Whiskey Myers Announce Eighth Annual Wiggy Thump Festival Set for April 25, 2026

Multi-Platinum band Whiskey Myers return to their roots with the eighth annual Wiggy Thump Festival set for April 25, 2026 in Palestine, Texas. Featuring performances by the hometown hosts themselves as well as Stoney LaRue, The Band Feel and 79 South, this year’s event continues the tradition of supporting the local Anderson County Youth Livestock Association and builds upon the more than $250,000 raised for the cause to date. Tickets are on sale now via WhiskeyMyers.com

The announcement follows Whiskey Myers’ seventh studio album release, Whomp Whack Thunder, hailed by Rolling Stone as “their most supercharged album yet” that “sounds on the whole like an invigorated, freewheeling rock band in its prime,” as the genre-defying independent band delivers the sweat and soul that have defined their career.

Along with the 11-track album, 2025 comprised a year of live shows including the East Texas band’s What We Were Born To Do Tour, the Live in 25 Tour co-headlined with the Tedeschi Trucks Band, the band’s own personally-curated Moon Crush “Whiskey Moon” music vacation in Miramar Beach, Fla., acoustic shows via Whiskey Myers & Friends, along with appearances at Stagecoach Music Festival, Talladega Superspeedway and “The Kelly Clarkson Show.”

Fans catching Whiskey Myers in 2026 can expect to hear the six-man-band’s signature powerhouse sound elevated with their newest album, Whomp Whack Thunder

About Whiskey Myers
Genre-bending band Whiskey Myers have played nearly 3,000 live shows to ever-increasing crowd sizes since their emergence in 2007. In addition to headlining their own sold-out shows from coast to coast at iconic venues such as Red Rocks Amphitheatre and Ryman Auditorium, plus performing at marquee festivals Bonnaroo, Stagecoach, Download and more, the six-piece was also personally selected to open The Rolling Stones’ Chicago stadium show. The band is poised to begin their next chapter with their highly-anticipated seventh studio album Whomp Whack Thunder, available now via the band’s own Wiggy Thump Records, with lead single “Time Bomb” climbing the Active Rock radio charts. Their previous project, Tornillo, featured the No. 17 most-played Americana song of 2022, “John Wayne,” and followed breakthrough album Whiskey Myers, which debuted at No. 1 on both the Country and Americana/Folk sales charts, at No. 2 on the Rock chart and No. 6 on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart (No. 3 among new releases). In total, Whiskey Myers have sold more than 2.7 million albums and amassed over 4.1 billion streams while earning nine RIAA Gold, Platinum and multi-Platinum certifications as an independent band. Known for their high-energy live show and unique sound, the band praised by Esquire as “the real damn deal” has also earned sync success with features in Paramount’s hit shows “Yellowstone” (including an on-screen performance) and “Landman,” plus Netflix series “What/If,” Angelina Jolie film “Those Who Wish Me Dead” and CBS series “SEAL Team,” among others. USA Today describes their sound as “a riff-heavy blend of Southern rock and gritty country that has earned comparisons to the Allman Brothers Band and Led Zeppelin,” with Rolling Stone noting “it’s the seminal combination of twang and crunchy rock & roll guitars that hits a perfect sweet spot.”

A.A. WILLIAMS Releases New Single “Just A Shadow” and Announces Signing to Reigning Phoenix Music

Reigning Phoenix Music (RPM) proudly announces the signing of acclaimed singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist A.A. WILLIAMS, whose work blends haunting melody with a distinctly heavy edge. This marks a powerful new chapter in the artist’s evolution. To inaugurate the partnership, WILLIAMS unveils her new single “Just A Shadow”, a work of stark intimacy and emotional gravity. The new single appears alongside a striking animated video by Costin Chioreanu, which can be viewed Below.

“Just A Shadow” descends into the quiet ache between light and dark, where WILLIAMS’ evocative voice becomes both a confession and a companion. It is an elegy for the self you cannot escape, a meditation on the beauty and terror of one’s own reflection. Rather than banishing the darkness, WILLIAMS meets it with open eyes in an act of understanding, an embrace of what shapes us, scars us, and ultimately helps define us.

In WILLIAMS’ own words: “‘Just A Shadow’ is an ode to the darkness inside. A part of you since you can remember, a cruel friend lurking just outside of view. A presence that you’ve accepted, its familiarity brings cold comfort. You’ve tried to resist it and step into the light, but you’re scared that you’re nothing without the dark.”

