Girlschool originated in the UK during the New Wave of British Heavy Metal Scene in 1978 and is frequently associated with contemporaries and friends Motörhead. They are the longest running all-female rock band, still active and rocking hard after more than 40 years.

Formed from a school band called Painted Lady by Kim McAuliffe and Enid Williams, Girlschool enjoyed strong media exposure and commercial success in the U.K. in the early 1980s with three albums of 'punk-tinged metal' and a few singles.

In the 1990s and 2000s, they concentrated their efforts on live shows and tours, reducing considerably the production of studio albums. During their long career Girlschool toured all over the world, performing at many of the biggest rock and metal festivals as well as co-headlining with or supporting some of the most important hard rock and heavy metal bands in the genre.

They maintain a worldwide cult following and are considered an inspiration for many succeeding female rock musicians, such as The Donnas.

Original members Kim McAuliffe, Denise (Drench) Dufort are still in the band to this day, original member lead guitarist /vocalist/songwriter Kelly Johnson died of cancer in 2007 and was replaced by lead guitarist/songwriter Jackie (Jax) Chambers in 1999.

In Jan 2019 Girlschool part ways once again with bassist Enid Williams, making way for the return of Tracey Lamb (formerly of Rock Goddess and Girlschool 1987-1991 & 1993-2000) solidifying the bands lineup for future live shows and recordings.

On July 28, 2023 at FORTY-FIVE years young, the British hard rock royalty came out swinging with their 14th studio album 'WTFortyfive?,' an outstanding and deliciously dirty declaration that age is a number that shows how much real raw attitude you have when it really counts. Kim, Denise, Jackie and Tracey leave the grit under their finger nails and the scuzz on their crusty leather boots as they riff and stomp their way through 12 statements of intent showing major attitude, some great melodies, and a consistent crunch to every guitar.

GIRLSCHOOL Lineup:

Kim McAuliffe: rhythm guitar, lead and backing vocals

Denise Dufort: drums

Tracey Lamb: bass guitar

Jackie Chambers: lead guitar, backing vocals

Skid Row Shares Music Video For "Resurrected" — WATCH // Second Leg Of Buckcherry Tour Starts Friday!

Now's the time to see, we're resurrected!

earMUSIC and SKID ROW unleash the music video for "Resurrected," the fifth single from the band's latest album The Gang's All Here.

Skid Row were never a band that was going to let anything get in their way, and their latest video for "Resurrected" takes that idea to the ultimate next level.

Directed by Frank Gryner, who has created eye-popping videos for Alice Cooper and Def Leppard, and from an original concept by Skid Row's Rachel Bolan, the video captures the band in a new environment, showcasing their versatility as they confidently tackle a formidable challenge.

"Being a fan of animation, I was very excited when the opportunity to do an animated video was presented to us," recalls Bolan. "I really wanted to give the video a sci-fi feel that would convey that you can conquer anything, no matter how big the monster, even if it lives within the parameter of your inner circle."

WATCH THE VIDEO FOR "RESURRECTED"

Since releasing The Gang's All Here in 2022, Skid Row have been non-stop conquering all that there is to conquer. With Top 20 album positions in numerous countries, the album has spawned new fan favorites like "Tear It Down" and "Time Bomb," which rock side-by-side with classics like "18 and Life" and "Monkey Business" in their live sets.

Undefeated and now "Resurrected," Skid Row are back on the road in December in North America along with Buckcherry.

"You don't want to send this band out on stage with a chip on its shoulder," advises Bolan. "That's for damned sure."

Jarhead Fertilizer Share "Mark of the Beast" + "Street Successor" From "Carceral Warfare" Out 12/8 Via Closed Casket Activities

Ocean City, Maryland's JARHEAD FERTILIZER  — Dave Bland [drums, vocals], Sam DiGristine [guitar, vocals], Brandon Brown [guitar, vocals], and Vinny Vitilio [bass] — will drop their new album Carceral Warfare on December 8 via Closed Casket Activities. Get it here. [[ADD LINK]]

Today, the band has shared two tracks: "Mark of the Beast" and "Street Successor." Listen here.

The album's subject matter and theme are deeply personal — they depict an eternal struggle set in the walls of a celestial prison based on the experiences of Bland's late father.

"Growing up, I watched a lot of crazy shit," he states. "My dad was an ex-convict, and that's where the prison idea came from. I was surrounded by that lifestyle. Many of the lyrics compare earth to a prison, and they explore all the atrocities of man. My relationship with my father definitely influenced the band, and this album is almost like me getting to tell his story since he passed away two years ago."

After a series of fan favorite EPs, 2021's Product of My Environment affirmed Jarhead Fertilizer as an undeniable underground favorite.

Throughout 2023, the band recorded Carceral Warfare at Developing Nations with producer Kevin Bernstein behind the board. This time around, the musicians nodded to influences as diverse as extreme metal a la Mortal Decay, Lucifer's Hammer, and Demilich to jazz drummers such as Billy Cobham and Tony Williams, Memphis hip-hop legends Three Six Mafia, as well as acts such as Techno Animal and The Prodigy.

"It's also the first time we experimented with putting samples in the middle of songs," adds Bland. "They don't hear that much in death metal. The samples aren't just for noise or texture. They're actually a part of the songwriting."

The album artwork is also an important aspect of the story. "It's graffiti-style with oil painting, so it's grimy and angelic," says Bland. "The prisoners are winning this riot, but there are these beautiful angels unaffected by the chaos in the fray. One lady is blowing a horn, signifying one of the seven horns before the end times. It's a final warning. There are eight horns at the end of the album. You can wonder, ‘'s it over, or is there life still left?'"

