One OK Rock Drop New Track "Puppets Can't Control You"

Fueled By Ramen band ONE OK ROCK have today released a brand new track "Puppets Can't Contol You," available now at all streaming services — LISTEN below

The song was exclusively premiered during the first episode of the nationally televised drama Mikami Sensei in the band's native Japan just before its digital release, and will be featured on ONE OK ROCK's much-anticipated, forthcoming album DETOX, which arrives everywhere February 21 and available for pre-order + pre-save now.

Featuring a number of acclaimed producers including multiple GRAMMY® winner Rob Cavallo and GRAMMY® nominees Dan Lancaster and Pete Nappi, DETOX marks the band's 11th full length, studio release and set to arrive as the band celebrates their 20th anniversary next year.

Last month, the band heralded the announcement of DETOX by sharing the singles "+Matter," along with an official music video, joining previously released album tracks "Delusion:All" and "Dystopia." The band performed "+Matter" ahead of its release during their recent "2024 Premonition World Tour," which was enjoyed by nearly 200,000 fans over just eight shows across seven different countries last month. Standing out as their largest global run to date, the tour notably showcased their massive full-scale stadium show in Europe and North America for the first time ever.

ONE OK ROCK recently announced details for their 2025 Latin American tour, which kicks off in Mexico at the Tecate Pa’l Norte festival in Monterrey on April 4th, and highlighted by their first trip back to South America since 2017 to play their biggest shows on the continent to date (full itinerary below). Look out for more ONE OK ROCK news to come!

ABOUT ONE OK ROCK:
Founded in Tokyo during 2005, the quartet—Taka [vocals], Toru [guitar], Tomoya [drums], and Ryota [bass]—have unassumingly emerged as a global phenomenon and one of Japan's hottest exports with dozens of international gold and platinum certifications and billions of streams. Beyond six consecutive Top 5 entries and three #1 debuts on the Japanese Top Albums Chart, the group's global imprint has grown with a foothold stateside. They stand out as the rare force of nature who can tour alongside either The Smashing Pumpkins or Ed Sheeran—with whom they co-wrote '"Renegades" for the film Rurouni Kenshin: The Final. Produced by Rob Cavallo (Green Day, My Chemical Romance), ONE OK ROCK’s most-recent studio album Luxury Disease debuted at #1 in Japan marking the band’s fourth straight chart topping album in their home country following the blockbusters 35xxxv, AMBITIONS, and EYE OF THE STORM. Luxury Disease is highlighted by the singles “Save Yourself,” “Let Me Let You Go,” and “Vandalize,” the latter of which featured as the ending theme for SEGA’s Sonic Frontiers.

NYC outfit ECCE SHNAK shares 'The Internet' single ahead of new 'Shadows Grow Fangs' EP

NYC-based outfit Ecce Shnak presents their latest single 'The Internet', the third offering from their 'Shadows Grow Fangs' EP, out February 7 via Record Man, Records. Here, the quintet makes a fine mockery of the web from the perspective of a time-travelling poet. “What the fuck is the internet?!” Of course, this might sound a little ‘zany’, but it’s really not. Not at all. It’s intricately constructed, methodically fashioned, and – while undeniably offbeat – as serious and logical as it’s entertaining.

If there’s a fine line between wild-eyed, inspired genius and utter, irrepressible insanity, that’s where you’ll find Ecce Shnak, teetering on a neon tightrope. With Roush as composer, bassist, and one of two singers, he is joined by Bella Komodromos (vocals), Chris Krasnow (guitar), Gannon Ferrell (guitar), and Henry Buchanan-Vaughn(drums).

"The internet unites us as much as it alienates us. It is an avenue of both extreme bigotry and genuine human empathy, transmitted through the wires in the ocean and on the lands. This technology is as ubiquitous as it is fun as it is dangerous. It amplifies every part of human nature exponentially: our banalities, our flaws, and occasionally, even our virtues. It is as boring as it is exhilarating," says David Roush.

"Even the technicians of this digital landscape cannot fully grasp its effect on our lives. In this very perilous moment in human history, the internet could either make things very horrible, or it might help us in some critical ways. It is the ultimate paradox of human creation. Hence the question, “What the fuck is the Internet?” (Cue down beat)"

This single follows the stunning downtempo groove-inducing opus 'Prayer on Love' and the lead track 'Jeremy, Utilitarian Sadboy' about 19th Century English philosopher Jeremy Bentham, combining math-metal, post-rock and choral anthems in just 150 seconds.

Recorded and produced by Jeff Lucci at the Art Farm (NY), their debut EP was mixed by Nicholas Vernhes  (Animal Collective, Deerhunter, The Fiery Furnaces, Dirty Projectors, Wild Nothing, The War on Drugs) and mastered by Grammy-winning engineer Greg Calbi (John Lennon, David Bowie, Bruce Springsteen, Talking Heads, Patti Smith, Tom Petty, Todd Rundgren).

Ecce Shnak subverts notions of style, playfully but reverently embracing multiple forms from across the spectrum, frequently within a single tune, while addressing weighty themes and notable trivia with striking articulacy.

