Eric Church Brings 'Evangeline vs. The Machine' to Red Rocks for Three Unique Shows This July

With his new album Evangeline vs. The Machine arriving May 2, Stereogum’s “greatest working rock star” Eric Church returns to the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre for a special three-night run of distinct performances July 14-16, curating a unique, immersive experience for each show:

July 14: Eric Church vs. The Machine – a full-scale production featuring his band joined by a dynamic ensemble of strings, horns and choir combining to deliver an epic, must-see set.

July 15: Eric Church vs. The ECB – a raw, high-energy set with his original band, including longtime collaborator Joanna Cotten.

July 16: Eric Church vs. The Guitar – a stripped-down, intimate evening with Church alone on stage, delivering an acoustic performance like only he can.

Church’s history at Red Rocks is one of legend. He made his debut in August 2007 and his August 2016 performance at the venue was captured for a PBS special, highlighted by his hauntingly beautiful cover of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah.” A roughly once-a-decade experience, this return to Red Rocks marks his first performance at the venue since that show.

Tickets for this special three-night event will be available to Church Choir members on Monday, April 7, before opening to the general public on Friday, April 11. Become a Church Choir member here. Supporting Church across all three nights is Stephen Wilson Jr. and a limited number of three-day tickets are available for fans eager to see the full trio of shows.

With these one-off shows on the horizon to celebrate new album Evangeline vs. The Machine, lead single “Hands Of Time” is already impressing, having set a new personal record en route to becoming most added at Country radio last week with 135 first-week stations and earning immediate praise from fans and critics alike. Stereogum lauded the “juicy, fired-up Southern rocker about living in a world that increasingly makes no sense to you;” Rolling Stone celebrated the “nostalgic jukebox, full of allusions to songs and artists that were essential to Church’s career: Bob Seger and ‘Hollywood Nights,’ Tom Petty and ‘Even the Losers,’ AC/DC’s ‘Back in Black,’ and Willie and Waylon’s ‘Luckenbach, Texas,’ among them;” and Billboard honored the way “the song builds into a punchy, rock-fueled anthem as Church sings of turning to simple pleasures – particularly music – to fend off the impact of the passing decades.”

Among the other songs featured on the forthcoming Jay Joyce-produced album is “Darkest Hour,” released ahead of the project to support relief efforts following the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene in September 2024, with all of Church’s publishing royalties donated to provide ongoing funds in support of a more resilient future for his home state of North Carolina. “That song had the chance to change things—it already has,” Church reflects. “The greatest concert I’ve ever played was the Concert for Carolina – that’s the greatest thing I’ve been involved with. This song played a big part of that night and is a rallying cry for the people there that still need a lot of help. As a person who writes and performs a song, seeing it truly impact people’s lives is the greatest thing you can hope to accomplish.”

Also included is “Johnny,” a soul-stirring reinterpretation inspired by “The Devil Went Down to Georgia” and the Covenant School tragedy, which Church has previewed in limited settings at both his Chief's To Beat The Devil residency and the recent Country Radio Seminar, leaving audiences in awe. “About a year ago, we had a shooting here in Nashville at the Covenant School,” he explained when introducing the song during CRS. “Where my kids go to school, my two boys, is about a mile from that school. I will tell you something, the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life – parent or otherwise – is dropping them off at that school the day after the shooting and watching them walk inside. I sat in the parking lot for a long time, and as fate would have it, as I was pulling out, Charlie Daniels was playing, ‘The Devil Went Down to Georgia.’ I remember thinking, man, we could use Johnny right now, because the Devil’s not in Georgia, he’s everywhere. I went home and wrote ‘Johnny’.”

Ian Munsick Celebrates Red Rocks Debut w/ Friends & Family + Surprise Crow Tribe Adoption

Wyoming native Ian Munsick returned to the Rocky Mountain region Wednesday, June 5 for his sold-out headlining debut at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado alongside friends and family. After stampeding through his 24 song set filled with surprise moments, Munsick’s family expanded by the end of the night when The Crow Tribe joined him on-stage, officially adopting him as part of their tribe.

“Red Rocks was the greatest night of my musical life,” muses Munsick. “The songs I create are inspired by the magic that surrounds that venue. Getting to experience that unity in real time with 10,000 people who were elevating that energy is now a core memory. This Rocky Mountain boy was in heaven for 90 minutes…so surreal and even spiritual. I can honestly say that playing Red Rocks has changed my life.”

