Recorded live in the Netherlands, Bach Out of Bounds brings the revered composer in conversation with the heaviest of underground arts. Across three separate performances – at the Bachfestival in Dordrecht, Paard van Troje in The Hague and on November Music in Den Bosch – Alkaloid present three faithful renditions of Bach classics alongside an award-winning ensemble. SODOM RELEASE NEW VIDEO AND SINGLE FOR REMIXED VERSION OF ‘JABBA THE HUTT’

Sodom’s, 1994 album Get What You Deserve didn’t stick to any of the rules of the era. "We just wanted to sound completely nuts — full-on, in-your-face madness - it was pure Sodom just not giving a damn. Especially not about what anyone else was doing. We wanted to do what felt right to us — raw, grimy, unpolished. Songs that would make other people cringe — that’s what we were after."

The new single 'Jabba the Hutt' is one such track, and it may appear that it‘s named after a Star Wars character — but it’s actually about a real person. When asked about it, Tom Angelripper and Andy Brings respond in unison: "We won’t comment on that."

The accompanying video is cut from archive camcorder footage of the infamous photoshoots for both the grotesque album cover of 'Get What You Deserve' and it’s preceding EP, 'Aber Bitte Mit Sahne' and provides a snapshot into the warped minds of Sodom in 1994!

Thirty-two years later, this snarling beast is being unleashed on the metal community once again. A timeless punch to the gut — or, as Maik Weichert, guitarist and mastermind of German metalcore heroes Heaven Shall Burn, puts it: “The best punk album of the nineties!”

Concept albums are standard procedure for metal, especially when it comes to the prog space. But when the five members of ONLY HUMAN came together via online and IRL connections, they wired the entire band’s framework around one encroaching idea. “Automata” surfs its synthetic grooves with clear command, as if by simply pressing a button. Though beneath its shining surface, the song processes the inherent danger in letting technology determine our individual thought patterns. During the music video, three thrill seekers follow guidance from their smartphone. Good times are had along the way, but tragically, they never stop to question whether it’s leading them to a dead end.

“We’ve offloaded critical thought”, Christensen explains. “We’re not really doing things because we want to do them. It’s because an algorithm has decided that’s what we should do”.

Planned Obsolescence is fueled by existential dread. Like a virus, electronic beats hack into the hard drive of “Automata”, much in the same way that technology continues to creep into our everyday lives. But that doesn’t mean that the album leaves us without hope. There’s nothing broken, outmoded or dated about ONLY HUMAN. When main-frame shaking riffs reduce the song to digital ash, their message rings out loud and clear. “Defy and learn to walk again”.

“When the world is going badly, the reason is because people gave up”, says Christensen. “Things aren’t hopeless. We can absolutely fight back. Hopefully, this album gets people to think about valuing humanity over profit”.

Born in Queens, New York in 1985 with congenital heart disease, Gabriel underwent his first open heart surgery at age three and spent his childhood navigating both medical fragility and the intense religious expectations of a massive family rooted in Catholic tradition. His mother, once bound for a life as a nun, left the convent path to immigrate to the United States, where she raised Gabriel and his brother within a home steeped in devotion, ritual, and the tension between faith and individuality. Pennsylvania outfit Robin Ross & The Melodynes welcome the new year with their new single 'Echo of Love', a rhythmic exercise in romantic resonance that captures the high-frequency hum of two souls colliding in perfect, melodic symmetry. A shimmering anthem of sonic intimacy, Ross frames true love as a permanent vibration—one that holds its ground long after the music stops.

This is the second offering from the band's sophomore 'Mind Space' album, forthcoming via RPM Entertainment, which was recorded at Baa Baa Leaf Music Studio on the Mountain in Milford, Pennsylvania. Ross produced and engineered this album, along with famed engineer Jonathan Duckett (Phillip Glass, Kenny G, David Sanborn).

"This is a song based on a very melodic rhythm that moves in sync with the echo of love. Love takes two to bounce feelings back and forth within your heart. Echoes from both hearts bounce until their rhythm collides and creates balance," says Robin Ross.

