Holding Absence Announce New Album "The Noble Art Of Self Destruction" + Share "False Dawn" Video — WATCH🤗

HOLDING ABSENCE have announced the release of their third album The Noble Art Of Self Destruction. Serving as the third and final entry in a trilogy that began with 2019's Holding Absence, The Noble Art Of Self Destruction will be released on August 25 via SharpTone Records.

In the wake of the album announce, the band comments, "Today, we are pleased to announce the third Holding Absence album The Noble Art of Self Destruction will be released on August 25! After an insanely busy and fulfilling album cycle for our second record, last October we spent a month in Jukasa Studios Canada, to record more new music. This record — the third in a trilogy — is by far our most conceptually rich and expansive body of work to date. We feel like these songs are almost a love letter to everything Holding Absence, and can't wait to show everybody just how much space we have managed to cover, and how hard we were able to push ourselves with these songs."

To also coincide with the announcement, the band has released a beautifully stylized video for the album's second single "
False Dawn."

"We are ecstatic to be dropping our brand new single 'False Dawn' today," the band says. "This is definitely a personal favorite for all of us on the record! A somewhat defeatist song about denouncing expectations, and coming to grips with failure, this song is a quintessential Holding Absence song, with its uptempo energy and downtrodden introspection. We hope you enjoy!"

The Noble Art Of Self Destruction was recorded at Canada's Jukasa Studios with producer Dan Weller (Enter Shikari, Bury Tomorrow).

Scotty McCreery Celebrates New RIAA Certifications: 3X Platinum “Five More Minutes + Platinum “Damn Strait”

Triple Tigers recording artist Scotty McCreery continues to reach new milestones as “Five More Minutes,” the first of five consecutive No. 1 singles, reaches RIAA Triple-Platinum Certification, while “Damn Strait,” the most recent of his back-to-back hits, reaches RIAA Platinum status.

“I’ve always said that ‘Five More Minutes’ is my favorite song I’ve ever written. For it to become my first Triple Platinum single means it has really connected with the fans, and as a songwriter that’s what you hope for,” said McCreery. “‘Damn Strait’ is one of the most fun songs I get to sing live each night. I’m excited to see the success of both of these songs recognized by the fans and the RIAA.”

Written by McCreery with Frank Rogers and Monty Criswell, “Five More Minutes” earned him one of five BMI Awards for writing One of the Top 50 Country Songs of the Year and inspired two popular Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Network holiday movies with “Five More Minutes” and “Five More Minutes: Moments Like These.”

The second single from his latest album Same Truck, “Damn Strait” was written by Trent Tomlinson and Jim Collins and spent three weeks at the top of both the Mediabase and Billboard charts, along with being named one of “The 10 Best Country Songs of 2022” by
Billboard.

McCreery’s current and fastest rising single of his career “It Matters to Her,” co-written with Rhett Akins and Lee Thomas Miller, continues to climb in the top 5 on the Mediabase chart and top 7 on the Billboard chart as he joins the Brooks & Dunn REBOOT Tour, continuing tonight at Legacy Arena in Birmingham, Alabama, along with additional headlining shows sprinkled throughout the summer.

Earlier this month, McCreery surprised fans with the new digital track “Why She Gotta Be Like That” featuring Colombian singer/songwriter GUSI. The North Carolina native discovered the Latin sensation on social media performing his song “Why You Gotta Be Like That” and was struck with the idea for a duet between the two featuring both Spanish and English verses. Listen to the song
HERE and watch the video below , which premiered on CMT, CMT Music and CMT.com.

McCreery is also one of the artists featured in the new “American Currents: State of the Music” exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, on display through Feb. 4, 2024.

Chase Rice Pays Tribute to His Late Father With "For A Day," Available Everywhere Now

Previously Available Only as a Hidden Track on Physical Versions of
I Hate Cowboys & All Dogs Go To Hell, “For A Day” is Available Everywhere Now
in Honor of the 15th Anniversary of Daniel Rice’s Passing

Previously available only as a hidden track on physical versions of Chase Rice’s critically acclaimed album, I Hate Cowboys & All Dogs Go To Hell, powerfully emotional song “For A Day” is available everywhere today, May 18, as Rice marks the 15th anniversary of his late father’s passing.

Written alone by Rice and recorded on the final day of the immersive two-week session at his rural home-turned-studio with producer Oscar Charles, “For A Day” was captured in its purest form, with just Rice and a guitar, once the live band was gone and the bulk of the studio setup had been torn down.

“This is as raw as it gets,” the man praised by Sports Illustrated for “his wild ride to redemption” explains. “I miss my dad every day, and if I could have one more with him here’s just a couple things I’d do with him. My favorite part would be seeing him with my niece and two nephews. I did three takes on this, one for each one of them, and I couldn’t hold it together for any of ’em.”

