply say "fuck it all."

They are the product of the humble authenticity of someone who's grown up in a place no different to a million others the world over. Most have never heard of Paso Robles, CA, and might never again. There's sunshine, strip malls, and vineyards that outnumber venues ten to one, where the nearby underground music scene of San Luis Obispo a few miles down the road is more accessible than anything resembling the bright lights of L.A. two hours to the south or San Francisco up north. "It's a boring city, but we make the most of it," Oliveri shrugs. "We'll go skating, or hang out and smoke. And anyway, it's fun to go moshing in someone's basement."

It's no surprise, then, that Oliveri is used to creating more interesting scenes than those that existed outside his window. As a kid, he would do so in the stories he dreamt up in his bedroom. "I like writing stories about worlds I'd want to live in," he says, "which made my own world seem so much bigger."

Such creativity inevitably morphed into songwriting in his early teenage years — though music had long since embedded itself within him. "I was probably four years old when I first heard 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' around my parents’ house," he recalls of music's omnipresence in his life. "I never knew the name of the song but every time I heard it, I'd be like, shit, it's that song. It would give me this majestic feeling." He laughs that his mom holds a video recording of her son gamely plucking through a rendition of a Metallica song (it was the epic "One") at his Kindergarten graduation performance. His dad — an avid fan of Korn and Tool — meanwhile tells him that his parents met at Woodstock; not the peace-and-love of Woodstock '69, but, more aptly, the confusion-and-chaos of Woodstock '99.

A chance meeting at age 14 with a local producer's father while in a coffee shop with his grandpa was the first domino to fall in Oliveri's music story. The rest is a history still to be written. "I've been so incredibly lucky, but I've manifested this, too," he says. "I've always known writing music would be my life. I just had to make it happen. It was hard to find kids around my city that played instruments and wanted to be in a band, but I've been writing songs every day in my bedroom since I was maybe 13 years old. It takes me to a different place."

Those songs are anthems for those disassociated with the world on their doorstep, the soundtrack to growing up marooned inside a digital world that Oliveri speaks of with disdain as "rotting people’s brains."

"I want to bring people into my world through my music," he adds. "I want people to feel something when they listen to my music, and to relate to me, and for me to be a friend and an outlet for them."

And as for everything else?

Well, he'll figure it out as he goes.

The Nomadic Release Two New Singles, "The Absolution" and "Marie Antoinette"; New Record Drops December 12th!

Following on from the release of their first singles "Treading Water", "All Changed", "First Light", "Don’t Give Up on Your Dreams", "Hearts and Minds" and "Revolution", The Nomadic has released two new singles. "The Absolution" and "Marie Antoinette" from their sophomore album New Horizons out now all all major platforms!

Singer Songwriter Rob Gaylard relocated home to Sydney Australia in February 2022 after 5 years as a regular feature of the New York City indie rock scene and recorded New Horizons with Dan Frizza in Sydney at Forbes Studios.

"The Absolution is a song about love, loss, forgiveness and recovery.. It is for sure a nod to The Boss himself, aka Bruce Springsteen, and is heavily influenced by my time in Afghanistan, and in particular the mental health issues caused by America’s troop surge in 2009. It was and is a time of great personal loss, and for many Afghan and US families. It is also heavily inspired by the case of Beau Bergdahl who was held captive from 2009-2014," says Rob Gaylard.

About the new release "Marie Antoinette", Rob adds, “It’s incredibly exciting to be releasing Marie Antoinette today! It feels like the culmination of a long journey, from the initial conception of the songs to the development and creation of the final product in the studio, mixing and mastering! Combine that with the emotional experience of going through some rough times and coming out the other side to see some New Horizons – overall It’s been a bit of a marathon!”

The Nomadic is the best of Aussie rock talent, with Miles Thomas (Lior, Ronan Keating, Montaigne)on drums, Oliver Thorpe (The Whitlams, Matt Corby, Meg Mac) on guitar, and Brendan Clark (Meg Mac, Montaigne, Jack River) on bass. Dan Frizza as producer lends the kind of magic touch that has seen him enrich the work of the likes of Tones & I, King Princess, and Gurrumul.