RPM co-founder Gerardo Martinez celebrates both the new release and the label’s partnership with WILLIAMS: “A.A. WILLIAMS is one of the most compelling voices in contemporary music. She is unafraid to explore vulnerability with a rare poetic depth. We’re honored to welcome her to the RPM family, and ‘Just A Shadow’ is a stunning introduction to what we’ll build together.”

“Just a Shadow” lands before her highly anticipated 2026 UK and EU tour. The tour kicks off on January 27 in Norwich and continues across the UK and Europe through March 7. Tickets are available HERE

About A.A. WILLIAMS:

Having made her debut live appearance at the prestigious Roadburn Festival in the Netherlands off the back of a self-titled EP, A.A. WILLIAMS has since toured across the globe with the likes of CULT OF LUNA, EXPLOSIONS IN THE SKY, RUSSIAN CIRCLES, SLEEP TOKEN and THE SISTERS OF MERCY, as well as establishing herself as a headline artist - including a show at the iconic Queen Elizabeth Hall inside London’s Southbank Centre.

Standout festival appearances have dovetailed with two album releases - 2020’s Forever Blue and 2022’s As The Moon Rests, which both received widespread critical acclaim and put A.A. WILLIAMS firmly in the slipstream of the wave of female vocalists taking textured, epic and folk-rooted heavy music into new and progressive directions. A BBC session at the legendary Maida Vale Studios only bolstered WILLIAMS’ credentials.

Not one to rest on her laurels, she has also released a selection of ‘companion pieces’ - a collaborative single with Japanese post-rock titans MONO (“Exit In Darkness”); a solo covers collection recorded during 2020’s pandemic lockdown — Songs From Isolation — that garnered praise from THE CURE’s Robert Smith and SMASHING PUMPKINS' Billy Corgan for her unique take on their original songs; and perhaps most impressively, 2021’s arco saw the multi-instrumentalist completely rework her debut EP from rock instrumentation to a string ensemble, utilising her classical training and arrangement skills to stunning effect.

With new label partner Reigning Phoenix Music, 2026 will serve as a major milestone for A.A. WILLIAMS.

NJ Native + Former HxCx Concert Promoter Heath Miller Resurrects Fyre Festival + Supports Honduran Tourism

PHNX rising from the ashes of the doomed FYRE FESTIVAL is a story you never expected.

Heath Miller, one of the key behind-the-scenes forces who helped turn the 2025 Fyre Festival in Honduras into a fully executed, wildly talked-about cultural moment — and, in his words, "the most epic, never done before, tourism marketing campaign ever" — is a former New Jersey hard rock concert promoter and VP and talent buyer at NYC's famed Webster Hall, where he booked everyone from Metallica to Nine Inch Nails. He is also known for booking some of My Chemical Romance's first-ever shows.

If anyone has the know-how (and, well, the cajones) to reboot FYRE, it's Miller.

While the world is buzzing about the festival's improbable comeback, what's still untold is how it actually happened — and how a remote island like Utila became the unlikely center of global attention. It's that story that can only be told by Heath Miller.

Miller can discuss the production blueprint that brought Fyre Festival to Utila and made it work — the logistics, the innovation, and the "quiet genius" puzzle-pieces put in place long before the headline moment, as well as The Coral View Beach Resort connection — how the festival became a spotlight moment for the resort, and why he sees it as the catalyst for a new era of tourism on Utila.

He can also address the French Montana plane incident and how he and Billy coordinated the solution that ensured talent was able to get where they needed to go, turning a potential fiasco into a power move for the island's visibility.

While many non-believers and naysayers have questioned the success of the event, Miller and his wife have also been the target of harassment via his social media accounts.

But he remains undeterred.

Ultimately, though, Miller has a bigger mission: Using the global attention to push forward a long-needed conversation about Utila's airport infrastructure — whether through government momentum or private investment — to make the island safer, more accessible, and better equipped for future headline-driving events.

Are you ready for the real, full-fledged Fyre Festival story — the one that didn't collapse, but instead re-ignited an entire destination?

Heath Miller is available for press opportunities.