This sort of visceral vision makes Carceral Warfare unforgettable.

"We want to leave you speechless," Bland finishes. "We don't want you to get up and change the song. We want you to sit and think about what you heard."

Jarhead Fertilizer remain on the road through late December. All dates are below.

WICKED TO UNVEIL LATEST SINGLE/VIDEO – THE TITLE TRACK FROM FROM 'SUNBURN' AT UPCOMING LIVE STREAM

Modern-day melodic/theatrical rockers Wicked are back with the latest single/video from their new album – which turns out to be its title track, 'Sunburn.' The band (singer/guitarist Chad Michael, guitarist Scotty V, bassist Danny, and drummer Gunnar) are especially proud of the clip, which captures a 38-hour coast-to-coast drive, with its destination being Joshua Tree, CA. Directed and filmed by Longwood Media Group, the clip also stars actresses Chelsea "Cherry Baby" Anzalone and Kayla Balfe, and can be viewed via this link: https://youtu.be/FehNxak6ljE

As the band explains, "The second single off the upcoming sophomore album  'Sunburn' gives the vibe of that saying, 'too much of a good thing,' and is accompanied by footage from our cross-country escape to California. We drove 38 hours straight in the band van from coast to coast, facing all the surprises old Route 66 had to offer – from storms to vehicle breakdowns and all the new faces we got to meet. From Cali beaches to the Joshua Tree desert, we brought our rock n' roll party and burnt the candle at both ends. It was a perfect way to live out the metaphorical meaning of 'Sunburn' is a song about excess and its repercussions. Don’t miss what happens to the band in our music video after we invite these rock n' roll ladies to our desert getaway!"

And musically, Wicked describes "Sunburn" as "A punchy, punishing rocker, with sharpened punk edges and lyrical prowess that could have easily been played at an aggressive Michael Monroe show on the Lower East Side, or on MTV in the 90s by a band like Third Eye Blind. In 2023 it’s born with one purpose and that’s to fly the flag of that unapologetic Rock N Roll lifestyle and be your next summer anthem!"

Additionally, Wicked will be taking part in a livestream interactive release show dubbed "The Rock N Roll Circus Show" on December 8, 2023 at 8pm, which will be the kickoff of the series of this rock n' roll variety show. The live streamed show will focus on the "Sunburn" single, but also featuring performances, behind the scenes footage, live interactions with the band, giveaways, and more, via this link:

“What else are you going to do in the dead of Winter? Might as well get geared up for next summer with this party anthem” - Gunnar

“Sunburn puts the fun back in rock n' roll. Top down, swimsuit on or off, it's always summer somewhere” - Chad Michael

“When you know it's going to be trouble but that's exactly the reason you want it so bad.” - Danny

“Here's another peak into the hottest rock n' roll album you've ever heard. Take a rip and let this single burn!” - Scotty V

GVLLOW Unveils Re-Recording of Single 'Fell In Love With A Ghost'

Riverside, CA’s rapidly ascending solo artist, multi-instrumentalist, DJ and producer, GVLLOW has dropped a newly re-recored, remixed and remastered version of single 'Fell In Love With A Ghost'. Watch the new clip below and stream the remixed, remastered track HERE.

Speaking on the release of his new track, Gvllow shares

"I wrote this song 4 years ago and titled it after a song my late best friend Zak had written in an old band we were in together. I always loved the title and after his passing, I thought it would be cool to name that title after this song I recorded late one night. The lyrics came from a place where I was feeling more alone than ever. I was sitting in my studio by myself and was feeling very low and alone, and saw a spider crawling across my wall spinning a web and i didn’t do a thing about it except watch the spider continue on, because it made me feel like at least I’m not completely alone..there’s a spider friend in the room with me and suddenly it sparked inspiration for the lyrics.

I always wanted to have this song remixed and remastered to give it the sound it sonically deserved and I’m proud to say I’ve finally made that dream come true"

GVLLOW released his acclaimed 'Spiritwalker' EP in the Spring of 2021, the release saw his stylistic expansion into post-punk and dark wave. Heavily influenced by by the likes of Drab Majesty, Sisters Of Mercy and Bauhaus, the transition began with highly acclaimed single "Last Dance" from his previous, eponymous full-length and continued with the 'Spiritwalker' EP and his 2022 releases - "Die By Your Hand", "Falling Down", "Not Sorry" and the 'Suffer' EP.

GVLLOW has one epic show left on his debut solo headline tour, at Club Dominion in his hometown of Riverside, CA on Thursday, November 30th. Tickets available HERE.

About Gvllow

He started playing drums at age nine and would go to The Showcase Theatre in Corona every weekend to watch bands such as Dr Know, TSOL and Narcoleptic Youth.

To date, GVLLOW has clocked up over 38 million career streams and 1.4 million YouTube views.

Kenny Chesney Adds 3 Soccer Stadiums to 20 Stadium SUN GOES DOWN Tour

Once Kenny Chesney gets rolling, count on the 8-time Entertainer of the Year to think about how he can expand what he does on the road in new and intriguing ways. With soccer fever sweeping the nation, he decided to upgrade his plays in Cincinnati and Salt Lake City to the TQL Stadium and America First Field respectively; the move was inspired by his years of headlining Columbus, Ohio’s Historic Crew Stadium.

