Audio Karate Drop First New Song in Nearly 20 Years With "A Show of Hands"

California's melodic-punk outfit Audio Karate return with their first studio recordings in almost 20 years!

The band reunited in early 2018 following the reissue of their two classic LPs Space Camp and Lady Melody. They later released two albums worth of previously unreleased material on Malo and ¡Otra! and got back on the road for festival appearances and playing with the likes of Descendents and other punk legends. The band quickly realized that playing together was an important part of their lives, and they went into the studio to record the new song "
A Show of Hands" in 2022, while also re-recording their song "A Monster in Disguise," adding some much needed production work, making it a much more powerful song.

This limited edition 7-inch EP is being presented by Iodine Recordings, which includes beautiful artwork by Jeff Caudill (Gameface) and photography from the studio and recent tour dates, and was mastered by Jack Shirley (Joyce Manor, Jeff Rosenstock). These songs showcase the power, and precision of Audio Karate's songwriting, which masterfully strikes a balance of hyper-melodic punk rock, emo, and post-hardcore.

It's out June 30. Pre-order it
here.

"'A Show of Hands' is our first recording of the modern era, recorded at New Monkey Studio (previously Elliot Smith's studio) in late 2021," says guitarist Jason Camacho. "Pandemic stuff had made it so we hadn't been in a room together in a minute and we were beyond happy with the outcome. Instantly recognizable as an Audio Karate song, it blends elements of everything one would expect from AK, rolling bass lines, hummable riffs, rusty nail gargled vocals, and catchy hooks."

Hollywood Vampires Share "Manic Depression (Live In Rio)" Video

SONG APPEARS ON UPCOMING ALBUM LIVE IN RIO OUT JUNE 2 VIA EARMUSIC

The Hollywood Vampires, the rock supergroup consisting of Johnny Depp, Alice Cooper, Joe Perry, and Tommy Henriksen, have released a blistering live version of the Jimi Hendrix classic "Manic Depression," recorded during their show at "Rock in Rio" 2015 in front of 100,000 fans. The track features Depp's energetic guitar work, Cooper's distinctive voice, Perry's inimitable solos, and is backed by the thunderous rhythm guitar of Tommy Henriksen.

below. Stream the song here.

"Manic Depression" was originally released on Hendrix's 1967 debut album Are You Experienced and has become a staple in the rock music canon. The Hollywood Vampires' live version brings a new energy to the song with its explosive instrumentation and electrifying solos that capture the frenzied spirit of Hendrix's original. It's a song that never fails to captivate audiences and transport them back to the magic of the '60s. The live version of "Manic Depression" is available on all major streaming platforms. The Hollywood Vampires are on tour and will be performing throughout Europe throughout the summer.

In 2015, the Hollywood Vampires not only released their first album, but also played one of their biggest concerts, which will now be released as their first live album. After this success and the media interest in the ultimate rock group, sold-out concerts, and tours all over the world followed, and finally, in 2019, the second album Rise. Over 50,000 physical units sold, millions of streams, and worldwide cover stories in major magazines later, fans, press, and the band were ready to bring these songs to the stage. Unfortunately, part of the tour had to be postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and will finally be made up for this summer. Fittingly, the first live album will be released a few days earlier on June 2.

The new album Live in Rio will be released as CD+DVD Digipak, CD+Blu-ray Digipak, limited + numbered 2LP Gatefold Black, and can be pre-ordered here.

JASON NEIL (ARCANIUM) Set to Redefine Modern Metal with New Project, MIND INCISION!

Denver, CO based metal musician and front-man JASON NEIL, formerly of Arcanium, has brought together a new cast of some of the most creative characters with his newest heavy rock band, MIND INCISION! Formed in September 2022, MIND INCISION also includes lead guitarist JON MAGGARD, bassist AEON CRUZ (MOTOGRATER), rhythm guitarist KYLE LOUCKS, and drummer KELLY MORSE, making them a “super group” of some of the best independent metal talent!

Debut EP, The First Cut, Out 2023!

“I did some really sweet tours with Arcanium over the 5 or 6 years we toured. Bullet For My Valentine, Butcher Babies, Ill Nino, Otep, and Machine Headwere amongst some of the funnest.

What’s cool is the very first tour I scored as the vocalist of Arcanium, was with Megadeth. I grew up listening to Megadeth and was completely floored that Dave Mustaine had hand picked us for their tour.

The difference between Mind Incision and Arcanium for me is that the band writes music that is diverse. There is slow melodic tones and riffs, and also chunky driving powerhouse riffs. So the album came out great!

We're currently seeking tours and have a couple offers on the table, as well as generated some industry professional interest since coming back to the scene with Mind Incision. I think this band is going to take off. We’re not here to fuck around and party. We are here to get out there and do some incredible things with the music we are creating for some good causes as well as for the fans, and if you liked I first 3 singles, you ain’t seen nothing yet!”

"'Zero230' is inspired by soldiers who are suffering from PTSD or anyone that knows someone who is or has suffered in the past. In this song we talk about how a soldier wakes up in the middle of the night from dreams that take him back to the war and how it affects his/her everyday life. With no actual way to get rid of it. If you know someone that is suffering from PTSD please get them the help they need by sharing these links and phone numbers below." - MIND INCISION

Avant Garde Black Metal Band HENGET Streams New Album in Full

Guitarist Jesse J. Heikkinen (The Abbey, Iterum Nata) and vocalist King Aleijster de Satan (King Satan, Saturnian Mist) have teamed up for a mind-bending progressive black metal project, HENGET. The emerging Finnish band is now streaming its fortjcoming debut album, 'Beyond North Star,' in its entirety ahead of Friday's release! Stream below.

HENGET comments, "Here it is then, the full album stream of our debut album, 'Beyond North Star.' It has been artistically and spiritually really intense and exciting journey from the moment of inception to this day. We hope that something from all of this will be transferred to you as well with the complete album. Let the walls between the realities crumble and may the metaphysical North Star descend upon our foreheads."

Drawing inspiration from the world of occult and the ways of ancient Shamanism, 'Beyond North Star' depicts a violent hallucinatory journey to the depths of the mind and beyond with a psychedelic outlook.

HENGET
will be debuting its first full-length, 'Beyond North Star,' on May 19, 2023 via Season of Mist!

Pre-orders are now available
HERE. The album can be pre-saved on various digital platforms HERE.

The album artwork for 'Beyond North Star' was created by M.T. Salminen

The creation process has always been a very fascinating riddle isn’t it? After all, there’s no strict formula. Some spent weeks, months or even years meticulously working on every tiny detail over and over again until it feels perfect while others just have to let it all out, no matter how it all comes out, it just has to. And no, no matter how hard you try, you can’t force it. You just can’t. You need to have that vision, that unstoppable yearning to turn your dreams into reality.