ABOUT HEATH MILLER:
Heath Miller’s career has been primarily in the music industry as a concert promoter and event producer.  Over the course of his career, he has produced thousands of concerts and events in the tri-state area, under Excess dB Entertainment, Metropolitan Talent, and various venues he worked in-house. Venues he has booked and produced concerts and events include Webster Hall, Madison Square Garden, The Beacon Theater, Hammerstein Ballroom, United Palace and many others.

As Vice President of Concerts at Webster Hall in New York City, Heath was responsible for developing their in-house concert department, along with overseeing and booking the venue's concerts. During his time at Webster Hall, he impressively increased Webster Hall's ranking from #11 to #2 for club-sized venues worldwide ticket sales, guiding them to winning Nightclub of the Year at the 2017 Pollstar Awards.  Heath has been active in the consulting space, consulting for music technology companies such as Bandsintown, 23/7 Global, and BlockParty.

In addition to concert booking and promotion, Heath's diverse experience includes over 10 years of non-profit work with Safe Horizon on their Leadership Council and The James Beard Foundation on their Young Professionals Committee. He has consistently been one of the top donation generations for both committees.

Heath has leveraged his non-profit experience along with his marketing and logistics experience from the event industry to form Support Utila.

UADA + MORTIIS Announce North American Co-Headliner for 'Devoid of Light' and 'Smell of Rain' Anniversaries

Enigmatic black metal horde UADA and industrial metal artist MORTIIS have teamed up for a very special co-headliner, featuring exclusive anniversary sets and supporting performances by Jerome Reuter’s ROME and WRAITH KNIGHT. UADA will be performing their seminal 2016 debut album 'Devoid of Light' in its entirety + a special CERMONIAL CASTINGS 30-year anniversary set featuring Wraith Knight. In addition, MORTIIS shall be performing songs from his groundbreaking 2001 full-length, 'The Smell Of Rain,' along with other volumes of dystopian despair.

The artist pre-sale starts today, December 11, at 2:00 P.M. local time using the code 'COLDMOON'. General on-sale will be Friday, December 12, at 10:00 A.M. local time. Tickets can be found HERE.

UADA comments, "It has been a profound honor to play a central role in assembling this distinctive and richly diverse touring package. The line-up carries deep personal history and influence for me, while also embodying some of the most cherished milestones of my own musical journey.

"As someone who has always appreciated the artistry of thoughtfully mixed bills—an approach that feels increasingly rare in today’s landscape—this particular combination is especially meaningful and should deliver a strikingly unique, yet cohesive experience for those in attendance.

"Above all, this tour is my gift to the fans: an opportunity to witness a moment that may never come again, to discover extraordinary talents they might not yet know, and to share an evening that I sincerely hope will live on as an unforgettable memory."

MORTIIS adds, "While creating and uncreating, sometimes composing, and occasionally violently invoking, the music and sounds that are set to be my new album, it is growing increasingly apparent to me, that I am occasionally calling upon some old ghosts of the past.

I can hear (sometimes clearly, other times faintly) some musical echoes from The 'Smell Of Rain' days, not to mention new sounds of the blurry, faint, but unmistakably strange, future, that is yet to unfold.

"It seems natural to me, to now unearth several of the songs from 'The Smell Of Rain' (and other music, of similar dispirit!) as a first step into the bleak dystopian dreamscapes Mortiis appears to be heading into from here on out.

"So here I am, clawing through a quarter century old recordings, preparing for 2026."

EPICA - unveil new single 'Avatar - The Final Incarnation - ' in support of their upcoming European Tour

Symphonic metal titans EPICA proudly release their explosive new single 'Avatar – The Final Incarnation – ', a track that deals with the final incarnation (Avatar) to rid the world of unrighteousness and restore truth and purity. The single is accompanied by a stunning visualizer featuring artwork taken directly from the band’s forthcoming EPICA Oracle Card Set, launching worldwide on January 7th.

Stream the song of 'Avatar – The Final Incarnation – ' (created by Dave Letelier), here: https://epica.bfan.link/avatar-the-final-incarnation

Watch the video Below;

Mark Jansen shares insight into the inspiration behind the track:
“In Hindu philosophy, Kalki represents the final avatar who restores balance at the end of the age. That idea of breaking free from cycles—through self-realization, detachment from desires, and inner transformation—resonates deeply with me. ‘Avatar’ channels that journey toward liberation, something both powerful and universal.”