“We’d hop in your F-250. I’d tell you to tell me about how you met mom when you was on your way to pick up your second to last first date. We’d pour out Black Velvet Whisky, the first one you ever drank with me. I’d trade my Chevrolet, every dollar made, every song I ever sang… for a day,” sings Rice in what Billboard celebrates as “most vulnerable recording to date” emblematic of “his open-hearted approach to his new music.”

Rice first debuted the song ahead of the album’s release on the Grand Ole Opry stage, where he reflected on the sudden loss of Daniel Rice in 2008 and the impact that had on his musical journey, including at his 2014 Opry debut where he looked out to see his mom, Connie, next to an empty seat in his dad’s honor. Watch the moving performance and Rice’s heartfelt intro
HERE.

The song’s digital release follows this week’s premiere of a 10-part docuseries chronicling the full recording process of I Hate Cowboys & All Dogs Go To Hell, with the first three episodes available now and additional installments dropping each Tuesday. Watch
HERE.

Rice’s
Way Down Yonder Tour also continues to visit sold-out venues across the country, as summer anthem “Bad Day To Be A Cold Beer” is impacting Country radio now. For all the latest news on his music as well as upcoming tour dates, visit ChaseRice.com and follow Rice on FacebookTwitter and TikTok @ChaseRiceMusic and on Instagram @ChaseRice.

About Chase Rice
With more than 2.4 million albums sold and over 2.5 billion total streams, plus a legion of passionate fans at his high-energy concerts across the globe, Chase Rice has established himself as a powerful force in Nashville and beyond. With the critically acclaimed album I Hate Cowboys & All Dogs Go To Hell crafted in his rural Tennessee home-turned-studio available everywhere now, Rice’s sound continues to evolve to reflect the realities of his life; from emotional reckoning to an admiration of the Western way of life. The new music serves as a follow up to his three-part project, The Album, featuring his latest Platinum-certified No. 1 hit, “Drinkin’ Beer. Talkin’ God. Amen. (feat. Florida Georgia Line)” and Platinum-certified Top 10 hit “Lonely If You Are.” This is the same gravelly-voiced Chase Rice fans first fell in love with years ago – but better, freer; unbeholden and uninhibited. The new music builds upon the success of his sophomore album, Lambs & Lions, which featured the triple-Platinum, two-week chart topper “Eyes On You” – Rice’s first No. 1 as an artist and the most-streamed song of his career. Lambs & Lions followed Platinum-certified Ignite the Night, which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums and No. 3 on the all-genre chart, producing a pair of Top 5 hits; Platinum-certified “Gonna Wanna Tonight” and double-Platinum “Ready Set Roll.” In addition to guesting on sold-out arena tours with Kane Brown and Jason Aldean plus stadium shows with Kenny Chesney and Garth Brooks, Rice consistently sells out venues on his own headlining tours, including the Way Down Yonder Tour underway now in support of his new music.

Imperial Tide Announce "Existence in Crisis" EP + Share "R.A.T."

IMPERIAL TIDE  — Landon Hill, vocals; William Barber, guitar; Keene Dadian, guitar; Tanner Galambas, bass; and Russel Schoenbeck, drums — have announced their new EP, Existence in Crisis, out August 18 via Mascot Records.

They have shared the new single "R.A.T." Listen
here

Watch the visualizer below.

"This track echos the sentiment of the entire EP: '..if I light the match, I can set the fire,'" the band says. "This is our spark before we set the world ablaze. The chorus' riff rips, while the punk influenced verses bring a consistent energy that makes you wonder what's next. The song culminates with quite possibly the heaviest moment on the EP, our guitarist Keene's vocals bring a level of grit we haven't touched yet."

As for the EP, the band shares, "Existence in Crisis is the reflection of the world around us, and our space we create in. The songs are a breath of fresh air without re-writing the history of the band. We put the songs together over a period of time that was filled with unrest, personally and socially. We had to say something about what we were seeing and the issues that were so blatantly present. At our core we aren't afraid to ask questions or push back on the things we don't agree with. The EP is our first step into pushing 'Tide in a way that separates us from the standard product that our genre seems to revert to."

Existence In Crisis, the Las Vegas, Nevada, and Los Angeles, California-based band's debut EP for Mascot Records, is an exercise in bombastic creative freedom.

IMPERIAL TIDE follow that lineage with a metallic hardcore-punk assault untethered to genre conventions and ready to smash preconceptions. "We came from the hardcore and metalcore scenes," charismatic frontman Hill explains. "And Las Vegas is different than anywhere else. The city gave us a hustle mindset. You can go there and get lost in the sauce, or you can find your own voice."

The band of five childhood friends, who now call both Las Vegas and Los Angeles home, brandish a hyper-charged, relentless, and adrenalized style. They combine the exuberance of bands like Knocked Loose, the versatility and uncompromising creativity of Code Orange, and the heady depths of Gojira. Like Turnstile, they're masters of melodic perseverance. And their breakdowns are harrowing AF.

