UNDERGROUND METAL DARLINGS RIKETS RETURN WITH FUTURISTIC NEW SINGLE, "MISERY"

Stream "Misery" HERE

In 2010 the Rikets world collapsed as vocalist Scott Rose's health had suddenly took a turn for the worse, and he eventually "took his ball and went home".

Initially penned in 2014, the concept of "Misery" was born and then left to sit on a hard drive, unmixed and left in oblivion. Fast forward to 2020, losing family and friends during the pandemic, Scott felt it was time to fire up the writing machine and deliver the goods once again.
Going thru the pandemic as a frontliner, Rose had become increasingly pissed off, and one phone call with good friend Nic Bell inspired Rose to team up and get back in the studio along with Ben Schigel (Spider Studios) yet again. They re-recorded "Misery" to its final state, as well as the base skeletons for 5 more songs slated to be released thru Godsize Records.

With "Misery" being the first piece of metal music Scott had written in 10 years, he felt there was more to say and more creative doors needed to be opened.

"'Misery' is a journey into chaos and love lost coupled with a creepy sci-fi tale of how man and machine are fused together in bastard form," says Rose. "The transhumanism agenda is ruining our society"

The lyric "I am just bile, wires and disgust", is not far off from Rose's everyday reality, as he is constantly hooked into IV machines, and has been brought back to life not once, but multiple times now.

On December 2nd 2022, "Misery" will finally see the light of day, as Rikets prepares for more blistering single releases leading up to a fire breathing new E.P., ironically titled Tales from the Construct Alpha.

Join us as Rikets embarks on a new chapter of dark synthwave, fused with Alt-metal, which is right in line with the bands signature sound.. The All American Death Cult once again has re-emerged, with explosive new material set to infect the masses in 2023.

Over 75 years ago in December of 1945, Bluegrass was born on the famed Ryman stage when a young banjo player named Earl Scruggs joined Bill Monroe’s Blue Grass Boys on stage for the first time. As they combined harmonies, upbeat tempos and a new sound referred to as “high lonesome,” the result was a new, energetic sound of country music that lifted crowds from the Ryman’s historic church pews to their feet. “Bluegrass” was born, and the Ryman became forever known as the “Birthplace of Bluegrass.” The venue honors Monroe’s legacy with a life-size statue on site, unveiled in 2017. Learn more about Monroe and his legacy HERE.

After sitting vacant for nearly two decades after the Grand Ole Opry relocated to its new home, the Ryman underwent renovation and reopened its doors on June 3, 1994. That same year, the venue introduced the first of what would become its annual “Bluegrass Nights at the Ryman,” which featured Bill Monroe and Alison Krauss. Now more than 25 years later, the Ryman continues to celebrate bluegrass music’s contribution to music history with artists and fans alike.

Springer Mountain Farms Bluegrass Nights at the Ryman 2022 Lineup:
Thurs, June 22 – Sierra Hull with special guests East Nash Grass
Thurs, June 29– Jerry Douglas & Peter Rowan

German Symphonic Metal ascending stars BEYOND THE BLACK can already look back across a stratospherically successful career, despite their youthful years. Upon release, their 2015 debut album hit like a bomb in their home country. Songs Of Love And Death besieged the German Top 15 for weeks, which led to the band being awarded the Metal Hammer Award for “Best Debut” in 2015. Its successor Lost In Forever (2016) entered the German charts at #4 and paved the way for a huge tour throughout Germany, and across countries like the UK, Russia, and Japan. Since the band’s live debut in 2014, they have played some of the world’s biggest Metal festivals like Wacken Open Air (several times) and have toured as support to heavyweights such as AEROSMITH, KORN, SCORPIONS, SAXON, and WITHIN TEMPTATION. During the campaign for their third record Heart Of the Hurricane (2018), BEYOND THE BLACK landed their first-ever European headline tour, which took them across 10 countries, with most dates selling out.

Before they’d even finished the Heart Of the Hurricane touring cycle, BEYOND THE BLACK had already gone back to the studio to write and record album number four. The result was Horizons, released in June 2020, which entered the German album charts at #3 (CH #6, AT #16, BE #53) marking the band’s most successful album release to date.

Now, two years later, BEYOND THE BLACK are back to launch a new chapter. Following the release of recently highly acclaimed tracks "Reincarnation," "Is There Anybody Out There" and "Winter Is Coming," the band releases their new, fifth studio album – the self-titled Beyond the Black on January 13th, 2023!

Deströyer 666 Drops New Music Video for "Never Surrender"

Black thrash outlaws DESTRÖYER 666 are now sharing the brand new music video for the song "Never Surrender." The song is the title track of the band's brand new offering, which is out today! Watch the video below.

'Never Surrender' is available HERE.

DESTRÖYER 666 continue to do what they are best at: kicking ass and hammering out heavy metal that is slamming straight into the face. No compromise, no sell out, no bullshit!

DESTRÖYER 666 don’t do whiny nostalgia but simply stick to their old school roots, which are reaching straight down into the golden age of metal while allowing themselves to sound fresh and remain relevant. The band originally started out as a solo project of BESTIAL WARLUST guitarist KK in Australia in 1994. As early as with debut album ‘Unchain the Wolves’ (1997), fast-tracked towards international acclaim. The even stronger second full-length, ‘Phoenix Rising’ (2000) had the Australians relocating to Europe to be able to satisfy the soaring demand for touring and festival shows. After a round of line-up changes, third full length ‘Cold Steel… For an Iron Age’ (2002) cemented the band’s excellent reputation. After a hiatus caused among other issues by disenchantment with the business, DESTRÖYER 666 returned with ‘Defiance’ in 2009 and followed up on this success with the rough and gritty ‘Wildfire’ (2016) seven years later that saw them touring and performing at all the relevant metal festivals worldwide on a regular basis again. The Australians filled the gap between the latest albums with the hard-hitting EP, ‘Call of the Wild’ (2018) that comes with a distinct taste of an unrepentantly classic flavour.

The outlaws from down under deliver another pummelling and relentless lesson in aggression with full length number 6(66). ‘Never Surrender’ is a furious assault of black thrash, chainsaw riffs, and warlike drums, offering no moment of reprisal as it rages on for 40 unyielding minutes.

With this offering, DESTRÖYER 666 takes no prisoners!

VRSTY Release "Welcome Home Part 3" EP

VRSTY Release 'Welcome Home Part 3'

Today, December 1

New EP Features Three Brand New Studio Tracks

Band Shares Unofficial Video for "D34D"

New York City-based collective VRSTY (pronounced "Varsity") — Joey Varela [vocals], Javy Dorrejo [bass], Chris Cody [drums], and Paul Gregory [guitar] — are serving up 'Welcome Home Part 3' today, December 1, via Spinefarm.

