FACE YOURSELF Announce New EP 'Martyr' + Drop New Track & Official Music Video For "Predatory"

Transcontinental deathcore collective, Face Yourself have announced their brand new EP ‘Martyr,’ today. The five track offering is set for release on April 18th via Sumerian Records and raises the modern deathcore bar to an unprecedented level. Punctuating today's news is their blistering new single "Predatory" which offers a brutal yet haunting exploration of trust and betrayal that dives deep into the dark undercurrents of vulnerability and self-preservation.

"Predatory" is out now and can be streamed HERE, the accompanying music video - directed by Face Yourself drummer, Eric DiCarlo - can be viewed below and the 'Martyr' EP can be pre-ordered HERE.

Speaking on their lates single and upcoming EP, Face Yourself shares:

"Face Yourself is proud to release our newest single "Predatory", alongside the announcement of our new EP "Martyr" via Sumerian Records. "Predatory" is based on a modern story with some metaphoric images. It's about going to a dance with a stranger and quickly finding yourself in a dangerous situation. 'Martyr' explores struggles through difficult mental health battles. The lyrical content on the EP is based on vulnerability, and confronting your own demons. The record flirts between standing up for yourself, but also getting back to this dark place, as no one has a perfect linear mental health. Sometimes it takes a few trials to heal old wounds.

Following the enormous success of their previous single "Sideration," which showcased the band’s ability to blend sheer aggression with lyrical vulnerability, the Martyr EPsees Face Yourself pushing even further into the unusual combination of emotionally vulnerable topics with ferociously brutal musicality. The EP reflects the cyclical nature of mental health struggles—balancing moments of empowerment with the dark pull of self-doubt.

Working with renowned producer Joey Sturgis (Asking Alexandria, Of Mice & Men, The Devil Wears Prada), Face Yourself have crafted an EP that musically blends bone-crushing breakdowns with hauntingly melodic interludes, reflecting the lyrical themes that flicker over the fragile line between strength and vulnerability. Pre-order bundles are available now HERE.

ABOUT FACE YOURSELF

A transcontinental Deathcore phenomenon, Face Yourself has redefined what it means to blend modern heaviness with old-school roots. Featuring members from New York, New Jersey, Colorado, and France, their unique sound is as diverse as their origins. Vocalist Yasmine Liverneaux brings her French influence and socially conscious themes into the mix, setting the band apart with an intensity and depth that’s rarely seen in the genre.

With their Myspace-era throwback riffs, drop-tuned breakdowns, and sheer relentlessness, Face Yourself have become a staple of the modern Deathcore era. Their ability to connect with fans worldwide and their tireless drive have made them a force to be reckoned with—and they’ve only just begun.

SICK N' BEAUTIFUL Share New Single "Hate Manifesto" + Music Video

Today, Italian metallers SICK N' BEAUTIFUL are excited to share their new single and official video, “Hate Manifesto”, taken from their highly anticipated new studio album 'Horror Vacui', set for release on April 18th, 2025 via BLKIIBLK.

SICK N' BEAUTIFUL describes the track as:

“A powerful and provocative new single that channels raw energy into a rebellious anthem. The song is an intense outburst of sound and emotion, built for those who have ever felt like outsiders, pushing them to turn their frustration into strength.

“The meaning of 'Hate Manifesto' is deliberately ambivalent - it’s a battle cry against those who try to label and limit us, but also a reflection on the destructive power of hatred. The lyrics walk a fine line between defiance and self-destruction, asking: what do you do with your anger? Do you use it to fight back or let it consume you?” they added.

Talking about the video, the band comments:

“It plunges into a world of late 19th-century occultism, drawing inspiration from colonial-era America, voodoo rituals, and the dark shadows of superstition. Haunting imagery and ritualistic performances set the stage for a feverish descent into hysteria and revolt, where the line between persecutor and outcast blurs. Steeped in mysticism and unrest, the video mirrors the song’s raw energy - an invocation of defiance against those who seek to control and condemn. A song for the misfits, the rebels, and anyone who refuses to be silenced”.

Watch the Music Video for "Hate Manifesto" below:

'Horror Vacui' is the fourth album by SICK N' BEAUTIFUL. The album title is derived from an ancient Latin expression meaning “fear of emptiness”, which perfectly represents this new cycle for the band.

The music and lyrics delve even deeper into themes of horror, dystopian sci-fi, and the supernatural - subjects the band has always been enamored with.

Written and produced by the band's bass player, Big Daddy Ray, at Kinorama Studios in Rome, Italy, the album concept took shape during tours in the UK and Europe alongside Wednesday 13 and Cradle of Filth in 2023 and 2024.

SICK N' BEAUTIFUL stated:

“By getting so close to the fans all over Europe, we really got a feel for what excites the audience. 'Horror Vacui' is an album meant to be played live: insane drumming, epic and anthemic choruses, face-melting solos - but also a lot of things we've never done before, with plenty of surprises! It's our heaviest album yet - raw and unrelenting!”

Pre-Order 'Horror Vacui' HERE

Established in 2014, SICK N' BEAUTIFUL's music has evolved into a unique blend of hard rock and modern metal infused with industrial and punk overtones, along with generous doses of sci-fi, horror, and occult influences for good measure.

Led by the captivating Herma Sick, they assault the senses with a spectacular production filled with visual extravagance, all set against a musical backdrop that resonates with fans of heavier rock, reminiscent of Rob Zombie, Kiss, Rammstein, Lacuna Coil, Marilyn Manson, In This Moment, Alice Cooper, and Nine Inch Nails.