'Shadows Grow Fangs' showcases Roush’s incomparable ingenuity and limitless invention over five songs, running the gamut from slow-burning meditations on love’s indispensability to mockery of the web from the perspective of a time-traveling poet – “What the fuck is the internet?!” Of course, this might sound a little ‘zany’, but it’s really not. Not at all. It’s intricately constructed, methodically fashioned, and – while undeniably offbeat – as serious and logical as it’s entertaining.

Talking with Roush is like meeting a thoughtful stranger with extraordinary knowledge of the weird and arcane, a fascination for society and what led us to where we are, and a noteworthy ability to share stories in an enlightening and empathetic manner. His narrative style is much like listening to an Ecce Shnak song, which frankly makes the band's name perfect. ("Ecce" is Latin for “Behold!”)

'The Internet' is out now, available everywhere from fine music platforms, includingSpotifyApple MusicYouTube Music and Bandcamp. The ‘Shadows Grow Fans’ EP will be released on February 7.

Dead Bars to Release "All Dead Bars Go to Heaven" 3/21 + Share "Give the Metalhead a Hug" Video

Seattle's DEAD BARS — John Maiello, C.J. Frederick, Jon Oddo, Elliot Thordarson, and Rosie Gonce — were described by Razorcake as a band that "makes something impossible to duplicate look so simple and attainable." #Truth

For over a decade the band, founded and led by Maiello, has been belting out life-affirming hard rock with the same gift for the craft as acts like Japandroids, White Reaper, and Fucked Up. Since then, they've earned both national accolades and a reputation as a local institution, the band you're likely to see sweating it up onstage any given night.

Their newest record, All Dead Bars Go To Heaven, reminds us that there's "arguably no better Seattle band," according to The Seattle Times. It arrives on March 21 via Iodine Recorings. Pre-order it here or here.

The album boasts 10 hook-laden heavy hitters, from rousing opener "I Wanna Be A Ghost" to anthemic closer "Be Me." It also comprises a new chapter: a reintroduction to a new generation ready to escape the grind, as well as a reminder to the previous one of their potency. The emphasis is on heaven: a place of eternal reward for a life lived virtuously, regardless of the love or loss that once defined it. When the band cries "Dead Bars Forever," they mean it.

Today, Dead Bars share the video for "Give the Metalhead a Hug." Watch it below.

"I was listening to a lot of grindcore and Chumbawamba when I wrote this song," says Maiello. "I grew my hair long. I worked at a metal venue/bar in Seattle. The metalheads were nice to me. The metalheads supported each other. This song is a reflection on the act of kindness, believing in your fellow humans, and finding community in an unlikely place."

Grindcore and... Chumbawamba? Amen to that!

Additionally, fans can listen to the Dead Bars x KEXP takeover on Saturday, January 18 from 10-11pm PT. The band will sit in studio, spin some tracks, and talk with Dr. West on "Sonic Reducer Punk Show." Tune in at KEXP.org.

DAWN OF SOLACE Unleash Crushing New Single "Invitation" From Upcoming Album "Affliction Vortex"!

Finnish melancholic metal heavyweights DAWN OF SOLACE have dropped their crushing new track, "Invitation", taken from the forthcoming full-length album, "Affliction Vortex". Due for release on February 14th via Noble Demon, "Affliction Vortex" promises to be a dark and captivating journey straight into the depths of Nordic melancholy.

Following the first two singles "Murder" and "Fortress", "Invitation" is another powerful statement that showcases the band's signature blend of heavy riffs and haunting melodies.

Mastermind Tuomas Saukkonen (WOLFHEART, BEFORE THE DAWN) comments on the track: "Invitation is a crushingly heavy and beautiful song at least from the writers point of view. Sometimes a song and lyrics are born like a stream of thought and with effortless creation but once all is done and you hear the song as a complete piece of art it ties a knot inside you that you struggle to open even after dozens of times of listening and even speaking certain parts of lyrics remains unpleasant."

Listen to "Invitation" below.

Formed in 2005 as Tuomas Saukkonen's creative outlet, DAWN OF SOLACE quickly established itself with their debut album, "The Darkness" (2006). Despite a hiatus due to legal complications, the band's loyal fanbase remained unwavering, keeping the flame alive.

A triumphant return came in 2019 with the signing to Noble Demon. This partnership revitalized DAWN OF SOLACE, leading to two successful full-length albums - "Waves" (2020) and "Flames of Perdition" (2022) - alongside an unplugged EP. In early 2024, the band entered the studio, determined to craft their most versatile album yet.

"Affliction Vortex" will be coming out on February 14th via Noble Demon in CD, vinyl LP, and digital formats, and is available for pre-order at THIS LOCATION

DAWN OF SOLACE are:
Tuomas Saukkonen - Drums, guitars, bass and growling vocals

Mikko Heikkilä - Clean and growling vocals

Saku Moilanen - Keys
Jukka Salovaara - Guitar solos

AU's Windwaker Share Video for New Song "Arcane" From "HYPERVIOLENCE" Expansion Pack

Australia's WINDWAKER — vocalist Liam Guinane, guitarist Justin Keurntjes, bassist Indey Salvestro, drummer Chris Lalic, and synths/samples specialist Connor Robins — released HYPERVIOLENCE last summer via Fearless Records. The band also crashed domestic shores for their first-ever U.S. tour this summer, supporting Northlane. It was truly a smashing success where Windwaker won the audience over each and every night!

