CURRENTS ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM THE DEATH WE SEEK OUT MAY 5 VIA SHARPTONE

TOUR WITH PARKWAY DRIVE + MEMPHIS MAY FIRE UNDERWAY

Connecticut metalcore dynamos CURRENTS have announced their new album The Death We Seek. It will arrive on May 5 via SharpTone. Pre-order it here

Today, the band has shared the video for "Remember Me." Watch it below.

"'Remember Me' is a statement to our growing divide between one another," says singer Brian Wille. "The dark side to technology's double-edged-sword is access to a font of information and public discourse, curated to engagement, and skewed to individual interest and world-view. The further we go in, the further we're separated from the middle ground and impartial truths. Over the course of the Internet's existence and the rise of social media empires, we're beginning to fracture our relationships with one another over anything we can fight about, even going as far as to relish in the chaos and division. You can see the exact same event and come out with instant, infinite perspectives across the ideological spectrum; painted on a mass public forum accessible to billions of people. Driven further by algorithms and advertising, poison can spread quickly and have lasting outcomes on how we see eachother and the world around us."

He finishes, "While disagreement and debate are not new, nor the real enemy here, we've all felt a particular strain to our closest ties over the last three years. This song is the release of that frustration and loss, and a call to find what brings us together and work through what set us apart. Whether it's a personal issue or an ideological impasse, we can all do better to practice empathy, understanding, and trust in those around us; that’s the only way we can collectively see through what’s real, and what's interest-driven spectacle."

The band has also shared the news that guitarist Ryan Castaldi is battling lymphoma. A GoFundMe has been set up here and details his prognosis. Please share where able.

Currents are on the road with Parkway Drive and Memphis May Fire. All dates are below.

ABOUT CURRENTS:
Leveling everything in their path with crushing intensity and raw emotional confession, CURRENTS set new standards for dissonance, dissatisfaction, and existential dread, with unstoppable fury.

The band plays an overwhelming and jaw-dropping mixture of metallic hardcore, aggressive melody, and electronic texture. Currents aren't afraid to look inward with stark examinations of failure, heartache, and one's responsibility to the world.

Heady and ferocious, The Death We Seek is Currents at both their most powerful and most vulnerable. Songs like "Unfamiliar," "Vengeance," "Remember Me," and "So Alone" are unflinching explorations of rugged emotional terrain. Currents are uncompromisingly heavy and as raw as a nerve exposed.

They've taken their visceral maelstrom on tour around the world, supporting bands like Ice Nine Kills, Parkway Drive, August Burns Red, Fit For A King, As I Lay Dying, and We Came As Romans. A combination of their diverse influences, channeled through unique perspectives and personal experiences, Currents alternate between thoughtful and unhinged. Those well-versed in the likes of Meshuggah, Vildhjarta, and Architects have embraced Currents with full-throated passion.

Currents is frontman Brian Wille; guitarists Chris Wiseman and Ryan Castaldi; bassist Chris Pulgarin; and drummer Matt Young. A winding DIY road through earlier lineups resulted in a series of self-released EPs, all leading to the band's acclaimed debut album, The Place I Feel Safest (2017).

The five-song I Let The Devil In EP (2018) came shortly after, co-produced by Wiseman and Ryan Leitru (For Today, We Came As Romans, Like Moths To Flames). The pair also produced the band's stunning sophomore full-length, The Way It Ends (2020). Metal Hammer praised that record's mixture of rage, beauty, and electronic-laden melodic aggression as "immediately addictive."

Leitru and Wiseman co-produced The Death We Seek, and the band's guitarist engineered Wille's vocals himself for the first time. Jeff Dunne (Wage War, Ice Nine Kills, Make Them Suffer) mixed, making for a massive yet nuanced slab that serves as a Currents mission statement going forward.

The lyrics are thoughtful yet accessible, eschewing easy sloganeering for depth. Massive breakdowns, a driving onslaught of riffs, and black metal-worthy beats juxtapose against moments of ambiance, tranquility, and stripped-back melancholy amidst the dense, weighty madness.

The band keeps a dedicated focus that ensures each release serves a purpose, with a cohesive journey from start to finish, as complete artistic statements vs. a disconnected batch of songs.

Across all three albums, in every live show, and with each increasingly cinematic piece of visual storytelling, Currents fearlessly search for meaning amidst uncertain chaos. Abuse, depression, neglect; no trauma spared. They also cast their gaze outward, offering no mercy to an exploitative system that inflicts harm on people, animals, and the Earth.

As New Noise rightfully declared: "CURRENTS is a band not to be ignored."

The Devil Wears Prada Share "Cancer" Video — WATCH

SONG LIVES ON NEW ALBUM COLOR DECAY OUT NOW VIA SOLID STATE

BAND TOURING WITH AUGUST BURNS RED THIS WINTER

The Devil Wears Prada — Mike Hranica [vocals], Jeremy DePoyster [vocals, guitar], Mason Nagy [bass], Kyle Sipress [guitar], Jonathan Gering [keys, synthesizers], and Giuseppe Capolupo [drums] — have shared the video for their new single "Cancer."

Watch it below.

The track lives on their eighth album Color Decay, out now via Solid State. Get it here.

"Lyrically, this song is about how many of the people I have looked up to and idolized have ended up committing suicide," says Gering. "It is something that has always made me question if I was on the right path in my own life. During the recording process, we learned of a another death, and I immediately assumed it was suicide. It ended up that this person had been secretly battling cancer for years, and for some reason, that made me feel relieved. The track addresses how messed up that thought process is and the guilt that comes along with it. The song and album end with the original iphone voice memo of when we were writing the song and it's pitched down because we changed the key."

TDWP will hit the road with August Burns Red next month. All dates are below.