With musical roots in New Jersey and New York dating back to 1988, Robin Ross has established himself in the bustling artistic community of Milford, PA, A musician, songwriter, and producer with diverse musical endeavours spanning over three decades, he has released numerous albums and played a pivotal role in creating several recording studios, including Triple R Studios and Sound Complex near NYC. Ross' current recording studio, Baa Baa Leaf Music Studio, continues to expand.

In 2025, Ross released 'Back To The Forest', the debut EP as Robin Ross & The TW Howlers, a songwriting project with storied folk-rock artist TW Howell, which received critical acclaim and airplay in dozens of countries.

In the early 1990s, Robin co-founded Laughing Jack, later rebranded as Jack’s Maze, acclaimed for a progressive rock sound reminiscent of Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin. Alas, life and business took him in a different direction. In 2021, Robin embarked on building Baa Baa Leaf Music Studio and also regrouped with Jack's Maze members Frank Cinquegrana, Scott Cowan, and Joe Torres to create new progressive rock albums. The Forecast is predicting a new Jack's Maze album later in 2026.

"'GASOLINE' is a story about that unquantifiable and confusing human bond you get with someone else," explains Charlie Rolfe. "That twin flame sensation, that mutual connection with an unknown person, almost like you were destined to be in each other's lives. During this song, it explores an explosive connection, the thought process, the denial in wanting it and the need to turn away from it, even though it feels wrong, you desperately try to keep hold of your life path, ignoring this fated sensation, how heartbreaking and soul-destroying it can be. This idea tied in so neatly with the concept of Count Dracula and Mina's relationship from Bram Stoker's Dracula, that otherworldly, toxic and destined love. Similar to 'Set In Flow,' we used the story to visually inspire the music video, to which shots from the video are homages to moments in the 1994 film."

DID YOU ASK TO BE SET FREE? is a deeply personal record shaped by grief, trauma, escapism and the slow, uncomfortable process of confronting reality. Framed around the idea of maladaptive daydreaming and fantasy as both refuge and trap, the songs explore addiction, self-sacrifice, burn-out, fractured relationships, and the question of whether freedom is something to be desired or feared. Descent was captured across two locations: Justin Passamonte tracked guitars, bass, and vocals at Jpass Music, while drums were recorded at Mercinary Studios with Noah Buchanan. The production was a collaborative effort between the band and long-time engineer Zack Ohren, who also handled the mixing and mastering. The result is a muscular, high-fidelity production that captures the band’s most fiery and brooding moments with equal clarity. To call Descent "heavy" or "brutal" is an understatement; this is death metal with a unique, elevated voice that stands entirely alone.

Today, the Los Angeles, CA based heavy metal outfit LIGHTNING STRIKES have released a music video called “Fear of Unknown” from their upcoming sophomore album ‘The King Is Victorious’, which is set for release on February 18th. “Fear of Unknown” video is now available to watch Below:

Karpis spoke about the single “Fear of Unknown”, ““Fear of Unknown” is about the fear that can cripple your mind and can take your capabilities away if you are week minded, something that you don’t see, but that fear lives in your head and reminds you that your life can end at any point. Your brain can’t calculate why you are scared and as soon as you are getting weak and useless then fear of unknown will take you away.”

Karpis continues, “It was written by me mid 2021. I recorded the drum tracks about that time, then Barry Sparks came into the project, he was very excited and energized to be part of the project, he even made a compliment and said it’s sounds like Black Sabbath and he will do some Geezer Butler style bass. The song was finalized in early 2025 after Norifumi Shima recorded his guitar track and added his signature guitar solo. Then Mariano Gardella completed the lyrics and recorded his dream vocals by giving the song a very unique prespective. Finally, let’s not forget about the maestro on the keyboard, Derek Sherinian who I have worked with previously on my 1st album, he also came into project and added his signature keyboard tracks and solo.”

The bulk of the album was recorded by Maksudian, a Japanese guitar virtuoso, Norifumi Shima (CONCERTO MOON), American bassist extraordinaire, Barry Sparks (MSG, Yngwie Malmsteen), and up-and-coming Argentinian vocalist, Mariano Gardella, with keyboard maestro, Derek Sherinian (BLACK COUNTRY COMMUNION, SONS OF APOLLO), who guested on the group's debut album, also making an appearance.