The band is dropping the HYPERVIOLENCE EXPANSION PACK deluxe record on February 14. Pre-order it here.

The EXPANSION PACK will include three new tracks, plus other surprises.

They share the video for "Arcane." Watch it below.

"'Arcane' encapsulates the emotions and inner battles when faced with moments of uncertain change," Guinane shares. "Written early on in my journey joining as Windwaker's vocalist, the song explores the push and pull of self-doubt and determination, resulting in an anthemic track embracing the weight of new beginnings and forging a path forward."

It's a fearlessly dynamic track that steadily builds its tension throughout, leading to a colossal breakdown and a torrent of riffs and screams. The song also highlights the band's effortless incorporation of synths and hip-hop cadences into its ballistic hard rock acrobatics. It also features a singalong chorus that will bellow in the crowds of all future Windwaker gigs.

Windwaker previously shared the visualizer for "Apathy." Watch and listen here.

Shattering all restraint, Windwaker tear at the seams of their sonic boundaries, refining and finessing their craft into something truly unique. Concocting an unsuspecting recipe of electro-charged violence, sickly sweet pop hooks, bouncing hip-hop moments and slick riffage, the charismatic quintet move towards exciting new territory with each new release. And HYPERVIOLENCE is the summit of their efforts.

Windwaker will return to the U.S. for their second-ever tour of the market this coming winter with fellow Aussies Make Them Suffer. All dates are below.

Emerging out of Melbourne, Victoria, the Australian outfit has cultivated a dedicated and passionate fanbase, amassing millions of digital streams since their inception in 2017. Last July's release, "SIRENS," has cracked over 5 million Spotify streams in just a few months time, and saw the band travel across the nation in celebration on the Love In The Dark Tour with Caskets (UK) and alt., selling out nearly every date along the way.

The band's debut album Love Language was released in 2022 via Fearless Records and Cooking Vinyl, demonstrated an unpredictable and undeniable exploration of love across 12 tracks. Windwaker translate their electric and eclectic energy on record to the live stage, with JB Hi-Fi's STACK Magazine last year reviewing: "From full-on mosh to sensitive slowdance, the five-piece delivered a propulsive statement on the status of modern metalcore." The band have carved their name into the core of Australia's alternative music community and have toured alongside some of metal's most favored acts — Beartooth (US), I Prevail (US), Motionless In White (US), Enter Shikari (UK), Caskets (UK), Creeper (UK), Northlane, and more.

you, infinite (Feat. Members Of This Will Destroy You) Share New Single "Shine Eternal"

You, infinite, the new project from This Will Destroy You founding members, have shared new single "Shine Eternal" from their self-titled debut full-length due February 28, 2025 through Berlin's Pelagic Records.

you, infinite reunites Jeremy Galindo and Raymond Brown, founders of acclaimed instrumental outfit This Will Destroy You, in a new collaborative project. After departing TWDY to pursue a career in medicine, Brown continued to write music while establishing a successful practice in Austin, Texas. During the pandemic, he accumulated a collection of melodies and ideas which he shared with Galindo, sparking a renewed creative partnership. Separated by distance, with Galindo in Los Angeles and Brown in Austin, the duo began to exchange ideas digitally in order to shape the foundations of you, infinite's electronic-edged, panoramic post-rock sound.

Between 2021 and 2024, the two came together in person to refine the pieces and ultimately to finalize the album. Working with Andrew Hernandez, who recorded and mixed the album in the summer of 2024, Brown and Galindo were joined by Johnnie McBryde, Ethan Billips, and Nicholas Huft, all current members of Galindo's TWDY lineup, in order to truly bring the album to life.

A simple, sparkling guitar refrain rises to full anthemic splendour in "Shine Eternal," the latest single from you, infinite’s debut full-length. The new project from founding members of shoegaze pioneers This Will Destroy You, "Shine Eternal" serves as proof of the indelible bond between Jeremy Galindo and Raymond Brown; the breathtaking result of a unique creative friendship newly reunited.

A modern successor to TWDY's own seminal S/T release, you, infinite is a reflection on over 15 years of growth and experience, both as bandmates together and as friends apart. A reimagined and reinvigorated approach to the sound they once pioneered, as you, infinite Galindo and Brown are charting a new course across a familiar yet altogether different landscape; honouring their past whilst boldly forging ahead into places unknown.

you, infinite is due to be released on the February 28. Pre-order it here.

"Shine Eternal" is out now.

Enterprise Earth to Drop "Descent Into Madness" EP on 1/30 + Band Shares "I. The Descent" Video

ENTERPRISE EARTH have announced that they will drop their brand new EP, Descent Into Madness, on January 30.

