DUNCAN EVANS AND THE WEEPING STARLIGHT Unveil "Suffer"

DUNCAN EVANS AND THE WEEPING STARLIGHT confront suffering and the strive for peace in their latest single offering, "Suffer". The track provides a further glimpse into the raw and emotive forthcoming album, The World is a War Zone, is scheduled to arrive on September 18, 2026 via Widowbird Records.

Approaching the cyclical nature between fear and suffering, the new single exposes how a peaceful future is impeded by memories of the past. In the lyrics, In fear of a future that exists in the past / Where no-one is sacred and nothing will lastDuncan Evans reveals how the past must be learnt from and not become a barrier to reducing suffering.

Musically, "Suffer" carries the most progressive arrangement on the upcoming album's track list. The first section is composed in 7/4 time and sees melodic leads entwine themselves around grounding percussion alongside Evans' lead vocals. A sudden explosion of chaos shatters through the musical layers. In the aftermath of the devastation, "Suffer" returns to the opening progressive style before venturing into heavier realms. This traversal of plains of varying light and shade conveys the anxiety of uncertainty and discomfort of the unknown.

The World is a War Zone marks the first full-length release under the name DUNCAN EVANS AND THE WEEPING STARLIGHT. Formed in 2022 to reflect the emergence of a committed three-piece lineup, the band channels intense post-punk dynamics through the dark and primal undercurrents of folk music. Across nine tracks and 45 minutes, the album explores faith, psychological upheaval, suffering and renewal, navigating the internal battlefields that shape modern existence while holding fast to the possibility of redemption.

DUNCAN EVANS AND THE WEEPING STARLIGHT is:

  • Duncan Evans – vocals, guitars, synths, software instruments

  • Ol Jessop – bass guitar

  • Kev Reid – drums

Scottish Alt Rockers THE XCERTS Share New Single "rinse repeat" + Visualizer

Today, THE XCERTS share "rinse repeat," the latest single from their forthcoming sixth album‘i think i want to go home now.,’ out on July 10th via FLG.

The track is, by the band's own admission, something of a first: a song that deliberately references their own back catalogue. Drawing a direct line to "crisis in the slow lane" from their 2009 debut ‘In The Cold Wind We Smile,’ "rinse repeat" revisits familiar emotional territory, cancer, heartbreak, helplessness, but refracted through the experience of adulthood and the weight that comes with it.

Speaking about the track, vocalist and guitarist Murray Macleod says:

"This might be the first time we've self-referenced our own material. There are a lot of parallels between our first record and this record, with the heartbreak of a relationship deteriorating and the loss of a parent. We wanted this song to be reminiscent of 'crisis in the slow lane' but from the perspective of adulthood. Sadly cancer was all too prominent in our lives during the writing and recording of this record, and this song is very much about my father's diagnosis at the tail end of 2022 and the helplessness of it all. I also tend to merge different scenes in verses and tie them together with choruses, so verse 2 is also about hopelessness, but in regards to my then partner's struggles."

Watch the Visualizer for "rinse repeat" Below:

It is another unflinching entry in an album that has consistently refused to look away. Where "pretty ugly" arrived as a fuzzed-out blast of anger and "in your eyes" built toward something sweeping and quietly devastating, "rinse repeat" sits somewhere between the two: purposeful, direct, and rooted in the same collaborative instinct that has defined the making of ‘i think i want to go home now.’ throughout.

The album was written by all three members together in a room, something the band had not done since their early records, and that process is audible throughout. Recorded by Larry Hibbitt at Beehive Studios, its ten songs document two years of genuine turbulence, including the passing of bassist Jordan Smith's mother and Macleod's father's cancer diagnosis, processed in real time and in company.

'i think i want to go home now.' arrives July 10th via FLG.

The Hu Announce New Album "HUN" Out 7/24 + Band Shares "Lost Soul"

Turning the page on what promises to be a bold creative chapter, Hunnu Rock pioneers THE HU — Galaa (morin khuur, throat singing); Jaya (tumur khuur, tsuur, throat singing); Enkush (morin khuur, throat singing); and Temka(tovshuur, throat singing) — proudly announce their forthcoming third full-length album, HUN, out July 24 via BETTER NOISE MUSIC. Pre-order/Pre-save HUN here.

Alongside the album news, the band has unleashed a hypnotic new single entitled "Lost Soul" (Feat. Jonny Hawkins of NOTHING MORE). It marks the first collaboration between the Gold-certified global phenomenon and NOTHING MORE.

Listen to "Lost Soul" (Feat. Jonny Hawkins of NOTHING MORE) here. Watch the video below.

Across the song, the percussive groove-laden soundscape resembles the extremes of Mongolia's fickle and unforgiving climate. A head-nodding riff tosses and turns beneath propulsive verses, giving way to a melodic refrain from Hawkins who croons the infectious chorus, "Born to be a lost soul." These English-sung affirmations lock into a seamless volley with traditional Mongolian chanting, uniting styles and cultures in one burst of boundary-breaking energy.

Resounding beyond all borders, the song trumpets a message of resiliency, fortitude, and strength that translates positively into any language and anywhere in the world.

