Melodic death metal force ATAVISTIA present the new single release, "In the Shadow of Tomorrow." The song arrives ahead of the forthcoming deluxe edition of Old Gods Awaken, and the band's extensive 16-date Canadian tour running from September 25 through October 11, 2026.

"In the Shadow of Tomorrow" is one of ATAVISTIA’s most dynamic and melodic songs to date, combining relentless blast beats and heavy, fast-paced riffing with soaring melodies, dramatic shifts in intensity, and a ripping guitar solo. The track balances aggression and atmosphere throughout, building toward an emotional and triumphant climax while showcasing the band’s blend of melodic death metal, symphonic grandeur, and modern extreme metal.

ATAVISTIA — CANADIAN TOUR 2026

Bringing Old Gods Awaken to the live stage, ATAVISTIA's Canadian tour begins on home soil at Vancouver’s Wise Hall on September 25, where ATAVISTIA will join Finnish folk metal veterans ENSIFERUM and Greek power metal heavyweights FIREWIND. From there, ATAVISTIA will head east through British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario and Quebec.

BC technical melodic death metal outfit OMNIESIA will accompany ATAVISTIA for shows in Kamloops, Calgary and Edmonton, while Quebec folk/melodic death metal band TROLLWAR joins the tour beginning October 3 in Sarnia and remains on the bill through the October 11 finale in Montreal.
