Society 1 Members Begin Filming Shock Rock Movie

Award winning director MATT "THE LORD" ZANE and co-director DAGON DESTROYER have begun working on a new film exploring the shock rock genre. This will be Zane's follow up to 2022's documentary "TheAltered Noise" which was about his former bandmate DV KARLOFF.

In the new film, DAGON and ZANE will be interviewing various artists as
well discussing their own contributions to the genre that they became
heavily involved with when ZANE began body suspension during the bands
performances in 2002.

In addition to interviews, ZANE's band SOCIETY 1 featuring DAGON on
drums will be followed by a camera crew when they hit the road for
next year's "Rise Of The Machine" tour with STATIC-X, FEAR FACTORY and DOPE.

"This isn't just going to be some rehash of a shock rock documentary.
Yes we'll have the interviews but it's also a story about my personal
experience with body suspension and if shock rock will be accepted in
this political climate during the next tour." said ZANE.

The movie will jump between the present and newly acquired footage of
the band during their most controversial times between the years 2002
and 2006.

"I'm making this film with Lord Zane who is arguably the most extreme
shock rocker of our generation. He suspended, over my drumset by
meathooks when I was only 18-years-old and my life was turned upside
down being subjected to such debaucherous and dangerous behavior while
we were on tour. Two decades later, we've rejoined forces to make a
film that sets out to tell the story of our lower nature and to give
people an insider look at the length performances artists are willing
to go to be remembered.
" said DAGON.

"I was 19 years old when we filmed our Nothing music video for the
album Exit Through Fear with Zane suspending over my drumset. The
tours afterward were insane. Everything about Society 1 was insane,
especially for a kid. It's surreal that we're joining forces again
after 20 years and that we're out with Fear Factory and Static-X. It's
a dream for me. These two bands are a huge part of my life." said
Dagon

FOREIGNER The Farewell Tour with special guest LOVERBOY Kicks Off July 6th, 2022 in Atlanta, GA.

FOREIGNER

THE HISTORIC FAREWELL TOUR

WITH SPECIAL GUEST LOVERBOY

KICKS OFF JULY 6TH IN ATLANTA, GA

TICKETS GO ON SALE NOVEMBER 18th AT LIVENATION.COM

“I Want To Know What Love Is”, “Cold As Ice,” “Hot Blooded,” “Juke Box Hero,” “Urgent,” and no less than five more Top 10 hits. Today, FOREIGNER, the band behind these iconic songs announced the launch of their Farewell Tour with special guest LOVERBOY.

The tour is set to launch on July 6, 2023, at Atlanta’s Ameris Bank Amphitheatre, the area’s largest outdoor venue. For the first leg of the US Live Nation tour, FOREIGNER will be joined by LOVERBOY, one of the 80’s biggest hit-makers. The spectacular show will thrill audiences with stellar performances of more than 20 combined chart-topping songs. Tickets go on sale on November 18, 2022 at LiveNation.com. The full routing can be found below.

FOREIGNER will continue its long-term initiative with the GRAMMY Museum Foundation to invite choirs to open the show with a live a cappella ‘Pitch Perfect’ performance of Classic Rock songs. FOREIGNER will join radio partners across the country to create a contest for local choirs to win donations to their music programs. One winning choir will be selected at each show, and that choir will receive a grand prize of new musical equipment.  For more details please go to foreignerchoirs.com.

Leader and founder of FOREIGNER, Mick Jones said, “Many years ago, I wrote a song called ‘Feels Like The First Time’ and today we are launching one last worldwide tour.  We will be presenting a show that I know will have the same enthusiasm as our very first appearances.  The tour will start this summer in America and we hope to get to every place that we have played over the last several years.  While I’m sure our fans will have mixed feelings about the end of the road for the band, I know our shows are going to delight audiences everywhere.”

Says FOREIGNER lead singer Kelly Hansen, "The time has come. We have more or less lived our lives on the road for almost eighteen years.  We have always strived to give you our best and we intend to finish this the same way. Foreigner has a brilliant and increasingly demanding catalogue of songs to sing and I refuse to give them less than they deserve. So, we’re going to finish strong. I want to make it very clear how grateful and appreciative we are to our audiences all over the world who have supported this band.  I’m sure there may be occasions when we’ll do some special appearances, but I think the time is coming for us to live off the road. Thank you all so much!”

"I remember how cool the last time we toured with Foreigner was in 1982.  We played to massive stadiums - New Orleans, Kansas City, Day On the Green in Oakland, JFK in Philly - and we’re back together again, 41 years later.  It's going to be the Tour of Summer ’23!" said Paul Dean of LOVERBOY.

"It’s not very often you get a chance to play on the same stage as one of your all-time favorite bands...and how many hit songs can you play on the same stage every night of a 2023 Summer tour?….. it’s going to be amazing…. I can’t wait." Said Mike Reno of LOVERBOY.

Mick Jones continues to elevate FOREIGNER’s influence and guide the band to new horizons with his stylistic songwriting, indelible guitar hooks and multi-layered talents while lead singer Kelly Hansen, one of rock’s greatest showmen, has led FOREIGNER into the digital age inspiring a whole new generation of fans. Bassist Jeff Pilson; Michael Bluestein on keyboards; guitarist Bruce Watson; Chris Frazier on drums and guitarist Luis Maldonado provide an unprecedented level of energy that has resulted in the re-emergence of the astounding music that speaks to FOREIGNER‘s enduring popularity.  FOREIGNER has an extraordinary streaming and radio audience.  Click here for an overview of Classic Rock artists’ stats.

With more Top 10 hits than Journey and ten multi-platinum albums, FOREIGNER is universally hailed as one of the most popular rock acts in the world with a formidable musical arsenal that continues to propel sold-out tours and album sales, now exceeding 80 million.  Responsible for some of rock and roll’s most enduring anthems including “Juke Box Hero,” “Cold As Ice,” “Hot Blooded,” “Waiting For A Girl Like You,” “Feels Like The First Time,” “Urgent,” “Head Games,” “Say You Will,” “Dirty White Boy,” “Long, Long Way From Home” and the worldwide #1 hit, “I Want To Know What Love Is,” FOREIGNER still rocks the charts more than 40 years into the game with massive airplay and continued Billboard Top 200 album success.  Streams of FOREIGNER’s hits are approaching 15 million per week.

With their trademark red leather pants, bandanas, big rock sound and high-energy live shows, LOVERBOY has sold more than 10 million albums, earning four multi-platinum plaques, including the four-million-selling “Get Lucky,” and a trio of double-platinum releases in their self-titled 1980 debut, 1983’s “Keep It Up” and 1985’s “Lovin’ Every Minute of It.” Their string of hits includes, in addition to the anthem “Working for the Weekend,” such arena rock staples as “Lovin’ Every Minute of It,” “This Could Be the Night,” “Hot Girls in Love,” “The Kid is Hot Tonite,” “Notorious”, “Turn Me Loose,” “When It’s Over,” “Heaven In Your Eyes” and “Queen of the Broken Hearts.”  The group still features the original line-up of vocalist Mike Reno, guitarist Paul Dean, drummer Matt Frenette and keyboardist Doug Johnson with bassist Ken “Spider” Sinnaeve replacing the late Scott Smith.