Regarding the song, Galaa comments "We have been unpacking our surprises one by one. Hunnu Rock transcends through culture and in that respect, we have made 'Lost Soul' with Jonny Hawkins. To be not lost on your life journey, not losing your values, and go through life and having a courage to face the life obstacles are messages we are sending our fans through this song 'Lost Soul' and in our next album, HUN. "

Hawkins adds, "I am so excited to team up with a band as committed to their craft as The Hu. It's unlike anything I've done before."

HUN finds The Hu, who were first tipped by NPR back in 2019, at the peak of their powers thus far. They expand the scope of their signature Hunnu Rock with 11 tracks steeped in the lore and legend of Mongolia, yet uplifted with universal ambition. It's as epic, enthralling, and enigmatic and it opens the gateway into their world.

"We took our time to do this right, and we're so glad that we're almost ready to release what we have worked on these past few years," the band says. "Now, we are also focusing on the performances and working out a brand-new setlist. We want to play bigger venues so we can do extensive production, and bring in some amazing elements of our culture, and play these ideas to our fans. And, as well as our third album, we have some amazing ideas for another album already!"

The Hu have teamed up with Cello Metal standouts Apocalyptica for a run of shows this May and June. The tour kicked off on May 12 in Silver Spring, MD and will take them across the country before wrapping in Anaheim, CA on June 7. Joining The Hu and Apocalyptica is platinum-selling Finnish rock band The Rasmus.

Tickets and additional information on VIP packages available HERE.

And in other The Hu news, the band recently appeared on the song "Pray to the Sun," featuring Declan de Barra, from the Netflix Japanese manga series One Piece. It's another instance of the band and its music connecting with passionate fandoms, as their song "Sugaan Essena" was also prominently featured in the Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order video game.

NYC songstress Julia Greenberg shares 'Sometimes The Sea', previewing 'Born Sentimental' EP

NYC indie-folk artist Julia Greenberg presents 'Sometimes The Sea', a reflective piece born from a moment of sudden clarity and a desire for external perspective. The second offering from her 'Born Sentimental' EP, forthcoming via New Jersey's Magic Door Record Label, it is about overcoming personal blues, viewed through the comforting lens of friendship and musical camaraderie.

Offering a temporary cure for that slipping away feeling, 'Sometimes the Sea' is framed as a conversation between two close friends about the compounding burdens of growing older. “The twilight of their mothers, those sweet bitter days at the ending of their summers—it’s all just heartbreak, it’s only a matter of degree.” The baroque accordion melodies flowing across this literary folk rock number hint at some measure of transcendence in the face of finitude.

"I knew two things as I set out to write this song. One, that it would be called 'Sometimes the Sea' because I was at the beach, and I had that moment when you get a glimpse of the ocean on a clear day, and it just shocks the darkness out of you," says Julia Greenberg.

"Two, I knew that it would be a conversation between me and my best friend Maud, and that she would be the narrator. I was perhaps feeling a bit weary of my own voice, and since she’s a brilliant writer, I figured she could tell the story of my blues and endlessly tiresome introspection with some humor and perspective. When I listen to the song, sometimes it feels like she wrote it."

Co-produced by Bob Perry (Winter Hours) and Julia Greenberg, this EP was recorded live at Chrometop Studios, engineered by Bob Perry. and mastered by Ray Ketchem(Guided by Voices, Elk City, Gramercy Arms, Luna, Crash Harmony) at Magic Door Recording Studio in Montclair, NJ.

Greenberg adds, "Jeremy Chatzky (bass), Will Holshouser (accordion) and I were in a band together in the late ‘80s and early ‘90s, and we’ve played on and off together in various projects for decades. The recording of this song, which we did live in the studio, really captures our comfort with feeling our way through a song together. On that freaking accordion solo before the third verse, it’s as if Will summoned a symphony through those bellows!"

April saw the release of 'Leaves', which feels hopeful despite being written amidst the quiet wreckage of personal loss. Mastering the art of letting go, she offers a poignant reminder that some seasons simply cannot be held captive. The video -- directed by Julia Greenberg and edited by Nico Greenberg with Yumiko Takagi as director or photography -- captures a small-town schoolhouse that is "frozen in time", this setting serving as a poignant monument to the people and milestones we’ve moved on from.

The music pulses with the hard-earned intimacy of four musicians shaped by years on the road together, their songs carrying the marks of constant movement, shared trust, and a collective creative spirit forged across countless Northeastern miles. It blends the dust and edge of alternative country with the sharp lyricism and melodic elegance of classic American songwriting, creating something strikingly human — tender, weathered, and unguardedly sincere.

A chanteuse, theater composer and filmmaker with roots in NYC's vibrant music scene, Greenberg has released two albums of original music - 'Past Your Eyes' and 'Greenland' - both produced by James Mastro (The Bongos, Mott the Hoople, Ian Hunter, Patti Smith, John Cale). Her her music has been featured on 'This American Life' (including the ever-popular Dr. Phil episode, in which Phil Collins evaluates a breakup song she co-wrote), and Ronnie Spector also recorded one of her songs.

Greenberg's award-winning documentary 'Dory Previn: On My Way to Where' can now be watched on PBS, having had its world premiere at the SXSW Film & TV Festival in 2024. Prior to directing the film, Julia became the foremost interpreter of Previn’s music, performing her work around the country at venues such as Joe’s Pub, Mass MoCA, the 92nd Street Y, the Houston Museum of Fine Arts, and on WFMU and WNYC radio. She is also the archivist for Previn's estate.