Australian guitarist and singer/songwriter Robert Gaylard brings a unique perspective and vision when it comes to creating music. His inspiration and passion for starting The Nomadic began early on as a child after traveling to many countries like Myanmar (formerly Burma), Singapore and the Solomon Islands. His “nomadic” lifestyle continued on into his adulthood when he began to work for the United Nations in various countries such as: Kenya, Somalia, the Sudan, Afghanistan, Indonesia, Israel and Palestine. His travels eventually brought him to New York in September of 2012 and motivated him to pursue his songwriting by establishing an indie rock band.

Influenced by artists like Oasis, Radiohead, The Verve, Bruce Springsteen, Phosphorescent, The War on Drugs, Arizona and The 1975, The Nomadic produces a sound genre like no other as alternative rock meets blues with hints of Americana and pop.

Having been originally influenced by numerous cultures and ways of life, The Nomadic promotes and advocates for issues of social action and innovation, human rights, support for minorities, as well as doing the next right thing, including the idea that it is never too late, including for people to follow their dreams and passions.

The Nomadic is:
Rob Gaylard/Singer songwriter
Dan Frizza/ producer/ keyboards
Miles Thomas/ Drums
Oli Thorpe/ lead guitar

“Tender Rage” by Hence: A Haunting Ode to the Pain of Longing

In their poignant new single, Tender Rage, Hence delves into the anguish of yearning for intimacy while feeling disconnected from it. Drawing inspiration from Kierkegaard’s existential philosophy, the song tells the story of Helena, a woman caught between a desire for closeness and the barriers she creates to protect herself from vulnerability.

Helena’s “tender rage” reflects the quiet frustration of searching for love in places that cannot offer true solace. Her struggle speaks to a universal human experience: the tension between our need for connection and our fear of exposure. “She feels the soul’s demand for something real,” Hence explains, “yet she’s trapped behind her own defenses, craving a depth she hesitates to embrace.”

Musically, Tender Rage captures this conflict with Hence’s signature “Rage Romance” sound—layered beats and haunting choral refrains that echo Helena’s inner turmoil: “Ohhhhh ohhhhhh Helena / Wrapped in a tender rage.” The song is a lament for anyone who has ever felt the ache of being close, yet far away.

The release comes with a stunning version re-worked by Danny Briottet who has taken ‘Tender’ to new oddities and ‘Rage’ to the dance floor.

Long Lost Pleasers - (Darker Seas Interlude) is a small teaser to the forthcoming single (2025) Steadying The Ship which is yet another ode to the troubles of living.

Dead Poet Society Share New Version of "HURT" (Feat. The Warning)

Los Angeles quartet DEAD POET SOCIETY, who were recently tipped by The New York Post's Page Six as a band to know, dropped their second albumFISSION earlier this year via Spinefarm. It's available here.

They have not taken a beat since releasing the album, embarking on a non-stop, Herculean touring schedule, screaming up the radio charts, and winning over press and fans with every performance. They appeared at several Spring festivals, as well.

Today, they have shared the reimagined version of their single "HURT," featuring rock band The Warning. Listen here.

Watch the visualizer below.

"We're so excited to release this new version of 'HURT' featuring The Warning," Dead Poet Society say. "We first saw Paulina from The Warning singing along to the song on social media, when we were on Shiprocked together. So it seemed only natural to invite her up for a repeat performance at Aftershock. It became such a moment, that we invited them to record a studio version with us and all three of The Warning sisters."

"The first time we heard the song was while working on our album Keep Me Fedwith our producer, Anton DeLost, who also produced Dead Poet Society's album," state The Warning. "When 'HURT' came out, we were in the studio and heard it there. We immediately congratulated Anton on everything because it was just incredible. From that moment, we became fans of the song.