SCOTTY McCREERY DEBUTS OFFICIAL “IT MATTERS TO HER”
MUSIC VIDEO WITH
PEOPLE.com TODAY

Same Truck: The Deluxe Album Available on Vinyl, CD and Digital
This Friday, Nov. 18 with Six Additional New Songs

Returns to the Road after Paternity Leave on Nov. 30 for Solo Shows,
Opening for Alabama and Co-Headlining Acoustic Dates with Lee Brice

Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Network to Air “Five More Minutes: Moments Like These”
Movie on December 17, Inspired by McCreery’s Hit Song

Triple Tigers recording artist Scotty McCreery debuted the official music video for his current single “It Matters to Her” today on People.com. The song, which is rising up the country airplay charts, follows his five consecutive No. 1 hits, including his recent three-week No. 1, RIAA- Gold certified smash “Damn Strait.”

“It Matters to Her” can be found on McCreery’s Same Truck: The Deluxe Album, which will be available this Friday, Nov. 18 on vinyl, CD and digital, and includes six additional new songs not found on the original album that came out last year, including the recently released tracks “Nothin’ Right” and “Small Town Stories.”

The “It Matters to Her” video was filmed in North Carolina and directed by Austin, Texas-based filmmaker Jeff Ray, who has directed four other McCreery music videos (“Five More Minutes,” “This is It,” “In Between,” and “Damn Strait”). Written by McCreery, Rhett Akins, and Lee Thomas Miller, the song was produced by Frank Rogers, Derek Wells, and Aaron Eshuis.

“I wanted to really focus the video on Gabi and our preparations for Avery’s arrival,” said McCreery. “We filmed some of it over the course of several months at home in Raleigh when we were getting the nursery ready. We also filmed some of it at our place at North Topsail Beach. I think you can see in the video how excited we were getting for Avery to get here as well as how amazing Gabi was throughout the entire pregnancy.”

The new dad will return to the road after paternity leave on Nov. 30 when he headlines the National Finals Rodeo’s Downtown Hoedown on Fremont Street in Las Vegas, Nevada. His performance schedule through the end of the year is below.

Nov. 30 Las Vegas, NV Downtown Hoedown on Fremont Street
Dec. 4 Nashville, TN Opry Country Christmas at the Grand Ole Opry House
Dec. 7 Houston, TX KKBQ 93Q Star Party
Dec. 9 Roanoke, VA Berglund Coliseum (as direct support for Alabama)
Dec. 10 Marietta, GA Peoples Bank Theatre
Dec. 15 Fort Smith, AR Temple Live (co-headlining with Lee Brice)
Dec. 16 El Dorado, AR First Financial Music Hall (co-headlining with Lee Brice)
Dec. 17 Huntsville, AL Von Braun Center (co-headlining with Lee Brice)
Dec. 18 Raleigh, NC 94.7 QDR Acoustic Christmas for the Kids Guitar Pull

The three dates featuring McCreery co-headlining with Brice will be acoustic shows. Both artists will be on stage for the entire concert, and they will trade off songs with each other, providing a more intimate concert experience than usual.

McCreery won a BMI Award last week for co-writing his No. 1, RIAA Gold-certified hit “You Time,” which was named one of BMI’s Most Performed Country Songs of 2021. His co-writers Frank Rogers and Aaron Eshuis received an ASCAP Award for the song in the same category.

McCreery’s No.1, RIAA Double Platinum-certified hit song “Five More Minutes” (which he co-wrote with Frank Rogers and Monty Criswell) has inspired a second movie on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. “Five More Minutes: Moments Like These” will premiere on December 17 at 10 p.m. ET/PT, starring Ashley Williams and Lucas Bryant. It is an all-new storyline and not a sequel to last year’s hit “Five More Minutes” movie. McCreery does not appear in the movie, as it was filmed during the last month of Gabi’s pregnancy.

About Scotty McCreery
Scotty McCreery’s upcoming album Same Truck: The Deluxe Album will be available on Nov. 18 on vinyl, CD and digital. It contains two No. 1 RIAA Gold-certified hit songs “You Time” and “Damn Strait,” and his current single “It Matters to Her,” as well as six additional new songs not on the original album. In total, McCreery has achieved 5 consecutive No. 1 hits in the last few years, including the two mentioned above as well as an additional three from his last album Seasons Change, the RIAA Gold-certified project which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Country Album chart: the RIAA Double Platinum-certified “Five More Minutes,” the RIAA Platinum-certified “This Is It,” which stayed at the top of the charts for two weeks, and RIAA Gold-certified “In Between.” McCreery co-wrote all 11 songs on Seasons Change, which Rolling Stone named as one of the “40 Best Country and Americana Albums of 2018.” Four of his albums have debuted at No. 1 on a Billboard Albums chart, with current combined sales surpassing 4 million copies. With five consecutive No.1 hits to his credit, he’s earned one Double Platinum, four Platinum and four Gold singles; one Platinum and two Gold albums; won the 10th season of “American Idol” in 2011; was named the ACM New Artist of the Year in 2011; won the CMT Music Award for Breakthrough Video of the Year (‘The Trouble with Girls’) in 2012; American Country Awards for New Artist of the Year in 2011 and Breakthrough Artist of the Year in 2013; BMI Awards for writing One of the Top 50 Country Songs of the Year five times (in 2015 for “See You Tonight,” in 2018 for “Five More Minutes,” in 2019 for “This is It,” and 2021 for “In Between,” and in 2022 for “You Time”); a Carolina Beach Music Award for National Dance Song of the Year (‘Barefootin’’) in 2018; the NSAI Nashville Songwriter Award for One of the Top Ten Songs I Wish I’d Written (‘Five More Minutes’) in 2018; and the Randy Owen Angels Among Us Award from St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in 2022. The North Carolina native released his first book, Go Big or Go Home: The Journey Toward the Dream, in 2016; it was re-released in paperback in 2020. His song “Five More Minutes” inspired a popular movie of the same name which aired on the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Network during November-December 2021. A second movie, “Five More Minutes: Moments Like These” will air on the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Network on December 17, 2022. McCreery launched his recording career by making history in 2011 as both the first country artist and the youngest male artist of any genre to debut his first studio album, the Platinum-certified Clear as Day, at No. 1 on the all-genre Billboard Top 200 Albums chart. Randy Houser Releases Highly Anticipated Album 'Note To Self'

PLATINUM-SELLING ARTIST RANDY HOUSER RELEASES
HIGHLY ANTICIPATED ALBUM
NOTE TO SELF

Produced by Houser with Blake Chancey, Note To Self
Features 10 Tracks All Co-Written by the Mississippi Native

Title Track Climbs the Charts at Country Radio, Hitting the Top 40

As the title track continues climbing the charts in the top 40, Billboard lauded “golden-voiced Mississippi native” Randy Houser releases his highly anticipated sixth studio album Note To Self today, November 11, via Magnolia Music Group. Listen to the new album HERE.