Apart from co-writing the hit off-Broadway rock opera 'People Are Wrong!' with Robin Goldwasser, she composed the music for the off-Broadway play 'Cavedweller' with "Hedwig and the Angry Inch" composer Stephen Trask. In her spare time, she is a health justice advocate and co-curates the music program at the Rock Valley Schoolhouse in the Catskills.

Legendary Hard Rockers TESLA Share Cover of Queen's "Spread Your Wings" + Official Video

Today, the acclaimed American hard rock band TESLA is proud to share a new cover of Queen's 1977 classic, "Spread Your Wings," taken from their upcoming album, 'Homage,' set for release on July 17, 2026, via Frontiers Music Srl. Marking a full-circle moment in their storied career, the album finds the band returning to their roots with a collection of covers honoring some of rock’s most timeless hits.

Bassist, keyboardist, pianist, and backing vocalist Brian Wheat shares:

"'Spread Your Wings' for me was the song I always wanted to record by Queen. I always felt it was the one song they had in their catalog that should’ve been a massive hit, but wasn’t because it was overshadowed by 'We Are the Champions' and 'We Will Rock You' on the'News of the World' album. It was also a song written by John Deacon, who was the band's secret weapon and whom not many people talk about, the quiet one, shall we say."

Watch the Official Video for “Spread Your Wings” below:

It is remarkable to reflect on the more than 40 years since TESLA began as a cover band performing in California nightclubs before going on to write and record original material and sell millions of albums.

Much like their musical heroes — The Beatles and The Rolling Stones—artists who honed their craft by performing songs from those who came before them, TESLA followed a similar path in their early years and continues to embrace the tradition of paying tribute through cover songs today.

‘Homage,’ the band’s upcoming album, not only honors legendary artists but also provides an opportunity to showcase lead singer Jeff Keith's vocal diversity. The album stands as a thank-you expressed through music, an offering to the iconic voices and songs that shaped the band’s influences and, ultimately, their own songwriting.

'Homage' is not about imitation, but acknowledgment, tracing the line from influence to identity, from listening to becoming. The project also arrives more than 20 years after the ‘Real to Reel’ series, a release that helped inspire the creation of a new original TESLA song, “Never Alone.”

The selected songs on 'Homage' were chosen for a variety of reasons, primarily representing some of the greatest vocalists of all time, including Elvis PresleyFreddie MercurySam CookeDavid RuffinEtta James, and James Brown. Additional selections reflect songs the band grew up hearing on the radio and on their turntables.

On the upcoming album, TESLA shares:

"Our new album 'Homage' is a thank-you note written in sound. An offering to the great singers and songs that shaped the music we grew up listening to, and the songs we would eventually write. We hope you all enjoy this as much as we did making it. Thank you for all the years - Keep it Real and Keep On Rockin'!"

SPREAD EAGLE Shares New Single "Ant Farm" + Official Video

Hard rock veterans SPREAD EAGLE are pleased to share a new single today, “Ant Farm”, along with an official video, taken from their highly anticipated new album 'The Brutal Divine,' out on June 12, 2026, via Frontiers Music Srl.

SPREAD EAGLE is currently on the road on “The Brutal Divine Tour 2026”, with dates across the US, and in the UK and Europe throughout the summer. For the full list of dates, please see below and HERE.

The band stated,

“'Ant Farm' describes the slow, dark descent into isolation. It can be mental or physical, via drugs, depression, pandemics, leaving the grid… Anything that causes us to dig deeper and away from facing our demon. And nothing screams out louder than blistering guitars!”

Watch the Official Video for "Ant Farm" below:

'The Brutal Divine' is SPREAD EAGLE’s long-awaited fourth studio album and a fierce new chapter in the band’s uncompromising legacy. Known for their raw energy, streetwise attitude, and explosive live performances, they once again prove why they remain a vital force in modern hard rock.

The band described the new record as “an emotionally and musically heavy body of songs showcasing a unique command of power, dynamics, and melody. We have harnessed the energy of years of non-stop touring and turned it into a metal/punk thrill ride of an album."

“Lyrically, 'The Brutal Divine' challenges us to question our views and ask if we're truly as free-thinking as we may believe. Once that question is posed, the album progresses towards uplifting messages of hope and community”, they continued.

Fronted by the unmistakable voice of Ray West, the band delivers a powerful collection of songs that balance grit and melody, aggression and soul. Guitarist Gianmaria “Jommy” Puledda injects the record with razor-sharp riffs and soaring harmonies, while Rob De Luca(bass, vocals) and Rik De Luca (drums) form a thunderous rhythmic backbone that drives every track with authority and groove.

Produced by Rob De Luca, 'The Brutal Divine' captures the band at their most focused and dynamic - blending their classic hard rock roots with a darker, heavier edge. The album channels the intensity and authenticity that first put SPREAD EAGLE on the map, while showcasing a band that continues to evolve without losing its identity.

With a full slate of live dates planned in support of the release, SPREAD EAGLE is ready to bring 'The Brutal Divine' to stages around the world - where their music truly comes alive. This is hard rock delivered with conviction, attitude, and fire.

