FACE YOURSELF - Drop New Single & Music Video "Ov Agony"

Transcontinental deathcore force Face Yourself have dropped their latest single Ov Agony, out now via Sumerian Records. The track arrives on the heels of the band’s breakout Martyr EP, which featured fan-favorite singles “Predatory”, “Sideration” and "Primal" pushed the band past 6 million global streams. Now, with “Ov Agony,” Face Yourself dive even deeper—offering one of their most unrelenting, emotionally raw tracks to date. Listen to 'Ov Agony" HERE and watch the official music video below.

Speaking on the new single, vocalist Yasmine Liverneaux shares:

"We are proud to release our new single "Ov Agony" via sumerian records. This song is for anyone who has ever felt like giving up. I wrote the lyrics based on a suicide letter that I wrote for my parents when I was 15, that I ended up never giving to them. Now that I have reached a certain peace in my life, it is easier to go back to those darker places, and heal these old wounds through music. I no longer have to hold this pain inside, and now that it has been freed through the music, this pain doesn't have to be mine anymore. I hope this can resonate with anyone who has shared this feeling, and hopefully let go of their pain knowing that artistic expressions can save lives, and unite people."

Blending feral vocals with scorched-earth breakdowns and moments of melodic collapse, “Ov Agony” continues Face Yourself’s mission to blur the line between brute force and emotional truth. Produced by Joey Sturgis (Asking Alexandria, The Devil Wears Prada), the band’s sound fuses modern deathcore chaos with raw, vulnerable storytelling—anchored by Yasmine’s searing performances and the band’s uncompromising intensity.

This summer, Face Yourself will bring their cathartic chaos to stages across the U.S. on Crystal Lake and VCTMS’ ‘Summer of Rampage’ Tour, kicking off July 4 in Brooklyn, NY. Full dates below.

ABOUT FACE YOURSELF

A transcontinental Deathcore phenomenon, Face Yourself has redefined what it means to blend modern heaviness with old-school roots. Featuring members from New York, New Jersey, Colorado, and France, their unique sound is as diverse as their origins. Vocalist Yasmine Liverneaux brings her French influence and socially conscious themes into the mix, setting the band apart with an intensity and depth that’s rarely seen in the genre.

With their Myspace-era throwback riffs, drop-tuned breakdowns, and sheer relentlessness, Face Yourself have become a staple of the modern Deathcore era. Their ability to connect with fans worldwide and their tireless drive have made them a force to be reckoned with—and they’ve only just begun.

FACE YOURSELF Announce New EP 'Martyr' + Drop New Track & Official Music Video For "Predatory"

Transcontinental deathcore collective, Face Yourself have announced their brand new EP ‘Martyr,’ today. The five track offering is set for release on April 18th via Sumerian Records and raises the modern deathcore bar to an unprecedented level. Punctuating today's news is their blistering new single "Predatory" which offers a brutal yet haunting exploration of trust and betrayal that dives deep into the dark undercurrents of vulnerability and self-preservation.

"Predatory" is out now and can be streamed HERE, the accompanying music video - directed by Face Yourself drummer, Eric DiCarlo - can be viewed below and the 'Martyr' EP can be pre-ordered HERE.

Speaking on their lates single and upcoming EP, Face Yourself shares:

"Face Yourself is proud to release our newest single "Predatory", alongside the announcement of our new EP "Martyr" via Sumerian Records. "Predatory" is based on a modern story with some metaphoric images. It's about going to a dance with a stranger and quickly finding yourself in a dangerous situation. 'Martyr' explores struggles through difficult mental health battles. The lyrical content on the EP is based on vulnerability, and confronting your own demons. The record flirts between standing up for yourself, but also getting back to this dark place, as no one has a perfect linear mental health. Sometimes it takes a few trials to heal old wounds.

Following the enormous success of their previous single "Sideration," which showcased the band’s ability to blend sheer aggression with lyrical vulnerability, the Martyr EPsees Face Yourself pushing even further into the unusual combination of emotionally vulnerable topics with ferociously brutal musicality. The EP reflects the cyclical nature of mental health struggles—balancing moments of empowerment with the dark pull of self-doubt.

Working with renowned producer Joey Sturgis (Asking Alexandria, Of Mice & Men, The Devil Wears Prada), Face Yourself have crafted an EP that musically blends bone-crushing breakdowns with hauntingly melodic interludes, reflecting the lyrical themes that flicker over the fragile line between strength and vulnerability. Pre-order bundles are available now HERE.

A Killer's Confession Share "Martyr" Video — WATCH + Touring Through Spring + Summer

A KILLER'S CONFESSION, newly signed to MNRK HEAVY, have shared their second single.

Today, they drop the video for "Martyr." Watch it Below

"'Martyr' is the second step into the lore of Victim 1," the band says. "This song is the embodiment of acceptance of who you are and what you have to do. Tossing aside what others might think of your actions knowing in the end, it really doesn't matter what anyone thinks."

Regarding the accompanying video, AKC say, "The video for 'Martyr' is the idea of how soldiers from The Crusades will go to church to ask for penance for their actions. The scenery of a simpler time and the camaraderie between the knights says it all. "What we do is for the greater good.'"

"Martyr' follows the band's previously released video for "Greed." Watch it here

Overall, A Killer's Confession explore the captivating repugnance of true crime, set to a soundtrack of melodic hard rock dosed with elements of metal and industrial, on their forthcoming album, the details of which will be announced in due course.

After three seminal albums with Mushroomhead, Reavis retreated from music, only for it to draw him back in 2016. He resurfaced at the helm of A Killer's Confession, delivering three cult favorite albums — Unbroken [2017], The Indifference of Good Men [2019], and Remember [2021]. Along the way, the band tallied tens of millions of streams in addition to collaborating with everyone from Brian "Head" Welch of Korn and Love And Death to Chad Gray of Mudvayne and HELLYEAH. Joined by bassist JP Cross, guitarist James Skritch, and the duo drums of Will Spodnik and Kegan King, they also captivated crowds on tour.

During 2022, Waylon experienced an epiphany. "I had never thought about following a concept like this before," he said. "However, I decided to focus, live up to the name, and be A Killer's Confession."

A Killer's Confession are on the road. All dates are below, including a trio of appearances with Mudvayne.