“In a lot of ways, soccer stadiums are the best of both worlds,” allows the charismatic songwriter/superstar. “You have the same kind of intimacy that you get in an amphitheater, but it’s big enough you have the ability to really hit the accelerator in terms of energy, music, connecting. It’s a relatively new thing for us to have soccer stadiums, but these are markets where I know there are people who aren’t getting tickets – and everyone in No Shoes Nation knows how I feel about no citizen of our crew left behind.”

Adding three MLS soccer venues isn’t the first Sun Goes Down 2024 changeup. Initially only planning for one Foxborough, Mass. show, Chesney added a second, selling both out in a wildly competitive summer of live music. That response was so intense, Chesney added an unprecedented third New England show on Sunday night, which is well over two-thirds sold, too.

“People have choices,” says the only country artist on Billboard’s Top 10 Touring Artists of the Last 25 Years for the past 14 years. “You never want to take fans or the marketplace as a given, and you always want to remember who you do this for: the people who love the music. I want to give people the best night of their summer...because they’re giving me some of the greatest nights of my life! And the response to Sun Goes Down made me decide to try some things.”

Chesney’s soccer stadiums shows are Saturday, June 29 at Cincinnati’s TQL Stadium, Tuesday, July 16 at Salt Lake City’s America First Field and Thursday, August 8 at Columbus, Ohio’s Historic Crew Stadium. All three shows on this configuration of Sun Goes Down 2024 will feature CMA Song of the Year and New Artist nominee Megan Moroney and old friend and multiple week No. 1 “When The Sun Goes Down” partner Uncle Kracker.

With “Take Her Home” landing on 133 reporting country stations in its first week, Chesney’s once again hitting a nerve among his fans – often described as the most loyal alongside the Deadheads and Parrotheads – with a real life song that tracks the moments that define a life in the best way possible. The song embracing taking the risks that make real people’s lives sweeter, it’s the essence of No Shoes Nation: people living life who lean in, hang on and love every single moment along the way.

Presented by Blue Chair Bay® Rum, Sun Goes Down 2024 returns the high-velocity musician to touring full-tilt and ready to do what he does best: stadiums. With New England being a stronghold, these shows show the love affair between Chesney and the Northeast continues.

“...because everything gets hotter when the sun goes down...”

Frenchy and the Punk present ‘Gear Geist’ with new video, celebrating the spirit of Britain past. Their Siouxsie tribute 'Cities In Dust’ is also out now

"Explosive, subdued, confrontational, soothing, spikey, and accessible, an incredible blend of alt-rock shade and alt-folk light" ~ Big Takeover Magazine

"Captivating with a sense of adventure... Frenchy and the Punk’s music always injects a silver lining into their dusky post-punk. With music this fantastic, we can only hope that their art is not merely a sign of the times but a harbinger of better times to come" ~ The Spill Magazine

"Penetrating psych-soaked post-punk... Brimming with their signature cinematic drama and that unforgettable voice" ~ Global Texan Chronicles

"An inspiriting slice of post punk hued, new wave nurtured rock ‘n’ roll... under the skin and hungrily stirring the imagination in a flash" ~ Ringmaster Review

NYC-based goth pop-alternative duo
Frenchy and the Punk present the single ‘Gear Geist’. Essentially translated as Gear Ghost, this song conjures the 'ghost in the machine' idea, which reflects the overall 'mind phantoms' theme of their latest album Zen Ghost'.  The new video for this song was shot in Whitby and Thetford Forest during the duo's UK ‘Zen Ghost’ tour earlier this year.

This follows their October cover version of Siouxsie and the Banshees’ classic
'Cities In Dust', timed for the 38th anniversary of the original release, with B-side 'Monsters'.

Frenchy and the Punk is vocalist, percussionist and lyricist Samantha Stephensonand guitarist-composer Scott Helland, co-founder of
Deep Wound (with Dinosaur Jr.'s J Mascis and Lou Barlow) and Outpatients. Tapped as one of the Top 25 duos in the US by Yahoo! Music, the duo profess a vivid blend of post-punk, cabaret and dark folk music.

‘Gear Geist’ is a largely instrumental track peppered with expansive atmospheric and ethereal vocals, adding texture and emotion. The melding of Helland's guitar and organically produced sounds from the guitar, as well as keyboard and electronic embellishments and percussion, perfectly mesh to create an otherworldly soundscape.

"Whenever I sing those parts in the song it feels like a lament, an acknowledgement of the sadness in the world enveloped with a veil of the bittersweet nature of love, beauty, connection and loneliness in life," says Samantha Stephenson.

“It was cloudy and raining in both locations, which was perfect for the mood of the track. The atmospheric and haunting vibe of ‘Gear Geist’ demanded a kind of setting that could reflect that mood."

For this video, Stephenson was able to tap into her many years of dance training and performance to bring a strong dance element to the visuals. Aerialist Nicole Pisaniello from Host of Sparrows Aerial Circus (in Richmond VA) adds a gravity-defying element to that dance theme, sewing up the thread of a gothic embrace to the song.

Helland and Stephenson met in NYC in 1998. The spark was immediate, powerful and undeniable. They started collaborating on creative projects together, but it wouldn't be until 2005 that they would start to collaborate musically after Stephenson spontaneously jumped on stage to accompany Helland during his solo guitar performance. The two began to tour with fevered zeal and striking aesthetic, building fervent fans on the mystical-folk/steampunk festival, coffeehouse, convention and club circuits with their boisterous performances.