A collection of nostalgia, wisdom, hard work and cowboy culture, Houser co-wrote all 10 tracks and produced the album with the help of Blake Chancey, recording the project from his home studio.

“Blake and I worked on this record for a long time, and I’m so proud to be able to finally share it,” notes the Platinum-selling artist. “Note To Self really came together at a time when I was doing a lot of reflecting on my life.

“It became a way to impart some things I’ve learned about myself and some of the lessons I’ve learned along the way,” he elaborates. “As artists, I think sometimes we get so caught up with trying to have a hit that we miss an opportunity to really connect with people. Sometimes you need to talk about what’s going on in the world, and in your own world, so people can relate to that and feel something.”

Lead single “Note to Self” offers deliberate introspection, challenging the listener to reflect and consider hard truths. Written by Houser with Ross Copperman, Casey Beathard and Bobby Pinson, the title track was penned with reflective insight on how to cherish the things that truly matter, while showcasing his New York Times-dubbed “rich, vicious” vocal stamina.

Album opener “Still That Cowboy” was written as an ode to his wife Tatiana, with CMT.com sharing, “Houser has never been afraid to sing country music, and ‘Still That Cowboy’ spotlights the genre’s tenets as much as anything Houser has ever released,” while “Workin’ Man” illuminates the tenacity and persistence of America’s blue-collar workers among the struggles they face day-to-day to support themselves and their families, with MusicRow calling it a “rousing blue-collar anthem” that Houser sings with “a barn-burner baritone that dips and growls in all the right places.”

Steel guitar and fiddle-laced “Country Round Here Tonight,” reminiscent of the classic country hits of the 90s’, creates a feeling of nostalgia, as Houser croons about a small-town spot where everyone goes to unwind and spend their paycheck, followed by “Take It To The Bank,” which opens with acoustic guitar – fitting for a love story focused on spending quality time together rather than being dependent on wealth to bring happiness.

As Houser lulls softly, building into a heavy hitting chorus, “Call Me” finds him pining to hear from his lover, as he’d rather be fighting than not speaking at all: “3am is the loneliest time when we’re fighting; sometimes nothing speaks any louder than silence.” The ballad is juxtaposed with “Out And Down,” which finds Houser digging into his delta upbringing and leaning into his Blues influences as he sings about being under the influence to get over an ending relationship.

“Rub A Little Dirt On It” delivers some much-needed wisdom that’s often forgotten in our fast-paced world – that difficult times are only temporary, sometimes alleviated by turning to places of beauty and tranquility, while “American Dreamer” touches on patriotism and the diligence passed down throughout generations to work hard with pride.

Closing with “Remember How To Pray,” Houser gives credit to his Maker, recognizing His prominence throughout his life, while acknowledging “Every now and then, I lose my way, but I still remember how to pray.

Houser is currently on the road with Cody Johnson to wrap up a milestone year, after performing multiple sold-out shows throughout 2022, including an at-capacity stop at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium. For dates, tickets and additional information, visit RandyHouser.com.

Houser will also be hitting the big screen alongside notable actors Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro in Martin Scorsese’s upcoming film Killers of the Flower Moon and Dennis Quaid in The Hill.

About Randy Houser
With an inimitable voice The New York Times describes as “wholly different, thicker and more throbbing, a caldron bubbling over,” Randy Houser racked up three consecutive No. 1 hits and more than four million in singles sales to date with his Stoney Creek Records album How Country Feels. He topped the charts with the title track, “Runnin’ Outta Moonlight” and “Goodnight Kiss” (also his first No. 1 as a songwriter) and earned critical acclaim for his powerful delivery of the Top 5 smash and CMA Song of the Year-nominated “Like A Cowboy.” Houser added a fourth No. 1 to his catalogue with “We Went” from his 2016 album, Fired Up. Houser’s sixth studio album Note To Self is set for release on November 11 via Magnolia Music Group and features 10 tracks all co-written by the Mississippi native. Currently Top 40 and climbing the charts at Country radio, lead single and title track “Note To Self” marked his “powerful return” following 2019’s critically-acclaimed album Magnolia, with MusicRow boasting the Mississippi-native “remains one of country music’s very finest vocalists.” With multiple sold-out shows so far in 2022, including an at-capacity stop at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium, Houser wrapped his co-headlining tour with longtime friend Jamey Johnson in April and is currently on the road with Cody Johnson. Singer/Songwriter Julia Poorman Releases New Single "Already Got It" + Official Music Video

Stream "Already Got It":

https://ffm.to/juliapoorman

Singer/songwriter Julia Poorman released her newest single "Already Got It" to all major platforms. The lyrics and music were written by Julia Poorman and Danny Roselle (The Mylars). The single was produced and mixed by Danny Roselle at Lakehouse Studios in Asbury Park, NJ with additional recording at Rosedome Studios in Summit, NJ. It was engineered by Nick Semanchik and mastered by Michael Fossenkemper.

The video was shot in Deal, NJ (the beach scenes) and in downtown Asbury Park. The bakery scene was filmed at Confections of A Rockstar. It was directed/edited by Steven Nathan and produced by Art in the Chaos.

"This song was born during a bike ride through an idyllic neighborhood. The stark contrast of my life compared to the picturesque extravagance really exacerbated my sense of lack. I have always struggled with looking outside of myself for approval and happiness. During an introspective search to find my center, these lyrics repeated in my head like a mantra. 'All we ever want, we already got' and the rest flowed pretty easily. I hope this song resonates with you and unveils or confirms your sense of worthiness and abundance as true peace always comes from within," says Julia.

Writing songs has always been second nature to Julia. As a young girl living in New York's Finger Lakes Region, her little poems could be found stuffed in her night stand expectantly waiting for melodies to bring them to life. As soon as she'd pick up the paper, the music would come flowing out and a song would be born.

Throughout her youth, music served as a reliable and cathartic outlet for Julia. To her, it's an entire dimension filled with comradery, boundless expression, and healing.

As a young adult, Julia took a brief step back from her musical endeavors to help build a business and life with her fiance. Navigating the world as an entrepreneur brought many rewarding opportunities for growth and unforgettable experiences, but she was left feeling a void in her creative nature.

