About SEPTICFLESH
SEPTICFLESH was formed as 'Septic Flesh' in Greece in the early '90s by Spyridon Antoniou (a.k.a. Seth Siro Anton): vocals/bass, Christos Antoniou: guitar and Sotirios Vagenas (a.k.a. Sotiris Anunnaki V.): guitar/ clean vocals. A debut EP was released in 1991, entitled Temple of The Lost Race. Their first full-length album Mystic Places of Dawn was released in 1994, followed by EΣΟΠΤΡΟΝ that was released in 1995. With the release of Ophidian Wheel in 1997, a female soprano vocalist (Natalie Rassoulis) was introduced, as the band moved towards a more symphonic style. A Fallen Temple (1998) continued in the same musical direction. In 1999, Revolution DNA was released, followed by Sumerian Daemons in 2003, both albums produced by Fredrik Nordström (At The Gates, Opeth, In Flames). Although the band's popularity was growing, the band members decided to disband, in order to focus on other personal projects and goals. But that was not the end of the story... After a reunion, the band returned with the album Communion in 2008, again with Fredrik Nordström at the helm of production. From that point onwards, the symphonic element (composed by Christos Antoniou, that has a Master Degree in Concert Music) was fully implemented in the structure of the songs, with the collaboration of Filmharmonic Orchestra of Prague. The Great Mass (2011) followed with Peter Tägtgren (Hypocrisy, Pain) producing, Titan (2014) with Logan Mader (ex-Machine Head) as producer and Codex Omega (2017) which started the group’s collaboration with Jens Bogren that continues to the very day. In 2020, the recording of the epic and fully orchestrated Live in Mexico entitled Infernus Sinfonica MMXIX was released on CD/LP/DVD/Blu-Ray.

Seth Siro Anton | Vocals, Bass
Christos Antoniou | Guitar, Orchestra

Aurora Dream Releases Debut Full-Length Album 'RUBIX' to all major platforms!

Miami-based instrumental prog and math rock project Aurora Dream founded by 26-year-old Venezuelan guitarist Daniel Morales has released their highly anticipated first full-length album titled RUBIX. This album is the follow-up to their latest single and music video "Comfy," which features the well-known Japanese guitarist Ichika Nito.

Prior to the release of "Comfy," Aurora Dream also put out a remixed and remastered version of "Parallel Colors" from 2016, this time featuring Chris Allisonon drums, and also the single "A New Infinite" that features well-known Australian guitarist Plini, along with his bassist Simon Grove.

RUBIX was produced by Randy Slaugh, who provided a lot more dynamics to the record with his modern production techniques and layers that enhanced the listening experience with creative genre fusions. The album was also co-produced by keyboardist and synth player Eric Guenther from "The Contortionist," who teamed up with Randy and added his psychedelic, progressive, and ethereal sounds that added a lot more dimension to the album, creating a truly immersive experience.

Well-known Australian drummer Chris Allison from Plini performed drums on RUBIX, giving the record a lot more energy through his performance. Mangus Steedperformed bass on the album, providing his unique bass lines, riffs, and phrases that complemented Chris' drums amazingly. Simon Grove mixed RUBIX, while well-known Venezuelan engineer Moises D' Bello mastered it.

RUBIX features some of the best guitar players in the modern scene, including Tim Henson (Polyphia), Nick Johnston, Javier Reyes (Animals as Leaders), Sithu Aye, Angel Vivaldi, Ichika Nito, Mark Holcomb (Periphery), Felix Martin, and Josh Martin (Little Tybee). Additionally, this album features a harp section by Gabriela Gutierrez (Hardcore Harp) on the track titled “Same Opposites.”

The album is truly a masterpiece and a monument for instrumental guitar music because it delivers a profoundly unique listening experience that showcases many interesting genre fusions with prog rock and math rock, combined with modern production that adds more personality to the record and makes it stand out from the rest. The features also add a lot to the experience, not only giving each track a different twist that is unique to each player but also creating one of the biggest album guitar crossovers we have seen yet.

The production layers of RUBIX are inspired by many different genres, including pop, psychedelic rock, lo-fi, synthwave, post-rock, emo, and experimental music. Aurora Dream and Daniel Morales continue to innovate and push the boundaries of guitar music with their unique sound that fuses many different styles and creates a very fun experience that showcases Daniel's talent with his guitar tapping, complex riffs, strange time signature changes, and melodic writing that add on to the experience, making it a roller coaster of emotions across the entire record.

This album is available for purchase and streaming on all music platforms.

RUBIX Vinyls and CDs are coming out later this year, along with music tabs.

T-shirts are available for sale here:

Aurora Dream has set up a GoFundMe page where fans can pitch in to help fund their musical project. The ultimate goal is to plan a tour and land gigs at big music events, but they need your help to make it happen. Every little bit counts, let’s make it happen!

