Future Palace Announce New Album "Resurgence" + Share "Resurge" Video

Germany's FUTURE PALACE are thrilled to announce their forthcoming fourth album RESURGENCE. It arrives July 31 via Century Media. Pre-order it here

The album is a powerful exploration of isolation, inner conflict, and the struggle to rebuild oneself. Blending post-hardcore intensity with cinematic electronics, soaring melodies, and crushing breakdowns, the Berlin trio dives deep into themes of depression, doubt, and emotional transformation.

Ultimately, Resurgence captures the fragile moment where despair slowly turns into strength — and is proof of the redemptive power of music.

Alongside the album announcement, the band invites fans and listeners to dive deep into their world with the video for the new single "RESURGE." Watch it Below.

The track finds the band playing with nu metal textures and buzzsaw riffs, retaining their ear worm hooks and signature sonic swells.
Vocalist Maria Lessing displays her multi-layered vocals talents, effortlessly shifting from scaled-the-bowels-of-hell screams to stunningly sweet melodic bursts.

"Musically, 'Resurge' felt very nu metal right from the start when writing it," says guitarist Manuel Kohlert." So you can call it another experiment since we didn't do that kind of music yet. Sidenote: When writing the instrumental I had a Japanese video game in mind, which I really liked as a kid, the soundtrack was also phenomenal. It is called 'Solatorobo.'"

Lessing weighs in, saying, "This song is about doubting everything and every decision you’ve made so far in your life. Thinking about what it would be like if you would completely restart and be a totally different person — but also sacrifice everything and everyone you have in your life currently. It’s supposed to convey deep despair and self-doubt. What would life be like, if you were reborn today?"

She furthers, "It also picks up the music video story from our previous release 'Deep Blue.' At the end of the video, the crew of the submarine gets lost in the ocean, after the submarine sank. Their old friend, the siren, which attacked them because of a misunderstanding, welcomes them again in a new world, but the submarine crew has to sacrifice their human form to survive and become a new creature."

Lessing finishes, "Musically, this song a strong nu metal energy, which has a nostalgic, but also modern feeling to it. It's supposed to catch you but also portray the despair of the message, which I find the chorus represents best."

Future Palace will spend the bulk of 2026 touring, with festival appearances and a fall tour on deck. All dates are below, including a return to the U.S. to appear at the Louder Than Life Festival in Louisville in September.

MASSACRE RELEASES VILE, UNCENSORED VIDEO FOR"RETURN OF THE CORPSE GRINDER"

2021 marks a monumental year for death metal with the long-awaited return of influential Floridian juggernauts, MASSACRE! Today, the band has unleashed their highly anticipated album, "Resurgence," with Nuclear Blast. Their 4th album, in a career spanning nearly 4 decades, is classic, unadulterated death metal in its purest form.

In conjunction with today's record release the band has unveiled what is likely one of the most horrifying and appalling music videos ever made for their latest single "Return of the Corpse Grinder." Watch the repugnant uncensored video (banned from YouTube), or the censored version below ,for those with weak stomachs! *TRIGGER WARNING: Brutal violation of corpse and necrophilia of charred human remains

Commenting on the release of "Resurgence" and gruesome new single "Return of the Corpse Grinder," vocalist Kam Lee states:

"Well for starters… we made a video for RETURN OF THE CORPSE GRINDER… but it is so disgusting and foul it may be BANNED! How fucking awesome is that?!! Total Jorg Buttgereit (NEKROMANTIK films) worship! Disgusting necrophilia and Ed Gein worship – the ONLY way to do the song justice. Anything less would have been a disservice and just wimpy!! But it’s most likely too extreme for most viewers… I feel so accomplished!!

I hope fans do get to check it out… it’s a total complete tribute to the Nekromantik films and to Ed Gein being the influence to the original songs lyrics to begin with. And the songs music is just a perfect continuation in style and form – it really brings the Corpse Grinder saga full circle. Coming out of the gate with RESURGENCE and being told that video we did for the 2nd part to the Corpse Grinder may be too extreme to air is fucking brilliant!!

I am proud of the work we did on the album, the songs and material really are the essence of O.S.D.M. style and sound, and I feel this was the best team I could gather together to make this album what it is! I realize lightening couldn’t strike twice… “From Beyond” was lightening in a bottle… and it’s not going to be beat, but I did my best to bring the proper team together to make a follow up – 30 years late – that is and proves to be the proper and correct continuation of the band MASSACRE the way it was always meant to be!"

MASSACRE rose from the swamps of Southern Florida in the early 80's during a heatwave of groundbreaking death metal that produced some of the genre's most revered forefathers, DEATH, OBITUARY and SIX FEET UNDER. Their legacy was founded with a string of classic demos, "Aggressive Tyrant" (1986), "Chamber of Ages" (1986) and "The Second Coming" (1990), before unleashing their critically praised classic debut album "From Beyond" (1991). Now decades later, the band makes their long-awaited return, invigorated with the same youthful rage that brought them together at inception. For "Resurgence," long-time members, vocalist Kam Lee (MANTAS, BONE GNAWER, THE GROTESQUERY) and bassist Mike Borders, were joined in the studio by some of death's most prolific and malignant songwriters, guitarist Rogga Johansson(PAGANIZER, MEGASCAVENGER, RIB SPREADER), guitarist Jonny Pettersson (WOMBBATH, NATTRAVNEN, HENRY KANE), guitarist Scott Fairfax (MEMORIAM, AS THE WORLD DIES) and drummer Brynjar Helgetun (CRYPTICUS, THE GROTESQUERY) with additional guest performances by Marc Grewe (INSIDIOUS DISEASE), Dave Ingram (BENEDICTION), Anders Odden (CADAVER), and Pete Slate (DRUID LORD) The record was recorded with producer and death metal icon Dan Swanö (ex-Edge of Sanity, ex-Bloodbath) and Pettersson as engineer/mixer.

MASSACRE REVEALS NEW SINGLE "RUINS OF R'LYEAH"

DEATH METAL PIONEERS' 4TH ALBUM, "RESURGENCE," OUT OCT 22ND

Floridia's masters of death metal, MASSACRE, have released searing new single, "Ruins of R'lyeh," from their highly anticipated 4th full-length album, "Resurgence," that's out October 22nd from Nuclear Blast.

Commenting on the upcoming album and new single, vocalist Kam Lee states:

"I’m going to take you back down into the abyss! This track, 'Ruins of R’lyeh,' like many of the other’s on the 'Resurgence' album are direct sequels to tracks off 'From Beyond.' With a purposeful musical connection to the track 'Cryptic Realms,' this new song of O.S.D.M. takes the listener back down into the depths of the darkness with a very heavy laden Lovecraftian lyrical direction loosely based on 'The Call Of Cthulhu.' Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn ('In his house at R'lyeh, dead Cthulhu waits dreaming.')"