In 2021, Julia unexpectedly lost her father. One of the last text messages he sent her was a photo of him listening to her original self-titled EP from 2012. She knew she needed to get back to her roots to begin to heal. Music became a necessary therapy again, and the melodies and lyrics just didn't stop.

Julia now feels the importance of creating music that puts people in their own flow state, a vibrational catalyst for self-exploration and healing. Her passion reclaimed, she feels as though this is just the beginning.

Elle King Releases Tyler Childers’ “Jersey Giant”

ELLE KING RELEASES TYLER CHILDERS’ “JERSEY GIANT”

King to Open for Childers at Radio City Music Hall August 2 & 3, 2023

Award winning, singer-songwriter Elle King is dropping “Jersey Giant,” a never-before-released song by acclaimed artist Tyler Childers. “Jersey Giant,” is available here: EK.lnk.to/JerseyGiant.

“Tyler Childers is not too far from where my family lives and he’s a legend,” said King. “The life of a song is something so beautiful to me, and country music has taught me to see that the opportunity to sing a song written by someone else, is nothing short of a gift, a blessing. When you hear a song and say ‘I wish I wrote that’ you know it’s a good’n. I was humbled and so excited that Tyler gave his song to me. I tried to blend the two worlds of honoring traditional bluegrass and what country music is to me. Thank you, Tyler, for your music, and thank you for entrusting me with this gift. I’m so excited for everyone to hear it.”

“I wrote ‘Jersey Giant’ over ten years ago and only performed it for a short period of time,” said Childers. “I was pleased with how it turned out structurally (it even has a bridge, which is rare for me), but I was over performing it pretty fast. I reckon that’s just how songs go sometimes. They can be like that coat you saw and had to have, only to get it home and think, ‘Why gah, I ain’t never gonna wear this thing.’ Or, one that you got from an ex which you would rather just toss out. But that’s not saying anything against the coat, it just doesn’t fit me anymore and hasn’t for some time. I’m super excited that Ms. King has dusted this old song off and given it a new life. I’m extremely grateful for her seeing the potential in this tune and wish her the best out there on the road. Break a leg Elle! And stay warm.”

King, who provides lead and background vocals and is featured on acoustic guitar, co-produced the track with award-winning, singer-writer and multi-instrumentalist and reigning ACM Acoustic Guitar Player of the Year, Charlie Worsham. Worsham lends his signature sound for background vocals, plus acoustic guitar, mandolin and banjo.

King will join Childers on his 2023 Send in the Hounds Tour at Radio City Music Hall in New York City on August 2 and 3.

King is set to release her new album Come Get Your Wife, on January 27. The record includes her current single, “Worth A Shot” (feat. Dierks Bentley), which hit No. 1 this past weekend on SiriusXM’s, The Highway Hot 30 Countdown.

Other tracks already available from the new record are the feisty “Try Jesus,” “Out Yonder,” and “Drunk (And I Don’t Want To Go Home),” with Miranda Lambert. “Drunk” became the first woman-woman collaboration to reach the top-spot on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart since Reba McEntire and Linda Davis’ “Does He Love You,” in 1993.

Brooklyn alternative rock outfit A Cloud of Ravens present biting 'Nature of Artifice' single

“Their sound, though inspired by bands of their youth, is not rooted stubbornly in the past - their music feels of this time, with their messages transversing the cosmos” ~ Post-Punk.com

“A Cloud of Ravens impress not only for the dark poetry, which forms and develops in the band’s lyrics and expands in their alluring titles, but the duo also rivet through their gritty and immediate sonic scheme, which feels pitch dark and hard as nails”Destroy // Exist

"A perfect blend of an homage to the past and the modern construction of the future. A heroic journey through a desolate land" ~ Sounds and Shadows

“They play cold wave, they play post-punk, they are Gothics, and they set to music some of the most striking lyrics you can find out there” ~ White Light // White Heat

NYC-based alternative rock / post-punk duo A Cloud of Ravens present their new single 'Nature of Artifice'. Following lead track 'The Blackest Mantra', this is the second taste of their third full-length album 'Lost Hymns', to be released in early 2023 via Berlin-based Nexilis Records, a division of Schubert Music Europe.

Formed in 2018 in Brooklyn by Matthew McIntosh (guitar and vocals) and Beth Narducci (bass guitar), the duo began work on this new album in the spring of 2021. Completed by autumn, this LP was mastered by ACTORS' Jason Corbett at Jacknife Sound studio in Vancouver.

"The song 'Nature of Artifice' is about choosing to bury your head in the sand, rather than confronting glaring societal ills and moral injustices. It’s easier to get lost in the minutia of our click and swipe modern world than watch its blessings crumble around us. To some extent, none of us are blameless," says Matthew McIntosh.

At the outset, A Cloud of Ravens hit the ground running with a string of self-released offerings, making their mark in the burgeoning contemporary dark music scene and garnering attention that would result in a one-off release date for their 2021 album 'Another Kind of Midnight', a mournful yet triumphant collection exploring the heart of a world amidst a devastating pandemic and torn by moral tribalism.

Effectively merging classic and contemporary post-punk and darkwave sensibilities, their somewhat poetic use of prose and metaphor expressed the trials and joys of the world in which we now find ourselves. A Cloud of Ravens' subsequent remix-based EP featured reimagined tracks by legendary producer John Fryer and such prominent artists as Clan of Xymox, ACTORS, Chris Vrenna and Ritual Howls.

On November 11, 'Nature of Artifice' will be available across digital outlets, including Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon and Bandcamp. The full 'Lost Hymns' album will be released on February 24, 2023.

The band will be playing their final show of the year on December 17 at Prohibition River Live in Nyack, NY. Towards mid-2023, fans can already look forward to North American tour dates with Clan of Xymox and Curse Mackey.

Bad Omens Announce Livestream Events of Both Sold-Out NYC Shows On 'A TOUR OF THE CONCRETE JUNGLE' North American Headliner

Bad Omens

Announce Two Livestream Events

From Their SOLD-OUT North American Headliner

'A TOUR OF THE CONCRETE JUNGLE'

On Sunday, December 11 + Monday, December 12

Exclusively On Veeps

Tickets Available HERE

Bad Omens slither through boundaries, only to ultimately choke convention in the process. The quartet—Noah Sebastian (vocals), Joakim “Jolly” Karlsson (guitar), Nick Ruffilo (bass), and Nick Folio (drums)—materialize with ghostly atmospherics, striking hooks, and the tingles of sensual high-register harmonies uplifted by cinematic production. Racking up over 250M worldwide streams to date and earning acclaim, the band presents an uncompromising and undeniable vision on their third full-length album, 'THE DEATH OF PEACE OF MIND' (Sumerian Records).

“Making the record changed us as songwriters and musicians. In many ways, I feel like it set me free as an artist because every decision made in the writing process was for myself, with no fear for anyone else’s expectations of what our third album should sound like. Be it our fans or our record label.”