"Welcome Home Part 3' was super fun to write because all three of the tracks ultimately sound so different from one another," Varela states. "I also worked with other writers, such as Charlotte Sands, for the first time. That experience was sick! It helped to unearth a creative side that I didn't even know I had."

The band also shared an unofficial and intimate performance video for "D34D." Watch it Below and witness Varela's intensity as a performer and the song's melodic heft.

The 3-song EP features a trio of brand new songs. It follows 'Welcome Home Part 2', which is a Spanish-language version of songs from the band's latest album 'Welcome Home', which is out now.

Watch the one-take video for "Dig" (Latin Version) HEREVRSTY decided to craft these re-imagined versions due to Varela's heritage and his love for the sound of Spanish music. Listen HERE.

VRSTY are touring with labelmates Saul though December. Dates are below.

VRSTY ON TOUR:

12/2 — Chesterfield, MI — Diesel Concert Lounge

12/3 — Battle Creek, MI — Music Factory

12/4 — Bloomington, IL — Castle Theater

12/6 — Sioux Falls, SD — Club David

12/7 — Sioux City, IA — The Marquee

12/8 — Fargo, ND — TAK Music Venue

12/10 — Rock Island, IL — Ribco

ABOUT VRSTY:

'Welcome Home' is the band's debut full length for the label and follows last year's breakthrough 'Cloud City' EP, which has accumulated six million streams in less than a year and yielded the head-turning singles "Shameless" and "Massive." The latter was the most played on SiriusXM's Octane for two weeks in a row in late 2020.

VRSTY have perfected their seamless and fearless cross-pollination of metallic grooves and R&B-influenced, after midnight vocal swagger on this 14-track offering. VRSTY aren't just offering their own take on a genre; they have authored a fusion style that is entirely their own.

"'Welcome Home' is an incredibly personal album to me," Varela shares. "I know everybody says that, and hey, maybe they're not lying when they do. I sure as hell am not. It was definitely a task, at first, trying to figure out how to phrase or sing something without getting too personal. But somewhere along the way, I threw that idea out the window and decided to say exactly what I felt. You won't find me trying to sound cool or using any fancy wordplay. It's just me in my rawest form, saying exactly what I've felt or experienced over the years, which is what has made me who I am today. I think if anybody ever wants to get to know me, this record will give you everything you need to know. No secrets. Just me."

TEMPT PUTS THE ROCK BACK IN CHRISTMAS WITH JOYOUS COVER OF BILLY SQUIER CLASSIC “Christmas Is The Time To Say I Love You”

TEMPT PUTS THE ROCK BACK IN CHRISTMAS
WITH JOYOUS COVER OF BILLY SQUIER CLASSIC
“Christmas Is The Time To Say I Love You”
Song is the perfect rock antidote to self described Queen Of Christmas,
Mariah Carey
Video features classic New York City Christmas Scenes

Watch out Mariah Carey! Better Noise Music artist, TEMPT have released an infectious Christmas single covering multi-platinum recording artist Billy Squier’s classic, “Christmas Is The Time To say I Love You.” The band’s performance is uplifting and joyous and truly captures the Christmas spirit. It’s the perfect song for rock fans to celebrate the holidays with. Squier originally wrote the song for an MTV Christmas promo featuring the original VJs.

“We want to put rock and roll back into everyone’s Christmas playlist and this gem of a song does that. It captures the Christmas spirit in a sincere, emotional yet fun way and doing it with the band gave it the right vibe and energy”, said TEMPT lead guitarist Harrison Marcello. “We all get an overdose of Mariah Carey during the holidays but there is no rock song that gives you the emotional lift in the same way unless you’re singing along with Noddy and the Slade guys in the UK. We think that this is the song to change that”

Marcello who is Squier’s godson had heard the song sung during family holiday gatherings and never forgot the feelings of love and connection that the song gave everyone. Squier was blown away when he heard the band’s version, “These TEMPT guys obviously know a good song when they hear one...and they can play it, too! I love their arrangement and recording. Now Christmas is the time to crank up your sound system - or pop in your ear buds - so you can blast this from the roof-tops.”

The video for the song was shot on location in NYC during the 2021 Christmas season. TEMPT lead singer Zach Allen described the process, “This song makes people smile and we wanted to not only celebrate the season but also to celebrate our hometown of NYC and the spirit and energy of the city coming back from COVID. We shot this run and gun style at many iconic locations including, Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree, Fifth Avenue, Hudson Yards, and Radio City Music Hall. You can’t keep New York down and we’re so excited that this is finally going to get released”

The band also had a special guest appearance by Saturday Night Live ace drummer, Shawn Pelton. “We have to give a shout out to Shawn Pelton who played drums on the track, said Marcello, Nicholas, our drummer, was stuck in Canada on a COVID lockdown and we were really lucky to have Shawn sit in with us to do the track. He’s a great player with incredible feel. There is one spot in my solo where he catches a run with a drum fill. It’s just amazing. We’re all really excited to share this release and holiday cheer with our fans all over the world. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year”

The band is planning acoustic holiday sing-along performances at children’s hospitals and programs for underserved children in the New York City area.

Morgan Wallen admittedly treats his tours like an athlete approaching a new season, so when the East Tennessean wrapped his wildly successful 55-city Dangerous Tour on Oct. 8, no one expected he’d come with a line-up of more shows this soon. Yet, the ACM Milestone Award Winner and only country artist nominated for Pollstar’s Major Tour of the Year award revealed this morning he’s not only expanding the size of the venues he’s playing, he’s traveling around the globe to see his fans in 2023!

Morgan Wallen’s One Night At A Time World Tour, produced by Live Nation in North America and Frontier Touring for Australia/New Zealand, kicks off overseas March 15-24 with shows in New Zealand and Australia with HARDY before returning stateside on April 15 at Milwaukee’s American Family Field with HARDY, hitting New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium, Chicago’s Wrigley Field and Boston’s Fenway Park with Parker McCollum, before wrapping on Oct. 7 at Tacoma Dome in Washington. ERNEST and Bailey Zimmerman will support across all dates, U.S. and internationally. Thirty-nine dates in total with 17 stadiums, amphitheaters and arenas to boot. Tickets on sale at MorganWallen.com beginning Friday, Dec. 9.

Wallen named his tour after one-of-three new songs dropping tonight at midnight on his One Thing At A Time – Sampler: “One Thing At A Time”; “Tennessee Fan,” paying homage to Wallen’s East Tennessee upbringing; and “Days That End In Why.” Together, these three songs serve as the first taste of what’s to come from his time in the studio and arrive on the heels of his new single at Country radio, “Thought You Should Know,” cowritten with Miranda Lambert and Nicolle Galyon, currently sitting Top 20 as his latest No. 1 “You Proof” returns to the top of the charts for a rare sixth, non-consecutive week atop the Country Airplay chart.