As his signature cattle call echoed through the venue’s famed monoliths signaling show time, Munsick fittingly kickstarted the evening with an upbeat, fiddle-laden performance of “Mountain Time” off his debut album Coyote Cry.

Throughout the night, Munsick interweaved songs old and new into his set, tributing his roots with “Me Against The Mountain,” while also showcasing his growth since moving to Nashville ten years ago, with recent releases “Heartbreak King” and “Leather” – the latter of which served as the title track on Cody Johnson’s ACM nominated Album of the Year. Sprinkled into the set were surprise guest moments as fellow Wyoming native Ryan Charles joined Munsick for their viral hit “Cowboy Killer.”

Toward the end of the night, prior to performing his wistful ode to the American West, “Indian Paintbrush,” Munsick was joined on-stage by JoRee LaFrance, a member of the Crow Tribe who has a long history with the Munsick family. A former student of Ian’s father, Dave Munsick, LaFrance grew up around the Munsicks and heavily influenced Munsick’s musical journey. Due to this close tie, along with Munsick’s dedication to authentically representing the west, LaFrance surprised him on-stage by officially adopting him into the Apsáalooke/Crow Tribe.

“As Apsáalooke/Crow people, we heavily rely on our clan system, Ashaammalíaxxia/Where the Driftwood Lodges. We are a matrilineal society with currently six clans with Úuwaataasshe/Greasy Mouth being one of them,” explains LaFrance. “I am Greasy Mouth and I am a child of the Ties the Bundle clan. Greasy Mouths are known to be good hunters, their power comes from the sun, and are the same clan as Iichiikbaaliia/First Maker. I adopted Ian into my family and clan because of our longtime friendship with the Munsick family and the fact he comes from Crow Country.

“They have always shown nothing but love and respect to my twin sister and I. We have always been family. I gave Ian four gifts to welcome him into our tribe. As Apsáalooke, we take adoption very seriously; being adopted means that you are valued and truly a part of our family and community,” she adds. “Our people are his people now and nobody can question that. Crow Country loves Ian and we want him to know that we will always welcome him home.”

Concluding the evening with the band that inspired his career, Munsick was joined by The Munsick Boys comprised of his father, Dave, and brothers, Tris and Sam, for a performance of one of his first recordings, a cover of Wade Montgomery's “Weakness.”

Munsick’s Red Rocks debut precedes his upcoming Fall Country & WESTern Tour presented by Boot Barnwhich will deliver the man celebrated by HITS Daily Double and The New Yorker alike for putting the “western back in country” back to his roots with nine shows throughout the west. Munsick is currently headlining his Boots, Buckles & Bolos Tour, and can be seen on select dates of Lainey Wilson’s Country’s Cool Again Tour this summer.

About Ian Munsick:
A native son of Wyoming, Ian Munsick painted a stampeding, spirited portrait of the American West with his sophomore album White Buffalo, out now. Spanning unfiltered tales of romance and ranch life, hard-working anthems with honkytonk hooks and mountain-time odes to family and forever-young fun, it builds upon the spacious roots-pop beauty he introduced on his major label debut, Coyote Cry. Now, Munsick is preparing to release a deluxe version of the album, including five new tracks, titled White Buffalo: Introduce You To God on April 5, 2024. Over the past four years, Munsick has accumulated nearly half a BILLION global streams and a host of accolades. He has been named an “Artist to Watch” by Spotify, CMT, Fender, MusicRow and most recently was named a Martin Showcase Artist. A seasoned entertainer, having grown up tending cattle by day and playing music in a family band each night, Munsick toured recently alongside country music superstars Morgan Wallen and Cody Johnson, and will serve as direct support for select dates of Lainey Wilson’s Country’s Cool Again tour this year, while simultaneously headlining his own Boots, Buckles & Bolos Tour. The Warner Music Nashville recording artist and multi-instrumentalist is representing his home, and its special cast of people, like never before. The first release from White Buffalo, standout duet “Long Live Cowgirls” (with Cody Johnson), hit No. 1 on SiriusXM’s The Highway Hot 30 Countdown, was named one of Amazon Music’s Best Country Songs of 2022 and recently received RIAA Gold-certification alongside “Long Haul” off his debut album Coyote Cry. Fans of Ian Munsick will always find an open heart, natural awe and plainspoken honesty as he rides on… bringing the West to the rest. Online at IanMunsick.com.

The Nordic collective had a lot to celebrate in 2023. Maria Franz, Chritsopher Juul, Kai Uwe Faust and their band of warriors continued to tour in support of their latest album Drif, which
Metal Hammer called "a carefully woven tapestry of ideas" and "a natural evolutionary step for a band who understand the unique power of story and song".