With
numerous recordings under their belt over the years, they've performed with Dead Can Dance's Peter Ulrich and Dresden Dolls' Brian Viglione, and opened for Thomas Dolby, Dinosaur Jr., The World Inferno Friendship Society, Rasputina, Cruxshadows, Hurray For The Riff Raff and The Young Dubliners.

After a full year of touring throughout the USA and Europe, Frenchy and the Punk is now back in New York, writing material for a new album planned for 2024. In the meantime, both the ‘Zen Ghost’ album and the 'Cities In Dust' single are available from fine digital outlets, including
Apple MusicSpotify and Bandcamp. ‘Gear Geist’ itself will be offered on a 'name your price' basis via Bandcamp until December 15th.

The God Machine marks another pinnacle in Blind Guardian’s impressive discography by not attempting to pretend that it is still the nineties, yet successfully relying on the muscle memory of this period. It is a gripping, addictive, and brilliantly arranged album in the tradition of records with which Blind Guardian reached for the stars in the 90s; yet, by no means is it a throwback. The God Machine represents the heart and soul of Blind Guardian’s timeless metal in the here and now, unifying the bards’ past, present, and future secrets in one consistent, well-thought-out masterpiece.

In 1992, Blind Guardian released Somewhere Far Beyond, a legendary milestone of modern speed metal. Three decades later, their latest offering, The God Machine, demonstrates how to awaken the fury of youth to a magical new life. As if they had paid a long overdue visit to the numerous highlights of their career, Blind Guardian appears to be in touch with the ghosts of their past more than ever.

Seven years after Beyond The Red Mirror and almost three after the orchestral opus Blind Guardian Twilight Orchestra: Legacy of the Dark Lands, Hansi Kürsch (vocals), André Olbrich (lead guitar, acoustic guitar, rhythm guitar), Marcus Siepen (rhythm guitar and acoustic guitar) and Frederik Ehmke (drums) invite you to their personal twilight of the gods.

Ryman Auditorium Announces Mother's Day Weekend w/ Amy Grant, May 10-11, 2024

Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium has announced a two-night special event featuring six-time GRAMMY winner Amy Grant to coincide with Mother’s Day weekend. Grant's Ryman shows in May will mark her first solo performance at the Ryman in 25 years, and her first solo performances in Nashville in more than 15 years. The two-night event takes place May 10 and 11, 2024, and will feature different set lists each night. Tickets go on sale Friday, Dec. 1 at 10 a.m. CT. In celebration of Mother’s Day weekend and women everywhere, a portion of every ticket will go to Thistle Farms. Visit ryman.com for more details.

Preceding her spring shows, Grant and husband Vince Gill will kick off their “Christmas at the Ryman” residency on Dec. 13, one of Music City’s most treasured traditions. The 12-concert run is scheduled for December 13-14, 16-17, 19-20 and 22-23 and will once again feature matinee performances of the beloved show.

“Who doesn’t love the Ryman Auditorium? It’s the best place in the world to hear music and to perform,” says Grant. “Every year I look forward to Vince’s and my Christmas residency there, and this year is no exception. For so many artists and musicians, playing that stage is returning to the Mother Church of music and sharing a night with family.

“I’m thrilled to be headed back to the Ryman for the first time in 25 years to play two nights of the non-holiday music I’ve been making for the past 45 years,” Grant continues. “Over the two nights, I’ll cover as much of the old music as I can, and introduce a couple of new songs.”

This past weekend, Grant and her long-time friend and collaborator Michael W. Smith embarked on their 2023 Christmas Tour. Joined by special guest Michael Tait of the Newsboys, Grant and Smith will co-headline nine holiday shows, including their first appearance together on New York City’s iconic Carnegie Hall stage (Dec. 5).

About Amy Grant:
Amy Grant's career spans more than 40 years and stretches from her roots in gospel into becoming an iconic pop star, songwriter, television personality, philanthropist and has become as some have dubbed her, ‘The Queen Of Christmas’ with her millions of Christmas albums sold over the years. With three multi-platinum albums, six platinum albums and four gold albums, her total career album sales have exceeded 30 million and over 1 billion global streams. Grant’s chart success has been consistent throughout her career with six No. 1 hits, 10 Top 40 pop singles, 17 Top 40 Adult Contemporary tracks and multiple Contemporary Christian chart-toppers. In addition to her six GRAMMY® Awards, Grant has earned 26 Dove Awards (including four Artist of the Year Awards) and has been awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame as well as the Music City Walk of Fame and the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. Conventional wisdom has it that Grant put Contemporary Christian Music on the map becoming the first Contemporary Christian artist to have a platinum record, the first to hit No. 1 on the Pop charts and the first to perform at the GRAMMY® Awards. With that, her legacy as one of the most influential artists of the past four decades is assured.  Amy has established herself as an iconic ‘Christmas’ artist as well with not only millions of Christmas albums sold, but also her annual Christmas Tours with the likes of Michael W. Smith, Marc Martel, Jordan Sparks and many others.  Additionally, for the past 19 years, Amy and her husband Vince Gill, perform an annual two-week residency at the legendary Ryman Auditorium in Nashville with their ‘Christmas At The Ryman’ shows.  In 2022, The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts included Grant as one of their five distinguished Honorees to receive the 45th Kennedy Center Honors for lifetime artistic achievements. In 2020, the T.J. Martell Foundation – the music industry’s leading nonprofit to fund innovative medical research focused on treatments and cures for cancer – honored Grant with the Tony Martell Outstanding Entertainment Achievement Award at their annual Honors Gala. In 2023, Grant will be on the road performing in 70 cities across the country and recently released her first new music in a decade, starting with the single "Trees We'll Never See,” (March) and most recently in April "What You Heard."  Grant released her latest project, “Lead Me On Live 1989” on 10/6/23 which is a full-concert documentation from the 1988-1989 Lead Me On Tour.  Grant will finish the year with two Christmas Tours including dates with Michael W. Smith as well as the annual ‘Christmas At The Ryman’ residency with Vince Gill.

