Incite "Savage New Times" set for release on August 15, 2025,

Phoenix-based groovers and thrashers INCITE present their most ferocious incarnation in the forthcoming full length, Savage New Times set for release on August 15, 2025, via Reigning Phoenix Music. A powerhouse of modern thrash metal, Savage New Times encapsulates the pure nature of INCITE instilled with their unyielding drive and years of dedication to honing their sound.

Ever since the beginning, INCITE have been fiercely devoted to crafting their distinctive sound, and making their mark. Since 2009's debut, The Slaughter, each subsequent release demonstrated the band's unceasing efforts as each offering sought to push their own personal creative boundaries ever further. Beyond the studio walls, the live stage is at the heart of INCITE. Ruthless touring schedules have seen the band sharing stages with the likes of DEVILDRIVER and SIX FEET UNDER, and attaining sets before crowds at festivals such as Bloodstock and Heaven and Hell. Their journey has taken INCITE tread across continents - far reaches around the globe from audiences in Russia and Australia, to festivals in South America.

The band's line-up is a testament to their success. Band founder and frontman Richie Cavalera, as the stepson of metal legend Max Cavalera, brought not just a legendary name, but a fresh, raw edge to his vocals that quickly became key to the band's signature sound. Members Lennon Lopez on drums and EL on bass have been instrumental in shaping the band's rhythmic backbone for over a decade. Now, in this next chapter, new guitarist Layne Richardson brings a dynamic and fresh input to both the creative process and live stage.

A formidable sonic force in the thrash metal scene, INCITE's fierce and unforgiving music not only continues to prevail but is elevated through their growth. INCITE will stop at nothing in striving to attain their most powerful version of themselves, and in Savage New Times they present a truly impressive and visceral sound. From the monumental pace of the album's aggressive opener "Lies" and the intense energizing rhythms of "Just a Rat" to the brutal groove driven "No Mercy No Forgiveness" and dark bloodthirsty title track, Savage New Times is a captivating display of power.

About INCITE:
Founded in Phoenix, Arizona, in 2004 by frontman Richie Cavalera, INCITE blends groove and thrash metal with a raw, relentless edge. With Lennon Lopez on drums and EL on bass, the band has honed its unyielding sound across multiple albums, evolving with each release. Their punishing intensity is amplified by producer Steve Evetts (THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN, HATEBREED and mixer Arthur Rizk (SOULFLY, MUNICIPAL WASTE), while striking artwork by Marcelo Vasco (SLAYER, KERRY KING) captures their ferocity. Known for their relentless touring, Incite has conquered stages worldwide, sharing bills with DEVILDRIVER and SIX FEET UNDER, and proving their grit—like driving 500 miles through a blizzard to make a show. The addition of guitarist Layne Richardson has injected fresh energy, elevating both their live performances and songwriting. With sheer determination and raw talent, Incite has carved out a place in modern thrash, dominating every stage with their unbreakable, unforgiving sound.

Bask Announce New Album 'The Turning'

Ever since they came rumbling down from the Blue Ridge Mountains, it was clear that Bask are cut from a different neck of the woods than their fellow Southern trailblazers.

"It's really exactly what you want from a musical artist", Heavy Blog is Heavy wrote about the band's previous album, "a group of people creating their own sound that isn't aping anyone".

The climb to reach album number four wound up taking the Asheville natives on one hell of a trip. But The Turning takes Bask's homebrewed Heavy Americana to a new dimension. While its lead single starts with boots firmly planted in familiar metallic pastures, "Dig My Heels" leaps into the great beyond thanks to a gentle nudge from the band's newest member.

"We've been through so many trials and tribulations together over the past five years", Bask says. "We were knocked down by COVID, then by Hurricane Helene. Seeing this album finally come to light is therapeutic for us. The Turning is Bask at our finest. It's our most cohesive and heartfelt effort, an ode to our mountain home in the sky".

The Turning comes out August 22, 2025 on Season of Mist.

To kick off this heavy and heady new frontier, Bask are touring the East Coast later this summer. Hear them play "Dig My Heels" and other songs from The Turning during the album's opening run out on the road.

For as long as they've been together, Bask have called The Land of the Sky home. "We've been a band longer than we've been with our spouses", says bassist Jesse Van Note. The Turning is still rooted in Appalachia's rugged terrain. The album was recorded at Echo Mountain Recording with producer and fellow Asheville fixture Kenny Harrington, who's also worked alongside Manchester Orchestra. "Dig My Heels" quickly settles into a sunbaked groove with riffs that are as chiseled as red clay. But once drummer Scott Middleton takes the reins, the band's new single bounds off in a proggier direction.

"This song stemmed from Scott calling me out", laughs guitarist Ray Worth. Instead of following Worth's headbanging leads, the band let Middleton's sideways gallop be their guide. "There's nothing wrong with playing in 4/4", Middleton acknowledges, "but if you're not exploring, then you're missing out on a world of opportunity". As "Dig My Heals" rounds the corner into the chorus, what should appear but a country field of paisley countermelodies.

"We all like heavy music and half us grew up around folk and bluegrass", says vocalist and co-guitarist Zeb Wright, "but The Turningleans into that mix even further".

Irish Emo Duo GREYWIND Announces New Album ‘Severed Heart City’ Out September 19th via FLG

Today, the Irish emo duo GREYWIND is excited to announce their cinematic new album,‘Severed Heart City.’ The album will be released on September 19th via FLG. Having heralded the start of a new era earlier this year with epic cuts, ‘Acid Rain’ and ‘I.K.A.M.F.’, the brother-sister duo have announced their second full-length alongside the release of another arena-ready anthem, which will also appear on the record, titled ‘Waterfall.’ The new single is accompanied by a music video, available below.

Guitarist Paul O’Sullivan comments:

'Waterfall' is about hopelessly wanting someone to love you, but getting absolutely nothing in return and waking up to the fact that they couldn’t care less about you. Recording this song felt like a massive moment in our career - it’s dark, cinematic, and has everything we love about music in it.”