They performed their spellbinding ritual at European summer festivals before heading across the Atlantic for a successful U.S. tour.

"Absolutely bewitching",
Sonic Perspectives said about Heilung's performance in Austin, Texas. "...a deeply transformative spiritual experience".

"Utterly unique" -
The Arts STL

"Truly one-of-a-kind...a beautiful display of artistic expression" -
Melodic Mag

"In a world where bands get compartmentalized into easily-digestable categories, Heilung goes against the grain" -
Creative Loafing.

Last week, people around the globe watched Heilung perform at The Game Awards.

The Nordic collective premiered "Seidh" in front of a star-studded audience at The Peacock Theater in downtown Los Angeles on Thursday, December 7. This song will appear on the soundtrack for Senua's Saga: Hellblade II, which is scheduled for release in 2024. Heilung wrote the full soundtrack for the game in collaboration with Ninja Theory.

Since its inception in 2015, the enigmatic ritual collective Heilung has been paving melodic paths to the past with their unique and mystifying sound. Evading all conventional genre tags and the confines of any specific labels, the group aptly self-describes their sound as “amplified history,” emphasizing their ability to connect modern society with the rudiments of humanity’s beginnings through music. Heilung once again journeys back in time with its new chapter, ‘Drif;’ however, unlike previous offerings that centered around prehistoric northern Europe, album number three will explore other great rudimentary civilizations outside of Europe.

“All the songs on ‘Drif’ have their own stories,” adds Heilung throat singer and one of the band’s three composers, Kai Uwe Faust. Each has its place and sense of belonging, with inspiration not only from Northern Europe, but from the ancient great civilizations,” explains the band. “We took the ancient surrounding advanced civilizations in account, because our ancestral Nordic civilizations did not just pop up, exist and disappear in isolation. Already in the Bronze Age, we found silk on German land that was imported already from the far, far East 3000 years ago. From the Viking age, we found beads that were brought there from present-day Syria high up in the Northern mountains.

“Centrally important concepts, still in extensive use today, like the number Zero and all the mathematical universes deriving from it, the use of iron and the general concept of settling all originate from traditional high civilizations outside the north and still fundamentally changing our ancestor’s world.

“With singing these primordial songs we want to give tribute to these cultures, reconnect to the beginnings and remember that we all, from East to West, from past to present, are connected through the exchange of ideas and inspiring each other.”

Meaning “gathering,” ‘Drif’ serves as more than merely a gateway that bridges history with modern day society, but is also a statement of the strength in unity and togetherness, which will come as no surprise to those who have experienced Heilung’s live ritual, in which every ceremony starts with a reminder that “we are all brothers.” “‘Drif’ means ‘gathering,’’ explains Heilung. “A throng of people, a horde, a crowd, a pack. In symbiosis with the album title, ‘Drif’ consists of a flock, a collection, a gathering, a collage of songs, that much like little flames were seeking towards each other, to join, to bond, to create, and be greater together.”

While Heilung features authentic and archaic instrumentation that ranges from rattles and ritual bells to human bones and throat singing, their captivating brand of music is far from primitive. Producer and founding member Christopher Juul implements subtle electronic elements that elevates the musical atmosphere and provides a more in-depth and layered soundscape.

“This album has very clearly dictated its own path. Our attempts to tame it were repeatedly fruitless, and once we came to this realization, the creative flow surged forward with immense force. So much so that sometimes it felt like the songs wrote themselves,” the band adds.

Heilung’s success has been unprecedented, achieving milestones in its few short years of existence that many do not see in a lifetime. The collective already had rapidly been growing a buzz upon the self-release of their first full-length, ‘Ofnir,’ in 2015, but their dizzying upward trajectory really took off from the moment they set foot on the stage at Castlefest in 2017 for the now-legendary debut of their live ritual. Luckily for those who were not fortunate enough to bare witness to this magical event, the full ceremony was captured on film, having since been viewed by tens of millions of fans across the globe.

As Heilung trekked across Europe and brought their mystifying experience to new audiences, talk of this new band and their stunning ceremony made way to Season of Mist label owner Michael Berberian, who quickly offered the band a record contract after seeing their undeniable musical impact for himself.

By 2019, Heilung launched their second full-length record, ‘Futha,’ which contrasted the masculine and battle-heavy themes of their debut with a feminine counterpart that celebrated fertility and female energy. Upon the first week of the record’s release, it graced the Billboard charts with coveted numbers, debuting at #3 on the Heatseekers Charts and #4 on the Billboard World Music Chart, placing on a total of seven Billboard charts while meeting critical-acclaim from the press on a global scale.