"Later, we met DPS on Shiprocked and heard the song live for the first time, which was amazing. Then, at Aftershock, DPS invited Pau to perform it with them on stage. That performance brought everything together, and after it, we started talking like, 'Hey, maybe we should hop on the song officially.' Now, we’'e thrilled to see it finally being released. It's such a powerful song, and we're incredibly happy to be part of it."

Elsewhere, their previous single "RUNNING IN CIRCLES," which was a Top 10 track at radio, appears on MADDEN 25, one of the most beloved video game franchises of the fall season. The band also played some of the biggest shows its career, gracing the main stage at Reading & Leeds (UK) and appearing at Pukkelpop (Belgium), Lowlands (Holland), and Rock en Seine (Paris).

Clearly, 2024 has been a banner year for Dead Poet Society thus far. Stay tuned for more from the band in 2025.

Prior to the release of FISSION, Dead Poet Society accumulated over 100 million global streams, with nearly 50 million streams in the U.S. alone. The band also enjoyed two Top 15 singles at radio and key playlisting. They have also spent as much time as possible on the road — having toured with alt rock powerhouses Badflower, Biffy Clyro, Highly Suspect, and BRKN Love. The band has ultimately established itself as an intense live act not to be missed!

PHIL X & THE DRILLS Unveil New Single “Don't Wake Up Dead” + Visualizer

Legendary guitarist Phil X’s own band, PHIL X & THE DRILLS, is thrilled to unveil a new single “Don’t Wake Up Dead”, featuring Korn drummer Ray Luzier, out now via Frontiers Music Srl. The track comes with brand-new artwork created by Thomas Estrada. The video is accompanied by a new visualizer.

Phil X commented on the single:

“'Don’t Wake Up Dead' is a look at how people just go through the motions of life just to get to the end of their day. I know because I, myself, have been there. To put it into impactful words, if you’re not waking up ready to conquer all obstacles, you’re waking up dead. Plus… Put to music that’s like downing a triple espresso is pretty awesome."

Check Out the New Visualizer for "Don't Wake Up Dead" below.

In 2003, THE DRILLS started to cause a stir in Hollywood, with their brand of punk mixed with classic and modern rock with guitar virtuosic undertones. Phil X was at the helm as the lead vocalist and guitar player. Daniel Spree on bass and backing vocals and Jeremy Spencer(Five Finger Death Punch) completed the power trio. They remained quite underground and released their first EP, 'Kick Your Ass In 17 Minutes' in 2009. Jeremy had left to start FFDPby this time, so the constant rotation of drummers began.

Also, in that time period, Phil was becoming a groundbreaking YouTube sensation on a video channel called Fretted Americana, where he demoed vintage guitars. Actual 1959 Gibson Les Pauls (worth in the range of $250K),1954 Fender Stratocasters, and hundreds of other guitars were put through their paces in Phil’s hands. Before he knew it, Fretted Americana was sitting on millions of collective views and from a marketing standpoint, it made sense to take THE DRILLS to another level as PHIL X & THE DRILLS.

'We Bring The Rock’n’Roll' was the follow-up to 'KYAI17M.' With even more classic rock flavors stirred into the mix, this was the first endeavor to feature famed drummers that Phil had worked with on other artists’ records, including Chris Cornell, Daughtry, Kelly Clarkson, and Gavin DeGraw to name a few.

Drummers like Josh Freese (Sting, Foo Fighters), Abe Laboriel Jr (Paul McCartney, Eric Clapton), and fellow Canadian Randy Cooke (Smashmouth, Five for Fighting) were all featured on this record.

Following two successful tours in the UK, the band released 'We Play Instruments ’N Sh!t.' Musically showing vast growth in writing and production, the band was excited to unleash this heightened evolvement to their new fan base. The fan base started to grow exponentially, due to Phil filling in for Richie Sambora in Bon Jovi for thirteen shows in 2011. Phil went on to replace Sambora in 2016 and has been juggling both bands along with becoming a father since.

