The world may have broken, but it has always been that way for lead singer Aria and long time ally Mac Lee. After being held down and told to conform, they decided to hit back with their new release – "DEFIANT". It is time to rail against ideas, people, authority figures and declare – I will not go silent, I am Defiant.

"Defiant" is a fast-paced track that opens with heavy tribal drums, setting a powerful tone. The song features a guttural yet ethereal vocal performance, expressing the raw emotion of breaking free. "Defiant" transcends their typical break-out anthem, "I'm Not Broken", capturing the spirit of punk from the '70s, the disaffected Gen X of the '90s, and the resilient individuals of the 2020s. From the compelling hook "I won’t be silenced" to the liberating bridge "Set me free," this song is designed to ignite passion and inspire fans to raise their fists and chant the anthemic line, "I am Defiant."

The Other LA is a band on the verge of a metamorphosis. Originally from Louisiana, this four-piece band now calls Nashville home. Defiant released their latest single "Ignite the Sky" to all major platforms via Curtain Call Records along with the official music video. The single was produced, mixed and mastered at Atrium Audio in Lititz, Pa. The band is set to release their third EP in 2023.

On July 16,1945 humanity had to ask themselves whether their scientific curiosity had gone beyond that of man, and transcend into an apocalyptic cataclysm of hellfire. Defiant is set to release their second EP The Rent In Hell Is Free on July 16, 2021 via Curtain Call Records. The EP features guest appearances by Ace Von Johnson (L.A. Guns/Faster Pussycat), Richard Reilly (The Bo Deadlys/The Victims) and Jim Taylor (Lenne).

The first single and music video “Free for A Price” is currently impacting airwaves. The band describes the new EP as cut throat, no nonsense intensity emoting apathy, anger, sorrow and fear mixed with a tablespoon of sugar to help it go down. We pulled no punches and left no risk untaken over the two- year period of writing and recording this EP and we are extremely proud to finally release it to the world.
