AU's Windwaker Share Video for New Song "Arcane" From "HYPERVIOLENCE" Expansion Pack

Australia's WINDWAKER — vocalist Liam Guinane, guitarist Justin Keurntjes, bassist Indey Salvestro, drummer Chris Lalic, and synths/samples specialist Connor Robins — released HYPERVIOLENCE last summer via Fearless Records. The band also crashed domestic shores for their first-ever U.S. tour this summer, supporting Northlane. It was truly a smashing success where Windwaker won the audience over each and every night!

The band is dropping the HYPERVIOLENCE EXPANSION PACK deluxe record on February 14. Pre-order it here.

The EXPANSION PACK will include three new tracks, plus other surprises.

They share the video for "Arcane." Watch it below.

"'Arcane' encapsulates the emotions and inner battles when faced with moments of uncertain change," Guinane shares. "Written early on in my journey joining as Windwaker's vocalist, the song explores the push and pull of self-doubt and determination, resulting in an anthemic track embracing the weight of new beginnings and forging a path forward."

It's a fearlessly dynamic track that steadily builds its tension throughout, leading to a colossal breakdown and a torrent of riffs and screams. The song also highlights the band's effortless incorporation of synths and hip-hop cadences into its ballistic hard rock acrobatics. It also features a singalong chorus that will bellow in the crowds of all future Windwaker gigs.

Windwaker previously shared the visualizer for "Apathy." Watch and listen here.

Shattering all restraint, Windwaker tear at the seams of their sonic boundaries, refining and finessing their craft into something truly unique. Concocting an unsuspecting recipe of electro-charged violence, sickly sweet pop hooks, bouncing hip-hop moments and slick riffage, the charismatic quintet move towards exciting new territory with each new release. And HYPERVIOLENCE is the summit of their efforts.

Windwaker will return to the U.S. for their second-ever tour of the market this coming winter with fellow Aussies Make Them Suffer. All dates are below.

Emerging out of Melbourne, Victoria, the Australian outfit has cultivated a dedicated and passionate fanbase, amassing millions of digital streams since their inception in 2017. Last July's release, "SIRENS," has cracked over 5 million Spotify streams in just a few months time, and saw the band travel across the nation in celebration on the Love In The Dark Tour with Caskets (UK) and alt., selling out nearly every date along the way.

The band's debut album Love Language was released in 2022 via Fearless Records and Cooking Vinyl, demonstrated an unpredictable and undeniable exploration of love across 12 tracks. Windwaker translate their electric and eclectic energy on record to the live stage, with JB Hi-Fi's STACK Magazine last year reviewing: "From full-on mosh to sensitive slowdance, the five-piece delivered a propulsive statement on the status of modern metalcore." The band have carved their name into the core of Australia's alternative music community and have toured alongside some of metal's most favored acts — Beartooth (US), I Prevail (US), Motionless In White (US), Enter Shikari (UK), Caskets (UK), Creeper (UK), Northlane, and more.

Windwaker will embark on their first-ever U.S. tour this summer in support of Northlane. All dates are below and get amped to enjoy Windwaker live and onstage, in their most natural state.

Windwaker Announce New Album "HYPERVIOLENCE" + Share "Break the Rules" Video

Australia's WINDWAKER — vocalist Liam Guinane, guitarist Jesse Crofts, bassist Indey Salvestro, drummer Chris Lalic, and synths/samples specialist Connor Robins — are pleased to announce their new album HYPERVIOLENCE, which arrives July 12 via Fearless Records. Pre-order it here

Today, the band has shared the video for the industrial-tinged banger "Break the Rules." With its heavy artillery riffing and bouncy, cadenced vocal style, it's on its way to becoming one of the hard rock jams of the summer!

Watch it below

"'Break the Rules' explores the exchange between two different personalities and the prospect of living life to its fullest," the band shares. "One side is wild and willing to act out regardless of consequence, encouraging the other, who is more reserved and considerate, but ultimately unable to live beyond the rules of society (and therefore unable to live care-free like the former). To put it plainly, it's a conversation between an introvert and an extrovert trying to highlight why their way of life is superior to the other, all while accepting the benefit to both approaches."