Currently headquartered in Rome, Italy, SICK N' BEAUTIFUL present an explosive show, featuring songs from their albums 'Hell Over Hell' (2015), 'Element Of Sex' (2018), and 'Starstruck' (2022).

SICK N' BEAUTIFUL have toured extensively throughout Europe and has performed standout shows on legendary stages such as Wacken and Lucca Comicon. Their eclectic, cinematic videos have garnered hundreds of thousands of views on YouTube.

In their own cryptic words:

“This is the Ship Of Satan in Space. We have found kinship with the Different, the Strange, The Outcast: over the years, alongside our fans, we've laid the foundations of a hidden tribe where the power of music is wielded as a weapon against the Oppressors of all things Alien. In fact, an unseen war is now underway... So the question for you is: on which side will you stand?”

SICK N' BEAUTIFUL are:

Herma - Vocals

L0R1 - Lead Guitar

Debt Neglector Release New Single "Tough Luck, Kid" via Smartpunk Records

Smartpunk Records' outspoken political punk rockers Debt Neglector have released their new single "Tough Luck, Kid!" from their upcoming full-length album "Kinda Rips," which is set to release on April 4, 2025 via Smartpunk Records.

The track taps into a more personal and vulnerable side of the band as they explore the pressures and fears of fatherhood. The lyrical themes are set to the backdrop of Debt Neglector's signature fast-paced, anthemic punk sound.

Listen Below:

When discussing the single, Debt Neglector says, "This song is about the fear and insecurities I have after becoming a father. I’m so scared of passing on my anxiety and depression to my son. I’m trying so hard to be a good dad and want him to have an easier time than I did growing up. But are some of my issues hereditary? Is it completely unavoidable? Was I selfish for having a kid at all? I worry about these things literally all the time."

ABOUT DEBT NEGLECTOR:
Formed in 2016, these Florida punks have spent the last 8 years honing a sound that showcases their ability to blend catchy hooks with a vicious attitude. With four releases firmly under their belt, the “Atomicland” LP (2017), “The Kids are Pissed” EP (2018), the “Bad Faith” EP (2020), and the “Dirty Water” LP (2021), the band has already established themselves as a group that pulls no punches in their pursuit to call out injustice. Just to name a few, the band has screamed, shouted, and sang about systemic failures and distrust of the government, the fear of impending nuclear war, loss, depression, illness, and the USA’s sick obsession with assault rifles. And they’ve put their money where their mouth is by using their releases to double as fundraising efforts for organizations like the ACLU. Musically, their influences cover a lot of familiar and legendary punk rock ground. Taking notes from punk favorites the Descendents, Dillinger Four, and Bad Religion among others, Debt Neglector aren’t afraid to put their own spin on things. Their music keeps both a reverence for the past and a foot firmly placed in the present. The end result allows the band to craft songs with ripping fast drum beats, sing along choruses, quirky chord changes, and headbanging breaks. With past tours covering the US, Canada, and Europe, the band has set their sights on bringing their brand of pissed off punk music to whoever is ready and willing to listen. Debt Neglector are also no stranger to the festival scene with several appearances at The Fest (FL) and Sing it Out Loud Festival, and a showcase at Pouzza Fest (MTL), they have managed to share the stage with the likes of Propaghandi, Descendents and more. In 2024 Debt Neglector returned to the studio to follow up their past releases with a batch of new songs that has now become the “Kinda Rips” LP (Smartpunk Records – 2025). Their new music remains viciously political but also features some deeply personal topics including the pressures of fatherhood, insecurity, and dealing with mortality. The culmination is an album that is dynamic and relatable from a band whose angry and honest approach is a blunt kick in the pants to the powers that be.

ABOUT SMARTPUNK RECORDS:
Smartpunk has been a recognizable name in the scene for a long time (Remember that sponsored Warped Tour stage?!). After exchanging several hands and countless ideas of what it could and should be, they decided to start a record label in 2016 with the main idea of focusing solely on reissuing records that have been out of print or never on vinyl. After all, they're a label of vinyl dorks themselves! After releasing Set Your Goals' Mutiny and Gameface's Good, they started to venture into signing newer bands. They actively balance in between many worlds — putting out amazing music from friends and bands that rock, reissuing older titles, and partnering with other incredible labels in our scene and doing exclusive color variants of their releases.

Since forming the record label, Smartpunk Records has released timeless albums such as Less Than Jake's Anthem, Nominee's Lowlife, RIVALS' Sad Looks Pretty on Me, Virginity's POPMORTEM, and melodic skate punkers The Swellers' My Everest.

Watch the Visualizer for "Only"

MOON DESTROYS, the project of guitarist Juan Montoya (ex-Torche, MonstrO) and drummer/bassist/producer Evan Diprima (Gold Pyramid, ex-Royal Thunder), delivers a fusion of massive, swirling guitars and tight rhythmic counterpoints influenced by Alternative, Post-Punk, and Dark Wave. Their 5-song EP, 'Maiden Voyage', was released in March 2020 via Brutal Panda Records, featuring guest vocals from Troy Sanders (Mastodon) and Paul Masvidal (Cynic), with synth contributions from Bryan Richie (The Sword).

Now, their debut LP, 'She Walks By Moonlight', arrives April 4, 2025, on Limited Fanfare Records. Writing began in late 2023, with Montoya in Miami and Diprima in North Carolina, collaborating remotely. Realizing the need for a permanent vocalist, they enlisted Montoya’s former MonstrO bandmate, Charlie Suárez, who contributed vocals, guitars, and synths. Diprima handled most engineering, production, and mixing, with mastering by Carl Saff(Sonic Youth, Magnolia Electric Co., Melt-Banana).