From screen-printing their own merch to shooting and editing unique visual components, Imperial Tide built themselves in the hardcore-punk DIY tradition. "We have so many influences when it comes to music and just the different kinds of people we are as individuals," notes Schoenbeck. "We pull from all those things and put ourselves into the music and energy we express."

A "no rules" attitude informs their songwriting process. Sometimes Schoenbeck may start with programmed, hip-hop-style beats, or they'll key in samples. The goal is to make something nostalgic and familiar to audiences, equally inspired, fresh, and distinct from what everyone else is doing.

Daryl Hall’s ‘BeforeAfter’ Compilation on Vinyl for First Time

Daryl Hall’s ‘BeforeAfter’ Compilation on Vinyl for First Time

With more Todd Rundgren Tour dates, Joining Billy Joel in London’s Hyde Park

Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Daryl Hall has an exciting summer lined up on a solo tour with longtime friend and fellow Fame inductee support act, Todd Rundgren, featuring a sold-out gig at the Eventim Apollo in London on July 9 after performing with headliner Billy Joel at the historic American Express BST Hyde Park two days earlier.

BeforeAfter, a three-disc compilation of his solo work, from 1980’s Robert Fripp-produced Sacred Songs through 2011’s Laughing Down Crying, co-produced with his longtime musical director, the late T-Bone Wolk, will be released for the first time on vinyl as a three-album set by Friday Music on May 19.

Compiled and sequenced by Hall, BeforeAfter features 30 tracks spanning all five of his solo albums, featuring six never-released performances from the pathbreaking web and television series Live From Daryl’s House, including a recording of the Eurythmics classic “Here Comes The Rain Again,” performed with longtime Hall compatriot, Dave Stewart, a harmony-laden version of Ruby and The Romantics’ “Our Day Will Come” and “Can We Still be Friends” with tourmate Todd Rundgren.

“I picked this collection of songs from my solo albums because I feel they encapsulate certain periods of my career.” says Hall. “It also shows the diversity of working with collaborators like Robert Fripp or Dave Stewart. And, having some tracks from LFDH on it, really makes the compilation complete.”

Hall’s solo tour gets underway May 24 at the Wellmont Theater in Montclair, NJ, and includes those two sold out shows in the U.K., one joining Billy Joel at Hyde Park, the other with Todd Rundgren at Apollo Eventim.

“So glad to be back playing in London,” said Daryl Hall. “I always have the best shows there.”

Wrote Jeremy Holiday in his BeforeAfter liner notes. “More than a chance to work ‘alone,’ Hall’s individual pursuits have granted him license to be more eclectic in his choice of collaborators and to push further outside the expected bounds.”

CADAVER - ANNOUNCE AGE OF THE OFFENDED + RELEASE MUSIC VIDEO FOR TITLE TRACK

Norwegian death metallers, CADAVER are proud to reveal The Age Of The Offended will be unleashed on July 21, 2023 via Nuclear Blast Records. True to the band’s primitive roots and an audacious, ground-breaking, psychedelic horror-show, the album is an angry, fucked up album for angry, fucked up times, defiantly created against the odds. Today, the band offers fans the first taste of the album with the title track.

Anders Odden comments, "We began working on The Age of the Offended during the pandemic in 2020 and 2021. We aimed to push the boundaries of our music adding all the flavors we like in the mix. We rejoined forces with Eilert Solstad, the bass player from ...In Pains as well as guitar wizard, Ronni Le Tekrø. This collaboration led to an album that sounds out of this world and sends our music into the stratosphere. The theme, The Age Of The offended, is a node to the times we live in. The chaos, conflicts, and turmoil of the human condition will never stop inspiring us. The title track reflects this vision by pointing to the zeitgeist and works as the perfect soundtrack to the current post-apocalyptic world.*

I See Stars Drop New Double Single "Anomaly" + "Drift" and Visualizers via Sumerian Records

I See Stars fans, rejoice! The band has today dropped a new double-single "Anomaly" + "Drift" as well as the accompanying visualizers. Speaking about "Anomaly", lead vocalist Devin Oliver shared:

"This track always sticks with me long after it has finished and, in the end, leaves me feeling both exposed and empowered. Anomaly was created from self-reflection and introspection during a time in my life when I was in and out of the hospital for 2 years battling a rare neurological disorder that led to me to chronic physical pain, headaches, & depression. It’s a powerful reminder to me that the clock is ticking and we must live on our own terms, true to ourselves and our values while battling the feeling of despair that comes when the world seems to be working against you. For a while I was grappling with the regret that I might have missed my opportunity and would be sick forever. No matter what is happening in our lives the most difficult battles we fight are the ones within ourselves. We hope that anomaly is a reminder that when the universe tests you, staying true to yourself is always worth the struggle."

When asked about "Drift", Oliver also commented:

"[This song] nods to the concept of our upcoming album. This song was written to be bipolar by nature, giving you no choice but to surrender to the ebbs and flows of your thoughts and emotions, pulling you in and out of focus. This song highlights a newfound sense of clarity in the wheel that we all submit to. It continues to spin in and out of a dark trip that provokes as it forces us to explore the murky depths of our minds and uncharted territories of our own psyche."

