GRAVEYARD - release stomping new single 'A Means To An End' + start pre-order for new album 'Fever'

One of the most distinctive and revered forces in modern rock music, Sweden's very own GRAVEYARD are back with a brand new single, 'A Means To An End', the first glimpse at their highly anticipated 7th studio album Fever, which will be released on October 9th, 2026 worldwide on Nuclear Blast Records.

Arriving three years after the gloomier, introverted Six, GRAVEYARD are literally turning up the heat by delivering a sonic experience that is drenched in fuzz and distortion, sporting massive Sabbath-ian grooves on opener ‘Back From The Grave’, CCR fuelled grandeur on ‘Time To Tell’ and straight-forward, hard hitting rock on ‘Room Tempered’, ‘Tongue Tied’ and ‘Means To An End’. Formed in 2006, the band collectively emphasizes the fierce spirit of the album.

With Fever, the band returns to the forefront of the scene with a noticeably heavier, more direct sound. They’ve entrusted the mixing duties to Pelle Gunnerfeldt who is widely renowned for capturing the ferocious energy of bands such as The Hives, Refused, and recently Viagra Boys whereas mastering was handled by Robin Schmidt at 24-96 Mastering. Amidst its sheer drive, GRAVEYARD retained the undeniable, blues-soaked soul that originally defined their breakthrough album, Hisingen Blues, on slower songs like album closer ‘Dead Note’ yet with a good dose of fiery anger.

After the fairly subtle, mysterious art on Six, GRAVEYARD went for a striking visual approach on Fever relying on acclaimed Dutch artist Maarten Donders who cooperated with the band on their Split 7” with Goat, and whose work has been prominently showcased at cult festival Roadburn, featuring designs for more than 50 artists, ranging from Acid King to legendary Frank Zappa.

With two number-one albums in Sweden already to their name, GRAVEYARD will initiate the touring cycle with a co-headline run through Scandinavia with Blues Pills to properly celebrate the release of Fever, followed by Europe/UK wide touring and festivals in 2027.

Brace for impact, GRAVEYARD came back from the grave and they caught a Fever.

GRAVEYARD - Announce Brand New Album "Fever" To Be Released On October 9th

One of the most distinctive and revered forces in rock music, Sweden’s GRAVEYARD have announced October 9th, 2026 as the release date for their highly anticipated seventh studio album, Fever. Three years after the dreamlike haze of much-lauded previous record Six, the band return with a heavier, more direct sound — while still carrying the blues-soaked soul that defined their breakthrough album Hisingen Blues.

GRAVEYARD commented:
“Alright folks. Here it is — album number 7.
Fever. Haven’t we always had it?
The itch, the burn and the restlessness.
The urge to push forward into the fog. Even with the teeth of hopelessness snapping at our asses and all the smoke and mirrors of our time telling us we got no future.
Come what may. Let’s go!

This time around, we decided to waste no time. No outside producer. No detours.
Just GRAVEYARD, straight to the point, doing what we do best.
This just might be our greatest album so far!
Hope you like it, too.”

The striking artwork for Fever was created by acclaimed Dutch artist Maarten Donders, whose powerful and expressive visual style has been showcased at the renowned cult festival Roadburn. Over the years, Donders has created artwork for more than 50 artists, ranging from Acid King to Frank Zappa.

Handling mixing duties is Pelle Gunnerfeldt, celebrated for capturing the raw intensity of bands such as The Hives and Refused, while more recently working with Viagra Boys.

Furthermore,GRAVEYARD have confirmed the first leg of their 2026 / 2027 tour with BLUES PILLS. Scroll down for all confirmed shows. Stay tuned for more European dates to be announced!

GRAVEYARD - release new album '6' + visualiser for 'Bright Lights'

Today GRAVEYARD release their brand new album 6 via Nuclear Blast Records. 6 is easily identifiable as the most striking, original album of GRAVEYARD’s story so far. A gently lysergic blend of desolate guitars, simmering Hammond and lithe, nimble bass and drums, the Swedes demonstrate a lightness of touch that they have only hinted at in the past. To coincide with the albums release, the band have also revealed a visualiser for the track 'Bright Lights'.

The band comments ”It took its not always so sweet time, but the day for 6 to be released is finally here. Now let it spin”

About GRAVEYARD

As enduring and authentic as an old school leather jacket, GRAVEYARD have long since mastered the art of rock’n’roll. Formed in 2006 in Gothenburg, Sweden, their shared passion for hard rock, psychedelia and the eternal bedrock of blues marked them out from the start. Led by vocalist/guitarist Joakim Nilsson, they opened their account with their now seminal self-titled Tee Pee Recordings debut in 2007, showcasing fiery chemistry and some wildly imaginative songwriting. Subsequently snapped up by the mighty Nuclear Blast Records, the band’s rise to prominence was swift and irresistible.

In 2008 the band released second album Hisingen Blues - a critical smash that more than lived up to the hype, it established GRAVEYARD as rock’n’roll heavyweights. A thunderous, soul-stirring live band, with subtlety and swagger in equal amounts, they spent the next decade keeping fans of loose-limbed and earthy rock music in a near-constant state of rapture. From the rootsy clatter of 2012’s Lights Out to the magical, muscular grooves of 2018’s Peace (taking in the sepia-tinted folk doom of 2015’s Innocence & Decadencealong the way), GRAVEYARD have made some of the most vital and vivid heavy rock of the 21st century.