“I started writing 'RUBIX' in early 2019 as a way to escape a very long depression that I was struggling with since the end of 2018. This was also around the time I wrote the song 'Doggy' as a memorial to my dog who had passed away due to cancer in early 2019. Playing guitar in my room helped me a lot, just like performing small shows at local venues, open mics, and bars around Miami and Wynwood. I never imagined that something that started as a simple bedroom produced album that was purely meant to be shared with my close friends and family would later turn into something much bigger after connecting with many talented people that shaped my artistic vision and helped me take it to another level through collaborations and other creative efforts," says Daniel.

He adds, "Despite all the collaborations and collective ideas, this record feels very personal to me because it embodies all of the emotions I experienced during some of my saddest and happiest times in the past four years. Just like a Rubik's cube, I was able to reshape my life into something much brighter that gives me purpose, belonging, and true fulfillment that aligns with who I am, not just as an artist, but also as a person. I will always be grateful for all the people who worked on this project, my fans, my friends, family, and all the people that supports my journey as I continue to deliver my vision as an artist through my music projects.”

Aurora Dream is a Miami, Florida-based musical project that was founded by Daniel Morales in 2016, during his final months at university. The project was launched with the release of "Parallel Colors (Demo)," a single that was originally meant to be a personal release. However, due to high demand during live shows, Daniel decided to establish a separate project.

Aurora Dream pushes the boundaries of traditional guitar music with its unique fusions, writing styles, and production techniques. Despite this, the project retains its signature progressive, modern, and ethereal sound. As the driving force behind Aurora Dream, Daniel Morales has grown the project independently with the help of numerous talented individuals in the music industry. The result has exceeded his expectations, and the project has expanded beyond his original vision.

Daniel Morales, also known as “Duniel”, is a Venezuelan-American independent guitarist, entrepreneur, and composer. He is best known as the founder of the instrumental project Aurora Dream, and also releases music under his own name where he explores his creative ideas and continues to expand the boundaries of guitar music. Daniel composes, plays guitar, records, and manages his unique brand of instrumental progressive music, all from his bedroom studio. Born in Mérida, Venezuela, on September 11th, 1996, Daniel is considered to be one of the most successful and influential guitarists from his home country. His inspirations revolve around progressive rock, metal, emo, math rock, pop, and experimental music.

Brazil's BIKE fuse prog rock, post-Tropicalia and psychedelia on 'Filha Do Vento' single

"Cool blend of slightly trippy vibes, sunshine breaking through the haze sonics, drifting ambiance, and some darker, more brooding musical lines to add ballast and edge" ~ Big Takeover Magazine

"Positive, reflective and stimulating... very much to Brazil (and the world) what Tame Impala is to Australia. The light of the sun is here with slight strobes of dark trippiness caught between the trance-like guitar riffs" ~ Amplify Music Magazine

"A blurring of psyche-rock and tropicalia forms a wall of intrigue... We’re drawn in and covered in a duvet of graceful momentum" ~ Sound Read Six

"Warmest invitation through mellow lined, inner exploring vocals and sultry melodic weaving... an animated adventure to bass and drums, a rhythmic liveliness bringing rich energy and movement to the intimation soaked landscape" ~ Ringmaster Review

Brazil-based sonic adventurers BIKE have released their new single ''Filha Do Vento' (translation 'Daughter of the Wind') with its tense progress and syncopated rhythm. This is the second invigorating taster of their new album ‘Arte Bruta’, scheduled for release on May 5 via Quadrado Mágico Records and Before Sunrise Records.

In the past month, the band has played numerous shows at both SXSW and Treefort Music Fest, as well as sharing the lead single 'O Torto Santo'. The ‘Arte Bruta’ album represents the process of self-analysis this psych-rock, post-Tropicalia, noise rock collection has undergone in recent years, resulting in the most daring leap in the group's career.

Formed in 2015 by Julito Cavalcante (guitar and vocals), Diego Xavier (guitar and voice), Daniel Fumega (drums) and João Gouvea (bass), BIKE's trajectory has been one of long journeys - both sonically and geographically.

“We move forward from our sound on previous albums. We managed to mix all the coolest things we had already done with new references and older ones that have not yet appeared on other albums. We also added new elements and handcrafted instruments in the songs. The idea was to sound artistic and raw at the same time,” says Julito Cavalcante.

Turning heads and pleasing fans since launching, BIKE is the only Brazilian band that has released music ('Enigma Do Dente Falso') in 2014) through Columbia Records imprint, 30th Century Records, founded by cult American producer Danger Mouse.

BIKE released their debut album '1943' in 2015, followed by 'Em Busca da Viagem Eterna' (2017), 'Their Shamanic Majesties' Third Request' (2018) and 'Quarto Templo' (2019). These releases have brought them critical acclaim.