Pre-order it here.

The band has also shared the video for "I. The Descent." Watch it below.

"My vision began with a narration of the overarching concept to my bandmates, and it only felt right to start this journey the same way," says singer Travis Worland. "'The Descent' is a kind of overture for the EP and sets the scene for the following Hell to come."

The band echoes the singer's sentiment, saying, "We set out to accomplish one goal with this release, and we feel that we have achieved it. We envisioned a darkness, a spellbound episode through the suffering journey to insanity. Let loose your grasp, we begin the Descent Into Madness."

ABOUT ENTERPRISE EARTH:
Anguished, ethereal, groove-driven death metal enriched with innovation and technique, Enterprise Earth's music effortlesslytransitions from earth-shattering breakdowns to sickeningly slow sludge to blast-furnace pummeling without sacrificing a moody atmosphere. Each of their songs is ominous, ambitious, lurching, and engaging, including "Where Dreams Are Broken," "The Failsafe Fallacy," "Unleash Hell," and "Reanimate // Disintegrate," which collectively boast millions of streams.

Their list of tourmates over the years resembles a "who's who" of classic and modern extremity: Paleface Swiss, Lorna Shore, Cannibal Corpse, Whitechapel, Dying Fetus, Suffocation, Fit For An Autopsy, Thy Art Is Murder, Chelsea Grin, Shadow Of Intent, Carnifex, and more.

The lineups have changed since they emerged in 2014, but the creative mission persists. Guitarist and producer Gabe Mangold has been at the band's core since 2017. He is joined by the formidable trio of vocalist Travis Worland, bassist Dakota Johnson (since 2021), and drummer Aron Hetsko (since 2022).

Enterprise Earth "crawl[ed] from the shadows of Washington […] and death metal [was] reborn," Shockwave wrote of the band's 2015 debut, Patient Ø. A critic for Metal Nexus declared 2017's Embodiment "the heaviest album I have ever heard." The group's third full-length, Luciferous, joined Loudwire's 50 Best Metal Albums of 2019. "It never hurts to make an album that makes the majority of your peers look silly," wrote Blabbermouth. New Transcendence declared the band's follow-up, 2022's The Chosen, "a steamrolling juggernaut." MetalSucks lauded 2024's Death: An Anthology as "all over the place, in a good way," highlighting Mangold's guitar work as "nothing short of dazzling."

Descent into Madness builds upon the adventurous steps taken across their catalog, with focused rage and despair. The EP is an exercise in focused creativity unparalleled by most of the metal genre. It's par for the course with Enterprise Earth, whose music continues to innovate and dominate.

Although death metal is arguably the most brutal of sub genres , steeped in macabre imagery, Enterprise Earth conjures self-determination and independence from within the bowels of extremity. The band's authentic, impassioned precision and technical might are unquestionable. Committed to musical excellence and personal perseverance, Enterprise Earth carvesmeaning from the darkness.

ENTERPRISE EARTH ARE:
Gabe Mangold — Guitar
Travis Worland — Vocals
Dakota Johnson — Bass
Aron Hetsko — Drums

NJ Hard Rockers, WHO ON EARTH, Return with Mind-Bending Anthem "Lobotomy" - Taking Aim at Social Media's Mass Hypnosis

New Jersey hard rockers WHO ON EARTH are back with the hard-hitting and unapologetic single "Lobotomy" - pulling no punches as it confronts the grip of shock media, false news, and political agendas that have divided the masses and hypnotized a generation. The track stands as a raw outcry against the endless stream of content that keeps people locked in virtual lives, numbing free thought and fueling a culture of disconnection.

With searing riffs and urgent lyrics, "Lobotomy" calls out the manipulation and mindless consumption that dominates our screens. The band describes the track as a wake-up call to break free from the digital haze.

Vocalist Coosh comments, "In a country founded on civil liberties, many still allow themselves to be mentally enslaved by societal expectations—conforming to trends, no matter how absurd. Free thinking is increasingly mischaracterized as hate speech. Trust your own path and let your true self shine through."

In addition to the release of the single, WHO ON EARTH have also released a music video, available to view below.

On the release of the video, bassist Pete Rizzi adds:

"Although the subject matter of this song is pretty serious, ok, it's downright scary. We did have a great time cutting Coosh's skull open, rewiring his brain, and having him see the light. Just like in One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest!"

WHO ON EARTH have also announced the release of their highly antipicated new EP 'Smoke & Mirrors' out on March 7th, pre-orders will be available soon.

The release of 'Smoke & Mirrors' comes in the wake of a heartbreaking loss for the band. In July, WHO ON EARTH completed recording their new material, only to lose their lead guitarist, Bruce Gatewood, to a sudden heart attack. Bruce was a beloved musician, friend, and mentor whose legacy is deeply embedded in the band’s music.

Bruce will always live on in our hearts, and his contributions will be heard for many years to come,” reflects the band. “We’ve vowed to honor him by getting this music out to the world and keeping his memory alive.”