ABOUT TDWP:
The Devil Wears Prada have been consistently delivering since forming in 2005. Fans voted 2009's seminal With Roots Above and Branches Below one of the 5 Greatest Metalcore Albums in a Revolver poll, with the magazine christening it "a true metalcore landmark." The group has notched six consecutive Top 5 debuts on the Billboard Top Hard Rock Albums Chart, including Dead Throne [2011], 8:18 [2013], Space EP [2015], Transit Blues [2016], The Act [2019], and ZII EP [2021]. The latter served as a sequel to one of their most beloved projects — 2010's Zombie EP. In the wake of the EP, the group exceeded a-quarter-of-a-billion cumulative streams and views. During 2021, the musicians decamped to remote hideaways together in Wisconsin and Desert Hot Springs, California. This time around, Jon took the reins as producer, collaborating closely to assemble a rich sonic architecture for what would become Color Decay.

After a 20-year hiatus, Les Claypool’s Fearless Flying Frog Brigade has announced its long-awaited return with the massive, 41-date Summer of Green Tour 2023, which will mark the band’s first appearances since summer 2003. Kicking off in Stateline, NV on Wednesday, May 17th before winding its way from coast-to-coast, the tour will feature several festival appearances, including the Summer Camp Music Festival, the Mountain Music Festival, the Riverbend Music Festival, and the Peach Music Festival. Featuring Les Claypool (bass), Sean Lennon (guitar), Harry Waters (keys), Paulo Baldi (drums), Mike Dillon (percussion), and Skerik (horns), the set will include a full performance of Pink Floyd’s iconic tenth studio album ‘Animals,’ which was famously captured on the band’s second 2001 live recording ‘Live Frogs Set 2.’

“In an age of calibrated chaos, moral constipation, and conspiranoia, it is reassuring to know that certain frogs can and do fly,” Claypool comments.

Select June performances will include a co-headlining set with Jerry Harrison and Adrian Belew’s ‘Remain In Light’ Tour, which finds the Talking Heads members performing songs from a monumental period of the band’s history alongside a powerhouse band. Additional support throughout the tour include Fishbone, Neal Francis, Budos Band, W.I.T.C.H., and Moon Duo.

A limited pre-sale, including VIP upgrade options, will go on sale February 1 at 10am local time, using the code WHAMOLA.  General public on sale is this Friday, February 3 at 10am local time. All show and ticket/VIP information can be found at http://www.lesclaypool.com/

Formed by Claypool in the summer of 2000 during a short break from Primus, the Fearless Flying Frog Brigade made its debut appearance at the Mountain Aire Festival before embarking on several celebrated US tours. Described by Claypool as “kind of a King Crimson meets Pink Floyd meets Frank Zappa type thing," the band released two live albums in 2001, as well as a studio album ‘Purple Onion’ in 2002. The band’s most recent performance took place on May 10th, 2003 at the House of Blues in Orlando, Florida.

The return of the Fearless Flying Frog Brigade follows a busy year for Claypool, who in addition to performing with Bastard Jazz on NYE and throughout winter 2022, traveled the country with Primus for the band’s wildly popular ‘A Tribute To Kings’ Tour, and appeared alongside Ween at Comedy Central’s South Park: 25th Anniversary Concert” at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Last year also saw the release of Primus’ first new music in more than five years, the sprawling 3-song ‘Conspiranoid’ EP, which included the epic 11-minute opening track, “Conspiranoia,” and second single, “Follow The Fool.”

Claypool is one of the most unlikely success stories in entertainment history. His trademark voice, thumping bass lines and unique worldview have become the calling cards for a number of wildly successful and influential albums in the last two decades. But through his myriad of musical and creative projects, Claypool has also become a favorite of jam banders, funk connoisseurs and pretty much everything in-between.

“Let’s put it this way … I think, with Primus and without, I’ve played every music festival in the last ten years, except Lilith Fair,” he comments. “You could say I’m the guy who doesn’t fit in anywhere, but a little bit everywhere.”

ABOUT BEARTOOTH:
Beartooth, the band Forbes declared is "inching towards a tipping point of becoming the latest arena headliner," dropped their latest anthem "RIPTIDE" in 2022 and it saw frontman Caleb Shomo put the pain of the past in the rearview mirror as he takes the steering wheel from fate to command his own destiny. The track memorializes the struggle with mental health and self-acceptance, which has defined so much of Beartooth since its inception. Shomo started this band in his basement, playing all the instruments to challenge and purge inner darkness, purely for himself at first. As the band he assembled to play the songs traveled, they discovered how many people recognized the same demons.  As KERRANG! observed, "Caleb Shomo is one of his generation's most remarkable songwriters." It's a testament to the purity of intention manifested by the multi-instrumentalist from the start. Songs like "The Past is Dead," "Fed Up," and "In Between" have pushed BEARTOOTH past a billion streams. The band's fourth album, Below, topped the Rock, Hard Music, and Alternative charts in 2021 and found its way into Best Rock/Metal Albums of the Year lists assembled by the likes of Revolver, Rock Sound, Loudwire, Knotfest, and a slew of like-minded media outlets. The band also graced its first Revolver cover in Summer 2021. Beartooth's marriage of colossally catchy choruses and post-hardcore-soaked-in-sweaty-metal is without rival. Its effect is evident by their deeply engaged audience; tours with Slipknot, Bring Me The Horizon, and A Day To Remember; and an RIAA-certified gold plaque.

ABOUT TRIVIUM:
Trivium released their tenth full-length, In the Court of the Dragon, through longtime label Roadrunner Records in 2021. The record was produced and mixed by Josh Wilbur. The band has continued to receive International acclaim from The New York Times, NPR, Forbes, Billboard, KERRANG!, NME, TechCrunch, Kotaku, Alternative Press, Revolver, and more. That's because Trivium have been steadily building a rock solid foundation. The band released its now-canonical album Ascendancy in 2005. It was recognized as KERRANG!'s "Album of the Year," achieved a gold certification in the UK, and eclipsed sales of 500,000 worldwide. It ignited a string of six consecutive Top 25 debuts on the Billboard Top 200 and five straight Top 3 debuts on the Top Hard Rock Albums Chart, culminating on 2017's benchmark The Sin And The Sentence. That album elevated the group's total stream tally past a quarter-of-a-billion. Additionally, "Betrayer" received a GRAMMY® Award nomination in the category of "Best Metal Performance." They followed with What the Dead Men Say in 2020, which landed the band on several year-end "Best Of" lists. Through the years, Trivium performed alongside Metallica, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, and many others and graced the main stages of Download, Bloodstock, KNOTFEST, and more. After two decades, 10 albums, hundreds of sold out shows, and nearly a billion catalog streams on Spotify, Trivium actualize the all-encompassing ambition they first set in motion back in 1999.