The album’s first single, "The Nearness of June", showcases Suárez’s hypnotic vocals and lyrical depth. Other standout tracks include today's "Echoes/The Empress", exploring human disconnect, and "Only", a plea to mend the irreconcilable.

In late 2024, bassist Arnold Nese (ex-Sunday Driver) joined to complete the lineup.

On the album, guitarist Juan Montoya shares:

“This record is like a phoenix, soaring over the moon’s glow leaving behind the ashes of darker days. These are songs with passion in every pulse, tapping into a universal sound for the receptive mind.”

Estonian Metalcore Quartet PRIDIAN Announce Debut Album 'Venetian Dark' Out May 16th via Century Media Records

It has been in the making: Estonia’s metalcore force PRIDIAN are unveiling details for their upcoming album 'Venetian Dark' alongside their newest single “DINY”. Their record, which will mark the band’s debut album, is set to be released May 16th, 2025, via Century Media Records and follows PRIDIAN’s 2023 debut EP 'Cybergnosis'. With the release of 'Venetian Dark', PRIDIAN show not just their own potential in the international metalcore scene but also why Estonia’s growing metal scene deserves more light in the future.

The band shares the backstory about “DINY”

"I drove fast. Faster than I should have really. The night pressed in on me, cold and endless, the road disappearing into the blackness ahead. The air outside was freezing, but it couldn’t match the cold that had settled inside me. My thoughts circled around her, over and over. Every streetlight I passed threw her silhouette onto the road, and for a moment, I thought I saw her standing there, waiting for me. My foot pressed harder on the gas, wondering what it would feel like to just keep going— to let everything go. The emptiness inside was worse than the road ahead, and I wasn’t sure if I was trying to outrun it or dive straight into it. She was gone, but not gone enough. And no matter how fast I went, I knew I’d never escape her."

Watch the Lyric Video for "DINY"

Vocalist Laur Lindmäe shares about the inspiration for 'Venetian Dark'

"Looking at it on a larger scale, I believe that humanity has lost its connection with nature, the planet, and even itself. We relentlessly exploit every last resource, driven by profit and greed. Our ideologies have grown superficial, and we are becoming less and less empathetic. Even if we end up destroying the Earth, we seem to have this cockroach-like ability to survive. We'll likely figure out how to launch ourselves into space, discover another planet to inhabit, and start the cycle all over again.”

Paradise Slaves (Ex-36 Crazyfists, Diecast) Share "Aesthetic of Serpents" Video

PARADISE SLAVES, the brand new band featuring former members of 36 CRAZYFISTS and DIECAST, recently confirmed the May 2 release of their debut album With Hell In His Eyes via Spinefarm. Pre-order it here.

The band has dropped the video for the single "Aesthetic of Serpents." Here, Paradise Slaves serve up a riff-driven, '00s metalcore-influenced rager dosed with modern melodics and a chorus that will take up permanent residence in your brain!

Watch the video below:

"'Aesthetic of Serpents' was one of the first songs we wrote for the album and it's a song with all the elements of music we love with the heaviness and melodies we all gravitate towards," states the band. "Lyrically, it takes on a journey of a life well lived, all the scars and beauty that have lead up to today..."

The Boston-by-way-of-Anchorage quartet cements an uncanny union between aforementioned vocal powerhouse Brock Lindow (36 Crazyfists), solo artist and guitarist Tyler Stroetzel, guitarist Jon Kita (Diecast), bassist Brad Horion(Diecast), and drummer Ryan Manning (Pentagram, Blitzkid).

Mutual admiration and respect sparked the initial flame for Paradise Slaves, yet their newly forged friendship lit up their chemistry as brightly as a pyre. That same energy surges through their full-length debut album.

As the story goes, Killswitch Engage guitarist Joel Stroetzel shot a text over to Lindow mid-pandemic. As it turned out, his younger brother Tyler was putting together a solo album, Dark Verses, Vol. 1, and wanted Lindow to sing on a track. Right away, the duo hit it off as collaborators and buddies.

Following the first song, they continued to write and record. Given his longstanding friendship with Brock, Kita naturally fit in and joined the fold followed by Horion and Manning. Jamming away, they nodded to formative inspirations such as Soundgarden and Alice In Chains twisted up with just the right amount of hardcore grit and heavy metal eloquence. In between, they performed alongside the likes of Killswitch Engage, Fit For An Autopsy, and more. Eventually, the group congregated at Tin Bridge Studios in Massachusetts in order to record.

"This band is something I didn't expect," admits Lindow. "After it fell in my lap, I was making new music with new people and we became brothers, and for that, I'm so grateful. When you get a gift like this, you need to put your best foot forward and have some fire. I definitely still have the same fire and love for making music as I always had and it manifests in Paradise Slaves."

Judicator Unveils Second Glimpse of their Forthcoming 7th Studio Album 'Concord'

American Power Metallers Judicator have unveiled a second glimpse of their forthcoming 7th studio album Concord, in the form of the single “A Miracle of Life.”

“This song is about the quiet trade-offs we make in the name of safety and comfort – until we wake up one day wondering where our freedom went,” says Judicator vocalist John Yelland. “It’s a call to reclaim a spirit of defiance, to protect the things that make life unpredictable, painful, beautiful, and ultimately worth living.”

“A Miracle of Life” follows in the path of “Concord” – the album’s first single and music video, which was hailed upon its February 7 release as “representing Judicator in top form” (Music Existence) and “absolutely killer” (Power Metal Ranger).

Concord will be released worldwide on March 28, just one week prior to the band’s debut performance in Europe, at Epic Fest. “I can’t think of a more special way to celebrate our new album,” says guitarist Chad Anderson. “Performing in Europe has been a personal goal of ours since we first became musicians. We think that Epic Fest embodies the future of metal festivals, and we’re thrilled to be a part of it.”

