NEW SINGLE/VIDEO FROM THE JEREMY EDGE PROJECT, “CORAL CASTLE” TO BE RELEASED ON FEBRUARY 14th

The newest single from The Jeremy Edge Project’s double album release, ‘Saints and Souls Vol 1 & 2,’ is hitting all streaming platforms in February, with a new music video dropping February 14th.

Entitled “Coral Castle,” the song was recorded in PA and NJ and was mixed by Kevin "Caveman" Shirley (known for his work with Led Zeppelin, Black Crowes, Joe Bonamassa, Iron Maiden and more) and features Edge's bluesy "Robin Trower-esque" style in a more ethereal vibe - flanked by funky rhythm section grooves and haunting mellotron strings.

Edge elaborates: "This song was inspired by artists like Sade, Maxi Priest and Seal who utilize a hint of jazz and blues to make haunting yet grooving songs you can get entranced by. It's also Hendrix-ish and 70s rock guitar driven. I used a great Jimi Hendrix/Robin Trower sounding effect pedal sent to me by Chris of ‘Pedal Pawn,’ the ‘Gypsy Vibe’ that just replicates that classic sound so well.

“I love trying to create new things with a ‘melting pot’ approach to songs.
This song is the most laid back on the record and although there are several stories going in my head about where the lyrics are coming from it mostly deals with hoping people leave abusive, harmful or simply toxic and unhealthy situations. Many times, they never do.”

“The title and chorus were inspired by the old "Coral Castle" in Florida built by one man who seemed to defy the laws of physics.

It's a sad but intriguing story that borders on the supernatural and I just thought it a great concept to try to reference here. Kevin Shirley was so kind enough to mix a couple of tracks for our record in between large album projects and I just love the way it came out."

New double album from Jeremy Edge: "Saints and Souls" Volume 1 and Volume 2
New Single "Move On" featuring Derek Sherinian out on Dec 2nd

After 4 top 50 Active Rock singles with Candlelight Red, Jeremy Edge launched The Jeremy Edge Project in 2020 Making a departure stylistically with more blues-based, guitar-based rock.

After extensive gigging in 2021 including dates with Lita Ford, Jackyl, Randy Hansen, Derek St Holmes and Gary Hoey, Edge and crew are back with their sophomore effort Saints and Souls, being released in two volumes. This record was more than a year in the making, recorded and mixed in different locations and is in the spirit of the classic rock and blues albums that first inspired Jeremy to play. The album contains artwork and lyrical imagery inspired by New Orleans and some of the stories and folklore surrounding it. It is named as a tip of the hat to the Haitian traditions of "All Saints Day" and "All Souls Day" as a means of celebrating life and those who have passed. There is a recurring theme of light and dark and a struggle to overcome adversity. Some are personal stories, some are about modern times, and some are based on fiction and folklore but all have this recurring theme.

The band is rounded out by John DeLowery on bass and Ray Gieda on drums with guest appearances by Derek Sherinian (Dream Theater, Black Country Communion) playing keys on "Move On" and "Hellride", with select tracks mixed by Kevin "Caveman" Shirley (Led Zeppelin, The Black Crowes, Joe Bonamassa, etc…). The band will be out on the road supporting this through 2023.

The first single: "Move On" hits streaming outlets on Dec 2nd, with the full album of volume dropping on Dec 23rd.

Jeremy Edge releases new single today "The World is Gone" with his band "The Jeremy Edge Project''

Jeremy Edge has released a new single "The World is Gone" with his band "The Jeremy Edge Project'', which will be the first sneak peak of "Coral Castles Vol 1 and 2" with an expected 2022 release.

This will mark the first offering since the debut "Jeremy Edge Project" album released in 2020. The debut record's "Firedancer" peaked at #22 on Billboard's Rock Indicator charts.

The World is Gone harkens to a more traditional blues ballad invoking Ray Charles inspired chord progressions and soulful singing but with blistering guitar work on the song's outro.
Unlike the previous offering Edge takes over vocal duties on this new album but will be recruiting more surprise guest players to add flavor to the album alongside bassist John Delowery and Drummer Ray Gieda. The album promises to offer more 70s inspired bluesy rock blended with soul, hard rock and other stylistic blends.

"I wanted to do something kinda stripped down that is a more traditional jazz / blues progression. We put the rhythm guitar, bass and drums in the room and just jammed this one and I wanted to really capture the sound of the room, like the band was playing in a small club. I approached this lyrically from the perspective of a couple who had big plans and dreams and had those disrupted by some of the events that happened in the world, thus changing all of those plans and creating a distance."

Jeremy will return to the studio this month with Grammy nominated producer/engineer Mike Feretti to finish work on the record.

The trio will be promoting the release with a string of dates in northern PA and NY state this summer, including appearances with Jackyl and Randy Hansen.

"The World Is Gone", will be available at all major streaming outlets and downloadable on March 18th.

THE JEREMY EDGE PROJECT ANNOUNCE LIVE DATES FOR SUMMER AND FALL

mail-39.png

This summer/fall of 2021, the Jeremy Edge Project will be hitting the road to do some shows in the northeast.

The band will be sharing a bill with Randy Hansen's Hendrix Experience on August 28th in Addison, NY, and also co-headlining the Cowanesque Rock and Blues Fest in Knoxville PA with Dustin Douglas and the Electric Gentleman on September 5th.

Edge: "It feels great to be playing live again. 2020 was a rough year for everyone, but I am still grateful we got a chance to write and record a lot of music. Now it's time to get out there and get to work!"

A video performance of the Cream/Robert Johnson classic, "Crossroads" (cover by The Jeremy Edge Project -The Garage Sessions) can be viewed here: https://youtu.be/UCFo9Ja2t2E

Currently supporting the 2020 self-titled release and recent "Garage Session" series of videos, Edge has a new full length album in the works, and is looking forward to a late 2021 release as follow up to the 2020 debut. That LP was released on vinyl, CD and digital outlets, with the single "Firedancer" hitting #9 on Foundations and #22 on Billboard's indicator charts.

The album featured guest appearances by Brett Hestla and legendary blues guitarist Josh Smith.

The trio, which features Ray Geida on drums and John Delowery on bass, also recently won the Central Pennsylvania Music Association award for "Best Rock Band”.

Edge: "The new record is shaping up to be another mixed concoction of styles. Not a ‘true blues’ record, not just ‘throwback 70s,’ and certainly not all modern rock, but it's all going to be mixed in there. I've been getting back into the stuff my older sisters used to expose me to growing up - all the great 70s and early 80s stuff people forget like, Grand Funk, Rare Earth, Uriah Heep, April Wine, Aldo Nova, Johnny WInter, Free, T Rex, Humble Pie, James Gang etc., and it's coming out in the music. I've been on a soul kick lately too. It's going to be fun!"
