VUKOVI have released the video for their melodic new single "SNO," which nods to the sound of '90s alternative greats such as The Smashing Pumpkins and Garbage, whilst retaining VUKOVI's unique identity.

The track is taken from their upcoming album, MY GOD HAS GOT A GUN, out January 24 via SharpTone Records.

Janine Shilstone comments, "'SNO' is a raw, emotional journey that captures the fragility and power of confronting your inner shadows. Vulnerability dancing with heavy-as-fuck guitars felt like the perfect soundtrack for an exorcism of trauma."

After reemerging on the recording side of the music industry with guest spots on

Michael Schenker Fest albums and tours in addition to fronting the hard rock supergroup Black Swan, MCAULEY was (and still is) feeling invigorated and ready to explore even more creative output to let the world see that his voice is still as powerful as ever.

Work for 'Soulbound' began in early 2024, following an intense musical period in between tour dates and studio work. With a slightly different production approach compared to the previous album, ROBIN’s vocal performance here is simply outstanding. Truly an iconic voice of the genre, 'Soulbound' solidly delivers the more hard and heavy aspects of this respected artist.

ROBIN's backing band includes some of the previous artists who appeared with him on previous efforts, including guitarist Andrea Seveso, as well as some new talent such as guitarist Alessandro Mammola and drummer Alfonso Mocerino.

Robin McAuley is widely recognized as one of the great singers of a golden period in hard rock music. His voice can be heard on albums from Grand Prix and Far Corporation, and of course, on the chart-topping MSG records 'Perfect Timing,' 'Save

Yourself,' and 'MSG.' Through these releases, he was introduced to hard rock fans around the globe, who no doubt recognized the inherent talent and skill in his vocal abilities.

Once he departed MSG, McAuley released one solo record in 1999, then joined AOR

legends Survivor. He then re-grouped with Schenker in Michael Schenker Fest on their recent records 'Resurrection' and 'Revelation,' And of course, in what was an absolute revelation to hard rock fans around the world, in 2020, he came out swingin' as the frontman of the supergroup Black Swan, where he joined forces with Reb Beach (Whitesnake, Winger), Jeff Pilson (Foreigner, ex-Dokken), and Matt Starr (Ace Frehley, Mr Big).

Lord Of The Lost Join Savage Lands on Breathtaking New Single

As Savage Lands prove on their breathtaking new single,  metalheads aren't ones to back down from a fight. After witnessing how land developers are tearing down Costa Rica's rain forest, Megadeth drummer Dirk Verbeuren and his old guitarist Sylvain Demercastel decided they weren't going to sit around and rust in peace. In 2022, they started Savage Lands, the music industry's first artist-run environmental non-profit.

Using the money that's generated by their music, Savage Lands has preserved 100,000 square feet of Costa Rican rain forest. 100% of the royalties from the organization's star-studded album, Army of the Trees, support their ongoing preservation projects in Costa Rica and other countries. But as they warn on their crushing new single with Lord Of The Lost and Chloe Trujillo, if we don't act fast and protect our ecosystems, then pretty soon, we won't just be out of time. We'll be out of breath.

"Out of Breath" marks the first time that Lord Of The Lost and Savage Lands have appeared together on a record, but the Eurovision darlings are one of the organization's earliest supporters. "When Sylvain Demercastel and Dirk Verbeuren introduced us to Savage Lands at Hellfest in 2023, we instantly saw the passion and necessity behind this endeavor and were absolutely thrilled by the opportunity", says Chris Harms and Pi Stoffers from Lord Of The Lost. "Music can not only offer a refuge to every single person on this earth, but it can be used as a sanctuary for the existential nature around us".

The video tones down the glam and glitter with its dystopian footage, but Harms screams with bloody conviction alongside the explosive wails of Black Bomb A and Savage Lands vocalist Poun. "We loved writing this song, as it was yet again another stylistic facet that we haven't necessarily touched already", Lord Of The Lost continues. The song's bridge craters under the cavernous weight of Harms' death growls. "We're left for dead". 

But not all hope is lost. From the ashes of Stoffers' smoldering solo alights a familiar voice. "Look at the sky", beckons Chloe Trujillo, who reprises her mystic role from earlier single "Black Rock Heart". "A place to breath / People and trees". It's a chilling reminder of all we stand to lose.