Stream/Listen to "Waterfall" HERE

Getting to this point has been more than a rollercoaster for GREYWIND, whose debut album ‘Afterthoughts’ was released in 2017 via a major label who promptly dropped them despite the band’s ultra-promising “Ones To Watch” status. They’ve gone on to stoke their own creative fire and herald an avid fanbase with a Tik Tok surge during lockdown, an EP released by Version III last year (‘Antidote’), tours and festival appearances across the UK, Europe and North America, and now a partnership with FLG. ‘Severed Heart City’ is both the culmination of and the soundtrack to that journey, taking in all the twists and turns in the siblings’ story, both personally and professionally, along the way.

Steph and Paul O'Sullivan comment on the new album:

’Severed Heart City’ is an extended allegory for the stages of trauma, and one’s inner struggle to find resolution. There are many roads that lead to the heart of this broken city, but there is only one bridge out – one of acceptance and hope. Our band was created after the suicide of our uncle and since then we’ve been on an intense journey of achieving some of our biggest dreams to then having everything ripped away from us. ‘Severed Heart City’ is a place where it’s ok to be sad, depressed and feel like the whole world is against you but it’s also a place where you make sure none of those things ever make you give up on yourself or your dreams. Only you can save yourself.”

It’s no surprise to hear that GREYWIND are inspired by great emo pop originators like Jimmy Eat World, Fall Out Boy and My Chemical Romance, with the duo’s flair for the dramatic and knack for an earworm melody resulting in an album filled to the rafters with anthems. These are songs you can imagine ringing out from the biggest of stages and being sung back at the band by rapt audiences all over the world. Envelope yourself in GREYWIND’s ‘Severed Heart City.’

TALLAH Add Experimental Twist To Nu-Core Roots With New Single, "augmented"

Following the chaos of their last two singles, Tallah return with “augmented”—a brutal, groove-heavy offering that throws back to their nu-core roots while flexing the wild experimentation that defines their upcoming album Primeval: Obsession // Detachment, out September 5 via Earache Records. Watch the official music video now below. Listen to the track on DSPs HERE.

Bassist Max Portnoy, who made the creative leap from drums to bass for this album, shares:

“Probably the most ‘nu-core’ track on the record. It feels very reminiscent of where we came from but still steps into the sonic world of Primeval, with acoustic guitars and live strings at points. The experimentation is sprinkled on every song this album. I also wrote ‘Augmented’ at the peak of my slap bass interest, and it made for the most intricate bass track in our discography. So many weird techniques crammed into this one. It’s a bitch to play.”

Commenting on the official music video, Portnoy continues

"In the studio, we wanted to use Josh's VHS camera to film some cool content, and we decided on 'augmented', as it was the first song we jammed together as a unit for this session. It was the song that really got us situated and in the right headspace for this record, so it made sense to film the studio video of this track."

The new track is Tallah at their most rhythmically unhinged—toggling between jagged grooves, acoustic breaks, and dense basswork that cements Max’s evolution as one of heavy music’s most creative rhythmic masterminds. Paired with Justin Bonitz’s raw, one-take vocal performance and a recording process that scrapped all editing and click tracks, “augmented” captures the primal, chaotic energy that’s earned the band over 29.7 million Spotify streams and 66 million YouTube views to date.

Like its predecessors “What we know” and “A primeval detachment,” “augmented” also ties directly into the album’s layered sci-fi narrative. The concept follows two characters, Ana and Sheelah, on a morally destructive journey across an alien world. Fans can dive deeper into the lore through The Primeval Game, a playable story-world that’s updated monthly with new clues, song teasers, and narrative expansions. Explore the game, built in collaboration with Enzo Interactive at primevalgame.com

Primeval: Obsession // Detachment arrives September 5 via Earache Records. Tracked completely live with no edits or safety nets, it’s Tallah’s most dangerous and defining work to date.

ABOUT TALLAH

Emerging from Pennsylvania in 2018, Tallah fuse the percussive force of second-generation drummer-turned-bassist Max Portnoy with the unpredictable dexterity of vocalist and viral phenom Justin Bonitz and the phenomenal guitarist duo of Derrick Schneider and Alex Snowden to form a sound that’s part brutalist nu-metal, part theatrical meltdown, and entirely their own. What began as a raw homage to the early-2000s metal they were raised on—Slipknot, Korn, Linkin Park—has since evolved into something far stranger and far more singular.

After making waves with their 2020 debut 'Matriphagy', a twisted concept album soaked in trauma and noise, the band were hailed by Knotfest as delivering “one of the best metal releases of the year” and by Metal Hammer as “leading the charge on the new wave of nu-metal.” The follow-up, 'The Generation Of Danger' (2022), saw them push their hybrid sound further into chaos—earning millions of streams, high-profile festival slots, and nominations at both the Heavy Music Awards and AIM Independent Music Awards.

But it’s on album three, 'Primeval: Obsession // Detachment' (out September 5, 2025 via Earache Records), that Tallah truly shatter what’s left of the mould. Decamping to Michigan to record the entire project live with longtime producer Josh Schroeder, the band abandoned edits, clicks, backing tracks, and rules. What remains is pure instinct—feral, volatile, and unrelentingly human.

Conceptually, the record unfolds across a sci-fi narrative that follows Ana, a nurse, and Sheelah, an assassin—two strangers manipulated by a shadowy force and driven to the edges of their morality. The mirrored structure, warped sonic callbacks, easter eggs and ambiguous lyrical layering reflect a story full of tests, dualities, and spiraling identity shifts.

To date, Tallah have clocked up 29.7 million Spotify streams and 6 million YouTube views.

WARHOG - The Dystopian Chronicles Vol. 3

WARHOG’s The Dystopian Chronicles, Vol. 3 marks the climactic conclusion to the band’s ambitious trilogy: a sweeping, furious, and often uncomfortably honest exploration of humanity in decline. Born out of the grim tension of a future that feels all too familiar, the Chronicles series has traced our fall through the lens of dystopian storytelling, with each chapter revealing a different facet of our collective unraveling. With Vol. 3, WARHOG delivers their most aggressive and thematically pointed material yet.