Saint Agnes Release "Get Them Out" Video Including Nine Inch NailsHomage

London's Saint Agnes herald the arrival of their Your God Fearing Days Are About To Begin album, releasing May 29 via Spinefarm, with fiery new single "Get Them Out."

Frontperson Kitty A. Austen, explains, "I wrote 'Get Them Out' for a friend who would listen to the bullying and the antagonistic voice in his head and believe it. I wanted him to see himself the way I do, as a beautiful person, and to treat himself better. This is my favorite riff on the record: It's a constant, revving build-up of tension, like an agitated, mental state that allows for no comfort or resolution. This was the first song that Jim Pinder (Sleep Token, Bring Me The Horizon) mixed from the record, and it set the blueprint:
crushing, spitty industrial balanced with expansive, melancholic beauty."

Watch the video below.

The visualizer is a direct homage to Nine Inch Nails' video for "March of the Pigs."

"We had an hour to spare at the end of filming for another song so we decided to do a one-take, live rendition of 'Get Them Out' as an homage to our favourite music video of all time. No edits, one shot, make-up artist cameo, and all. I'm sure people will hate us for it," says Kitty.

Prior to returning to the 2000 Trees festival in early July, Saint Agnes will be making two appearances with Alt Blk Era in May, before guesting with Black Veil Brides on a run of shows in June, hitting both the UK and Europe.

The full list of UK dates is as follows.

SAINT AGNES LIVE:
5/21 — London — Academy Islington (With Alt Blk Era)
5/30 — Nottingham — Rescue Rooms (With Alt Blk Era)
6/14 – Brighton — Concorde 2 (With BVB)
6/16 – Liverpool — Arts Club Theatre (With BVB)
6/17 – London — The Dome (With BVB)

Ryan Perdz Announces New Album 'Can't Cry' Out August 14 via Big Machine Rock

Buffalo, NY singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Ryan Perdz has announced his debut album 'Can't Cry', set for release on August 14 (via Big Machine Rock). In celebration of the news, Perdz has released his poignant new single "Heavy Eyes" taken from the forthcoming full-length, along with the heartbreaking official music video. Speaking about the album announcement, he commented:

'Can’t Cry' is my take on modern rock. All my inspirations in one. The lyrics on this album I hold close and I feel like it tells a story many people can relate to today, helping those who struggle in silence not feel so alone. This is my first full album and this release is really important to me. It was an amazing experience writing and recording it and I’m so excited to perform these songs live for people.

When asked about "Heavy Eyes", Perdz shared:

The inspiration behind “Heavy Eyes” is the struggle of losing someone and the weight it holds in your life. “Heavy Eyes” has a distinct sound of soft verses and powerful, anthemic choruses; it's a track that I believe will really help people who struggle with mental health. My lyrics will speak to the people who sometimes can’t speak for themselves.

ABOUT RYAN PERDZ

Ryan Perdz is a 25-year-old singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist from Buffalo, NY. Raised on his grandparents’ family farm, he began teaching himself guitar at age ten and expanded into bass, violin, and mandolin, developing a hands-on approach to songwriting and arrangement.

Influenced by artists such as Nirvana, Chris Cornell, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Led Zeppelin, Perdz channels the emotional weight of 90s rock through a modern lens, balancing grit with melody. His music often explores isolation, self-doubt, and perseverance, delivered with a clarity that feels lived-in rather than ornamental.

After independently releasing multiple singles and his First Sight EP an racking up tens of millions of views across social media, Perdz cultivated a loyal audience through consistent self-directed output. In 2025, he signed with Big Machine Rock and began recording his debut full-length album. His growing catalogue of original music has generated millions of streams, and his audience continues to expand across digital platforms.

As he prepares to unveil his debut album, Ryan Perdz stands positioned at the forefront of a new generation of rock artists shaped by both digital culture and classic influences.

VOÏVOD Launches New Single “The End Of Dormancy (Symphonique)” + Visualizer

After more than 40 eventful years of existence, Canada's progressive sci-fi metal innovators VOÏVOD return with ‘Symphonique,’ a special live release together with the Quebec Symphony Orchestra, set for release on June 5, 2026, worldwide via Century Media Records.

‘Symphonique,’ which functions like an epic piece of cinema, showcases VOÏVOD’s pioneering futuristic metal with the strains of a symphony orchestra, and features a carefully curated VOÏVOD best-of setlist composed of 12 songs across 73 minutes, recorded live on June 4th, 2025, at the Grand Théâtre in Québec City, Canada.

The next appetizer for ‘Symphonique’ can now be heard online via DSP’s with the launch of the second single “The End Of Dormancy (Symphonique),” alongside an official visualizer curated by Cloud Motion Design, available to view below.

Previously, the song “Forgotten In Space (Symphonique)” was launched HERE.

VOÏVOD’s drummer and founding member Michel “Away” Langevin comments on ‘Symphonique’:

“This live album with the Quebec Symphony Orchestra is a longtime dream turned reality. Thankfully, we will experience it again in 2027 with the Orchestre Symphonique du Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean, right in the region where VOÏVOD formed back in 1983. We wish to take this show across the globe with local orchestras one day, but in the meantime, I hope you will enjoy this epic release. It’s the closest we’ve ever come to sounding like a dystopian sci-fi movie soundtrack, another dream of ours!”