ABOUT TARJA:
The brightest star of the symphonic rock scene, Tarja Turunen is certainly the most internationally well-known Finnish voice in the world of music. Soprano, composer, and songwriter, she reached international fame co-founding and being for nine years the voice and image of the Finnish symphonic metal band Nightwish, collecting with them Gold and Platinum Record Awards in several countries.

The unique combination of metal music with Tarja's soprano lead vocals gave birth to a new genre, quickly achieving critical and commercial popularity and inspiring many other metal bands and performers. But singing only somebody else's creations was not her destiny, and her talent could fully bloom only outside that crate. Tarja had to walk alone.

Finally free to follow her own inspirations, heart, and dreams, Tarja started her own solo career successfully devoted to both classical and rock music.

Tarja was nominated for the Emma Award in Finland in 2006 and 2007 and for the Echo Award in Germany in 2007, and she is the first Finnish solo artist to achieve a Gold Record in Germany and even more, the only one to do it both in a band and as solo artist. In 2015 and 2016, she was also busy starring as coach in two seasons of The Voice of Finland, which is the most watched TV-program from Channel 4 in Finland and leading her team to victory for two years in a row, something that never happened before in the history of the Finnish show.

After over 15 years of a solo career, it was finally time to celebrate. The Best Of: Living the Dream combines the best and most beloved songs from Tarja’s prolific solo career in one outstanding package.

Falling In Reverse Drop "Watch the World Burn" Video — WATCH // Tour With Papa Roach Kicks Off This Week🌎🔥

WINTER 2022 ROCKZILLA TOUR WITH PAPA ROACH KICKS OFF ON FEBRUARY 1

FALLING IN REVERSE are already kicking 2023's ass with a new single and tour.

The song is another epic anthem that finds frontman Ronnie Radke laying his lyrical cards up on the table while his vocal style escalates from a rhythmic cadence to an earth-shaking howl.

Falling In Reverse continue to explode by leaps and bounds in this nascent decade. The band's catalog has clocked over 2.7 billion — yes, billion — streams. ABOUT FALLING IN REVERSE:
Platinum-selling rock band Falling In Reverse, lead by outspoken and charismatic singer Ronnie Radke, have been completely dominating the radio and streaming space in this new decade. The band, which formed back in 2008 and built itself as a mainstay of the Warped Tour scene while gracing many Alternative Press covers, has seen its latest single "Zombified" hit No. 1 Billboard's Hot Hard Rock Songs Chart. The band has also been generating nearly 50 million total streams per month. Falling In Reverse's previous chart-topping single "Popular Monster" earned platinum RIAA status. The track is truly a juggernaut and is a watershed moment for the band. "Popular Monster" has been streamed nearly half-a-billion times and has emerged as one of the biggest anthems of the past several years. It enjoyed a multi-week stint at No. 1 on the rock radio charts, landing in the top spot on the Mediabase Active Rock Chart, Billboard's Hot Hard Rock Chart, and the Nielsen Rock Chart, and marked the first No.1 single of the band's career. It followed the gold certification of the band's 2011-released debut album The Drug in Me Is You and a sold-out anniversary tour. During the shutdown that was a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, Radke quickly established himself as one of the most popular musicians streaming on the Twitch platform. In Winter 2022, the band returned to the road and embarked on the sold-out "Live From the Unknown" tour, further cementing its status as one of the top live draws in the genre. Falling In Reverse have continued to catch the eye of the press, with their career arc being spotlighted by top-tier, tastemaking publications such as Forbes, Billboard, New York Times, Pitchfork, and beyond.

SHOCK ROCK MOVIE FILMMAKERS RELEASE EXTENDED TRAILER

Shock Rock Movie directors, LORD ZANE (SOCIETY 1) and DAGON DESTROYER, have just released an extended trailer. The public can now watch 7 minutes and 25 seconds of footage now available on Youtube. Familiar faces you’ll see in the film’s trailer are DAVE NAVARRO, JACOBY SHADDIX (PAPA ROACH), KELLY CLARKSON, ALICE COOPER, and WAYNE STATIC (STATIC-X).

The film follows the life of MATT “THE LORD” ZANE, notorious front-man of SOCIETY 1, who is known for his extreme on-stage antics, including body suspension, live orgies, face humping hecklers, and stage masturbation. At one point, Matt Zane was the most famous porn director known for his Backstage Sluts films, which solds millions of copies worldwide. Matt Zane would go on to break several world records, including suspending from 4 meat hooks at Download Festival while he performed with his band in front of a hundred-thousand people.

DAGON DESTROYER (film co-director) comments, “Matt Zane is a character that has always fascinated me. The entertainment industry hates him, and yet celebrities use him for their careers. I’ve seen documentaries on shock rock and shocking performance artists, and Matt Zane is never mentioned. It’s like he’s purposely ignored in an attempt to erase him from history.”

MATT ZANE mentions in the film that the moral landscape is so different now than it was 20 years ago, and that he’s worried about how the band will be received during their 2023 reunion tour.

“The band is getting millions of views on TikTok for stage antics we just won’t replicate in today’s political climate. I know some things will cross the line but others I’m not so sure about. It’s difficult to know how far we’re going to be able to push it in 2023.”

A part of the movie will be filmed on SOCIETY 1’s tour with STATIC-X, FEAR FACTORY, and DOPE in 2023. The filmmakers are currently working with their distributor on the
film’s release date.