'Smoke & Mirrors' was produced, mixed, engineered & mastered by Mike Orlando (Category 7Adrenaline Mob) at Sonic Stomp Studios, NY, NY, while the EP cover art was created by Ken Adams (Lamb of God).

On the release of the EP, WHO ON EARTH comments, "We plan on releasing new music throughout the year, and 'Smoke & Mirrors' is part one. We can't wait for people to hear how the band has grown from 'Blame' and how layered our songwriting and musicianship has become."

Debt Neglector Release Double Single + Announce Upcoming Album "Kinda Rips" via Smartpunk Records

Smartpunk Records' beloved punk rockers Debt Neglector have released two new singles as the sneak peek at their upcoming full-length album "Kinda Rips," which is set to release on April 4, 2024 via Smartpunk Records.

Listen below.

In true Debt Neglector fashion, their new music remains viciously political but also features some deeply personal topics including the pressures of fatherhood, insecurity, and dealing with mortality. The culmination is an album that is dynamic and relatable from a band whose angry and honest approach is a blunt kick in the pants to the powers that be.

When discussing the lead single "Adios Amigos! Or How To Self Sabotage Without Even Trying", Debt Neglector says, "This song is about how, as a species, our proverbial goose is pretty much cooked. We’re slaves to an economic system that requires infinite growth on a planet full of finite resources. We’ve elected octogenarian politicians with short-sighted vision who only act in the interest of their corporate donors. And people have become increasingly divided, suspicious of their neighbors, and cruel to each other. Where is our sense of self-preservation? Where is our sense of community? It feels like it’s all eroding around us and the western world is quickly and quietly heading towards collapse."

ABOUT DEBT NEGLECTOR:
Formed in 2016, these Florida punks have spent the last 8 years honing a sound that showcases their ability to blend catchy hooks with a vicious attitude. With four releases firmly under their belt, the “Atomicland” LP (2017), “The Kids are Pissed” EP (2018), the “Bad Faith” EP (2020), and the “Dirty Water” LP (2021), the band has already established themselves as a group that pulls no punches in their pursuit to call out injustice. Just to name a few, the band has screamed, shouted, and sang about systemic failures and distrust of the government, the fear of impending nuclear war, loss, depression, illness, and the USA’s sick obsession with assault rifles. And they’ve put their money where their mouth is by using their releases to double as fundraising efforts for organizations like the ACLU. Musically, their influences cover a lot of familiar and legendary punk rock ground. Taking notes from punk favorites the Descendents, Dillinger Four, and Bad Religion among others, Debt Neglector aren’t afraid to put their own spin on things. Their music keeps both a reverence for the past and a foot firmly placed in the present. The end result allows the band to craft songs with ripping fast drum beats, sing along choruses, quirky chord changes, and headbanging breaks. With past tours covering the US, Canada, and Europe, the band has set their sights on bringing their brand of pissed off punk music to whoever is ready and willing to listen. Debt Neglector are also no stranger to the festival scene with several appearances at The Fest (FL) and Sing it Out Loud Festival, and a showcase at Pouzza Fest (MTL), they have managed to share the stage with the likes of Propaghandi, Descendents and more. In 2024 Debt Neglector returned to the studio to follow up their past releases with a batch of new songs that has now become the “Kinda Rips” LP (Smartpunk Records – 2025). Their new music remains viciously political but also features some deeply personal topics including the pressures of fatherhood, insecurity, and dealing with mortality. The culmination is an album that is dynamic and relatable from a band whose angry and honest approach is a blunt kick in the pants to the powers that be.

ABOUT SMARTPUNK RECORDS:
Smartpunk has been a recognizable name in the scene for a long time (Remember that sponsored Warped Tour stage?!). After exchanging several hands and countless ideas of what it could and should be, they decided to start a record label in 2016 with the main idea of focusing solely on reissuing records that have been out of print or never on vinyl. After all, they're a label of vinyl dorks themselves! After releasing Set Your Goals' Mutiny and Gameface's Good, they started to venture into signing newer bands. They actively balance in between many worlds — putting out amazing music from friends and bands that rock, reissuing older titles, and partnering with other incredible labels in our scene and doing exclusive color variants of their releases.

Since forming the record label, Smartpunk Records has released timeless albums such as Less Than Jake's Anthem, Nominee's Lowlife, RIVALS' Sad Looks Pretty on Me, Virginity's POPMORTEM, and melodic skate punkers The Swellers' My Everest.

Restless Mosaic presents 'Lost Within This Time' single featuring Lovespirals' icon Anji Bee

West Coast artist Restless Mosaic presents 'Lost Within This Time', the first taste of his forthcoming third album 'Quality Mirrors', due out on March 7.  The song takes many surprising turns, all of them dark. Developed around elevator samples that came to form four separate layers of this song, this lead track features vocals by Anji Bee of renowned dreampop duo Lovespirals, singing ethereally and as claustrophobically as the slabs of the unsettling soundscape behind her.