Simone Simons adds:
“We absolutely can’t wait to kick off the European tour. Sharing the stage with our incredible fans night after night is the heartbeat of what we do, and this new song will definitely warm you up for the journey we’re about to take together.”

From January till March, EPICA will embark on 'The Arcane Dimensions' European Tour with Amaranthe and Charlotte Wessels’ The Obsession, that brings three of the genre’s most dynamic forces together for an unforgettable live experience. See the full list of dates below and grab your tickets now!

But more is more: On January 7th, the band will release the 'Aspiral Oracle', a beautifully crafted deluxe boxset containing a 12 card oracle deck (one card per song title and one extra artist card called ‘The Map’), a handbook with an in-depth rulesheet and a stunning incense holder, all designed and sculpted by Hedi Xandt who previously created the artwork for Aspiral. This boxset is a true must have that will give you deeper insights into the meaning of all the Aspiral songs, but can also serve as a tool that can give you guidance in your personal journey.

About EPICA:

The journey of growth follows a spiral, continuously widening and deepening with every cycle.

By sticking to this spiritual principle, symphonic metal innovators EPICA have reinvented themselves on their ninth effort Aspiral, releasing a studio album that shows a band brimming with a newfound joy in their own skin – standing united as a team, where every band member brought inspiration, ideas and years of songwriting experience to the table.

Aspiral bears testimony to this unity, but the band’s steep ascent within the past years was far from coincidental and required lots of hard work and combination of things happening after the release of their latest album Omega in the midst of a raging pandemic. After walking several steps off their usual path with their EP The Alchemy Project which saw them collaborating with artists such as MyrkurFleshgod Apocalypse or Uriah Heep, the band played a massive world tour and got invited by a certain band called Metallica for several dates, and played 4 sold out “Symphonic Synergy” shows with a massive orchestra and choir.

After diving deep into hypothetical theories, metaphysical mysticism and themes that were touching the fabric of our existence in the infinity of the universe, EPICA ’s 9th studio effort Aspiral centres on the work of sculptor Stanisław Szukalski. During the first Covid lockdown, bassist Rob van der Loo saw the documentary ‘Struggle – The Life And Lost Art Of Stanislav Szukalski’ and felt so inspired by his work that he wanted to write soundtracks for some of his sculptures, simply because each and every detail in his works are artworks on their own and their stories go very deep. And this is where the path started. Aspiral was born as an instrumental soundtrack to this world, an initially separate project that over time metamorphosed into the new EPICA record.

The title comes from a bronze statue Szukalski did in 1965. If you take a close look, you can see snails rebuilding elements out of the mud in cycles and this eventually leads to civilization and a woman reaching out to the sun. It stands for renewal and inspiration – keywords that define EPICA now.

For more than 20 years now, EPICA  have been standing tall. And while already their last efforts clearly showcased their commitment to the game, it is Aspiral that truly distils the very heart of their trademark sound.

Former Montrose lead singer and event producer, Keith St John says new iconic names are being added to the line-up literally every day. St John was with Montrose for the last 13 years of Ronnie’s life. The band was on top of the charts in the 1970s when Sammy Hagar was vocalist, with tunes like Rock Candy, Bad Motor Scooter and Rock the Nation. When St John teamed up with Montrose they continued to entertain until right before his death, filling clubs and festivals around the world. St John wrote many unreleased tunes with Ronnie Montrose, some performed at concerts throughout their years together.

It has been 10 years since the first RMR memorial celebration took place and St John wants this special anniversary edition of the show to be as scintillating as the first. “Ronnie’s contribution to rock music in the early 70’s was the Rock n Roll bible for many of the up and coming great American rock guitarists for the next two decades more than he probably ever realized or gave himself credit for.  I really want to give those who really appreciate Ronnie the chance to get together in a loving dynamic concert setting where we can all really dig in and enjoy each other through the commonality of Ronnie’s music,” St John remarks.

Guitarist Doug Aldrich of Whitesnake, Dio, and Dead Daisies fame who will be performing at this event says this of Montrose:

"I first heard Montrose's debut record ('The Great 8') when I was around 15 years old. The first thing that came to my head was that their sound was really tough. It's sturdy and solid rock 'n' roll, and without a doubt the guitar playing is unique and incredible. Montrose influenced a lot of people and inspired a lot of people. I was definitely one of them."

