Frozen Soul Share Video for "Creature of the Wheel" White Zombie Cover — WATCH // Touring This Spring

The weather may be warming up for spring, but there's a bitter frost hanging in the air, courtesy of the death metal crew known as Frozen Soul.

Today, the band has shared their cover of White Zombie's "Creature of the Wheel." Watch it below.

The visual certainly pays homage to the instantly familiar, DayGlo green aesthetic of White Zombie, while the band puts its uniquely shivery spin on the sonics.

"We wanted to cover a song outside of death metal that we could give justice to in our style and 'Creature of the Wheel' felt perfect," the band says. "We slowed it down and made it even heavier, all the while staying true to the groove White Zombie is known for. We got outside of our comfort zone and even used a theremin to add that old school horror feel!"

Frozen Soul — vocalist Chad Green; guitarists Michael Munday and Chris Bonner; bassist Samantha Mobley; and drummer Matt Dennard — unleashed its latest album Glacial Domination via Century Media last year. The album was produced by Trivium vocalist/guitarist Matthew K. Heafy and co-produced by Daniel Schmuck. Get it here.

Frozen Soul will return to the road with frigid force this spring, supporting Amon Amarth, Cannibal Corpse, and Obituary on the epic Metal Crushes All tour. All dates are below, including some one-offs.

Frozen Soul Share "Frozen Soul" + "Assimilator" Video — WATCH // "Glacial Domination" Out Today

NEW ALBUM OUT NOW, VIA CENTURY MEDIA

BRRR! There's a chill in the air and it's courtesy of ice cold death metal crew
Frozen Soul!

The band — vocalist
Chad Green; guitarists Michael Munday and Chris Bonner; bassist Samantha Mobley; and drummer Matt Dennard — is back with frigid force and have unleashed its new album Glacial Domination today, May 19, via Century Media. The album was produced by Trivium vocalist/guitarist Matthew K. Heafy and co-produced by Daniel Schmuck. Get it here.

Today, the band has shared the double video for "
Frozen Soul" and "Assimilator." Watch it below.

"As a band, we have always pushed to have fun doing what we love. Glacial Domination, as a record, is a statement to our growth together and how we will not stop having fun doing what we love! With the help of Daniel Schmuck and Matthew k Heafy, we did our best to try new things in preproduction and the studio, expanding on what Frozen Soul is, and keeping fun! We truly couldn't be happier with the outcome," the band shares.

Regarding the double video drop, Frozen Soul says, "'Frozen Soul' and 'Assimilator' are the perfect set of tracks to debut the whole record with. These songs showcase where frozen soul has been, where we are and where we plan to go! The songs and video are a tribute to John Carpenter's The Thing, one of our all-time favorite movies and a huge influence on the band! It was amazing having my brother Josh Green involved in the concept and lyrical writing as well as our friend GOST with the synth for the beginning and the end of the two songs! The video shot and edited by Brendan McGowen is set in both The Thing film and comic world and we had a lot of fun creating it in the mountains of Denver! We hope you all enjoy it as much as we did making it all!"

"'Glacial Domination' was co-written by the band and Matt Heafy of Trivium," Frozen Soul share. "We had a lot of fun exploring new things like catchier choruses, more leads, and solos. It's an avalanche of riffs leaning in traditional Frozen Soul but adding some new flavor. At the end of the day, we wanted to write a catchy and fun death metal song! It's paired with another video by Brendan McGowen that features Matt and a fight between a stranded, time-traveling space man and a literal caveman — what's not to love about that?!"

"This song is special to me as it's about my late brother," says Green. "We used to play Everquest and when I stopped, I gave him my character named 'Swiftarroww.' He played Swift for 20 years until he passed. The song reflects on his life, referencing the game and how he never let darkness change who he was. He shone bright and made everyone around him shine. Now that he's gone, we carry his light to keep the darkness at bay."

FROZEN SOUL ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM GLACIAL DOMINATION

ALBUM OUT MAY 19 VIA CENTURY MEDIA

BAND SHARES GLORIOUSLY GORY VIDEO FOR "MORBID EFFIGY"

SONG PREMIERED VIA SIRIUSXM'S LIQUID METAL

BRRR! There's a chill in the air and it's courtesy of ice cold death metal crew Frozen Soul!

The band — vocalist Chad Green; guitarists Michael Munday and Chris Bonner; bassist Samantha Mobley; and drummer Matt Dennard —is back with frigid force and will unleash its new album Glacial Domination on May 19 via Century Media. The album was produced by Trivium vocalist/guitarist Matthew Heafy and co-produced by Daniel Schmuck. Pre-order it here.

Today, the band has shared the NSFW video for first single "Morbid Effigy," featuring Dying Fetus' John Gallagher. Watch it below.

But be forewarned — it's not for the faint of heart, since it's not every day that you can string together a snowman constructed from innards.

The track officially premiered via SiriusXM's Liquid Metal earlier this week.

"'Morbid Effigy' is straight to the point death metal that’s exactly what it should be — fun," the band exclaims. "This song is everything Frozen Soul is, and we are so excited for everyone to hear it! The video is truly a work of art, literally. Have you ever wondered what a snowman would look like made out of guts?"