The album includes fourteen total tracks, including Aldean’s breakthrough Hot 100 chart-topping single “Try That In A Small Town,” which recently became his 28th career #1 single at Country radio, as well as three tracks co-written by Aldean-a first since his 2009 Wide Open album-as well as his new radio single, “Let Your Boys Be Country.” The 3X ACM Entertainer of the Year winner first introduced new music from the album in May with the release of the fan-appreciation anthem, “Tough Crowd,” at this year’s ACM Awards, where Aldean-a 3X winner in the category- was an Entertainer of the Year nominee. Aldean recently released the music video for his next single, “Let Your Boys Be Country,” with special guest appearances by his young son and daughter. Written by Allison Veltz Cruz, Jaron Boyer, and Micah Wilshire, “Let Your Boys Be Country” off of the new album highlights the simplicity and innocence of childhood and rural life, with American Songwriter noting “lines like ‘Let everything inside these county lines be his whole world. You want him to grow up to be someone he’s damn proud to be. Mamas, let your boys be country’ nail the mindset of the song.” HIGHWAY DESPERADO follows Aldean’s double album MACON, GEORGIA, which earned Aldean his #1 single, "Trouble With A Heartbreak,” as well as a Billboard Music Award nomination for “Top Country Song” and awards from ACM, CMT, iHeart, and a GRAMMY nomination for “If I Didn’t Love You” with Carrie Underwood. Since making his chart debut in 2005, the Georgia native has earned the most Top 10 songs on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart - more than any other artist - his “songs of small-town living, love and loss have resonated with a loyal fanbase” (Billboard) and have “vaulted him to the pinnacle of Country music success” (Atlanta Journal Constitution).

Imminence Share "Death By A Thousand Cuts" Video — WATCH // Band Touring North American NOW!

Swedish alternative metalcore outfit Imminence have established their own highly unique sound and have pushed their style.

With the distinct use of classical string arrangements blended with the influence of ferocious Scandinavian metal, the sound and visual universe of the quintet stands out as an  innovative and exciting act. Fronted by vocalist and violinist Eddie Berg, guitarists Harald Barrett and Alex Arnoldsson, drummer Peter Hanström, and bassist Christian Höijer, Imminence have opened a new release cycle with three singles out since June 2023. The new tracks "Come Hell or High Water," "Desolation," and "Heaven Shall Burn" have quickly achieved millions of streams and achieved a rapid growth in social media following, furthermore given the band great attention during this year's festival season, where Imminence performed at Wacken, Summerbreeze, Tuska Open Air, Reload, shared stage with genre pioneers Architects, and much more.

Imminence recently announced their very first tour in North America.

As always, the group never ceases to do the unexpected, and decided to embark on the tour as a headliner. Within 48 hours, the entire tour was sold out and some venues are now upgraded for the second time. Watch the video below.

The cycle of the previous album Heaven In Hiding closed with an exclusive Deluxe Edition release, including the single track "Jaded" (2023), shortly thereafter Imminence continued to gain viral attention on all social media platforms, partially due to the remarkable "Live In Studio" recordings, and experienced an impressive growth of +100 000 followers and millions of streams over the course of just a few months this year.

With four full length studio albums, over 220,000,000 streams, and over 570,000 combined online followers and closing in on 800,000 monthly Spotify listeners, Imminence monumental touring history continues this winter. After selling out headline shows all over the European continent and supporting metal legends In Flames in late 2022, the announcement of the band's first-ever tour in North America has been an astounding success and Imminence are ready to take on the role as an established live act in the U.S. and Canada market from here on.

Alluvial Share NSFW "Death Is But a Door" Video

ALLUVIAL — Kevin Muller [vocals], Wes Hauch [guitar, vocals], Tim Walker [bass], and Zach Dean [drums] — will release their new EP, Death Is But a Door on January 12 via Nuclear Blast.

They have just shared the video for
the title track. It was directed by Juan Carlos Escobar Salazar.

The plot-driven video traces the mental and emotional descent of a man against an apocalyptic urban backdrop. Trigger warning: The video does include scenes of gun violence.

Watch it below.

"The best of us carry a dormant horror," the band says about the track. "The very worst of us still have a heart."

The director also chimed in, saying, "Ever since I heard Alluvial's Sarcoma, they quickly became one of my absolute favorite bands. As a musician myself, I was blown away by their technicality, brutality, and their devastating wall of sound in their songs. So when my friend Mada Fleming introduced me to Kevin Muller literally a couple months ago, he mentioned the possibility of collaborating on a music video for a song in their upcoming EP. I was more than thrilled! Through a phone call, Wes Hauch and Kevin gave me the premise of what they had in mind for the video. After knowing what their vision was, I reached out to the incredibly talented actor, writer, producer, and director Nickolas Jacobs and through a lot of work and ingenuity, we delivered a piece that encapsulates the vision of the band and the atmosphere of the song. As a cinematographer, I had a lot of fun creating this; as a musician and a huge fan, it was an honor being part of this project with Alluvial and Nuclear Blast Records."