About Dance Gavin Dance

Rejecting tired formulas at every step, Dance Gavin Dance merge progressive rock and post-hardcore with thick groove, brilliantly combining experimental music with hooks and a warped sense of humor. The group has amassed over 1.6 billion global streams, and 1.4 million album equivalent units sold across their catalog in the US alone. With hundreds of thousands of rabid fans engaged with Dance Gavin Dance on socials and their very own festival event, Swanfest, which sold out both its inaugural edition in 2019 and its triumphant, post-pandemic return in 2022 in the band's hometown of Sacramento last April and is now set to hit the East Coast for the first time, it all amounts to a full force band facing a mainstream that has overlooked them for too long.

As the undeniable statistics keep mounting up, the fact becomes more and more clear that Dance Gavin Dance are becoming one of this generation's most popular and enduring forces from the world of heavy music. As Pollstar put it "Sacramento, Calif.-based Dance Gavin Dance is not just any band."

MISCREANCE Shares New Music Video for Song, "The Garden"

Old school technical death metal revivalists MISCREANCE will be reissuing their debut album, 'Convergence,' via Season of Mist on May 19, 2023! The album was originally self-released by the Italian newcomers in in September 2022. The band is now revealing a brand new music video for the song "The Garden," which can be found below.

MISCREANCE comments: "Where the darkest of energy once reigned, a small glimpse of light seemed to made the nebulae converge into a unspeakable form of life. 'Convergence' is a 31-minute long odyssey that narrates how the Miscreance microcosm was born when atoms were still floating into the nothingness, twisting and turning into the evolution process like in its songs structures and giving the world (and beyond) the ultimate experience in Technical Thrash/Death Metal. Prepare for a voyage at the edge of reality that will make your brain cells implode!"

'Convergence' will be re-released on three different colored vinyl as well as CD formats. The record is now available for pre-order
HERE while you can stream it across all digital platforms HERE.

Though many have tried, few bands have successfully replicated the mind-bending technical death metal formula that was established during the genre’s advent by the Godfathers of DEATH. That is until Italy’s Miscreance entered the ring in 2022 with its debut full-length, ‘Convergence.’ Unlike tech death contemporaries who are known for speed and extremity, Miscreance artistry lies within its carefully executed precision, underscoring the focused discipline behind the music’s eloquent complexities.

Miscreance is a project reborn from the ashes of Atomic Massacre. As the former band's members decided to change the course of their stylistic direction, they felt it was time for a rebirth, changing the name as well. In 2018, the band released its first demo, 'From Awareness to Creation,' which was originally co-produced by Red Wine Rites records in Switzerland and limited strictly to 100 copies.

Shortly after the demo release, the band ceased their search for a singer upon realizing that drummer Andrea F. was exactly what they were looking for, so they exhumed three songs from the pre-demo era and recorded a split with death metal grind-crushers Vile Apparition (AUS), released in late 2021.

In 2022, Miscreance made its debut with its first full-length, ‘Convergence,’ which took almost five years to complete. The offering quickly garnered the attention of Season of Mist, who formed a union with the emerging band and is now reissuing the full-length for worldwide distribution as the old school tech death revivalists prepare to unleash a sophomore offering onto the masses.

Starbenders Drop New Single + Visualizer "Sex" via Sumerian Records

Atlanta, GA rock n' rollers Starbenders have unveiled their new single "Sex" and the accompanying visualizer (via Sumerian Records). Speaking about the track, vocalist and songwriter Kimi Shelter commented:

"I almost viewed the story of the song playing out like a simulation, a video game. The goal of the game? Get some and don’t get burned. I tend to feel a lot of longing to be one of those seemingly light footed people that dance around all of the heaviness of meaning and consequence. As with most romanticization, I realize that the grass isn’t greener but it’s fun to play with in my mind. The poet has gone rogue."

Watch the visualizer for "Sex"  below, or stream the track here, and be sure to keep your eyes peeled for more Starbenders news coming very soon.

Starbenders are a rock-n-roll dream come true for every hard-luck dreamer occupying this third stone from the sun. Singer/songwriter Kimi Shelter is the love child Johnny Thunders and Joan Jett should have had, raised with an impeccable education from Blondie Elementary School, Def Leppard High, Bowie College, and a Ph.D from Siouxie Sioux University in Fuck All Y’all. Aaron Lecesne brings ripping bass lines, vivid musicality, fashionista chic, and lightning-rod stage energy. Kriss Tokajiis the literal embodiment of a Guitar Adonis whose fretboard mastery easily places him at the pinnacle of today’s young guns, a legend in the making. Then we have Emily Moon, the siren behind the drums, channeling her spiritual father (and namesake), Keith Moon, in a gorgeous tornado of sound and fury. This band has toured the world with everyone from Alice In Chains to Palaye Royale, destroying the entire house every time. They’ve issued twenty-six releases in eight years - singles, EPs, and LPs, including their 2020 full-length, Love Potions, for Sumerian Records. Another album’s worth of new material is currently awaiting release. With a work ethic as relentless as their fabulous vision, there is much more magic yet to come. Elle King to Release "Jersey Giant" to Radio; Joins Tyler Childers at Radio City Music Hall 8/2, 8/3