In the video, Anji plays a ghost haunting an elevator. With Restless Mosaic (a.k.a. Brandon Isleib) and Anji Bee residing quite a distance from one another, they shot their scenes separately. Portraying a ghost who lures Isleib into her haunted elevator – where she lives in a concert poster. Now entrapped, she transmits his soul into the poster, essentially taking her place. Isleib explains, "My home city let me and my producer film in a city-owned office building that hasn’t been used in years – a perfect setting to make a campy ‘80s horror story".

"'Lost Within This Time' is about my mental state post-pandemic. Like many, I’m finding it hard to re-acclimate. Places I used to go have closed. I quit doing the things I used to do. Many people I thought I knew either disappeared or showed sides that made me pull away. Society both on and offline seems much more hostile, and as a consequence I’ve become guarded," says Anji Bee.

"Working with Brandon let me express my thoughts in a slightly edgier manner, as the instrumental he presented me with is a lot more experimental. The elevator sounds, in particular, are quite eerie, so I had fun playing that up with an ethereal refrain of “I’m lost” – which sounds like it could be a ghost calling up the elevator shaft, or wandering down a long, dark hallway."

Brandon Isleib is an electronic songmaker based in Everett, Washington. The name Restless Mosaic derives from the idea of a mosaic's intricacy and structure, and how the parts and the whole relate in a way that they only make sense when they come together. In the same way, he combines sounds and genres, usually considered disparate, connecting them into something greater than any one of them.

Through these song structures, transitions and balanced textures, and by anchoring certain aspects, the listener can enjoy grounded music and enjoy these sonic adventures – explorations that embody a sense of restlessness. Noted as offering up “a setting in which listeners can expect the unexpected” with music that is “a boon for your neuroplasticity”, Restless Mosaic's music has been streamed over 3 million views via YouTube.

"I met Anji Bee through the listening party for the remaster of Love Spirals Downwards’ 'Flux' album. I had noticed she’d made a lot of different song styles, many of them dark, so I inquired about a collaboration. When she expressed interest, I started composing a sort of gothic metal song but swapping out all the sounds for ‘80s synth-jazz instead – something to fit both Anji’s angel and chanteuse sides," explains Brandon Isleib.

"That fit nicely with samples recorded of a creepy elevator in a hotel I had stayed at, and I started building the next part of the song around that. That gave the most space for Anji to put a verse, but she surprised me by wanting to make the denser chorus music into the verse. The ensuing rearrangement yielded the unusual structure of starting as a full-fledged synth song, then going into a barely melodic industrial phase, then gradually introducing both halves to each other. I draw a lot of inspiration from Underworld’s production style: set up the song’s rules and then start breaking them. 'Lost Within This Time' does this while showcasing Anji’s versatility and ability to make the bizarre sound right."

Anji Bee adds, "The frenetic, skittering energy in the first part seemed suited to my lyrics' theme. The fretless bass reminded me of music I loved in the '80s, like Mick Karn and Kate Bush. I tried to channel their vocal theatricality in my performance. Though I’m best known as a singer, I’ve dabbled in spoken word for decades, and I enjoyed incorporating a bit of that too. This is a personal lyric, but I think it’s pretty universal, and I hope that others in a similar period of their life will find some comfort in the song."

Apart from Anji Bee, the 'Quality Mirrors' album features contributions by New York singer-songwriter Rose Alaimo and prolific rapper Declaime (Aloe Blacc, Madlib, and Flying Lotus), with whom Restless Mosaic is already working on a new album that brings Declaime's poetry to Isleib's back catalog of instrumentals.

As of January 14, 'Lost Within This Time' is available everywhere, including Apple MusicSpotify and Bandcamp. The full 'Quality Mirrors' album will be released on March 7.

ENVY OF NONE ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM STYGIAN WAVZ (MARCH 14TH, 2025) ALBUM TITLE TRACK + NEW VIDEO ‘STYGIAN WAVES’ OUT TODAY

Envy Of None are back today with news of their much anticipated second album,Stygian Wavz, set for release on Kscope on March, 14th. The announcement follows a recent flurry of activity from the Canadian/American band which saw them release two singles, ‘Not Dead Yet’ and ‘Under The Stars’, both of which included on the new album.

To celebrate the announcement, Envy Of None have shared a new single - album title track ‘Stygian Waves’ – alongside a new music video animated and directed by Mariano Biotico. Speaking on the new single and the upcoming album, Envy of None songwriter and bassist Andy Curran said “This track is a favourite of all 4 EONs. Despite the fact of the spartan lyrical content, this song features our sweet Maiah on lead vocals. Her harmonies and layers of vocals are literally symphonic! It’s hard to put a finger on what style or genre this one is…and we’re proud of that!”

Though they’d never describe themselves as such, Envy Of None are the living, breathing definition of a supergroup. No other band on earth could rightly claim to have Alex Lifeson – one of rock’s most influential visionaries – heading up guitar duties, with Andy Curran of Coney Hatch and Soho 69 overseeing bass/programming as well as producer extraordinaire Alfio Annibalini on keyboards. However, the star in this band could very well be its youngest member – American singer-songwriter Maiah Wynne – whose wonderfully emotive vocals are able to spin the music in new exciting directions that thrill to the core.