Produced by Carlos Alvarez and Yelland, Anderson, Lofgreen, and clocking in at over 50 minutes, the 8-track Concord is Judicator’s first full-length album since 2022’s The Majesty of Decay

Judicator is one of modern power metal’s most dynamic, up-and-coming bands. Since their formation in 2012, the band has become well known for their intricate character studies about historical figures like Napoleon Bonaparte and Frederick the Great, as well as personal explorations of life and loss. Their new album Concord explores ideas and themes centered around the American West.

Concord is an epic exploration of American identity, blending historical events, folklore, and themes of cultural disconnection. With powerful storytelling that navigates both awe and tragedy of the American West, the album confronts the complexities of survival, power, and loss, offering a deeply resonant and thought-provoking journey through the nation’s fractured heritage.

Over seven albums now, Judicator have continually expanded their musical horizons. Their album The Last Emperor featured a guest appearance by Blind Guardian’s Hansi Kürsch, and in 2024, they had the surreal opportunity to open for Blind Guardian in Salt Lake City on their God Machine North American tour. From their humble beginnings to global recognition, Judicator continually demonstrates why they are indisputably one of power metal’s most innovative acts.

Thornhill Drop New Track "TONGUES" As US Headline Tour Sells Out LA Show 2 Months In Advance

As the countdown to Thornhill’s highly anticipated new albumBODIES (out April 4 via UNFD) continues, the Australian heavyweights return with their latest single, TONGUES.” Following the explosive reception of previous single, Silver Swarm,” the band’s new offering is a turbulent dive into the conflict between desire and resistance, surrender and defiance. Listen HERE and watch the accompanying music video below.

Speaking on the new track, Thornhill share:

"‘TONGUES’ explores the tension of being pulled between opposing forces—desire and resistance, surrender and defiance. In many ways, it reflects our own relationship with heavy music, the push and pull between being consumed by it or resisting its grip. The song’s atmosphere feels like an ongoing battle, shifting between aggression and restraint. Lines like ‘turning your tongue in two’ and ‘fingernails down the walls’ heighten this conflict, evoking the struggle to commit or break free.”

With swirling melodies, gut-punching heaviness, and deeply evocative lyricism, "TONGUES" builds on Thornhill’s previous singles from ‘BODIES,’ further cementing it as their most ambitious LP yet. “Silver Swarm” explored the chaotic manipulation and push-pull of toxic relationships, while “nerv.” fused haunting electronics with nu-metal fury, earning the band widespread acclaim, a Spotify cover feature on The Core playlist, and adds to Kickass Metal and All New Metal playlists. Together, the singles have racked up 2.6 million Spotify streams and 420,000 YouTube views.

BODIES’ is Thornhill’s most immediate, raw, and unfiltered record yet—a sonic rollercoaster that abandons rigid concepts in favor of pure, instinctual expression. With anthemic highs, crushing lows, and everything in between, the album captures the band in their most authentic form. Pre-order it now HERE.

In celebration of the new album, for the first time ever, Thornhill will headline stages across North America in Spring 2025. The tour is already shaping up to be a massive success, with their Los Angeles show on April 11th at The Echo officially sold out and several other dates on low ticket warnings two months out. Featuring AVOID, Ocean Grove, and Banks Arcade, this spectacular line-up is an unmissable event for fans of modern heavy music. Get tickets before they sell out HERE. The band also recently announced that they will be playing Louder Than Life Festival in Louisville, Kentucky on Friday, September 19th, 2025. ABOUT THORNHILL

Eternal purveyors of artful and engaging heavy creations, Thornhill possess a flair for nuanced rock beyond their influences. Via their ARIA Award-nominated 2022 album Heroine, Thornhill solidified a steadfast reputation as one of the most innovative and immersive heavy acts in the Australian scene, with Heroine debuting at #3 on the ARIA Albums charts, and at #1 on the Australian Albums charts.

Thornhill have amassed a heaving array of accolades over the years, including triple j's Feature Album and additions to countless Best Of The Year listings for their 2019 release The Dark Pool. And in 2023 and 2024, the band gifted some insatiable new material courtesy of standalone singles "Viper Room" and "Obsession", as well as a live album, Live On Tour!, boasting performances captured in the wild across the globe that released in June.

Thornhill kicked off 2024 supporting Silent Planet on extensive North American run, before joining Aussie heavies Polaris on tour in the UK and Europe, appearing at Impericon Festival alongside As I Lay Dying, August Burns Red and While She Sleeps, and touring North America supporting Northlane. Thornhill joined Fear Factory, Thy Art Is Murder, Hands Like Houses and many more performing at last year's Froth & Fury Fest in Adelaide, ending the year with a huge headlining a huge run across the UK and Europe.

Now, armed with their most ambitious and thrilling work to date, Thornhill continue their quest to reinvent heavy music with the release of 'BODIES'. Speaking on their upcoming release, the band share

“‘BODIES’ marks a bold evolution in our ever-developing sound. ‘Heroine’ was defined by its meticulously crafted and tightly woven concept, but the weight of this careful construction sometimes overshadowed the energy of the music itself, leaving some listeners feeling disconnected. With ‘BODIES,’ we’ve embraced a more immediate, unfiltered approach that feels like a lightning bolt, looking to capture the energy of ‘Thornhill right now.’