King Aleijster de Satan has long stopped asking himself all those questions. Although he’s only thirty-four years old, the Tampere based Finn is a bullet-proof veteran of the black metal scene: he used to run and sign bands for Saturnal Records. He also ran the Blackvox studio from 2013 to 2020 where he recorded multiple bands. Purely on the musical front, besides being the long-time standing frontman of Saturnian Mist he also because various experiences, in Arvet among others. But with the industrial rumblings of King Satan, he’s learnt to expand his mind and look over all those useless fences to see what lied beyond. In the end, it’s all about being free both as an individual and as an artist, to go where your instincts and muse take you, no matter what.

And nothing encapsulates more this quest for freedom than HENGET. As a matter of fact, it lies at the very center of it as most of the music AND lyrics were on purpose improvised on the spot. Ever tried to capture lightning in a bottle? King Aleijster de Satan and his comrade Jesse Heikkinen just did with HENGET first album, Beyond North Star, Heikkinen having proved to be quite a versatile artist since dabbling with ‘progressive esoteric folk’ with Iterum Nata, the equally ‘out there’ Hexvessel or The Abbey.

“When I got in the studio to do the vocals, I only had various notes, sometimes hastily written on a small piece of paper and more or less some kind of loose structures to go with it. Most of them I gathered in between 2016 and 2019 after, let’s say experimenting quite a bit. I admit natural psychedelics and other shamanic methods influenced me a lot to reach another level of consciousness, besides my long interest towards the occult and mysticism. Those weren’t meant to get lost into but instead to be used as mere tools to help me opening new doors in my brain, a bit like a shaman would do when engaged in a ritual to reach a trance like of state. That’s also why I booked a two weeks session just for the vocals: I needed that amount of space to really dive in my subconscious. Overall, that was one of most intense recording experience I ever had but I wouldn’t recommend it to everyone because the toll you have to pay once it’s done is pretty heavy.”

Originally, the pair planned to unite in Saturnian Mist but then, Jesse “had to move to another city and it made things too complicated. But we still wanted to work together as he is probably the best songwriter I know. And since I had this idea for this other thing where I knew I wanted to push the limits and go over the edge in terms of songwriting, I needed somebody of his calibre.” “Indeed, Aleijster approached during summer 2021” confirms the multi-instrumentist. “He had a quite clear vision of what kind of concept he wanted to do lyrically speaking for a long time. It did coincide with my own desire to express something personal yet aggressively, an urge I hadn’t felt in a long time. Based on his background, we agreed this should happen within some kind of black metal frame but without still paying attention to much conventions or rules. I was given free rein to do whatever I felt like and I quickly realized I wanted it to be quite intuitive while making sure the music would be as crazy as possible, like some typhoon swallowing everything in its path… So using mostly vintage instrumentation, I recorded most of the music by myself in my own studio, pushing the button ‘rec’ and then totally letting myself go, following Aleijster ‘automatic writing’ method and ending up with some pretty interesting result.”

There’s something strangely seductive about the eight tracks included on Beyond North Star, as if the listeners were invited to enter some alternative and colourful place, dangerous and scary yet always otherworldly. Some may argue that all along you will most likely cross there the ghosts of Dødheimsgård, Arcturus or King Crimson. But Aleijster remains pretty reluctant to label it but “if we really need to, I guess it’s avant-garde black metal.” After hesitating with Henkivallat (‘spiritual realms’), which they ended up using as a songtitle instead, the name HENGET was chosen because of its double meaning as it can be translated both as ‘life’ but also ‘spirits’, “a perfect name for an occult band”. Beyond North Star is a “loose” concept album, like one long journey, even if the songs are not exactly tied up together. Something the 70’s prog rock loving Jesse is quite happy with while its title is a reference to that actual spiritual journey the listeners are about to undertake. One they will never forget.

Three ambitious music videos in total have been shot already to promote the album and HENGET has gathered a full line-up in order to start playing live. Saturnian Mist drummer Ville Rissanen was the first one to be asked, soon followed by Lasse Launimaa, a teenage years friend of Jesse who also plays in cult symphonic black metal band Thyrane on keyboards.

Nita Strauss Announces New Album "The Call of the Void" + Shares "The Golden Trail" Feat. Anders Friden of In Flames⚡

GUITARIST NITA STRAUSS ANNOUNCES NEW ALBUM THE CALL OF THE VOID OUT JULY 7 VIA SUMERIAN RECORDS

SHARES NEW SINGLE "THE GOLDEN TRAIL" FEAT. ANDERS FRIDÉN —
LISTEN

TOURING WITH ALICE COOPER THROUGH SEPTEMBER

HEADLINE TOUR SET FOR JUNE

Fresh off the news that she would be returning to her role as guitarist with the legendary Alice Cooper, Los Angeles-born guitar hero and musical force of nature Nita Strauss has just announced her brand new album The Call of the The Void, out July 7 via Sumerian Records. Pre-order it
here.

Regarding the album's title, Strauss shares, "Have you ever been at the top of a high building and had the fleeting thought, '… I could jump right now?'

"This feeling is sometimes called 'The Call of the Void,' also known as 'high place phenomenon.' It's not a suicidal impulse, rather the exact opposite — a subconscious decision to live your life, to step back from the ledge, and take control. As researcher April Smith aptly put it: 'An urge to jump affirms the urge to live.'

"I wanted the follow up to Controlled Chaos to be exciting, new, and fresh, to take listeners to a new place and take myself somewhere new as an artist too. We have some amazing collaborations on this album with incredible musicians, as well as the instrumental guitar music that first inspired me to play.

"Some pieces of music come into the world gracefully and easily. This album is not one of them! The Call of the Void was born kicking and screaming, a labor of love for sure, but also of blood, sweat and plenty of tears. I couldn’t be more proud of the end result. Making this album helped me learn and grow so much as a musician and songwriter and I'm excited to finally unleash it on the world."

"When I was first learning how to play guitar, In Flames were my Beatles; my first favorite band," Strauss shares. "Anders' iconic vocal style is burned into my mind! To write a song like this and have him sing on it, as a kid who grew up with In Flames posters on my walls, is an absolute dream come true."

"“It was a lot of fun to collaborate with Nita on 'The Golden Trail,'" says Fridén. "She's an amazing guitar player and I can hear the history of metal flowing through her fingers!"