Last year when Tyler Childers’ record label asked him what artist he would want to record “Jersey Giant,” an old live song getting some fresh attention, he had only one name – Elle King. Featured on her critically acclaimed Come Get Your Wife album released earlier this year, “Jersey Giant” is set to impact multiple radio formats next week including Americana, Triple A and non-commercial radio, and is available to all formats via Play MPE. Co-produced by King, the song is already generating more than 500,000 streams per week with more than 20 million global streams since release.

“I was so humbled when Tyler asked me to record the song,” said King. “And then earlier this year he surprised my fans and joined me on stage in Lexington, KY. That was a badass moment for me personally.”

Since she burst onto the music scene in 2014 with her breakout hit “Ex’s & Oh’s,” King has topped the Billboardcharts in four genres, most recently with the smash hit “Drunk (And I Don’t Want To Go Home)” with Miranda Lambert.

Her genre-melding songs have always been at the center of her music. The Guardian said in a 2015 review, that King is “steeped in every genre of vintage Americana – sassy rock’n’roll, vampy R&B, country sadness and a little blues.” Of her recent album, People Magazine noted, “…The ‘Ex’s & Oh’s’ singer – who’s always been a little bit country, a little bit rock and roll – planted herself in Nashville. But she hasn’t lost her edge.”

When King’s version of “Jersey Giant” dropped late last year, Whiskey Riff said, “In terms of the production, it sounds great, with Elle taking over lead and background vocals, in addition to playing some acoustic guitar. The great Charlie Worsham also lends his voice for backing vocals, in addition to playing acoustic guitar, mandolin and banjo.” Saving Country Music added, “But the genius of Elle King’s version of ‘Jersey Giant’ is the reservation she displays in her performance. Sufficed to say, this thing is pretty great.”

King’s A-Freakin-Men Tour, Presented by Slow & Low wrapped earlier this year to sold-out crowds and rave reviews. She has a jam-packed summer playing festivals, amphitheaters and arenas across the country performing with artists including Eric Church, Melissa Ethridge, Jelly Roll and Dierks Bentley. She joins Childers on his 2023 Send in the Hounds Tour at Radio City Music Hall in New York City on August 2nd and 3rd.

Wyoming native and Warner Music Nashville recording artist Ian Munsick arrived in Music City Tuesday (May 16), bringing White Buffalo – his free-spirited, awe-inspiring portrait of the American West – centerstage at Ryman Auditorium for his sold-out debut.

Opening with the tongue-in-cheek, uptempo first track “From the Horse’s Mouth,” Munsick traversed through each of the 18 songs on the project. Looking out at the electrified crowd with awe, Munsick expressed his appreciation, stating “Thank you guys, first and foremost, Nashville for believing in me. I know that what I do doesn’t necessarily fit the mold, but I’m trying to break the mold.”

Pausing halfway through the set, Munsick delivered a stripped-down performance of “Long Haul” off his debut album Coyote Cry, which received RIAA Gold-certification alongside “Long Live Cowgirls” – his hit duet featuring Cody Johnson which has reeled in nearly 100 million streams – during an industry reception ahead of the show.

Introducing the song, Munsick shared the news with the crowd. “About an hour ago, my label Warner Music had a party backstage and they gave me a plaque because my song ‘Long Live Cowgirls’ went gold,” he shared. “To my surprise, they gave me another plaque because it turns out ‘Long Haul’ just went gold as well. Now, neither of these songs were on the radio very often. That just means that you guys made these songs go gold all by yourselves. So thank you for listening to my music – it’s because of you that I get to be on this stage and I could never thank you guys enough.”

After completing the album’s tracklist with “Indian Paintbrush,” the ecstatic crowd began stomping their feet, demanding to hear his stampeding breakthrough hit “Horses Are Faster,” which inspired Munsick to move to Nashville and pursue his music career. After concluding his set with “Horses Are Faster” to astounding applause and a standing ovation, Munsick appeared for a special encore performance of one of his first recordings, a cover of Wade Montgomery's “Weakness,” alongside The Munsick Boys comprised of his father Dave and brothers, Tris and Sam Munsick.

Addressing his family, he concluded, “You guys taught me everything I know about playing music, entertaining, being a cowboy – and most importantly being a man. Thank you to our beautiful wives. Girlfriends. Daughters. Sons. My mother, of course… Trudy Munsick. This last song we’re going to do is a song that was written by a Native American cowboy in Montana by the name of Wade Montgomery, and I can’t think of a better song to end it on because this song is about as Western as it gets.”