VOÏVOD’s guitarist Daniel “Chewy” Mongrain shares the following about the second single "The End Of Dormancy (Symphonique)”:

“This one is very special to me. I wrote the riffs imagining Roman naval battles with a full orchestra, like the movies from the 50’s and 60’s. It has a very dramatic vibe. Little did I know that what we synthesized for a four-piece band would eventually explode into its primary, original imagined form. It’s one of the most orchestral pieces on the album, and I remember vividly the crowd’s reaction after the grand finale, it was one of these rare life’s perfect moments. I’m very grateful for that incredible experience.

Symphonique' follows the release of VOÏVOD’s latest Juno Award-winning studio album,'Synchro Anarchy' (2022), which reached #7 on the official album sales charts in Germany, #64 in Switzerland, #67 in Austria, and #88 in the Netherlands upon release. It also arrives after the band’s special 40th anniversary release, 'Morgöth Tales' (2023), from which a selection of videos can be found below.

Built on cinematic tension, sharpened melodic hooks and Zahna’s ferocious vocal command, “The Archer” introduces the next chapter of an artist who has turned profound personal trial into hard-won resilience and purpose. It is heavy, devotional and deeply human, pulling from the same world of spiritual warfare, freedom and deliverance that sits at the heart of Break or Breakthrough.

“The Archer” is an anthem to the taunting Goliath in your way! It’s a song about evil being unable to hide anymore, and the reckoning that unfolds afterwards."

The new album finds Zahna stepping into her most fully realised creative era to date, expanding the visual world, symbolism and emotional stakes that have become central to her work. Across her songs and videos, Zahna builds with the intensity of someone treating rock music as a vessel for survival, confrontation and release, where every hook lands with purpose and every heavier moment feels earned.

For Zahna, signing with XOVR Records marks both a milestone and a mission. Having long hoped to work with someone likeBrian “Head” Welch, the partnership has given her the space to build an album rooted in trust, detail produced the record.

Zahna’s recent momentum has already carried into active rock. Her previous single Defiler” has been spinning across a growing list of active rock stations across the country including SiriusXM Octane, Music Choice, HardDrive Radio, explodingonto the chart after just a few weeks at the active rock format where it remained for over a month whilst also hitting Top 20 on the SiriusXM Octane chart.

With “The Archer” now out in the world and Break or Breakthrough arriving September 4, Zahna is entering a chapter built on purpose, survival and resilience. The arrow has been fired from the bow.

ABOUT ZAHNA

Zahna is a heavy rock artist, vocalist, guitarist, songwriter and vocal coach whose music combines hard-hitting rock, metalcore intensity, dark pop atmosphere and deeply personal storytelling. First emerging as the vocalist of alt-rock band ILIA, she launched her solo career with Red For War and later released 2023’s Stronger Than Death, an album shaped by her experience surviving a near-terminal battle with kidney failure.

Her new album, Break or Breakthrough, will be released September 4 via XOVR Records, the label founded by Brian “Head” Welch of Korn. Produced and mixed by Kellen McGregor of Memphis May Fire, with co-writing and associate production from Cory Brunnemann of Through Arteries, the album explores spiritual warfare, endurance, freedom and the possibility of life after crisis.

Zahna has amassed over 20 million streams and continues to build growing support across SiriusXM Octane, Music Choice, HardDrive Radio and active rock radio. Beyond music, she is a vocal coach, a passionate advocate for those living with chronic illness, and an artist whose work pulls from faith, anime, literature, gaming and visual storytelling. Melodic Metal Pioneers NARNIA Release New Single "Jerusalem" + Official Music Video

Today, Swedish melodic metal pioneers NARNIA proudly release their new single, “Jerusalem,” taken from their upcoming tenth studio album 'X,' set for release on May 29th via Sound Pollution. The new track arrives alongside an official music video.

“Jerusalem” is one of the standout tracks on ‘X,’ bringing a slightly different flavor while still resting firmly on NARNIA’s melodic foundation. With its refined sense of grandeur, strong harmonies, and subtle progressive elements, the song adds a distinct shade to the album while remaining deeply rooted in the band’s identity.

The video was animated and edited by bassist Jonatan “Jono” Samuelsson, adding a visual dimension that reflects the song’s themes of faith, perseverance, and the hope of eternity.

Vocally, the track adds further depth to the album, with CJ Grimmark and Jonatan Samuelsson contributing lead lines in the verses, while Christian Liljegren continues to carry the song with his unmistakable voice and presence.

Watch the Music Video for "Jerusalem" Below:

NARNIA's upcoming album, 'X,' marks the band's 30th anniversary and nearly three decades of unwavering presence on the international metal scene.

While their previous release ‘Ghost Town’ (2023) reaffirmed the band’s melodic metal foundation, ‘X’ expands NARNIA’s sonic landscape. The album moves confidently between soaring, arena-ready choruses and more adventurous, progressive passages, without ever losing the band’s unmistakable identity.

Songs like “Oceanwide,” “Every Breath,” and “Heaven’s Calling” showcase NARNIA’s gift for strong hooks and uplifting melodies. At the other end of the spectrum, the high-energy “Remedy (SOS)” pushes the tempo to new heights, while tracks such as “God Under Fire”and “Jerusalem” explore more intricate arrangements and progressive textures.