In Flames' fourteenth studio album Foregone is out now. It’s an unequivocal masterpiece from a band whose artistry and influence on modern metal is undeniable Foregone combines the greatest aggressive, metallic, and melodic strengths of the band's landmark records with the seasoned song writing of their contemporary era. AlienBlaze Releases New Single "Lovesick" featuring OmenXIII via Sumerian Records

AlienBlaze has unveiled her new single Lovesick featuring fellow Sumerian Records artist OmenXIII, seeing AlienBlaze enter a new hybrid world of rock meets rap. Lovesick is produced by Kid Brunswick and mixed by Dan Lancaster (Muse, Bring Me The Horizon). Listen to the track at the link here.

AlienBlaze is a 20-year-old mad-as-hell singer/songwriter and lead guitarist crafting genre-fluid anthems resulting in a fascinating hybrid of everything from dark alternative pop, grunge and emo, to rock and electronic elements. Her dominating presence emits an angsty appeal, encouraging a sense of self-empowerment to her young audience.

In her school years, AlienBlaze spent most of her time at home through sickness, so spent hours and hours learning the electric guitar on her mum’s old guitar, wanting to play like her guitar inspirations Jerry Cantrell of Alice In Chains and Slash. Blaze’s sense of alienation from her peers is what inspired her to add the ‘alien’ part to her name as an artist.

Her latest single Lovesick features fellow Sumerian Records artist OmenXIII, seeing AlienBlaze enter a new hybrid world of rock meets rap. The artist shares, “I always wanted Lovesick to be a tortured love song, but it actually works even better as a duet. I just love what OmenXIII has done with his verse and I think our two styles actually give the song an extra intensity.”

Produced by Kid Brunswick and mixed by Dan Lancaster (Muse, Bring Me The Horizon), Lovesick takes inspiration from a multitude of artists such as Bring Me The Horizon, Linkin Park and The Cure, as well as EDM/ rap elements from Lil Peep and the lyrical style of Billie Eilish. Featuring raucous guitars, colliding percussion and a throbbing bass line, OmenXIII’s verse adds an interesting twist to the track, allowing things to cool off before AlienBlaze re-enters with her bold and brazen energy.

Covering topics such as the everyday experiences of a young adult, to more poetic themes including pathetic fallacy and imagery from nature, AlienBlaze delivers her message in a way that allows listeners from all walks of life to interpret it.

Since only uploading her first song to Spotify in 2019, she has received attention from numerous Spotify editorial playlists, garnering hundreds of thousands of plays. She has also had praise from the likes of Oli Sykes (Bring Me The Horizon), Rou Reynolds (Enter Shikari), Grimes, and Ellie Roswell (Wolf Alice), as well as from publications including Wonderland Magazine, NOTION and Kerrang!. AlienBlaze will be performing at The Great Escape on Friday 12th May.

HOT MILK Release Brand New Single & Video "PARTY ON MY DEATHBED"

Hot Milk have announced yet another massive single from their debut album 'A CALL TO THE VOID' set for release 25th August 2023 on Music For Nations. Pre-order the album HERE. Highlighting today's announcement is the release of lead single "PARTY ON MY DEATHBED" and it's official music video.

The track, ‘PARTY ON MY DEATHBED’ premiered on Clara Amfo's BBC Radio 1 show this evening. The track fizzes with life but is ultimately powered by a sense of reckless abandon. Shifting upwards through sonic gears to deliver an open-armed and iconoclastic party anthem that pays no attention to the idea of tomorrow, residing firmly and resolutely in the here and now.

A track forged in the fiery debauchery of backstage areas and late-night bars it combines the band’s love for electronic beats, synthesised melodies and hard riffs, resulting in a sound that echoes The Prodigy as much as it does Paramore.

Co-vocalist Han Mee deviously welcomes “lovers of the night, haters of the daylight, come one come all” to unite behind the track that firmly encourages freak flags to fly freely, and invites all listeners to adopt a norm of non-compliance, a dedication to deeds of defiance and to be comfortable in the unconventional. Commenting further on the track, Han Mee shares:

"We can’t be helped, we just wanna squeeze out every morsel of this life and being a bit of a wreckhead has come hand in hand with the pursuit of fun. Can’t be stopped, don’t wanna be stopped, we’re sorry but we’re not, maybe we’re just lost. Who cares, life’s about connection n getting off the fuckin internet n losing ur mind on the streets of Manny and finding it again on your way home.”

For some, it might feel like a long time coming but Hot Milk always knew that when the time came to make their debut album, they had to be ready for it. It will be their loudest statement yet of who they are and what they stand for, an opportunity to show the world what they are made of.

Tracks on the debut album walk on a tightrope between the humorous and the serious, brimming with what might be called positive nihilism. They’re not so much finding the light in the dark as they are laughing because if they don’t, they’ll cry.

The first single ‘HORROR SHOW’, boisterously ushered in a new era of Hot Milk, one that is bolder, brasher, and more impactful than ever before. Premiering on Radio 1’s FUTURE ARTIST show Jack Saunders commented that “The odds are pitted against this band, it’s not often a traditional emo breaks through, but Hot Milk have fought the whole entire way to make their mark, find their way into your top tens, become a favourite for you, and Horror Show’s the best yet.”

The band have blossomed over the course of three self-produced EPs, this constant stream of releases has meant that Hot Milkwere never away from the spotlight – or the stages they call home. Their rise kept accelerating, taking them to stadium support slots with Foo Fighters, the main stages of some of the best festivals Globally, an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel in the US to tours with bands like Pale Waves and their own headline sold-out shows to over 50 million streams of the EPs alone. Crucially, however, they were giving themselves space to find themselves as artists.

The band recorded the album between Manchester, Los Angeles and Stockholm with the bands very own Jim Shaw at the Producing helm for the majority of the record, much like all previous releases. An element that has become so important to the band and allowing them to control just exactly what they want to be as artists.

A CALL TO THE VOID is the English translation of the French phrase l’appel du vide, referring to the brain’s trick of spotting opportunities to die. It’s the eerie jolt that is felt when you stand waiting for a train and the thought that you could jump, and end your life in a heartbeat, intrudes in your head. It’s that brief moment of being reminded of the fragility of existence.

The more alt-pop inspired ‘Bloodstream’, meanwhile, was made for creating moments on the big stages the band have always aspired to reach.  The most important thing for the band, however, is that these songs are written to scream from the speakers of the stage, and for their refrains to be screamed back at them by the adoring, tight-knit community they’ve built. “Live is where I’m happiest, live is where it’s home,” says Han. “We wrote songs with the intention of people going off, making you feel good, opening the pit up, letting go, crying, getting on your mate’s shoulders.  It’s church for us.”