Full details can be found at the event’s website www.ronniemontroseremembered.com

Updates to the performer list are being made daily on St John’s Instagram page, https://www.instagram.com/keith_st_john/ and on the event’s Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/RonnieMontroseRemembered

Piebald's "If It Weren't For Venetian Blinds..." to Be Released on Vinyl Via Iodine Recordings

Before PIEBALD were known for their anthemic sing-alongs and offbeat charm, there was ...Venetian Blinds, an evolution from hardcore roots into something uniquely their own with all of their trademark chaos and cleverness.

Originally released in 1999 on Big Wheel Recreation, If It Weren't For Venetian Blinds, It Would Be Curtains For Us All brought Piebald's blend of the sincere and the satirical to the '90s emo and indie rock scene

Now, Iodine Recordings proudly presents a deluxe reissue of this quintessential record. It has been completely remastered for vinyl by Jack Shirley (Joyce Manor, Quicksand) at The Atomic Garden, and has been out of print since its original release. Calling all collectors!

This remastered edition features fully updated artwork reconstructed from original source materials and photos, as well as a retrospective commentary written by the band.

Springing from the thriving Merrimack Valley scene that produced Converge and Cave In, Venetian Blinds bridged the gap between underground post-hardcore experimentation and the hook-driven songwriting that would soon define an era. Witty, heartfelt, and impossible to categorize, this deluxe reissue celebrates a crucial piece of Piebald's history.

Vana Announces First Ever US Headline Run: THE LADY IN RED TOUR

Fresh off her signing to Sumerian Records and the release of "Pray," Vana announces her first US headline tour. Vana: The Lady In Red Tour launches April 17th, 2026, in Atlanta and runs through early June, hitting 31 cities across the US and Canada. Special guests Cloudyfield, Deadlands, and RedHook join the run. Pre-sales start at 12pm ET today with general on-sale kicking off at 10am local on Friday, December 12th from www.vanamusicofficial.com.

The tour marks a turning point for the self-taught multi-instrumentalist, who spent 2025 building momentum independently before signing with Sumerian and joining Set It Off and Fame On Fire on the road. Now Vana's stepping into the headline slot, bringing her gritty, trap-infused industrial metal to rooms across North America. This is the next chapter for an artist who's racked up over 1 million Spotify monthly listeners, 85 million streams, 18.8 million plays on single "Beg!" alone, and a dedicated fanbase built through unfiltered connection on Twitch, TikTok, and Instagram.

Doing my own headline tour has always been a dream of mine and I’m so grateful to finally make this dream a reality. This tour feels like the moment I finally get to step into the world I’ve been building in my head since I started Vana. I’m so excited for my first headline tour across North America! I’m so proud of curating a lineup of powerhouses like Cloudyfield, Deadlands, and RedHook. The fact they are joining me makes it even more unreal. These shows will be nuts!” ~ Vana

"The Lady In Red Tour" kicks off in the South before working its way up the East Coast, cutting through the Midwest, hitting the West Coast, and looping back through Texas and the Southeast. The routing includes marquee rooms like The Roxy in Los Angeles, Gramercy in New York, and The Sinclair in Boston, alongside indie staples like Bottom Lounge in Chicago and Off Broadway in St. Louis. It's a mix built for fans who've been showing up since day one and the new audiences who recently discovered Vana through latest single, "Pray" and her signing to Sumerian Records.

Special VIP packages will be available, offering fans direct access to meet-and-greets and exclusive merch. Vana is endorsed by Fender and Jackson Guitars. The tour is presented in association with Sumerian Records, SiX18, and Sound Talent Group.

About Vana:

Vana (pronounced VAH-NAH) is a New Zealand-based artist whose industrial alt-metal sound merges brutal riffs with haunting electro-pop elements, trap-influenced production, and visceral breakdowns. Raised in Auckland (originally born in Anaheim, California), Vana is entirely self-taught, building her sound and fanbase independently before signing to Sumerian Records in 2025.

Her breakout single "Beg!" amassed over 18.8 million Spotify streams and 1.7 million video views, earning her acclaim from Rolling Stone Australia, Vice New Zealand, NZ Musician, and Rova. With over 85 million cross-platform streams, 765,000 monthly Spotify listeners, and a combined social following of over 1.2 million across TikTok and Instagram, Vana has established herself as one of alternative music's most compelling new voices.