They’ve always wielded this level of magic though…

The group’s 2016 self-titled debut, 'Bad Omens', yielded fan favorites such as “Glass Houses” and “The Worst In Me” which eclipsed nearly 30 million Spotify streams. On its heels, 2019’s 'Finding God Before God Finds Me' spawned “Dethrone” (16 million Spotify streams) and “Careful What You Wish For” (10 million Spotify streams). Along the way, they toured with numerous marquee acts and received tastemaker praise.

After their first headline tour was canceled mid-way at the top of the global pandemic, the band found themselves at home in Los Angeles with plenty of time. Where they absorbed and imparted a different palette of unexpected inspirations. Channeling what the frontman describes at times as a “cursive sound” they embraced newfound confidence and boundlessly loose creativity. Anything went in the studio, and all “rules” were broken. Noah and Jolly wrote, produced, and engineered the music themselves while GRAMMY® Award-nominated producer and songwriter Zakk Cervini (Halsey, Grimes, Poppy, blink-182) lent his talents with the mix and master. Challenging himself, Noah decided to “make a track sampling items around the house, none of which were musical instruments”.

This ultimately became the framework for the first single “THE DEATH OF PEACE OF MIND”. Claps puncture the icy soundscape as his voice stretches from a breathy moan into an evocative and entrancing hook, breaking from a whisper into the seductive chant, “It wasn’t hard to realize. Love’s the death of peace of mind.” It culminates on a climactic scream uplifted by a distorted crunch.

“The whole record really details the loss of peace of mind,” he explains. “The lyrics in the title track are a little more specific in terms of the conflict at the heart of something more intimate and personal.”

By speaking it aloud, Bad Omens offer a level of comfort and empathy, with a sinister shroud. At the same time, they also give rock music a sexy new shape on 'THE DEATH OF PEACE OF MIND'.

“Sonically, we want to do something you can’t arrive late or early too,” he leaves off. “You can’t cheat your way to the final act. You have to get on the ride and process it until the end. The songs are meant to be heard from start to finish. We want you to take the whole trip with us.”

Death Metal Legends OBITUARY Announce New Album 'Dying of Everything' Out January 13, 2023💀

FALL NORTH AMERICA TOUR BEGINS THIS WEEK

WATCH “THE WRONG TIME” MUSIC VIDEO Below

"Propelled by the inhuman vocals of John Tardy, the obscenely brutal guitar tone of Trevor Peres and rhythmic brilliance of drummer Donald Tardy, Obituary redefined heaviness throughout the 1990s. From undisputed classics 'Slowly We Rot' and 'Cause of Death', through an unexpected hiatus to their current creative renaissance, Obituaryhave pioneered, defined and expanded extreme metal, becoming one of the underground’s most recognized and respected acts." - Decibel Magazine

Legendary Florida Death Metal icons OBITUARY return with their highly anticipated new album, 'Dying of Everything', out January 13 on LP/CD/CS/Digital via Relapse Records!

OBITUARY comment:

“We couldn’t be more excited to FINALLY get this New Album out and into the hands of the fans! We chose “The Wrong Time” for the first single as it is a true depiction of the sound, style and feel we went for in the studio and is a great taste of what you can expect from 'Dying of Everything'.”

Additionally, OBITUARY begins the North America Great Heathen Tour with Amon Amarth, Carcass & Cattle Decapitation this week!

OBITUARY join HATEBREED for a special one-off show tonight in Albuquerque, NM before the tour begins.

OBITUARY returns to Europe in January/February 2023 with Trivium & Heaven Shall Burn. A full list of tour dates is available below.

'Dying Of Everything' destroys in the time-honored tradition of early OBITUARY classics 'Slowly We Rot' and 'Cause of Death', while maintaining the killer studio sound that the band has been perfecting in their own studio since 2007’s monstrous 'Xecutioner’s Return'.

Pre-Order 'Dying of Everything' HERE

Like just about every album in OBITUARY’s vast catalog, 'Dying Of Everything' is instantly memorable; it’s a skill that OBITUARY have only improved upon over the years.

It’s unusual for a band that’s been around since the ’80s to be doing some of their best work in the 2020s, but that’s exactly what OBITUARY have accomplished through their do-it-yourself attitude and relentless touring on a worldwide level.

I think it comes down to passion,” vocalist John Tardy offers. “I say this all the time, but if something’s not fun, I’m not gonna do it. And we’re having more fun than ever.”

Brantley Gilbert Releases New Album 'So Help Me God' + New Single "Heaven By Then" with Blake Shelton ft. Vince Gill

“Heaven By Then” with Blake Shelton Featuring Vince Gill

Gilbert Partners with Nine Line Apparel for Exclusive Shirt Design to
Benefit Veterans Through Nine Line Foundation

Multi-Platinum country star Brantley Gilbert releases his highly anticipated new album So Help Me God, a 10-track project that features five new songs, including his latest single “Heaven By Then” with Blake Shelton and featuring Vince Gill, which had a world premiere via iHeartRadio today. Available now via The Valory Music Co., listen to the album and the single, officially impacting Country radio on Monday, November 14, HERE.

“In the past, my albums were almost direct reflections, direct chapters of my life,” shares Gilbert. “Whatever I’d gone through since I wrote the last record would make its way onto the new album. There’s still some of that with So Help Me God since I’m a cowriter on all the songs – it’s been three years since the last release and a lot of life lived. But I feel like this album is more of a mixtape of great songs.”

Co-written with Brock Berryhill, Michael Hardy, Jake Mitchell, Randy Montana, Hunter Phelps and Taylor Phillips, album opener “Heaven By Then” highlights a way of life that can often feel like it’s disappearing, as the pace of everyday life continues to speed up.

“‘Heaven By Then’ came out of a conversation during a writers retreat in Texas that we do every year. A guitar ended up in HARDY’s lap, which is usually a good sign that it’s about to turn into something special. I think we all knew that as it was being written. It came to life that night.

“To have Blake Shelton and Vince Gill on the song meant so much to me. Those two brought so much to the table and gave it a voice I didn’t have. We were all in separate places when we recorded, but it was a cool way for everyone to put their spin on it. They just did what felt natural and sonically you hear that,” he concludes.

Gilbert has mined a rich vein of conflict between the party and the pew on all his albums. Instead of toiling in limbo, unable to enjoy good times for fear of Judgment Day, Gilbert fully lives––rowdy friend, man of faith, devoted husband, smitten new father––just as he is.

“All of my albums up to this point have been spiritual or faith-based titles, and there’s a reason for that,” Gilbert shares. “I feel like if I’m the ‘what you see is what you get’ guy, and I decide to disregard my faith or not include it, not only am I selling myself short, but I’m selling everybody who plays that record short. Faith is a huge part of my life, and I feel like God tends to bless us a little bit more when we share a little spotlight.”