Alluvial just wrapped a successful U.S. tour supporting TesseracT and will hit the road again this winter with Veil of Maya and Angelmaker. All dates are below.

Expect more from the band in 2024.

ALLUVIAL ON TOUR:
WITH VEIL OF MAYA + ANGELMAKER:

1/19 — Green Bay, WI  — Epic Events Center
1/20 — Madison, WI — Majestic Theatre
1/21— Indianapolis, IN — Hi-Fi
1/23 — St. Louis, MO — Red Flag

1/27 — Colorado Springs, CO — Black Sheep
1/29 — Los Angeles, CA — El Rey
1/30— Mesa, AZ — Nile Theater
2/1 — Houston, TX — Scout Bar
2/2 —Austin, TX — Empire Garage

Darkness and despair are a breeding ground for creativity in the right hands. Since their inception in 2017, Atlanta-based band Alluvial have embraced the grim and gloom that the world has to offer through an intricately balanced blend of rapid-fire polyrhythms, haunting, sludgy atmospheres and tightly wound grooves. The band takes a stab at creating an even more sinister sound than their previous album, Sarcoma, Death Is But a Door.

"We wrote about 13 or 14 songs this summer, but we wanted to do this EP between Sarcoma and our next full-length. These songs align with the vibe we want to go for. We will always find a way to be darker from record to record in the same way that South of Heaven was heavier than Reign In Blood and Seasons In The Abyss was heavier than South Of Heaven," says Hauch. "It was that concept of chasing the dragon to find a way to top the message and vibe on the last record while finding a way to do it that made us excited."

After releasing their instrumental debut full-length, The Deep Longing for Annihilation, the band hit the road. Although the album has racked up millions of streams, there was always an intent to add a vocalist to their following releases. Hauch had begun writing what would become Sarcoma in 2018 and recruited Muller, knowing his vocal prowess from the vocalist's time in Suffocation.

Bringing Muller into the fold immediately elevated the band’s sound, but Death Is But a Door shows the synergy that the band has developed from working as a cohesive unit over the last few years.

Although the band's mission is to drive into bleaker and heavier territory with each new release, they manage to bring balance to their sound. While they remain grounded in death metal, the band's approach finds them exploring all of their influences. From traditional thrash like Pantera or Metallica to darker grunge like Alice in Chains or Soundgarden and everything in between, Alluvial aim to keep listeners on their toes by pushing beyond the realms of death metal.

"I wanted to have a band where we can write meaningful yet action-packed songs. Something that is terrifying but breaks your heart at the same time. I think we'll always chase that, but we want to find new ways to be heavy," says Hauch.

With the band’s members being as ingrained in the death metal scene as they are — with members previously playing in The Faceless, Suffocation and more — listeners can rest assured they’ll be met with plenty of brutality throughout their music. The twists and turns into clean passages, atmospheric ambience, or any of the other musical avenues explored throughout Alluvial's music take them over the edge and invite listeners to return and find something previously undiscovered.

After 24-year wait, THE VELDT opens time-capsule with the release of their Robin Guthrie-produced 'Illuminated 1989' album

"This album is not only a historical sonic document, but it’s a shimmering, charming, sensual and cinematic body of remarkable psychedelic rock that resembles nothing currently in the music sphere" ~ Spill Magazine

US alternative rock / postpunk outfit
The Veldt release their 'Illuminated 1989' album on November 24 via Portland-based Little Cloud Records and North Carolina’s 5BC Records. This is the original 1989 full-length record produced by Cocteau Twins' Robin Guthrie, previewed by the latest offering 'Angel Heart', the lead track 'The Everlasting Gobstopper', and the single 'Aurora Borealis' (with Elizabeth Fraser making a cameo appearance on backing vocals), plus a B-side remix, created by The Veldt.

Guthrie
also remastered the album for vinyl earlier this year. While originally intended to be the band's first album, their label Capitol Records shelved the recording and sent them back into the studio with producer Lincoln Fong (Moose), resulting in their first album released with the title 'Marigolds'.

One of the most notable first-wave shoegaze bands, formed in North Carolina in the 1980s, The Veldt revolves around identical twins Daniel Chavis (vocals, guitar) and Danny Chavis (guitar). Their unique sound was influenced by Cocteau Twins as readily as Marvin Gaye and free-jazz warriors Sun Ra and Pharaoh Sanders. Referencing European post-punk while embracing modern hip-hop, these trailblazers work with transient dreamscapes as fluidly as solid song structures.

Pitchfork included The Veldt's album
'Afrodisiac', produced by the legendary Ray Shulman (The Sundays, Bjork, The Sugarcubes) and released via Mercury Records, in the top 50 shoegaze albums ever released, while Stereogum included ‘Until You’re Forever’ in the top 31 shoegaze tracks. Their sound also inspired future generations of alternative artists, including TV On the Radio.

The Veldt's journey is fascinating. Performing since they were children, the Chavis brothers’ musical roots lead back to the church and southern juke-joints, and listening to music that included gospel, Motown and Pink Floyd. The Veldt formed in the late 80’s in Raleigh amongst the legendary North Carolina music scene of the time, initially signing with Mammoth Records - leading to a chain of major-label relationships that took the group across Europe and the U.S. playing shows with the likes of Throwing Muses, Pixies, Cocteau Twins and Jesus & Mary Chain.