Drawing influence from Pierce the Veil, Sleeping With Sirens, Bring Me The Horizon, Brakence, and Chase Atlantic, Vana's music is equally informed by gothic literature, Lovecraftian horror, fantasy role-playing games like Baldur's Gate 3, and fragrance descriptions on niche perfume forums. She co-produces all her music with Vincent Ernst of Magnolia Park, crafting a sonic world as lore-driven and visually ambitious as it is sonically uncompromising.

A passionate advocate for inclusion, mental health awareness, and female empowerment in male-dominated spaces, Vanauses her platform to create a safe space for women, LGBTQ+ audiences, and anyone who's ever felt like an outsider. Her debut album, arriving fall 2026 via Sumerian Records, will introduce a dystopian fantasy world rooted in dark femininity, villainy, and the perspective of the misunderstood.

Vana is endorsed by Fender Guitars and Jackson Guitars.

Formed in Mississauga in 1975, Triumph - Rik Emmett (guitar, vocals), Mike Levine (bass, keyboards), and Gil Moore (drums, vocals), rose from playing high school auditoriums and rock n’ roll bars to selling out iconic arenas, from Toronto’s famed Maple Leaf Gardens to Reunion Arena in Dallas, Texas. Their virtuosic musicianship, soaring vocals, and dazzling, high-production live shows helped define an era of arena rock. Blending hard rock power with progressive ambition, Triumph has sold over 15 million albums worldwide and earned multiple gold and platinum certifications, building a global following through headline tours and landmark festival performances, including the 1983 US Festival before 500,000 fans. With hits like “Lay It on the Line,” “Magic Power,” and “Fight the Good Fight” - combined with pioneering stage productions featuring pyrotechnics, laser lighting, and theatrical flair - Triumph became arena rock legends, securing a permanent place in Canadian and international rock history.

The band’s return to the road follows a defining year honouring Triumph’s impact across generations. In June 2025, the band was celebrated with Magic Power: All-Star Tribute to Triumph (Round Hill Records, June 6, 2025), a 15-track tribute album featuring rock luminaries such as Phil X, Sebastian Bach, Slash, Nancy Wilson, Joey Belladonna, Dee Snider, Lawrence Gowan, Deen Castronovo, Alex Lifeson, Jeff Keith, Mickey Thomas, and produced by the world-renowned Mike Clink (Guns N’ Roses, Mötley Crüe, Whitesnake).

Further solidifying their celebrated status, Triumph was inducted into the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame in October, a prestigious honour recognizing their enduring influence, masterful songwriting, and contributions to Canada’s cultural legacy. This induction adds to their long list of accolades, which includes membership in the Canadian Music Industry Hall of Fame (2007), the Canadian Music Hall of Fame (2008), and Canada’s Walk of Fame (2019).

ROADRUNNER SIGNS LEGENDARY BOSTON HARDCORE BAND BLOOD FOR BLOOD BAND SHARES "YOU'RE GONNA HAVE TO KILL ME" — ITS FIRST SINGLE IN TWO DECADES

ROADRUNNER RECORDS is thrilled to announce the signing Boston hardcore institution BLOOD FOR BLOOD.

Since 1994, Blood for Blood have quietly achieved their rightful place in the hardcore pantheon, thanks to an all-out punk and hardcore assault delivered with metallic precision, laced with venomous swagger and spiked with a sarcastic sense of humor.

Today, they share their new single "YOU'RE GONNA HAVE TO KILL ME." It's the first new song from Blood for Blood in 21 years. And it rips.

Fueled by the very unbridled aggression that propelled them to the top of the hardcore scene in the '90s and early '00's, BFB are, put simply, fucking back.

Opening with that hardened grit that only a Boston-bred voice could deliver, the band hasn't missed a (two) step — with bass lines that slap and their perma-quintessential middle fingers raised high. It's all fingerpointing, floorpunching, and fist-in-the-air fury.

Listen Below:

Notice the tip of the hat to Paul Newman in Cool Hand Luke, giving way an ominous groan of distortion and frenzied double bass. The riffs thrash and roll, and the groove quakes with enough force to register on the Richter scale. Its bellowing chorus splits the pit with a call-to-arms: "Stay down you're gonna have to kill me, 'cause we won't stay down 'til we're dead." A melodic call-and-response burns like a light at the end of the tunnel.