Having already made its way around Europe, Heilung announced its first ever North American tour for the start of 2020, which sold out entirely within 72 hours of ticket on-sale. The band later returned to the United States and performed their live ritual for a sold out audience of 10,000 people at the historic Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO (USA), further solidifying their early legacy status.

By this time, the band’s music started to appear in places outside the confines of music venues, videos, and vinyl. From hit television series like ‘Game of Thrones’ and ‘Vikings’ to video game giants like ‘Conqueror’s Blade VII: “Wolves of Ragnarök’ and ‘Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II’ to the blockbuster Robert Eggers film ‘The Northman,’ Heilung’s music has risen far above the underground and has transcended into a greater world. Even a global pandemic couldn’t slow down Heilung’s success; it only strengthened them and gave them the gift of time to complete work on album number three, ‘Drif.’

According to Greek philosopher Pythagoras, three is a divine number, signifying harmony, wisdom, and understanding. He also believed it to be the number of time – past, present, future; birth, life, death; beginning, middle, end. Purposefully or not, ‘Drif’ embodies this philosophy, putting forth a divine work of art that ties together the beginning of civilization with the modern world today. Make no mistake, Heilung still does not represent any modern political or religious ideology, but rather delivers a humbling reminder of where we came from. “Remember, we are all brothers. All people, beasts, tree and stone and wind, we all descend from the one great being that was always there, before people lived and named it, before the first seed sprouted.”

The artist also enjoyed a completely sold-out North American tour this past fall.

Last week, the band announced a special performance at the iconic Radio City Music Hall in NYC, set for May 22. The show sold out in 10 minutes.

A completely sold-out show at the famed OVO Wembley Arena is set for December 16.

Additionally, Revolver is celebrating Sleep Token as its Artist of the Year with a special collector's edition. Get it
here.

2023 has been the year of Sleep Token.

Available album tracks, "Chokehold," "The Summoning," "Aqua Regia," "Granite," and "Vore" have collectively amassed over 85 million streams, whilst standout single "The Summoning" has generated some 38.8 million streams alone, causing the track to trend on Twitter and take the #1 song spot on a host of international Spotify viral charts, as well as being selected as a "YouTube Trending Artist On The Rise," featuring on YouTube's homepage, viewed by millions of people every day.

The unprecedented accolades keep rolling in, between the fact that ST has never played a headline show in the UK that didn't sell out, "Aqua Regia" picking up consistent airplay on the Radio One "Future Sounds" show hosted by Clara Amfo, plus huge pop star Demi Lovato sharing Sleep Token's music with her 153 million Instagram followers, Sleep Token consistently smash boundaries that they refused to acknowledge in the first place.

And even though Sleep Token notoriously do not speak to the press (out of necessity, not ego or gimmick), media can't help but write about the phenomenon, reporting on the band's every move; NME note, "Sleep Token offer their fans an entire world to immerse themselves in if they so wish. It's a place of escapism, and the foundation of a huge fan community that's dedicated to studying the band's creativity. While they have the same fervor as any other fandom, there's still a notable difference." Elsewhere, Metal Hammer called them "the most exciting band in metal right now."

Wyoming native Ian Munsick’s passion for country and western music was nurtured in the shadows of the Rocky Mountains, where he learned how to play multiple instruments as a child while singing alongside his brothers and father. Turning a family affair into mainstream success, Munsick’s sky high voice and sawing fiddle have carried him everywhere from the theaters of Los Angeles, to the eastern shores of Boston and the arenas of Montana. Now Munsick is returning to the Rocky Mountain region, setting his first-ever headlining show at Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre on June 5, 2024.

GRAMMY nominated duo The War And Treaty and fellow Wyoming artist Chancey Williams will join as support. Pre-sale tickets are available now to members of “The Heard,” with general on-sale tickets available for purchase beginning this Friday, Nov. 17 at 10 A.M. MT. For more information and to sign up for The Heard fan club, visit
www.IanMunsick.com.

“If I could choose one venue to perform my music in, it would be Red Rocks,” shares Munsick. “An amphitheater carved in Rocky Mountain rock, surrounded by what influences my creativity the most. It feels like my whole life has been leading up to this moment. I hope you get to join us June 5th, 2024 for what will be the greatest show of my career… this one’s for the west!”