Multiple tours and recordings with Bon Jovi inevitably took the front seat in Phil’s career but every time he got a break, he was writing and setting up recording sessions with drummers like Tommy Lee, Tico Torres, Ray Luzier, and many more.

The first of these sessions were mixed by Chris Lord Alge and released on 'Stupid Good Lookings Vol 1.' Taylor Hawkins, Glen Sobel, Brent Fitz, Matt Chamberlain, Abe Laboriel Jr, and Randy Cooke all participated on this drum extravaganza with more sessions in the vault.

2024 marked an exciting new landmark for the band when they opened for Mötley Crüe at Summerfest in Springfield, IL. Phil X, Daniel Spree, and Brent Fitz took the stage and left the 10,000 attendees, event coordinators, promoters, and agents (not to mention the headliner) all thrilled.

Finally, the band recently signed to Frontiers Records Srl and is excited to embark on a new journey with new music.

PHIL X & THE DRILLS:

Phil X - Lead Vocals & Guitars

Daniel Spree - Bass & Background Vocals

Ray Luzier – Drums

Speaking on the single, songwriter and bassist Andy Curran said “Alf & I toiled over this one for months and really felt, even at its rough demo stage that we had something special. Joe Vitale's drum track and percussion added an almost trance like vibe and the icing on the cake, is an unmistakable “Alex” guitar solo. Novelists Release Double-Single "CODA" + "KO"

French metal band NOVELISTS return to the scene with a double whammy of heavy music brilliance and are conjuring up more new music for 2025. The singles are carefully selected to showcase their expansive musical range and have been released through the new record label, ACKOR, created by members of LANDMVRKS and NOVELISTS.

"CODA" packs a powerful punch and is accompanied by a music video while "K.O." shows off the band's soaringly melodic side.

When asked about the double-single, Novelists say, "We imagined 'CODA' and 'K.O.' almost as a mini-album where instead of getting a single track without context, people would get to listen to a wider range of our music and get a better understanding of where we want to go with that album right from the first releases. The heavy-catchy 'CODA,' followed by a more emotional and deeper 'K.O.'"

ABOUT NOVELISTS:
Novelists are a female-fronted French metal band that has taken the global metalcore scene by storm with their unique blend of progressive and melodic elements.

With a sound that defies boundaries, Novelists has carved out a distinct identity on the global metalcore stage, blending technical mastery with atmospheric depth and emotional resonance. Originally from Paris, the band has become known for genre-bending tracks like "Okapi" and "Prisoner," which fuse progressive metal, post-rock, and ambient influences into a style that's as intense as it is introspective.

Their exceptional musicianship is a defining characteristic, with intricate guitar work and progressive structures, particularly in Pierre Danel's and Florestan Durand's precise, virtuosic guitar solos.

Their focus on technical detail and thoughtful song construction adds layers to their music that few bands in the genre achieve.

The band’s recent addition — Camille Contreras as lead vocalist has brought fresh energy and innovation to their sound, propelling Novelists in exciting new directions while staying true to their core identity. Currently on a world tour, including stops in Australia, Asia, Europe and North America supporting bands like NORTHLANE, PERIPHERY, TESSERACT, ERRA, and set to reach more audiences worldwide over the next seven months, Novelists are proving their commitment to connecting with fans across continents.

Known for intense and immersive live performances, Novelists deliver high-energy shows that showcase their technical prowess and emotional depth, creating a must-see experience. Their commitment to forward-thinking sound production further enhances their recordings and live shows, utilising modern audio techniques to craft an enveloping, multi-dimensional sonic landscape.

With a new album on the horizon and a lineup brimming with passion and innovation, Novelists continue to evolve, promising their fans a future filled with boundary-breaking sounds and authentic connections.

Joe Henry Releases Remastered Edition of "Invisible Hour"

Over the course of this year, Joe Henry set out to re-release three of his most acclaimed albums that defined his coming-of-age as a record maker. With today’s release of Invisible Hour, the momentous reissue trilogy now comes to an end.