“Man, what a year 2022 has been with the Dangerous Tour. I had the time of my life, and I cannot begin to express how grateful I am that my fans connected with the Dangerous album the way they did,” Wallen shares. “I’ve had so many people ask me if I wanted to take some time off; but the truth is - I have been writing and making so much music in my off-time because I feel as inspired as I ever have. It feels like new songs are pouring out of me, and I love that feeling. We are going to run it back next year with the One Night At A Time World Tour. Bigger venues. New countries. Bigger memories. See y’all there.”

As one of the biggest artists in the world with Dangerous continuing to notch historical chart status as Billboard’slongest running Top 10 album in history for a solo artist (eclipsing Adele’s 21 and Bruce Springsteen’s Born In The USA), the 2022 American Music Awards’ Favorite Male Artist and Favorite Country Song winner adds, “Also, I’m not quite done making this new album, so I’m going to keep making it through the holiday break and early January to chase this inspiration. I promise I won’t wait too long to reveal the album details. To hold you over, I’m dropping three new songs today as a sampler of what I’ve been working on. ABOUT MORGAN WALLEN
With over 12.3 billion on-demand streams, multi-platinum certifications and seven chart-toppers at Country radio, it’s no wonder The New Yorker dubbed Morgan Wallen “the most wanted man in country.” His critically-acclaimed, 4x platinum ACM Album of the Year Dangerous: The Double Album (Big Loud/Republic Records) -- Wallen's follow-up to his Double Platinum breakout If I Know Me -- topped 2021's all-genre Billboard 200 Albums year-end chart with 4.1 million units sold earning him 2022 Billboard Awards Country Male Artist top honor while continuing to notch historical chart status as Billboard’s longest running Top 10 album in history for a solo artist (eclipsing Adele’s 21 and Bruce Springsteen’s Born In The USA). Its success sparking an in-demand 55-show THE DANGEROUS TOUR in 2022 that kicked off this February and wrapped in early October, with the superstar’s first headlining stadium show at Globe Life Field in Arlington, TX that saw Wallen shattering attendance records previously held by Elton John and Lady Gaga. The east Tennessean's hit-packed set included “Up Down” (2017), “Whiskey Glasses” (2018), “Chasin' You” (2019), “More Than My Hometown” (2020), “7 Summers” (2020, named one of Time Magazine's Best Songs of the Year), “Sand In My Boots” (2021), and his crossover “Wasted On You.” Wallen's first solo release of 2022, the emotional ballad “Don't Think Jesus,” timed to Good Friday in honor of its redemptive lyrics, earned a Top 10 Billboard Hot 100 debut and landed atop Billboard Hot Country Songs chart making him the first artist to score three No.1 debuts on the chart (based on airplay, streaming and sales) since its inception. Follow up single “You Proof,” released in mid-May, became Wallen’s fastest chart climber to-date, reaching No. 1 after 14 weeks and remaining at No. 1 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart for six non-consecutive weeks. Working outside the traditional Nashville mainframe with producer Joey Moi, Hits Magazine notes, “Wallen continually colors outside the lines,” adding, in turn “he's connected to his fans in ways unprecedented for a country star.” Having already taken home New Artist of the Year in 2020, the CMA New Artist Winner also won AMAs fan-voted Favorite Male Artist and Favorite Country Song at 2022’s awards. The east Tennessee superstar and recent ACM Milestone Award recipient shares, “Awards are awesome, but my true measure of success is my fans, who this year I got to see every single night out on the road and will continue to do so for many years to come.” Thanks to nearly 1 million of his fans, $3 for every ticket sold during his 2022 Dangerous Tour has raised nearly $3 million benefitting the Morgan Wallen Foundation which funds causes close to his heart.

THE ABBEY Unveils New Song + Music Video, "Widow's Will"

Progressive doom rock new-comers THE ABBEY, ft. Natalie Koskinen (SHAPE OF DESPAIR), Jesse Heikkinen (HENGET, ITERUM NATA, etc), Vesa Ranta (SENTENCED, THE MAN-EATING TREE), and Janne Markus (THE MAN-EATING TREE), are now revealing a brand new song, "Widow's Will," along with a dark and beautiful music video! The song is the second single from the band's forthcoming debut full-length, 'Word of Sin,' and can be found below.

THE ABBEY comments on the offering: "This is the first song that guitarist-vocalist Jesse Heikkinen wrote for The Abbey. 'Widow’s Will' is maybe the most straightforward track of the album. It is a love song for Death, dedicated to our late loved ones."

In conjunction, THE ABBEY is now launching pre-sales for the CD and digital formats of 'Word of Sin,' which are due on February 17, 2023! The vinyl counterpart will be released on July 7 and pre-sales will be revealed at a later date.

Aleister Crowley’s Abbey of Thelema was located in Sicily, Italy, and functioned as ground zero for many of the occultist’s most complex and groundbreaking hedonistic pursuits. Here, Crowley codified his ritual practices and took his concept of “Magick” to new, unforeseen levels. He rebranded the temple as “Collegium ad Spiritum Sanctum,” translating to “A college towards the Holy Spirit.” But the Abbey of Thelema was not without its controversy: A young disciple died in 1922 after contracting typhoid fever from the drinking water. And a year later, Crowley was evicted by Italian dictator Benito Mussolini’s regime, yet the mystery and intrigue behind the Abbey of Thelema remain.

It was only appropriate, then, that Jesse Heikkinen, a veteran of the Finnish music scene and a solo artist under the Iterum Nata banner, branded his newest musical pursuit as The Abbey. Drawing lyrical inspiration from esoteric organizations, their beliefs and his own practices, Heikkinen and co-lead vocalist Natalie Koskinen (Shape of Despair) weaved ritualistic tales from the darkest corners of themselves to pair with music that is a provocative, alluring kaleidoscope of dark, heavy rock. The result is the mystical Word of Sin, The Abbey’s nine-song debut long-player.

The Abbey tale began when Heikkinen generated the sudden urge to try his hand at singing in a doom metal band after laying down guest vocals for fellow countrymen Fuzzifer. His idea was to form a doom metal band with “big vocals” — a project for fun’s sake that would thrive off writing from the heart and improvisation. Those plans involved former Sentenced and The Man-Eating Tree drummer Vesa Ranta — the first name that came to Heikkinen’s mind for the project.

Ranta, now a professional photographer and filmmaker, provided the steady backbone behind Sentenced’s groundbreaking career that was brought to its conclusion in 2005. According to Heikkinen, Ranta plays “like a battalion of marching giants,” a not-so-subtle nod to the drummer’s mastery of the quarter-note. Ranta quickly took to Heikkinen’s early demos and suggested they add a female singer. Enter Koskinen. Koskinen knew Ranta from a video shoot where she was serving as a makeup artist. Reluctant to try a new band considering her Shape of Despair and career obligations, Koskinen listened to Heikkinen’s first demo and decided to give the project a go. Janne Markus (guitar, also of The Man-Eating Tree) and Henri Arvola (bass) were soon tapped to complete the band’s lineup.