With a healthy dose of charm and twang, Hereford, Texas native Randall King adds a boot stompin’ honky tonk tune to his set list with his new “When My Baby’s In Boots,” available everywhere now on Warner Music Nashville. Detailing the irresistible toe-tapping power a pair of Luccheses have on his girl, King tees up a song best enjoyed under the neon lights on a night out on the town. Listen HERE.

“Here it is y’all! Ain’t no tellin what happens, “When my baby’s in boots!" shares King.

“When My Baby’s In Boots” is a continuation of King’s neon era, ushered in by his latest release “Green Eyes Blue” and viral fan favorite “You In A Honky Tonk,” the latter of which was featured on his major label debut album Shot Glass. Paying homage to the influencers of his neotraditional sound, the crooning “Green Eyes Blue” landed critical appraise, with Billboard stating “it’s the honeyed, distinctive timbre of his voice and the vitality in his songs that hoist his staunchly traditional sound above the plethora of recently released, ‘90s country-tinged songs.”

Set to perform on May 9 as part of the Academy of Country Music’s “ACM Country Kickoff At The Star” in Frisco, Texas preceding the 58th ACM Awards on Thursday, May 11 on Amazon Prime, King recently announced he will continue his international trek this fall with nine European tour dates. Already known for his road warrior diet of over 150 dates each year touring across the United States, the hustling King recently announced the continuation of his trek into the winter as direct support on select dates of Jon Pardi’s Mr. Saturday Night World Tour.

About Randall King:
One of country’s new crop of modern traditionalists, Warner Music Nashville artist Randall King grew up on the endless plains of West Texas – and his sound is steeped in their timeless beauty with a mix of grit and grace. He grew up singing in the back of a ‘93 Chevy Suburban, mimicking the pure-country vocals of stars like Keith Whitley, George Strait, Alan Jackson and John Anderson and over the years became drawn to the electrifying energy of modern stars like Eric Church, Dierks Bentley and Jason Aldean. After years of hustling and a road-warrior’s diet of 150 shows each year, King produced and released the defiant 2016 EP, Another Bullet, then followed up with a 2018 self-titled album. Now, King is bringing an organic, timeless sound to country’s mainstream with his major label debut album Shot Glass. The 11-song collection, seven of which were co-written by King, centers around a night out at a bar, with each track representing a different point of view of those in the room. The album was named to Whiskey Riff’s Top 40 Country Albums of 2022 and Billboard’s All Genre 50 Best Albums of 2022 (So Far), making him the only male country artist to make the list. With over 200+ million career streams to his name, the 2023 Music Mayhem Magazine and 2022 Pandora and Country Now Country Artist to Watch is looking to the anywhere-and-everywhere future with music that captures the essence of a Western poet who’s never been afraid to be himself.

The Intemperate Sons Release New Single "Game of Keep Away" via FRAME|WORK

Indie rock band The Intemperate Sons released the title track from their highly anticipated new album Game of Keep Away that will be released to all major platforms via FRAME|WORK in the fall of 2023. The band is in the early stages of planning a fall run of shows on the west coast.

The boys in The Intemperate Sons traveled to CA to record this track at MAPS Studio at the direction of Amir Derakh (Julien-K, Orgy, Dead by Sunrise) and Ryan Shuck (Julien-K, Adema, Orgy, Dead by Sunrise). This is the first time, and definitely not the last, having Amir and Ryan at the producer helm and was an amazing collaborative experience. Amir joined Jake and Max on guitar to contribute to the track as well.

The Intemperate Sons shot a video to support the release at Prophecy Film Studiothat will be released on May 12th, 2023.

“Game of Keep Away” is the story of the struggle to dig out of hole created by one’s own destructive behavior. The Intemperate Sons release all their music through the Frame|Work record label at the direction of Amir Derakh, Ryan Shuck, and Denny Sanders at The Label Group.

The Intemperate Sons emerged onto the rock scene in the summer of 2019 in Dallas, TX, to bring their distinct sound to the genre. A deep love for music brought family members Keith Watson (drums), Jake Watson (guitars) and Max Watson (vocals, guitars, keys) together along with close friend Mark Marks, who provides the groove on bass to unite everything together.

Keith is well acquainted with entertaining massive crowds of concert goers and has played with many successful bands in Dallas, such as Gun Hill, Natural Born Thrillers and Agents of Solace, on top of opening for Lynch Mob, Joe Lynn Turnerand Sponge. He is the primary lyricist for the band and has written the music for some of their most successful songs, including “Dust to Dust,” “The Color Within,”and “Unrealized.”

Multi-talented and gifted with the ability to play various instruments, Max is also the lead vocalist of the group. Along with being musically dexterous, he has also collaborated with Keith to write lyrics on the released songs “Going Crazy” and “Way Back When.” In the studio, Max usually surmounts expectations and goes above and beyond to prepare prior to a session with his own vocal harmonies.

Jake is the song architect of the Sons and extremely instrumental in the crafting of the music. His inventive ways of bringing lyrics to life in clever ways are unprecedented and fascinating to see in the studio setting. He is a prolific writer of music as well and is credited with helping create the songs “What’s Done is Done,” “Remission,” “Way Back When” and “Wading in the Gray.” Both Max and he play lead guitar on many of the songs as well. The other members of the band fondly refer to him as the “art director” since he enjoys taking charge in those areas for the group.

Prolific and unifying, Mark is an accomplished bass player and well known in Dallas. He was in the regionally successful band, Haggard, and had opened for Sebastian Bach of Skid Row. His input in song writing has been invaluable to the process of creating captivating melodies.

Despite the pandemic putting a pause on many major events, The Intemperate Sons lived up to their name and let nothing hold them back from making music. Constantly hard at work in the studio, they have collaborated with Amir Derakh (Julien-K, Dead by Sunrise, Orgy, Rough Cutt) and Ryan Shuck (Julien-K, Adema, Dead by Sunrise, Orgy). Both have lent their musical talents to various songs and ultimately have brought the Sons on to their label, Frame|Work. This led the band to also recently join the management roster at The Label Group. Ryan worked with Amir to produce the band’s upcoming track, “Game of Keep Away,” and has had a huge impact on the group. He’s been especially influential on Max’s vocal melodies and delivery. Amir also plays guitar on this latest ballad and has been mixing all of the band’s music as well as performing on multiple songs.

Another notable collaboration has been with Tony Franklin (The Firm, Roy Harper, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Whitesnake), primarily on the first album, The Color Within. He has been a valuable friend of the band and has played bass on some of their best tracks from that album, including “Running Man,” “Dust to Dust” and “The Color Within.”