The album thrives on spontaneity and freedom, foregoing rigid concepts in favour of pure, in-your-face authenticity. It’s less about delivering a carefully constructed narrative and more about creating a visceral, open-ended experience. ‘BODIES’ serves as a sonic moodboard—a collection of feelings and vibes—intentionally left open to interpretation. It has an upbeat and almost celebratory, party energy at times, but also retains all the emotion and intensity Thornhill are known for, making it our heaviest and most explosive work to date.

With ‘BODIES,’ we invite listeners to connect on their own terms. It’s raw, personal, and unapologetically immediate—a record that thrives in the moment, capturing our band at our most authentic and free.”

Wolves at the Gate Announce New Album "Wasteland" + Share "Parasite" Video

Wolves at the Gate are back with a brand new album. They will release Wasteland on May 30 via Solid State Records. Pre-order it here

The band has shared the video for the first single "Parasite." Watch it below.

The song is masterful mix of synths, screams, and stompy breakdowns, so basically everything you want in a metalcore song!

"Throughout the whole album, we are exploring different concepts through the lens of a broader narrative and story," says vocalist/guitarist Steve Cobucci. "With 'Parasite,' we wanted to write a song that explores the relationship between a parasite and its host. It's such a powerful metaphor for the way that we all relate with our own weaknesses, tendencies, and sin."

He continues, "There's a sense in which we hate the way that we continue to go back down the same dark paths, but we only walk those paths because there is something we want and something that we are getting out of it. We can say that we hate it as much as we want, but there is something enticing about it. It is a song essentially about the insanity of sin. The very thing that we crave is the very thing that hates us and wants to kill us. Chasing after sin is a bottomless pit. Always promising but never satisfying."

He finishes, "The chorus line captures that idea saying, 'And I died a million deaths to live.' That's the picture that I see of my own sinfulness. I chose to dive into things that I knew would result in a million deaths thinking that it would give me life and regardless of how many times I saw how shallow and empty it was, I still chased after it. This song is a lament of a reality that I know all too well. And so I wanted to write a song that would shine a bright light on it for me to remember that sin is an empty promise that leaves you hollow in the end. The same way a parasite feeds on you until you have no life left to give."

Wolves At The Gate have quietly and naturally evolved since their emergence out of the Midwest in 2008. Their vision unfolded across albums such as Captors [2012], VxV [2014], Types & Shadows [2016], Eclipse [2019], and Eulogies [2022]. Blabbermouth rated the latter "9.0-out-of-10.0," while mxdwn summed it up as "powerfully moving." Along the way, the group tallied tens of millions of streams fueled by the likes of "Counterfeit," "Deadman," "Lowborn," "Peace That Starts The War," and more. Not to mention, they've performed alongside everyone from The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus and Red to Fit For A King, August Burns Red, and Born Of Osiris. In 2024, a core idea screamed out to guitarist Steve Cobucci, shaping the creative direction of the band's next evolution. It slowly, but surely seeped into the DNA of the music and his words.

"As I was working on the album and especially the lyrics, I began to realize that the Wasteland was a metaphor for a frame of mind that I don't want to live in, but a world I feel myself drawn back into over and over again," Cobucci reveals. "I hate it. It's a world of empty promises. It's a mirage. A counterfeit."

The musicians carefully pieced together what would become Wasteland. Cobucci co-produced the 13-track body of work with Josh Gilbert of Spiritbox, while the band recorded in New Jersey, San Diego, and Los Angeles. This time around, they added multiple dimensions to their signature sound, layering intriguing interludes and electronic overtures into the framework.

ELUVEITIE - RELEASE NEW SINGLE 'AWEN'

As the release of ELUVEITIEs new album ÀNV approaches the band release today their uplifting new single 'Awen'. The track sees the bands more traditional instrumentation at the forefront, shining a spot light on the Celtic roots buried within ELUVEITIEs core.
The new album Ànv, will be released on April 25th, 2025 via Nuclear Blast Records. After the headliner tour was a great success, ELUVEITIE returns to the stage in October 2025, together with ARCH ENEMY, AMORPHIS and GATECREEPER. All dates are listed below.

ELUVEITIE frontman Chrigel Glanzmann comments: "AWEN is musically perhaps one of the album's catchiest songs... sticking our necks out on pretty modern metal music, at the same time with a chorus coming in with that very traditional, mystically melancholic, solemn kind of 'grandeur', much like older Eluveitie songs such as OF FIRE, WIND & WISDOM, SLANIA'S SONG or ALESIA. Lyrically it time-travels some fairly bold lines off that several thousand years old mythological text ANV is based on, into the modern age and makes them speak directly to us and our modern civilizations! We're really happy with and proud of it and we hope you'll like it as much as we do!"

MIKE TRAMP Shares New Lyric Video for "Lonely Nights"

Esteemed rock vocalist and guitarist MIKE TRAMP shares a new lyric video for the track "Lonely Nights," the stellar single from his latest album - 'Songs Of White Lion – Vol. II' which is out now via Frontiers Music Srl. The album's ten tracks are a set of re-imagined select cuts from his former band, White Lion.

About the album, MIKE TRAMP shared this:

"Would Leonardo Da Vinci have re-painted Mona Lisa, if he had gotten a second chance? That, we will never know, but I can say for sure, that I am beyond thrilled to have gotten a second chance to re-record and sing the songs I wrote between 1983 and 1990. Today I have such a better understanding of how I want to express the songs in my voice than I had when I was in my 20’s, it’s just a fact, and I’ve grabbed the chance. 'Songs Of White Lion' is a whole new chapter, matter of fact it is current."

Check Out the Lyric Video for "Lonely Nights" below:

MIKE TRAMP came to prominence in the music world with White Lion, who formed in 1983. After signing to Atlantic Records, the band enjoyed great success with their second album 'Pride' in 1987, which included the hits "Wait" and "When the Children Cry". The band's third album, 'Big Game' (1991), and fourth album, 'Mane Attraction' (1992) continued the band's winning streak, but ultimately WHITE LION disbanded in 1992.