Word of Sin was recorded between April and November 2021 in several locations across Finland. Drums, bass and Markus’s guitars were tracked at Kratio Studio in Oulu by Kyösti Rautio. Rautio also served as co-producer and mixed the album, becoming the unofficial sixth member of The Abbey. Heikkinen, who recorded most of his vocals and guitars in his stepdaughter’s room, surrounded by My Little Ponies, Disney figurines and a pile of esoteric literature, is careful to point out that The Abbey fails to drop into any neat, little subgenre.

“The album was made purely for self-expressive reasons,” he says. “My music is the channel where I can be as true and authentic as possible. It is also a somewhat safe way to explore and express the dark side of myself and the collective consciousness. Word of Sin may seem like a tremendously dark piece as a rock album, but it’s pretty lightweight for a doom metal album! The material proved so strong that it was obvious that it wasn’t going to be another side project. I think using the means of improvisation made the music sound more like its creator instead of it being forced to be this or that — and that seemed to work really well for us!”

Regardless of where Word of Sin falls between the vast channels of doom and heavy rock, the vocal interplay between Heikkinen and Koskinen is undeniable. Each has songs where they take the lead, but their harmonies and trade-offs carry songs like “Rat King” and “Desert Temple” to the fore, creating a restless, captivating atmosphere resembling vintage rock from the 1970s. And, for his first go at singing lead in a band, Heikkinen proves to be quite the capable vocalist, carrying a smooth, almost airy delivery on “Crystallion” and “Widow’s Will.”

“I didn’t think of it that much — my vocals all came naturally,” he says. “I still think I’m more of a guitarist than a vocalist, really. During the writing and recording, I listened to King Crimson’s Red quite a lot, so I’m sure I got some influences from John Wetton’s singing on that album. The vocal harmonies were heavily inspired by bands like E.L.O, Queen and Yes.”

Heikkinen and Koskinen didn’t know each other before the formation of The Abbey. Heikkinen met Koskinen for the first time when she tracked vocals at his home studio, but their partnership generated immediate results. “Nowadays, I usually record my vocals at home, but in this case, as I had yet to meet Jesse in person, I wanted to record my parts at his place,” says Koskinen. “It’s very important to see what kind of energy is between the musicians I’m going to work with in the long run. It turns out that we are a perfect match musically. Later on, I traveled to Oulu to meet the rest of the guys [Janne and Henri] and I must say that we had a very strong bond from the beginning. Sometimes things just happen even when you don’t plan them.”

“The right lines for each were found really easily,” adds Heikkinen. “There already were dozens of vocal tracks in some of my demos, but every time Natalie found her place in the song, she added something new into it.”

The creative process behind Word of Sin proved so fruitful that the members of The Abbey are already thinking about a follow-up. It’s a testament to the material’s inherent strength and the immediate bond between all five musicians.

“The Abbey will most definitely be an active and serious project for me - I do hope it will turn out fun as well,” wraps Heikkinen. And closes Koskinen: “I do have a feeling this band will make a long trip together.”

"Propelled by the inhuman vocals of John Tardy, the obscenely brutal guitar tone of Trevor Peres and rhythmic brilliance of drummer Donald Tardy, Obituary redefined heaviness throughout the 1990s. From undisputed classics 'Slowly We Rot' and 'Cause of Death', through an unexpected hiatus to their current creative renaissance, Obituary have pioneered, defined and expanded extreme metal, becoming one of the underground’s most recognized and respected acts." - Decibel Magazine

Legendary Florida Death Metal icons OBITUARY return with their highly anticipated new album, 'Dying of Everything', out January 13 on LP/CD/CS/Digital via Relapse Records!

Today, OBITUARY share the official audio for the album title-track “Dying of Everything”!

OBITUARY comment:

"We picked the title track for the second single to give fans a taste of something a bit different than that typical Obituary style and we are excited to showcase Ken’s writing ability when he and Donald put their heads together and feel it just adds some extra flavor & spice to 'Dying of Everything' and can’t wait for the fans to hear it!!"

Additionally, OBITUARY continue the North America Great Heathen Tour with Amon Amarth, Carcass & Cattle Decapitation tonight in New York!

OBITUARY kick off 2023 with their Winter Europe tour in January/February with Trivium & Heaven Shall Burn. A full list of tour dates is available below.

'Dying Of Everything' destroys in the time-honored tradition of early OBITUARY classics "Slowly We Rot" and "Cause of Death" while maintaining the killer studio sound that the band has been perfecting in their own studio since 2007’s monstrous 'Xecutioner’s Return'.

Like just about every album in OBITUARY’s vast catalog, 'Dying Of Everything' is instantly memorable; it’s a skill that OBITUARY have only improved upon over the years.

It’s unusual for a band that’s been around since the ’80s to be doing some of their best work in the 2020s, but that’s exactly what OBITUARY have accomplished through their do-it-yourself attitude and relentless touring on a worldwide level. “I think it comes down to passion,” vocalist John Tardy offers. “I say this all the time, but if something’s not fun, I’m not gonna do it. And we’re having more fun than ever.”

Pennies by the Pound present synth-laden indie-pop 'The End Times' single

"One of Finland’s best kept secrets... quite chameleonic. Best known for their British prog-rock stylings, the quartet try a new size on in this current single – synthpop... truly of the 80s, only with a vocal timbre and passion of Marillion" ~ The Spill Magazine

"Big and extravagant.... this is brilliant music for here and now, wherever that may be" ~ Big Takeover Magazine

"A trippy ride... Loads of flair and professionalism from the band" ~ Amplify Music Magazine

"Indeed a wonderful affair... Pennies By the Pound should be on everyone’s radar as a band to watch in future" ~ The Record Stache

Finnish indie outfit Pennies By The Pound are back with their new invigorating single 'The End Times', the second single from their upcoming concept album 'Nothingside', out in early 2023 via the Lilith label.

Relative to the first single 'Burning Wish', which was beautiful expression of optimism and adventure channelled through a fantastic prism of British progressive rock, this synth-laced track explores the opposite end of the spectrum of emotions conveyed on this sophomore album.

Pulsing with the rhythms and sounds of the neon-lit eighties, 'The End Times' takes the listener on a ride through the turbulent times we (as well as the protagonists of the story) are experiencing at present, keeping sight of the light at the end of the tunnel - even if it is an oncoming train.

"This song is something completely different than anything we've ever done before, almost alien to us in many ways. Most of the credit for that goes to our producer Mr. Eskolin, who was instrumental in making this song happen in the first place," says frontman Johannes Susitaival.

"If I've mentioned before about the influence of all sorts of 80s records on this album as a whole, this is definitely the climax of all that. If you check out the video, you'll especially know what I mean. The subject matter of the album as a whole is a bit heavy, so we tried to bring out some light-hearted fun for a change!"