To date, BIKE has played more than 400 shows in 16 Brazilian states, the venues ranging from larger stages to underground houses and festivals. They've also shared the stage with The Black Angels and Os Mutantes. The band also did three extensive international tours through France, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Scotland and Wales and has performed at some of Europe's leading music festivals, including Primavera Sound, Nox Orae, MIL Lisbon and The Great Escape.

''Filha Do Vento' and 'O Torto Santo' are out now, available from fine digital platforms, including Spotify and Bandcamp, where the ‘Arte Bruta’ album is also available for pre-order

Jenna Paulette Arrives with Debut Album, "The Girl I Was," Available Now

Hailing from Lewisville, Texas, Jenna Paulette’s roots as a cowgirl were first established as a young girl helping her family tend to their ranch. It’s where she always felt like her truest self, and where the grit that comes from a hard day’s work was born. Now, emerging on the other side of a ten-year-long toxic relationship, Paulette delivers her debut project with that same grit and vulnerability, facing the heartbreak of her past and diving confidently into her future – ultimately returning to the girl she was prior.

On the heels of being named Apple Music’s Country Riser of the Month for March, Paulette arrives with her debut album, The Girl I Was, today. Listen HERE.

The concept for the album, produced by Will Bundy with impressive writer credits including Rhett Akins, Jessie Jo Dillon and Ashley McBryde, surfaced while Paulette was attending a writers’ retreat. She was driving alone, content with her blue heeler as her passenger, enjoying the sunset in the distance, when an image of her eight-year-old self came to mind. She reminisced on the simplicities of life then – a freckle-faced child helping her grandfather on the ranch – dirty, full of purpose and well-loved. She was determined to get back to her.

“The picture of me that I believe God dropped into my head on the day we wrote ‘The Girl I Was’ in late April last year was taken when I was about eight, helping Granddaddy sell my uncle Hick's cattle,” reflects Paulette. “It’s the first time I ever felt like ‘myself.’ Every time I looked at this picture growing up it was a reminder to me of all the things I love about myself. My freckles in the summer sun. Drinking a hot orange can of Gatorade on a truck-bed or fence. Being covered in dirt while tending cattle. Dust in the air and the feeling of being capable—surrounded by FAMILY with the world at my fingertips. I am proud to say, the ‘Girl I Was’ is now the woman I am.”

With influences from country music’s past interwoven throughout, and a cover of country legend Gene Autry’s “Home on the Range” serving as bookends to the project, Paulette reflects on heartbreak and redemption with a delivery that’s reminiscent of her greatest musical heroes – Autry, The Chicks and Miranda Lambert among them.

Kicking off with “Fiddle and a Violin,” the upbeat tune delivers a tongue-in-cheek introspection at two individuals who appear similar, but upon a closer look the differences that were present all along become apparent. Songs “You Ain’t No Cowboy” and “Bless Her Heart” continue to delve into the heartbreak of a relationship gone awry, with “Pretty Ugly” signaling its end (“Roses on the counter are wilted now / Nail holes where I took the pictures down / Right side nightstand looks a little bit dusty / Heartbreak makes pretty ugly”).

In contrast, glimpses of healing and new romance are present with wistful love song “Anywhere the Wind Blows,” and hopeful tune “Sun Keeps Comin’ Back Up,” ultimately leading to the transformative, self-discovery title track, “The Girl I Was” (“I can’t believe I ever thought she wasn’t good enough / I’m getting back to the girl I was”).

It’s a level of honesty that left The Tennessean musing “gripping clarity, emotion and feeling are more readily apparent in her work than ever before,” with Billboard noting she arrives “confident” and “carefree.”

About Jenna Paulette:
A CMT Next Women of Country in 2022 and Apple Music’s Country Riser of the Month for March, singer-songwriter Jenna Paulette — a cowgirl who came of age amid the gritty realities of ranch life — is part of Nashville’s growing wave of female artists who are rewriting the rules and charting their own paths. Her finely calibrated blend of toughness and sensitivity is on full display in tracks like “Country in the Girl” and “Pretty Ugly.” Her most recent single, "Anywhere the Wind Blows," gives a glimpse into Paulette's songwriting abilities and is a whimsical reflection on her mainstream presentation of western living. Paulette settled in Nashville in 2015, where she struck up a mentorship with Ashley Gorley – a veteran songwriter with 50+ No. 1 tunes under his belt – which ultimately led to her publishing deal with Sea Gayle Music in June 2021. Since collaborating with songwriters Will Bundy, Ashley McBryde, Rhett Akins and Jessie Jo Dillion, as well as opening for Mason Ramsey, Parmalee, John Michael Montgomery, Clay Walker and most recently Aaron Watson, Paulette has landed brand partnerships with Justin Boots, Boot Barn, Oak and Eden Whiskey and Ranch Water. Last year, Paulette continued to spotlight her authentic western lifestyle, performing the national anthem at the Professional Bull Riding World Finals; as well as day working on ranches across Texas, securing opening slots and performing in multiple festivals including CMA Fest. With her debut album, The Girl I Was, available now, Paulette continues building her audience as fans get a deeper look into who she is as an artist.