Multiple lead vocalists share the spotlight throughout the album. Guitarist CJ Grimmark and bassist Jonatan “Jono” Samuelsson step forward on selected tracks, adding new tonal colors, while Christian Liljegren’s unmistakable voice continues to anchor the sound.

The album also reconnects with the band’s legacy. “The Man from Nazareth Pt. II” serves as a continuation of a fan-favorite from the 2006 album ‘Enter the Gate,’ while “The War that Tore the Land (Reprise)” offers a reflective callback to 2019’s ‘From Darkness to Light.’

Guitarist CJ Grimmark comments:

“This album represents both where we come from and where we’re heading. It’s heavier, broader, and more dynamic, but still unmistakably NARNIA.”

MADBALL RETURN WITH NEW ALBUM NOT YOUR KINGDOM; LEAD SINGLE 'REBEL KIDS' OUT NOW!

NYHC kings Madball remain one of the few legacy acts capable of seamlessly bridging the gap between the old-school era and the modern heavy music landscape. To say hardcore is in the band’s DNA is an understatement—it is their lifeblood. On their tenth studio album, Not Your Kingdom which will be released on July 24th via Nuclear Blast, the band delivers their trademark tales of survival, but with a deeper, more introspective edge. The lyrics offer a raw look into Freddy Cricien’s perspective on the current state of the world and the human condition, marking their most personal release to date.

The first glimpse into the album arrives with 'Rebel Kids.' An anthemic track at its core, it leans into the band’s classic groove and unrelenting energy while striking a chord with the new generation of hardcore fans. The accompanying music video was co-directed by Freddy Cricien and Dave Causa, with Causa also handling filming and editing duties.

MADBALL's Freddy Cricien comments, "Funny enough, Rebel Kids was the first track written for this album and actually was completely put together probably 2 years ago … or so. The sentiment, vibe and message of the song really became the catalyst for what came after. We all loved the song immediately but I couldn’t have known it would be the first single. We have several songs that we feel could be first “out of the gate”.  But in the end Rebel Kids made the most sense musically, lyrically etc. We look forward to releasing this song and album. It’s a special one for us and we’re hoping the rest of the world feels the same once they hear it!"

REPENTANCE Announce New Album Retaliate Unleash Crushing Title Track as First Single!

Chicago metal outfit REPENTANCE has announced their upcoming third full-length album Retaliate, set for release on July 17th, 2026 via Noble Demon. Alongside the announcement, the band has unleashed the record’s title track as the first single, offering an intense glimpse into what promises to be their most hard-hitting and focused release to date.

"'Retaliate' is a straight punch to the teeth. Coming out swinging", vocalist Adam Gilley comments about the track. "This song has that take no prisoners intensity and hooks. So tune in and turn that sh** up!!!!"

Stream the single below:

Formed in 2018 by guitarist Shaun Glass (ex-Soil, Dirge Within), REPENTANCE have steadily carved out a name for themselves in the modern metal landscape with a sound built on groove, heavy riffs, technical precision, and unrelenting intensity. Emerging from the Chicago scene, the band quickly gained traction on the live circuit, sharing stages with acts such as Trivium, DevilDriver, Jinjer, Sacred Reich, and Toxic Holocaust, among others.

Their debut album God For A Day (2020) received strong critical attention, leading to a worldwide signing with German label Noble Demon in 2021. This partnership marked a new chapter for the band, beginning with the EP Volume I - Reborn (2021), which introduced vocalist Adam Gilley and featured a guest appearance from Trivium guitarist Corey Beaulieu.

In 2023, REPENTANCE followed up with their sophomore album The Process of Human Demise, a record that further solidified their reputation for blending groove metal intensity with modern thrash precision. Produced by Alex Lackner and mixed/mastered by Chris Collier, the album also featured guest contributions from Corey Beaulieu and Milo Silvestro (Fear Factory), drawing comparisons to genre heavyweights such as Pantera and Lamb of God.

Now, with "Retaliate", the band push their sound even further. Once again produced by Alex Lackner at Accelerated Sound, the record was mixed by Ari Mihalopoulos at Inner Light Studio - a pairing that brings both familiarity and a fresh sonic perspective to the band's most aggressive material yet. The album arrives with punishing groove and nonstop aggressive hooks, pushing the band's sound forward while staying rooted in the intensity that has defined them since day one.

"Retaliate" will be released digitally on July 17 via Noble Demon and is available for pre-save at THIS LOCATION.

The Ghoulstars Premiere The Dark Overlords of the Universe

Flying saucers, a pet werewolf, Ghostbustin’ proton streams,  joyrides in the Cadillac that once belonged to Children of Bodom vocalist and guitarist Alexi “Wildchild” Laiho. Meet The Ghoulstars, a fresh - and frightening blast from pop-culture’s past. Since beaming down onto their native haunt of Finland, these horror punks have tantalized crowds and captured the attention of CNN, Metal Hammer and other international press with their monstrously catchy mash-up of metal, punk and cult classics. Their blockbuster debut album, The Dark Overlords of the Universe, hits shelves tomorrow, Friday, May 15.

“It’s like a delicious kid’s cereal that has a shockingly healthy nutritional label and way more fiber than you remember: it’s good shit”, New Noise attests in an interview with The Ghoulstars guitarist Markus “Daddy Ghoul” Laakso.