As with previous releases, the Helsinki-based band worked with Ride frontman Mark Gardener, who mastered the track at his OX4 Sound Studioin Oxford, and top national producer Rauli 'Rake' Eskolin, who has had over a dozen No.1 records in Finland to his name in the past 20 years.

Pennies by the Pound was formed by Johannes Susitaival and Vesa Ranta around 2017, with the lineup expanded in the next few years by first Tomi Laaksonen and then Alexander Meaney, both musicians from previous related projects. Having written for a variety of bands, Johannes began exploring his passion for alternative and progressive rock, which led to Pennies' self-produced 'Bloodshed and the Blinding Sunlight' EP in 2018, followed by their debut album 'Heat Death of the Universe' in 2020. This new release takes them to yet another realm beyond that.

As of December 9, 'The End Times' will be released across digital stores and streaming platforms, including Apple Music, Spotify and Bandcamp, where you can also pre-order the full album directly from the band.

Morris Higham’s songwriter series “Songs for a Cause” returned last night, Nov. 30, to a sold-out house at Nashville’s historic Bluebird Cafe. The evening of song featured performances from hitmakers Matt Jenkins, Derek George, Will Bundy and Johnny Dailey. $2500 was raised with proceeds benefitting Music Health Alliance (MHA). With $1 being equivalent to $30 in healthcare resources for the nonprofit, the night generated approximately $75,000 in impact for MHA.

Once again sponsored by Morris Higham and City National Bank, the return of the series follows five prior “Songs for a Cause” events, including a stop at Joe’s Pub in New York. Collectively the songwriter series has raised over $10,000 for various industry charities including CMA Foundation, MusicCares, ACM Lifting Lives, The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, and the Phran Galante Fund for Lung Cancer Research.

“We are incredibly grateful to Morris Higham, City National Bank and The Bluebird Cafe for creating this special evening of music to benefit Music Health Alliance,” shares Tatum Allsep, Founder and CEO of MHA. “We are so happy this series is back and grateful for their support as we heal the music.”

Morris Higham Management will continue the “Songs for a Cause” series in 2023.

CHRIS CONNELLY presents 'Union Square West' ahead of CD release of 'Eulogy to Christa: A Tribute to the Music & Mystique of Nico'

"Connelly, with his beautiful timbre and artistic candour, delivers a haunting and touching rendition of Nico’s music. Nobody performs quite like this masterful musical chameleon and here, he channels her fabulously, honouring her with depth and personability... impeccable delivery and smoothness" ~ The Spill Magazine

"Chris Connelly has never been an artist of convention... a thematic mirror, Connelly’s songs follow her story – adventurous, controversial, and misunderstood"~ Regen Magazine

"Gently stroking ears with its guitar cast melody, the song simultaneously looms up in tension and anxiety... a moment of intense beauty. Connelly’s tones as the music are emotion and tension personified, leaving his own mark on the song whilst equally bringing forth an evocative and haunting reverberation of its original creators" ~ Ringmaster Review

Alternative music legend Chris Connelly presents 'Union Square West', a welcome teaser of his new album 'Eulogy to Christa: A Tribute to the Music & Mystique of Nico', a colossal offering released by Shipwrecked Industries in the USA and Easy Action in the UK. This 20-track collection pays tribute to Nico - iconic muse of The Velvet Underground and one of the most unique, tragic and misunderstood female artists in the history of music.

This video was made by Chris himself, recreating Lou Reed’s screen test by Andy Warhol. Connelly notes, "Warhol's FACTORY was located at UNION SQUARE WEST between 67 and 68. This song celebrates the arrival of NICO at the factory and her profound effect on the artists and characters therein".

Connelly also recently shared the video for 'Femme Fatale' created by Iain W. Mutch / Walkerandwilliam in Scotland. Earlier singles include 'Eulogy to Lenny Bruce', heralded by some as Connelly's finest vocal performance, and 'Ripcord, Ripcord', which Connelly penned about Nico's rape by a military officer and the trauma of being in the rubble of post-war Berlin, both casting a shadow over the rest of her volatile life, creating the haunted spirit of Nico.

'Eulogy to Christa' is a labour of love, empathy, sadness, acting and channeling, along with Chris’s adoration of the dark corner of rock inhabited by the Velvets and their peers. Now based in Chicago, this album from the Scottish counter-culture icon sees Connelly purposefully adopt the personas of Nico, Lou Reed and John Cale – even Andy Warhol makes a cameo!

In four decades of making music, since his days with Fini Tribe in Edinburgh, Chris Connelly has over 20 solo releases and frequently collaborates with other musicians, including notable projects like Ministry, The Revolting Cocks and Pigface. He has also published four books (poetry, autobiographical and fictional narrative).

Initially planned as an album of 10 Nico covers, Connelly ended up writing additional compositions spanning her life, from her first Jimmy Page-composed single, The Velvet Underground years and her intense and unique solo recordings until her death. Connelly follows her from Berlin to New York via Paris, Ibiza, and Rome, then back through Paris, London, Edinburgh, Manchester and up to her tragic and needless death in Ibiza.

On this album, Connelly worked with producer and long-time collaborator Chris Bruce, who is a band member of Meshell Ndegeocello and also worked with Seal, Aaron Neville, Bob Dylan, The Waterboys, My Brightest Diamond, Cheryl Crow and Sam Phillips.

The album was, in part, inspired by the book 'You Are Beautiful and Your Are Alone' by Jennifer Otter Bickerdicke, who contributed to album liner notes, noting “This is a record to be played at full blast, all the way through, as a commemoration not just to Nico the person, the musician, but to art for art’s sake, for making something because it is important and needs to be done – an idea that is as rare and precious as Nico herself.”

The 'Eulogy to Christa' LP is out now digitally, available via Bandcamp, as well as Apple Music and Amazon. The CD version will be released on December 5.

LA alt-pop artist FAITH MARIE presents a poignant chin-up message on 'Rock Bottom' single

"Faith Marie is carrying the sound and message of these dark times, conveyed in confessional first-hand narrative... A true gem among young singer-songwriters" ~ The Spill Magazine

"Important, universally relatable, and poignant... a fantastic blend of orchestral pop and urban edge, cool downbeat electronica, and a chill dance vibe" ~ Big Takeover Magazine

"A captivating artist who adds an extra layer of emotional depth to the sonic sensibilities of electro-pop and subtly shifts into the shadows of symphonic pop... an artist that translates every iota of emotion, nocturnal nuances into a work of art" ~ The Manc Review

"Eager infectiousness wrapped in emotive rumination and evocative tension... electronic and vocal pop spirit trespassed by darker injections of contemplation" ~ Ringmaster Review

LA-based alt-pop songstress Faith Marie presents her new single 'Rock Bottom', the lead single from her forthcoming EP, titled 'More Than I Am’, which is slated for release in early 2023. Her two-year hibernation is over following a series of lockdowns and other setbacks, this 3-track release taking a year to complete from beginning to end.