Originally formed in 1984, LIGHTNING STRIKES were the first metal band to feature an all Armenian-American line-up, well over a decade before the arrival of SYSTEM OF A DOWN. Co-founder Maksudian revived the name with new personnel a quarter century after the initial breakup recording the group's self-titled 2016 full-length debut with Brazilian vocalist Nando Fernandes (SINISTRA, HANGAR), the aforementioned Rob Math and Derek Sherinian, and former BLACK SABBATH vocalist, Tony Martin, who sang on and wrote the lyrics to 'Death Valley' and '301 AD Sins of Our Fathers'. Mixed by Roy Z, the album was well received and peaked on the Japanese Burrn! Magazine import charts at number 6.

After his death, legend says he was buried in the graveyard of Melrose Abbey; and because his spirit could not find peace, he would rise from his grave when night fell to harass the villagers and his former mistress to satisfy his bloodthirst. He was eventually defeated when a group of monks from Melrose Abbey exhumed Hunderprest’s blood-soaked body in broad daylight and set it on fire, throwing the ashes into the wind to be sure that the vampire would no longer be able to torment the town.

"Musically, the track primarily takes influence from a mixture of thrash (Kreator, Merciless, Metallica) and black (Watain, Rotting Christ, Tribulation) metal, with a healthy dose of some more 'atmospheric' d-beat elements from the likes of Oathbreaker and Fall of Efrafa.”

He adds about the album, "'Coronach’ is a personal exploration of Scottish Culture — its music, literature, history & folklore. From Pictish mysteries to Victorian Gothic literature, sinister lore, classic Scottish poetry and modern urban tales, the album tells stories of the country throughout the ages. Inspired by anything and everything from Venom and Mercyful Fate, to Watain and Opeth, to Manic Street Preachers, film scores and traditional Scottish music, the album is a good representation of myself all wrapped up in a nice speed metal package! Quite a bit of experimentation went into this album, and I wanted each track to contain something that I had never done previously. Whether it be the inclusion of a different instrument, or how a song begins, I aimed to offer some element of surprise in each track.

"The album, named after the vocal lament traditionally sung at funerals in the Scottish Highlands, encompasses everything the band is about: mixing modern and old-school influences, past and present storytelling, the dark side of Scottish history and my personal interpretation of it. As always, the writing and recording took place in my home studio, with various other people putting their stamp on a few of the tracks. The album was mixed by myself, and was mastered by Damian Herring at Subterranean Watchtower Studios, and the artwork was done by Adam Burke (Nightjar Illustration). The brainchild of guitarist/vocalist/solitary force, James McBain, Hellripper has been running like a denim-vested, backpatch-encrusted William Wallace, bravehearting his way through metal's bloodiest battlefields since first coagulating his personal darkness in 2014. INFERI Announces New Album, Takes on Battle-jacket Bigfoot in Music Video for First Single, "The Rapture of Dead Light"

Extreme death metal masters INFERI will be unleashing its latest studio album, 'Heaven Wept,' on April 10, 2026 via The Artisan Era! To celebrate the forthcoming record, the band is now pleased to share the pummeling first single, "The Rapture of Dead Light," along with a music video!

The clip sees INFERI vocalist Stevie Boiser, guitarist/vocalist Malcolm Pugh, guitarist Sanjay Kumar, and new drummer Nate Bigelow embark on an Indiana Jones style quest for the elusive Bigfoot. Watch the band square off with the battle-jacket wearing and headbanging entity to find out if their intricate riffs are a match for the enigmatic beast below.

This album came together under challenging circumstances—after the departure of Mike Low (guitar), we had to completely rewrite material. We then brought Sanjay Kumar (Wormhole / Equipoise) into the fold and the process began anew. With Andrew Kim’s exit to join Brand of Sacrifice, Malcolm stepped in to perform bass duties.

Heaven Wept is also the final album with Spencer Moore (drums) before he moved on to Archspire. We decided to work with Mike Low again for recording, mixing, and mastering. His deep understanding of our approach made him the perfect partner to help us refine our sound with the new lineup.