MISCREANCE Announces Re-issue of 'Convergence'

Old school technical death metal revivalists MISCREANCE will be reissuing their debut album, 'Convergence,' via Season of Mist on May 19, 2023! The album was originally self-released by the Italian newcomers in in September 2022. For a taste of what to expect, listen to the single 'Incubo' below.

The band comments: "Beyond the apparent quietness of sleeping, unspeakable horrors and repugnant creatures will mold your fears into your worst 'INCUBO.'
Relieve all the monstrosities buried deep inside your mind, into a frenzied dance of riffs, screams and absurd rhythms from the underworld."

'Convergence' will be re-released on three different colored vinyl as well as CD formats. The record is now available for pre-order HERE while you can stream it across all digital platforms HERE.

Though many have tried, few bands have successfully replicated the mind-bending technical death metal formula that was established during the genre’s advent by the Godfathers of DEATH. That is until Italy’s Miscreance entered the ring in 2022 with its debut full-length, ‘Convergence.’ Unlike tech death contemporaries who are known for speed and extremity, Miscreance artistry lies within its carefully executed precision, underscoring the focused discipline behind the music’s eloquent complexities.

Miscreance is a project reborn from the ashes of Atomic Massacre. As the former band's members decided to change the course of their stylistic direction, they felt it was time for a rebirth, changing the name as well. In 2018, the band released its first demo, 'From Awareness to Creation,' which was originally co-produced by Red Wine Rites records in Switzerland and limited strictly to 100 copies.

Shortly after the demo release, the band ceased their search for a singer upon realizing that drummer Andrea F. was exactly what they were looking for, so they exhumed three songs from the pre-demo era and recorded a split with death metal grind-crushers Vile Apparition (AUS), released in late 2021.

In 2022, Miscreance made its debut with its first full-length, ‘Convergence,’ which took almost five years to complete. The offering quickly garnered the attention of Season of Mist, who formed a union with the emerging band and is now reissuing the full-length for worldwide distribution as the old school tech death revivalists prepare to unleash a sophomore offering onto the masses.

HOST Release Sprawling Ambient Remix Of "Hiding From Tomorrow" By LUSTMORD

Contemporary dark wave project HOST, launched by Nick Holmes and Greg Mackintoshof PARADISE LOST, have released a sprawling ambient remix of 'Hiding From Tomorrow' by LUSTMORD. The remix follows the recent release of the bands debut albumIX.

Greg Mackintosh comments "Lustmord has taken this track from electro goth into a whole new territory. I love it when a remix drifts far and wide from it's source material and he has certainly done that. He has created a sprawling, emotive, cinematic soundscape"

Stream 'Hiding From Tomorrow (Lustmord Remix)' on all platforms now at: https://HOST.bfan.link/HFT-LMR.ema

Purchase IX on various formats now from: https://bfan.link/host-ix.ema

About HOST
The origins of HOST do not trace back to the 1999 PARADISE LOST album bearing the same name but instead to the West Yorkshire music clubs of the mid-to-late 1980s. WhileHolmes and Mackintosh were already certified heavy metal fanatics (“metal thrashing mad” as Holmes equates), they were equally drawn to the New Wave and Goth music scenes. The pounding rhythms, sublime melodies and undercurrent of darkness drew them in, creating immediate earworms and a desire to delve further.

Mackintosh finally put plans into motion during the pandemic for a venture that would merge his penchant for sound design with the moods and atmosphere of 1980s dance-pop and Goth. The project was originally a solo pursuit until he asked Holmes, his longtime PARADISE LOST songwriting partner, to join. 'HOST' was selected as the name as a tip of the hat to the aforementioned album that found PARADISE LOST in an unprecedented period of experimentation that eschewed their metal roots and also challenged their fanbase in ways like never before.

“We always stood by 'Host' as an album,” says Mackintosh. “This project is not totally connected to that album, but some of the ideas are extrapolated. We’re taking the basic premise and trying it out now. And, really, it was something fun and interesting for us to do. We’ve been doing PARADISE LOST for a long time and got an itch to try something different from where PL is now. I could take PL down this route again. Who knows? It may happen if we live long enough, but I thought, ‘Why not now?’ I had the time to do it.”

SASS JORDAN HONORS TAYLOR HAWKINS WITH RELEASE OF "HIGH ROAD EASY" FROM FORTHCOMING ALBUM, LIVE IN NEW YORK NINETY-FOUR.

Sass Jordan's breakthrough album, Racine, was released in 1992 and yielded the Canadian hit singles "Make You a Believer," "I Want to Believe"--both ranked on Billboard magazine's Mainstream Rock chart--"You Don't Have to Remind Me," and "Goin’ Back Again." In 1994, Jordan released Rats, which yielded  her first song on the Billboard Hot 100 with the single "Sun's Gonna Rise," and also featured “High Road Easy.”