Munsick released his full-length sophomore album White Buffalo earlier this year, earning accolades from Billboard, American Songwriter, People, MusicRow and more. White Buffalo will receive a special documentary treatment this December, with a red carpet premiere of White Buffalo: Voices of the West during the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas. The documentary expands on the album’s concept, with the white buffalo representing a sacred symbol for the plains tribes of Native America, its return signaling prosperity and rebirth.

Featured in the documentary are Pro Buckin’ Horse producer and entrepreneur from the Blackfoot Tribe, Dougie Hall; rancher, horse trainer and actor from the Crow Tribe, Stephen Yellowtail; and cowgirl from the Blackfeet Nation, Sammy Jo Bird; as together with Munsick they explore the modern-day relationship between cowboys, ranchers and Native American tribes, and how they often rely on each other to live off the land out west.

Munsick’s solo version of “Long Live Cowgirls,” the album’s flagship single which received RIAA Gold-certification and reeled in over 115 million streams, is now playing on country radio. His headlining The Buffalo Roams Tour is currently underway, featuring a rotating lineup of special guests including Randall King, Triston Marez, Catie Offerman, Jake Worthington and Chancey Williams. The 18-track album spans unfiltered tales of romance and ranch life, hard-working anthems with honkytonk hooks and mountain-time odes to family and forever-young fun. It builds upon the spacious roots-pop beauty he introduced on his major label debut, Coyote Cry. Over the past three years, the 30-year-old has accumulated nearly half a BILLION global streams and a host of accolades. He has been named an “Artist to Watch” by Spotify, CMT, Fender, MusicRow and more. A seasoned entertainer, having grown up tending cattle by day and playing music in a family band each night, Munsick toured recently alongside country music superstars Morgan Wallen and Cody Johnson, and will serve as direct support for select dates of Lainey Wilson’s Country’s Cool Again tour in 2024. Beyond his noteworthy professional accomplishments, he has also become both a husband and a father. Now the Warner Music Nashville recording artist and multi-instrumentalist is representing his home, and its special cast of people, like never before. The first release from White Buffalo, standout duet “Long Live Cowgirls” (with Cody Johnson), hit No. 1 on SiriusXM’s The Highway Hot 30 Countdown, was named one of Amazon Music’s Best Country Songs of 2022 and recently received RIAA Gold-certification alongside “Long Haul” off his debut album Coyote Cry; while Munsick’s solo version of “Long Live Cowgirls” impacted country radio on Oct. 23. Fans of Ian Munsick will always find an open heart, natural awe and plainspoken honesty as he rides on… bringing the West to the rest.

Cited by Guitar World as “arguably the world’s biggest blues guitarist,” Bonamassa is known for taking risks and venturing into uncharted territory throughout his wide-ranging career. His most recent full-length ‘Time Clocks’ marked his most raw, rocking studio album yet, with American Songwriter sharing, “Bonamassa pushes into fresh territory while staying within a blues-based framework,” and “there is more than enough proof in this sprawling set that Bonamassa doesn’t intend to rest on his laurels or take his star status in the blues-rock genre for granted.”

Bonamassa and his long-time manager Roy Weisman also recently announced Journeyman LLC, a full-service artist management, record label, concert promotion, and marketing company that builds awareness for independent artists worldwide. Journeyman provides the infrastructure needed to jumpstart the careers of exceptional independent artists, who are too often overlooked by the major labels or concert promoters while circumventing the resistance of typical “gatekeepers” who don’t support indie acts. “I wanted to take what I've had to learn the hard way to create a company that could make navigating this process a little easier,” Bonamassa explains.

About Joe Bonamassa
Blues-rock superstar Joe Bonamassa is one of the most celebrated performing musicians today. A three-time GRAMMY-nominee, Bonamassa earned his 25th No. 1 on the Billboard Blues Album Chart, with his latest studio album ‘Time Clocks.

Bonamassa earned his third GRAMMY nomination with 2020’s ‘Royal Tea,’ recorded at the legendary Abbey Road Studios. The album brought Bonamassa full circle: reconnecting the guitar-slinging kid who stumbled across the best of British-blues in his dad’s vinyl collection to the player he is today. That same year, Bonamassa delivered a groundbreaking live performance from the legendary Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, where he played ‘Royal Tea’ in its entirety to over tens of thousands of people across the globe via livestream, recording the full set for the live concert film and album ‘Now Serving: Royal Tea Live From The Ryman,’ released in 2021.

Bonamassa also runs Keeping the Blues Alive Foundation, a non-profit that promotes music education and blues music by funding scholarships and providing music education resources to schools in need. To date, the foundation has provided schools and teachers with over $1 Million and has positively impacted 90,000 students in all 50 states.