Tuesday’s show concluded Munsick’s headlining Long Live Cowgirls Tour which sold out across the country, with highlights including stops in New Braunfels, TX; Baton Rouge, LA; and Denver, CO; and his first sold-out arena shows in Clive, IA; Ralston, NE; and Billings, MT.

About Ian Munsick:
A native son of Wyoming, Ian Munsick is painting a stampeding, spirited portrait of the American West with his sophomore album White Buffalo, out now. The 18-track album spans unfiltered tales of romance and ranch life, hard-working anthems with honkytonk hooks and mountain-time odes to family and forever-young fun. It builds upon the spacious roots-pop beauty he introduced on his major label debut, Coyote Cry. Over the past three years, the 29-year-old has accumulated nearly half a billion global streams and a host of accolades. He has been named an “Artist to Watch” by Spotify, CMT, Fender, MusicRow and more. A seasoned entertainer, having grown up tending cattle by day and playing music in a family band each night, Munsick toured recently alongside country music superstars Morgan Wallen and Cody Johnson. Beyond his noteworthy professional accomplishments, he has also become both a husband and a father. Now the Warner Music Nashville recording artist and multi-instrumentalist is representing his home, and its special cast of people, like never before. The first release from White Buffalo, standout duet “Long Live Cowgirls” (with Cody Johnson), hit No. 1 on SiriusXM’s The Highway Hot 30 Countdown, was named one of Amazon Music’s Best Country Songs of 2022 and recently received RIAA Gold-certification alongside “Long Haul” off his debut album Coyote Cry. Fans of Ian Munsick will always find an open heart, natural awe and plainspoken honesty as he rides on… bringing the West to the rest.

Off Road Minivan Share "Victim Complex" — LISTEN

MAY THIS KEEP YOU SAFE FROM HARM OUT JUNE 23 VIA TOOTH & NAIL

Hudson Valley, NY-based quartet Off Road Minivan, featuring Fit For a King bassist Ryan "Tuck" O'Leary, will release their second album May This Keep You Safe From Harm on June 23 via Tooth & Nail Records. Pre-order it
here.

Today, the band has shared "Victim Complex." Listen
below.

"'Victim Complex' is about a person I was friends with for 18 years. I learned a lot from him, and he was partly the reason why I got in Fit For A King. However, the same individual did a lot of shit. His personality is extreme, and a lot of people can take it or leave it. Eventually, everyone left. He has a 'Victim Complex,'" says O'Leary.

Off Road Minivan, whose lineup is rounded out by Evan Garcia Renart, Miles Taylour Sweeny, and Mike Planko, came to life in 2018 with the Spiral Gaze EP. On its heels, 2020's full-length debut, Swan Dive, immediately captivated audiences. Throughout the past three years, the band members wrote and sent ideas back-and-forth. Simultaneously, they stitched together a throughline carried by the real-life interviews with members of Tuck's family.

"I've been secretly recording my family for at least a-year-and-a-half, including the voice clips from my grandmother, who was the first," Tuck says. "I'd listen back later and find the right part I needed for the album. I essentially wanted to preserve these moments forever. I got my mom, dad, sister, grandmother, brother-in-law, nephew, best friend, and wife on tape. Now, I'll have it all on vinyl format for the rest of my life."

As for the album's title, it's also rooted in the familial.

"When my grandfather joined the military and was going off to war, my grandma gave him a bible with a metal cover," reveals Tuck. "On the front, it said, 'May this keep you safe from harm.' Even if you got shot in the heart, the bible would protect you. When I first started touring, different family members gave me mementos to feel safe on the road. The bible was from my grandmother. Now, I've got it tattooed on my chest, so I don't have to bring the original with me. All of this is about preservation of time. It's a way to document some of my most fragile moments and share the delicate, untouched vulnerable side of myself maybe you haven't experienced from Fit For a King. It's the other swing of the pendulum."

Rolo Tomassi's recent album, Where Myth Becomes Memory, serves as a culmination of a period of creativity that has exalted the band to their loftiest status so far, with a singular vision where the most savage, unhinged sonics can co-exist harmoniously with epic cinematic elegance.

About the album, Metal Injection said, “The magnitude of Rolo Tomassi's musicality is matched only by how precisely each element shines through," while Brooklyn Vegan said, "As is always the case with this band, the possibilities seem endless."

6/7/23: Albuquerque, NM - Launchpad

6/17/23: San Francisco, CA - Neck of the Woods
6/19/23: Portland, OR - Star Theater

Rolo Tomassi have spent 17 years leading the pack rather than following and on their recent album, Where Myth Becomes Memory, they've led with more poise and determination than ever before. The album served as the final part in an unintended trilogy that began with 2015’s Grievances and continued with 2018’s Time Will Die And Love Will Bury It.