Now Jordan has teamed up with Deko Entertainment to take a look back at the Rats tour with the upcoming release of Live in New York Ninety-Four, which was recorded at the South Street Seaport in NYC during that 1994 tour. The band at that time, along with Jordan, consisted of Tony Reyes (bass, vocals), Taylor Hawkins (drums, vocals), Nick Lashley (guitar), and Stevie Salas (guitar). The full album will drop digitally on April 28, to be followed up by a limited-edition vinyl release with preorders going on sale April 15.

The first single off the album is "High Road Easy," which Jordan shares, is a celebration of the early days in the career of Hawkins, future Foo Fighters drummer. Jordan says, "As we hit the milestone that marks one year since Taylor left us, I wanted to do something to honor his memory--a recognition and appreciation for his glorious, big, beautiful energy--which lives on through this recording and in all of our hearts. That’s why we offer this now …. This particular song, ‘High Road Easy,’ was in its infancy in those days--you can really hear it in the way the band attacks and tears it to pieces--rampaging through its whole length like the pack of road dogs that we were…”

Deko Entertainment president, Bruce Pucciarello, comments on the label’s involvement, “Sass is one of my all-time favorites, so I am thrilled we get to share this never released live performance with everyone.  Everything about this record is perfect!"

Droptine Recordings Signs Cody Hibbard to Development Deal

Adair, Oklahoma native Cody Hibbard knows the value of hard work. Growing up on his family’s ranch, he worked from the day he could help shovel ‘til the day he left for the United States Naval Academy. With an injury keeping him from a career in service, he instead rolled up his sleeves to earn a living in pipelining. Working wherever needed, his day-job led to a lot of new cities where the only constant was his guitar and the guarantee of a campground or a bar where the conversation would ultimately turn to the Asian Pacific American performing for his fellow blue-collar crowd.

“People would say ‘Man, you do not sound how you look,’” Hibbard remembers. “My buddies would respond for me: ‘If you can’t believe how country he sounds when he talks, you ought to hear him sing!’ It helps to have that shock factor that grabs people’s attention at first, but it makes this career worthwhile when it goes beyond that, and the ‘anomaly’ can inspire and relate through the music.”

Known in Nashville circles for his expert A&R ear, music veteran Jim Catino of Droptine Music first discovered Hibbard’s music while diving into streaming services on the lookout for new artists to capture his attention. With recent development for Dalton Dover leading to a publishing deal with Droptine and Sony Music Publishing along with a record deal with UMG Nashville, Catino is excited to see Country’s tent expanding to encompass even more prowess.

“I have never been more excited about artist development than I have since I started my new venture, and I’m particularly excited to sign Cody,” shares Catino. “His energy and passionate delivery of a song caught my ear on a first listen of his hit ‘Dying Breed.’ I knew right away he was a perfect fit for Droptine as well as an artist I could help take things to the next level. He’s a seasoned performer and knows a great song.”

Hibbard’s latest release and first on Droptine, “Looking Back Now,” is available on all streaming services.

SINGER/SONGWRITER FAITH MARIE IS ALLOWING HERSELF TO LET GO OF HER DEMONS WITH THE RELEASE OF “MORE THAN I AM”

Singer-Songwriter Faith Marie, has released her single “More Than I Am,” today. Released in collaboration with the label UUin, “More Than I am” is the perfect chapter to close out her debut EP. Written by Faith, “More Than I Am” is about the process of allowing yourself to let go of your inner demons. She elaborates; “up until now, this EP has been about delving into my darkness, whereas this single expresses how it was a struggle for me to let go of my demons because I was worried it was the only thing that made people connect with me. If I lost that, I wasn’t sure who I’d be. I built a whole world on this darkness and I felt like healing was betraying that, but the truth is, I’m so much more than my

darkness as well as my healing. Sometimes we get tunnel vision and forget that no matter what you believe, we are truly a part of this infinite universe and we’re not tied to any sort of emotion or anything for that matter. Remembering that from time to time can really put things into perspective and help to have deep self-compassion.”

The sound of “More Than I Am” was executed to encapsulate the meaning of this song and the existentialism of it. A lot of elements are felt, not heard, and Faith wrote these lyrics with a vision for people to listen and immerse themselves into a full experience. “More Than I Am” intertwines darkness with the bass and synths, alongside brighter elements such as the lead harp. This juxtaposition is meant to convey the feeling of acceptance of pain and confusion, while also giving a glimpse of hope while the song is evolving in that direction. Faith states; The bridge is one of my favorite parts of a song I’ve ever written, because it’s everything I’ve wanted to say to my listeners who experience deep pain and trauma. The music with the choir helps bring a very ethereal element to it that is meant to grab those people's attention and hopefully help them to absorb the message. I really hope that my listeners take this song to heart and listen to it as if I’m saying it to them, because I had every person that’s reached out to me with their similar experiences in mind when I wrote this. You’re more than your pain, you’re more than your experiences and you have so much to offer the world.”

