At the heart of De Venom Natura lies a central concept: Nature as both seduction and toxin, creation and annihilation. The record contemplates poison not as mere destruction, but as a transformative agent within an eternal cycle of life, death and rebirth. Across seven tracks, including “Lunga vita alla necrosi,” and “Il veleno della Natura,” the band articulate this duality through ritualistic repetition, lyrical invocations and a tension-driven sonic architecture.

Emerging from Turin’s underground in 2020, Ponte Del Diavolo have forged a distinct identity rooted in doom, black metal, post-punk and wave. Their uncommon dual-bass configuration remains central to the project’s character, grounding rhythmic guitars beneath wave-tinged female vocals and a raw, dynamic drum pulse. On De Venom Natura, that foundation is pushed further. The core instrumentation was recorded live at The Deepest Sea studio in Turin to preserve the immediacy and tension of their performances.

With De Venom Natura, Ponte del Diavolo extend their boundaries without abandoning their core identity. It is a record that channels stage-born intensity into a controlled studio ritual, where poison becomes revelation and decay becomes a form of consciousness.

PONTE DEL DIAVOLO craft a focused blend of doom, black metal, post‐punk, and wave—an aesthetic they call “blackened post‐punk.” Wave‐tinged female vocals anchor the project’s flaming core, supported by an uncommon dual‐bass setup that grounds the rhythmic guitars and a raw, dynamic drum pulse.

The result is an immersive, tension‐driven sound. Following the initial release of three EPs, the band signed to Season of Mist and unveiled their first full-length album, Fire Blades from the Tomb.

After two years on the road - appearing at leading European festivals such as Roadburn and Inferno in support of their debut - Ponte del Diavolo return with “De Venom Natura,” a record that extends and refines their musical boundaries.

Ponte Del Diavolo Devilishly Charm on "Il Veleno della Natura"

Fresh off of leaving a mark on their fiery debut, Ponte Del Diavolo are fanning the flames with their upcoming second album. Drawing from the dark and dancing depths of the band’s dueling bassists and the raw spirit of their fiery live ritual, De Venom Natura delivers an all the more potent twist of blackened post-punk.

“[…]deliciously diabolical” No Clean Singing wrote in praise of the album’s spirited lead single. “Erba del Diavolo’s dramatically beautiful but spooky singing creates a key contrast as it soars and quavers above the music’s charging pulse”

Today, Ponte Del Diavolo are releasing the second advanced single from De Venom Natura. A skeleton key into the album, “Il veleno della Natura” distills its theme into a chilling science, where nature’s poison becomes not a threat but a source of life.

“Il Veleno della Natura” is an intoxicating surrender to the venom of existence. Within the hypnotic flow of De Venom Natura, the album’s latest single marks a feverish turning point, where its poisonous metaphor comes alive with a shock. As the guitars and drums snake with tension, Erba del Diavolo slithers between whispered confessions and a fervent invocation that sparks an ecstatic transformation.

Ponte Del Diavolo Uncork First Intoxicating Spell from 'De Venom Natura'

Fresh off of leaving a mark on their fiery debut, Ponte Del Diavolo are fanning the flames with their upcoming second album. De Venom Natura pushes the band’s potent blend of black metal and post-punk into an intoxicating trance. Forged in the fires of the band’s ritualistic performances at Roadburn and Inferno Festival, lead single, “Spirit, Blood, Poison, Ferment!”, distills its poisonous essence into a feverish hymn of decay and rebirth.

“This song was among the first written for our new album”, says Ponte Del Diavolo. “It powerfully marks the transition from our previous work to now. Featured guest Francesco Bucci of Ottone Pesante adds apocalyptic nuances that intensify the song’s atmosphere”.

“Spirit, Blood, Poison, Ferment!” encapsulates the potency of Ponte Del Diavolo’s patented blackened post-punk. Erba del Diavolo’s enchantments slither beneath spiky riffs, entangled bass lines, a ritualistic pounding of drums and curious bursts from Bucci’s trombone.

The song’s video was filmed and edited by Underroom Studio and stars Davide Straccione. Along with being the vocalist for Shores of Null, Straccione is a long-time friend and collaborator of Ponte Del Diavolo. He first appeared on the band’s debut album, Fire Blades from the Tomb, where he contributed guest vocals to their cover of “Weeping Song” by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds.

Ponte Del Diavolo Announce New Album 'De Venom Natura'

Last year, Ponte Del Diavolo made their mark by bridging the gap between several darkened corners of the underground on their fiery debut album. Fire Blades from the Tomb welds doom, black metal and post-punk into a towering, twisted, new wave of dark art that's as cruel and mesmerizing as their native Italy's infamous Devil's Bridge.

"...a bold, engrossing, fully formed debut from a talented new band", wrote Last Rites.

Today, the Italians are fanning the flames by announcing their new album. De Venom Natura pushes the band’s potent fusion even further behind their distinct, dueling bass guitars. Forged in the fires unearthed by their ritualistic performances, the album offers an intoxicating meditation on nature’s poisonous undercurrent. Charmed by Erba del Diavolo’s bewitching vocals, the lyrics slither and snake around the idea that every life form carries its own toxin that brings both rebirth and decay.

“For this record, we wanted to push the boundaries of our music and further develop certain sounds that were only sketched in our previous works,” Ponte Del Diavolo says. “After two years of live shows, we set out to capture the atmosphere of our performances and put it on record. The core of bass, guitar, and drums was recorded live to recreate that feeling of being at one of our shows.”

De Venom Natura comes out February 13, 2026 on Season of Mist. More details will be announced soon.