Gilbert kicked off his co-headlining tour with Five Finger Death Punch last night in and continues this evening in Fort Wayne Indiana. Gilbert is set to tour with 5FDP through December 17, wrapping in Las Vegas, Nevada. For tickets and more information, visit BrantleyGilbert.com.

As a longtime supporter and advocate for service men and women, Gilbert continues championing veterans through his latest partnership with Nine Line Apparel for an exclusive shirt design, which will benefit Nine Line Foundation.

About Brantley Gilbert
With back-to-back Platinum albums and a grassroots following millions strong, Brantley Gilbert’s music has been shared, covered and adopted as the soundtrack to Saturday night and Sunday morning by audiences around the world. The Georgia native who started as the defiant life-of-the-party can still go ‘til sunrise, but he’s also emerged as something far greater: the leader of a massive tribe of hard-working, fun-loving believers for whom electric guitar-shredding, rapping, and twang can go hand-in-hand-in-hand. They call themselves the BG Nation, and when the BG Nation watches Gilbert on a stage, they don’t just see a star. They see themselves. Seven No. 1 hits punctuate his career: “Country Must be Country Wide,” “You Don’t Know Her Like I Do,” CMA Awards Song of the Year nominee “Dirt Road Anthem,” “My Kinda Party,” RIAA 5x Platinum-certified “Bottoms Up,” “One Hell of an Amen” and collaboration with Lindsay Ell “What Happens In A Small Town.” Gilbert’s landmark record Just As I Am clinched the 2014 American Music Award for Favorite Country Album. Earning praise from the New York Times, NPR, American Songwriter, and more, Gilbert has mined a rich vein of conflict between the party and the pew on all of his albums. Tigirlily Gold is comprised of sisters Krista and Kendra Slaubaugh. Though new to some, the duo has been touring across their home state of North Dakota and the Mid-West since they were young teens. They quickly became an on-demand act with their latest single, “Somebody Does” reaching No. 1 on the iTunes Country Songs and iTunes All Genres Songs charts, reeling in over 5 million streams to-date. Having released their debut, self-titled EP in 2021 with the help of Grammy Award winning songwriter and producer Shane McAnally, the duo has attained over 9 million total career streams.

About Tigirlily Gold
Sister duo Tigirlily Gold has been playing music together since they could walk, and officially formed their band in high school. Growing up, they crisscrossed the mid-west, growing a fierce fan base and selling out amphitheaters across their home-state of North Dakota. After moving to Nashville, they landed a weekly residence at Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row on Nashville’s famed lower Broadway. Playing four-hour sets, three to four nights a week, the sisters developed a performance style that’s not only captivating and fun but shows just how much entertaining is in their blood.

After releasing their original song “Somebody Does,” in 2021, the track topped the iTunes chart and Tigirlily Gold was signed to Monument Records. They released their self-titled, debut EP in July 2021, working with multi-Grammy Award Winner Shane McAnally, and hit the road with artists Walker Hayes and Ashley McBryde.

Now, the powerhouse duo is set to embark on a new musical chapter with their upcoming project, Blonde – a deeply personal record that includes poignant tales of love and loss alongside powerful anthems and songs of female empowerment. Ready to bring girl group energy back to country music, Tigirlily Gold is poised for a breakout year.

The band is also confirmed for two shows in January 2023. The full run of Withered live dates can be found below!

The band comments, "We’re very excited for this upcoming guerrilla style run of headlining dates to some places that have been neglected by larger tours for much too long and to reconnect with some places from our history. We’re also digging deep into Withered’s catalog for this so it’s quite a dose of nostalgia for me to get up close and personal with these songs again and have the chance to play a bit longer than usual. It will be a special experience for us. See everyone out there!"

WITHERED will be touring in support of 2020's full-length, 'Verloren.'

'Verloren' can be streamed, downloaded, and ordered HERE.

WITHERED recently released signature distortion pedal! Guitarist Mike Thompson teamed up with Michael Klein Audio Design out of Kansas City, MO to build a signature distortion pedal named “Husk,” which is designed for all the tone stackers out there.

Thompson also designed the cosmetics himself, combining a vintage military feel with an ethereal/mystic graphics to capture the “moods” of the pedal.

Husk Features:

  • Selectable “then” (NOS Japanese 1S1588) and “now” clipping diodes to choose between saturation used on older Withered albums and newer albums.

  • The bottom row of knobs are a circuit inspired by the classic MIJ DS-1 with high quality/low tolerance components - precision metal film resistors, WIMA caps, MLCC caps, and Nichicon Fine Gold capacitors supporting a Toshiba TA7136P Opamp.

  • The top row is Thompson’s collection of “do my bidding” controls: a clean blend to pepper in some clarity without losing gain, an output boost to keep the dirty tone louder than “pedal off” tone no matter how much you scoop the mids, and a no-fucks-given low pass filter to tame the nastiness however you like.

  • 2 different colored “on” LED’s for a “military control panel” look and max visibility on stage.

Photos of the Husk Distortion Pedal can be found HERE.

Artist Paul Romano (MASTODON, HATE ETERNAL, etc.) gave an in-depth behind-the-scenes look at the creation of the unique album art for 'Verloren!' Both Romano and WITHERED vocalist/guitarist Mike Thompson give in-depth interviews about the concept, working together, and more in this detailed article, which is accompanied by an exclusive video clip and photos! Check it out via Heaviest of Art at THIS LOCATION.

From its inception, WITHERED has been an outlier, a perplexing charge of extremity which the metal scene has never been able to put its finger on.

“We want to compound new elements into every album,” posits guitarist/vocalist Mike Thompson, “and we’re definitely a band for metal nerds. Our audience seems to be the old-schoolers who are absorbed by this stuff every day and jaded folks of a certain age. Industry types and peers tend to get it, but that’s about it.”

Thompson’s self deprecating assessment of his creative output might be part gentlemanly humility talking or a harshly realistic take on WITHERED’s cult status, or somewhere in between, but with an impressive body of work fanned out over the course of 18 years and five albums which have weathered as many trends, the Atlanta quartet continues to confound and refuses to compromise. New album, Verloren is the band’s most daring and iconoclastic work yet, one that spits in the eye of complacency and exists as a contrarian masterstroke.