Hailing from Provo, Utah, Faith’s foray into songwriting began at the age of 13, launching a successful YouTube channel that attracted over 121,000 subscribers over the next five years, in addition to over 80 million Spotify and Youtube streams combined. Inspired by the likes of My Chemical Romance, Paramore, and Brockhampton, Faith pushes herself creatively when it comes to genre-bending. In 2015, her love for artists that seamlessly cross genres led her to posting a cover of Bring Me The Horizon's “Drown,” which immediately went viral and is currently sitting at 5M views. “Bring Me The Horizon has always been the most inspiring to me because they don’t care about upholding a genre or appeasing specific types of fans that listen to them, they do what inspires them” Faith states.

The virality of this cover catapulted her into the release of her debut single “Antidote,” which Faith wrote and self-produced. Now, 7 years later, Faith has released multiple singles ranging from the orchestrally adorned “Little Girl” and the electronic-laced “Devil on My Shoulder,” each dealing with themes of struggle, anxiety and hope. Faith is constantly working to perfect her craft of songwriting with each release, and is also currently pursuing a bachelors in audio engineering. She elaborates “I’m on a lifelong mission to master as much of the music creation process as possible.”

Producer and UUin, Inc. label head Amyn Bhai, who has worked with Faith since she was 13 explains, "Faith first wrote the lyrics to the entire song, as she always does, and had some initial production ideas. We then took the songs and built the production out with our friends at Slowave Studios, where she also recorded the vocals. It was later polished and mixed with Steve Phillips, our engineer. On her new EP, people can expect more honesty in song form. The production direction is tailor-made for her, and the writing is 100% how she is feeling in the moment translated into song form. Faith has significantly grown as is natural with time passing."

GHOSTS OF SUNSET RELEASE THEIR SOPHMORE ALBUM, BREATHE, THROUGH DEKO ENTERTAINMENT. FIRST SINGLE, “AFTERTHOUGHT,“ GETS ADDED ON ROCK RADIO

Ghosts of Sunset have returned with our latest fix of melodic hard rock – Breathe. The band’s duo of singer-songwriters John Merchant (former Dutch Henry frontman) and multi-instrumentalist Todd Long (previously with the Verve Pipe) had last drawn attention to themselves in 2020 with their debut EP, Headed West, and 2022 follow-up LP, No Saints in the City.

Ghosts of Sunset not only pays homage to the 1980s hair metal scene they grew up on (Quiet Riot, Ratt, Mötley Crüe, Warrant, Faster Pussycat, GNR, etc.), but for music fans whose tastes run deep, Breathe touches upon post-punk aggression, melodic rock choruses and a quirky Cheap Trick spin on top of it all. From the lead-off track, “Afterthought,” to the straight rocker “Move Along,” and pop rocker “Gettin’ Over You” they cover it all on their latest release.  The album made the Top 100 Amazon list while lead- off track, “Afterthought,” has been getting spins on rock radio.

Hear “Breathe” here: https://ada.lnk.to/GOSbreathe

The writing and recording process for Breathe was a bit unconventional, and at the same time par for the course with 21st century technology. "We did all our recording via file sharing,” says Long. “First, one of us will have an idea, and then we just start sending mp3s back and forth while building the track up. After a basic track was completed, we’d then seek out who we feel might be right to put a guitar solo on it. If they like the track, then we proceed. If they don't, then that's fine too. We just hoped they feel connected enough to the track to want to contribute."

Merchant continues, “The opportunity to make a follow up full-length album was an absolute blessing and a daunting task. Unlike some writers, we’re always hoping our influences are noticeable, but we want them to be surprising and revealing as well. With this set of songs, we wanted to keep the door open for anything that moved us. They tell you where they want to go and we are open to whatever gets them to their destination. These songs take listeners from such sweeping landscapes as an Asian spy adventure, to something as internal and personal as the struggle of loving someone battling addiction. The musical compositions are as important as the lyrics to tell the stories that need to be told.”

Deko Entertainment president, Bruce Pucciarello, states on signing the band, “Todd and John offer up a wonderful collection of new tunes on their new album, Breathe.  Every entry is extremely well written and performed…definitely going to be listening to this one for a long time!"

NYC-based NEVARIS and music legend BILL LASWELL present 'Dub Sol', previewing debut 'Reverberations' LP

”Love this! They've made a work of supreme creativity” ~ Carlos Santana

Touted by Carlos Santana as "a work of supreme creativity”, Manhattan-based artist Nevaris has announced his forthcoming 'Reverberations' LP, to be released this spring via celebrated boutique label M.O.D. Reloaded. Ahead of that, they present the lead track 'Dub Sol'.