Created by Bonamassa and Roy Weisman, Keeping The Blues Alive Records (KTBA Records) has released albums for many artists, including musical icon Dion’s ‘Blues With Friends,’ Chicago Queen of Guitar Joanna Connor’s ‘4801 South Indiana Avenue’ and British Blues-Rock star Joanne Shaw Taylor’s ‘Blues From The Hear Live,’ all of which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Blues Charts, while Blues-legend Larry McCray’s ‘Blues Without You’ debuted at No. 2. Bonamassa plans to produce and release more artists on KTBA Records this year.

Journeyman LLC, the newest endeavor between Bonamassa and his long-time manager Roy Weisman, is a vertically integrated music management, concert promotion, and marketing company that builds awareness for great live artists worldwide. After years of perfecting strategies, while building Joe Bonamassa’s career, the company will utilize the same savvy tactics which allowed them to overcome industry barriers that typically held back artists from achieving success. Bonamassa has been keen on using his experience to pay it forward to help other artists navigate the murky industry waters. Consequently, Journeyman sets itself apart in this way as being the true market maker for its artists.

Following a 2022 Red Rocks Amphitheatre debut that sold out in a single day, genre-bending renegades Whiskey Myers return to the iconic open-air setting for two nights this summer, headlining June 14 with support by Whitey Morgan and Ray Wylie Hubbard and June 15 with support by The Record Company and Brent Cobb.

Presales begin tomorrow, Feb. 14, at 10 a.m. local time, with tickets on sale to the general public this Friday, Feb. 17, at 10 a.m. local time via WhiskeyMyers.com.

“An outlier of alt-country with more thrust, Southern cousin of the Black Keys or spiritual grandchild of Waylon and Willie’s Outlaw Country, Whiskey Myers is currently taking a regional movement global,” declared POLLSTAR in the cover story celebrating the band’s initial outing at the historic venue, adding “Whiskey Myers offers sobering pieces of broken lives that go unseen.”

“Red Rocks had always been a bucket-list venue for us, to the point where we didn’t even go see a show there as fans, because we wanted our first time seeing it to be from the stage as headliners,” reflects guitarist John Jeffers. “For our fans to share that excitement with us the way they did was a magical experience and we can’t wait to do it again – twice – this summer.”

Today’s announcement builds upon the anticipation for Whiskey Myers’ headlining 2023 tour, kicking off this Thursday, Feb. 16, with many dates already sold out. The tour comes on the heels of the band’s 2022 Tornillo Tour which played to nearly 300,000 fans in support of their critically acclaimed album Tornillo, praised by American Songwriter for putting Whiskey Myers “in a league of their own with their signature hard-rocking sound on full display” and released in 2022 via the band’s own Wiggy Thump Records with distribution by Thirty Tigers.

Fans will also have a chance to see this signature sound live when the band supports Eric Church on multiple dates of The Outsiders Revival Tour this fall, with Nashville Lifestyles adding, “Southern rock is alive and well on Whiskey Myers’ Tornillo – and it comes with a brassy border-town swagger… Equal parts train songs, tenacious energy, and Tabasco… their lawless musicality burns like the sun.”

About Whiskey Myers
Genre-bending band Whiskey Myers have played more than 2,500 live shows to ever-increasing crowd sizes since their emergence in 2007. In addition to headlining their own sold-out shows from coast to coast at iconic venues such as Red Rocks Amphitheater and Ryman Auditorium, plus performing at marquee festivals Bonnaroo, Stagecoach, Download and more, the six-piece was also personally selected to open The Rolling Stones’ Chicago stadium show in 2019. Their latest self-produced album, Tornillo, available everywhere now via the band’s own Wiggy Thump Records, features the No. 17 most-played Americana song of 2022, “John Wayne,” and follows their fifth studio album, Whiskey Myers, which debuted at No. 1 on both the Country and Americana/Folk sales charts, at No. 2 on the Rock chart and No. 6 on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart (No. 3 among new releases). In total, Whiskey Myers have sold more than 1.5 million albums and amassed over 2 billion streams while earning six RIAA Gold & Platinum certifications as an independent band. Known for their high-energy live show and unique sound, the band praised by Esquire as “the real damn deal” has also earned synch success with features (and an on-screen appearance) in Paramount’s hit show “Yellowstone” as well as Netflix series “What/If,” Angelina Jolie film “Those Who Wish Me Dead” and CBS series “SEAL Team.” USA Todaydescribes their sound as “a riff-heavy blend of Southern rock and gritty country that has earned comparisons to the Allman Brothers Band and Led Zeppelin,” with Rolling Stone noting “it’s the seminal combination of twang and crunchy rock & roll guitars that hits a perfect sweet spot.”