Opening track “Unleash the Beast” explodes out of the gate with relentless energy and a venomous perspective on modern society. It’s a track that lives up to its name, channeling the chaos of 24-hour news cycles, corrupt leadership, and the cyclical violence we allow ourselves to repeat. "Kings and clowns trade thrones and lies" isn’t just a lyric—it’s WARHOG’s indictment of the spectacle of power, and the deliberate unleashing of our worst instincts on one another in exchange for profit and control. It’s anthemic, it’s pissed off, and it sets the tone for everything that follows.

“Future Shock” dives even deeper into the psychic fallout of this collapse. Told from the perspective of someone waking up in a broken world, disoriented and surrounded by decay, the track is laced with experimental guitar synth textures and warped vocal effects that push WARHOG’s sonic boundaries. The lyrics ask the question no one wants to answer: how did we let things get this bad? “Beyond the neon lights, the filth is left to spread,” they sing, a grim reminder that the glittering surface of our society is paper-thin. The song feels like a descent, both sonic and spiritual, into a place where identity, value, and purpose have eroded.

Then comes “Hollow,” a slow-burning track that strips away metaphor in favor of something raw and direct. Inspired by the murder of George Floyd, the song addresses the systemic failures of leadership and justice with clarity and sorrow. It mourns a world where those who are supposed to protect instead destroy, and where human worth is too often defined by politics, prejudice, and apathy. “Cast aside by broken men who hide away / Numb to all the pain of those who pay their way.” WARHOG steps away from their usual aggression here to deliver something more haunting, more contemplative, but no less powerful.

The final full song on the EP, “Stewards of a Broken World,” ties together all the trilogy’s themes. Originally written for another project, it quickly found a home here as the band realized it was the perfect finale. The song explores the looming environmental collapse with a sense of exhausted urgency. WARHOG isn’t interested in preaching, they're chronicling. “The harvest of a dying garden, compelled to finish what we’ve started” is less a warning than an observation: we know exactly what we’re doing, and we’re doing it anyway. Musically, it’s both epic and mournful, a fitting end to a trilogy that has always been about confronting our self-inflicted doom head-on.

But Vol. 3 doesn’t fade out quietly. Instead, it ends with something unexpected: “Signal_pulse27103_28_057_undefined_anomaly,” a mysterious transmission from deep space. It’s part outro, part interlude, part teaser for what’s coming next. The band discovered that the combined runtime of Chronicles and their debut album Call of the Voyager differed by just 17 seconds—and decided to even it out with this cryptic, atmospheric piece. It hints at WARHOG’s next chapter, an upcoming release titled Ethereal Journey, already in production. Something sleeping will awaken.

The Dystopian Chronicles, Vol. 3 is heavy. It’s melodic. It’s bruised and furious and strangely hopeful in its refusal to turn away. It’s WARHOG at their most focused and musically fearless. If you’ve followed the journey from Vol. 1 through Vol. 2, this third chapter doesn’t just complete the story—it elevates it. And if you’re new to the world WARHOG has built, there’s no better time to dive in.

About WARHOG:

WARHOG is a North Texas-based progressive metal band founded in 2020, blending relentless riffs, cinematic storytelling, and darkly atmospheric themes. Born out of remote collaboration during the pandemic, WARHOG burst onto the metal scene with their debut album, Call of the Voyager, which introduced their distinctive sound: a mix of heavy rhythms, melodic vocals, and intricate compositions that appeal to both hardcore metal fans and broader audiences.

Comprising vocalist and guitarist Scott Beetley, guitarist Eric Kendall, bassist Justin Hopper, and drummer Robert Powers, WARHOG draws inspiration from heavy metal icons like IRON MAIDEN, BLACK SABBATH, and PANTERA, while weaving in the progressive influence of MASTODON. Their music is both powerful and accessible, with a mission to reach every listener in the room, not just those who came for a metal show. With each release, WARHOG aims to expand metal’s reach and make fans out of everyone, from die-hard headbangers to those just discovering the genre.

WARHOG has already shared stages with heavyweights like CRYPTA and DROWNING POOL and is eager to bring their high-energy, immersive performances to new audiences across the country. Their intense, theatrical shows have won critical praise for being "strongly atmospheric" and "head-noddingly addictive." As WARHOG continues to evolve, they remain dedicated to creating heavy music with universal appeal, using every track and every performance to connect with new fans and to shape a sound that’s unmistakably their own.

  • Eric Kendall – Guitar

Hardcore Legends BIOHAZARD Share New Single "Forsaken" via BLKIIBLK!

BIOHAZARD, renowned for their aggressive style and socially conscious lyrics, has been a seminal force in the hardcore and metal scenes since their formation in the late 1980s. Their unique blend of hardcore punk, heavy metal, and hip-hop elements has garnered them a dedicated fan base and critical acclaim. BIOHAZARD's signing with BLKIIBLK marks a new chapter in their illustrious career, promising exciting new music and projects.

"What started as three reunion shows of the OG lineup turned into three unstoppable years of kicking ass on stage night after night! Now we’re back with a new record that hits with all the classic BIOHAZARD energy, louder and harder than ever," comments guitarist/vocalist Billy Graziadei.

Today, the band shares their first new music in over a decade with the release of a brand new single entitled "Forsaken." A staple of their recent Euro/UK headlining tour and a certified mosh pit favorite, the track offers a first taste of their forthcoming album (TBA). Honoring their old-school roots while pushing forward, “Forsaken” arrives with an energetic live video directed by Billy Graziadei, filmed on tour as the band debuted the song to packed crowds across Europe.

Bassist/vocalist Evan Seinfeld on the new single:

"We shot this video in Amsterdam, at Melkweg, an iconic venue where BIOHAZARD first made our bones in Europe back in the late '80s and ‘90s. It’s really organic, and a little sample of the energy of our first new album in 15 years, performed in a live setting. Make sure you’re strapped in and prepare for some real mayhem when our new album drops!” -

Musical pioneers in every sense of the word, BIOHAZARD were one of the first bands to seamlessly blend hardcore, heavy metal, punk, and hip hop into an intoxicating genre all their own. After more than a decade away, the Brooklyn, NY band’s OG lineup reunited in 2023 to both fan fervor and critical acclaim, headlining the opening night of the legendary Milwaukee Metal Fest for their first show back. Ghost Cult Magazine said they “explosively unleashed their fury with fortitude and force” with “a superhuman set and an awe-inspiring show.