Created by Nevaris (percussion, keyboards) and bassist-producer Bill Laswell, the current artist lineup also includes DJ Logic, Will Bernard, Peter Apfelbaum, Lockatron and Matt Dickey.

A musician and visual artist, Nevaris is a percussionist, keyboardist, vocalist and composer, who is heavily influenced by Afro-Latin, dub, and funk music. Born and raised on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, he is of European and Mexican descent with multi-generational roots in both NYC and LA's Echo Park neighborhood.

Prior to recording 'Reverberations', Nevaris recorded and performed with an evolving lineup of musicians under the name Loud Apartment, most notably Bernie Worrell of P-Funk and Talking Heads fame.

'Reverberations' is the third collaboration between Nevaris, Bill Laswell and this lineup of musicians (with the addition of Matt Dickey), here focusing more on the dub aspects of their sound. This instrumental recording combines dub, funk, afro-latin rhythms, turntablism and extended improvisation.

"This record builds on the momentum from 'System Breakdown' and 'New Future', which we released in 2020 and 2022 under the name Loud Apartment. There were dub aspects of those recordings, so Bill Laswell and I decided to create a recording entirely focused on that sound. It was a logical next step and came together in an organic way. We let the music go where it needed to go," says Nevaris.

"It's a dub based project, with breakbeat, funk, ambient, and afro-latin elements. It’s rhythm based music where the pocket is essential. Lockatron is a huge part of that, as, of course, is Bill Laswell, DJ Logic and everyone else involved. Peter Apfelbaum’s horn arrangements are also a core aspect. In my mind, it's a cohesive piece of music that is best listened to as a whole rather than as individual songs. And Bill takes it where it needs to go with the production like no one else really can."

In addition to his work as a musician, Nevaris is a visual and multimedia artist, who has worked on a vast array of creative projects across mediums. He also co-founded Nolej Records, Nolej Studios and the Uncomun Festival.

'Dub Sol' is out now, available from fine digital music platforms, including Spotify and Bandcamp. The full 'Reverberations' album will be released on May 25.

'WATERS RISING' by NAEON TEARDROPS OUT NOW

N∆EON TE∆RDROPS is a new artist alias from Norwegian techno and electronica veteran Per Martinsen, mostly known under his guise MENTAL OVERDRIVE.

Stepping out of his familiar instrumental electronic productions and into vocal-based songwriting, N∆EON TE∆RDROPS explore influences of the synthpop and darkwave of his formative years, while aiming to put these influences into a more contemporary context.

The music of N∆EON TE∆RDROPS was born out of his writing project PYRAMIDS ON THE MOON – a fictional autobiography in three parts where he explores three alternative timelines of his own life, and where each of his three imagined personalities create music under different artist aliases.

N∆EON TE∆RDROPS released the single AMNESIACSin 2021, reaching no 8 in the Deutsche Alternative Charts, followed by SHADOWSISTER in 2022, which reached no 12 in the same chart.

The new single WATERS RISING out now , and takes us on a deep and melancholy melodic ride atop a slow beat suitable for the more soulful and mellow dancefloors.

A full album entitled TESTIMONY is in its final completion, and will be released on June 9th, and N∆EON TE∆RDROPS is now also open for live bookings through Standing Ovation Agency.

The opening line of Voyager’s 2023 Eurovision song "Promise" is somewhat prophetic. As vocalist Danny Estrin belts out the lyric, “Have you ever done anything like this before?” audiences across the globe will realize they haven’t. For the first time ever, a band will represent the country – and not just any band – a band with soaring melodies, masterful riffs, keytar solos, powerhouse rhythms, and enough charisma to take on the world.

Shattering expectations, their resilience and determination has finally paid off. Theirs is a story of passion, perseverance, and patience. The band has been throwing their hat in the ring for the Eurovision Song Contest since Australia announced its participation back in 2015. Eight years later, they have prospered, overcome, and are now victorious. Voyager are a band who take everything in their stride, over the years garnering a strong fanbase near and far, continuing to vie for their Eurovision dream. At last year’s Eurovision – Australia Decides, they took out second place in a nail-biting finish, leading the public vote with their song "Dreamer."

Now, Voyager are about to set sail Merseyside with their song "Promise;" an epic, progressive pop metal track that transports the listener on an emotive story of adventure and redemption. Its stunning music video was captured in the region of Western Australia’s mid-west Kalbarri that boasts the pink ethereal Hutt Lagoon, and Kalbarri National Park, where there are epic gorges and rock formations including Nature’s Window.

Blending New Romantic, ‘80s infused vocals with technical, melodic framework, groovy basslines, bombastic drums, and what is fast becoming the band’s signature instrument, the keytar, it’s sure to lift the roof off Pier Head, Liverpool. They have toured the world many times over, with an influx of fans on their latest European tour won over by their electric live performances.