Morgan Wallen Announces Third Album, ONE THING AT A TIME: 3/3/23

MORGAN WALLEN’S THIRD ALBUM:
ONE THING AT A TIME OUT MARCH 3

Deeply Personal Album Combines Wallen’s Musical Influences –
Country, Alternative & Hip-Hop

OUT TONIGHT:  Three NEW Songs:
“Last Night,” “Everything I Love” and “I Wrote The Book”

Morgan Wallen took to social media earlier today to share official details about his third studio project, One Thing At A Time, set for release on Big Loud / Mercury / Republic worldwide on Friday, March 3, 2023.

Opening with confessional “Born With A Beer In My Hand” and closing with poignant “Dying Man,” Wallen takes the listener on a very personal journey throughout the expansive project.

“This record represents the last few years of my life, the highs and the lows,” Wallen shares. “It also brings together the musical influences that have shaped me as an artist – country, alternative and hip-hop. There are 36 songs on this album because we just kept exploring with fresh lyrics, music and production ideas and these are the songs that felt right to me. It was a blast to create, and I was so grateful to be back in the studio to lay this out for my fans.”

Showcasing his wide-ranging influences and creativity – he interpolated The Allman Brothers' “Midnight Rider” – showcased on “Everything I Love;” a sample of Young Thug’s “Lifestyle” interpolated on “180 (Lifestyle);” collaborations with Eric Church on “Man Made A Bar,” HARDY on “In The Bible,” and “Cowgirls” with ERNEST; finishing with “Dying Man” (Codeine it got Elvis / Whiskey it got Hank / I always thought somethin’ like that / Might send me on my way) – the prolific album runs the gambit.

“I just try to tell it how it is – the good, the bad, the love, the heartbreak. That’s all I know how to do,” says Wallen. “My hope is that this album makes my fans proud; makes ‘em laugh, smirk, cry, and think – just like it did for me.”

Furthering the connection to his roots, Wallen’s sister, Ashlyne Wallen, sings harmony on “Outlook.” He recalls, “I grew up in church singing three-part harmonies with my two sisters. That’s how I learned to sing, so this was a full-circle moment for Ashlyne and me.” The cover art also holds family significance for Wallen – photographed at the home of his Mamaw (Grandmother) Boots, who is no longer with us. “My Mamaw Boots helped raise me. I had such a special bond with her, so I wanted to honor her with this new record.”

Three new songs off the album arrive tonight to start the countdown to One Thing At A Time; Last Night,” “Everything I Love” and “I Wrote The Book."

Wallen has continually released music since 2021’s Dangerous: The Double Album, which remains Billboard’slongest running Top 10 album in history for a solo artist with 104-and-counting total weeks spent in the Top 10 (eclipsing Adele’s 21 and Bruce Springsteen’s Born In The USA).

With so much new music, the stage is set for his One Night At A Time World Tour. Produced by Live Nation in North America and Frontier Touring in Australia/New Zealand, his 63-date/30 stadium show tour kicks off overseas March 15-24 in New Zealand and Australia with HARDY before returning stateside on April 15 at Milwaukee’s American Family Field, then hitting New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium, Chicago’s Wrigley Field, and Boston’s Fenway Park with Parker McCollum, and wrapping on Oct. 7 at Tacoma Dome in Washington. ERNEST and Bailey Zimmerman support across U.S. and international dates.

ABOUT MORGAN WALLEN
Hailed by Billboard for making “his superstar arrival as a touring artist” in 2022, Morgan Wallen recently wrapped his record-shattering 55-show Dangerous Tour with his first headlining stadium show at Globe Life Field in Arlington, TX, which saw him shatter attendance records previously held by Elton John and Lady Gaga. Now, the CMA Entertainer of the Year nominee who broke records in 30 venues across the country - with the only country tour nominated for Pollstar’s Major Tour of the Year - will embark on a massive world tour in 2023. Spanning 30 stadium shows across 4 countries and 2 continents, plus arenas, amphitheaters and festivals, Wallen’s 63-show 2023 One Night At A Time World Tour will deliver the man The New Yorker dubbed as “the most wanted man in country” to fans worldwide.

With over 13.6 billion on-demand streams and seven chart-toppers at Country radio, the East Tennessean’s latest hit, “You Proof,” became his fastest climbing single to-date, reaching No. 1 after just 14 weeks and remaining at No. 1 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart for a record-breaking ten non-consecutive weeks. His follow-up single “Thought You Should Know,” dedicated to his mother, has been lauded by Outsider as his “most personal track to date.” On the heels of the unparalleled success of his 4x platinum, ACM Album of the Year, Dangerous: The Double Album (Big Loud/Mercury/Republic Records) – which topped 2021's all-genre Billboard 200 Albums year-end chart and notched historical chart status as Billboard’s longest running Top 10 album in history for a solo artist, with 104 total weeks spent in the Top 10 (eclipsing Adele’s 21 and Bruce Springsteen’s Born In The USA). Wallen’s 36-song deeply personal third studio album, One Thing At A Time, arrives March 3, 2023. The American Music Awards’ Favorite Male Country Artist and Favorite Country Song (“Wasted On You”) winner continues to touch fans’ lives in ways few can; Pollstar noting “[he has] the ability to distill his life in a way that pulls others to him.” Thanks to those very fans, the superstar has raised nearly $3 million dollars for causes close to his heart with $3 from every U.S. ticket sold for each tour benefitting the Morgan Wallen Foundation.

Unyielding darkness and brutality emerge from the deep south of the United States.  Atlanta, GA based quartet CLOAK blend the sounds of black metal, rock ‘n’ roll, and homegrown Southern sludge to create their own unique and menacing sound.

Their debut full-length, 'To Venomous Depths,' (2017) was met with critical acclaim upon its release. Decibel Magazine placed it at #20 among their “Top 40 Albums of 2017,” solidifying the band’s place among the heavy metal elite. Now, CLOAK is back with 'The Burning Dawn,' a riff-heavy and groove-laden follow-up that proves the band are still rife with fresh ideas.

Conceptually, the record comes from a place below the surface where the sleepless and sinister dwell, and is absorbed by the darkest of dreams and the most primal desires. Musically, this exploration takes the gothic nuances of its predecessor while abandoning any hesitation in exchange for a more aggressive and vehement spirit.