About the song itself, singer Rob Lind says, "It's a straight-up-the-pipe Blood for Blood song. Initially, it points out pop culture's fascination with criminality and outlaw nonsense. Everybody is trying to be wild, gangster, or whatever, all of which 'You're Gonna Have To Kill Me' sneers at. For all of this contempt, it ends on a really  positive note. It might even be uplifting, which is my hope."

Furthermore, the band declares, "Blood for Blood have returned from exile with new music and new live dates. We're proud to say we've signed with Roadrunner Records, and our new single 'You're Gonna Have to Kill Me' is streaming everywhere now."

The band's upcoming live dates are below. Shows go on sale on Friday, December 12 at 10am local time. Get tickets here. [[ADD LINK]]

ABOUT BLOOD FOR BLOOD:
Blood for Blood came out swinging on 1997’s Spit My Last Breath. You could say they unassumingly reflected the intensity of a scene overlooked by the music industry and simultaneously mirrored the aggression of a working class forgotten by its country's "leaders." During 1998, BFB uncorked unadulterated rage with Revenge on Society, which Axe To Grind cited as one of the "5 Hardcore Albums That Defined 1996-2000." The musicians rallied together with 1999's Livin' In Exile hailed as "definitive" by Boston Phoenix. The 2002 opus Outlaw Anthems resonates to this day with millions of streams. Moreover, they toured with everyone from Dropkick Murphys to Terror and Sick of It All. Garnering praise, New Noise Magazine marveled at how "their unforgiving attitude of give no fucks simultaneously created their own niche of a scene, a style, and a culture within sub-genres of music which quickly spread worldwide," and Invisible Oranges attested, "Rob Lind is a friggin' genius in my book.” No Jumper even touted them among "the best hardcore bands of all time." Save for a few short-lived reunion attempts, the band was more or less dormant from 2004 onward. Shocked to life once more by founder, guitarist, and vocalist "White Trash" Rob Lind and O.G. bassist Ian McFarland, Blood For Blood are back with shows and their first original release in 21 years "You're Gonna Have To Kill Me."

Rotting Christ Release Live Video of "Under the Name of Legion"

After 35 years of evil existence, Rotting Christ still stand the test of time. Sakis Tolis, his brother Themis and their Greek brothers-in-arms have risen from the Athenian underground to become one of the metal world's most reliable forces, backed by a pantheon discography that has both defined and defied black metal.

As they prepare for what's building up to be a monumental 2026, today, Rotting Christ are releasing a new live video from the upcoming Blu-Ray edition of  35 Years of Evil Existence - Live in Lycabettus. Though a familiar inclusion among the band's setlist, when performed in front of a sold-out crowd at their historic home theater, "Under the Name of Legion" raises the banner for Hellenic black metal to new heights.

Watch Rotting Christ perform "Under the Name of Legion" Live in Lycabettus below:

The Blu-Ray edition of 35 Years of Evil Existence - Live in Lycabettus comes out this Friday, December 12, 2025 on Season of Mist.

When Rotting Christ stepped onto the stage at the historic Lycabettus Hill Theater for the first time last summer, Sakis, Themis, Kostis Fouk and Kostas "Spades" Heliotis treated 7,000 devout followers to a two-hour set that spanned the band's entire career. Picking one song to close such a monumental evening is no easy feat, especially among their pantheon-level discography. But "Under the Name of Legion" gave them the perfect send-off.

Originally, "Under the Name of Legion" appeared as the closing track on Genesis, Rotting Christ's seventh full-length album. While the song is still blessed with the band's enchanting gothic melodies, it's mighty opening chant recalls the unflinching pact they forged with metal legions during their earliest years. "Love of darkness signifies the enlightened life eternally". Beating from inside Lycabettus' ancient halls, Rotting Christ's true metal spirit echoed beyond the ages.

"We are proud that our new live album will now be available on Blu-Ray", says Sakis. "Thanks to all our metal brothers and sisters for your attention, support and dedication over all these years. You can be sure that we will be at the frontline of the battlefield until the end. Non Serviam!"

The footage from 35 Years of Existence - Live in Lycabettus was directed by Yiannis Margetousakis & Thanos Liberopoulos.