Released for the first time in 2014, Invisible Hour followed a very busy period for Joe Henry who produced songs for Bonnie Raitt's Grammy-winning 2012 album Slipstream, and albums for the likes of Billy Bragg, Rodney Crowell and Mary Karr, Natalie Duncan, Hugh Laurie and Over the Rhine. In his own body of work, "Invisible Hour" was preceded by Henry’s acclaimed records Blood From Stars (2009) and Reverie (2011).

"After courting the particular chaos that was both Blood From Stars and Reverie, I heard an ask that accompanied the new songs arriving that would ultimately become the album Invisible Hour; and the ask was simply that I allow beauty, wherever it occurred, to remain just that: beautiful. No need to send my voice chasing through a haunted house; no requirement to smear anyone’s lipstick out of hand." Henry reflects.

Working together with recording engineer Ryan Freeland and several other of his closest collaborators, Henry brought the songs to life in his studio at The Garfield House in South Pasadena, California.

"I wanted instead to let the songs stand in the full light of their afternoon; didn’t want to create the impression that any production concept stood between a song and its receiver.”, Henry says about the musical direction of the record. “It was the single direction I offered engineer Ryan Freeland: that he was free and encouraged to let as much of that available light into the picture as possible, obscuring nothing."

As of Friday , the reissue edition of Invisible Hour is available in stores as 180g black double-vinyl in a high-quality gatefold jacket, CD Digipak and for digital download and streaming. It features all album tracks in remastered sound as well as a special selection of bonus material, including alternate versions and demos.

Access Invisible Hour here.

In addition to Invisible Hour, Henry’s reissue trilogy also includes his 2007 record Civilians and the 2009 album Blood From Stars. All three reissue-albums are available now and pressed on 180g double-vinyl for the very first time. Additionally, they are available as CD Digipak, for streaming and digital download via earMUSIC.

Ashley McBryde Rides Toward the Spirit of the West with "Ain't Enough Cowboy Songs"

Lauded as “one of the best artists in present-day country” by Stereogum, Ashley McBryde releases an ode to the spirit of the west and the values that shaped it with “Ain’t Enough Cowboy Songs,” available now via Warner Music Nashville. Listen below.

“Cowboys are the ones doing what needs to be done before it is an emergency,” McBryde shared with Cowboys & Indians. “If you would simply be where you are, do what you say you’re gonna do and mean what you say when you say it, it would simplify a lot of things.”

Produced by John Osborne, “Ain’t Enough Cowboy Songs” swells with longing from the very first stroke across the fiddle strings – a fitting introduction as McBryde and cowriters Chris Harris and Patrick Savage explored a shared sense of something missing, along with a desire for meaning and reconnection in a changing world.

“This one was all about where we live and the genre we love and realizing that the horse I rode in on got put out to pasture,” McBryde explained. “Instead of us saying, ‘Work ethic’s out the window, stick-to-it code’s pretty much dead and idealism is gone,’ it was easier to say that by saying there is no wild out west. That’s all gone.”

Next week, McBryde will head to Las Vegas where she will join 23-time Women’s Professional Rodeo Association World Champion Roper Jackie Crawford for a Q&A session at Ariat’s Las Vegas brand shop on Thursday, Dec. 12, followed by an acoustic performance. Additional details available HERE.

On Friday, Dec. 13, she will perform with Cody Johnson at MGM Grand Garden Arena before joining him for his Leather Deluxe Tour in 2025 among festival dates at Stagecoach, Country Thunder Arizona, Country Thunder Florida, Country Thunder Wisconsin and more. RYAN AND RORY PRAY “HEAVEN’S GOT A COUNTRY STATION,” AHEAD OF GRAND OLE OPRY DEBUT TONIGHT (12/7)

Delivering “commercial polish and good-natured, honest storytelling” (Tennessean), rising country duo Ryan and Rory - named a SiriusXM 2024 “Highway Find” - today release the tender and nostalgic “Heaven’s Got A Country Station,” ahead of their Grand Ole Opry debut tomorrow night (12/7). Written by Ryan and Rory with Andy Albert and producer Kevin Bard, listen to “Heaven’s Got A Country Station” HERE and watch the official music video below.