The band followed with two sold-out hometown shows in New York City, a late-summer festival run in the UK and Europe, and a fall direct support slot with Megadeth across North America. That was just the start. They returned to Europe and the UK in 2024 for the early summer festival season – including a headlining slot at Download – and made their triumphant return to South America in spring, then returned home to blow out America’s exploding festival circuit.

Their return did more than turn heads; it caused whiplash, and they partnered with BlkIIBlk Records to record and release new music. More incendiary and relentless than ever, the trailblazers have a fresh outlook and revitalized spirit. This is more than a reunion - for bassist/vocalist Evan Seinfeld, guitarist/vocalist Billy Graziadei, guitarist Bobby Hambel, and drummer Danny Schuler, it’s a revitalization and rebirth.

BIOHAZARD are:

Billy Graziadei - vocals/guitar

Bobby Hambel - lead guitar

Danny Schuler - drums

Evan Seinfeld - vocals/bass

Ecce Shnak kicks off tour with EMF & Spacehog, sharing 'Craig’s List Jawn: ¡Nay! / ¡Yay!'. New 'Backroom Sessions' EP is out now

NYC art-rock quintet Ecce Shnak presents 'Craig’s List Jawn: ¡Nay! / ¡Yay! (Live)', the latest audio-visual offering from their latest 'Backroom Sessions' EP, released via Records, Man Records, as they kick off their West coast tour with platinum-selling legends Spacehog and EMF.

Recorded at Backroom Studios in Rockaway, NJ, the 'Backroom Sessions' EP is a 4-song live set that also includes the raucous 'Fight Song' (Live), a hard-hitting track that offers an ironic take on violence and addressing today's rampant spread of hate-filled vitriol, as well as their groove-inducing opus 'Prayer On Love' (Live) and mind-blowing rock-opera 'Jeremy, Utilitarian Sadboy'.

Ecce Shnak (pronounced Eh-kay sh-knock) is David Roush (composer, bassist and one of two singers), Bella Komodromos (vocals), Chris Krasnow (guitar), Gannon Ferrell (guitar), and Henry Buchanan-Vaughn (drums). Where fervent brilliance blurs into absolute, uncontainable madness, there resides Ecce Shnak, balanced precariously upon an illuminated sonic high wire.

About the new EP, David Roush explains, "While we originally filmed these performances for our YouTube channel, we felt the audio worked as a thrilling scamper through old material and new material alike. In addition, we are finishing a new full-length album and wanted to have something to tide you over, dear Shnak’iversian, until its release next Spring. So until we can share 'Dandy Variances' with you all, here are the “Backroom Sessions.” We so hope you love them tremendously!"

About this tour, he adds, "It is quite surreal. I heard and loved their big radio hits around 10 years old. We are absolutely honored to play with them and have immense gratitude to them for taking us on. Our set list is a mix of the dancey and fuzzy/psychedelia parts of our catalogue, so we are confident EMF and Spacehog fans will shnak out to Ecce Shnak and also feel joyfully reintroduced to the bands they’ve been hoping to see for the better part of two decades.".

The 'Backroom Sessions' EP is out now, available from fine digital music platforms, including SpotifyApple Music, YouTube Music and Bandcamp. Tickets for the Spacehog / EMF / Ecce Shnak tour are available now.

Edenbridge Announce New Album "Set The Dark On Fire" + Return Steamhammer/SPV

Edenbridge, one of Europe's most successful symphonic metal bands, have announced their return to the Steamhammer/SPV fold.

The Austrian act, comprised of band mastermind Lanvall (guitar/keyboards) and vocalist Sabine Edelsbacher, are set to release their latest studio offering Set The Dark On Fire on January 16, 2026.

Three singles, including videos, will be available ahead of the album's arrival: "Cosmic Embrace" (September 19); "Where The Wild Things Are" (November 7); and the title track "Set The Dark On Fire" (December 12).

Lanvall and Edelsbacher promise their fans a typical Edenbridge amalgam of powerful metal, and tried-and-tested anthemic, symphonic elements, with a perceptible increase in heaviness, especially in terms of guitars, bass, and drums.

Lanvall says, "Set The Dark On Fire sees us remain true to ourselves stylistically while making some important adjustments together with our long-standing mixing and mastering engineer Karl Groom (Threshold). The result is the most dynamic, heavy, and at the same time most melodic work to date in the history of Edenbridge."

The studio recordings as well as mixing and mastering of Set The Dark On Fire have already been completed, as has the work on the stunning cover artwork. Edenbridge are currently busy preparing their European tour, which will take them through Austria, Germany, Holland and Switzerland from February to mid-March 2026.

Speaking about their return to Steamhammer/SPV, Lanvall explains, "We're delighted to be able to release our new album with the support of Olly Hahn and his dedicated team again. Due to the organizational restructuring of our previous label, we found ourselves without a contract and promptly received an offer from Olly that proves Steamhammer's faith in us and builds on our successful collaboration between 2013 and 2021."

Steamhammer label manager Olly Hahn also looks forward to the new association with great confidence, saying, "The band has a large fanbase and continues to impress with the amazing quality and passion of their music. I feel sure that Set The Dark On Fire will successfully continue our collaboration of recent years."

The full track listing of Edenbridge's latest album release and dates of their 2026 European tour will be announced shortly.

Cryptopsy Release Filthy Bass Playthrough

Just one year after winning a Canadian Grammy, this week, Cryptopsyare officially back with their eerily prescient ninth album. As the most vile band in death metal prepare to tear into An Insatiable Violence, today, their filthy bass player Oli Pinard is releasing a sharp and shiny new playthrough for lead single "Until There's Nothing Left".

Armed with his trusty Spector 5-string, the fleet-fingered Pinard slaps, slides and smacks through the brutal groove of this delicious earworm from An Insatiable Violence. Feast your eyes on his deadly fretwork by peeping the playthrough over at Metal Injection, who recently named Cryptopsy their Artist of the Month.