EVIDENCE OF A STRUGGLE presents oscillating moody single 'Bisquee' + 'Kiss Me (Goodbye' by LA's BEAU;TY IN CHAOS with Leeds-born JULIAN SHAH-TAYLER

"Wonderfully cinematic, forward-thinking, open-minded, genre-hopping, rule-breaking... a symphony of sonics, subtlety and suppleness, and of the subverting of expectations. Not to mention a fantastic musical experience" ~ Big Takeover Magazine

"'Combines the coolness of electric jazz, Krautrock-inspired post-rock and atmospheric art rock, offering a gripping and upbeat, yet refined, sound and thoughtful arrangement with sonic prowess" ~
Amplify Music Magazine

Chicago-based
Evidence of a Struggle presents 'Bisquee', the moody oscillating third single from their forthcoming 13-track eponymous album, to be released on June 9.

The accompanying video is the newest offering from a six-chapter audio-visual storybook, created by Chicago artist
John Airo, who has been involved with this project since the outset - creating videos, album covers and accompanying visuals for live performances.

This engaging off-kilter post-rock offering follows the cinematic debut single
'Do'Oa', a wonderful fusion of Tortoise and Dif Juz, and 'Alan's Song' - the sound of fear, beauty and hubris. The sound of a beautifully crumbling grand distraction.

Surrounding the musings of multi-instrumentalist William P C Simmons V a.k.a. Rev. Billy Simmons, Evidence of a Struggle is an evolving group of artists and musicians whose sonic creations may lead you to the center of the darkness or just might unfurl the universe before you with lush, cinematic, beautiful, and sometimes chaotic compositions.

"There is so much attached to these songs, musically, visually and emotionally. I don’t think there’s an inch within The Glue Factory that hasn't been touched by literal blood, sweat, or tears. I believe that Evidence of a Struggle is natural in creating all art," says Rev. Billy.

"I’m reluctant to explain what these songs or animations “mean” The music and the art says different things to different people. The music says exactly what it needs to. I want to encourage the listener and the viewer to let these compositions speak to them as they spoke to me when I was writing and recording them or to John when he was painting or creating the animations. This objective tangible art we make becomes subjective the minute we release it to the world. Enjoy this, and try to hear what it has to say."

Evidence of a Struggle began in 2020 during lockdowns. This ambitious effort sees Rev. Billy play every instrument – guitar, drums, piano, synth and violin - recorded and engineered from his home studio, The Glue Factory. With Covid restrictions lifted, he began working with
Sanford Parker (Voivod, Russian Circles, Yob, Eyehategod, Wovenhand, Darkthrone, Youth Code, Pelican), who helped produce and record the final versions of the songs for this record, as well as mastering.

Shaped by a wealth of records inherited from his older sisters and their boyfriends, coupled with a childhood of playing piano and clarinet until his first guitar acquisition at 16, Rev. Billy was quick to start playing with touring bands. After honing his craft and gaining invaluable experience, he elected to study music performance and guitar at Wichita State University, coupled with two and three-dimensional arts and silversmithing.

Noticed for his unique style and songcrafting, various musicians and labels began to notice Rev. Billy's talent, and he ultimately had to choose between university and music. Beginning with RCA recording artist Ké, Simmons also wrote songs and played guitar for other artists on major record labels like RCA, Touch and Go, BMG and Universal.

In 2023,
Matt Walker (of1000faces, Smashing Pumpkins, Morrissey, Garbage, Filter) became involved in this project, playing drums and helping with production with Matt's brother Solomon Walker (Morrissey, Bryan Adams, Eastern Shadows, Year of the Rabbit) and Alan Berliant (Chris Connelly, Mavis Staples, Saint Asonia) also contributing bass.

Apart from music, Rev. Billy also owns
Rev. Billy's Chop Shop, known for high-quality haircuts, friendly, welcoming atmosphere and its inclusive, creative space. Hosting new artists' work bimonthly, Chicago Reader declared this to be the city's best gallery in 2019. A staple in the Chicago community, Rev. Billy's Chop Shop is as strong a passion as his music.

As of May 18, 'Bisquee' is available via
SpotifyApple Music and Bandcamp, where the full 'Evidence of a Struggle' album (out June 9) can already be pre-ordered.

Brooklyn lounge-chill artist
Roman Angelos and electronic producer Scott Solter(St. Vincent, Maps & Atlases, Spoon, Superchunk, The Mountain Goats). have released their collaborative record 'Supermarkets, Underwater' via London label Happy Robots Records.

Roman Angelos will be touring select UK cities in June with label-mate
Rodney Cromwell. Tickets for performances in London, Coventry, Reading and Todmorden can be obtained at www.happyrobots.co.uk/tickets.

The new album is a fully reimagined set of remixes of Roman Angelos' 2022 album
'Music For Underwater Supermarkets', a 9-track offering that combines electronica and exotica, painting a sonic dreamscape that transposes the mundane act of grocery shopping to an aquatic utopian landscaping.

Here, Solter flips the script by transforming the bouncy and upbeat material of the original album into a darker and more ambient landscape.  Weaving in noise and shifting electronic percussion, it’s an entirely new record. Listeners dive deeper into unknown waters, no longer shopping alongside the friendly fish.