This new offering comes hot on the heels of November's 'NVM (Remix)', an infectious downtempo song about depression and the author's personal struggles to move forward. These two tracks constitute Faith Marie's first music output since 2020, when she released 'Nobody'.

Both are the product of collaboration with UUin, Inc., a boutique creative agency focused on curating and creating original content.

"'Rock Bottom' is a song I wrote when I was in a transitional stage in my life. I felt like everything was crashing in on me and yet that I was OK at the same time. I started to explore within myself why I was OK with something that would have emotionally devastated me in the past and I realized it was because I understood what was happening, stopped fighting it, and let go. I let myself feel horrible, I reveled in the human emotions and then I learned and let go," says Faith Marie.

"Unfortunately, sometimes we learn the most about ourselves at rock bottom, and so the most gratifying way to move through it is to be humble and let it inspire you in a positive way if possible."

Faith Marie's foray into songwriting began at the age of 13, launching a successful YouTube channel that attracted over 100,000 subscribers over the next five years, in addition to millions of streams via Spotify. Initial singles included the moody piano ballad 'Antidote', the orchestrally adorned 'Little Girl' and the electronic-laced 'Devil on My Shoulder', each of dealing with themes of struggle, anxiety, and hope.

Having spent her early years in Provo, Utah making music as a family activity, Faith initially traveled back and forth between LA and Utah during her teens while developing her sound and songwriting. Following her cover of Bring Me The Horizon's 'Drown', which went viral, she wrote and self-produced her 'Antidote' single. Since moving to Los Angeles, she has released a dozen singles, always writing from a subconscious place.

Producer and UUin, Inc. label head Amyn Bhai, who has worked with Faith since she was 13 explains, "Faith first wrote the lyrics to ‘Rock Bottom’, as she always does, and had some initial production ideas. As for her debut EP, we took her songs and built the production out with our friends at Slowave Studios, where she also recorded the vocals. It was later polished and mixed with Steve Phillips, our engineer. People can expect more honesty in song form. The production direction is tailor-made for her and the writing is 100% how she is feeling in the moment, translated into song form. Faith has significantly grown as a songwriter, as is natural with the passing of time."

As of November 30, 'Rock Bottom' will be available from fine digital music outlets, including Apple Music, Spotify and Bandcamp, where 'NVM (Remix)' can also be found.

FEUERSCHWANZ Release Cover of ABBA’s “Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!”

Taken from First Covers Album,

'Todsünden', out December 30, 2022

Pre-Order NOW!

A sinful new covers album by FEUERSCHWANZ!

Storming the German charts with their previous #1 album, 'Memento Mori', the hottest German folk rock band FEUERSCHWANZ return – inviting fans on the most exciting journey through time. Presenting the greatest (and worst) earworms in the history of music, the spectacular covers album, 'Todsünden', will be released December 30, 2022 – exactly one year after the release of 'Memento Mori' – via Napalm Records.

The album includes two completely new songs, as well as the cover bonus tracks from their last two studio albums.

The album’s newest single, the band’s adaptation of ABBA’s Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight)”, takes you straight back to the arcades of 40 years ago! This track’s existence in itself is a result of a bet made within the band. They agreed that if their latest studio album, 'Memento Mori', entered the German charts above the Swedish legends, they would cover this song. Lo and behold, the results were overwhelmingly positive, yielding this new ABBA cover!

Premiering alongside an official music video, the characteristic elements of FEUERSCHWANZ meld together with the legacy of Swedish pop heroes ABBA!

Feuerschwanz states:

“‘The world definitely needs another ABBA cover!’ That must have gone through Hodi's head when he made a highly dubious bet on New Year's Eve 2021/22. If 'Memento Mori'beats 'Voyage' by ABBA in the German album charts, we will create a cover version! Hodi, as a self-confessed non-fan of the Swedish band, then had to admit two things to himself: Firstly, 'Memento Mori' reached number 1, so he has to make the bet true. Secondly, the ABBA songs are not bad at all - quite the opposite! So listen to the folk metal version of ‘Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!’ - I wonder if there was mead involved? Certainly. Does the world really NEED ANOTHER ABBA cover? Probably not. Mea culpa. Mea maxima culpa.“

Watch the enchanting music video

Genre exploration and loads of fun aside, amidst it all, FEUERSCHWANZ clearly showcase their musical skills and development on 'Todsünden', convincing with ultra-elaborate sound. In particular, vocalists Hauptmann and Hodi flex their deft skillset, from skyscraper 80s-style falsettos to deep growling and even rapping (as evident on their cover of Deichkind’s Limit”).

So jump on board this thrilling musical ride and witness FEUERSCHWANZ conquering a kaleidoscope of musical styles with ease!

Proving their versatility with every single song on this album, FEUERSCHWANZovercome linguistic, musical and genre-specific limitations and unite the tavern in a sonic feast.

Effortlessly combining different genres, the medieval folk rock geniuses reinterpret everything from pop to punk rock to metal hits without ever losing their own characteristic sound. From beloved evergreens like “Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!” to chart toppers like their latest release “Blinding Lights”, everyone will find their favorite.

With humble support from musicians like Melissa Bonny (Ad Infinitum), Saltatio Mortis, and Angus McSix, 'Todsünden' is a musical spectacle beyond compare.

Pre-order your copy NOW!

This exciting ride starts off with a cover of Swedish pop legends ABBA.

FEUERSCHWANZ give their world-famous song “Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!” a folk rock vibe with a gloomy but still uplifting atmosphere bursting into heavy riffing and drumming. Another pop-tinged rock song of legend is covered with Europe‘s “The Final Countdown”, but the album also features current highlights like “Blinding Lights“, Ed Sheeran’s “I See Fire” and “Ding” by Seed featuring Ad Infinitum’s Melissa Bonny. Punk rock tracks like “The Bad Touch” by the glorious Bloodhound Gang or tracks by German bands like “Hier kommt Alex” by Die Toten Hosen or “Der Graf” by Die Ärzte – a track that FEUERSCHWANZ honor with their very own trademark by telling ancient tales in their own fabulous way.

Similar treatment is given to “Engel” by German legends Rammstein, as FEUERSCHWANZ pick up the story and dress it in their own folkloristic gloomy sound, while in its new version, former European summer hit “Dragoesta Din Tei” throws the listener directly into a wild Viking party, releasing medieval power that will have them out of their seat in no time.

In honor of the metal scene, FEUERSCHWANZ present their very own version of Amon Amarth’s “Twilight of the Thunder God” but give it a new spin by turning it into a medieval hymn with 80s rock vibes. Other famous tracks include covers of Ghost’s “Square Hammer”, a turn at Powerwolf‘s “Amen and Attack” pumped with chanting violins, Sabaton’s “Gott Mit Uns”, and the all-time classic “Warriors of the World” by the one and only Manowar, which they present together with honorable guests Angus McSix, Saltatio Mortis and Melissa Bonny.