The Intemperate Sons’ take on alternative rock is a dark and powerful concoction of hard rock mixed with folk and grunge concepts. The band has earned a serious reputation for writing and performing tracks that scratch deep into the backbone of the human experience. There is no shortage of darkness in their writing style, which has a retro vibe with many guitar-driven tracks stacked on top of a groovy rhythm section. The heavier style fits perfectly with the two and three-part vocal harmonies that are a huge part of their overall sound. It has been said that musicians that are related form unique sounds and communicate at a frequency only they can understand. This frequency has become engrained in their songwriting, arrangements, guitar melodies and vocal harmonies. The band has been compared to Alice in Chains, Stone Temple Pilots and even R.E.M.

After a successful show at The Viper Room in Hollywood, CA, the band plans to do some regional shows in Texas and then head out West this year as well.

The Intemperate Sons are:

Max Watson (vocals, backing vocals, guitars, keys, bass)

Jake Watson (guitars, bass and backing vocals)

Keith Watson (drums, backing vocals)

Mark Marks (bass)

Dalton Dover Pays Tribute Ahead of Mother's Day with "I Wouldn't Be Here"

On the heels of his first single via UMG Nashville/Mercury Records “Giving Up On That” earning the title of most-added the week of its debut at Country radio, Dalton Dover releases “I Wouldn’t Be Here,” paying tribute his momma ahead of Mother’s Day. Dover’s Instagram followers got a preview of the song when he shared his mom’s reaction to hearing it for the first time. “I Wouldn’t Be Here” is streaming everywhere now.

“I wrote ‘I Wouldn’t Be Here’ for one of the most important people in my life, my momma,” shares Dover. “She’s my best friend, the greatest Mimi to my babies and the wisest woman I’ve ever met. I’m so grateful that I get to call her mom.”

Written by Dover with Russell Sutton and Dan Isabell, “I Wouldn’t Be Here” touches on the highs and lows of growing up and the saving grace of Dover’s mother, as he speaks to her directly throughout the song:

Every little league game, every middle school play
Every time I scraped my knee
Every double shift, every penny pinched
Was for my brother and sister and me
My first song came out all wrong, but you told me it was good
I’m standing now to a sold out crowd just like you said I would

Every time I hit rock bottom
You picked me right back up
When I felt like I was nothing
You said son you’re more than enough
I’m the man I am today because you cared
I wouldn’t be here if you hadn’t been there

About Dalton Dover
Lauded by MusicRow as a “master country talent,” Dalton Dover’s current single “Giving Up On That” via UMG Nashville/Mercury Records was the most-added track at Country Radio upon its debut with 60 first week adds and garnered over 1 million streams in the first two weeks of its release. His latest release “I Wouldn’t Be Here” is available everywhere now. Named a Pandora 2023 Artist to Watch, an Amazon Music 2023 Breakthrough Artist to Watch: Country Class and a member of CMT’s LISTEN UP 2023 Class, he made his international debut at C2C: Country to Country Festival’s CMA Songwriters Series before joining Chase Rice on the Way Down Yonder Tour. This summer, the Georgia native will perform at the Nissan Stadium Platform and Chevy Vibes stages at CMA Fest, along with opening for Luke Combs at his Gillette Stadium stop in July. Dover first started singing at church as a kid, winning his fifth-grade school talent show performing Justin Bieber’s “Baby.” In that moment Dover’s love of performing was born. By the age of 16 he had picked up a guitar and started teaching himself to play, yet it was his grandfather who turned him on to country music and artists such as Keith Whitley, Rhett Akins, Joe Diffie and Steve Wariner. Performances at local bars soon followed along with sharing covers of some of his favorite songs on TikTok. It was there he caught the ear of producer Matt McV and A&R veteran and founder of Droptine, Jim Catino, who quickly signed Dover. His debut track “You Got a Small Town,” produced by McV, quickly garnered critical acclaim from Billboard, MusicRow, Country Now and Wide Open Country. With his debut and his follow-up “Baby I Am” earning notable playlisting, Dover was named a Spotify Hot Country 2022 Artist to Watch along with a spotlight as Billboard’s February Country Rookie of the Month and a nod for MusicRow’s 2022 Discovery Artist of the Year. After opening for Luke Comb’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium show in Atlanta, Ga., Dover set out on a seven-date run of his own headlining shows, performing across multiple locations of Blake Shelton’s Ole Red, followed by Priscilla Block’s Welcome To The Block Party and his debut at the Grand Ole Opry. - Mike Z, 96.7 KCAL Rocks!

"Earshot’s 'Unraveling' hits deep on the emotions of what most of us are going through in a time of social unrest and division. Will Martin delivers a hit that is reminiscent of “Get Away”, their highest charting song on the Rock 30 and debut single released in 2002. I’ll definitely be playing this song."

- LA Lloyd, LA Lloyd's Rock 30 Countdown

"With the New Single "Unravelling", Earshot have delivered to the fans a single that will bring them back twenty years by delivering that hard rock and edge that made us fall in love with the band".

"'Unraveling' is a monster track that boasts intense vocals, ruthless riffs and a voracious groove. Earshot has once again solidified their place in today's top music hierarchy."

- Ralph Beauchamp, Editor of AMP myampmusic.co

"This tune has the true roller coaster effect that you want from an incredible song. The intro and verse build and build until Wil kicks in with "IIIIIII'm Unravelling!" and then the guitar chord changes that happen in the chorus give me absolute goosebumps!. This song has to be on heavy rotation on SiriusXM Turbo and Octane now!"

- Don Thatcher, Host of “The Don’s Hit List” and "Deans Of Nashville"

"Earshot's new song "Unraveling" is not only edgy and catchy, but once you hear it, you can't get it out of your head. Wil Martin continues to use his unique flow of lyrics to keep the song rocking from beginning to end."

- Sebastian Cosme, Podcast Host at The Loud Spot with Sebastian

"'Unraveling' unravels feel good music with a killer drum beat to it. This song could definitely be one that sticks with you for a lifetime. It’s just one of those type of songs."

- Dean K. Piper, The Pipeman

“Earshot returns with “Unraveling”, a blazing new song reflecting the angst of modern society that’s as relatable as it is catchy”

_ Bobby Caughron, Senior Editor/Head Writer/Owner of XS ROCK

Earshot released their new single "Unraveling" to all major platforms! The single was produced by Wil Martin & Aaron Fink, mixed and mastered by Wil Martin. The single follows on the heels of their well received song "You + I" that released in 2022.