After WHITE LION, TRAMP formed the hard rock band Freak Of Nature, who had a decidedly darker and harder vibe than White Lion. Freak Of Nature would release three studio albums before disbanding in 1996. In 1998, Tramp kicked off his solo career with the album, 'Capricorn'; in 2002, his second solo album 'Recovering The Wasted Years' was released. TRAMP would then take a break from his solo career from 2004-2008 to tour and record under the name Mike Tramp's White Lion and eventually under the name White Lion, releasing the album 'Return Of The Pride' in 2008.

Since 2009, TRAMP has been writing and recording as a solo artist releasing nine studio albums, including his most recent, 2022's 'For Første Gang.' He has also been a consistent presence on the road, both as an acoustic solo artist and with a backing band, with no plans of slowing down anytime soon.

Volbeat Announce New Album "God Of Angels Trust" + Drop Video for "By a Monster's Hand"

VOLBEAT — Michael Poulsen (vocals, guitar), and Jon Larsen (drums), and Kaspar Boye Larsen (bass) — are thrilled to announce their ninth album God Of Angels Trust. This album arrives on June 6 via longtime label Republic/Universal. Pre-order it here.

The album will coincide with plenty of summer touring on the band's "Greatest Of All Tours Worldwide" with further dates and details below.

Today, the band shares the first taste of new music via the video for the first single "By a Monster's Hand." The song is a mid-paced riff-fest with no concessions to standard meter, juxtaposing pummeling rhythms with point-counterpoint hooks.

Watch the video, which splices footage of Volbeat in their most natural state of performing, all the while following an ominously unsettling and familiar face, here.

The video was produced by Ghost Atomic and directed by Adam Rothlein, the same team that lensed videos for prior Volbeat hits "Shotgun Blues," "Die To Live," and "Leviathan."

With God Of Angels Trust, The Danish band — which has scored ten #1 songs on the Billboard Mainstream Rock airplay chart, the most ever for a band based outside North America — has thrown caution to the wind, ignored comfort zones, and paid little heed to traditional songwriting in the search for something more immediate and surprising.

The end result will thrill Volbeat's dedicated legion of fans.

"In the past, I've taken a long time to write and obsessed over so many elements of the songs before finishing them," says Poulsen. "This time, I wanted to make a Volbeat record without thinking too much about it. Instead of following any kind of structure I said, 'Okay, there are no rules. I can do anything I want. I can start with a chorus or do songs that are just a bunch of verses stacked on top of each other. Anything goes.' That was freeing for me and made it exciting to write this album."

Poulsen's excitement to thwart convention is palpable throughout God Of Angels Trust, a punchy, crunchy album that's undeniably Volbeat, yet marches to a fresh new metallic and melodic energy.

Poulsen started working on songs for the follow-up to 2021's Servant of the Mind in the summer of 2024. Volbeat was taking a year-long break from touring to give Michael a chance to recover from throat surgery and to tour with his death metal band, Asinhell. Driven equally by his excitement to record a new Volbeat album and by his determination not to follow convention, Poulsen worked on songs for a mere three weeks with bandmates drummer Jon Larsen and bassist Kaspar Boye Larsen. Amazingly, they worked on a new song at every rehearsal. Three weeks into the process, Volbeat had arranged half of God Of Angels Trust. That's when Poulsen decided that having no rules meant he could follow his muse wherever it took him, and he veered off on a different path. He and the band still wrote and rehearsed two songs a week, but they started composing more familiar rock songs that drew from traditional elements.

The band entered the studio with their longtime producer Jacob Hansen in the fall of 2024. As with the songwriting, Poulsen wanted to work quickly and rely on instinct, so they just plugged in and started to play. To keep the music sounding urgent and immediate, Volbeat recorded live in the studio, playing as few takes as possible before moving from one song to the next.

When it came time to add lead guitar, there was no question that Volbeat would tap Flemming C. Lund, who currently tours with the band and worked with Michael in Asinhell. A mere 13 days after they started working with Hansen, Volbeat were finished.

As impressive as it is that Volbeat wrote and recorded an entire album in about five weeks, what's more incredible is that God Of Angels Trust sounds as fleshed out, eclectic, and fulfilling as albums that have taken 10 times longer (or more) to create. In the end, creating such a strong album so quickly was a tremendous challenge that demanded Zen-like calm, a joy for exploration, maximal creativity, and razor-sharp concentration to pull off.

"In some ways, it feels like we've come full circle,” Poulsen explains. "If you start drawing a circle over an extended period of time, eventually you've going to get back where you started, and that's how I feel now. I've dealt with medical operations, lineup changes, and all these things, and now it feels like a rebirth. It doesn't feel like we're doing our ninth studio album, it feels like we're on our first album again and there's something really refreshing about that."

Volbeat will return to the road on the "Greatest Of All Tours Worldwide," beginning in June and running throughout 2025. The tour begins in June with a co-headline Canadian run with Three Days Grace and special guests Wage War, which will be followed by headline treks in the U.S. with special guests Halestorm and The Ghost Inside, and Europe and the UK with special guests Bush and Gel. All dates are below.

Fans who pre-order the album from volbeat.dk or Universal Music Group up through 5pm local time on Sunday, March 9 will receive a code to access tickets before anyone else starting Monday, March 10 at 10am local time. Regular on-sales begin Friday, March 14 at 10am local time.