"It's a tribute to my bass heroes: Steve Harris, Geddy Lee and Steve DiGiorgio", Pinard says about his playing on "Until There's Nothing Left". "I had the idea for the middle part of the song for a long time now. I wrote it during the pandemic without knowing if it would make the cut somewhere. But when I showed my ideas to the guys during one of our writing sessions out on the road, [Christian] Donaldson put his filter on my riffs and made the magic happen!"

The official bass playthrough for "Until There's Nothing Left" was filmed by Emmanuel Pronovost (@Neokosmos) with assistance from audio engineer Dominic Grimard.

Oli Pinard uses Spector
Bass, EMG Pickups, Darkglass Electronics, Neural DSP and Ernie Ball strings.

An Insatiable Violence comes out this Friday, June 20 on Season of Mist.

Reigning Phoenix Music has teamed up with legendary toy maker Hasbro to bring to life COLD SLITHER

Rising rock and metal label Reigning Phoenix Music has teamed up with legendary toy maker Hasbro to bring to life COLD SLITHER, the fictional band from the iconic G.I. JOE Universe. The collaboration brings together members of GRUESOME, EXHUMED and KMFDM to create a fun and nostalgic homage to one of the most beloved toy brands of all time. The album is set to be released on July 25th, 2025, just in time for a one-night-only exclusive appearance to coincide with this year's San Diego Comic Con.

"Bringing COLD SLITHER to life through our partnership with RPM has been an absolute dream come true! As a child watching this fictional band on my TV screen, I never imagined I'd one day help transform them from animated rockstars into a tangible, sonic reality. From the meticulously crafted figures you can hold in your hand to the face-melting album we've created, G.I. JOE fans worldwide are about to experience something truly revolutionary this summer. This project bridges nostalgia with innovation in ways that will leave the community speechless—prepare for a musical assault that would make Cobra Commander proud!" shares Ben"BMac" MacCrae — Associate Brand Manager, Global Brand Development & Marketing at Hasbro.

Reigning Phoenix Music General Manager and Co-founder Gerardo Martinez comments: "It is a dream come true to be able to work on this amazing collaboration with my favorite, and one that happens to be one of the most iconic brands in the world: G.I.JOE!  It is also a pleasure to work on this amazing project alongside some of my friends from Hasbro and be able to bring Cold Slither into reality in the most Heavy Metal way! Many of us have waited 40 years for this to happen but the wait is finally over. And a special thanks to Michael Charles Hill for writing the original COLD SLITHER episode back in 1985."

"It's programs like these that make Hasbro's goal of creating Magic Moments truly come to life! What started out as a cult-classic episode from the 1985 series G.I. JOE: A Real American Hero has culminated into a fan program for the ages - inclusive of toys, comics, and of course, music. It could not have been made possible without amazing licensees like Reigning Phoenix Music who put their passion, expertise, and fandom into everything they create. We're extremely excited for everyone to rock out to this single and we plan to reveal even more as we move closer to San Diego Comic Con. So, as the single echos, we hope... "you'll be joining us soon!"" says Alyse D’Antuono — Hasbro’s VP of Global Franchise Strategy & Management for Action Brands.

Preorders are now live for Cold Slither — the band’s full-length debut album — including a limited “Dreadnok Attack Orange” marble vinyl variant available via Reigning Phoenix Music and select retailers like Amazon, Amoeba and indie record stores.

Featuring 10 original tracks and a remastered version of their cult-classic single “Cold Slither,” the album plunges into dystopian metal with themes of swamp-born menace and Cobra-fueled power.

The Cold Slither album arrives July 25 across digital and vinyl formats, including San Diego Comic Con-exclusive “Zartan Chameleon Blue” and “Blood Moon Red” vinyl variants available only at the Hasbro and RPM booths, respectively.

Buzzer - Andy Selway, drums (KMFDM)

About COLD SLITHER:

COLD SLITHER burst onto the scene with their now classic single, "Cold Slither",  setting the stage for an even darker campaign with their upcoming album, "Cold Slither." Helmed by the enigmatic Zartan and supported by his ruthless Dreadnoks—Torch, Ripper, and Buzzer—this band blends heavy metal ferocity with a sinister, anarchistic energy that upends the conventional music scene. Their signature sound unleashes a torrent of guttural guitars, boisterous bass, venomous vocals, and thunderous percussion, casting shadows across the musical landscape.

Each concert is a spectacle of chaos and brute force, with COLD SLITHER captivating hearts and demolishing instruments worldwide. Their music transcends generational divides, championing a dark new world order with each pulse-pounding beat. This band doesn’t just chase gold and platinum records; they aim to capture the minds and souls of their audience.

Conceived by Cobra Commander, Zartan and his Dreadnoks were transformed into COLD SLITHER, a heavy metal behemoth designed to captivate and influence America's youth. With their cunning lyrics and compelling stage presence, they harness their music as a powerful tool for mass destruction and control.

Anticipation for their forthcoming album Cold Slither is building, with fans eager for a new chapter of anthems that promise not just to challenge but to change the industry. Prepare for an auditory onslaught that will resonate long after the lights fade. With Cold Slither, the revolution is not just televised—it's an all-encompassing, reverberating force. Brace yourself to join their ranks and be changed. Their music doesn’t merely entertain; it indoctrinates.

About HOLLOW LEG:

HOLLOW LEG is a heavy band born in the swamps of Florida, built on riffs, rhythm, and raw energy. Since forming in 2009, the band has forged a sound that blends sludge, doom, and hard rock with elements of grunge, classic metal, and even blues and hip-hop — a swampy, groove-laden punch to the gut that’s as soulful as it is crushing.

Over the years, HOLLOW LEG has carved out a loyal following with their dynamic songwriting, relentless live shows, and a discography that balances grit with atmosphere. The lineup — Scott Angelacos (vocals), Brent Lynch (guitars/backing vocals), John Stewart (drums/percussion), and Tom Crowther (bass) — brings deep roots in the underground, with current and former members of cult bands like BLOODLET, CARIBOU KING, and JUNIOR BRUCE.