"This song you’re either going to LOVE it or HATE it. It’s a ride. It keeps you on your toes the whole way through. The guitar work, the lyrics, and melody are so visceral and relatable. And then comes the chorus….it just hits you right in the face," says Wil Martin.

In a sea of melodic clones struggling to break through the surface, Earshot has always had the innate ability to transcend the rigid barrier of genre-defining music with a singular sound that can only be described as their own.

Their signature, driving, hard rock beats coupled with hook-laden harmonies are matched only by their unbridled creativity and willingness to experiment with musical textures and themes – elements that had captivated fans’ attention in the band’s early days and continue to do so now 20 years later.

Formed in 1999 – the genesis of lead vocalists, Wil Martin, with then members (Bassist) Guy Couturier, (Drummer) Dieter Hartman and (Guitarist) Scott Kohler– the Los Angeles-based band quickly shot to success after signing with Warner Bros. Records in 2002. They released their debut album LETTING GO (produced by David Kahne and mixed by Andy Wallace).

Upon its release, the band quickly found themselves on the road touring constantly with such notable rock acts such as Kid Rock, Staind, Shinedown, Hooabstank and Stone Temple Pilotsto support the record.

This national exposure, combined with an aggressive radio campaign, pushed their debut single “Get Away” to #4 on the U.S. Active Rock Radio Charts where it stayed in the Top 100 for over 64 weeks. At the same time, Earshot’s hit song “Headstrong” was featured on The Queen of The Damned soundtrack alongside other artists such as Disturbed, Deftones and Marilyn Manson, further cementing their place among rock’s elite.

However, it wasn’t until the band’s sophomore album TWO (produced by Johnny K. and mixed by Rich Costey), released by Warner Bros. Records in 2004, that they would hit mainstream success with their single “Wait.” It not only reached #9 on U.S. Active Rock Radio but was also featured on the Madden NFL 2005 and MX vs. ATV Unleashed video game soundtracks.

After the success of their first two albums, Earshot found themselves at a crossroads with Warner Bros. Records and eventually parted ways in 2005. This led to a brief break for the band before inking a deal with Indegoot/Fontana/Universal Recordings in 2007 to release their 3rd album THE SILVER LINING (produced by Brian Garcia and Wil Martin; mixed by Mike Watts) yielding their fifth-charting radio single “MisSunderstood.”

With three chart-topping albums under their belts and a rigorous seven years of touring and recording, Earshot took a hiatus after the release of THE SILVER LINING. Yet after a nearly decade-long break they emerged producing their long-awaited fourth studio recording AFTERMATH (produced by Wil Martin and mixed by Sam Hughes), a five-song EP featuring an intimate, re-recorded acoustic performance of “Fall Apart,” previously released on the band’s second and most beloved album TWO, as well as the release of the album’s first single "Now That It's Over."

Through the epic highs and lows of the music industry as well as life in general, Earshot once again reactivated in 2019 with four new members: Aaron Fink, the former lead guitarist for Platinum-selling Breaking Benjamin, bassist John Novak from the alternative rock band Down To Six, drummer Mike Sylvia and guitarist Andy Stafford.

Regardless of the trends, trials and tribulations, Earshot has always remained true to themselves and continue to produce music that their fans can relate to on a deeper level, beginning with their remake of Alanis Morrisette’s “Uninvited” and their first single of 2021, “Been A Long Time”which was the #2 MOST ADDED on the Billboard (BDS) Mainstream Rock Indicator chart, reaching the Top 20 Billboard Mainstream and Active Rock Charts.

Earshot is:
Wil Martin - vocals / guitar
Aaron Fink - guitars
Andy Stafford - guitars
John Novak - bass
Michael Sylvia - drums

The track is the final song to be released from the deluxe edition of their debut albumIX, which is now available on streaming services.

Greg Mackintosh comments "It was not my idea to do this song as a cover,  I wasn’t totally convinced at first. The original, whilst being a great song, seemed a bit frothy and light to me.

When I isolated the vocal line however, I saw the tragedy in it and wanted to take  it down a darker, more dystopian path."

The origins of HOST do not trace back to the 1999 PARADISE LOST album bearing the same name but instead to the West Yorkshire music clubs of the mid-to-late 1980s. WhileHolmes and Mackintosh were already certified heavy metal fanatics (“metal thrashing mad” as Holmes equates), they were equally drawn to the New Wave and Goth music scenes. The pounding rhythms, sublime melodies and undercurrent of darkness drew them in, creating immediate earworms and a desire to delve further.

Mackintosh finally put plans into motion during the pandemic for a venture that would merge his penchant for sound design with the moods and atmosphere of 1980s dance-pop and Goth. The project was originally a solo pursuit until he asked Holmes, his longtime PARADISE LOST songwriting partner, to join. 'HOST' was selected as the name as a tip of the hat to the aforementioned album that found PARADISE LOST in an unprecedented period of experimentation that eschewed their metal roots and also challenged their fanbase in ways like never before.

“We always stood by 'Host' as an album,” says Mackintosh. “This project is not totally connected to that album, but some of the ideas are extrapolated. We’re taking the basic premise and trying it out now. And, really, it was something fun and interesting for us to do. We’ve been doing PARADISE LOST for a long time and got an itch to try something different from where PL is now. I could take PL down this route again. Who knows? It may happen if we live long enough, but I thought, ‘Why not now?’ I had the time to do it.”

NEVARIS and music legend BILL LASWELL present multi-cultural tour of NYC on 'Interference' single ahead of 'Reverberations' LP

Manhattan-based artist Nevaris presents 'Interference', the second single from his debut 'Reverberations' LP, to be released via celebrated boutique label M.O.D. Reloaded.  Having gained the support of Carlos Santana, who calls this album "a work of supreme creativity”, Nevaris earlier shared the lead track 'Dub Sol'.

Created by Nevaris (percussion, keyboards) and bassist-producer Bill Laswell, the current artist lineup also includes DJ Logic, Will Bernard, Peter Apfelbaum, Lockatron and Matt Dickey. Here, the musicians' New York City roots shine through. Bass, percussion, drums and turntables take center stage on this track, with a New York sound that channels the energy and vibrancy of the city.

"'Interference' was inspired by New York City and the energy of growing up there. As musicians mostly from this city, we really channeled that energy. We tracked the initial percussion, bass and drums live in the studio and added everything else on top of that. There was a good energy to the song from the very beginning. It's an almost fully improvised track built in some layers. We wanted to give the rhythm section plenty of room to breathe," says Nevaris.

"If there's a sound I've been searching for in a life of playing music, this is pretty much it. When I got the mix back from Bill, I cranked it so loud. It was a really good feeling. I hope I can share that feeling through the track."