FEUERSCHWANZ are:

Johanna – violin, hurdy-gurdy

Hauptmann – vocals, guitar

Hodi – flutes, bagpipes, guitars, vocals

Hans – guitar

Jarne – bass

Rollo – drums

Musch Musch – dance & performance

A. Shark Performs VOYAGER's "Submarine" on Drums

Ever watch a shark play drums? Now is your chance! Perth's premier electro prog sensation VOYAGER is all about breaking boundaries and making the unthinkable happen, and as such, they've just launched a drum play-through of their latest single, "Submarine," featuring A. Shark! The bouncy and uplifting track takes you through a progressive pop metal journey that has been complimented for it's Devin Townsend-esque vibe. Deep down in the depths of Atlantizz we find a rehearsal space with A. Shark busting out the groove on the drums and this play-through of "Submarine" is the result. The clip can be found below.

We managed to grab VOYAGER drummer Ash Doodkorte for a quote on how he felt to be relieved of drumming duties and replaced by A. Shark! Doodkorte says:

"'Submarine' is a beast of a song to play on the drums - packed to the gills with chaotic fills and bombastic beats that leave me wrecked by the end. It was such a relief to hand over drumming duties to A. Shark for this one and leave it in his very capable fins. He really sunk his teeth into this track, and I think you'll agree that this frenzied performance is a joy to behold. We're going to need a bigger kit."

VOYAGER released "Submarine" ahead of their very successful UK/EU tour with VOLA. Voyager's new music video takes a dive into the depths of Atlantizz where the band are on the search for a new bass player. VOYAGER break out their fun and spirited side in this music video in conjunction with a song that welcomes the next wave of what Voyager has to offer. The original video can be found HERE while the single can be streamed or downloaded HERE.

ICYMI: In February of 2022, VOYAGER won the hearts of 'Eurovision - Australia Decides!' viewers, winning the fan vote by a landslide and coming in second place by a mere three points via the official jury vote for their song "Dreamer!" The band is readying for a redemption round and are currently in the studio working on a new single to throw their hat in the ring again for Eurovision 2023! Stay tuned...!

VOYAGER has recently released 2021's 'A Voyage Through Time' virtual performance on Blu-ray and LP on via Season of Mist! The performance was originally recorded on August 10, 2021 at Magnet House in Perth (AU) and aired on September 5, 2021 in celebration of the anniversary of the Voyager 1 Spacecraft that was launched by NASA.

'A Voyage Through Time' presents a one-of-a-kind visual and aural performance that outlines the progression of VOYAGER's musical career. The virtual live experience with full production is a journey across two decades and seven albums with a fan-voted set list, exploring a new and enhanced approach to the band's live show.

'A Voyage Through Time' can be ordered HERE while you can stream or download it HERE.

"Integrating new-romantic 80s vocals against intricate textures of flashy synth, technical Opeth-esque riffs and ambient soundscapes, Voyager are a genre-defying cosmic melting pot of prog metal, djent and power pop." - Metal Hammer

In 2020, VOYAGER's music video for "Runaway" was exclusively premiered via 'Eurovision - Australia Decides!' Following an application via the Song Portal, the band finally received recognition for submitting a track and were paid tribute on the live television broadcast that aired on Saturday, February 8 on the Gold Coast. The can be seen at THIS LOCATION.

The song was taken from VOYAGER's 2019 release 'Colours in the Sun,' which received a wealth of international accolades. Recently, the single "Brightstar" was the first place winner in the Rock / Alternative category of the USA songwriting contest! Last year, 'Colours in the Sun' was the winner of The Independent Music Award in the Rock/Hard Rock Album category. The record was released in November of 2019 and landed a coveted #1 placement on the Australian Independent Albums chart! 'Colours in the Sun' also debuted at #7 on Independent Label Albums as well as #27 on Official iTunes Australia.

'Colours in the Sun' can be downloaded and streamed HERE.

Since their 1999 formation, whatever genre norms, boundaries and regulations thrust upon Perth, Australia’s Voyager have been smashed. They embrace, if not brandish pop; employ a keytar on stage, and, bring forward a positive, if not uplifting feeling to their music, running head-first into the endless parade of heavy bands who see the world in a different light. It’s perhaps why the title of their seventh full-length and first for Season of Mist, Colours in the Sun, is apropos: Voyager simply prefers to see the bright side of things.

“Observations of the malaises of the modern world and the baffling obsession with purity and difference all make me think,” says frontman and founding member Danny Estrin. “We’ve never had it better and we’ve never had it more colorful. To me that’s progress, it’s adaptation, it’s evolution and it’s astounding.”

The follow-up to 2017’s Ghost Mile, Colours in the Sun finds Voyager enmeshed in rich, melodic, song-first tapestries, led by Estrin’s smooth, capable clean vocal delivery. Estrin is self-aware of his vocals, calling them “unique and ‘80s.” But whatever tag Estrin affixes to his voice, they are the propellent throughout Colours in the Sun, serving up a steady diet of soaring, emotive choruses, where melody is paramount and along the way, even getting some help from another distinctive belter, Leprous’s Einar Solberg on “Entropy.”

“Einar and I became good friends on our tours through Europe and Australia,” notes Estrin. “I couldn’t help but ask him to guest on the album. He is a fantastic musician and vocalist. I sent him a reference track which he swiftly ignored and laid his own tracks down. The result is stunning!”

The kaleidoscope of sounds that comprise the album’s ten cuts is the result of Voyager’s far-reaching influences, many of which go beyond the traditional realms of metal and rock. Estrin calls it “catchy at the top, proggy at the bottom, as if Dream Theater and Depeche Mode had a baby.” It’s almost as if the term “progressive” is too limiting for Voyager, particularly when the guitar tandem of Simone Dow and Scott Kay merge for complex rhythms while doing battle against Estrin’s vaudeville-like keyboards (!) on “Reconnected.”

The “proggy at the bottom” notice is served by way of the rhythm section of bassist Alex Canion and drummer Ashley Doodkorte, who stretch their musical tentacles across busy, active cuts such as “Saccharine Dream” and the syncopated “Water Over the Bridge.” “I think we found our ‘voice’ on V (2014) and have been building on that ever since,” says Estrin. “The synthwave prog sound is really something that has naturally developed and has been refined even more on the new album. Every record is progress — that’s what progressive music is all about!”

According to Estrin, the Colours in the Sun album title encompasses a “vibrant multitude of people coming together under the hot Australian sun to create a beautiful and colorful soundscape.” It’s capped off by artwork courtesy of Doodkorte, who made the piece out of photographs near his house in Perth. A closer inspection reveals there are seven suns on the cover, one for each Voyager album, topped off by an updated version of the band’s logo comprised of five strokes, one for each member. No doubt a fitting visual summation of a band whose progress can be the described in the most literal and figurative of terms.