After moving from Raleigh to New York, they briefly performed as Apollo Heights before returning to their original name The Veldt. Joined by Japanese bassist-programmer Hayato Nakao, they together forging music that is a heady and sensual blend of shoegaze and progressive soul, dreamy soundscapes and infectious grooves. Some of the band's recent notable releases include
'The Shocking Fuzz Of Your Electric Fur' EP (2017) and the album 'Entropy is the Mainline to God' (2022).

Over the years, The Veldt has collaborated with TV On The Radio, Mos Def, Lady Miss Kier (Deee-Lite), A.R.Kane and toured or played with Brian Jonestown Massacre, The Pixies, Throwing Muses, Echo & The Bunnymen, Cocteau Twins, Manic Street Preachers, Phantogram, Modern English, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Oasis, Chuck D, Living Colour and Schooly D.

On November 24, the 'Illuminated 1989' album will be released digitally via Portland-based
Little Cloud Records and 5BC Records, and available from fine music platforms, including Apple Music, Spotify and Bandcamp.  The Veldt is currently touring the USA and will be joined by TREMOURS throughout December, culminating in a performance at Seattle's KEXP. The album will be released on vinyl on December 15.

WORMHOLE Announce US Tour with Gorod

Wormhole emerged from the underground this year with Almost Human, their first album for Season of Mist.

"Straight up, 'Almost Human' is a contender for Album of the Year for me", wrote Michael Centrone for
New Noise.

The Baltimore space invaders are taking their signature tech-slam combo out on the road next year with Gorod, the French gods of tech-death. They'll be writhing their way down the East Coast, with an early pit stop in their hometown nesting chamber, before sliming all across the American Southwest. Joining the party are New Jersey's blackened death metal progressives Hath, as well as the all-seeing Exist, who will be playing their first shows since 2020.

"We are humbled and excited to be joining Gorod on tour this January", says Wormhole. "Their influence on us and death metal is profound and we cannot wait to play with and watch them every night".

When they're not dusting kids at Nintendo or throwing on the odd Saturday morning cartoon, Wormhole are out honing their signature combo of brutal, technical death metal. Or, as they call it, tech slam. Since 2016, the band have been oozing up from Baltimore's underground. Now, with Almost Human, they've broken through to the next level.

Lead single "
System Erase" zips the whole tech-slam experience into one tightly clenched polygon fist as drummer Matt Tillett and bassist Basil Chiasson rip through two or three different time shifts before the breakdown comes and swallows you up with the slow, crushing force of a black hole.  Brothers Sanil and Sanjay Kumar shoot off pixelated pangs of dissonance on "Elysiism". Meanwhile, Julian Kersey's death growl is so fierce and rotten on "Spine Shatter High-Velocity Impact" , you can practically smell the stench wafting through your speakers.

"Wormhole delivered a record that holds the power to redefine how brutal tech death and slam-oriented artists write future materials", declared
Angry Metal Guy. "Only time will tell if those artists actually listen, but you definitely should".

When you invent your own genre, you can make the rules, and in space, no one can correct your math. If Wormhole’s excellent The Weakest Among Us was 50% tech death and 50% slamming brutal death metal, their Season of Mist debut is a veritable leveling up of the Baltimore-based act’s trademark “tech slam.” It’s the kind of record that can scramble your brain and give your neck a nice chiropractic workout; Almost Human feels like the future of extreme metal, dropped down from either outer space or delivered by Nintendo cartridge (more on that later).

So, what the hell exactly is “tech slam?” Well, the gleefully amorphous and unholy term comes from an ethos that guitarists Sanil “Noni” Kumar and Sanjay Kumar discovered and perfected over (probably) thousands of hours of Metroid and Doom games, as well as, you know, actual musical mastery. Almost Human, out September 22, 2023, is more powerful, more agile, and more confounding for pie-chart-enthusiasts than anything else that came before it. The sequel is always bigger, darker, and in this case, covered in much more pixelated space horror viscera. My Wormholio calculator puts their sound at 91% tech and 89% slam, with an increase in awesome stats somewhere in the 420% range. There’s also a clear emphasis on amplifying their dissonant death influence, the kind of eerie melodies that feel like being stomped on by Samus.

There’s a clear balance to everything on Almost Human: the songs are more adventurous while also being instantly memorable. No two songs sound alike, and that diversity in songcraft (level design?) sees Wormhole pushing and pulling along their tech and slam dials to figure out what’s best for the song; spoiler, it’s always riffs. What also becomes evident after repeated listens is how carefully the Kumar brothers understand a sense of place, humor, and a consistent vibe. This is still the same band that’s known for throwing on Saturday morning cartoons, and Almost Human continues to hammer home that Wormhole the musical entity is deadly serious, but the guys that make tech slam are not stoic creatures. There’s a warmth and sense of joy when chatting with them that only gets brighter when you ask their favorite Metroid game (that’s a question for a live show). So, what is this vibe they are chasing? Sanjay shares:

“The tech slam imagery is based on Metroid lore, Doom lore, and we haven't written a song about it yet, but Alien as well. Those three things are brutal sci-fi universes, so we're trying to embody that sound. The slam riffs, you can connect the brutal killing of stuff with the brutal chunky riffs; that's been a match that's existed since the nineties. So that's the slam part, and then the tech part was harder to fit that vibe, so we kind of do it differently. I lean into very dissonance-vibe stuff, like Artificial Brain and Dysrhythmia. I think disso-death and heavy, they aren't usually paired together, even though they should be.”