Lucky ghouls can hear all of The Dark Overlords of the Universebefore the album comes out tomorrow by listening to the full album stream today on the Season of Mist YouTube channel.

The Dark Overlords of the Universe is a love letter to our fifteen-year-old selves”, Laakso says. “It’s crammed with headbanging metal riffs, shout-along punk rock choruses, B-movie Easter eggs, ‘80s aesthetics, surprising curveballs and the sheer joy of all the pieces falling into the right places. Move over, Rover, and let the ghouls take over!”.

Despite their ghostly appearance, The Ghoulstars are a collection of real talent. Axeman Daddy Ghoul and goose-bumping drummer Toni “Ghoulio” Ronkainen shared a past life together in Kuolemanlaakso. Bassist Markus “Hella Ghoul” Makkonen formerly haunted the low end for Hooded Menace while moonhowler Arthur “LL Ghoul A” Thure croons for the stoner rockers Thermate.

While the initial inspiration for The Ghoulstars came after burning rubber to Venom, The Dark Overlords of the Universe is possessed by a love for everything that blew the band’s minds as kids. The title track crosses surf beats, heavy riffing and a hair-raising transition into a chorus that’s absolutely to die for. With Mötley Crüe’s pomp and the can’t-do attitude of Twisted Sister roaming its halls, lead single “Too Ghoul for School” is jam-packed with more fun-filled ‘80s antics than Saturday afternoon detention.

“The record is unique, catchy and a really fun listen”, says Triptykon guitarist and vocalist V. Santura, who mixed and mastered The Dark Overlords of the Universe.

The Misfits, White Zombie and other cultishly beloved touchstones like The Wolfman jump out during the album’s crisp 34-minute runtime. “Graverobbers from Outer Space” pays homage to an Ed Wood B-horror classic with a headbanging chorus, though not many straight-up punk rippers are enlivened by a doomy C-part and güiro. The Ghoulstars also enter original plots into horror’s hallowed crypt. Set amidst the cruel unfeeling world of the Wild West, “The Dead in Purgatory” rides a galloping melody after Morricone’s heart into a sunset that’s colored by the fifty shades of Volbeat.

The Ghoulstars may be undead, but there’s nothing pale or lifeless about The Dark Overlords of the Universe. Thanks to the rapid anticipation around the album, the band have signed to Nem Agency, which is one of the largest music promoters in Finland. Keep your eyes peeled for more live dates coming soon!

Kingdom Collapse Announce "Survivor" Album Out 10/30 + Share "Survivor" Video

Kingdom Collapse create the soundtrack to survival. The San Antonio, TX hard rock band alchemizes unfathomable tragedy, trauma, and loss into massive and magnetic anthems powered by pummeling instrumentation and arena-size hooks that remind you to never give up.

Today, the band is thrilled to announce its new album Survivor, which arrives October 30 via Mascot Records. Pre-save it here.

The band also shared the video for the impactful and anthemic title track. It will hit you in all the feels. Watch it below

"I wrote 'Survivor' while looking back at times of struggle and loss in my life," states singer Jonathan Norris. "I realized that those experiences made me who I am today. We want our fans to know that whatever life puts in your path, you can overcome."

Bassist Aaron Smith shares, "'Survivor' is an anthem for all of humanity. Whether it's big or small, we all have challenges in our lives. Optimism is the key for getting through the storms that life brings our way. With a positive mindset and a fighting mentality, we can all be 'Survivors.'"

Kingdom Collapse originated out of the childhood friendship between aforementioned vocalist Norris and Smith, who grew up together, found music around the same time, and recognized its power after Jonathan endured the loss of his father at eight-years-old.

In order to cope, he immediately retreated into music and the embrace of a small community — which included Aaron's family. This was the turning point where both boys realized the power of friendship, the power of music, and their potential together.  "I saw my father die right in front of my eyes," Jonathan sighs. "I didn't even know what was happening. In some ways, that darkness has never left. Music became my light. I connected with it, and it gave me hope for the future. Kingdom Collapse is a band that carries that torch."

Jonathan and Aaron each made the rounds in local bands and even collaborated a few times on short-lived projects. When they finally joined forces in Kingdom Collapse, it was as if everything they'd gone through as friends prepared them to make a statement together.

Jonathan tapped Aaron to play bass, and they rounded out the lineup by welcoming guitarist David Work and drummer Gaston Flores into the fold. Their quiet and devoted grind paid off when their breakout track "Uprise" resonated on a global scale, gathering 5 million-plus Spotify streams and bulldozing the way for 2022's independent Unbreakable EP. The latter housed their biggest single to date "Unbreakable," which has generated north of 11 million Spotify streams and hit No. 1 on Octane. Unafraid to put in the work, the four-piece didn't bother with day jobs and went all-in on music, hitting the road for hundreds of shows a year. They shared stages with everyone from Three Days Grace and Nothing More to From Ashes To New, Fire From The Gods, ATTACK ATTACK!, and Adelita's Way.

In 2025, they caught the attention of Mascot Records and inked a deal with the label. Now, Kingdom Collapse hold nothing back on their new single.

Kingdom Collapse are touring through the summer. The band will also hit several festivals in the summer.

As the band gear up to unveil their forthcoming full length album, Show No Fear, CRIMSON STEEL present their first single release in "No Absolution". Show No Fear is set to arrive on October 2, 2026, via Heaven and Hell Records.