With appearances at major underground festivals like Psycho Las Vegas and Maryland Doom Fest, and a catalog of full-lengths and EPs that have pushed their sound in new directions, HOLLOW LEG continues to evolve without losing their core: heavy, honest, and hungry. Whether channeling the slow burn of doom, the swagger of stoner rock, or the urgency of hardcore, they remain fiercely committed to the riff and the truth it carries.

Their new album, Dust and Echoes, is the culmination of everything the band has built — a concept forged from two distinct EPs that fuse into a single, end-of-days experience. It’s their heaviest, most varied, and most fully realized statement yet.

HOLLOW LEG is:

  • Scott Angelacos – Vocals

  • Brent Lynch – Guitars, Backing Vocals

  • John Stewart – Drums, Percussion (including rainsticks)

  • Tom Crowther – Bass

LAGUNA Unveils New Single “Living On The Line” + Video

Today, melodic hard rockers LAGUNA unveil their new single “Living On The Line," taken from the upcoming debut album, titled 'The Ghost Of Katrina.' The album will be released on July 11, 2025, via Frontiers Music Srl. The track also has a new music video, available below.

Talking about the new single, vocalist Andrés Espada stated:

“The song captures the essence of living life to the fullest, embracing the thrill of the unknown, and taking risks. The song is about being fearless, spontaneous, and fully immersed in the moment. Straight up rock n roll!”

Watch the Music Video for “Living On The Line"

Hailing from the northern part of Mexico, from the arid desert of Torreón, Coahuila, LAGUNA is a five-piece hard rock band ready to take the world by storm with their debut album, ‘The Ghost Of Katrina.’

Drawing from the European and Scandinavian melodic hard rock scene, LAGUNA’s sound is an electrifying blend of powerful production, anthemic choruses, and in-your-face guitar riffs deriving from influences like One Desire, H.E.A.T., and other renowned acts from the scene.

'The Ghost Of Katrina' is produced by Jimmy Westerlund (known for his work with One Desire and more recently Giant), and perfectly captures LAGUNA's high-energy and dynamic style, bringing to life a heavy yet melodic sound that's both thrilling and emotionally charged. The songs feature strong hooks, vibrant instrumentation, and an intensity that reflects the band’s unrelenting passion for hard rock.

Pre-Order 'The Ghost Of Katrina' HERE

Formed in 2018 by a group of hard rock and heavy metal enthusiasts, LAGUNA’s sound is rooted in hard rock but with a distinctive modern twist. Their music is crafted to make listeners scream at the top of their lungs and throw their fists into the air – a perfect soundtrack for anyone who craves a high-octane, fist-pumping experience.

LAGUNA’s meteoric rise is a testament to their tireless dedication to their craft. Over the years, they have built a solid reputation in the North and Latin American rock circuits, performing at major festivals like Hell and Heaven Fest (one of Latin America's biggest rock festivals) and the infamous KnotFest. The band has had the privilege of opening for iconic acts such asW.A.S.P., Timo Tolkki, and The Warning, further solidifying their place in the international rock scene.

LAGUNA’s music is a reflection of the barren desert from which they hail – a place where resilience and tenacity are born out of hardship. As guitarist José Mesta explains, “Long before it was a desert, it was a lagoon, but dried out thousands of years ago, leaving nothing but snakes and rats, yet deep down beneath the surface, water flows through the caverns of this great desert”. This metaphor speaks to the essence of LAGUNA – a band born from the depths of hardship, yet ready to rise with the power and energy that only hard rock can bring.

LAGUNA is set to make waves across the global rock scene. Their blend of melodic hooks, heavy riffs, and explosive energy will leave listeners craving more. This is only the beginning for LAGUNA, and they are poised to continue proving that Mexicans can indeed rock!

LAGUNA are:

Andrés Espada – Lead Vocals

José Mesta – Lead Guitars

Firio Verástegui – Rhythm Guitars

Daniel Mesta – Bass

Sergio Mtz – Drums

Wind Walkers Release New Music Video "Eating My Heart Out" (via Fearless Records),

Genre-blending metalcore outfit Wind Walkers have today released the official music video for their poignant new track "Eating My Heart Out" (via Fearless Records), directed by Alex Kouvatsos at Blackwolf Imaging. Speaking about the inspiration behind the song, vocalist Trevor Borg commented:

"This song captures the guilt, feeling of distance and identity conflict that comes with life as a musician and being on the road. You can feel such a divide in identity, having to be what your career needs and who your family needs at the same time. I’m sure this song will resonate with people dealing with turmoil in a relationship, but I truly wrote this song to be a portrait of guilt in having uncertain dreams, with the intent to resonate with other artists and people who share the same conflicts. I also intended for it to serve as a message to the fans and lovers of music about the sacrifices that go into the art form they hold so dear to their heart."

Prior to today, the quintet announced signing with Fearless Records and dropped "The End Aesthetic" through their new label home which has clocked up 164k views and counting on YouTube and nearly 1.2 million streams on Spotify alone. Watch "Eating My Heart Out"  below, and stream the track here,

New Jersey's Greg Amici presents 'Tragicomic' album, full-throated rock power via Magic Door Record Label

New Jersey artist Greg Amici presents his new album 'Tragicomic', a storied set of 12 songs released by Montclair-based indie imprint Magic Door Record Label. On the trail of the classic rock stinger 'No Fool' and initial single 'I'll Be Back', this record offers a blend of absurdist-rock, ska, Americana, folk-punk and straight-up classic rock, with a clear-eyed view of the world through Amici’s unique lens. Greg's lyrics often offer an unexpected turn of phrase, delivered with full-throated rock power.

With roots firmly planted in Jersey, his creative journey has taken him from the heart of Manhattan to Los Angeles and back again. In the late '90s, Greg formed Big Honey, a NYC-based band whose rise peaked with an appearance at the CMJ Music Festival but paused indefinitely when a vocal polyp sidelined Greg for years. Despite this setback, he didn't let his distinctive voice and songwriting abilities go to waste, returning to the studio after a 16-year hiatus.