"I’ve dreamed of playing the Grand Ole Opry my entire life," says Rory John Zak. “It’s more than a dream come true though. It’s an honor and a privilege. We are sincerely humbled to perform in 'the circle' for our very first time.”

“‘Heaven’s Got A Country Station’ comes from a very personal point of view," says Ryan Follesé. "Our love of country music was passed down to us from our parents, so seeing how it resonates to so many who hear their own story in it, is so rewarding. It was inspired by personal feelings but it’s turned into a surprisingly universal message we weren’t expecting.”

“Poised to be a staple on countless playlists and radio” (PopCulture), “Ryan and Rory are the next heir apparent to the country duo throne” (Country Swag). Having opened for Sam Hunt and Jamey Johnson this year, the eloquent new track speaks to losing the loved one responsible for igniting your passion for country music.

“Heaven’s Got A Country Station” follows the duo’s self-titled debut EP that was released earlier this year to critical acclaim. Featuring the lively smash “Pour Decisions,” the fan favorite was praised by Country Now as a “catchy, post-heartbreak summertime anthem,” by Country Swag as “the perfect combination of enticing production and fun, sing-along ready lyrics” and by MusicRow as drawling, drowsy, boozy, Southern and loping. Relax and ride along.

About Ryan and Rory

BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville's country music duo Ryan and Rory “are bursting onto the scene” (Country Swag). Named a SiriusXM “Highway Find,” Ryan and Rory’s buzzy party starter “Pour Decisions” is a nod to the universal heartache band-aid, with the lively smash launching their highly anticipated self-titled debut EP, available now. Ryan Follesé is a Nashville native, 2X PLATINUM #1 hit singer-songwriter and American Music Award winner. Rory John Zak, from Raleigh, North Carolina, is a multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter who has played over 300 shows per year since he was 17. Having opened for Sam Hunt and Jamey Johnson this year and acclaimed by MusicRow “to make major waves on the country music scene,” Ryan co-wrote all six tracks on the project, with Rory adding his masterful instrumentals and expertly smooth harmonies to Ryan’s robust lead vocals. Featuring their vivacious anthem along with standout smash “This Town” that Billboardapplauded as a “must-hear” new country song, the EP embodies that vibrant, wide-open spirit, while also showcasing their musical depth with bright imagery, buoyant lyricism, and soul-stirring ballads. Delivering “commercial polish and good-natured, honest storytelling” (Tennessean), “Ryan and Rory are the next heir apparent to the country duo throne” (Country Swag). “Poised to be a staple on countless playlists and radio stations (PopCulture), the duo will make their Grand Ole Opry debut on December 7 and is already back in the studio working on new music, having just released the nostalgic “Heaven’s Got A Country Station.”

Bloodywood Team Up with BABYMETAL for New Single "Bekhauf"

Bloodywood, torchbearers and metal barrier-breakers hailing from India, share the new video today for new single "Bekhauf," featuring fellow international superstars BABYMETAL. Watch the video below.

An incredible cultural collision takes place on "Bekhauf." The track layers Bloodywood's gloriously gruff vocals and Indian folk sonic nuances with the sweetly melodic vocals of Japan's BABYMETAL. The hyper fast riffing and ferocious breakdown will incite moshpits and non-stop headbanging. Ultimately, the song reminds us that hard rock/metal is a universal language and welcoming to all styles, ethnicities, and genders. And that's truly a beautiful and brutal thing!

"'Bekhauf' means 'fearless' in Hindi," explains the band. "It was born out of the realization that fear can be seen as a choice, and that choice is our own. It's about using this knowledge to take control of our fears and eliminate the side of them that holds us back."