While rippers like “On Poisoned Ground” and “Into the Storm” deliver a fury of soulful aggression, songs like “Lifeless Silence” and “The Fire, The Faith, The Void” offer a darker, gothic essence, ultimately displaying CLOAK’s multi-faceted and dynamic musical diversity. So, raise your fists and set fire to the world; this is 'The Burning Dawn.'

Line-up
Scott Taysom – Vocals & Guitar
Max Brigham – Guitar
Sean Bruneau – Drums
Billy Robinson – Bass

ABOUT ALICE COOPER:
Alice Cooper pioneered a grandly theatrical brand of hard rock that was designed to shock. Drawing equally from horror movies, vaudeville, and garage rock, the group created a stage show that featured electric chairs, guillotines, fake blood and boa constrictors. Alice Cooper brings his own brand of rock psycho-drama to fans both old and new, enjoying it as much as the audience does. Twenty-plus years into the new millennium, Cooper is always very productive and busy, touring worldwide year-in and year-out while also writing, recording and releasing new albums like 2021's "Detroit Stories," which entered the Billboard Album chart at #1, and finishing up TWO new albums planned for 2023, while also continuing to do his nightly "Nights With Alice Cooper" syndicated radio show.

"If you film your band for 20+ years and never do anything with it, you end up with a box full of VHS and hi-8 tapes like what happened to me," says singer Cory Brandan. "Instead of making that expensive documentary you were always hoping to make, just make a three- minute music video instead."

Norma Jean will also hit the road on a headline tour with Fire From the Gods and Greyhaven as support. All dates are below.

ABOUT NORMA JEAN:
Norma Jean — Cory Brandan [vocals], Grayson Stewart [lead guitar], Clay Crenshaw [guitar/bass], Matt Marquez [drums], and Michael Palmquist [guitar/bass] — plunge into unparalleled emotional depths on the new album. The band unearthed a searing signature style on O' God, the Aftermath in 2005. They struck up a creative partnership with iconic producer Ross Robinson on the seminal Redeemer [2007] and The Anti Mother [2008]. The latter notably boasted appearances by Chino Moreno of Deftones and Page Hamilton of Helmet. Following the acclaimed Meridional [2010], Wrongdoers [2013] represented a critical high watermark with a 9-out-of-10 score from Rock Sound and 9-out-of-10 score from Outburn. On the heels of Polar Similar [2016], they reached another level on All Hail [2019]. In a perfect 5-star review, New Noise Magazine raved, "All Hail is yet another momentous accomplishment on their part," while Kerrang! attested, "All Hail's ambition and execution is worthy of worship." Along the way, they toured with everyone from Rob Zombie and Korn to Mastodon, Lamb of God, and more. During 2021, they recorded what would become Deathrattle Sing For Me with longtime collaborator Jeremy SH Griffith. They nodded to inspirations as diverse as Alice In Chains' Dirt, The Smashing Pumpkins' Siamese Dream, and the sample-and-riff onslaught of White Zombie's La Sexorcisto: Devil Music Volume 1

Ian Munsick Adds Seven New Dates to LONG LIVE COWGIRLS TOUR

Ned LeDoux Joins As Special Guest On Select Stops

New Dates Include Munsick’s First Headlining Arena Shows in Iowa, Nebraska
And Montana + Previously Announced Ryman Auditorium Headlining Show

Celebrate the One-Year Anniversary of the Track That Inspired It All
With “
Long Live Cowgirls (Me and a Fiddle)” Out Now

With high demand and numerous sold-out shows marking his 2023 return to the road, Wyoming native Ian Munsick extends his recently launched Long Live Cowgirls Tour into May 2023 with seven new dates. The run includes his first headlining arena shows at the Horizon Events Center in Clive, Iowa; Liberty First Credit Union Arena in Ralston, Nebraska and First Interstate Arena at MetraPark in Billings, Montana; as well as his previously announced Ryman Auditorium headlining debut. Tickets for the run are available HERE.

Fellow Wyoming native and son of country legend Chris LeDoux, Ned LeDoux will join Munsick on select dates. The tour, named after the song that has garnered over 74.5 million global streams to date and topped SiriusXM The Highway’s Hot 30 Countdown, kicked off Jan. 20 with a sold out show at the legendary Gruene Hall in New Braunfels, Texas. Today, in celebration of the one-year anniversary of its release, Munsick showcases his knack for strumming a fiddle with the special release of a stripped down version, “Long Live Cowgirls (Me and a Fiddle),” out now. Listen HERE.

“Since you guys have been selling out venues across Texas, the Midwest and the Southeast, I figured we better add more dates and head west on the Long Live Cowgirls Tour! We even added a few arenas for the very first time," Munsick shares. "And to make it even better, my buddy Ned LeDoux is joining us. Folks, you do not wanna miss this tour when it rolls through your town… it doesn’t get any more western than this!”

The Long Live Cowgirls Tour compliments the news of Munsick’s sophomore project White Buffalo, due April 7, 2023 on Warner Music Nashville. White Buffalo is an ode to the wild landscapes and complex characters of Munsick’s homeland, including a real-life glimpse of the bond between Native American and cowboy culture.

Reflecting on its meaning, Munsick notes, “The White Buffalo is a sacred symbol for the plains tribes of Native America. With its return brings prosperity and rebirth. Growing up a stones throw away from the Crow Reservation in southern Montana, Native American culture runs rich in our community through traditions, history and legends. I remember first hearing about The White Buffalo through my father. As rancher, musician and teacher, my dad has very close ties with members of the Crow, Sioux and Northern Cheyenne tribes from the classroom and the livestock trade. He passed down this love of Native American culture to my two older brothers and me.

"Towards the end of making this album, I knew the body of songs I had were special in that they paid tribute to the land and people I love most. My music had evolved with my life. Since my last album, I had become a father and husband… two life changing events. In a way I had been reborn, and so had my music. To pay homage to the culture of the region that raised me, White Buffalo was the perfect title to encapsulate this project. I hope it brings green grass and big medicine to whoever is looking for it.”