“And then as far as chasing the vibe,” Noni adds, “I kind of go about it two ways. With the Metroid soundtrack or universe, that vibe, there's some dark and gloomy atmosphere, but there's a lot of pretty imagery as well. We wanted to find a way to match that very pretty, kind of out-there sound cohesively in songs with a very aggressive and guttural approach.”

Like another famous sci-fi horror masterpiece of a different media, Wormhole’s shifting, amorphous style is perfectly suited to blend in and amaze just about any fan of heavy music. That’s The Thing: they can pull off whatever they want, but it’s always boiled down to that tech slam vibe. Do you like tech, melody, breakdowns, atmosphere, or dissonance? Tech slam can fill whatever void you seek.

If previous albums were early generation, lower-resolution visions of tech slam, Almost Human is the 4K reboot, where you can see every pixel of terror and awe. Wormhole are absolutely ready for their closeup. Prepare your worms and your holes, tech slam is here to stay.

EXTREME Announce Tour + Share "THICKER THAN BLOOD" Video

Boston's EXTREME will return to the UK and Europe to spark a new revolution that will take over stages from London to Milan and all points in-between. Non-stop touring behind their rapturously received new album SIX has already seen the band crisscross the U.S., as well as thrill audiences in Australia and Japan.

To set off this next leg of their journey and prepare fans for the Extreme live experience, the band shared a new video for "THICKER THAN BLOOD," filmed from a unique perspective.

"With the 'Thicker Than Blood' video, we wanted to shoot a video that celebrates the fifth and most important member of the band — our fans," video co-director and Extreme guitarist Nuno Bettencourt explains. "So we shot it from the fan's point of view."

Watch the video
below.

Globe-spanning footage from California, Australia, and Japan shows just how intense the connection between band and fans can get in the live arena.

"No matter how great a band believes they are, you cannot achieve your dreams of touring the world and doing what you love most, performing, without your fans. It's the most important relationship in our career," Betterncourt continues.

With Living Colour supporting in the UK and many dates along the way already sold out, the excitement and anticipation for Extreme's return to these shores is electric... and "Thicker Than Blood" is high-wire proof of what the fuss is all about.

SIX is out now, stream it HERE.

Chase Rice Announces 'Get Western 2024 Tour' Launching in February

Following a summer of sold-out dates on his own headlining run, plus appearances with Jelly Roll and Old Dominion in arenas across the U.S. this fall, Diamond-certified songwriter and multi-Platinum star in his own right Chase Rice now brings his critically acclaimed album I Hate Cowboys & All Dogs Go To Hell to fans in Canada with the Get Western 2024 Tour.

Kicking off in Vancouver, the run will visit 11 Canadian cities including Calgary, Edmonton, Montreal and more throughout February. Rice will also preface the run with a headlining show in Seattle, Wash. earlier in the month.

Rising star and Canada native Owen Riegling joins as direct support across most dates, with Fort Worth-based singer-songwriter Palmer Anthony joining in Seattle and Vancouver. See the full list of dates below for details.

Tickets to all Canada dates go on sale this Friday, Nov. 24, while tickets for Seattle, Wash. are available to purchase now via
ChaseRice.com.

“From radio to live shows, Canada has always been so good to us,” notes Rice. “I had the chance to explore even more of the beautiful country during my time off from touring earlier this summer, and I can’t wait to come back in the new year for these shows with our Canadian fans.”

Fans will be treated to performances of Rice’s chart-topping hits as well as songs off his latest album,
I Hate Cowboys & All Dogs Go To Hell. Recorded during an immersive two-week period at Rice’s farm outside Nashville with producer Oscar Charles and a live band using a makeshift recording setup, the album showcases a more raw, vulnerable side of the man praised by the Tennessean for having “crashed through a glass ceiling both he and the industry had imposed on his career” with the project and by Billboard as “an artist who’s somehow managed to totally change his handwriting a decade in.”

About Chase Rice
With more than 2.4 million albums sold and over 2.5 billion total streams, plus a legion of passionate fans at his high-energy concerts across the globe, Chase Rice has established himself as a powerful force in Nashville and beyond. With the critically acclaimed album I Hate Cowboys & All Dogs Go To Hell crafted in his rural Tennessee home-turned-studio available everywhere now, Rice’s sound continues to evolve to reflect the realities of his life; from emotional reckoning to an admiration of the Western way of life. The new music, including current single “Bad Day To Be A Cold Beer” and standout track “Bench Seat,” serves as a follow up to his three-part project, The Album, featuring his latest Platinum-certified No. 1 hit, “Drinkin’ Beer. Talkin’ God. Amen. (feat. Florida Georgia Line)” and Platinum-certified Top 10 hit “Lonely If You Are.” This is the same gravelly-voiced Chase Rice fans first fell in love with years ago – but better, freer; unbeholden and uninhibited. The new music builds upon the success of his sophomore album, Lambs & Lions, which featured the 3x Platinum, two-week chart topper “Eyes On You” – Rice’s first No. 1 as an artist and the most-streamed song of his career. Lambs & Lions followed Platinum-certified Ignite the Night, which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums and No. 3 on the all-genre chart, producing a pair of Top 5 hits; Platinum-certified “Gonna Wanna Tonight” and Double Platinum “Ready Set Roll.” In addition to guesting on sold-out stadium shows with Kenny Chesney and Garth Brooks, Rice consistently sells out venues on his own headlining tours, including the recently-wrapped Way Down Yonder Tour in support of his new music.