Originally formed by Thompson and ex-guitarist/vocalist Chris Freeman in 2003 following a spell in local grind institution Social Infestation (alongside Mastodon’s Troy Sanders), WITHERED’s initial goal was to re-write black, doom and death metal modes and mores. To that end, the band has achieved that goal as their sound and aesthetic refuses to clearly state which subgenre they call home. Over the course of its history, WITHERED has generated more questions than answers about who they are and what they do. They’ve toured with the varied likes of Mastodon, High on Fire, Dismember, Grave, Vital Remains, Possessed, Watain, Mayhem, 1349, Krallice, Skeletonwitch and Danzig. Their live show provides an air of never-know-what-you’re-gonna-get mystery. See them on one occasion and it’s a DIY kick in the gut with stripped down, rehearsal room bareness appropriately complementing the lunacy. The next time they get in the van they’ll do so accompanied by rigged up columns of light cloaking the stage in bloody reds and searing whites. And with Verloren, the band’s forthcoming fifth album, Thompson and his band mates – drummer Beau Brandon, bassist Rafay Nabeel and fellow guitarist/vocalist Dan Caycedo – continue to nudge both thematic and sonic goalposts by providing relatable food for thought while retaining the adversarial fire that has powered the engine since the start.

“There’s a philosophical introspective approach to the subject matter that informs our writing style. We’re trying to create an atmosphere that complements the themes and that’s something we’re trying to circle back around to on Verloren.”

WITHERED’s first album, 2005’s Memento Mori, generally speaking, tackled the subject of mortality and the grieving process that follows significant loss, trauma and tragedy. Album number two, 2008’s Folie Circulaire was, as Thompson describes, “more existentialist, nihilistic and Nietzsche-ian” while 2010’s Dualities was an exploration of Jungian psychology and the shadow self. As alluded to in the title, 2016’s Grief Relic started into the U-turn back towards the exploration of the role and impact of grief as the men of WITHERED themselves entered that stage of life in which older family members, friends and childhood heroes were passing away, expectedly and otherwise. Five years on, Verloren rounds out the turn with a sinister sound and an area of study more akin to a deep therapy/counseling session instead of the usual gore and lore that often emboldens extreme music.

“Rafay wanted to use the theme of ‘missing’,” explains Thompson, “which was broad and abstract, so I dialed it down to be more about this outlook I’ve developed over the years about how each of us have a ‘Love Well.’ Every bit of love you get from your parents, your upbringing and your learning how to receive and experience love in relationships and through experiences contributes to the well. Your traumas counterbalance that and take away from it, especially when foundational core elements take a hit, like the untimely loss of a parent. That’s one of life’s unique puzzle pieces and when that piece is removed it’s never going to be replaced.

“We’re equipped with a certain capacity – our wells are filled to a certain level – and when you start getting smacked with traumas, whatever you have in that well - your defense mechanisms - can get worn down pretty quickly, especially for someone who has never really known love because of a broken home, difficult relationships or whatever. Each one of us in WITHERED carry unique traumas that we’ve focused this new record on. For me, most of my significant losses are from older wounds that I’ve dealt with through WITHERED from the very beginning, but with this being the first album with Dan and Rafay, it’s like a new exercise for them to really focus on the things they’ve been carrying around.”

Verloren translates to “missing” from German and relates not just to the friends, family and pieces of the member’s lives and hearts that have, and will go, missing as the time ticks on unfettered, but also, in the face of the global pandemic, just how much the activity of being in a band has been missed by everyone who took the write/record/tour cycle for granted. Verloren demonstrates a topical uniqueness; one that discusses the stuff everyone from the steeliest of black metal cape wearers to the gore-obsessed death metal crushers and everyone playing in a band or not has had to - or will have to - confront at some point. By leveling the elitist playing field so often found in extreme metal underground attitudes, Verloren offers a more holistic experience, elevating WITHERED by being unafraid to discuss topics that fly in the face of what most would connect to the sounds they make.

“About two years before I started WITHERED,” Thompson recalls, “I went through a series of traumas where I was forced to take stock of and define my foundational ‘puzzle pieces’ that could be taken away and what the trauma and grief is going to look like when I lose close family and/or friends I truly care about. Ironically, one I didn’t face until recently was WITHERED. No one ever thought that not being able to play shows or tour because of a pandemic was even feasible. I processed the idea of losing WITHERED and playing music and touring and everything else around the time of Grief Relic when two guys quit the band and I lost a lot of steam and inspiration. Luckily, Beau was there to kick my ass and shake me out of it. When it comes to this album, there was an initial suffering of anxiety because of the uncertainty in the world and the fear of losing this album because we put a lot into it, are super proud of it and it is the best WITHERED album yet. It’s important for my inspiration and motivation to go forward. It takes so much effort for us to create a record, the thought of it for it to all be for naught or potentially be wasted just destroys me.

“Surprisingly, we haven’t had a lot of push back on these themes, though I would love to take on that conflict!” he laughs. “For most people, metal is purely aesthetic, a grandstanding ‘f-you!’ to society and an adolescent rebellion kind of thing. But at the same time, we do get positive feedback from the people who have looked a bit deeper and done some research. We just want to be honest. We used to make the joke when we go out on tour, especially in the early days when deathcore was all the rage and we’d be on these weird package bills, that ‘Hey, we’re WITHERED and we’re here to bum you out.’ We’re not a party band or a shock band so you don’t get the fun aspect from us when going to a show. I’ve always been frustrated that we’ve never been able to communicate our super-realism and the different perspectives of life. If I want to sing about how much gratitude I have for my mother in a roundabout way, then whatever, we’ll do it!”

As WITHERED enters its third decade, they’ve drawn a more insular and conclusive line in the sand. The band has forged further forward with the process of eschewing typicality, including not utilizing any of the usual producer suspects to help sculpt Verloren. Instead, they flew the flag of independence by again going down the route of self-production with Thompson himself taking the bull by its horns.

“We get a little bit more deliberate every time around and starting with Grief Relic we decided not to hire anyone to help produce and filter it through a particular lens. We started self-producing and I kind of took the reins on that last time and more so this time and also when it came to selecting who was going to engineer [Raheen Amlani at Orange Peel Recordings], then mix [Greg Wilkinson at Earhammer Studios] and master it [Jarrett Pritchard]. The trick is to find someone who loves Times of Grace as much as they love Clandestine and His Hero is Gone, Napalm Death and all the way out to later Enslaved and can balance all those things. If it’s truly honest and truly communicating the intention of a song, then it’ll be powerful, heavy and generate emotion.”

Verloren also revisits WITHERED’s traditional methodological step of sitting down and looking at the present state of metal before consciously lashing out against what’s taking up most of the broader public’s attention.