Reuniting with producer James Mastro (The Bongos, Mott the Hoople, Ian Hunter) and engineer / drummer Ray Ketchem (Guided by Voices, Elk City, Gramercy Arms, Luna) at Magic Door Studio in Montclair, the creative process inevitably led to  an array of upbeat satires ('Cynthia, Come to Me', 'No Fool') and ominous ballads ('Junky Eyes', 'In Like a Lion'). The resultant 'Tragicomic' album wasmastered by award-winning engineer Greg Calbi (John Lennon, David Bowie, Bruce Springsteen, Talking Heads, Patti Smith, Tom Petty).

"When we first started recording back in 2019, I told Jim Mastro I had a vibe for Patti Smith’s 'Waves' album. Ironically, Tony Shanahan wound up playing on most of the cuts. That said, I kind of just trusted Jim’s instincts in whatever direction he took them. For the more comic songs, like 'Cynthia, Come to Me' and 'Tom Seaver', I wanted a carnivalesque sound, and Jim got that on keyboards and guitar synths," says Greg Amici.

The 'Tragicomic' album also involved former Amici bandmates Joe Gentile (Big Honey)and Tommy Aboussleman (Electric TNT), along with special guests Tony Shanahan (Patti Smith Band) and Renee LoBue (Elk City) contributing to the recording. Whether it’s a "serial killer romance" or a biting satire, Greg Amici proves that a Jersey count knows how to count on rock ‘n’ roll.

Calling himself a "count in name only", tracing his aristocratic lineage through Italian family names such as Benedetti, Stalute and Scala, Greg found his calling as a musician in high school, inspired by local bands. Picking up the guitar in his late teens, he founded his first band, The Clergy, and later teamed up with a musical partner to form the '80s alt-rock band Junk.

As of June 13, the 'Tragicomic' album is available from fine online music platforms, including Apple MusicSpotify and Bandcamp. The double-gatefold limited-edition vinyl LP Includes lyrics and liner notes. The CD comes with a CD wallet and includes a 16-page booklet with lyrics and liner notes.

Amici also has another album on the horizon later this year, chronicling decades of songwriting with characters ranging from teenagers to 30-somethings. He will be supporting this album with a series of live performances, to be announced soon.

There must be an undying source of inspiration, creativity and endurance where Swedish metal institution ELEINE originate from. How else would you explain non-stop touring - including their 2024/2025 debut headline run - and releasing four full-length albums, two electric and even an acoustic EP since their foundation in 2014? While they’re working on studio album no. 5, ELEINE didn’t want to let their fellowship wait even longer and therefore announce the release of a brand new EP today. Rewarding those without the band wouldn’t be what it is today - their endlessly supportive fan base - the Swedish outfit will put out We Stand United on September 5, 2025 via Reigning Phoenix Music, concurring with the first date of the Domination European tour which will see ELEINE enter the stages as special guests to German metal commandos PRIMAL FEAR.

The EP will comprise five tracks, featuring two unheard pieces: an intro called "Towards The Fields" as well as its title song, a future live favourite cementing the massive bonding between both band and fans, which makes the limited CD and vinyl versions of We Stand United a must-add to every ELEINE collection.
Pre-order/pre-save the EP now, here: https://eleine.rpm.link/westandunitedPR

The self-produced offering was recorded at Studio Bohus in Kungälv, Sweden before ELEINE handed the new material to trusted mixing/mastering engineer Thomas “Plec” Johansson (The Panic Room Studio). Finally layouted by Madeleine, the EP’s artwork was crafted by the band’s long-time partner Nestor Avalos alongside the front-woman.

Despite delivering brand new music, an unknown live recording is leading the way to the release of We Stand United, which once again refers to the special connection between ELEINE and their supporters.

Original members Madeleine Liljestam (vocals) and Rikard Ekberg (guitars, vocals) state: “To introduce you to our upcoming EP we chose this one live track as the first single. We feel it represents us and presents ELEINE in a setting we love and one we do very well: PERFORMING LIVE! This is ‘Never Forget’ live from Masters of Rock 2024 in the Czech Republic, and although we had just slept 1-2 hours, scorching hot sun and 50°C (122°F) on stage - we had a great show with an amazing crowd at one of the best festivals out there. We are also rising from a rough start of 2025, and we are reclaiming our lives that truly felt like under the darkest of skies. The scars are present, but ELEINE is and will always remain - alongside with our dedicated and loyal fans!”

ELEINE are:

blessthe fall Announce New Album "Gallows" + Share "mallxcore"

Arizona quartet blessthefall — Beau Bokan [vocals], Eric Lambert [guitar], Jared Warth [bass], and Elliott Gruenberg [guitar] — are thrilled to announce GALLOWS, their first album in 7 years. It arrives September 5 via Rise Records. Pre-order it here.

Accompanying this news is the release of the new single "mallxcore."

Watch the visualizer below.

"You ever hear a song from a band and go, 'Holy fucking shit, they nailed it?,'" Bokan muses. "That’s what 'mallxcore' will make you feel. This song was so fun to write as we went in with no intentions other than writing the most blessthefall song possible. The song title is a poke at the r/Metalcore reddit haters."

The official video for the track will arrive on Thursday, June 19.

Bokan offered an advance tease about the video, saying, "We knew the music video for 'mallxcore' needed to be as fun as the song was. We hand-picked Tanner Gordon to direct because of his amazing work with bands like Spiritbox. In the video, we all have normal, mundane jobs then I'm recruited by an over-dramatic party host who needs a band to perform at her shindig...STAT. As a bonus, there are some really cool easter eggs throughout the video that we dropped in there for the hardcore fans!"

Stay tuned, because it's coming!

Bokan shares this additional insight about the album, saying, "Gallows is a culmination of everything we love about writing music. We took our time and only wrote when we felt inspired. Every song you hear on this album was written from a place of excitement and freedom and you can hear that shine on every track. From the visceral screams over some of the most disgustingly heavy parts we've ever written to the massive sing-along choruses, there's something for everyone. If you're a die hard BTF fan since Day One or a first-time listener, Gallows will end up on your Top 3 metalcore albums for 2025."

It's a bold statement but it's also true!

The album also features guest appearances from Story Of The Year, Alpha Wolf, and Caskets.