Evidence of a Struggle explores timely controversy on 'Give Us A Kiss' single, teasing sophomore album

Chicago alternative rock outfit Evidence of a Struggle presents their controversial new single 'Give Me A Kiss', the second offering from their eponymous sophomore albumout May 9 via The Glue Factory and The Orchard, following the lead track 'Eddy Derecho'.

Centred around the musings of multi-instrumentalist W P C Simmons V a.k.a. Rev. Billy Simmons,  Evidence of a Struggle has grown since releasing their 2023 eponymous album to also involve Matt Walker (Smashing Pumpkins, Morrissey, of1000faces, Garbage, Filter) on drums, synths and bass, and John Airo, who provides visual art for the projects. The new album is a lyrical departure from Evidence of a Struggle's 2023 debut instrumental album.

With recording, mixing and final production by Sanford Parker (Voivod, Russian Circles, Yob, Eyehategod, Wovenhand, Darkthrone), this album sees notable contributions by bassist Alan Berliant (Chris Connelly, Mavis Staples, Saint Asonia)and Solomon Walker (Liz Phair, Bryan Adams, Morrissey) with Grammy-nominated sound engineer Chris Gelin (Smashing Pumpkins, Trent Reznor, RZA, Tom Morello, Korn) handling post-production and mastering.

“‘Give is a Kiss’ is about incentivized control by media, government, religion, business, pharma, banking and mass media, who are not so subtly subduing us all with hollow psychological, monetary and chemical rewards to make us weak, malleable, dependent and wanting more just like that first kiss,” says Rev. Billy Simmons.

“We wanted to utilize some of the benefits (or curses as some would argue) of AI-assisted generative imagery. This is a different looking glass into everything affecting us, traveling within the same currents as the other songs or videos are flowing in regards to religion, money, war, inequity, inequality, pain, suffering, anger and, at the end of it all, hope. Still, it speaks through several differently-focused lenses, using this increasingly controversial technology. Maybe it can help everyone else look at themselves a little differently and avoid becoming part of the problem. Welcome to the uncanny valley. Give us a Kiss.”

Known for creating lush, cinematic, beautiful and sometimes chaotic compositions, Evidence of a Struggle spent most of 2024 weaving a dense tapestry of sonic, musical, lyrical and "visual observations” of what’s happening in our world now, in the past and what may happen in the future. Rooted within the chaos of our world, it is a loud and thoughtful sonic exploration of our unique ability as a species to harm, destroy, thoughtlessly marginalize, and discard with reckless disregard for anyone or anything outside of our immediate orbit.

"The video was created by Rev. Billy using a combination of analog and text-to-video AI generations. Over 100 generative video assets were edited using Final Cut Pro to make the final product. Each AI video I generated took 1 to 5 minutes, depending on bandwidth at The Glue factory. Not every text prompt resulted in a “good” video. For every single “good” 10-40 second generated video there were probably 3 To 5 that weren’t “good”. That’s a lot of time," says Rev. Billy Simmons.

"It’s not the most efficient way to create a video, but I’m really happy about the uncanny valley it allows me to explore. Each attempt to describe the angles, lighting, motion, and nuances that I want to AI encourages me to critique how I approach lyrics for new songs and how I can be more succinct and descriptive as a songwriter and storyteller. This video contains many hidden and easy-to-miss surprises. Happy hunting."

Transforming into a musical chameleon at night, Rev. Billy's day to day entails running Rev. Billy's Chop Shop, a salon with a creative space that regularly showcases artists' work (declared by Chicago Reader as the city's best gallery). The forthcoming 'Eddy Derecho' album is a lyrical departure from Evidence of a Struggle's debut instrumental album.

Rev. Billy previously collaborated with notable artists, such as RCA artist , Urge Overkill, Touch and Go, and major labels like BMG and Universal. In 2020, he returned to music in the midst of lockdown boredom, allowing him a continued creative outlet. Playing every instrument and recording his debut album at The Glue Factorystudio, he then joined forces with Sanford Parker.

As of March 5, 'Give Us A Kiss' is available from fine digital platforms, including SpotifyApple Music and Bandcamp.  The full album will be released on vinyl, CD and digitally on May 9.

THIS GIFT IS A CURSE Premiere New Album

Over the past 16 years, This Gift Is A Curse have pushed the edges of underground metal to violent extremes. The Swedes' new album extends their blackened reign of sludgy terror. With Heir, there's no escaping the blinding punishment that's handed down by their cold, hard fist.

Heir comes out tomorrow, March 7 on Season of Mist. But you can hear all 10 dark and ascendant tracks today by listening to the full album stream on the Season of Mist YouTube channel.

This Gift Is A Curse are blessed with an unholy triple attack. Heir wields the transcendent ferocity of black metal, sludgy doom and the crushing weight of hardcore. Hammering blast beats and a swarm of needling tremolo picks tear through lead single "Kingdom" like the hounds of hell. "I made a secret door into your eyes", a possessed Jonas Holmberg chants alongside Livmødr's bewitching queen Laura Morgan.

On Heir, This Gift Is A Curse reign where other swinelords fear to tread.

THIS GIFT IS A CURSE defies the transient trends of music, instead choosing to carve its path with the bones of the fallen. Their forthcoming album, 'HEIR,' is a relentless pursuit of the extreme, a mosaic of human suffering and the dark beauty that lies within. As the album prepares to sear its mark upon the world, one thing is clear: There will be no heirs to the throne of darkness that THIS GIFT IS A CURSE occupies. The crown is theirs alone, forged in the fires of creation and destruction, a beacon for those who dare to walk the shadows.

British death metal legends, BENEDICTION, have released yet another single from their upcoming new studio album, Ravage Of Empires, which is due to be released on April 4, 2025, via Nuclear Blast Records.

