WICKED ANNOUNCE NEW SINGLE/VIDEO, “GORGEOUS," AND US TOUR WITH RAVEN STARTS MARCH 24TH, 2024

One of today's most theatrical rockers, Wicked, has announced that February 2nd will mark the release of their newest single and video, "Gorgeous" – taken from the group's upcoming full-length, 'Sunburn.'

As part of the band's cross country road trip from NY to California, the video shoot for "Gorgeous" landed singer/guitarist Chad Michael, guitarist Scotty V, bassist Danny, and drummer Gunnar in the LA Barbie dream house owned by Vogue photographer Jaime Nelson. The song touches on the relatable heart string of eternal lasting love after a love-lost break up and all the confusion that goes along with it.

The single can be pre-saved via lnk.to/gorgeouspresave, while the video can be viewed below.

The clip sees actress/model Megan Davison revisiting boyfriends haunting her from the past and all of their character flaws. Watch and see who was the worst boyfriend and what she does to move on from a love-lost with each member of the band!

"These boys are like working with a pack of squirrels, yet this was the coolest project I've ever done and I'm so happy I stopped at their house and nominated myself to star in the video" - Megan Davison

And all four band members are overjoyed with how "Gorgeous" the video came out…

"I like how our characters are sadistically so similar to our own personalities...can you tell?!" - Danny

"I could just quit it all and stay to be Jamie Nelson's pool boy. God she is incredible." - Chad Michael

"Wait till the haters hear this song! Their heads are going to explode when they realize this isn't another Guns N' Roses wannabe tune. I hope it makes them uncomfortable!" - Gunnar

"Megan says I'm a pain in the ass, but I'm a rockstar! What do you expect? Who is the real star of this show?!" - Scotty V

Also, Wicked just returned from Tampa, FL after playing in front of 400k people at Gasparilla on the Voodoo Chef / Monster Energy Float! "The only thing better than partying at Gasparilla on a sunny 80 degree day in January, is getting to debut our latest single 'Gorgeous' to seas of people along the parade route!" - Chad Michael

Additionally, Wicked will be joining forces with Raven (who were one of the leaders of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal movement, that also spawned Iron Maiden, Def Leppard, and Saxon)  for a string of dates in spring 2024 – of which one of the highlights of their live set will undoubtedly be "Gorgeous"!

WICKED ANNOUNCE US TOUR WITH BRITISH METAL GREATS RAVEN

Modern-day melodic/theatrical rockers Wicked will be joining forces with Raven (who were part of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal movement that also spawned Iron Maiden, Def Leppard, and Saxon)  for a string of dates in spring 2024. Although Wicked – which is comprised of singer/guitarist Chad Michael, guitarist Scotty V, bassist Danny, and drummer Gunnar – will not be part of all the dates (which also includes sets by Vicious Rumors and Lutharo), they are confirmed for nine performances, with more to be announced in January.

The group will be touring in support of their newest album, 'Sunburn,' which the band describes as "A deliberate e-brake in our music and state of the band. After years of doing 80 mph in a 30 with no hands on the wheel, we decided there was so much more to what we had to share musically. Produced by 10-time Grammy winner Ignacio Molino, released through The Orchard and accompanied by 5 singles / videos, the album bares an authentic reflection on the highs and lows of being in a relentlessly hard-working rock band with all the euphoria and pain along the way."

"We looked inside for inspiration and made an album for us and not anyone else. Don’t miss the blend of inspirations from Third Eye Blind to Thin Lizzy and everything in between, the personified characters from each single like the 'Gorgeous' robot girl, and the cinematic destination music videos. Before you know it, you’ll be 'living like a Sunburn!'”

The band's latest single/video is for the title track, which can be viewed below.

And next step for Wicked are the string of what will undoubtedly be kick ass live performances with Raven.

"We are poised to drop our upcoming album 'Sunburn,' and there is no better way than supporting it by joining our friends in Raven for a North American Tour with our brand of high energy rock n' roll!" - Danny

“From growing up with Raven always around hanging with my family to being able to share multiple stages with them is an awesome achievement!” - Gunnar

"We have played a few one off shows with Raven, and man, these guys are wild... I can only imagine what kinda trouble we will get into with a full-on tour!" - Scotty V

"You bet your ass we are ready to cut our teeth and hit the road with the boys in Raven! All hell's breaking loose over America and there is nothing more WICKED than the live show we have in store for you all!" - Chad Michael

RAVEN To Release New Album 'Leave 'Em Bleeding"

