Larry Fleet Releases the Groove-Filled "Like You Used To"

Country hitmaker Larry Fleet is back with a brand-new single and even more chances for fans to catch him live. The blues-tinged “Like You Used To” finds Fleet searching for answers on a fading love that once burned with passion. Listen Below.

Co-written by Fleet with Jamie Moore and Ernest K., the mid-tempo groove leans into warm country soul as Fleet reflects on the little things that once made love feel electric – and how to bring that spark back.

“We’ve all been in that relationship where the fire cools off a bit, and you start looking back, wondering where the spark went,” said Fleet. “That’s what ‘Like You Used To’ is about – but it’s got a groove, and I think a lot of folks will connect with this.”

“Like You Used To” follows Fleet’s “Hard Work & Holy Water” and his recent release “A Lotta Women,” a heartfelt tribute to the kind of steady love that holds it all together – both of which showcase the blue-collar ethos and emotional honesty that define his sound.

And fans will have even more chances to hear these tracks live, as Fleet expands his Hard Work & Holy Water Tour with 25 new U.S. dates running through the end of 2025.

Fleet will first take his soulful mix of country, R&B and Southern rock overseas, kicking off the international leg of the tour in Glasgow, Scotland on August 20, followed by shows across the U.K., Belgium and the Netherlands.

Returning stateside, Fleet heads right to the heartland on September 11 in Shipshewana, Indiana, launching a coast-to-coast trek from Georgia to California, with dates extending through December 12 in Las Vegas. On most nights, fans will enjoy a double shot of Fleet – opening with an acoustic set before returning with his full band for the main show. Rising duo The Kruse Brothers will join select West Coast dates.

Fleet’s recent run of sold-out shows and expanding global footprint underscores a breakout chapter in the making. As Billboard praises, he’s an artist who “delves into blues, rock and retro-country with ease,” and with every new release, he proves there’s no substitute for the real thing.

About Larry Fleet:
Tennessee-born troubadour Larry Fleet grew up on a stack of records spanning Merle Haggard, Otis Redding, Willie Nelson and Marvin Gaye. A thoughtful songwriter with a knack for a one-liner, an ear for a sturdy hook, and a powerhouse voice that strikes like a match, Fleet was working blue-collar jobs to make ends meet long before landing his recording contract with Big Loud Records. Seven years later and again working as an independent artist, the devout family man is turning heads among fans and critics as a songwriter (“Man Made A Bar” recorded by Morgan Wallen featuring Eric Church) alongside his own music, 2021’s tribute to the music that raised him, Stack of Records, his aptly titled 2019 debut, Workin’ Hard, 2023's Earned It, featuring the single “Things I Take For Granted,” and his first latest, 2025’s independently-released “A Lotta Women.” Saving Country Music puts it simply: “If you're looking for the future of traditional country music, then look no further.”

Larry Fleet's Ode "A Lotta Women" Out Now

Country hitmaker Larry Fleet may be a self-proclaimed rollin’, ramblin’ and gamblin’ man, however behind it all is the woman who keeps him steady—his wife. Built from grit and grace, her unshakable loyalty shines as the inspiration behind Fleet’s newest release, “A Lotta Women.” Listen Below.

Fleet’s release arrives as his headlining Hard Work & Holy Water Tour spans the United States with sold-out shows featuring Kentucky-rooted Everette on select dates. Showcasing his dynamic vocals and an ace band, he also brings the tour to Europe in August.

Written by Fleet, James McNair and Jake Mitchell, “A Lotta Women” offers a unique perspective on relationships as a touring artist.

“There’s not a lotta women that put up with this kind of life, especially with everything that entails: being gone all of the time and traveling,” Fleet shares. “I’ve got me one of those women that sticks around through it all and gives me the opportunity to pursue this dream. And that’s true for a lot of us workin’ folks.”

A lotta women woulda washed their hands of a man like me
Changed the locks
Pawned the rock
I’d be forgotten but not forgiven

“It’s a different side of me,” Fleet continues. “It’s a little more rock with a cool vibe to it and I dig what our producer Trent Willman did to this arrangement. Hope y’all enjoy.”

The release follows Fleet’s “Hard Work & Holy Water,” which reflects Fleet's background in pouring concrete by day and playing in local bars by night, encapsulating the work ethic that’s helped the troubadour transition into the independent artist he is today.

As Billboard observes, “with a style that delves into blues, rock and retro-country with ease,” Fleet’s years of hard work are paying off.

Whether writing about his days working construction (“Earned It” and “Working Man”) or balancing his life present-day (“Things I Take For Granted” and “Muddy Water”), you leave Fleet’s 20-plus song headlining sets with a deeper sense of gratitude and optimism he’s proud to impart.

Larry Fleet Releases “Hard Work & Holy Water” As Tour Opens Tonight

Larry Fleet knows hard work, pouring concrete by day and playing in local bars by night. It’s a work ethic that’s helped the troubadour again transition to life as an independent artist as he readies “Hard Work & Holy Water” (Listen HERE) in accordance with his headlining Hard Work & Holy Water Tour kicking off tonight (2/13) in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

“I’m where I’m at in life and my career because of a whole lotta hard work and even more Holy Water,” Fleet shares. “I’ve had some big changes in my career and life this past year, and I’m living this song every day so it only made sense that this should be the name of my tour and the first song that I released as an independent artist.

“I always try to write songs that are honest to me and something that I’ve either lived or am living at the moment, and this song is where I’m at in my life,” he explains of the song penned alongside Luke Laird and Barry Dean, with Fleet concluding, “I’m very proud of this song – it just feels special to me.”

Fleet notes even more new music is in the works, “I’m working with my friend Trent Willmon in the studio on some more new music, and I really hope people like it and find their own stories in it.”

As Billboard observes, “with a style that delves into blues, rock and retro-country with ease,” his years of hard work are paying off. Fleet concluded 2024 with The Earned It Tour trek that included theaters from New Orleans to Boston and beyond, as well as one-offs joining Billy Currington, Kip Moore, Jon Pardi and Morgan Wallen. In 2024, Fleet visited fans in Canada and the UK, headlining sold out shows in London and Niagara Falls– and will soon head to Australia for shows in Melbourne and Sydney with Pardi and Zach Top.

Whether writing about his days working construction (“Earned It” and “Working Man”), or balancing his life present-day (“Things I Take For Granted” and “Muddy Water”), you leave Fleet’s 20-plus song headlining sets with a deeper sense of gratitude and optimism he’s proud to impart.

“I’m really excited about 2025 and all the new music and different projects that I have in the works and also on the touring side,” Fleet concludes. “We will be all over the world this year and they tell me shows are already selling out, so things are looking up and I’m excited.”

ABOUT EVERETTE
Sometimes the way forward is finding your way back. For Everette, this means a return to their roots and remembering the days when the duo, Brent and Anthony first started making noise 16 years ago in the college bars and honky tonks of Bowling Green, KY. Over the past few years, these two Bullitt County, KY, have been busy racing from one stage to another via planes, trains, vans, and tour buses…rolling through all four corners of the US, singing through jet lag touring Europe, and playing the Grand Ole Opry 11 times. Everette spent the last year in the studio honing in on their Kentucky roots, and plunged head first into a muscularly unplugged sound. Chock full of traditional leaning melodies and grassy resonator licks while also keeping the rowdy rock and roll energy that Everette has always provided their audience, their latest EP, Keys To Kentucky, is just the start of this new journey.