It’s a deep-seeded respect that is often misunderstood in other parts of the country, and one that Munsick hopes to shine a light on through the release of the album and unique collaborations with Native American artists, including Isaiah Stewart.

Stewart shares, “Ian and I have a passion for the West and the foundation that it was built on. I highlight and celebrate the early illustrations that built the identity of western cowboy culture that was compiled from all cultures that helped build it. My personal work focuses on the Native Cowboy that has developed from bareback warriors to ranchers in the saddle.”

White Buffalo has already yielded the loping “Horses & Weed,” faith-driven love song “More Than Me,” standout duet “Long Live Cowgirls” with two-time CMA Award winner Cody Johnson and Munsick’s recent release “River Run.” Lauded by Billboard for its “gorgeous fiddle,” the “organic musical romp” paints a vivid image of the beauty of love, longing and their natural symbolism. Pre-order the album HERE and listen to “River Run” HERE.

About Ian Munsick:
A native son of Wyoming, Ian Munsick is painting a stampeding, spirited portrait of the American West with his sophomore album White Buffalo, due April 7. The 18-track album spans unfiltered tales of romance and ranch life, hard-working anthems with honky tonk hooks and mountain-time odes to family and forever-young fun. It builds upon the spacious, roots-pop beauty he introduced on his major label debut, Coyote Cry. Over the past three years, Munsick has accumulated nearly 400 MILLION global streams and a host of accolades. The 29-year-old has been named an “Artist to Watch” by Spotify, CMT, Fender, MusicRow and more. A seasoned entertainer, having grown up tending cattle by day and playing music in a family band each night, Munsick toured recently alongside country music superstars Morgan Wallen and Cody Johnson. Beyond his noteworthy professional accomplishments, he has also become both a husband and a father. Now the Warner Music Nashville recording artist and multi-instrumentalist is representing his home, and its special cast of people, like never before. The first release from White Buffalo, standout duet “Long Live Cowgirls” (with Cody Johnson), hit No. 1 on SiriusXM’s The Highway Hot 30 Countdown and was named one of Amazon Music’s Best Country Songs of 2022. Fans of Ian Munsick will always find an open heart, natural awe and plainspoken honesty as he rides on… bringing the West to the rest.

About Ned LeDoux:
One of the most incredible things about great music is that it has the ability to take the listener to a place they’d rather be. A compelling song can carry someone back in time to a treasured memory, or transport a person to a spectacular western prairie they’ve only visited in their dreams. Ned LeDoux’s music has that kind of power. As a songwriter, he has a knack for bringing people, places and emotions vibrantly to life with his insightful lyrics, and warm, strong voice that makes him sound like a beloved friend you always want to hang out with. Those gifts are fully on display on LeDoux’s new album Buckskin.

“I’m writing my own story and if people take a liking to it, that’s wonderful,” says LeDoux. “As long as I’m writing from the heart, and writing about what I know, I can definitely listen back to it and be proud.”

Ned LeDoux is carrying on the family tradition created by legendary father Chris LeDoux, but he’s also charting his own course, and Buckskin is the latest step on that journey. “I hope I inspire people to never forget where you came from,” he says. “That’s one thing I’m very proud of. I’m carrying on a tradition, but I’m writing my own story. I’m very proud of my family and friends and there’s one piece of advice my mom gave me when we were kids: ‘Never forget where you came from and show respect to people no matter where you are.’ So with this album I hope to inspire and show people, ‘Hey this old cowboy isn’t changing for nobody.’ I want people to know they should never give up on a dream. There’s always time. Just keep on going.”

Eckerström says, "'Violence No Matter What' is about one thing and one thing only. It's ok to debate and fight and to think differently. But there is a limit, and the line must be drawn at authority held with violence, a world view that cannot survive without enemies, a promised return to a fabricated former glory."

Hale says, "'Violence No Matter What' was such an inspiring piece to be a part of! Thank you so much to the boys for giving me the opportunity to express my angst against the horrors of this world through such a brilliant song!"

The almighty Avatar will also return to the road this spring on a headline tour that kicks off April 28 in Omaha and runs through May 28 in Pittsburgh. Veil of Maya and Orbit Culture will support. All dates are below, including key spring festival appearances.

King’s live show is a “… showcase for her range from soulful crooning to guttural singing and head-banging to the rock and roll sound of the drumming and electric guitar solo,” said the San Francisco Riff. American Songwriter highlighted her performance as one of the “8 Moments We loved at This Year’s Pilgrimage Festival.” They noted, “She showcased her rock roots and her country twang on Sunday afternoon with a set that washed an air of levity over the crowd.”

ENSLAVED Release New Single "Forest Dweller"

Enslaved have released a new single and video from Heimdal, their 16th studio album due out on March 3rd 2023. 'Forest Dweller' launches with progressive splendor, guiding the listener into a churning, psychedelic journey through archaic Norse folklore. One might ask what lessons we can divine from our celestial ancestors? We might never understand their true intentions, but their echo will live on regardless.

Enslaved's Grutle Kjellson commented,

“To me 'Forest Dweller' was the most immediate song on the album, at least in its earliest form as an instrumental demo. I spent quite some time to get into some of the other songs of the album, but this one seemed somehow logical, well logical by Enslaved standards that is. I had an idea for a lyric, and Ivar’s amazing and diverse riffs on this one made it easy to pan out the scripture. I made a rough plan on what to sing over it, and we actually ended up using some parts of those recordings on the album!

The song sort of showcases our representative samples of inspiration: Led Zep, Genesis, Destruction, Iron Maiden and David Bowie, to mention a schizophrenic tapestry of influences. It mirrors in the lyrics as well, which deals about both darkness and light in connection to the nature of Heimdal.”

You can pre-order Heimdal here: https://enslaved.bfan.link/heimdal.ema

Heimdal, is both a departure and a communion with roots forged over three decades ago in the turbulent birth throes of Norway’s black metal scene. The record is named after Heimdal, arguably the most mysterious entity in Nordic mythology.

