Memphis May Fire Share "The Other Side" Video

MEMPHIS MAY FIRE — Matty Mullins (vocals), Kellen McGregor (guitar), Cory Elder (bass), and Jake Garland (drums) will release SHAPESHIFTER on March 28 via longtime label Rise Records. They have just shared the video for their latest barn burner "The Other Side."

"'The Other Side' is about resilience in the face of despair," shares Mullins. "It's for anyone who's ever felt trapped in their own pain, unsure if they'll ever break through. But there's always something beyond the darkness, another side to the pain, a breakthrough waiting to happen. This song is a reminder that even in our lowest moments, we're not alone, and the light is closer than we think."

MMF will embark on a headline tour for Spring 2025, with support from Caskets, Wind Walkers, and Elijah. The tour kicks off April 16 in Little Rock and runs through May 17 in Atlanta. It includes appearances at several key spring festivals, such as Sonic Temple and Welcome to Rockville. All dates are below. Get tickets here.

MEMPHIS MAY FIRE — Matty Mullins (vocals), Kellen McGregor (guitar), Cory Elder (bass), and Jake Garland (drums) — spent much of 2024 dropping brand new singles, each of which was more incendiary than the next. At the end of the year, they announced their new album SHAPESHIFTER, which arrives March 28 via longtime label Rise Records. Pre-order it here.

They have just shared the video for the new song "Overdose." It features a guest appliance from Blindside vocalist Christian Lindskog. Watch it below. 

"'Overdose' is about the intoxicating nature of extremes — how easy it is to get addicted to the highs of life, no matter the consequences," Mullins explains. "It's a song for anyone who's ever pushed boundaries too far, chased the rush, and grappled with the fallout. Christian Lindskog has always been a bucket list guest vocalist for me and it's an absolute honor to have his iconic style gracing this track."

"'Shapeshifter' reflects the struggle of wrestling with identities and the need to confront the masks we wear," says Mullins. "This track, and the entire album, is about exposing those parts of ourselves we often keep hidden. It's a journey through the layers of deception, self-reflection, and the struggle to find what's genuine in a world full of pretense. We wanted 'Shapeshifter' to embody that feeling of losing and finding yourself, over and over, until you finally see what's real."

ORANSSI PAZUZU - Release Video For New Single 'Valotus' From New Album "Muuntautuja"

Finnish Psychedelic Black Metal innovators ORANSSI PAZUZU are pleased to announce that their latest mutational meisterwerk, Muuntautuja (or Shapeshifter in English) is set to be released on October 11th, 2024 via Nuclear Blast Records. A boa constrictor of slithering, warping, interdimensional cosmic horror, the band's sixth full-length Muuntautuja is in a world of its own, seeping through the speakers like irradiated sand. Ever transmuting, unsettling chords that raise the hairs on the back of your head and then pummel it with nauseating rhythms that both transport and destroy you.

"Our experimentation with samplers and electronics made us step towards the weird concept of making nightmarish Rave music. We tried to find common ground between danceable rhythms and oppressive waves of noise and distortion."

Muuntautuja transcends genres, embodying a transcendent experience that slimes listeners in its nightmare of space and metamorphosis. Jun-His (vocals & guitars) muses, "For us, this album is like a sculpture made of black electric ooze."

Introducing TEMPLE OF SHADOWS, the new band featuring long time friends, Justin ‘JD’ deBlieck (Ex-Ice Nine Kills) and Joel DeMartino (Moonstriker). The band has released their new single "The Hermit" to all major platforms! The band premiered the official lyric video on Bravewords.com.

“Our vision for this project was to combine our collective love for various genres of music while incorporating a unique and thought provoking, but ultimately relatable concept. The result is a continuous forward moving energy that propels you from moment to moment throughout each characters stories" says Justin deBlieck.

Adds Joel DeMartino, "Temple of Shadows is more than a couple guys getting together to write songs. It’s a conceptual journey, where we explore the archetypes and their relationship to the alchemical process and it’s pursuit of the philosophers stone."

Temple Of Shadows is a brand new band fronted by long time friends, Justin ‘JD’ deBlieck (Ex-Ice Nine Kills) and Joel DeMartino (Moonstriker). Together they deliver dueling vocals, shrouded in cryptic lyrics over high energy progressive rock. Their music explores the parallels between the tarot and alchemical transmutation.