Whiskey Myers Bring Rock & Roll to Sold Out Red Rocks; Earn Four New RIAA Gold & Platinum Certifications

With Cowboys & Indians celebrating Whiskey Myers as “on a course toward massive success,” the band continued to prove just how true that is last night, June 6, at their sold-out Red Rocks Amphitheatre debut. Thrilling the audience of 9,525 with 19 hard-rocking, genre-bending songs across more than two hours of nonstop music, the six-piece was also surprised backstage pre-show with plaques celebrating four brand-new RIAA certifications. “Stone,” “Ballad of a Southern Man” and “Broken Window Serenade” earned Platinum distinction while “Virginia” was certified Gold.

Strutting on stage backed by a live horns section, the band kicked off the show with a rousing live rendition of current single “John Wayne,” praised by Billboard as “nearly five minutes of righteous Southern rock, which arrives via a swampy mesh of soul and funk,” continuing, “Cody Cannon’s raspy growl leads a flurry of sizzling guitar, thumping bass, swirling harmonica and flashes of horns, as this group continues pushing its boundaries.”

The energy continued to rise from there with two tracks off their 2019 chart-topping album, WHISKEY MYERS; Top 20 fire-burner “Gasoline” and the reflective “Bury My Bones,” before bringing the crowd’s cheers to a new high with the fuzzed-out groove of their hit “Frogman,” a tribute to America’s Navy Seals that saw Cannon summoning even more energy from the crowd with his hands in the air.

The newly certified “Broken Window Serenade” offered one of many crowd singalong moments of the night during a section of ever-popular songs from prior albums Firewater and Mud, as the volume was turned up once again during “Bar, Guitar and a Honky Tonk Crowd” and “Deep Down in the South” with the chorus of claps during recent single “Die Rockin’” reverberating off the iconic rock faces.

The set slowed down temporarily during the now Gold-certified ballad “Virginia,” which saw percussionist Tony Kent transition to the keys partway through the song as Cannon asked for the house lights up to see the still-standing crowd. Tucked among “Glitter Ain’t Gold,” “Early Morning Shakes” (which included one of the night’s many extended jam sessions) and “How Far” (punctuated by a rousing horns solo) was a sneak peek at yet-to-be released track “The Wolf” off the band’s sixth studio album, Tornillo, set for release July 29 via their own Wiggy Thump records with distribution by Thirty Tigers.

As the band left the stage to close out the main set the crowd never left their feet, reaching a fever pitch as Cannon returned solo. “Thank y’all so much for being here tonight, it means the world,” he remarked. “We’ve never played a place this nice before, so we had to go to the Goodwill to get us some suits and class it up a bit,” he joked of the all-white custom suits the band donned for the occasion before treating the loyal fans who sold the venue clean the day the long-awaited show went on sale to an acoustic version of “Reckoning.”

“It’s comin’!” he laughed as the still at-capacity crowd then began chanting the opening lines of “Ballad of a Southern Man” as if on cue. The full band rejoined him on stage to fulfill the fans’ request, launching into a five-song stretch to close out the memorable night. Lighters filled the Colorado night sky as percussionist and keys player Tony Kent tapped out the opening chords of “Stone” before breaking out his famed cowbell high kick during beloved classic “Home.” Lead guitarist John Jeffers then took the lead on fan favorite “Bitch” before openers Read Southall Band and Shane Smith & The Saints joined the onstage party – along with the band’s family members – for the ultimate finale with a rock ‘n’ roll revival cover of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers’ “Refugee.”

As the band takes the show to the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival next weekend, June 17, while continuing to fill venues 10,000+ strong on their cross-country Tornillo Tour, the sold-out Red Rocks debut served to prove what Classic Rock Magazine proclaims of Whiskey Myers: “Authenticity: you can’t buy it, you can’t bluff it. And you can’t beat it when it comes to delivering dirty, down-home, electric guitar music from the American south.”

USA Today describes the band led by frontman Cody Cannon as “a riff-heavy blend of Southern rock and gritty country that has earned comparisons to the Allman Brothers Band and Led Zeppelin,” with Rolling Stone noting “it’s the seminal combination of twang and crunchy rock & roll guitars that hits a perfect sweet spot.” The band known for their high-energy live show and unique sound has also earned sync success with features (and an on-screen appearance) in Paramount Network’s hit show “Yellowstone” as well as the Renée Zellweger-led Netflix series “What/If,” the Angelina Jolie film “Those Who Wish Me Dead” and hit CBS series “SEAL Team.”