Reborn PATRIARKH (formerly Batushka) returns with

a masterpiece of arcane black metal!

'ПРОРОК ИЛИЯ' details a true story that happened in the band’s home area of Podlasie, in the village of Grzybowszczyzna, in the 1930s and 40s. The album takes the listener into the world of Eliasz Klimowicz, the titular Prophet Ilja, an illiterate peasant who was the leader of the Orthodox Grzybowska Sect, active until the 1960s, cultivating and transmitting the history of the self-proclaimed prophet. PATRIARKH spread their gospel by using an arsenal of folk instruments, such as tagelharpa, mandolin, mandocello, hurdy-gurdy, and stringed dulcimer, and worked with a symphony orchestra and choirs to give their new creations the most organic and vivid feeling possible. As is trademark with PATRIARKH’s music, Orthodox sacredness is mixed with black and doom metal, now largely enriched with folk music, neo-dark folk, and even film music. The band utilizes the entire palette of Orthodox music, venturing into the areas of Byzantine monody, liturgical chant, and Russian polyphony, neatly adapting folk and liturgical melodies to their own style. 

PATRIARKH on the new album:

“With this new release, we are starting a new chapter in our history - not only is our name changing, but our music is also undergoing a natural evolution. The story on the album encouraged us to get out of our comfort zone, we reached for means that we had not used before in our music. Many of you will wonder if this is still black metal? The lyrical side of 'ПРОРОК ИЛИЯ' is an interesting mix of theater and pastoralism. PATRIARKH uses fragments of texts from the theater play "Prorok Ilja" and draws from the messages contained in the works of Włodzimierz Pawluczuk, combining it with folk and liturgical texts. On 'ПРОРОК ИЛИЯ,' listeners can hear various languages – and Polish for the first time ever! The album was recorded in January and May 2024 at Tall Pine Records (Behemoth, Zalewski, Afromental), Heinrich House (Behemoth, Vesania, Hate), Wem Studio (Kasa Chorych, Lukasyno, Cira), and Radio Białystok studio. Mixing and mastering was handled by Wojciech Wiesławski at Hertz Studio (Vader, Behemoth, Decapitated), and production was helmed by band mastermind and leading vocalist Bartłomiej "Варфоломей" Krysiuk. “ПРОРОК ИЛИЯ is an album full of emotions, sentimentalism and folklore. It’s pastoral, lyrical, epic, multidimensional, and multicolored, just like my Podlasie is multicolored,” says Варфоломей. You, infinite, the new project from This Will Destroy You founding members, have announced the release of their self-titled debut full-length on February 28, 2025 through Berlin's Pelagic Records.

you, infinite reunites Jeremy Galindo and Raymond Brown, founders of acclaimed instrumental outfit This Will Destroy You, in a new collaborative project. After departing TWDY to pursue a career in medicine, Brown continued to write music while establishing a successful practice in Austin, Texas. During the pandemic, he accumulated a collection of melodies and ideas which he shared with Galindo, sparking a renewed creative partnership. Separated by distance, with Galindo in Los Angeles and Brown in Austin, the duo began to exchange ideas digitally in order to shape the foundations of you, infinite's electronic-edged, panoramic post-rock sound.

Between 2021 and 2024, the two came together in person to refine the pieces and ultimately to finalize the album. Working with Andrew Hernandez, who recorded and mixed the album in the summer of 2024, Brown and Galindo were joined by Johnnie McBryde, Ethan Billips, and Nicholas Huft, all current members of Galindo's TWDY lineup, in order to truly bring the album to life.

Post-punk / Darkwave pioneers PINK TURNS BLUE reveal profound single 'Black Swan (But I Know There Is More to Life)'

Iconic post-punk band Pink Turns Blue has announced that their new 'Black Swan' album will be released in February on limited edition vinyl, CD and digitally via Orden Records. Ahead of that, they present the single 'Black Swan (But I Know There Is More to Life)', the only ballad on the album. Setting the tone for this album, this song offers ample fruit for thought to round out the yea, delving into profound questions about existence, reflecting on life’s purpose and contemplating what makes for a meaningful life and the beauty of the world.