A musician and visual artist, Nevaris is a percussionist, keyboardist, vocalist and composer, who is heavily influenced by Afro-Latin, dub, and funk music. Born and raised on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, he is of European and Mexican descent with multi-generational roots in both NYC and LA's Echo Park neighborhood.

'Reverberations' is the third collaboration between Nevaris, Bill Laswell and this lineup of musicians (with the addition of Matt Dickey), here focusing more on the dub aspects of their sound. This instrumental recording combines dub, funk, afro-latin rhythms, turntablism and extended improvisation.

Prior to recording 'Reverberations', Nevaris recorded and performed with an evolving lineup of musicians under the name Loud Apartment, most notably Bernie Worrell of P-Funk and Talking Heads fame.

"This record builds on the momentum from 'System Breakdown' and 'New Future', which we released in 2020 and 2022 as Loud Apartment. There were dub aspects of those recordings, so Bill Laswell and I decided to create a recording entirely focused on that sound. It was a logical next step and came together in an organic way. We let the music go where it needed to go," says Nevaris.

"It's a dub based project, with breakbeat, funk, ambient, and afro-latin elements. It’s rhythm based music where the pocket is essential. Lockatron is a huge part of that, as, of course, is Bill Laswell, DJ Logic and everyone else involved. Peter Apfelbaum’s horn arrangements are also a core aspect. In my mind, it's a cohesive piece of music that is best listened to as a whole rather than as individual songs. And Bill takes it where it needs to go with the production like no one else really can."

In addition to his work as a musician, Nevaris is a visual and multimedia artist, who has worked on a vast array of creative projects across mediums. He also co-founded Nolej Records, Nolej Studios and the Uncomun Festival.

As of May 3, 'Interference' can be obtained via Bandcamp - either as a single and instant-grat download for anyone ordering the full album. 'Dub Sol' is also available from fine digital music platforms, including Apple Music, Spotify and Bandcamp. The full 'Reverberations' album will be released on May 26.

Formed in the summer of 2019, The Lonely Ones are a four piece, vocal-oriented hard rock band with an ear for melody and a taste for success. The group features Marty McCoy on guitar / vocals, Tommy Johnson on drums, Jymmy Tolland on guitar / vocals and Tru Roberts on bass / vocals. Being no strangers to the hardships of the music industry, The Lonely Ones consist of former members of Bobaflex. Together, they knew what they wanted and knew how to get it; by combining their knowledge and experiences to achieve a common goal. With determined perseverance and an energized drive to triumph, they were ready to release their first two singles independently in March of 2020; with the titles “Eternal Sadness" and "The Lonely One."

A few months after their initial introduction to the world of rock, the band decided to take a major leap of faith and release their re-imagined version of Queen's classic song "Flash." There’s always the risk of scrutiny and criticism when it comes to covering classic songs, especially ones that are still regarded with high praise from the still thriving fan base, but the band was confident their rendition would not only honor the original but also garner renewed attention for the hit theme. Any doubts were squashed when the song and video were met with rave reviews, including those of Brian May from Queen and Sam J. Jones, Flash Gordon himself.

Brian May was quoted as saying, “What a fantastic cover! I didn’t realize they were going to go into The Hero and the whole reprise ... magnificent!"

Sam J Jones adds, "This is one of the best covers I have ever heard and seen. What a gifted group - The Lonely Ones are for every one of us, from the 1980’s to right now!"

Humbled by the response from fans, listeners and legends in the entertainment industry, the band was spurred on in their pursuit to create groundbreaking original music. In September of 2020, The Lonely Ones released another brand new single titled "Real Big Trouble." What started out as a fun and creative session quickly turned out to be one of their most rewarding. This is one of the heaviest songs the band has ever written, but it also gives a look into what sounds inspire them, such as Thin Lizzy and Beartooth.

By February of 2021, the band had signed on with Imagen Records and released another single called “Change the Station.” This release had 9 active rock stations add the single in the first week and they were a feature artist on Spotify's Rock Hard editorial playlist as well as over 100 other playlists in the first week as well.

The next release through Imagen was "Dyin' All Night Long" in June of 2021. A song about an abusive relationship and how often times excuses are made over and over for that person. The lyrics come from the perspective of a victim having had enough of it.

The band released two more singles titled "Gettin' High" (2021) and “The Way Out”(2022) via Imagen Records before ultimately going independent.
The band spent the summer of 2022 getting back to the grind and writing new songs. The Lonely Ones’ latest release "Bedroom Door" in October of 2022, is one of many to be debuted in the year 2023.

The Lonely Ones have played shows with Sevendust, Nonpoint, Fozzy, Royal Bliss, Seven Year Witch, Black Top Mojo, September Mourning and many more.

In addition, the band is endorsed by: Orange Amps, Westone Audio, Pearl Drums, Sabian Cymbals, Evan's Heads, Vater Sticks, Ibanez, Frog Amplification, Tech 21 Amplification, Michael Kelly Guitars, SIT Strings, Rare Buzz Effects and Strüng, which is guitar string jewelry that raises money for music education.

The Lonely Ones are:
Marty McCoy - guitar / vocals
Tommy Johnson - drums
Jymmy Tolland - guitar / vocals
Tru Roberts- bass / vocals

London synthpop stalwart Rodney Cromwell releases 'Winter Palaces Remixes' via Happy Robots

"A magical-realist synthpop collage" ~ Bandcamp Daily

"Rodney Cromwell is one of the world’s leading lights of retro-future synthpop" ~ The Spill Magazine

"Motorik mechanisation within a hypnotic electronic backdrop...Glorious" ~ Electricity Club.co.uk

"Delicious Melodies that are both simple and direct" ~ HI-FI World

"Buoyant" 4/5 ~ Shindig! Magazine

"Glorious pure synthpop... one of the most innovative, enjoyable electronic acts around" ~ XS Noise

Modern London synthpop icon Rodney Cromwell is back with a 4-track EP of crisp and wondrous sound with 'The Winter Palace Remixes'. In addition to the radio edit of 'The Winter Palace' and one original track, this release includes several remixes, featuring the talents of two thrilling electronic acts - Norfolk electro-chanteuse Gemma Cullingford and Brighton-based synthwave act Infra Violet.

With washes of synths, strings, tinkering electronic piano, detached vocals and layered harmonies delivered in Cromwell's lush baritone, 'The Winter Palace' evokes an icy cold soundscape. Where the title track of his previous ‘Memory Box’ album is about losing the power of recall, 'The Winter Palace' is about trying to forget a lost love, but being haunted by them in his memory. Sonically, the song sits between classic new-wave artists like Joy Division or OMD and more contemporary acts like Ladytron and Black Marble.

