ROBIN MCAULEY's New Solo Album 'Soulbound' Out TODAY!

Today, ROBIN MCAULEY is proud to be releasing to the world his new solo album, 'Soulbound' via Frontiers Music Srl. The album sees MCAULEY's voice continuing to defy time, sounding as inspired and powerful as ever. Definitively more guitar-driven straight hard rock compared to his previous albums, 'Soulbound' is still wonderfully melodic, infectious, and fist-in-the-air uplifting.

MCAULEY comments on the album:

"'Soulbound' is a much edgier, harder guitar-driven record than my previous two for the label. In addition, I'm working with a new producer from the Frontiers label, Aldo Lonobile, who brought these songs to life with his Kick-Ass production."

'Soulbound' showcases the respected Irish rock singer's desire to make a strong musical statement in what is proving to be his most creative period.

To celebrate the release, MCAULEY is sharing a new track, "The Best Of Me" along with a new visualizer, available for viewing below.

About the single, ROBIN had this to say:

"The hunger lives inside of me, intent to eat me whole. But I am determined to be free of your negative comments, and when faced with the impossible, I will fly to greater heights. For in the depths of my darkest moments, I will find the light that shines the brightest, and You, yes You, Won’t Get The Best of Me!!!!!!"

After reemerging on the recording side of the music industry with guest spots on

Michael Schenker Fest albums and tours in addition to fronting the hard rock supergroup Black Swan, MCAULEY was (and still is) feeling invigorated and ready to explore even more creative output to let the world see that his voice is still as powerful as ever.

Work for 'Soulbound' began in early 2024, following an intense musical period in between tour dates and studio work. With a slightly different production approach compared to the previous album, ROBIN’s vocal performance here is simply outstanding. Truly an iconic voice of the genre, 'Soulbound' solidly delivers the more hard and heavy aspects of this respected artist.

ROBIN's backing band includes some of the previous artists who appeared with him on previous efforts, including guitarist Andrea Seveso, as well as some new talent such as guitarist Alessandro Mammola and drummer Alfonso Mocerino.

'Soulbound' is produced by Aldo Lonobile.

ABOUT THE PULSE OF MAGGOTS x SXSW SHOWCASE LINEUP:

THE CALLOUS DAOBOYS:
Earning comparative nods to mathcore lineage like Botch and Converge, the sextet package a cacophony of organized chaos in a performance on 2022's Celebrity Therapist  that is purely volatile.

CREEPING DEATH:
Practitioners of Texas heft, Creeping Death have taken up the torch for the modern era of death metal. The band's Edge of Existence EP was hailed for it classic and contemporary take on the genre such that their forthcoming 2023 release is among the most anticipated of the year.

ESCUELA GRIND:
The New England grindcore unit proved relentless on their 2022 full length, Memory Theater. Paying homage to their predecessors like Napalm Death, Brutal Truth, and early Carcass, the technical prowess in tandem with the sheer brutality of the band make them among extreme music’s most promising prospects.

MILITARIE GUN:
Dynamic songwriters well beyond their years, L.A.'s Militarie Gun have a knack for crafting tunes that stick. Their All Roads Lead to the Gun ushered in a new era of post-hardcore brilliance that leaned heavily on memorable hooks, punchy guitars and a '90s angst executed with grit and guts.

SOUL GLO:
The Philly hardcore standouts scored a massive win in 2022 with the release of their universally acclaimed, Diaspora Problems. Praised for their biting social commentary and frenzied execution, they are among the most exciting, emerging names in the landscape of contemporary hardcore.

VCTMS:
The Chicago aggressors and DIY riders spent most of 2022 touring in support of their Vol. IV: Numb the Ache LP. Ending the year with the reveal of the single, "The Dearly Beloved," the band's layered assault and musical bombast makes for an impressive show of force.