After 2021's widely acclaimed ‘Tainted’ album, the companion 'Tainted Tour 2022' EPand successful American and European tours with often-sold-out concerts, the Berliners' new studio album will be followed by their 'Black Swan' tour, which sees them tour throughout Germany in April.

This new collection is aptly named 'Black Swan', a term used for an unexpected event that, in retrospect, is rationalized as if one could have prepared for it.

Formed in 1985 in the first generation of gothic rock and named after a Hüsker Dü song, Pink Turn Blue's debut album 'If Two Worlds Kiss' advanced the darkwave sub-genre while becoming a seminal post-punk album. Emerging from the fear and uncertainty of a divided Cold War Germany and inspired by Joy Division, The Sound and The Chameleons, they have since released a dozen full-length LPs and have become known for their trademark blend of post-punk, alternative rock and new wave.

Renowned guitarist and composer Ron 'BUMBLEFOOT' Thal is back with a brand-new instrumental album, 'Bumblefoot ...Returns!', set for release on January 24, 2025. Thirty years after his debut solo instrumental album, BUMBLEFOOT revisits his roots with a 14-track masterpiece that spans genres from metal to orchestral to blues.

The album’s opening track, “Simon in Space,” serves as its first single, delivering an electrifying ride through chaos and intensity. The single is available for streaming HERE. The first public airing of ELLIS MANO BAND’s fourth album 'MORPH' was performed during their support slot to rock legends Deep Purple, on their German tour in July 2024. The record features eleven tracks, including "For All I Care", which was one of the highlights in their set supporting the British rock legends. Powerful and characterised by tempo changes, it is a contemporary, modernised homage to the essence of classic rock from the late 1960s to the end of the 1970s. A quiet acoustic interlude is thrown in for good measure. A definite nod to the unforgotten Old School. Metal powerhouse BLEED FROM WITHIN have announced their new album Zenith that is set to be released on Apri 4th via Nuclear Blast Records. Alongside the announcement, the band have revealed the video for their new single 'In Place Of Your Halo', a thunderous shot of modern metal fury that pays homage to their native Scotland with a bagpipe-backed refrain for the ages.

It is an anthem for those that feel like life has passed them by, or those that have been held back by their own limitations. We are killing the older version of ourselves in order to grow. NYC's genre-fluid ECCE SHNAK delivers blissfully pensive 'Prayer on Love' single

NYC-based outfit Ecce Shnak presents 'Prayer on Love', the second offering from their forthcoming 'Shadows Grow Fangs' EP, slated for release on February 7 via Record Man, Records. A pensive track, its guitars richly textured, its snare drums rattling, 'Prayer on Love' sees frontman David Roush’s vocals at their most distinctively beautiful. With it, they have shared a video directed by Brooklyn-based cinematographer Milton Walker.
 
“‘Prayer on Love’ is our most whole-grain rock song to date," says David Roush, "It’s a meditation on the nature of love and its diverse manifestations. It honors the complexity of love without declaring that it ‘is all we need'. The last verse is a celebration of the unique love in each person, all of our flaws notwithstanding: ‘Still my love is a star / Still my love’s a precious opportunity / and a miracle / flowing down the river of consequences and circumstances / and a self-same being.’”

This follows their powerful single 'Jeremy, Utilitarian Sadboy' about 19th Century English philosopher Jeremy Bentham, combining math-metal, post-rock and choral anthems in just 150 seconds.

Recorded and produced byJeff Lucciat the Art Farm (NY), their debut EP was mixed byNicholas Vernhes (Animal Collective, Deerhunter, The Fiery Furnaces, Dirty Projectors, Wild Nothing, The War on Drugs) and mastered by Grammy-winning engineer Greg Calbi (John Lennon, David Bowie, Bruce Springsteen, Talking Heads, Patti Smith, Tom Petty, Todd Rundgren).

If there’s a fine line between wild-eyed, inspired genius and utter, irrepressible insanity, that’s where you’ll find Ecce Shnak, teetering on a neon tightrope. With Roush as composer, bassist, and one of two singers, he is joined byBella Komodromos(vocals),Chris Krasnow(guitar),Gannon Ferrell (guitar), andHenry Buchanan-Vaughn(drums).