Bloodywood continue, "It also marks our first ever collaboration. We've been waiting to find the right artists to work with and when the possibility of the BABYMETAL collab emerged, we knew it was time. We were all fans of their music, but were still surprised by the level of synergy we managed to achieve on the track. It's a trilingual song and features English, Hindi. and Japanese, BABYMETAL even sang some parts in Hindi. but we think you can feel the message regardless and that's a testament to this synergy."

The band finishes, "The fact that we tied it all together by creating an anime/video game hybrid video pushes everything to the next level. This is a piece of Asian metal history and we're proud to share it with the world."

Bloodywood also announced this week the continuation of their RETURN OF THE SINGH tour their May 2025 Japanese tour, with pre-sale tickets going on sale this week. Dates are here.

This is a continuation of their rapidly selling extensive UK and European tour in February and March 2025. All dates are here.

Bloodywood — comprised of Karan Katiyar, Jayant Bhadula, and Raoul Kerr — craft hard-hitting yet modern folk metal sound has made the world sit up, take notice, show up, and sing along. The band recently announced its worldwide signing to Fearless Records and shared the music/video for the song "Nu Delhi," which offers some insight into the band's history, as well as its home city. Watch the video for the trilingual track, which has accrued over 3 million streams in just 7 weeks, here.

Bloodywood first caught the attention of the internet with their YouTube channel, when multi-instrumentalist, producer, and composer Katiyar and vocalist Bhadula were about to get deadly serious about their craft. Bolstered by the support they were getting, Bloodywood dropped "Ari Ari" in 2018. A Punjabi folk song made famous in the early 2000s remix boom in India by hip-hop act Bombay Rockers, Bloodywood pushed it further with help from the gritty New Delhi-based conscious hip-hop artist/rapper Raoul Kerr.

With the additional accessibility from Kerr's English rap verses, Katiyar's inimitable flute melody, and Bhadula's powerful vocals, the band's first original song "Jee Veerey" dropped in 2018 and brought a flood of praise from around the world. With this release, the band discovered its sound and message. Songs like "Endurant" (an anti-bullying anthem) and "Machi Bhasad (Expect A Riot)" arrived in 2019 saw Bloodywood level up, adding Kerr as a full-time member. "We're trying to push the limits of the impact that music can have on the world," says Kerr. "Whether it's the battles within or the fight for a better world, our sound is meant to bring everyone together and win."

Joined on tour by drummer Vishesh Singh (a fixture since their early days), bassist Roshan Roy (a seasoned figure in New Delhi's indie music scene) and dhol player Sarthak Pahwa, Bloodywood took their music out of the studio and to concerts across Europe, UK and Russia for their first-ever tour.  The sold-out "Raj Against The Machine Tour" in 2019 was proof that an Indian metal band’s global online following would convert into packed venues.

Even a global pandemic couldn't stop the juggernaut that was Bloodywood — "Yaad," released in early 2020 had deepened their storytelling. The band followed it up in late 2021 with "Gaddaar," taking aim at how politicians use religion to gain votes. Songs like "Aaj" and "Dana Dan" (the latter rallying against rape culture) built up to the release of their debut self-released album Rakshak in 2022. It was important to them to keep fighting the good fight, whether it was against one's closely-held inner demons or the decaying standards of global governance. It earned them a nomination for Best International Breakthrough Artist at the Heavy Music Awards in 2022.

Bloodywood went on to perform to packed crowds and at major global festivals — from Lollapalooza India, Download Festival, Bloodstock (UK), Hellfest (France), Summer Breeze (Germany) to Brutal Assault (Czechia), to Fuji Rock (Japan) and American mainstays like Louder Than Life and Aftershock.

In 2024, "Dana Dan" even made it to a pivotal sequence in the Jordan Peele-produced action movie Monkey Man, directed by and starring Dev Patel.
Now, after more than a year of chipping away at their new material, Bloodywood are ready to unleash to the world their second album in the first part of 2025 showing the depth and power of Indian Folk Metal.