Out Now from Masseti - Odds and Ends

Progressive metal visionary Tiago Masseti makes a striking debut under his solo moniker MASSETI with Odds and Ends, an emotionally charged concept album arriving June 14, 2025. Fusing blistering technicality with cinematic ambition, the record spans brutal riff onslaughts, labyrinthine time signatures, ambient textures, orchestral flourishes, and haunting vocal performances. Each track plays like a chapter in a larger narrative, balancing complexity with cohesion, and aggression with vulnerability. It’s a body of work that feels meticulously crafted yet emotionally raw, drawing listeners into a soundscape where mythology, dystopia, introspection, and survival all collide.

Opening the album with razor-edged intent, “Serpents and Whores” delivers a scathing sermon from the brink of collapse. Theological and mythological imagery fuse with sonic extremity, blistering polyrhythms, jagged riffs, and eerie melodic threads form a soundscape that feels both violent and sacred. Orchestral flourishes and ambient textures rise from the maelstrom, lending the chaos cinematic weight. The interplay of guttural growls and clean vocals creates a dramatic tension between purity and decay, capturing themes of moral erosion and spiritual war. This isn’t just an opener, it’s a mission statement: Odds and Ends refuses to compromise artistry for intensity.

Track two erupts like the second act of a war opera. “Against Our Fire” plunges listeners into the scorched ruins of a fallen nation, where a deposed leader rises from exile to ignite a campaign of vengeance. It’s rhythmically complex and steeped in contrast, thunderous, off-kilter riffing collides with sweeping orchestration, while evolving time signatures keep the listener unmoored. Urgency pulses through every measure, as if the track itself is teetering on the edge of war. A masterclass in narrative momentum and dynamic control.

Descending into dystopian surrealism, “The Pool of Liquid Dreams” constructs a disorienting dreamstate of synthetic highs and digital despair. Set in a near-future where virtual reality and psychoactive tech blur the line between sensation and simulation, the track unfolds like a lucid hallucination. Angular guitars cut through ambient haze, while hypnotic vocal layering mimics the disorientation of a synesthetic trip. Each glitchy tempo shift feels like a system malfunction, a deliberate fracture in the matrix. It’s immersive, haunting, and disturbingly beautiful.

“Gone” marks a stark tonal shift of moody, minimalistic, and emotionally bare. Stripped of distortion and density, it leans into restraint, with soft instrumentation framing intimate, vulnerable vocals. It evokes the quiet aftermath of personal loss or emotional fallout, like the credits rolling after a climactic collapse. Its simplicity feels intentional, allowing space for reflection amid the chaos of the surrounding tracks.

“The Singer in the Arms of Winter” is a haunting, atmospheric piece that unfolds as a meditation on solitude and creative exile. Sparse production, built from synth pads, delicate piano, or drones, evokes the chill of isolation. Breathily delivered vocals, drenched in reverb, drift like a ghost through a frozen landscape. The title suggests artistic stillness and spiritual hibernation, using winter as a metaphor for mourning, introspection, and retreat from the noise of the world.

Clocking in at nearly eight minutes, “Never Be Like You” unfolds like an ambient fever dream. One of the album’s most emotionally charged moments, it’s built on soft synths, spacious percussion, and restrained vocals that echo with aching detachment. The lyrics explore identity and expectation, grappling with self-alienation and quiet rebellion against imposed ideals.

Minimalist yet emotionally potent, “Hindrance” lingers in the space between paralysis and longing. It’s a song of psychological stasis, conveyed through slowly pulsing rhythms and subdued instrumentation. The vocals feel weighted, held back, mirroring the track’s central metaphor of internal resistance. A study in subtlety, it uses dynamic restraint to deliver its emotional blow.

Spanning over eight minutes, “Heir of the Survivor” closes the album with gravitas. This cinematic and introspective epic fuses ambient textures with methodical instrumental builds, culminating in a climactic swell that feels both earned and inevitable. Lyrically, it reflects on survival not just as endurance, but as inheritance, a meditation on memory, legacy, and the scars we carry forward. A fitting finale for an album steeped in transformation, decay, and rebirth.

With Odds and Ends, MASSETI carves out a space uniquely his own, where precision meets vulnerability, and storytelling is just as vital as sound design. It’s an album that rewards close listening but never loses sight of its emotional core. From its visceral opening to its final, reflective moments, Odds and Ends stands as a bold artistic statement, one that challenges convention while forging new creative territory. MASSETI arrives not just as a soloist, but as a singular voice worth following.

About MASSETI:

Tiago Masseti is a Progressive Metal singer, guitarist, and songwriter originally from the South of Brazil and now based in Brooklyn, New York. A self-made musician, Tiago’s musical journey began as the lead singer and main songwriter for DAYDREAM XI (Brazil), where he fronted the group for most of his life. In addition to his work with DAYDREAM XI, he was the singer for KINGDOM NORTH, an international power metal supergroup featuring members of SAVAGE CIRCUS, NOCTURNAL RITES, and SYMPHONY X. He also contributed vocals for the Danish band THIRD EYE and lent his voice to Bjorn Lakenstrazen’s experimental progressive project, GALAXYA (US).

In 2025, he embarks on a new chapter with his band MASSETI, set to release their debut album. His journey to the United States began at the age of 24 when DAYDREAM XI was handpicked by Mike Portnoy to perform at the prestigious Progressive Nation at Sea festival. This opportunity led to a record deal, a performance at ProgPower USA, and the beginning of his new life outside Brazil. However, the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in New York City found him isolated, with few friends, little money, and a wealth of musical ideas. During this time, he wrote and pre-produced four albums and wrestled with the decision of whether to continue under the DAYDREAM XI name or forge a new path. The result is MASSETI, a bold new musical venture that draws on his extensive experience while offering a fresh sound and vision.

MASSETI’s sound is inspired by a diverse range of artists, including OPETH, SYMPHONY X, DEVIN TOWNSEND, and DREAM THEATER. These influences contribute to the band’s intricate compositions, dynamic arrangements, and heavy, yet melodic, style.

With MASSETI’s debut album on the horizon, Tiago is excited to connect with fans and share his new music. Always open to hearing from his supporters, he encourages messages across his platforms and looks forward to hitting the road in the near future.