Exploring Roman's obsession with the library and soundtrack music, with unfashionable sonic influences from Burt Bacharach to Vangelis, this record was brilliantly received with Electronic Sound Magazine describing it as “an album of splendid vibes”.

Roman Angelos is the nom de plume of Brooklyn-based producer, composer and multi-instrumentalist Rich Bennett, developed as a vehicle to explore his obsession with library recordings of the 60's and 70s, muzak and exotica. Exotic, dreamy, and wistful, this is the sound of a jazz sextet as channeled through synths and drum machines, creating a spacey feel.

Lead track
'Swimming Through The Aisles (Teeming Mix)', along with a special live performance version of the remix.  It uses the same irregular time signature and feel of the original, but adds in tremolo vibraphones, reverse guitars, and electronic drums, giving the music a new feel of exploration.

The original recordings were produced by
Rich Bennett at Acme Hall Studios in Brooklyn and were recorded live to tape, all together in one room, by Colin Marston (Jarboe, Sailors With Wax Wings).

Beyond the world of library electronica, Rich Bennett has been involved in a diverse group of musical projects, including the newly reunited outsider / 60s proto-punk group The Shaggs, dream pop outfit Mahogany, and Brazilian funk group Limoncello, in addition to production work with Stereolab's Morgane Lhote (aka Hologram Teen).

Roman’s previous releases for Happy Robots have gained praise from Electronic Sound Magazine, Hi-Fi World, Shindig! Magazine, The Electricity Club, Freq and The Haunted Generation, as well as BBC6 Music radio play from Gideon Coe, Cerys Matthews and Stuart Maconie’s Freak Zone, plus Bob Fisher (BBC Tees).

'Supermarkets, Underwater' is out now, available everywhere digitally, including
Spotify, Apple Music and Bandcamp. Released by Happy Robots Records with distribution by Cargo Records, the CD version will be available exclusively via the label's Bandcamp.

Within Temptation Share New Single "Wireless"

After appearing in 2022 as Iron Maiden's special guest during their North American Tour and embarking on their highly anticipated "Worlds Collide Tour" – a massive European co-headline tour together with Evanescence and for which they've sold close to 200,000 tickets, 2023 is set to be even a bigger year for WITHIN TEMPTATION.

The brand new single "Wireless," out today, marks the start of the countdown to the much-anticipated release of their eighth studio album, due later this year.

A fiery and heavy song, "Wireless" marks the start of a new era for the band — one in which they keep their DNA alive but build even further upon their acclaimed sound with powerful riffs, contemporary breakdowns, and epic choruses. Lyrically, the band is also unafraid to tackle a number of important political and social issues that exist in the world today, and this single takes aim at those who, hungry for war and turmoil, manipulate and control the media.

Sharon den Adel says, "'Wireless' is a song about a soldier who goes to war convinced that he is going for a good cause. He's indoctrinated by government-controlled media and thinks he's going to be welcomed back as a savior, only to find out he has been used. This has resulted in people seeing him as a brutal conqueror instead and now, he finds himself on the wrong side. His life and the lives of many are deceived and destroyed."

"Wireless" is set to be become an instant fan favorite and hopefully will feature in the band's forthcoming festival appearances across Europe this summer, including a long-awaited return to Download Festival in the UK on June 9 and Download Festival Germany on June 23, as well as Hellfest in France on June 17.

Be prepared — a new Within Temptation album is coming… and a whole lot more!

Audio Karate Drop First New Song in Nearly 20 Years With "A Show of Hands"

California's melodic-punk outfit Audio Karate return with their first studio recordings in almost 20 years!

The band reunited in early 2018 following the reissue of their two classic LPs Space Camp and Lady Melody. They later released two albums worth of previously unreleased material on Malo and ¡Otra! and got back on the road for festival appearances and playing with the likes of Descendents and other punk legends. The band quickly realized that playing together was an important part of their lives, and they went into the studio to record the new song "
A Show of Hands" in 2022, while also re-recording their song "A Monster in Disguise," adding some much needed production work, making it a much more powerful song.

This limited edition 7-inch EP is being presented by Iodine Recordings, which includes beautiful artwork by Jeff Caudill (Gameface) and photography from the studio and recent tour dates, and was mastered by Jack Shirley (Joyce Manor, Jeff Rosenstock). These songs showcase the power, and precision of Audio Karate's songwriting, which masterfully strikes a balance of hyper-melodic punk rock, emo, and post-hardcore.

It's out June 30. Pre-order it
here.

"'A Show of Hands' is our first recording of the modern era, recorded at New Monkey Studio (previously Elliot Smith's studio) in late 2021," says guitarist Jason Camacho. "Pandemic stuff had made it so we hadn't been in a room together in a minute and we were beyond happy with the outcome. Instantly recognizable as an Audio Karate song, it blends elements of everything one would expect from AK, rolling bass lines, hummable riffs, rusty nail gargled vocals, and catchy hooks."