“We’re constantly looking for something new to do. We love genre bending and putting D-beats next to funereal riffs next to black metal blasts and heavy doom riffs and figuring out how to make it all work and make sense with whatever vibe we’re trying to nail down. For this one, I wanted to lean back into the funereal doom world. I got burnt out when doom – especially southern doom, being a southern band - was the word of the day around the time of our first two records. We basically ran in the other direction and got away from doing any full-on doom parts for a while. I wanted to come back around to that, so we went back to bigger stuff like My Dying Bride for the couple of eight minute epics on the album [album opener “By Tooth in Tongue” and closer “From Ashen Shores”]. Also, for the first time in my life and against my better judgment, I decided to write clean vocals and I’m singing on two songs. They’re kind of buried in the mix a little bit because I’m still self-conscious about them, but they were the only things that made sense for the parts we wrote. I tried to fight it, but nothing extreme was accomplishing the goal. On top of that, we go the other way where three of the songs have some super crusty and grind elements. Part of why I asked Dan to join the band was because I knew he would get the sludgy, crusty side of things and help me cultivate that better in WITHERED. On the album, ‘The Predation,’ ‘Dissolve’ and ‘Casting in Wait’ are his. Those would be the twists on this album because we’re always trying to write what we think is missing and what we want to hear in heavy music after sitting down and looking at the landscape of what’s out there.”

And despite being deliberate oppositional in the subject matter they choose to explore and express, how much of their hearts and souls they choose to strip bare for fickle crowds and grind against whatever current musical grain the rest are cruising along, the determination, seriousness and importance of WITHERED in each member’s lives hasn’t ebbed. In fact, it’s only been magnified with time and circumstance. Having been forced into a year off from normal band life has made it clear how vital WITHERED is for everything from creative expression, social networking, wanderlust, overall personal sanity and moving forward.

“Personally, I’m very, very fortunate with regards to my family and others being supportive and taking what I do seriously. Looking back, I could be really selfish and headstrong about music. My family got so used to it that they would volunteer to schedule dinners and family events around rehearsals and practice because they were able to glean how important this was to me and how seriously I took it. Even moving out into the real world with the professional realm of things and the jobs that we have had in order to keep this going, I’d say it’s taken more seriously now than ever. We’re constantly challenging ourselves to progress and carve our own path. WITHERED is a permanent part of my life, it’s what I expect to be there. I’ve built so much on it and I’ve somehow been able to weave it into my life to where it’s a defining part of me as well. This isn’t rock star fantasy camp, although the other weekend I was bored, missing travelling and sitting around so I took the band van out and just drove out for three hours, turned around and came home!”

Having sold over 298,000-and-counting tickets year to date, with recent milestones including a single-day sellout of their Red Rocks Amphitheatre debut and back-to-back nights at the Ryman Auditorium (with the second show added after night one sold out in just 30 minutes), plus a headlining arena show in front of more than 10,000 fans at Fort Worth’s Dickies Arena last month, multi-Platinum independent band Whiskey Myers are ready to continue that momentum into the new year with today’s announcement of their Whiskey Myers 2023 Tour.

With 12 dates spanning the country throughout the months of February and March on sale to the general public beginning this Thursday, Nov. 11, via WhiskeyMyers.com, the tour serves as a launching pad for a full year to follow, with major festivals including Carolina Country Music Fest, Hwy 30 Music Fest, Country Jam Colorado and Country Jam USA already on the books, plus more tour dates to be announced in the coming months. Joining the genre-bending band for the run are Giovannie & The Hired Guns, Rival Sons and The Weathered Souls.

“An outlier of alt-country with more thrust, Southern cousin of the Black Keys or spiritual grandchild of Waylon and Willie’s Outlaw Country, Whiskey Myers is currently taking a regional movement global,” noted POLLSTAR in their recent cover story on the band, adding “Whiskey Myers offers sobering pieces of broken lives that go unseen.”

Fans will have a chance to see that authentic musical storytelling live on the upcoming tour, including songs off the band’s latest critically acclaimed album, Tornillo, recorded during a 21-day period of isolation at the Sonic Ranch studio just miles from the U.S./Mexico border and praised by American Songwriter for putting Whiskey Myers “in a league of their own with their signature hard-rocking sound on full display” with Nashville Lifestyles declaring, “Southern rock is alive and well on Whiskey Myers’ Tornillo – and it comes with a brassy border-town swagger… Equal parts train songs, tenacious energy, and Tabasco… their lawless musicality burns like the sun.”

Ville Valo Shares New Single, "The Foreverlost"

DEBUT SOLO ALBUM 'NEON NOIR' OUT JANUARY 13

2023 HEADLINE TOURING SET FOR EUROPE, UK, + NORTH AMERICA

Finnish Love Metal pioneer, Ville Valo (VV) of HIM, has shared third single "The Foreverlost", taken from his forthcoming first solo album, 'Neon Noir'

The album will be released on January 13 via Heartagram Records and distributed by UMG/Spinefarm

Pre-order it HERE

"'The Foreverlost' is yet another loud love song depicting the burlesque butoh between two world-weary souls. All my Carmina Buranas and 'could've should've would'ves' rolled into a neat little Gordian knot of the gothic variety."

VV's headline tour of Europe, the UK, and North America has already sold out across a number of cities. Get tickets HERE

ABOUT VILLE VALO / VV:

In the annals of 21st century alternative rock history, there are few artists who cast a longer or more peculiar shadow than Finnish Love Metal pioneer Ville Valo. After all, his band HIM was easily among the most iconic and idiosyncratic groups of the millennium.

Zealously revered, gleefully reviled but impossible to ignore, their music left an indelible mark on a worldwide legion of fans. The scarlet letters stood for "His Infernal Majesty." Their founder stood for something delightedly out of step with the status quo.

"We only hoped to temporarily redirect hard rock's blood flow from the nether regions towards the heart," reminisces Valo, the singer, songwriter, and primus motor of HIM. Judging by the monolithic presence of the Heartagram in any account of music this side of the millennium, it's apparent that he succeeded.

Inspired by everyone from Poe to Bukowski and tinged by a penchant for perfumed Sabbathian gloom, Valo's creative lovechild would produce eight era-defining studio releases and over 10 million record sales, including a Grammy nomination, countless magazine covers, critical acclaim, and the veneration of a generation. Thus, it came as no surprise that the news of a farewell tour in 2017 was greeted with shock and disbelief among devotees and caused endless speculation as to what or who was to take up the velvet mantle.

As fun as the funeral rites for HIM were, it took me more than a few moons to lick my wounds in the shadow of the Heartagram and come up with an excuse to strum and hum again. Eventually, I decided to put a leash on my beloved black dog and we started howling together instead of barking at each other. That's how "Loveletting" was born."

"Loveletting", the first single off VV's debut album 'Neon Noir', out in early 2023, suggests this new infernal mix of light and shade is nothing short of a landmark release from one of modern music's most distinctive and intriguing voices. It belongs to the same forlorn world of woe and whimsy once conceived and governed by Valo in HIM, but with the nuanced notes of a fine aged Cabernet.

"Artistically speaking, the main difference between HIM and VV is the extra line in the Heartagram, but what an exquisite line it is! It's the Mamas and the Papas dressed up as Metallica on their way to a Halloween bash at the Studio 54, and now who wouldn't want to witness that?"