On their self-titled debut of 2022, the group were able to prove that they were a lot more than the sum of their parts, with an abundance of panache and finesse poured into a contemporary alt rock sound that was hard to predict and even harder to categorize. This year’s sophomore release, Stygian Wavz, is the sound of a band basking in the radiant glow of creative confidence and coming into their own, staggering the listener with every twist and turn encased within their heady mix of genre-splicing brilliance.

Telepathy Announce New Album "Transmissions" + Share New Track "Oath"

UK-based post-metal instrumentalists Telepathy have announced the release of their fourth full-length, Transmissions, on March 14 through Berlin's Pelagic Records. Pre-order it here.

Formed in 2011, Telepathy is the creation of three Polish brothers: Piotr, Albert, and Krystian Turek, and English guitarist Richard Powley. Bringing a collision of musical influences from Tool, Deftones, and Vangelis to genres as diverse as synthwave and post-punk, it is the collective's pervading love for film and movie scores that truly unites the band's members under the Telepathy banner. Together, the four-piece quickly made a name for themselves through their instrumental balance of atypical tunings, found audio samples and joyride-like time signatures, conveying remarkably deep and dynamic narratives through their instruments alone.

Telepathy's latest offering Transmissions marks the culmination of four years of introspection, experimentation and revitalisation; representing the band at its expressive core. Inspired by faded photographs unearthed in the brother's family home and the surprise discovery of a long lost relic, Transmissions is a cluster of musical messages that hurtles between nostalgic snapshots of the past and the everyday chaos of the present. Amongst precious memories and family treasures, the Turek brothers stumbled upon a recording of the first radio broadcast of statesman Józef Piłsudski, widely regarded as the founder of modern Poland. The wonder and optimism in his voice, captured over 100 years ago, ignited an inspirational drive to reflect this sense of awe in the present by pushing their musical creativity further than ever before.

This revolutionary reinvention is immediately apparent on lead single and opening track "Oath," which poured effortlessly out of the band in just one day. A recreation of that famous radio transmission introduces eight formidable minutes of widescreen riffs and thundering drums augmented by a new arsenal of cinematic synth textures that pushes Telepathy's already genre-defying ethos towards introspective new terrain as they reframe nostalgic awe as a means of embracing the beauty of a shared present

"Oath" is out now. Listen below.

"'Oath' embodies so much of why we make music and our commitment to one another and to our craft," the band says. "It's a big, heavy, and cinematic track, both epic and intimate. More than just a track, it's a promise—  a vow to push the boundaries of our sound and to create music that resonates deeply with us and you."

“We’re really excited to share our newest single, 'Reign of Infinite,' with all of you. This track is a dystopian anthem that dives deep into the rise of a new god, blending relentless Overkill-style double bass drums with an epic and dark atmosphere. It’s not your typical CRYPTOSISsound—most of the song rides on the same beat and pulse, creating a hypnotic energy, while Laurens’ vocals bring an atmospheric edge. As the second single from our sophomore album, 'Celestial Death,' 'Reign of Infinite' offers a glimpse into the vast and intense album we've created—one that’s darker, heavier, and more unrelenting than ever before. “We’re excited to announce our new album! A sonic journey that pushes all boundaries of everything we created before. This album represents our evolution - an exploration of darkness that’s both vast and cinematic. 'Celestial Death' pulls you into a haunting atmosphere with relentless heaviness. Each track digs deeper into the enigma of existence, decay and fragile hope. 'Celestial Death' is our darkest vision yet - a soundtrack to the chaotic world we live in. It’s heavier, bolder, and still very much CRYPTOSIS. We can’t wait for you to experience it, and join us in this new chapter. Prepare to ascend. The 'Celestial Death' awaits!".

Recorded by Olaf Skoreng at Tom Meier and Studio Moon Music between April and August 2024, mixed by Fredrik Folkare at Chrome Studios (Unleashed, Necrophobic, Hellbutcher) in Sweden and finally mastered by Tony Lindgren at Fascination Studios (Arch Enemy, Borknagar, Amorphis) in Sweden too, 'Celestial Death' once more comes with artwork by Eliran Kantor (Kreator, Testament, My Dying Bride) and showcases the group on a darker, heavier, more melodic and extremely cinematic journey across its 11 tracks / 42 minutes of playing time.

LUNA KILLS Share Video For New Single "LEECH"

LUNA KILLS, Finland's rising alt-metal sensation, have unleashed their ferocious new single, "LEECH," the third track taken from the recently announced album, DEATHMATH, set for release on April 4 via SharpTone Records

The album promises to be a defining statement for the band, showcasing their emotionally charged lyrics and unrelenting sound. Previously, LUNA KILLS released "sugar rush" and "slay your enemies," both of which earned critical acclaim and cemented the band’s place as a rising force in modern alt-metal.

Watch the video below. Stream the song here.

Vocalist Lotta Ruutiainen commands the track with haunting, powerful vocals, while the band’s signature combination of heavy riffs, thunderous drums, and driving bass amplifies the song's dark yet anthemic energy.