HEILUNG Sells Out Red Rocks, Reschedules EU/UK Tour

Enigmatic world music collective HEILUNG brought their ritual to a sold out audience of 10,000 at the historic Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Denver, CO on October 5! Coming off the heels of this monumental event, the band is announcing their rescheduled tour dates for Europe and the UK, which will take place in 2022 and 2023. The correct and re-scheduled dates can be found below. Ticket sales are now live HERE and are expected to run low very fast. We therefore recommend purchasing them ASAP!

HEILUNG will be supporting their 2019 release, 'Futha,' which debuted at #3 on the Billboard Heatseeker charts and #4 on the Billboard World Music Charts, placing on a total of seven Billboard charts within the first week of its release.

Last year, HEILUNG shared their first ever music video for the Independent Music Award-winning song "Norupo," which is taken from 2019's critically-acclaimed release, 'Futha!' The video was shot at the Neolithic standing stones at Les Menhirs de Monteneuf in France. You can watch the stunning video at THIS LOCATION.

"Norupo" is composed around the ancient runic poem with the name ”The Norwegian Rune Poem”. The poem was preserved in a 17th-century copy of a now lost 13th-century manuscript and gives a complete description of all sixteen runes of the younger Futhark.

During 2020's Game Awards, HEILUNG announced that they will be working with U.K.-based gaming company Ninja Theory on the soundtrack for their upcoming game, 'Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II.' The announcement trailer for the new game features HEILUNG's song 'In Maidjan,' which is taken from their debut album, 'Ofnir.' Watch the trailer HERE.

In addition, they secured another video game collaboration with MY.GAMES and Booming Tech for the new season of the 'Conqueror's Blade' video game, 'VII: "Wolves of Ragnarok." The trailer for the game, featuring the track "Galgaldr," can be found HERE.

With lyrics recorded in Old Norse and inspired by Völuspá – a prophecy of Ragnarok from the Poetic Edda - HEILUNG’s atmospheric sound will immerse players in a dark new era for 'Conqueror’s Blade.' HEILUNG will also see their name being eternalized in one of the new combat map locations, which is now officially called ‘Heilung Fjord,’ and serves as a place for healing. More info on the game can be found HERE.

The band's music was featured in a trailer for the final season of HBO's 'Game of Thrones' series. It can be viewed HERE.

HEILUNG’s music was also previously featured in season 10 of the television show 'Vikings'. Episode 10 of Season 6 features multiple fragments of the tracks 'Fylgija Ear', 'Hamrer Hippyer' and 'Alfadhirhaiti'. A snippet of the music use in one of the 'Rus Army' scenes can be found HERE.

Speaking about 'Futha,' BILLBOARD wrote, "Tracks like 'Norupo,' which is led by female vocals, is beautiful and melodic, and the choir and tribal percussive background of 'Othan' is trance-like." You can read the full feature, which includes an interview with HEILUNG's Kai Uwe Faust, HERE.

Upon its release, 'Futha' has been met with international critical acclaim. Here is what the press is saying:

"There’s an earthy aura surrounding the record, not just from the sounds of nature but the primal energy it evokes, trying to wake something long lost to the ravages of time... the power and conviction of these chanted tales connect on a deeper level than mere riffs. You just have to let it in." - Kerrang

"'Futha' is consequently more a gentle, comforting blessing than it is an album: an escape from contemporary concerns and a reminder that there is still magic in this world." - Pure Grain Audio

"'Futha' leaves no stone unturned in its quest to experiment and bring its own true experience to the table. That said, it is easy to fall into a trance and with eyes closed to be transported to the past world that Heilung brings back to life. That is why Cryptic Rock gives Futha 4 out of 5 stars." - Cryptic Rock

"Indeed, I have no better word for the music than 'spellbinding.' The combination of the hide-drum and electronic rhythms, the contrasting vocals of Faust and Franz, the mystical keyboard layers, and the dark and ethereal melodies is wonderful." - No Clean Singing

"Heilung have just the ticket with their new record, 'Futha' (Season of Mist), which layers ancient Germanic chants six feet deep for total disembodied bliss." - Free Williamsburg

"Hypnotic and evocative, this preview of Heilung's upcoming album 'Futha' hints that another tradition-steeped masterpiece from the fascinating collective is to come." - Revolver Magazine