"No Absolution" showcases the dynamic characteristics of CRIMSON STEEL's sound. While inspired by traditional styles, progressive metal and power metal, the single delivers a modern feel. "No Absolution" provides haunting melodic moments alongside ferocious rhythms. Throughout the track, emotional vulnerability is entwined with heavy power.

Lyrically, CRIMSON STEEL delve into themes surrounding guilt, condemnation, and spiritual isolation. The imagery evokes a sense of a being who is trapped with their own internal suffering, unable to atone or make amends for past actions. "No Absolution" explores an inability to escape from the torment that exists within oneself.

CRIMSON STEEL focus on storytelling through their music. Each track across the album contributes to the larger emotional narrative experience. At its core, Show No Fear explores the human experience often drawing on fantasy and mythical imagery to convey the central themes of fear, transformation, power, and perseverance.

Show No Fear was produced by Wendy Brancaccio and recorded and mixed at Vintage Noise Studio with Wendy Brancaccio and Bill Spears. The album was mastered by Anthony Focx. Cover artwork and design for Show No Fearis by Johnathan @gerardster.

Guest vocals on “Bleed into One” were provided by James Rivera, recorded at Hombre Malo Studio and engineered by Larry Barragán.

Erdve Unleash Reckoning on New Single "Epigrama"

Erdve are releasing the title track from their upcoming third album Epigrama. Following previous singles "Nyra" and "Ydos”. “Epigrama” follows the album's arc from grief and moral decay to existential reckoning.

"Epigrama" articulates the philosophical nucleus of Erdve’s new album. Where "Nyra" traced the suffocating cycle of unresolved grief and "Ydos" charted the corrosive progression of regret into stagnation, the title track turns toward accountability. Every decision, or absence of decision, carries an unavoidable debt. The band’s new single moves through the confines of understanding toward a point where clarity and madness become indistinguishable, framing entropy as a governing moral condition.

ERDVE is a metal band from Vilnius, Lithuania, experimenting with extreme music since 2016.

In 2017, the band signed a record contract with SEASON OF MIST records, who later released their debut album VAITOJIMAS (translated as: Moaning). The album has set a strong foundation for the band to keep pushing the limits of creativity within the framework of heavy, yet atmospheric metal iterations.

Their second album SAVIGAILA (translated as: Self-loathing) was released by Season of Mist in 2021, and has presented a different and more abrasive approach towards composing and storytelling, focusing on the intensity, unpredictability and drama.

The band is known to dive into unexpected ventures by choosing to perform in places that intuitively seem incoherent to the type of music being played or are not considered to be regular venues. First such show took place in the church of St. John's 2019 and another one in Lukiškės Ex-Prison, both in Vilnius, Lithuania.

After the second album, the band took some time to rediscover their relationship with music and identified the elements that would convey their future vision in the most truthful way. This idea is followed by their 2026 release - EPIGRAMA, that delivers a familiar, yet a fundamentally different approach towards experimenting within the confines of heavy music and reflective storytelling. The goal was to craft a meticulous consistency between the music, lyrics and sound production, where every aspect of the song works together to create meaningful impact. This album marks a new beginning for ERDVE, in the process of rediscovery, experimentation and raw expression.

SEA SLEEPER Release New Track “Manifestor” From Upcoming Album Burden of Antlers

SEA SLEEPER has return with “Manifestor,” an ambitious, eight-minute journey that marks the band’s most expansive and progressive work to date. The track is the latest preview of their forthcoming sophomore album, Burden of Antlers, set for release on September 18, 2026.

Clocking in as the longest song the band has ever written, “Manifestor” captures Sea Sleeper at their most dynamic, shifting through a wide spectrum of moods while maintaining a striking sense of cohesion. Themes and motifs introduced in the opening minutes resurface and evolve throughout the track, creating a circular, immersive listening experience.

“Manifestor” offers a powerful glimpse into Burden of Antlers, Sea Sleeper’s second full-length release. Building on the foundation of their debut Nostophobia, the new album represents a more deliberate and cohesive creative vision. Rather than chasing constant change, the band leans into revisiting and expanding musical passages, exploring ideas in full and allowing them to evolve organically.

Formed by three longtime collaborators who have spent nearly 15 years crafting their take on heavy, unconventional metal, Sea Sleeper recently expanded their lineup with the addition of Tony Spradlin. The result is a tighter, more focused unit pushing deeper into the strange and weighty sound they’ve always aimed to create.

Burden of Antlers arrives September 18, 2026.

About SEA SLEEPER:

With a passion for death and post metal, SEA SLEEPER infuse their heavy sound with an array of genre influences to produce something more dynamically extreme. The band formed in 2019 comprised of Jesse Cooley (guitar/lead vocals), Shane Cooley (drums/vocals), and Nick Kessler (bass/vocals), with Tony Spradlin (lead guitar/vocals) subsequently completing the line-up in 2022.

The debut EP Nihilism was released independently in 2019, followed by their acclaimed debut album Nostophobia. Released in 2021 via Metal Assault Records, Nostophobia garnered notable recognition achieving #10 album of the year for Noob Heavy and #7 spot for album of the year at GBHBL in 2021, as well as seeing the band become a Top Selling Bandcamp artist in the same year.