Voyager will soon embark on their eighth album cycle, but before they can begin their next chapter, they must first take on the epic battle they have long been fighting for.

Ukraine’s Kalush Orchestra won the 2022 Eurovision Song Contest in Turin, Italy, with their song Stefania. This year, the United Kingdom will host the competition on Ukraine’s behalf with the theme United by Music. This is the ninth time the United Kingdom will host Eurovision and the fifth time it’s hosted for other countries due to financial or capacity issues.

SBS’s exclusive coverage will once again be in the capable hands of music buff Myf Warhurst and comedian Joel Creasey. This year marks 40 years of SBS broadcasting the Eurovision Song Contest to all Australians, and the eighth year Australia has participated in the event.

Quiz Show releases debut album with Guided By Voices. Preview 'Almost Famous' and 'Sound of Kissing’

American indie rock trio Quiz Show - involving members of legendary DC alternative rock band Shudder To Think, Guided By Voices and The Dambuilders- present their eponymous debut album, released via Montclair, NJ-based Magic Door Record Label.

Ahead of this, two new powerhouse tracks are streamble - 'Almost Famous'
and 'Sound of Kissing', having earlier previewed the tracks 'Dime A Dozen' and 'What If?'.

This electrifying collection of 12 tracks involves Shudder To Think's Chris Matthews and Jesse Krakow, together with drummer Kevin March (Guided By Voices, The Dambuilders). Earlier, bassist Jesse Krakow had taken over from the original bassist Frank Gibbons and, more recently, Joe Billy has replaced Kevin March, whose drumming features throughout this album.

The 'Quiz Show' LP brings together the singles the band recorded with award-winning producer Ray Ketchem (Guided By Voices, Luna, Versus, Elk City, Gramercy Arms) between 2017 and 2020 at his Magic Door Recording Studio in Montclair, NJ. Ketchem also re-mastered these tracks for this release. Interesting fact: through this process, Matthews discovered that he enjoys singing as much as playing guitar.

Quiz Show songs are full of protest, friendship and frustration. Tapping the energy of punk rock with its loud guitars and driving rhythms, the vocals strive to capture the emotional fervour of punky garage rock. Pushing boundaries with rhythms, arrangements, chord structures and vocals that expand from straight-ahead power to music, they weave together different influences, including classic rock, prog and alternative, to create complex and beautiful in unexpected ways.

"This is our first album! Quiz Show has been making music since 2017 and put out most of the songs on this release as singles between 2017 and 2020. We are releasing them now after remixing and remastering all of the songs to freshen them up and so they can document the origin story of Quiz Show in a single package. This release also brings these songs under the amazing umbrella of the Magic Door record label," says Chris Matthews.

"Quiz Show songs come together when ideas voiced through the guitars are set to rhythms constructed on the bass and drums. Lyrics come after the melodies, which themselves often emerge while Chris is driving around. These songs were created in the in-between spaces of complicated lives. We cherish this work and the feelings it describes. 'Sound of Kissing' was built this way and, like most of our songs, it uses lyrics to reflect a dissatisfaction with the limits on love, money, and time."

As of March 17, the 'Quiz Show' LP is available via Apple Music, Spotify and Bandcamp, where it can be ordered directly from the band.

Hard Southern Rock Band 13South Drop Second Single “High Enuff” to all major platforms via G4L Records

Stream/Download "High Enuff" HERE

Southern Rockers 13South drop second single “High Enuff” from their upcoming self-titled record High Enuff.

“'High Enuff' is a tongue-in-cheek song, a call to arms for youth and the old schoolers still in their prime. Hopefully everyone else is reminded of that first taste of freedom of letting go of the cares of the world before you feel the weight of the world later in life,”said Chris Blevins (co-founder).

Coming from the backwoods of Magnolia, MS, 13South have been described as “If Lynyrd Skynyrd and Junkyard had a baby.” These Hard Southern Rockers have dredged through adversity and the windfalls of life to bring you their upcoming album. The songs are fun, rebellious, and renderings of the lifestyle and mystique of this band.

Junkyard’s Tim Mosher calls “High Enuff,” “A great swinging groove with plenty of attitude into a big hook filled chorus.”

Founded by long time Southern Hard Rockers Chris Blevins (Vocals, Guitar) and Bradley Berryhill (Bass) in 2022, they are signed by G4L Records. With their previous band Voodoo13, they have toured all over the Southeast and then some, and have shared the stage with greats: Junkyard, Jackyl, Better Than Ezra, Warrant, Great White, John Corabi, Candlebox, Trixter, Blacktop Mojo, Them Dirty Roses, The Nixons, Adelitas Way, Wicked Wisdom, Buck Cherry, Faster Pussycat, Naked Beggars, Rehab, Sponge, Alice In Chains, Josh Todd Band, Black Stone Cherry, Ra, and Powerman 5000.