The record features psychedelic track 'Caravans To The Outer Worlds' from last year's EP of the same name. Album bonus versions contain an extra track, 'Gangandi', alongside a Blu-Ray copy of 2021's stunning Otherworldly Big Band Experience streamed event the band's boldest project to date, featuring fellow Norwegian prog band Shaman Elephant. The kaleidoscopic stage show features a stellar setlist, covering Enslaved's career, both past and present.

Heimdal was produced by Enslaved's own Ivar Bjørnson, Iver Sandøy and Grutle Kjellson. Mixing was handled by Jens Bogren at Fascination Street Studios, and the final treatment was mastered by Tony Lindgren. The concept and lyrics for Heimdal was, as always, developed by Ivar Bjørnson and Grutle Kjellson in tandem.

The album was recorded primarily at Solslottet Studios in Bergen, which is owned by Iver SandøySolslottet is a satellite of the well-known Duper Studios, where the drums were recorded and engineered by Iver himself, with assistance from Vegard Lemme. The main guitars, bass, pianos, organs, and vocals were also recorded at SolslottetArve 'Ice Dale' Isdal recorded his guitar leads at his own Earshot & Conclave Studios. The final touches and a few experimental ideas were added at the Overlook Hotel using Solslottet’s mobile studio rig. All music for Heimdal was written and demoed at Ivar Bjørnson’s own Crow’s Nest studio.

Never faltering, Norway’s iconic Enslaved continue to exist as one of the most original and dependable components in our scene's indestructible backbone. Possessing the reputation as one of the most riveting live acts around, they never fail to offer us talent of the highest calibre, always doing justice to their signature black/progressive sound. Enslaved was formed in 1991 by Ivar Bjørnson and Grutle Kjellson, releasing their first demo Yggdrasill in the summer of 1992, their legendary mini-album Hordanes Land coming out in 1993, and with their debut full-length Vikingligr Veldi arriving in the spring of 1994.

Enslaved in 2022 are a band in stellar form - a band at its most existentialist and self-conscious, proud Bergeners bearing the torch of their hometown’s extraordinary musical history. Their most recent material shows Enslaved at their most unleashed and thought-through - a lethal combination unfurling a potential that’s easily rekindling the furor of their early works while dancing gracefully through their most ambitious, most haunting and most musical tunes yet. A contradiction? Life itself is a contradiction. And yet we all live to prove it wrong.

Grutle Kjellson | vocals
Arve 'Ice Dale' Isdal | guitar

RICK WAKEMAN CBE RETURNS TO THE USA WITH A NEW SOLO SHOW

Keyboard wizard Rick Wakeman CBE is pleased to announce that he will be returning to the USA in March and April 2023, with his latest tour, AN EVENING WITH RICK WAKEMAN: HIS MUSIC AND STORIES, starting Wednesday, March 15 in Phoenixville, PA.

“It’s always so enjoyable playing in America,” Wakeman comments. “At every show, I see old friends and hopefully, make new ones.”

Wakeman’s set will consist of music taken from across the wide breadth of his 50-year-plus career, stripped back to its roots in arrangements for grand piano. It will include work from his early days as a session player arranging and performing keyboards on hits like David Bowie’s Life On Mars, through his groundbreaking stint with progressive rock band YES and his own multi-platinum solo albums, plus quirky covers of other acts like The Beatles.

And this glorious display of keyboard virtuosity will be punctuated by hilarious anecdotes and reminiscences of his life. Renowned as much for his irreverent sense of humour as his musical talent, as he himself says, all of Wakeman’s stories contain an element of truth; it’s up to the audience to decide how much!

In a departure from his previous solo tours, as well as playing a grand piano, Wakeman will also be bringing along a few electronic keyboards to add variety and texture to his set. “I’m looking forward to ringing the changes with the addition of keyboards, which is a bit of a departure from my traditional ‘piano shows’, but will give me the opportunity to vary the setlist.”

With over 50 million albums sold in five decades and an enviable reputation as a wit and raconteur, AN EVENING WITH RICK WAKEMAN: HIS MUSIC AND STORIES will be an opportunity to share musical memories and riotous reflections in the company of a true rock legend!

August Burns Red Drop "Backfire" Video — WATCH

NEW ALBUM DEATH BELOW OUT MARCH 24 VIA SHARPTONE RECORDS

20-YEAR ANNIVERSARY TOUR KICKS OFF NEXT MONTH

Grammy-nominated Lancaster five-piece AUGUST BURNS RED — JB Brubaker [lead guitar], Brent Rambler [rhythm guitar], Matt Greiner [drums], Jake Luhrs [vocals], and Dustin Davidson [bass] — have a big year in front of them.

The band will drop its new album Death Below on March 24 via SharpTone Records. Pre-order it here.

Today, they have dropped the video for the new single "Backfire." Watch it below.

"'Backfire' is song that musically is a punch in the face, and we wrote the lyrics to follow suit," says ABR. "The song is about choosing who you follow wisely, and not allowing people you've never met to influence the decisions you make in life. 'Backfire' ticks all the boxes when it comes to an ABR song."

The album features guest spots from guitarist Jason Richardson, as well as Jesse Leach of Killswitch Engage, JT Cavey of ERRA, and Spencer Chamberlain of Underoath.

ABR will also embark on the 20 Year Anniversary Tour, during which they will play material off all nine of their albums as they hit North America.

The first leg of the tour kicks off on February 15 in Silver Spring, MD and runs through March 14 in Charlotte, NC. The second leg launches on April 13 in Philadelphia, PA and wraps on May 12 in Quebec in Canada. The tour marks the first time the band has played Canada since 2019.

The support acts are The Devil Wears Prada, and Scottish band Bleed From Within, who are touring the U.S. for the first time. The bands will appear on both legs of the tour.

VIP packages are on sale right now at this location and include an exclusive, 200+ page photo book that spans each year of ABR's entire career.