RAVEN Announce New Album

'Leave 'Em Bleeding' out September 30th

A retrospective on the past seven years

Experts agree: Without Raven, neither thrash nor speed metal would exist in their current form. The British trio around the Gallagher brothers John (bass, vocals) and Mark(guitar) not only released some of the most important albums of the NWOBHM era, but they also had a lasting influence on an entire generation of musicians in the early 1980s. Much has changed since then, often either becoming vestigial or vanishing completely. Raven, however, have persevered, immortalizing themselves in the annals of music history with an imposing presence that continues up to this day. Not least through two studio albums that perfectly represent the recent works of the group: ‘ExtermiNation’(2015) and ‘Metal City’ (2020). To the great delight of their fans, Raven will be touring again in the foreseeable future – performing their new album ‘Leave ´Em Bleeding’,featuring the best of the past seven years plus some red-hot bonus tracks.

“In a way, this record is a retrospective on the past seven years, which were hugely important to us, even if they haven’t always been easy”, is how John Gallagher describes their songs ‘Top Of The Mountain’, ‘Metal City’, ‘The Power’, ‘Destroy All Monsters’ and ‘Battle March/Tank Treads’. The first three tracks mentioned are from ‘Metal City’, the following two from ‘ExtermiNation’. This glimpse into the past is rounded off by a live version of ‘Crash Bang Wallop’, found in its original version on the 2019 concert album ‘Screaming Murder Death From Above: Live...’, a special testimony to the boundless power of this band, which – in addition to the Gallagher brothers – is completed by drummer Mike Heller.

As a special gift to their large crowd of followers, Raven treats us to six bonus tracks one shouldn’t miss out on. It starts with ‘Necessary Evil’, one of the first three Raven songs after Mark Gallagher's serious accident in November 2001, when the guitarist was half-buried by a six-meter wall and had to undergo several surgeries to treat his severe injuries. Although the band was back on stage mere two years later, it wasn’t until 2009 that they could start working on their comeback album ‘Walk Through Fire’, with ‘Necessary Evil’ as its spectacular finale. Second bonus track is their Montrose number ‘Space Station #5’ (Mark Gallagher: “During the early years, we often ended our shows with this song”), followed by ‘Malice In Geordieland’, a superb outtake from the session for ‘ExtermiNation’. Second cover song on ‘Leave ´Em Bleeding’ is their Thin Lizzy number ‘Bad Reputation’. Gallagher comments: “We`ve always been total Lizzy fans. I`ve never seen them live, unfortunately, but their influence on us and many others is huge.”Rounding off the list of bonus tracks are ‘Rock This Town’ and ‘Stay Hard (Live)’; both come with exciting back stories. Gallagher: “’Rock This Town’ was produced by Michael Wagner in Nashville in March 2018 and features us as a trio live in the studio. The recording is just too powerful to have it sit in a drawer and collect dust. The live version of ‘Stay Hard’ is a 2017 recording from ‘The Vanguard’ in Tulsa, Oklahoma. An employee of the club recorded the show and gave it to us on a flash drive. We haven't played ‘Stay Hard’ too often, so in that sense the release is a little special.”

Six bonus tracks in perfect balance to the six “regular” songs, meaning twelve Ravenhighlights in total that leave you wanting more, especially regarding the concerts that will hopefully be taking place very soon!

The new album 'Leave 'Em Bleeding' will be released on September 30th, 2022 viaSPV/Steamhammer as CD DigiPak, LP version, bundle version with shirt (only at the Steamhammer shop), download and stream:

The British/American metal trio Raven released a new single and lyric video for the song "Top Of The Mountain" today. The song is taken from the new studio album "Metal City".

It’s often small things that can give powerful impetus to a musician’s creativity. In the case of USA-based metal trio Raven, featuring the English brothers John (bass, vocals) and Mark (guitar) Gallagher, it was the unanimously positive reactions to their 2015 release ExtermiNation, and of course the arrival of drummer Mike Heller (he joined the fold in summer 2017 to replace Joe Hasselvander, who had left the band due to health issues) which has resulted in an awesome new album. “Our initial goal was just to raise the bar once more. We did a good job on ExtermiNation and decided we just wanted more of everything next time,” John Gallagher grins. “however things changed once we got Mike on board. Attitude and tempos got revved up a lot! Mike is a ball of energy. He has a good ear and is a big fan of the early albums, especially the crazy feel. He’s kicked us into a higher gear where we feel that we can play anything and everything we write with no restrictions.” Gallagher’s explanations ring with pure, unadulterated musical enthusiasm and passion, so curtain up for Metal City, which sees Raven deliver ten songs with no holds barred.