“It’s been a slow steady growth over the years,” concludes Estrin. “Other bands come and go after a year of fame. I really feel like we’ve built up an incredible fanbase, especially over the last decade, and the deal with Season of Mist seemed the logical step to take it to the next level together.”

IAN MUNSICK ANNOUNCES 2023 TOUR:

15-City Tour Features Special Guest Ashland Craft &
Kicks-Off January 20 in Texas, Hitting the Midwest and Southeast

“Bringing the Western Back to Country and Western Music.”

With a staunch fan following building on the heels of his Westwood 2022 Tour, Wyoming-native and truth-teller Ian Munsick takes his SiriusXM The Highway single --written with songwriters Philip Eugene O'Donnell and Aby Gutierrez and featuring special guest and two-time CMA winner Cody Johnson – and turns its notion into a celebratory national tour: Long Live Cowgirls 2023 Tour. With a voice Raised Rowdy calls “the best falsetto in country music” on full display, the tour compliments news of a forthcoming sophomore album by Munsick is slated for early ’23 on Warner Music Nashville.

"'Long Live Cowgirls' is more than just a song. It's an ode to a lifestyle that, until recently, has been a mystery to the masses," reflects Munsick. "Those who have chosen to live the vigorous, unglamorous, western way of life are rarely recognized for it. In fact, that's usually why they choose to live that way. Miles away from the burdens of modern society with only the natural world to give them praise. I think country music listeners resonate with that. They're either living that life, or want to live that life."

Kicking off at the legendary Gruene Hall in New Braunfels, Texas on Jan. 20, the tour will make stops in strongholds Fort Worth, Texas; Knoxville, Tennessee; Indianapolis, Indiana and more before wrapping the first leg of the tour in Georgia on March 16. "We're hitting a ton of places we've never played before this winter/spring,” explains Munsick. “That's probably what I'm most excited about. There's nothing in the world quite like the first time you play in a city or town and have no idea what's gonna happen when you hit that stage. Sharing that first time energy with the crowd is something that only happens once."

From the recently-released, fiddle-laden “Horses & Weed” to faith-driven story-song “More Than Me” –the howling, authenticity-dripping western country singer promises more quality storytelling to come.

Munsick recognizes a similar free-spirited country in contemporary honky-tonk sparkplug, “I Smoke Weed” (with Brothers Osborne) and “Make It Past Georgia” -singer Ashland Craft, inviting the South Carolinian to join his Cowgirls trek. Her Travelin’ Kind debut album previously secured the songwriter inclusion on CMT’s coveted Next Women of Country list and opening ahead of Zac Brown Band, Luke Combs and Morgan Wallen.

On touring with Ashland Craft, Munsick shares, "Anytime an artist asks if they can go on tour with just a guitar and a microphone, you know they're the real deal. Ashland Craft is a badass. Her voice is the exact reflection of who she is. Raw, real, edgy and unapologetic. There are few artists as 'outlaw' as Ashland. She really doesn't give a f*** and country music needs more of that."

In sharing her excitement, Craft exclaims, "I am so excited about being asked to join Ian on tour! I’ve always found a certain comfortability and vulnerability in playing a stripped back acoustic set, and that was something that snagged me the very first time I saw Ian perform live. He does such a kickass job of capturing his way of life and his love of country and bluegrass music and telling that story through his music and on stage. Watching his journey has been inspiring and I’d put all my money down in saying that this tour is going to be electrifying! Let’s get honkytonk!"

Before the tour is underway, Munsick ends ’22 with a performance at the National Finals Rodeo for Rodeo Vegas on December 10. For more information and tickets, visit IanMunsick.com.

ABOUT IAN MUNSICK
Breathing fresh Rocky Mountain air into the Nashville music scene, Ian Munsick is pioneering a new brand of country. The Wyoming-born singer / songwriter’s upbringing was a mix of working the ranch and working crowds. Under the tutelage of their fiddle-playing father, Munsick and his two older brothers grew up playing everything from bluegrass to The Beatles. Captivated by traditional lyrical truth and the modern soundscape, Munsick followed his ear to Music City. After establishing a robust touring career as an independent artist, he signed a major label record deal with Warner Music Nashville in 2020. Since then, he has accumulated more than 340 million global streams as well as accolades from Spotify (“Hot Country Artist to Watch”), MusicRow magazine (“Next Big Thing”) and more. His debut album Coyote Cry features his mile-high tenor underscoring self-penned songs that conjure “equal parts epic adventure and down-to-earth wisdom” (American Songwriter). It marks the dawn of western pop-laced country, pulling a thread straight from Chris LeDoux through Post Malone. Imagery-soaked ode to the west “Long Haul” earned Munsick his second iHeartRadio Rocky Mountain Country Music Award for Song of the Year. WOLFHEART

Melodic death metal powerhouse WOLFHEART released their latest full-length studio album, 'King of the North', in September 2022. Each song on 'King of the North' is dedicated to a different story of Finnish mythology – underlined by WOLFHEART’s grand, crushing songwriting and production.

The King”, for instance, tells the tale of the forest god with horns and pianos accompanying heavy guitar riffs and solos, before raising the energy levels once more on the relentless Cold Flame” featuring Karl Sanders.

“Ancestor” is the album’s most frostbitten anthem, unleashing WOLFHEART’s acclaimed brand of crushing blast beasts and cutting-edge vocal performances alongside guest Jesse Leach of Killswitch Engage.

'King of the North' is a true masterpiece of melodic death metal, crafted with loads of attention to detail and intricate mythology-driven storytelling – showcasing WOLFHEART at never-before-heard artistic levels!

WOLFHEART are:

Tuomas Saukkonen - guitar, vocals

Joonas Kauppinen - drums

Lauri Silvonen - bass, vocals

Vagelis Karzis - guitar, vocals

THULCANDRA

Death/black metal mainstays THULCANDRA released their latest studio album, 'A Dying Wish', to great acclaim in 2021.

Since originating with Obscura mastermind Steffen Kummerer in 2003, the band has become an indispensable protagonist in the European extreme metal-sphere that reaches way back to the magnificent origins of their genres. 'A Dying Wish' was produced at Unisound Studio by Dan Swanö, keeping the black flame of Jon Nödtveidt alive and worthy.

'A Dying Wish' transports the listener right into an icy soundscape of a never ending, severe winter. With 10 blood-freezing tracks delivering clashing guitar riffs, epic downtempo moments driven by atmospheric acoustic guitars and rapid outbursts of dark and raspy screams, THULCANDRA created another record that continues the great legacy of true death metal.

THULCANDRA on 'A Dying Wish' are:

Steffen Kummerer – guitar, vocals

Mariano Delastik – guitar

Christian Kratzer – bass

Alessandro Delastik – drums