This group subverts notions of style, playfully but reverently embracing multiple forms from across the spectrum, frequently within a single tune, while addressing weighty themes and notable trivia with striking articulacy. Roush notes, “Each genre has its own manner of expression, mannerisms, history, motivations, virtues, flaws, limitations, and so on. At my best as a composer and lyricist, I listen to and respect each one, then whatever I take from their souls informs mine, inhabiting it, expanding, and merging.”
 
'Shadows Grow Fangs' showcases Roush’s incomparable ingenuity and limitless invention over five songs, running the gamut from slow-burning meditations on love’s indispensability to mockery of the web from the perspective of a time-traveling poet – “What the fuck is the internet?!” Of course, this might sound a little ‘zany’, but it’s really not. Not at all. It’s intricately constructed, methodically fashioned, and – while undeniably offbeat – as serious and logical as it’s entertaining.
 
Talking with Roush is like meeting a thoughtful stranger with extraordinary knowledge of the weird and arcane, a fascination for society and what led us to where we are, and a noteworthy ability to share stories in an enlightening and empathetic manner. Then finally, while you’re still absorbing all the information he’s imparted, he’ll tie the knot to complete this elegant necklace. His narrative style, in fact, is much like listening to an Ecce Shnak song, which frankly makes the band's name perfect. “The meaning,” he concludes is, ‘look at this!’” (‘Ecce’ – Latin for “Behold!”)

PALEFACE SWISS Unveil New Single & Music Video “LOVE BURNS”

Switzerland’s Paleface Swiss continue their unrelenting march towards the release of their third album, ‘Cursed,’ with the unveiling of their brand-new single, “Love Burns.” Following the intensity of previous tracks “Hatred”, which was recently included in Loudwire’s coveted ‘Best Rock & Metal Songs of 2024’ list and nominated for “Angriest Song of The Year” in Nik Nocturnal’s popular annual awards and “My Blood On Your Hands,” also nominated in Nik Nocturnal Awards 2024 for ‘Best Animal Noise, this latest offering delves deeper into the band’s evolving artistry, balancing their signature heaviness with an emotionally charged narrative. “Love Burns” picks up where “My Blood On Your Hands” left off, unfolding a fictional tale of love turned destructive. Opening with the chaotic brutality that fans have come to expect, the track crescendos into a hauntingly melodic conclusion, a move that highlights the band’s growth and willingness to push boundaries. Each track on the band's upcoming album is represented by a different flower, features on the album artwork. “Love Burns” is represented by the Cyclamen—a bloom associated with parting, resignation and saying goodbye.Frontman Marc “Zelli” Zellweger explains,

“‘Love Burns’ is a combination of the old and new, and it’s a song I’m immensely proud of. The story I want to tell is something everyone can relate to. The concept of the album, in which each flower represents an emotion and a track, makes it all the more cohesive for me.”

The band's upcoming third full-length, ‘Cursed’ is a masterclass in modern brutality and encapsulates two years of creative exploration and raw personal experiences for the Paleface Swiss members. The band retreated to the seclusion of the Canary Islands to craft this sonic juggernaut. Collaborating with Ron Steven Deris at Misueno Studios and with long-time collaborator Florent Salfati (Landmvrks) helping to add the finishing touches, their work culminated in an album that marries the band’s signature heaviness with intricate conceptual storytelling. The first single from the album, “Hatred”, was released in September, delivering the perfect blend of bombastic nu-core swagger, incendiary rapid fire vocals, thrash-inspired guitar solos and the pummeling rhythmic section the band have become globally renowned for. Since release, ‘Hatred’ has hit 877k streams on Spotify alone, with the accompanying music video hitting 250k views.  

The release of “Love Burns” comes as Paleface Swiss prepare for their most ambitious touring schedule yet. Their European and UK headline tour kicks off on January 30th, 2025, in their hometown of Zurich, Switzerland, with support from The Acacia Strain and Desolated. Following 27 dates across Europe and the UK, the band will bring their monstrous sound to North America, beginning March 20th in Detroit, MI.