'Crawling Over Corpses' is a ferocious up-tempo banger, which transports the band's old school roots into the here and now while destroying everything that stands in its way. Dave Ingram's primal growls have never sounded more vicious, and the rhythm section fires on all cylinders with a barrage of riffs and massive breakdowns. Alongside the single, another fiercely entertaining music video has been released, which you can watch below.

Ravage Of Empires is available for pre-order on CD, LP and as digital album.

ABOUT BENEDICTION

“Sometimes They Come Back” is not just the title of a horror movie based on a macabre tale by Stephen King, it is also a summary of what happened to UK death metal veterans BENEDICTION, yet you might like to add a “better than ever before”. While never officially disbanded, 2020’s Scriptures, the group’s eighth studio album achieved what is usually not an easy feat. It connected well with classics like Transcend the Rubicon (1993) and its immediate and memorable songwriting, the heavy-as-a-brick Grind Bastard (1998), and also saw legendary vocalist Dave Ingram return with his merciless roar and knack for morbid, twisted lyrics. After two albums with Dave Hunt on vocals, Scriptures was BENEDICTION’s first record in over a decade impressing with aggressive up-tempo attacks like ‘Iterations of I’ and ‘Rabid Carnality’ or the neck-breaking mid-tempo barrage of ‘Stormcrow’, songs that became live staples alongside ‘evergreens’ such as ‘I Bow to None’, ‘Magnificat’, ‘Subconscious Terror’ or ‘Vision in the Shroud’ in no time. With Scriptures, BENEDICTION even almost cracked Germany’s top ten by entering at a phenomenal #11 of the Official German Charts showing that the death metal veterans founded 1989 in Birmingham, England, offered an extremely well received sonic catharsis when due to the pandemic, people were locked down and pissed off.

With their brilliant new record Ravage Of Empires in tow, founding members and guitarists Darren Brookes and Peter Rew, longtime vocalist Dave Ingram, drummer Giovanni Durst, and Nik Sampson (bass) will travel far and wide once more. Already confirmed are the Tales of the Triple Death Tour with Jungle Rot and Master kicking off on album release date as well as confirmed appearances at Wacken Open Air and Maryland Deathfest. More to be announced soon!

BRKN LOVE Release New Single "Diamonds"

Modern Canadian rockers BRKN LOVE are pleased to share a new single, "Diamonds"

from their forthcoming full-length album, 'The Program,' due out March 28th via Spinefarm.

About "Diamonds,Justin had this to say:

"I like to think it strikes a perfect balance between our classic sound and the soul and R&B influences we’ve been experimenting with on this record.

"'Diamonds' is the result of truly honing in on what we do best, defining the sound we’ve been searching for all these years. Lyrically, the song explores the idea that we all have greatness inside of us, but more often than not, we’re the ones standing in our own way. At the end of the day, real change comes from within—no one else can make it happen for you."

Exuding bravado, mystique, and a whole lot of heart, BRKN LOVE sets the rulebook on fire by plugging in, turning up, and churning out the kind of rock ‘n’ roll that makes you feel a little freer. Their gritty riffs pack enough punch to shake any stage while the grooves quake with just the right amount of hip-swinging gusto. Led by vocalist and guitarist Justin Benlolo, the music drips swagger, soul, and spirit amplified by arena-sized hooks and intriguingly inventive musicality.

An impromptu 2023 trip to visit a friend in Charleston, SC gave rise to their third studio album, 'The Program.' Justin initially planned on spending a weekend in town. That weekend turned into nine weeks, and he returned to Toronto with the bulk of the album’s material.

“I didn’t have anything else to do, so I brought all of my gear and studio equipment,” he recalls. “I was so inspired by the environment and the friends I made. It’s a big city, but it’s not huge. It’s just beautiful though. The experience inspired the whole record. Instead of being so picturesque and metaphorical, I told stories.”

The album title even referenced the name of the text group for his new friends in Charleston, embedding the experience and the city in the fabric of the music. The vision had already crystallized before he left for Los Angeles where he recorded with longtime producer Anton DeLost (CleopatrickThe WarningState ChampsDead Poet Society). These friends, and a variety of other characters he met, ultimately inspired the concept at the heart of "The Program."

“It was a collective of 10 people I’d never met before, and we kept using the term ‘The Program’ repeatedly like, ‘Let’s go here, because it would be good for The Program’,” he goes on. “It was cool to be surrounded by near-complete strangers, invite them to our place, and play demos. Their opinions were unfiltered and blunt—which was awesome. I was actively searching for inspiration, and I put myself out there in different situations. I was free and unchained to do anything.”

BRKN LOVE fulfilled a clear destiny to be as free as possible on their third full-length LP, 'The Program.'

“In the past, I put parameters on what BRKN LOVE is supposed to be,” Justin mentions. “I’ve been hesitant to put out certain songs because I was unsure if they were us. I’m older and wiser. I have more experience doing this. I know if I’m singing and writing a song, it’s going to be BRKN LOVE. I’m the filter the music passes through.”

Pre-Order 'The Program' HERE

BRKN LOVE emerged with their self-titled debut in 2020. The group quietly generated over a quarter of a billion total streams. They notched a Top 15 entry on Active Rock radio with “Shot Down,” while their cover of “River” by Bishop Briggs hit critical mass. It inspired over 2 billion-plus views on TikTok. It piled up 28 million Spotify streams. 2022’s 'Black Box' only maintained this momentum. “Like A Drug” notched north of 8.5 million Spotify streams, made waves at Active Rock, and emerged as their third Top 5 at Canadian radio.