ABOUT AUGUST BURNS RED:
August Burns Red is likely the only metal act ever described as "thrillingly empathetic" (Kerrang!). It's a testament to the ferocious band's ability to recognize and connect with the mixture of brokenness and hope found in their audience and within themselves. A hard-working collective with a shockingly stable lineup for the vast majority of their career, August Burns Red pour every ounce of themselves into their music. Atmospheric, riff-laden, aggressive bursts of controlled chaos, filled with shifting time signatures and tempos, deliver confessional, self-reflective, and authentic emotion.

Tour stops with Lamb of God, Killswitch Engage, Parkway Drive, and Bring Me the Horizon; several major international hard rock festivals (Rock Am Ring, Download, and Aftershock, to name a few); and the Vans Warped Tour are among the destinations around the world to witness ABR's live prowess. Massive headlining treks celebrating 10-year anniversaries for Constellations and Leveler demonstrated the enduring relevance of the band’s catalog, nearly 20 years into ABR's storied career. 2020's Guardians debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hard Music, Rock Albums, and Vinyl Albums charts.

Revolver, who put the band on their cover the same year, observed August Burns Red "embrace the pain so well." It's a truth never more evident than on Death Below, their stunning ninth studio album. Recorded with longtime producers Carson Slovak and Grant McFarland, Death Below encompasses all of the pissed-off strength of the band's past without sacrificing an ounce of catchy, melodic might. Death Below boasts guest appearances from ABR allies Jesse Leach (Killswitch Engage), Spencer Chamberlain (Underoath), Jason Richardson (All That Remains), and JT Cavey (ERRA). "It's getting difficult for the members of August Burns Red to keep one-upping themselves," marveled Billboard shortly before Guardians arrived. With Death Below, they emerge victorious again.

Additional Tour & Ticketing Info

Hailing from Chicago’s renowned Wax Trax! Records stable of artists, MY LIFE WITH THE THRILL KILL KULT have been conjuring up sonic tales of sex, blasphemy and kitschy horror since 1987. The band helped develop the industrial music genre, yet have continued to expand their style, creating one of the most diverse repertoires in modern music. Electronic rock, heavily influenced by both disco and funk can best describe their sound, while spoken-word samples lifted from B-movies gives the band their signature mark. They have released 14 studio albums, a slew of remix compilations, and have contributed to a variety of soundtracks and film scores, including a cameo performance in the 1994 cult movie classic The Crow.

Artist Franke Nardiello and musician Marston Daley, two Chicago neighbors who enjoyed late night binges watching trashy exploitation films and horror flicks, wanted to make their own movie to be called “My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult”. While the project never came to fruition, they wrote some music to be the accompanying soundtrack. Both worked at the Wax Trax record store, and when label founders Jim Nash and Dannie Flesher heard the songs, they were intrigued. Using the film title as the name of the band, they released a 3-song EP in early 1988. The response was overwhelming, and it was clear fans wanted to hear more.

Taking the stage names Groovie Mann (Nardiello) and Buzz McCoy (Daley), the duo began to focus on music full time. They created an occult meets leather biker image to compliment the band’s name which included enlisting a bevy of voluptuous back-up singers / dancers known as the BOMB GANG GIRLZ. In June of ’88, they flew to label mate Luc Van Acker’s studio in Belgium to record their first album, I See Good Spirits and I See Bad Spirits. It was recorded in just ten days, and mixed in another ten days at Southern Studiosin London. The fans ate it up! They followed up with two hard-hitting dance floor 12” tracks - Kooler Than Jesus (1989) and Cuz It’s Hot (1990), which features no-wave chanteuse Lydia Lunch on vocals. The New York Times wrote, “Sex, blasphemy, big beats and go-go dancing; they’re all in a day’s work for My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult”. This attracted the attention of indie fans, as well as the ire of the PMRC and conservative religious groups in practically equal measure. By the time of their sophomore release, Confessions Of A Knife (1990), they were far and away one of the biggest selling acts on the label.

1991 saw the release of their third album, Sexplosion!, a calculated sonic and visual departure from their previous work. 1950’s pin-up models replaced the demonic imagery, while sleazy stripper horns, disco beats and house diva vocals (provided by artist Shawn Christopher) took prominence over the more abrasive musical elaments. They put together a provocative stage show, complete with spinning police lights, mirror balls and a stocked bar with bartender to serve the scantily clad musicians and dancers while they performed. Alternative Press reviewed the show as “Sin-sational!”, while Melody Maker described it as “A Cabaret from Hell”. It was a huge success, and the album sold so well (fueled by the phenomenal radio hit “Sex On Wheelz”) that the group signed a deal with Interscope Records shortly afterwards and released two more albums - 13 Above the Night (1993), and Hit & Run Holiday (1995).

Hollywood also embraced the KULT, recognizing the unique cinematic aspect in their sound. Most notably, the band scored five songs for animator Ralph Bakshi’s Cool World (1992) and wrote the lap dance song for director Paul Verhoven's saucy Showgirls (1993). Comedies BASEketball and The Flintstones Movie prominently feature songs from the Hit & Run Holidayalbum. They have been roasted by MTV’s Beavis & Butthead, and were written into the story line of the film Sexy Evil Genius which also features the song "A Daisy Chain 4 Satan”. Most recently the club hit “Kooler Than Jesus” can be heard blasting in Season 3 of the Netflix series Narcos.

The band moved to Rykodisc in 1997 and re-released their entire remastered / repackaged catalog, along with five more studio albums, including an homage to 70’s disco era called Gay Black & Married, and the sultry and decadent Filthiest Show In Town (2007). They also formed their own label, SleazeBox Records, in 2001, enabling the release of a growing number of side-projects in addition to new TKK material.

Today SLEAZEBOX.com boasts the complete THRILL KILL KULT catalog, in addition to related works such as Mann’s DARLING KANDIE, and McCoy’s self titled projects. They continue to work with Wax Trax! Records for the purpose of re-issuing special limited edition vinyl. Buzz and Groovie still record and perform live along with veteran band mates Mimi Star (bass) and Justin Thyme (drums), all the while making a reputation for themselves as one of the most notorious and controversial cult bands of their generation.