"'LEECH' is a raw depiction of battling depression and thoughts of self harm,' vocalist Lotta Ruutiainen explains. "Its lyrics portray the denial and avoidance of facing the depths of the illness, even as it spirals out of control. Ultimately, it conveys the painful understanding of staying in that place, where fear and self-hatred have entwined so tightly with one's identity that they seem impossible to separate."

Ruutiainen shares a surprising insight into the creative process, saying, "The song was one of the last few we wrote for the album, and the music came together in a more relaxed and joyful manner than the lyrics might suggest. It's one of those songs that came together quickly because everyone instantly connected with the melodies and rhythms and had a shared vision for it."

ABOUT LUNA KILLS:
LUNA KILLS are, without a doubt, one of the most refreshing modern metal act in the scene, combining alternative and nu-metal vibes with electronics inspired by game soundtracks. Their frontwoman Lotta, with her jazz singing background and incredible fry scream vocals, brings the audience to their knees — unless they are speeding around in moshpits, as often witnessed in their fiery live shows. Even as newcomers, LUNA KILLS have already opened the door to their beloved gaming world as their music is featured in the hit mobile app Beatstar. The band, first formed in 2019, has now taken their first steps on European stages, gained the attention of multiple rock radios in their native Finland and are moving forward towards their first full-length album with SharpTone Records.

Lotta Ruutiainen — Vocals

Randall King & Fiancée Brittany Warthan Announce They’re Expecting 1st Child with Heartfelt Duet, “Baby Steps”

Hereford, Texas native Randall King and his fiancée, fellow singer/songwriter Brittany Warthan, announced they’re expecting their first child in spring 2025 with the release of their heartfelt duet, “Baby Steps,” available now.

Written by Brittany Warthan, Michael Davis and Dylan Nordquist, “Baby Steps” celebrates the little moments that go into building a relationship, each culminating in the next chapter of their lives as they prepare to wed and become parents:

So far, so good and its only getting better
Two hearts that could take on anything together
Still got a lot to learn cause we ain't got a clue
What happens when our world starts spinning pink or blue
Getting ready for more baby steps with you

“This baby is a massive blessing! I’ve always wanted to be a father and start a family and it kick starts this year,” King shares excitedly. “Couldn’t ask for a better momma either! This baby is gonna be SO loved and raised up on Jesus and country music. Can’t wait to finally have my little one in my arms!”

“I’m blown away and just honored that God has trusted us with something so special,” Warthan adds. “I’m excited to go into another chapter of life with confidence because I get to raise a little one with a man that inspires me daily.”

King released his sophomore album, Into The Neon, via Warner Music Nashville on January 26, 2024 to critical acclaim from Grammy.comBillboard and more, leaving Texas Monthly stating “his Texas bona fides are unimpeachable” and Holler lauding King as “the genre's neo-traditional figurehead.” The album yielded King’s debut single, “I Could Be That Rain,” which arrived as the most-added single at country radio, and has 80 total adds to-date.

King recently announced the acoustic version of the album, Neon (Unplugged), is due out on Feb. 21. For more information and to follow along with updates, visit RandallKingMusic.com.

About Randall King:
A West Texas native and self-described “old soul," Warner Music Nashville's Randall King has never wavered in his honky-tonk allegiance – in fact, he’s worn it like a badge of honor, growing with pride into a leading voice for today’s traditional country. Amassing nearly 400 Million streams with singles like “You In A Honky Tonk,” “Hey Cowgirl” and “Mirror, Mirror,” he’s kept the twang alive in country’s mainstream while also earning acclaim through deeply personal EPs like 2020’s Leanna, and his 2022 major label album debut, Shot Glass – which landed on both Whiskey Riff’s Top 40 Country Albums of 2022 and Billboard’s All Genre 50 Best Albums of 2022 (So Far). Schooled on icons like Keith Whitley, George Strait, Alan Jackson and John Anderson, but inspired by modern masters like Dierks Bentley and Gary Allan, King first built an independent, grass-roots following on the strength of his electrifying live shows – each one a harrowing mix of rowdy roughnecking, romantic tenderness and breathtaking emotion – never asking for permission to explore his creative vision. He has since gone on to headline all across the U.S., the U.K. and Europe, where he continues to play nearly 150 shows a year and hone his craft where it matters most. Named a Country Artist to Watch by everyone from Pandora and Country Now to Music Mayhem Magazine, his sophomore major label album Into the Neon, available now, takes that craft to the next level, as King’s neo-traditional roots meet the blood-pumping rhythms and sharp, arena-sized grooves of Y2K-era country and beyond. Co-produced by King and Jared Conrad, and featuring 18 tracks, punchy sounds exist side-by-side with timeless swagger, further blurring the line between yesteryear and today – even as King renews his forever-country vows. Into The Neon was named among the best country albums of the year (so far) by Whiskey RiffCountry Now & Entertainment Focus, and yielded King’s debut single, “I Could Be That Rain,” available now at country radio.