In the first remix, Gemma Cullingford (formerly of Sink Ya Teeth) injects a unique darker coldwave take on the original, blending experimental electronica, brittle new wave, and noughties electro clash, whereas Infra Violet's remix spins the track into a duet between Cromwell and lead singer Beth Munroe, creating a sweeping cinematic soundscape with layers of reverb, 80’s Simmons drums-sounds and soaring synths from bandmate Toby Campen.

'The Winter Palace Remixes'  https://rodneycromwell.bandcamp.com/album/the-winter-palace

The final original track - ‘Rod, Jane and Freddy’ (named after the performance group from the ‘80s kids show Rainbow) - combines squelchy vintage synths with a rumbling krautrock beat.

Produced at Acme Hall Studios in Brooklyn by producer Rich Bennett (Roman Angelos, The Shaggs, Mahogany, Limoncello, Hologram Teen), ‘The Winter Palace’ was recorded in Cromwell's home studio in Catford, South London. Since debuting with the 'Age of Anxiety' album, Cromwell has been featured in NME, Electronic Sound, Huffington Post, Paste, Shindig!, Louder Than War, The Big Takeover, Magic RPM, Post-Punk.com and Bandcamp Daily. National radio play extends BBC 6 Music in the UK to also include RTE in Ireland, airplay in Tokyo, and RNE3 in Spain, for whom he recorded a live session.

Rodney Cromwell live is a joyful mixed-media extravaganza, incorporating analogue synths, video visuals and live instrumentation, interjected by Rodney’s 'offbeat wit'' (NME). Described 'like a spiritual experience", he has shared the stage with icons such as A Flock of Seagulls, Damo Suzuki, Pram, Death & Vanilla, Rowetta, M!R!M and Steve Davis. In 2022, he recorded a live session for Electronic Sound and supported Blancmange on a number of dates, further cementing his reputation as one of the most exciting live acts on the electronic music scene.

As of April 28, 'The Winter Palace Remixes' EP will be available everywhere digitally, including Spotify, Apple Music and Bandcamp.

The 3 Clubmen - a new project featuring XTC's Andy Partridge, announce their debut single ‘Aviatrix‘

Dazzling pop, seriously good fun, and when you get musicians as outstanding as this they can make the complex layers of voices and instruments seem as simple as a bird taking flight" ~ Joyzine UK

Britain's Lighterthief label has announced an exciting new project. The 3 Clubmen - a new project comprised of Andy Partridge, Jen Olive and Stu Rowe - will release their eponymous debut EP on June 30. The first taste is 'Aviatrix', an avant-pop delight offering a strange, seductive blend of experimental pop, jazz and sci-fi cinema excellence.

The 3 Clubmen is the culmination of a decade of antics from these longtime collaborators, who started writing and recording this material years ago. While each artist has worked with the others in some form since 2008, The 3 Clubmen marks the first time that Stu, Andy and Jen have combined forces as a trio, an inevitable partnership once described as “a three-headed Frankenstein's monster dancing at a neurodivergent singles club”.

"Like an 'action painter' throws colour at a canvas, we tend to throw musical and sound things, knowing that we'll cut through this seemingly insane mess later, to hopefully find some beautiful garden, hiding there," says Andy Partridge.

"I throw paint, Jen throws paint, Stu throws paint...and we walk away. If, when we return, something in there calls to us, we'll move heaven and earth to get it out and let it breath. Using whatever it takes, be it contrary musical ideas, parts in clashing keys incongruous sounds, contradictory words/phrases. Its all clay to us."

Best known as co-founder of XTC, Partridge is known as the “godfather of Britpop". His most recent solo releases include, 'My Failed Songwriting Career, Volumes 1 & 2'. Apart from various XTC re-releases, he also released the 'Planet England' EPwith Robyn Hitchcock, the 'Powers' collection of sound pieces, and the 'Gonwards' album with Peter Blegvad, in addition to writing songs for The Monkees, Miles Kane and others.

Native to Los Angeles, musician-songwriter Jen Olive has a series of albums to her name, in addition to writing and recording for A&M Records and contributing music to various American Film Institute projects. Her latest solo release was 2022's Stu Rowe-produced single 'Two Futures'.

A key player on Swindon’s music scene, Stu Rowe has supported many artists as a guitarist, bassist and producer. Apart from Patridge and Jen Olive, these include Shriekback (Barry Andrews), Paul Weller, Colin Moulding, Future Sound of London (The Amorphous Androgynous), and TC&I.

The Clubmen saga begins in 2006, when Andy and Stu first worked on 'Monstrance'. Riding on a mutual fascination with experimental music production,  a bi-weekly ritual soon emerged, starting at Stu’s Lighterthief Bunker and ending at the local pub, which resulted in sonic explorations and improvised recordings. A series of musical sketches gradually formed, setting the stage for Jen’s later involvement.

With interest reignited during the pandemic after being put on hold and largely forgotten, the trio decided to finish what they’d started all those years ago, resulting in their debut 4-track effort.

"The Clubmen project is something I’ve been messing about with for years - it's the one thing that everyone who hears it says I should finish. It was great fun to make and I think we’ve managed to create something really quite interesting between all three of our musical sensibilities," says Stu Rowe.

Jen Olive adds, "The joy is it… so much humor… the lyrics reflect the spirit of the conversations… the call and response. There’s an ecstatic quality to it. it's thrilling to have people share in that."

Signing to Andy’s label APE HOUSE Records in 2008 after recording her 'Warm Robot' album, Jen contributed lyrics and vocals on 'Up On Hi' and 'My Dream Sea', penned by Rowe and Partridge for Lighterthief's 'Trick Picture' and 'Hard Listening' EPs (released on APE HOUSE).

It would only be in 2010 when the threesome were finally able to work together in person. The chemistry was instant, the room was buzzing and the ideas flowed. Over pints at The Roaring Donkey pub, they dubbed their project “The 3 Clubmen” after the local defence volunteer groups formed during the English Civil War. Clubmen protected themselves from both armies by fighting on their own side - the name seemed to fit.

After returning to the US, Jen released her 'I Say Love' EP (involving collaborations with Andy and Stu individually) and then 'The Breaks' album, a three-year endeavor produced by Stu and released in 2014.

As of April 28, 'Aviatrix' will be released everywhere digitally. 'The 3 Clubmen' debut EP will be released on June 30 and will be available digitally, as well as on CD, exclusively via Burning Shed.
