LANDMVRKS Share Video For New Single - A Line in the Dust

French metalcore stars LANDMVRKS have unveiled their latest single, "A Line In The Dust" featuring Mat Welsh from While She Sleeps. A fiery and emotional anthem that continues to build anticipation for their forthcoming fourth album, The Darkest Place I’ve Ever Been, set for release on April 25.

Following the explosive double single "Sulfur and Sombre" and "16,"  "A Line In The Dust" showcases the Marseille-based quintet's signature blend of punishing riffs, melodic hooks, and deeply personal lyricism. Frontman Florent Salfati's powerful vocals lead the charge in what is already being hailed as one of the band's most emotionally resonant tracks to date.

Known for pushing boundaries and captivating over 900,000 monthly Spotify listeners, LANDMVRKS continue to carve their name into the global metalcore scene. With pre-orders for The Darkest Place I've Ever Been now live, fans can expect the album to be their most ambitious and impactful release yet.

LANDMVRKS' relentless drive, paired with their world touring success in 2024 and past hits like "Creature," ensures that A Line In The Dust is another bold step in solidifying their legacy as a force to be reckoned with in modern metalcore.

A Line In The Dust continues to develop the story of the creature, who, in a moment of self-awareness, realizes who she truly is and that she is trapped in her own world.

The addition of Mat Welsh emphasizes the effect of duality and adds a universal dimension to this story.

ABOUT LANDMVRKS:

LANDMVRKS were born in 2014 in Marseille, France.  For two years, the band composed songs, recorded and started playing local shows by sharing the bill with bands such as FIRST BLOOD, MORE THAN LIFE and little by little, LANDMVRKS started making a name for themselves in the French metalcore scene. During this time, the band released a few singles and videos to help build up their fan base. In May 2016, LANDMVRKS released their first album Hollow, entirely produced by Salfati and Exposito. They decided to release this album independently, and toured Europe to showcase this opus. They seduced their audiences with a modern metalcore style peppered with hardcore riffs and catchy choruses. This album helped secure them slots on big festivals, helping to strengthen their reputation.

In 2018, the band signed a contract with Arising Empire for their second studio album Fantasy and they demonstrated how successfully the band has managed to build their name and assert its own style. the next two years, they traveled the world, played in Japan, did some headlines tours and had the opportunity to have great European tours (While She Sleeps, Stray From The Path, Any Given Day).

While they were on the road, they had the time to focus on brand new material. The band members gathered together when lockdown ended in France, after one of the strangest periods ever experienced. The time had come for them to assemble, within the vocalist's studio (Homeless Records), the elements of their third album, fashioned for months. The purpose of this album, entitled Lost In The Waves, is clearly not to reinvent LANDMVRKS. The purpose is to fully deploy the band's arsenal in order to definitively impose its style. An uncompromising style, assumed, claimed, and highly distinctive. The listener goes through massive, energetic, or even aerial parts, without escaping the efficient groove inherited from a rap culture. The musical production of this album is the most accomplished and organic that the group has ever had. This album shows that instead of getting lost in the waves, the French band firmly holds the helm.

Paleface Join Forces With LANDMVRKS On Brand New Track "Dead Man's Diary"

Switzerlan's very own purveyors of brutality, PALEFACE, have launched the new era of the band today with the release of brand new track "Dead Man's Diary". The track features guest vocals from PALEFACE's longtime friend and producer, Florent Salfati of LANDMVRKS and comes accompanied by a big production, high octane music video featuring helicopters, pyro and an S&M dungeon. Watch the video here or by clicking the image below and find the track on streaming platforms here.

Speaking on his band’s latest music video release, frontman Zelli shares

"This song is about a man who has witnessed the overwhelming atrocity that played out in the first three chapters of the band and is now trying to process it with the help of diary entries. The words describe his life, which on the one hand shows the beautiful and positive events he experienced yet on the other hand, demonstrate the pure horror he witnessed.

"This is the most elaborate music video our band has ever filmed. It is a metaphor for the lyrical content of the song. On the outside everything seems fun and larger than life, but deep down the man is imprisoned by his overwhelming, dark thoughts and self-loathing. Having Florent of LANDMVRKS on the song with us was awesome. He also joins us in the video and gives an explosive performance. He is our long-time producer and a good friend of ours, so it was only a matter of time before we finally joined forces.

"Welcome to the next chapter of Paleface. This is just the beginning."

ABOUT PALEFACE

Paleface was formed in Zurich, Switzerland in 2017 by vocalist Marc Zellweger (Zelli) and drummer Colin Hammond (CJ) having met through a mutual friend in 2016. After bonding over a shared love of beatdowns and hardcore, Zelli and CJ shook hands at a concert in 2017 and promised they would create the craziest beatdown band ever together.

They recruited guitarist Yannick Lehmann to the band and released their debut ‘Chapter 1: From The Gallows’ in 2018. Later that year, they brought bassit Tommy-Lee Abt to Paleface family. They played their first show in October 2018 and quickly grew in popularity with the song “Deprivation Method”.

In early 2019, Paleface started writing ‘Chapter 2: Witch King’ which was released in May 2019. The band started to gain international attention with the release of tracks “Human Hunter” and “Skin People”. They released the single “No Mercy At All” at the end of 2019 and started working on the final installment of the dark story they’d created with Chapters 1 & 2.

Chapter 3: The Last Selection’ was released on October 30th 2020 to much acclaim. PALEFACE released two music videos for huge tracks “Curse Us”, “The Rats” and “Skalpell” which quickly ranked high in the deadown/hardcore charts and saw the band become cover stars on Spotify’s Heavy Beatdown playlist. The released the music video for "Lights Out" earlier this year. Their releases to date have seen them clock up nearly 3.5 million streams across all platforms and 90k monthly listeners on Spotify alone.

The band have been hard at work on new material and will have more news to share in the coming weeks

The neutrality Switzerland is known for globally does not apply to Paleface.

They came to destroy.
